    Ball (knee) has been cleared to do "pretty much everything on the floor" and is on track to participate in 5-on-5 drills in August, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.

    Advice: Vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas provided an update on Ball's status after the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft and was optimistic Ball could be ready in time for training camp. Ball hasn't played since January of 2022 due to left knee issues that have required three surgeries, but he's been taking part in basketball activities and could be healthy enough to play in the 2024-25 season.   • Headed to Brooklyn
    The Knicks traded Bogdanovic (foot/wrist) to the Nets along with four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick via the Bucks, an unprotected pick swap and a second-round pick in exchange for Mikal Bridges on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

    Advice: Bogdanovic will head to Brooklyn after being traded from the Pistons to the Knicks in 2023-24. The veteran forward saw his production decrease after coming to New York as a bench option, averaging 10.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in 19.2 minutes across 29 regular-season appearances. Bogdanovic underwent surgery on his left wrist and was reported to need left foot surgery after the Knicks' postseason exit, but he is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. In Brooklyn, the 34-year-old forward will likely compete for a starting forward spot alongside Cameron Johnson (toe) and could return to his previous average of nearly 20 points per game.   • Woj: Nets acquire Bojan Bogdanovic, draft picks
    According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets have acquired Bojan Bogdanovic and multiple draft picks from the Knicks in exchange for Mikal Bridges.

    Advice: Bogdanovic’s salary for 2024-25 was not fully guaranteed before this deal; that would likely have to change to make the trade work. More critical for Brooklyn is the draft capital they’ve received: four unprotected first-round picks from the Knicks (2025, 2027, 2029, and 2031), another 2025 first-rounder via Milwaukee (top-4 protected), and an unprotected first-round pick swap. In addition to Bridges, the Knicks will receive a 2026 second-round pick. Restocking the coffers was essential for lead executive Sean Marks, given the picks that Brooklyn surrendered in prior deals.   • Will be cleared in near future
    Morant (shoulder) said Saturday he will be medically cleared for basketball activities in about two weeks, CBSSports.com reports.

    Advice: Morant played only nine games last year due to a 25-game suspension and a major shoulder injury. He averaged 25.1 points, 8.1 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals across 35.3 minutes. The All-Star had successful surgery on his right shoulder in mid-January and will be able to practice soon, meaning he should be 100 percent for next season's training camp.   • Frank Ntilikina signs to play in Serbia
    Frank Ntilikina has signed a two-year deal with Partizan Belgrade in Serbia.

    Advice: Ntilikina suited up in five games for the Hornets last season before he was waived at the trade deadline. Now, he’ll head to play in Serbia after seven seasons in the NBA. Fantasy managers won’t have to adjust their draft boards because of this move. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:49 am
     
  • Pelicans ‘dangling’ Brandon Ingram in trade talks
    The Pelicans are reportedly “dangling” Brandon Ingram in trade talks and have contacted both Houston and Philadelphia about a potential deal, per The Athletic’s Kelly Iko.

    Advice: Since their season ended, rumors have been swirling about a BI trade, and it seems like it’s only a matter of time before he is with a new organization. New Orleans looked into a deal that landed them Alperen Sengun, but the Rockets reportedly have no interest in that. Philly is in the market for a third star and have already been tied to wings like Paul George and Jimmy Butler.   • Kobe Bufkin expected to play in Summer League
    Hawks GM Landry Fields said on Monday that Kobe Bufkin is expected to play in Summer League action next month.

    Advice: Bufkin, the 15th overall pick in last summer’s draft, appeared in 17 games for the Hawks this season. So, Fields stating that the rookie point guard is expected to participate in Summer League action is unsurprising. Bufkin is a better option for dynasty leagues than redrafts due to the presence of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray on the roster.
