    • Plays big minutes in Play-In win
Embiid logged 23 points (6-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 105-104 Play-In Game victory over Miami.

Advice: Embiid had a complicated matchup against Bam Adebayo, arguably one of the best defensive centers in the NBA, and even though Embiid's efficiency was subpar, he still led Philadelphia in scoring while coming through with a clutch performance from the charity stripe. Embiid should be in line for a productive first-round series against the Knicks, and even though he only faced them once in the regular season, he delivered a 30-point, 10-rebound, three-block performance on Jan. 5. • Joel Embiid scores team-high 23 points vs. Miami
Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 23 points (6-of-17 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), 15 rebounds, five assists, one steal and two triples in a 105-104 win over Miami on Wednesday.

Advice: Embiid struggled with his shot, but he still led the team’s scoring because he had an effective night at the free throw line. Philly managed his minutes in his first five games back after having knee surgery, so his 38 minutes in this game were the most that he has played since January. He ended up scoring nearly half of his point in the fourth quarter to help them complete the comeback after they trailed by 12 points at halftime. They’ll need him to play much better than he did in this one when they take on the Knicks in their first round series. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:57 pm
    • Joel Embiid (knee) active Wednesday vs. Heat
Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) will play in the 76ers’ Wednesday play-in matchup against the Heat.

Advice: Embiid began trending in the right direction ahead of tip-off and has been upgraded to active for Monday. He should handle his normal workload barring injury. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:44 pm
    • Good to go against Miami
Embiid is available and in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Play-In Tournament game against the 76ers.

Advice: As expected, Embiid has been upgraded from questionable to available Tuesday despite dealing with a left knee injury. The superstar big man tallied 29 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes during his only other appearance against Miami this season. • Joel Embiid (knee) probable Wednesday vs. Heat
Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) has been upgraded from questionable to probable ahead of the 76ers’ Wednesday meeting with the Heat.

Advice: Embiid is back in the mix after resting for Philadelphia’s regular-season finale. The big man handled a normal workload in each of his previous outings and will likely do so again against Miami. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:45 pm
    • Expected to play Wednesday
Embiid (knee) remains questionable but is expected to play Wednesday against the Heat, barring a setback during warmups, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Embiid got through the team's morning shootaround without issue, but the 76ers' medical staff would like him to get through his pregame routine before officially clearing him. However, it seems very likely that he'll be out there, so he's a reasonable target in daily fantasy leagues. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:36 pm
    • Goes through shootaround
Embiid (knee) participated in Wednesday's morning shootaround, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Advice: Embiid logged two straight practices coming into the morning shootaround, but he's still carrying a questionable tag for Wednesday's game against Miami. Despite the questionable designation, it would be a big surprise if Embiid was unable to suit up Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:41 am
    • De’Anthony Melton (back) out Wednesday vs. Miami
De’Anthony Melton (back injury recovery) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.

Advice: While optimism was high when Melton returned to action during the final week of the regular season, he remained restricted regarding playing time. He did not practice on Tuesday and will not be available for the Play-In game against the Heat. Also, it’s unknown if (or when) Melton will be available if the 76ers play their way into the playoffs. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:06 pm
    • Joel Embiid (knee) questionable Wednesday vs. MIA
Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.

Advice: Embiid sat out Philadelphia’s regular-season finale, with 76ers coach Nick Nurse saying it was merely for precautionary reasons. The reigning MVP is questionable for Wednesday’s Play-In game, and while Mo Bamba would likely start if Embiid cannot play, Paul Reed would get most of the minutes. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:48 pm
