  • Tiago Splitter (hip) contemplating surgery?
Tiago Splitter (hip) is reportedly contemplating surgery.

Advice: Splitter will be held out through the All-Star break, and whatever the course of treatment he decides, Tiago is set to spend an extended amount of time on the sidelines. Mike Scott and Mike Muscala will pick up some extra minutes in his absence, but none of these guys can be considered viable options in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:24 am
  • Hassan Whiteside game-time for Tues vs Spurs
Hassan Whiteside (left ankle) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: Whiteside was able to practice on Tuesday and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said he was encouraged by how the big man looked, so it's likely we'll see him on the court against the Spurs. Check back to make sure he's active for Tuesday, but Whiteside should be started as long as he's in the Heat lineup. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:27 am
  • Thanasis Antetokounmpo returns to D-League
Thanasis Antetokounmpo has elected to return to the D-League.

Advice: Antetokoumpo's 10-day contract with the Knicks expired and Lower Case will now return to the Westchester Knicks since he didn't get a second 10-day contract. While Giannis' brother could eventually provide fantasy value, that time is not now and he can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:33 am
  • DET recalls Spencer Dinwiddie from D-League
The Pistons have recalled Spencer Dinwiddie (ankle) from the D-League.

Advice: The move is purely procedure as Dinwiddie is dealing with an ankle injury and the Pistons want to let their doctors look at it. While Dinwiddie has potential, the Pistons are committed to leaving him in the D-League this season and he can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:23 am
  • Matthew Dellavedova likely out until ASB
Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) is likely out until after the All-Star break.

Advice: The Cavs won't confirm that Delly will miss Wednesday's game against the Lakers, but keeping him out until after the break will give him 17 days in between games to heal his hamstring. We'll keep an eye on his status after shootaround on Wednesday, but Mo Williams will likely see a bit of a minutes boost against the Lakers. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:09 am
  • Josh McRoberts not drawing much interest
The trade market for Josh McRoberts is close to non-existent according to Bobby Marks of Yahoo Sports.

Advice: McRoberts is signed through the 2017-18 season, but his myriad of injuries have scared away potential suitors. The 28-year-old is only averaging 14.9 minutes in the 24 games he's been healthy this season and can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:38 am
  • Markieff Morris scores 23 points
Markieff Morris scored 23 points during a 122-106 loss to the Thunder on Monday with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers.

Advice: Before the game, Kevin Durant said Markieff is "playing at an All-Star level right now." Morris is playing hard and he's transformed into a different player under coach Earl Watson. Morris likely boosted his trade value and the Suns may be able to get something for him. He should be owned, but a trade will hurt his value a lot. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:08 pm
  • Archie Goodwin scores 20 points in loss
Archie Goodwin scored 20 points with four rebounds, seven assists and two turnovers against the Thunder on Monday night.

Advice: Coach Earl Watson said after the game he thought Goodwin had a "solid" effort and he really liked that Goodwin only had two turnovers. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Brandon Knight comes back, but Goodwin should still be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
  • Damian Lillard scores 33 points in win
Damian Lillard scored 33 points during a 112-106 win in Memphis on Monday, adding four rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers in 43 minutes.

Advice: It's his 12th 30-point game on the season, which is the most he's had in a season already. Lillard also broke his tie with Russell Westbrook for sixth place in the points-per-game rankings. Lillard was also really struggling from deep, but he put up five-plus treys for the first time since Jan. 23. The Blazers are 0.5 games behind the Jazz for the eighth seed. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:49 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores 13 points
Allen Crabbe (illness) returned from a two-game absence on Monday against the Grizzlies with 13 points, four rebounds, three steals, one block and one turnover in 21 minutes.

Advice: He picked up where he left off with a very nice line. Crabbe has been cruising along with mid-round value in his last 10, so he is worth a hold in standard leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm
  • Meyers Leonard plays 13 minutes
Meyers Leonard scored three points with two rebounds and one turnover in 13 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: He started the scoring with a 3-pointer tonight, but that was it after that. Leonard was awesome against the Grizzlies in the postseason last year, but it just isn't happening for the Legend this year. He is only a hold in deep leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm
  • Matt Barnes scores just five in loss
Matt Barnes scored five points with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Blazers on Monday.

Advice: If Jeff Green gets big minutes at power forward, that should open up some minutes for Barnes at the three. He's not going to put up eye-popping stat lines, but Green's across-the-board output makes him someone worth owning in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:19 pm
  • Shabazz Muhammad scores 14 points in loss
Shabazz Muhammad scored 14 points with nine boards and one assist in 25 minutes vs. the Pelicans on Monday.

Advice: He took advantage of some extra minutes in garbage time, but unfortunately he shot just 4-of-13 from the field. Muhammad should continue to steal some of Tayshaun Prince's minutes (19) moving forward since the Wolves are looking towards the future, but he's a better stash in points leagues because he doesn't shoot many 3-pointers or generate many assists, steals or blocks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
  • Gorgui Dieng double-doubles in loss
Gorgui Dieng double-doubled in Monday's loss to the Pelicans, scoring 12 points with 12 boards, four assists, one 3-pointer and one block in 31 minutes.

Advice: He would've played even more, but the game was basically out of reach in the third quarter. This was just his second 3-point make of the season, but he might be more willing to take them as his confidence continues to grow. He has been a top-40 player over his last five games with averages of 16.0 points, 10.2 boards, 3.6 assists and 0.6 blocks on 63.0 percent shooting from the field and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic scores 28 points in OT win
Nikola Vucevic scored 28 points against the Hawks during a 117-110 overtime win on Monday, adding 13 rebounds, six assists and one block.

Advice: The Hawks are probably glad they won't see Vucevic for a while after he beat them for a game-winner on Sunday. Vooch is playing really well again over his last five, averaging 19.8 points, 8.8 boards, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks on 51.7 percent from the field. He's sitting on third-round value on the season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:02 pm
  • Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee to start
Meyers Leonard will start next to Mason Plumlee on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: The Grizzlies start a frontcourt featuring Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, so the Blazers need Leonard's size tonight. Leonard has been inconsistent all season, so he's not a great add in most leagues. The move will send Moe Harkless to the bench. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:08 pm
  • Allen Crabbe (illness) is available Monday
Allen Crabbe (illness) is available for Monday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: He didn't play on Saturday vs. the Rockets, but he must be feeling better and will likely see close to his normal workload on Monday. If the Blazers decide to limit his minutes as a precaution, Gerald Henderson would benefit. Crabbe is worth a look if you need points and treys. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:34 pm
  • Matt Dellavedova likely out through break
Matt Dellavedova (hamstring) is out Monday and is unlikely for Wednesday.

Advice: The Cavs will allow him to rest through the break. With Dellavedova out, Mo Williams should get minutes as Kyrie Irving's backup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:26 pm
  • Tiago Splitter getting second opinion
Tiago Splitter (hip) is getting a second opinion on his right hip.

Advice: He is out through the break and he could be out for multiple weeks. Splitter can be left on the wire in just about all leagues. There will be more minutes for Mike Scott and Mike Muscala. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:11 pm
  • Whiteside (ankle) expected to play on Tuesday
Despite not practicing on Monday, Hassan Whiteside (left ankle) is expected to play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Although Whiteside's ankle swelled on him overnight, Erik Spoelstra said Whiteside is okay and "could play big minutes tomorrow." It's unclear if that's Spo's way of hinting that Whiteside will be back in the first five, but Amare Stoudemire is tentatively expected to stick in the starting lineup for now. Either way, Whiteside should be active on all fantasy rosters. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:58 am
  • McRoberts focused on health, contributing
Josh McRoberts is focused on getting healthy and contributing to the Heat.

Advice: "I’m just trying to get healthy and have a chance to help the team in a way that I know I can," he said. It's been a trying road for McBob in Miami, relegating him to waiver wire fodder in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:18 am
  • Thanasis Antetokounmpo's 10-day deal expires
Thanasis Antetokounmpo's 10-day contract has expired.

Advice: The Knicks could re-sign him to another 10-day deal, but there has been no indication that New York is interested in that move. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:15 am
  • Matthew Dellavedova out again on Monday night
Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) will not play on Monday vs. Sacramento.

Advice: Delly's absence means Mo Williams will continue to remain in the rotation, but only as a backup to a healthy Kyrie Irving. Leave Williams on the waiver wire in your fantasy league. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:19 am
  • Whiteside done talking to Spoelstra about 4Q
Hassan Whiteside said he's "done" talking to Erik Spoelstra about his fourth quarter playing time.

Advice: "I’m done talking to Coach about it," he said. "I have nothing else– We’ve talked about it so many times, ain’t no reason to keep talking to him about it. I’m just gonna play." While Spo said the "offense needed a little bit of a punch" on Sunday in explaining Whiteside's crunchtime benching, this has been a theme throughout the season. The coach did admit that Whiteside's ankle tweak was part of the big man sitting, but the big man said he was "fine" and it seemed like a convenient excuse for Spoelstra. Regardless of when his minutes are coming or whether or not he's starting, Whiteside should be locked into all lineups. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:06 am
  • Hassan Whiteside double-doubles in 17 minutes
Hassan Whiteside put up 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 17 minutes off the bench on Sunday, but failed to record a block for the first time since January 8.

Advice: Whiteside again spent the entire fourth quarter on the bench, as head coach Erik Spoelstra elected to go small, and he said after the game that while it was "a little surprising," there's nothing he can do about it. Hassan did suffer a minor left ankle tweak during the game, but that was not the reason he spent the fourth quarter on the sidelines, and he said during his post-game interview that he's "fine," and he could have played through the injury. For now, we'll consider him probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:52 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic scores 22, buries game-winner
Nikola Vucevic scored 22 points on 11-of-19 shooting (including a game-winning, turnaround jumper) on Sunday, to go with nine boards, two assists, two steals and an unfortunate six turnovers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Vucevic's value has dipped to fifth-round status over the past month, largely due to the fact that he's been shooting just 43.5 percent from the field, so tonight's 57.8 percent shooting performance was a welcome sight for his owners. As a career 51.0 percent shooter, Vuc should get the shooting sorted out soon enough, so now would be a good time to float out some buy-low offers. The video of the buzzer-beating shot can be viewed in the video below. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:30 pm
  • Allen Crabbe (illness) questionable Monday
Allen Crabbe (illness) is questionable to play Monday vs. Memphis.

Advice: Crabbe is dealing with a stomach bug, and if he can't give it a go on Monday, it'll be Gerald Henderson and Moe Harkless picking up some extended run. Check back for another update on Crabbe following Monday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:58 am
  • Heat sticking with same starting five
Hassan Whiteside will come off the bench again on Sunday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: The Heat have won two straight games with Whiteside coming off the bench, so they don't feel the need to make any changes yet. Amare Stoudemire will continue to start, but he's better suited for deeper leagues. Whiteside is coming off a triple-double with 10 points, 10 boards and 10 blocks, so he belongs in all fantasy lineups no matter what. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:22 am
  • Tiago Splitter out through All-Star break
Tiago Splitter (hip) will be held out until after the All-Star break.

Advice: The Hawks know better than to rush Splitter back given his injury history, so it's a wise move. Mike Muscala and Mike Scott will continue to see more minutes off the bench, but not enough to make an impact in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:39 am
  • Archie Goodwin scores 14 points in loss
Archie Goodwin scored 14 points with six boards, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in Saturday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: He unfortunately had more turnovers (4) than assists for the third time in his last five games, but to be fair Goodwin is still learning how to be a point guard. Brandon Knight (groin) will be sidelined through the All-Star break and possibly more, so Goodwin is still worth holding onto if you don't mind the heavy turnovers. It also helps that Knight is a potential shut-down candidate with the Suns playing for ping pong balls. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:39 pm
  • Markieff Morris scores 17 w/ eight dimes
Markieff Morris scored 17 points with seven boards, eight assists, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: His stat line was fantastic, but the only negative is that he shot just 6-of-22 from the field because the Suns weren't generating any easy looks. The Suns have been using Morris as the focal point of their offense, but to be clear they are more than likely just showcasing him for a trade. Regardless, he needs to be owned in all leagues right now with averages of 16.0 points, 6.4 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.6 steals and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five games. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:08 pm
  • Gorgui Dieng scores season-high 24 points
Gorgui Dieng put up season-highs 24 points, seven assists and 41 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday with 13 rebounds and one block.

Advice: Coach Sam Mitchell said after the game he might be willing to find out if Dieng can play 40 minutes regularly. "We're going to find out," Mitchell said. Dieng's offensive game has turned the corner in a big way with 17.6 points per game in his last five. Once the blocks start coming, he should have a sharp upward trend. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:07 pm
  • Matt Barnes double-doubles in loss
Matt Barnes posted a double-double on Saturday vs. the Mavericks, scoring 17 points with 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and five 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Wow. He just returned from a hamstring injury on Friday vs. the Knicks, so the fact that he was able to log 36 minutes in the overtime loss is a really good sign. Barnes is still flirting with top-80 value on the season, so he needs to be owned in standard leagues after a performance like this one. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:42 pm
  • Damian Lillard scores 21 in rout at Houston
Damian Lillard scored 21 points with four rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and three 3-pointers during a 96-79 win in Houston on Saturday.

Advice: Rockets fans will probably never doubt Lillard, but this wasn't even his best game as a scorer. His assists have been the story lately and Lillard has put up three consecutive double-doubles for the first time in his NBA career. Yes, he should have made the All-Star Team. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:28 pm
  • Meyers Leonard scores three points
Meyers Leonard played just 15 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday with three points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers.

Advice: This comes with Allen Crabbe (illness) and Noah Vonleh (ankle) out. He even made his teammate Gerald Henderson mad for missing a read on a play. Leonard is not the same player he was last year, so even the biggest Legend backers have to be off that bandwagon for this season. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:16 pm
  • Matt Dellavedova out again on Saturday
Matt Dellavedova (hamstring) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: His hamstring issue has been a problem for two weeks and the Cavs may rest him until the break. Mo Williams will be in the rotation again while this news also helps Iman Shumpert because of no Kevin Love. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:55 pm
  • Allen Crabbe (illness) out against Rockets
Allen Crabbe (illness) will miss Saturday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: He showed up at the arena with an illness and he is officially inactive. That should mean more minutes for Gerald Henderson and Moe Harkless. If you have Crabbe in your DFS lineup, you might need to swap him out. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 1:08 pm
  • Tiago Splitter (hip) ruled out for Sunday
Tiago Splitter (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday against the Magic.

Advice: He is likely out through the break with his troublesome hip injury. Expect more Mike Muscala and Mike Scott to back up Al Horford. Splitter can be dropped basically everywhere. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:30 pm
  • Matt Barnes returns, scores 12
Matt Barnes (hamstring) returned during a 91-85 win over the Knicks on Friday with 12 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: It was his first game at MSG since the Derek Fisher drama. In true Barnes fashion, he did some warming up on the Knicks side of the court before the game -- this was before other Knicks came out. Barnes should be able to flirt with top-100 value with his fantasy-friendly game. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:29 pm
  • Another One: Whiteside trip-dubs with blocks
Hassan Whiteside put up his third triple-double with blocks of the season during a 98-95 win over the Hornets on Friday, finishing with 10 points, 10 boards and 10 blocks in 27 minutes.

Advice: "I'm different, simple as that," Whiteside said. Yes, he is. He's the only player to record multiple triple-doubles with blocks off the bench in his career, and he's had four trip-dubs with blocks in his career while nobody else in the NBA has any in the last three seasons. It's safe to say Whiteside is healthy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:13 pm
  • Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) iffy Saturday
Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) won't play on Friday and he's questionable to return vs. the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: Tyronn Lue suggested prior to Friday's game that Dellavedova might not be ready to face New Orleans, which isn't a good sign. Mo Williams is picking up a handful of minutes in Delly's absence, but he's not a viable fantasy option. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:25 pm
  • Matt Barnes will play vs. Knicks on Friday
Matt Barnes (hamstring) will play against the Knicks on Friday.

Advice: "We should be fully loaded," coach Dave Joerger said. Yes, this means he gets his first game at MSG since the Derek Fisher drama. Barnes is still a hold in standard leagues, but he's lost some value with Jeff Green tearing it up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:09 pm
  • Matt Barnes (hamstring) is still questionable
Matt Barnes (hamstring) remains questionable for Friday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Given his history with Knicks head coach Derek Fisher, Barnes will do everything in his power to play tonight. He did go through the morning shootaround, so it sounds like he could be a game-time call. If he misses another game, Jeff Green and Tony Allen would benefit the most. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:21 am
  • Hassan Whiteside will come off the bench
Hassan Whiteside will come off the bench again on Friday vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Coach Erik Spoelstra declined to comment if this would be a permanent move, but the Heat are likely just being cautious with the oft-injured big man. Whiteside played just 17 minutes on Wednesday, piling up 10 points with nine rebounds, one steal and five blocks. Whether he starts or not, Whiteside is a must-start player. As for Amare Stoudemire, he could continue to have some value in deeper leagues moving forward, but he will have to stay healthy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:05 am
  • Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) out Friday
Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) will not play on Friday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: This will be his second straight game on the shelf and the Cavs shouldn't be in any hurry to rush him back. Mo Williams played just 11 minutes on Wednesday as the backup point guard, so there's no real reason to consider him outside of deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:06 am
  • Damian Lillard scores 27 in loss
Damian Lillard scored 27 points with five rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday during a 110-103 loss.

Advice: The assists have been really nice for Lillard with three double-digit dime games in his last five. The should-be All-Star's team losing this one drops them out of the eighth seed with Utah moving up. It'll be interesting to see what the Blazers do at the deadline, but it won't affect Lillard. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:23 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores 17 points
Allen Crabbe scored 17 points with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

Advice: He's been terrific and the Cal product is really going to put some pressure on the Blazers this summer when it comes time to sign him. Crabbe has sixth-round value in standard leagues in 2016, so he's worth owning right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:20 pm
  • Meyers Leonard scored nine points
Meyers Leonard scored nine points with five rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

Advice: The 7'1" big has one block and one steal combined since Jan. 13. He's not rebounding and he's not shooting the ball well, so it's almost impossible to defend him as a hold right now in standard leagues. Noah Vonleh (ankle) shouldn't be out long. He barely has top-200 value in 2016. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:17 pm
  • Archie Goodwin scores 22 points in loss
Archie Goodwin scored 22 points against the Rockets on Thursday, adding one rebound, seven assists, two 3-pointers and six turnovers in 38 minutes.

Advice: The Suns are really embracing the pass, but sometimes the plays aren't there and that led to their 24 turnovers tonight. Goodwin's minutes seem to be locked up until late February at the very least, so he's worth holding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:59 pm
  • Markieff Morris cools off in loss
Markieff Morris made 4-of-12 for 14 points against the Rockets on Thursday with five rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: The offense went through him quite a bit tonight, but the efficiency wasn't there like it was in his 30-point explosion. Morris was even teaching the younger guys tonight, which didn't happen often under Jeff Hornacek. A trade will kill his value, but he's worth owning as long as he's starting. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:55 pm
  • Meyers Leonard listed as the starter
Meyers Leonard is listed as the starter on Thursday against the Raptors for Noah Vonleh (ankle).

Advice: This is pretty useless info because coach Terry Stotts make changes all the time. We'll pass along anything additional as it comes along. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:07 pm
  • Tiago Splitter (hip) ruled out for Friday
Tiago Splitter (right hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Splitter said on Wednesday that his injury is "not good," so he could be looking at some extended time on the shelf. It'll be Mike Muscala and Mike Scott earning some extended run in his absence, but neither of those guys will be able to do much with Atlanta's frontcourt healthy. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:06 pm
  • Matt Barnes (hamstring) questionable Friday
Matt Barnes (right hamstring) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Matt Barnes sat out Monday's matchup with New Orleans, and given the tricky nature of hamstring injuries, it wouldn't be shocking to see him miss Friday's contest as well. Jeff Green, Tony Allen and Vince Carter will see an uptick in minutes if Barnes is out, with Green offering the most upside. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:21 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside feels fine playing w/padding
Hassan Whiteside (oblique) played with extra padding on Wednesday and said he felt fine after the game.

Advice: Whiteside only played 17 minutes on Wednesday, but was able to put up 10 points, nine rebounds, one steal, and five blocks in limited action. "It's weird, but it's ok. I can still dunk on people," Whiteside said of the extra padding. Whiteside is still getting over his injury, but his stat line from Wednesday shows he's a must-start player as long as he's on the court. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:58 am
  • Gorgui Dieng scores 12 with five TOs
Gorgui Dieng scored 12 points with 10 rebounds and five turnovers against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: Where did the blocks go? Dieng only has one block combined in his last four games in 145 minutes. His five turnovers also matched a season high. As long as he's getting minutes, he should be close to a must-start player. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:06 am
  • Shabazz Muhammad gets 12 minutes
Shabazz Muhammad played 12 minutes against the Clippers on Wednesday with four points, one rebound, no turnovers and no fouls.

Advice: No injuries to report here as coach Sam Mitchell just had to give Tayshaun Prince 31 minutes, giving Andrew Wiggins some small forward minutes and even Damjan Rudez got in there for 18 minutes. Expect Muhammad to be better, but his upside isn't great anyway. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:47 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside hits all 5 shots in return
Hassan Whiteside returned from an oblique injury on Wednesday and hit 5-of-5 shots for 10 points, nine rebounds, a steal and five blocks in just 17 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Wow. That's quite a stat line for just 17 minutes of action and it's time to get him back into your lineup ASAP. He missed his previous six games due to the injury, and most of a seventh, so tonight's line was great to see, especially considering the low minutes. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:56 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside warming up, intends to play
Hassan Whiteside (hip) is warming up with the intention to play against the Mavs.

Advice: If he can give it a go, he will likely come off the bench. Whiteside will likely have his minutes monitored, as well. His return would also mean less burn for Amare Stoudemire and most of the wings. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:05 pm
  • Matt Dellavedova (hamstring) will not play
Matt Dellavedova (hamstring) will not play against the Hornets on Wednesday.

Advice: He is going to rest his bothersome hamstring and it sounds like it's precautionary. The Cavs figure to get Mo Williams back in the rotation tonight, but he's not a reliable fantasy option unless you are hoping for garbage time against a shorthanded Hornets team. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:57 pm
  • Matt Dellavedova (hamstring) a game-time call
Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) is a game-time decision to face the Hornets on Wednesday.

Advice: He has been fighting the issue for a week and only played 12 minutes on Monday, so perhaps this hamstring issue explains why. The Cavs don't need Dellavedova too much right now and could opt to throw Mo Williams back in the rotation. We'll have another update shortly. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:39 pm
  • Tiago Splitter not doing well with calf issue
Tiago Splitter (calf) said his injury is "not good" on Wednesday.

Advice: Splitter is out tonight and will likely miss more games. He is getting frustrated and was asked about it. "I am, I am a little bit," Splitter said. "At the same time, I’m working hard to get back. I want to play. It has been a little bit frustrating." Expect to see more run for Mike Muscala and Mike Scott. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:14 pm
  • Stein: Raptors interested in Markieff Morris
The Raptors are showing interest in Markieff Morris, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: Stein reported earlier that the Raptors have interest in P.J. Tucker. The Raptors and Suns played last night, which included Morris going for a season-high 30 points in his best game of the season. Coach Earl Watson called Morris "the main focus" of the offense, so a trade to Toronto would cripple his value. If he's moved, that would help Mirza Teletovic, who is also believed to be on the block. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:53 am
  • Gorgui Dieng scores 19 points w/ five assists
Gorgui Dieng scored 19 points with six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 37 minutes vs. the Lakers on Tuesday.

Advice: Kevin Garnett (knee) and Nikola Pekovic (foot) are likely going to miss some more time and are also shut-down candidates, so Dieng should play heavy minutes next to Karl-Anthony Towns down the stretch. He's now averaging 17.2 points, 9.2 boards, 2.4 assists, 0.4 blocks and 1.2 steals over his last five games while shooting 63.0 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from the line, returning top-25 value in standard leagues in that span. He's poised for a monster finish to the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:19 pm
  • Watson: Markieff Morris is 'focus' of offense
Earl Watson said after Tuesday's game, when Markieff Morris exploded for 30 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer, that Morris is now the focal point of the team's struggling offense.

Advice: "He is the main focus of our offense moving forward, we know that," Watson said after the game. Morris racked up season highs in points, rebounds, assists and blocks (tie) and is officially a must-pickup player in fantasy hoops. He could flop at any time or be traded into a bad situation, but based on what his coach said tonight, you have every reason to try to get him. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:55 pm
  • Damian Lillard scores 14 w/ 12 dimes
Damian Lillard scored 14 points with 12 assists, five boards and three turnovers in Tuesday's win over the Bucks.

Advice: C.J. McCollum carried the Blazers with 30 points, so Lillard was happy to be the facilitator and he was able to record his tenth double-double of the season. Lillard and McCollum have the Blazers right in the middle of the playoff race, and they also became one of three pairs of teammates to have 1,000 points each along with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan of Toronto and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Warriors. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:48 pm
  • Meyers Leonard scores nine points in win
Meyers Leonard scored nine points with five boards, two assists and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes vs. the Bucks on Tuesday.

Advice: The minutes were nice, but the production could've been a little better. He scored 13 points with three treys in 32 minutes on Sunday, but he has been very inconsistent all season. However, Noah Vonleh went down with an ankle sprain and could miss time, so Leonard could be looking at additional minutes moving forward. For now, just put him on your radar if you could use a big capable of knocking down a couple of treys. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:27 pm
  • Archie Goodwin drops 18 & 12 in loss
Archie Goodwin broke out of a funk on Tuesday, racking up 18 points, a career-high 12 assists and two 3-pointers on 7-of-12 shooting in 45 minutes.

Advice: Wow. Just when it looked like the Goodwin party might be coming to an end, he pulled a great game out of his hat. He came in averaging just 4.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists over his last two games, hitting 4-of-26 shots. He righted the ship tonight and if he was dropped, or you've had your eye on him, it's time to pick him up. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:04 pm
  • Markieff Morris goes for 30 & 11 in start
Markieff Morris started over Mirza Teletovic on Tuesday and went off for 30 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer on 13-of-20 shooting in 41 minutes.

Advice: The points, boards, assists and blocks (tie) were all season highs for the disgruntled Morris, and the Suns and new coach Earl Watson are in full showcase mode as they hope to trade Morris. This will certainly help his trade value and he is officially the hottest pickup of the night in fantasy. He could fade just as quickly as he exploded, but he's probably worth grabbing if you have someone to drop. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:56 pm
  • Markieff Morris will start on Tuesday
Markieff Morris will start on Tuesday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: The Suns will likely be sellers at the trade deadline and Morris is a candidate to be moved, so they're clearly trying to boost his value. He hasn't played well this season, and a trade to a contender wouldn't necessarily be a good thing for his value. For now, he's better suited for deeper leagues. Mirza Teletovic will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:55 pm
  • Markieff Morris could start Tuesday vs. TOR?
Markieff Morris may return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors, according to beat reporter Paul Coro.

Advice: Coro is basing this assessment off newly appointed interim head coach Earl Watson's quotes from earlier today when he said he's going to "nurture and embrace" Morris. Markieff's playing time could be trending up with a new coach at the helm, so he's someone to consider as a speculative add in deep leagues if you have someone to cut. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:29 pm
  • Watson says the Suns will 'embrace' Markieff
Coach Earl Watson said the Suns are going to "nurture and embrace" Markieff Morris.

Advice: He said the team needs him and for Morris' attitude "to be positive no matter what." Watson talked a lot about a family environment, passion and honesty in his press conference, so Morris may be receptive at least in the short term. Morris and Watson have a good relationship and the new coach says he wants clearer roles, so there's a good chance Morris gets the lion's share of power forward minutes tonight. He's not playing well, so he's only worth a look if you have something to cut for now. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:08 pm
  • Archie Goodwin has some work to do
Coach Earl Watson said Archie Goodwin is "finding the niche in his game" during his press conference on Tuesday.

Advice: The interim coach also called Goodwin a two-guard playing the point. Watson said he wants clearer roles in the rotation, so it'll be interesting to see how he utilizes Goodwin. Watson's said he can't tell Goodwin to get 6-8 assists per night and it'll have to be a team approach. The next couple games for Goodwin will be huge, but it starts tonight in a tough matchup against Kyle Lowry. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:06 pm
  • Tiago Splitter (hip) ruled out for Wednesday
Tiago Splitter (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the 76ers.

Advice: It'll be Splitter's second straight game on the sidelines and Mike Muscala will likely pick up the bulk of Splitter's minutes on Wednesday. Neither of these guys have any fantasy value in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:53 pm
  • Matt Barnes (right hamstring) out vs. NO
Matt Barnes (right hamstring) will not play against the Pelicans on Monday.

Advice: This injury popped up out of nowhere and it's unknown how much time he'll miss. With Barnes out, there should be more run for for Jeff Green, Courtney Lee and Tony Allen. Keep Barnes benched for now. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:46 pm
  • Matt Barnes is a game-time call vs. Pelicans
Matt Barnes (hamstring) is a game-time call against the Pelicans on Monday, but is closer to doubtful.

Advice: Barnes' hamstring issue is new, but he's dealt with this problem before. If Barnes can't go, that means there will be more minutes for Courtney Lee, Jeff Green and Tony Allen. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:36 pm
  • Tiago Splitter has been ruled out Monday
Tiago Splitter (right hip) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Well, that explains why the Hawks recalled Walter Tavares from the D-League. Spliiter only plays minutes in the teens, so he isn't a fantasy asset anyways. Mike Muscala is expected to get most of Splitter's minutes. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:22 pm
  • Allen Crabbe helps Blazers beat Minnesota
Allen Crabbe came off the bench for eight points on 4-of-7 in 23 minutes vs. the Wolves on Sunday, adding three rebounds and one steal.

Advice: Crabbe is having a career year and he's quietly emerged with top-75 value in January (9-cat), posting 11.8 points, 1.6 triples, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 assists, while making 47.3 percent FGs without a single miss at the FT line. He's not flashy, but is worth a pickup as a cheap, well-rounded roto option. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 9:21 pm
  • Meyers Leonard w/ three 3-pointers in 32 mins
Meyers Leonard had 13 points, six rebounds, three 3-pointers, one assist and one block in 32 minutes on Sunday, the most playing time he's seen in January.

Advice: The Wolves and Blazers shot a combined 10-of-43 from deep tonight, so Leonard's 3-of-7 mark stood out like a beacon of efficiency. He's shooting well but simply hasn't contributed enough across-the-board stats to be worth owning in typical leagues -- thus far in 2016 he's averaging 5.2 boards, 1.5 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.2 blocks. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 9:00 pm
  • Shabazz Muhammad invisible in 13 minutes
Shabazz Muhammad failed to score in 13 minutes of action vs. the Blazers, finishing Sunday's road loss with two turnovers, three personal fouls and no other stats to his credit.

Advice: Yikes. It was Muhammad's lowest playing time since Dec. 28 and he won't be a consistent option while Tayshaun Prince is logging heavy minutes as a starter -- Prince got 30 minutes tonight, Andrew Wiggins played 35 minutes, and Zach LaVine saw 25 minutes as a shooting guard, so there wasn't much room for Shabazz in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 8:57 pm
  • Markieff Morris gets season-high four steals
Markieff Morris collected a season-high four steals on Sunday, adding 13 points with four rebounds and four assists.

Advice: Morris shot 5-of-13 from the field in 26 minutes of action, and he's showing some signs of life over the Suns' past four games. He's on the trade block but Phoenix is hoping to extract more value than what they've been offered thus far, so it looks like Morris will be stuck in his current role until the trade deadline is impending. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:14 pm
  • Archie Goodwin shoots 1-of-11 vs. Mavericks
Archie Goodwin shot just 1-of-11 vs. the Mavericks, finishing Sunday's road loss with three points, four rebounds, one steal and three turnovers.

Advice: Goodwin is averaging just 7.0 points on 7-of-36 shooting (19.4 percent) in his past three games, a steep decline considering how well he played immediately after Brandon Knight's groin injury. He was 1-of-8 within five feet of the rim and needs to finish better to sustain his offense -- fantasy owners should consider benching him until he heats up. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:12 pm
  • Nikola Vucevic's shooting slump continues
Nikola Vucevic's shooting slump continued on Sunday as he shot just 6-of-17 to finish with 16 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.

Advice: Vuc's rebounds, assists and blocks have been rock-solid but his shot has abandoned him -- in the past eight games he shot a combined 39.1 percent from the field. An upward correction is inevitable for the career 51.0 percent shooter. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 6:56 pm
  • Josh McRoberts logs 18 minutes vs. Atlanta
Josh McRoberts came off the bench for six points (1-of-3 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds and one assist on Sunday, playing 18 minutes in a lopsided win vs. the Hawks.

Advice: McRoberts is on a strict minute-limit and he's irrelevant in the vast majority of leagues -- the veteran has attempted a mere 63 shots in 327 minutes of action this season. We'll let you know if his prospects improve. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 6:19 pm
  • Sam Mitchell says Dieng is improving
Wolves coach Sam Mitchell said that Gorgui Dieng is getting "a lot better."

Advice: "He works hard, he’s getting a lot better," Mitchell said. "When he sets good screens and rolls to the basket, it just makes us a better basketball team. It just opens up spacing and creates more opportunities for guys." Dieng admitted that it was difficult to play limited minutes under Mitchell at the start of the season, but his role has steadily increased and he said he is "more comfortable" playing the four next to Karl-Anthony Towns. Dieng scored 20 points with 15 boards, two assists and two steals in his last game and needs to be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 9:55 am
  • Matt Barnes fails to score in 22 minutes
Matt Barnes missed all seven of his shots from the field on Saturday vs. the Kings and failed to score in 22 minutes.

Advice: Yikes. The good news is that Barnes salvaged his line with three boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks, so it's hard to drop a player with that kind of upside after one bad performance. He had five fouls which explains the low minutes, but we would like him better if the Grizzlies went back to their small-ball lineup. Barnes had 13 points, four boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers in his previous game, so it makes sense to give him another chance. Rotoworld.com Jan 30, 8:58 pm
  • Damian Lillard scores 22 points in win
Damian Lillard scored a game-high 22 points against the Hornets on Friday during a 109-91 win, adding five rebounds, six assists, three steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Lillard is in the top 10 for points, assists and treys while the Blazers are knocking on the door of the eighth seed, but he did not get an All-Star bid. He also had a throw-down on Tyler Hansbrough (in link below). He's sitting on top-15 value in his last 10. Rotoworld.com Jan 29, 11:29 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores 20 vs. Hornets
Allen Crabbe scored 20 points against the Hornets on Friday with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, two turnovers and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Crabbe isn't playing small forward as much as he was earlier in the season, but his minutes are up in his last six. Still, he only put up 12th-round value in that span, so there's little incentive to adding him. Rotoworld.com Jan 29, 11:09 pm
  • Josh McRoberts returns
Josh McRoberts made his return on Friday after missing almost two months, scoring two points with one rebound, two assists, one steal and one block in 16 minutes.

Advice: He looked fine and the Heat ran some stuff through him. McRoberts' knee issue probably won't go away and he can be left on the wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 29, 9:46 pm
