      Rudy Gobert shot 7-of-7 from the field and 4-of-7 from the foul line in Tuesday’s loss to the Nuggets, accounting for 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks in 40 minutes.

      Advice: Gobert recorded a solid overall stat line in Tuesday’s Game 5. Still, the conversations will be dominated by the fact that he was Nikola Jokic’s primary defender for most of the night. The three-time MVP went off for 40 points and 13 assists without committing a turnover, so Gobert’s numbers will only be a footnote. His offensive performance in Game 5 is encouraging because it happened with Mike Conley (Achilles) sidelined. Gobert didn’t miss a shot from the field, with six of his seven makes coming within the restricted area.     • Aaron Gordon records 18/10/5/1 line in Game 5 win
      Aaron Gordon finished Tuesday’s 112-97 win over the Timberwolves with 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 34 minutes.

      Advice: Gordon recorded his first double-double of the series on Tuesday, supplementing the Herculean efforts of Nikola Jokic to help the Nuggets take a 3-2 series lead. While he missed his lone 3-point attempt, AG has been a credible shooter from beyond the arc and the foul line. Counting Tuesday’s numbers, Gordon is shooting 8-of-13 from three and 9-of-12 from the charity stripe. During the regular season, he shot 29% from three and 65.8% from the foul line, so the production in this series has been a departure from the norm. However, a five-game sample size is nothing to scoff at. Gordon and the Nuggets will look to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:12 pm
       
    • Josh Giddey logs 12 minutes in Game 4 victory
      Josh Giddey only logged 12 minutes on Monday and finished with five points (2-of-8 FGs), two assists, one steal, one block and one triple against Dallas.

      Advice: Giddey played well over the final three games of their first round sweep of the Pelicans, but he hasn’t been able to replicate that success against Dallas. He has been a liability on both ends of the floor, which has resulted in him playing just 13.3 minutes per game through the first four games. Mark Daigneault hasn’t moved him to a reserve role yet, but he has basically been splitting minutes with Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace. Joe ended up starting the second half in place of Giddey in this one. Don’t expect Daigneault to make a starting lineup change now, but all four players should continue to see minutes in the low teens, with the hot hand seeing a larger role.       Gordon produced 27 points (11-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal over 41 minutes during Sunday's 115-107 win over the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Even though Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray get most of the attention for carrying Denver back from an 0-2 deficit, Gordon's performance Sunday can't be overlooked. He became the first player in NBA history to put up at least 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists while shooting 90 percent or better from the field in a playoff game. He's averaging 17.3 points per game while shooting 71.8 percent from the field in the series, and he'll aim to keep the momentum going ahead of Game 5 on Tuesday. Rotowire.com May 13, 8:32 am

      Aaron Gordon finished Sunday’s win over Minnesota with 27 points on 11-of-12 shooting, adding seven rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a pair of triples across 41 minutes.

      Advice: Gordon had himself a night on Sunday, missing only one shot en route to a monster scoring performance. His 27 points are tied for the second-most in his playoff career, bested only by the 29 he dropped in Game 3 of the first-round series with Los Angeles. Gordon finished behind only Nikola Jokic (35 points) for the team lead in scoring in this one, and the 62 combined points from the two big men fueled Denver to a big win.       Rudy Gobert shot 3-of-5 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Minnesota’s Game 3 loss to the Nuggets, finishing with six points, four rebounds, and one assist in 27 minutes.

      Advice: After missing Game 2 to be present for the birth of his first child, Gobert was back in the lineup for Game 3. He and the Timberwolves attempted to land a decisive blow early in Friday’s game but failed, and the reigning champions eventually pulled away. Neither Gobert nor Naz Reid (7/1/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 21 minutes) could do much with Nikola Jokic, who finished with a plus-30 rating.       Advice: Gobert returned in Game 3 after missing the previous contest due to the birth of his child, putting forth a quiet outing in Minnesota's first loss of the postseason. Gobert failed to reach double figures in both points and rebounds, not tallying 10 or more boards for the third time in the postseason and not crossing the double-digit scoring mark for the third time. In order for Minnesota to bounce back in Sunday's Game 4, Gobert may have to put together a much stronger showing than he did Friday in Minneapolis. Rotowire.com May 10, 9:14 pm
