  • Jason Richardson (foot) has a stress fracture
Jason Richardson (knee, foot) suffered a stress fracture to his right foot and he will be out indefinitely.

Advice: He showed up to practice today in a walking boot and now we know why. Without even knowing the specifics, it seems like Richardson is very likely to be out for the season, which opens up minutes for K.J. McDaniels, Chris Johnson and Elliot Williams. K.J. is the only player worthy of your attention in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Peyton Siva to be waived by the Magic
The Orlando Magic have waived Peyton Siva, Seth Curry, Kadeem Batts, and Drew Crawford on Saturday.

Advice: This was an expected move and these four players will end up in the D-league if they clear waivers. None of them have any fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • Ben McLemore passes concussion test
Ben McLemore (eye) received five stitches above his right eye, and passed his precautionary concussion test.

Advice: McLemore was disappointing last season, and even though he has made strides in the preseason, it appears he will be locked in a timeshare with promising rookie Nik Stauskas. Neither player should be targeted in standard leagues, although Stauskas would be the better choice in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Jerami Grant targeting Nov. 5
Jerami Grant (ankle) is expected to be back with the team on Nov. 5.

Advice: There hasn't been much news on his ankle injury and missing preseason has hurt his chances for minutes. Still, Henry Sims is not untouchable and fantasy owners in deep leagues will want to keep an eye on how the Sixers handle basically all of their positions. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Stuckey (sore foot) could miss opener
Rodney Stuckey (foot) said he hasn't done on-court work lately and is unsure if he'll be ready to start the season.

Advice: He's been out since Oct. 18 and this injury is taking a lot to heal than anticipated. Stuckey is expected to be a major part of the offense, but he's not exactly a must-grab player later in drafts because of a lack of triples and inefficient shooting. Rotoworld.com

  • Jason Richardson in a walking boot
Jason Richardson (knee, right foot) was in a walking boot on Saturday.

Advice: Weird. He's been recovering from knee surgery, so the walking boot on his foot is something new. Richardson's story just keeps getting weirder and he probably won't be seeing action for a while. Rotoworld.com

  • Spurs waive some guys on Saturday
The Spurs waived JaMychal Green, Fuquan Edwin and Robert Vaden on Saturday.

Advice: Edwin and Vaden didn't even play, but Green had some run. These players aren't likely to be picked up and should clear waivers. Rotoworld.com

  • Andre Roberson doesn't practice
Andre Roberson did not practice on Saturday due to an ankle injury.

Advice: There is no word on the severity, but we'd guess he'll be ready to start the season. Roberson is very likely to be the starting shooting guard for OKC, but he'll only have value in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 10:38 am
  • Perry Jones, Andre Roberson don't practice
Perry Jones III (knee) and Andre Roberson (ankle) did not practice on Saturday.

Advice: This is getting ridiculous. While Jones is probably getting a day off, it's still hard to believe how many OKC wings are missing time. Assuming everything is OK, Jones will have some late-round upside in deeper leagues with Anthony Morrow (knee) out to start the season. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 10:33 am
  • Kris Humphries is back at practice
Kris Humphries (hand) was back at practice on Saturday.

Advice: It sounds like he's ready for the opener on Wednesday. Humphries had his stitches out of his hand on Friday, so he shouldn't be limited. With Nene out due to a one-game suspension, Hump and Kevin Seraphin should get minutes. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 10:12 am
  • Raptors waive Will Cherry
    Raptors waive G Will Cherry.

Advice: He finished the preseason just 2-of-9 from the field and 1-of-3 from the line in his last two games. Cherry was great at summer league, but it obviously didn't translate. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole starts, plays well on Friday
Norris Cole started against the Grizzlies on Friday, scoring 14 points with two rebounds, seven assists and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

Advice: He needed a strong couple games and came through. Shabazz Napier was pushing Cole for minutes, but he should be in the rotation. He might actually start, but Mario Chalmers is still the better option in most leagues as a sixth man. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:38 am
  • Knicks might not keep Shane Larkin
The Knicks may opt to not exercise the option on Shane Larkin's contract.

Advice: The team was expected to pick up his option earlier this month, but they may want to keep the cap space. Larkin is expected to get some run in the second unit and may have value if Jose Calderon (calf) needs to miss time. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 8:48 am
  • Evan Fournier puts up a nice line
Evan Fournier played well off the bench against the Mavericks on Friday with 12 points, one rebound, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He's on the fantasy radar as a deep-league pickup while Victor Oladipo (face) is on the mend. Fournier will handle the ball a lot and should be have some nice short-term value. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 7:49 am
  • Meyers Leonard takes seven treys
Meyers Leonard attempted seven triples and made two of them on his way to 14 points with seven rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes against the Clippers on Friday.

Advice: Yes, this is the same Meyers Leonard who went 0-of-6 from beyond the arc last season, so that's cool. He also hit three triples on Wednesday and is hotter from beyond than arc than most sharpshooters. Hopefully you don't need us to tell you he's not going to be a savior for 3-pointers in your fantasy league. Rotoworld.com

  • Who's the Boss? Ed Davis w/ big double-double
Ed Davis was outstanding in the preseason finale with 15 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and no turnovers in 30 minutes against the Kings.

Advice: He's had a couple bright spots and is going to be in the rotation to start the season. Davis probably won't be a big enough part of the offense on opening night, but any injury to a fellow Laker big man would make him an interesting option. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries gets the stitches out
Kris Humphries (hand) had the stitches removed on Friday and hasn't tested his hand yet.

Advice: He sounds like he could be ready for the regular season and the Wizards will need him with Nene suspended for the opener. Humphries and Kevin Seraphin would get most of the minutes next to Marcin Gortat. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 1:37 pm
  • Jason Richardson may not play this season
76ers head coach Brett Brown stated during a recent interview that he feels "it will be a challenge" for Jason Richardson (knee) to suit up this season.

Advice: Richardson wasn't able to suit up all of last season, and only made it through 33 games the previous year, so if he were to play there would definitely be some serious rust to shake off. Richardson is in the final years of his career, and it really doesn't make sense for the veteran to play any games for a tanking (rebuilding?) 76er squad. Whether he plays or not, he's certainly not worth wasting a draft pick on in almost any format. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole nearing deadline for extension
Norris Cole and the Heat are closing in on the October 31st deadline for a contract extension.

Advice: "I only can control what I can control," said Cole. "That's being professional and making sure my play on the court is the best it can be, and everything else I'm sure will take care of itself." Cole has taken over starting point guard duties in Miami, and is hoping to ink a new multi-year deal. He could be a steal in later rounds of standard drafts. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 12:43 pm
  • Shane Larkin starts, scores five in win
Shane Larkin started at point guard against the Wizards on Wednesday, posting a line of five points, four boards, four assists and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: John Wall made him look pretty bad and Larkin's lack of size was a factor tonight. Still, coach Derek Fisher likes his speed and ability to penetrate, so he should be in the rotation. Unless Jose Calderon (calf) misses time, Larkin won't be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 7:31 pm
  • Thunder exercise option on Andre Roberson
The Thunder exercised their third-year option on Andre Roberson.

Advice: He's going to have a chance to start at shooting guard, but the Thunder won't draw up many plays for him. Unless he gets red hot from 3, fantasy owners can ignore Roberson in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 5:15 pm
  • Perry Jones gets his extension
The Thunder exercised their fourth-year option on Perry Jones III.

Advice: It's an obvious move and he'll have his best chance to put up numbers this season. Jones could start at small forward with Kevin Durant (foot) out, which makes sense because he can play the stretch four -- like KD does. He's on the radar in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 5:11 pm
  • Ed Davis impressive off bench vs. Phoenix
Lakers PF Ed Davis came off the bench for 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks in 23 spirited minutes vs. the Suns on Tuesday.

Advice: Davis has quickly emerged as coach Byron Scott's preferred backup big man, reducing Robert Sacre to an afterthought. He's worth a flier pick in deep leagues, as he has the potential to average 5+ rebounds and 1+ blocks with low-volume, high-percentage points. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole starts again at point guard
Norris Cole started again at point guard on Tuesday, while Mario Chalmers came off the bench at shooting guard.

Advice: It looks like Cole has won the PG job in Miami, and while he had just seven points, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer on 3-of-4 shooting tonight, he played just 14 minutes. He's a nice, cheap option at point guard in the later rounds of your draft. Especially if Chalmers is playing shooting guard, and Shabazz Napier is struggling (0-for-7 tonight). Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 8:27 pm
  • Perry Jones scores 20 off OKC bench
Perry Jones came off the bench again on Tuesday and hit 6-of-13 shots and two 3-pointers for 20 points, four rebounds and an assist.

Advice: He's still battling for the starting SF job in the absence of Kevin Durant (broken foot), but it's also possible that Anthony Morrow has won the job. Either way, Jones should get a lot of run off the bench and is worth a late look in most fantasy leagues, along with Morrow. Jones hit just 6-of-11 free throws tonight, which is something to keep an eye on if you're thinking about drafting him. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 8:07 pm
  • Norris Cole playing through back tightness
Norris Cole is expected to start on Tuesday despite dealing with tightness in his back.

Advice: Cole may start at PG for Miami on opening night, but he faces competition for minutes from both Mario Chalmers and rookie Shabazz Napier. Given the uncertainty surrounding his role and playing time, fantasy owners are better off leaving him undrafted in typical leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 3:34 pm
  • Kris Humphries' stitches not yet removed
The stitches in Kris Humphries' right hand were not removed during his post-surgery checkup on Monday.

Advice: Humphries gashed his hand on the rim during a preseason game, damaging a nerve in his right pinkie finger, and he was given a 3-4 week timetable on Oct. 10. He's very questionable to play in the Wizards' season opener, and Nene will be serving a suspension, so more minutes should be available for DeJuan Blair , Drew Gooden and Kevin Seraphin. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 11:52 am
  • Rodney Stuckey (foot) out for preseason
Rodney Stuckey (sprained right foot) will not suit up for the Pacers' final two preseason games.

Advice: The injury is not considered serious, and we expect him to be 100 percent for opening night. Stuckey is going to be the starting shooting guard for a Pacers team that doesn't have many offensive weapons, so he could score a lot of points this season. He's worth a late-round selection, but just know he doesn't contribute much to the stat sheet outside of points and free throw percentage. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 11:56 am
  • Norris Cole could lose some minutes
Norris Cole could be in jeopardy of losing regular minutes with they way rookie Shabazz Napier has played this month.

Advice: This may seem obvious, but a lot has to do with how the Heat use Mario Chalmers. He's been playing a lot of minutes at shooting guard because the Heat have some depth issues there. Meanwhile, Napier has been one of the best rookies in the preseason. If Chalmers does start at point guard, the minutes for Cole are going to be very tough to come by. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 6:49 am
  • Perry Jones leads OKC w/ 21 points off bench
Perry Jones came off the bench on Sunday but still led the Thunder with 21 points on 7-of-15 FGs and 5-of-8 FTs, eight rebounds and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: He also sank a pair of 3-pointers and is the favorite to start at SF while Kevin Durant (foot) is sidelined. Fantasy owners should view him as a low-end, short-term option capable of contributing a trickle of across-the-board stats. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 19, 7:14 pm
  • Kings pick up option on Ben McLemore
The Kings picked up their $3.2 million option on Ben McLemore's contract on Sunday.

Advice: He had a rough game on Saturday, but did well overall in preseason thus far. If McLemore can stave off Nik Stauskas, he may be worth a spot in deep leagues, but a timeshare looks imminent, making it tough to own either in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 19, 11:50 am
  • Kris Humphries (hand) to be examined Monday
Kris Humphries (hand) will have his surgically-repaired hand examined on Monday.

Advice: He is making good progress and we should know more after tomorrow's consultation. He is still expected to be out until late October at the earliest. He is not recommended for standard leagues at the moment. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 19, 11:46 am
  • Ben McLemore stinks on Saturday
Ben McLemore made just 1-of-7 from the field for four points on Saturday.

Advice: He was actually playing well in the preseason, so we can't bash him here. Still, McLemore is not worth drafting in almost any league. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 18, 10:48 pm
  • Norris Cole gets outshined by Napier
Norris Cole played just 17 minutes against the Spurs during a 111-108 win on Saturday with seven points, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: The Heat went to the line a whopping 47 times tonight because of Shabazz Napier taking 14 of them. Cole is still likely to be ahead of Napier, but the gap is closing. Neither are worthy of drafting in most leagues, but Cole does take a mild hit in deeper formats. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 18, 8:55 pm
  • Evan Fournier puts up a dud vs. Philly
Evan Fournier made 1-of-6 from the field against the 76ers on Saturday for two points, one rebound, one assist and two steals in 27 minutes.

Advice: It wasn't a great game for him after being rested on Wednesday. Fournier is going to come off the bench and spell Victor Oladipo (knee), but he'll have some ball-handling opportunities. Fantasy owners can give him a look late in 16-team drafts. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 18, 7:17 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey (foot) is out on Saturday
Rodney Stuckey (foot) will sit out on Saturday according to coach Vogel.

Advice: His foot is just sore and the Pacer's are going to be cautious with him during the preseason. consider him day-to-day for now and expect him to be ready for the season. Stuckey is penciled in as the starting SG for the Pacers this season so if you are in need of a pure scorer, he is worth a late-round pick. C.J. Miles and Chris Copeland are the starting wings on Saturday. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 18, 2:36 pm
  • Leonard (neck) gets back on the floor
Meyers Leonard (neck) returned to action on Friday, playing nine minutes off the bench with six points, five rebounds and three assists.

Advice: Leonard is a man without a role for the Blazers these days. With Chris Kaman set to get backup center minutes he's trying to morph into a stretch four but that's going to be a heavy lift. Fantasy owners can safely ignore him until he shows us something. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 17, 10:47 pm
  • Roberson goes for 15 and 10 in start vs. TOR
Andre Roberson started once again on Friday against the Raptors and finished with 15 points, 10 boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.

Advice: This is not typical of Roberson's stat-set and owners can dismiss it unless we see it again. The defensive specialist is probably looking at 20-28 mpg while Kevin Durant is out, and he won't be able to sniff standard league value even with that much playing time. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 17, 10:11 pm
  • Cole to start over Chalmers again on Friday
Norris Cole will start at point guard instead of Mario Chalmers in Friday's exhibition against the Warriors.

Advice: All Eric Spoelstra would offer about the decision to local media was, "Just trying to get to know our team." There's been a lot of smoke surrounding Chalmers' disappearing act this preseason and owners should consider the possibility that Cole is moving in on the job. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 17, 4:37 pm
  • Meyers Leonard will play on Friday night
Meyers Leonard (neck) will play against Maccabi Haifa on Friday.

Advice: He suffered a neck injury last week and returned to practice on Wednesday. With Chris Kaman helping off the bench, Leonard is going to have a tough time getting minutes. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 17, 6:50 am
  • Andre Roberson logs 32 minutes off bench
Andre Roberson played 32 minutes off the bench on Thursday, scoring 10 points with seven boards, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Advice: Jeremy Lamb has been awful and somehow posted a minus-31 in plus-minutes on Thursday. Roberson should be considered as the favorite to start at shooting guard on opening night, but he's not going to get a ton of shots. He's more of a deep-league, short-term target. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 17, 6:25 am
  • Perry Jones III takes 14 shots
Perry Jones made 4-of-14 from the field for nine points with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.

Advice: He started at power forward and is the heavy favorite to start at small forward on opening night. Jones' ability to play the four is a big reason why he might take on most of Kevin Durant's (foot) minutes. Fantasy owners can consider him in deep leagues, but he's not on the radar in standards. Rotoworld.com
    Oct 16, 7:37 pm
  • Knicks pick up Shane Larkin's 3rd year option
The New York Knicks have decided to pick up Shake Larkin's third-year contract option, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Advice: After going back and forth, the Knicks have decided to guarantee the $1.67 million on his Larkin's for the 2015-16 season. The 22-year-old is averaging 2.5 points and 1.5 assists in 20 minutes per game during the preseason and isn't much of a standard league fantasy option unless Jose Calderon goes down with an injury.
