    • Jordan Hill's forgettable December continues
Jordan Hill finished Sunday's loss to the Suns with nine points on 3-of-11 shooting, a season-low one rebound, two assists, one steal, zero blocks and three turnovers in 22 minutes.

Advice: The Suns give up the fourth-most rebounds to their opponents (44.9) and this dud sums up a disappointing month for Hill. Thus far in December he's averaged 26.8 minutes, shot 45.9 percent from the field, averaged 6.6 rebounds, and scored double-digit points in seven out of 14 games. Those numbers are all way down from November but fantasy owners should hang tight in the expectation of a bounce-back in 2015. Rotoworld.com

    • Wilson Chandler double-doubles on Sunday
Wilson Chandler double-doubled on Sunday vs. the Raptors, finishing with 20 points, 10 boards, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

Advice: He has been playing big minutes with Danilo Gallinari (knee) on the sidelines, and has been one of the most reliable players for Denver this season. Chandler has seen his name appear in several trade rumors recently which would undoubtedly hurt his fantasy value, but nothing is imminent right now and his owners shouldn't be too concerned. Chandler is worth owning in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Darrell Arthur (leg) returns to action Sunday
Darrell Arthur (leg) returned to action for Sunday's game vs. the Raptors, finishing with two points on 1-of-6 shooting with two boards in 11 minutes.

Advice: While the Nuggets will be glad to have some added depth to their bench, he won't see many minutes with Kenneth Faried playing this well. Arthur can be ignored in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green held to single-digits Sunday
Gerald Green scored eight points on 2-of-10 shooting on Sunday, marking the first time all season that he's been held to single-digit scoring in two consecutive games.

Advice: This was even more unexpected against the Lakers, who allow the most points (109.0) and second-most 3-pointers (9.0) of any team in the NBA. Green's two makes were both from downtown and he chipped in two rebounds, two assists and one block to salvage some value, and he's locked into late-round fantasy value while playing 20-25 minutes as a key reserve in Phoenix. • Kenneth Faried scores 17 pts with 19 boards
Kenneth Faried scored 17 points with 19 boards in Sunday's loss to the Raptors, adding two assists in 38 minutes.

Advice: He had 26 points with a career-high 25 rebounds on Friday, and it looks like he has officially turned things around. It is amazing what confidence can do for a player, as the Manimal looks completely reenergized after a disastrous start to the season. The buy-low window is now closed. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant defers to LAK teammates in return
Kobe Bryant (rest) returned to action on Sunday with 10 points (4-of-10 shooting), eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and five turnovers in 32 minutes during the Lakers' 107-116 loss to the Suns.

Advice: The Black Mamba had missed three straight games to rest his fatigued body, and he spent most of Sunday's game looking for teammates rather than dominating the ball as he had during his first 24 games this season (attempting 22.4 shots per game). The Lakers have no playoff aspirations and they'll be cautious with him the rest of the season -- fantasy owners should plug him into all active lineups while routinely checking his status before games. • Nick Young scores 21 points w/ Kobe active
Nick Young scored 21 points with Kobe Bryant back in the Lakers' lineup on Sunday, hitting four 3-pointers with a pair of assists in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Young struggled over the past three games, averaging 11.0 points on 31.4 percent shooting, and admitted that he much prefers to have Kobe active since he deflects defensive pressure away from his teammates. Young's prolific scoring has been good enough for mid-round value in 25 minutes per game this season, though his 2.9 three-pointers per game may be a bit unrealistic on a season-long basis. • Carmelo Anthony (knee) intends to play Wed
Carmelo Anthony (knee) intends to play on Wednesday vs. the Clippers after saying that he normally feels better with a few days of rest.

Advice: We admire Melo's courage, but there is no reason for him to continue to labor through knee pain in a lost season for the Knicks -- he said his knee feels "heavy, and weak and fatigued." His owners may want to trade him while they still can, as the possibility of him shutting it down is still looming despite Melo saying that he is not ready to do that. Check back for further updates, and expect Travis Wear, Quincy Acy, and Tim Hardaway Jr. to all see a boost if Melo sits. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) nets season-high 17 pts
Nicolas Batum made 6-of-8 shots with five 3-pointers on Sunday, finishing with a season-high 17 points, one rebound, three assists, one steal and one block in only 28 minutes.

Advice: The fact that this was Batum's season-high in scoring is a testament to his struggles, as he's averaging the lowest numbers since his rookie season in points (8.8), 3-pointers (1.0), field goal percentage (38.9 percent) and Player Efficiency Rating (12.3). Batum's top-20 fantasy upside makes him an interesting buy-low candidate despite his early-season struggles. Rotoworld.com

    • Serge Ibaka gets season-high 26 pts Sunday
Serge Ibaka scored a season-high 26 points vs. the undersized Mavericks on Sunday, making 11-of-14 field goals with three 3-pointers in OKC's 107-112 road defeat.

Advice: Serge didn't block any shots but he added 10 rebounds and his fantasy owners won't complain about this offensive eruption. His scoring is down from last season despite an increase in shot attempts with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant both missing significant time, so hopefully this will carry over into Wednesday's matchup with the up-tempo Suns. • Carmelo Anthony (sore knee) will not return
Carmelo Anthony (sore knee) will not return to Sunday's game against Portland, finishing with 13 points and five boards in 19 minutes.

Advice: Anthony was clearly in pain and actually asked to come out of the game before half. His knee has been an issue for weeks now and there is no reason for the Knicks to risk his health in a lost season. We will pass along further updates as soon as we know more, but after the game coach Derek Fisher already said that Melo would be questionable for their game on Dec. 31. The possibility of the Knicks shutting him down later in the season will likely increase with this news, and Travis Wear, Quincy Acy, and Tim Hardaway Jr. will all see additional minutes should Melo miss more time. • Danny Green piles up fantasy stats vs Rockets
Danny Green's terrific season continued with 24 points (6-of-13 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), three 3-pointers, four boards, three assists and five steals in Sunday's 110-106 win vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Green joins Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook as the only players averaging top-20 fantasy value (9-cat) in under 32 minutes per game, and we can't emphasize enough how undervalued he's been in fantasy leagues this season. There's no reason to expect a drop-off as the Spurs try to claw their way up from seventh place in the Western Conference. Rotoworld.com

    • Trevor Ariza held to seven pts on 2-of-9 FGs
Trevor Ariza logged 37 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Spurs, making 2-of-9 shots to finish with only seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Advice: He made one 3-pointer and chipped in three assists to scrape together some fantasy value, and one off game would be nothing for his fantasy owners to fret about. Of much greater concern is the fact that Ariza's shooting slump extends back to Nov. 12, the last time he made at least half of his shots in a game -- in the 21 games since then, he's a combined 89-of-273 from the field (32.6 percent). Carmelo Anthony (knee) will start on Sunday vs. Portland.

Advice: There was some fear that he would be rested considering he said that his knee was sore after logging 46 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Kings, but the Knicks are going to roll him on out there. Fantasy owners will be wise to get Melo in all active lineups, but should really think about trading him due to the looming possibility of the Knicks shutting him down for the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Love posts 20 & 10 in Sunday's loss
Kevin Love recorded his 16th double-double of the season on Sunday, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a lopsided loss to the visiting Pistons.

Advice: Love made 9-of-19 shots with one 3-pointer and his owners must be encouraged by his season-high in shot attempts, though it came with Kyrie Irving (knee) sidelined. It's worth noting that Love continues to spend much of his time on the perimeter offensively, which is a big reason why he hasn't shot better than 50 percent in any of the Cavs' past 14 games. • Jonas Jerebko plays well in big bench role
Jonas Jerebko finished Sunday's easy road win with 10 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: Greg Monroe is the most obvious winner with Josh Smith no longer in Detroit, but his departure also clears more playing time for Jerebko off the bench. Anthony Tolliver could dent Jerebko's production once he's activated, but deep-league owners should consider speculatively adding Jerebko in case he maintains a 25-30 minute role as a primary reserve. • Kobe Bryant (soreness) will play Sunday
Kobe Bryant (soreness) will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: Bryant's return to action will send Wayne Ellington back to the bench, and take away some touches from Carlos Boozer. Kobe will be limited to 30 minutes tonight, but that's plenty of time for him to put up stats in an up-tempo game with Phoenix. He's obviously a must-start option every time he's in uniform, so go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com

    • Darrell Arthur (leg) is available to play Sun
Darrell Arthur (leg) will be able to play on Sunday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He was available to play on Friday as well, but the Nuggets opted to give him some additional rest. However, Kenneth Faried has finally broken out of his slump so there likely won't be a lot of minutes available for Arthur. Feel free to keep him on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony's status unclear for Sunday
Carmelo Anthony's status for Sunday's game with Portland is unclear after he logged 46 minutes on Saturday in a loss to the Kings.

Advice: We will leave him off of the injury report for now, but owners will want to check back for updates considering how much his knee has impacted him this season. The Knicks have no reason to risk Anthony's health considering how their season has gone, so be prepared to have a backup plan ready. Owners would be wise to sell-high before it's too late, as there is a real possibility of Melo shutting it down for the season in the near future. Expect Tim Hardaway Jr. to take as many shots as he pleases if Melo sits this one out. Rotoworld.com

    • Luc Mbah a Moute (calf) has no timetable
Luc Mbah a Moute is dealing with a strained left calf and has no timetable for a return.

Advice: He was forced to miss Saturday's game, and knowing how cautious the 76ers are it appears that he will likely see additional time on the sidelines. Mbah a Moute actually had some decent value in deeper leagues, but that run is likely over and owners can plan on looking elsewhere. Henry Sims started on Saturday, but is only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young eager to have Kobe Bryant back
Nick Young is eager to have Kobe Bryant back in the lineup in order to ease the pressure on himself.

Advice: "We’re always going to need Kobe out there on the floor, especially for players like me," said Young. "That releases a lot of pressure." Swaggy P has averaged just 11 points per game with Bryant out of the lineup over the last three games, so his impending return may actually help Young get better looks. Bryant is probable to play on Sunday, meaning Young's minutes could take a slight dip, though his ability to fill up the scoreboard in a hurry makes him worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony looks healthy, scores 36
Carmelo Anthony made 13-of-29 from the field for 36 points against the Kings during an overtime 135-129 loss with 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

Advice: Yeah, about that knee soreness. Anthony has played a whopping 41.8 minutes per game in his last four since returning from knee soreness, averaging 30.8 points, 7.5 boards, 3.5 dimes and 1.3 steals. He is a prime shut down candidate, so his hot streak right now presents a great sell-high chance for his owners. Rotoworld.com

    • Luc Mbah a Moute will not play on Saturday
Luc Mbah a Moute (calf) will not play on Saturday against the Jazz.

Advice: This is a new injury for Mbah a Moute. The 76ers tend to keep their players out longer than most teams and he has missed a lot of time due to injury in his career, so he's likely out for a handful of games. While he's out, it'll be a collective effort from K.J. McDaniels, JaKarr Sampson, Robert Covington and Henry Sims picking up extra run. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 4:49 pm
    • Kobe Bryant (soreness) is probable for Sunday
Kobe Bryant (soreness) is listed as probable to play against the Suns on Sunday.

Advice: The Lakers did list him as probable for Christmas against the Bulls and he missed that game, so this probable tag should be viewed as more of a questionable one. Bryant has complained about his Achilles and his entire body not being at 100 percent, so his owners will want to check back. Wayne Ellington is obviously much less appealing should Kobe make it back. Rotoworld.com

    • Trevor Ariza (knee contusion) is probable
Trevor Ariza (left knee contusion) is probable to play against the Spurs on Sunday.

Advice: This is a new injury and he's already had a minor problem with his calf. Ariza is really struggling in scoring efficiency, but his output in triples has helped him hold solid fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

    • David Blatt says Love benched for matchup
Coach David Blatt said he benched Kevin Love in the fourth quarter because of the matchup.

Advice: "The way that Orlando was playing, they didn't make a particular substitution and we were just matched up so well defensively, we decided to not to go with it," Blatt said. "Certainly to Kevin's credit, he actually kind of recognized it and supported that." There was never really much of a concern to begin with and it shouldn't be a problem unless this becomes a trend. • Batum (wrist) returns to turn in nice game
Nicolas Batum (wrist) returned to action in Friday's win over the Sixers, scoring 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Advice: Batum had his number called more often with LaMarcus Aldridge out and we're in the midst of a pretty big buy low window for him. As long as the wrist injury isn't serious, he stands a very good chance of improving his rock bottom shooting percentages. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 1:49 am
    • Arthur (leg) returns to action on Friday
Darrell Arthur (leg) was available but did not play on Friday against the Wolves.

Advice: Kenneth Faried went off for 26 & 25 but played his normal 30 minutes, with J.J. Hickson getting the backup power forward minutes tonight. Arthur had been playing well enough for some deep leagues but with Faried's big night he's probably back to being mostly irrelevant in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Found: Kenneth Faried goes for 26 & 25
Kenneth Faried exploded in the Nuggets' 106-102 win over the Wolves on Friday, scoring 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting with a career-high 25 rebounds and three assists.

Advice: It looks like the big talk with Brian Shaw is paying off and we're finally off the hook for telling you guys to hold on all that time (we think). A happy and engaged Faried is a completely different player than the one we've seen in the beginning of the past two seasons. Rotoworld.com

    • Young hits five threes on 5-of-16 night
Nick Young hit 5-of-8 threes but missed his other eight shots from the field, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Young is never going to be an efficiency monster and he has done enough recently to be owned in most formats. In 20 games this season, he is averaging 14.9 points with 2.5 treys and 1.2 combined steals and blocks while hitting 40 percent from the field and 89 percent from the line -- good for top 75-110 value in 8- and 9-cat formats, respectively. • Ibaka posts 13 points and season-high 14 rebs
Serge Ibaka scored 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting (including three treys) with a season-high 14 rebounds and four blocks in the Thunder's 98-75 win over the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: Owners are looking for better efficiency but on a night with that many boards, threes and blocks it's most certainly a win. If he doesn't get the efficiency taken care of, he's not going to sniff the first to second round value many thought he would have and it won't matter how many threes he's hitting. Rotoworld.com

    • Ariza double-doubles with 15 & 10 vs. MEM
Trevor Ariza double-doubled in the Rockets' overtime win over the Grizzlies on Friday, scoring 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including four threes) with 10 rebounds, two steals and one block.

Advice: Ariza flies underneath the radar playing next to superstars James Harden and Dwight Howard, but his top-60 campaign is exactly what owners bargained for on draft day and there's no end in sight. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko lives up to the billing
Jonas Jerebko played 28 minutes as expected on Friday with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: It was a solid game with seven field goal attempts. Garbage time was not really a factor and Jerebko should see minutes in the mid-20s off the bench. He is worth a look in deep leagues for his production in treys, points, boards and occasional defense. Rotoworld.com

    • Love Seat: Kevin benched in fourth quarter
Kevin Love did not play in the fourth quarter against the Magic on Friday, finishing with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He played the entire third quarter and had a handful of awful defensive possessions. Considering the Cavs were missing 40 percent of their starting lineup with Kyrie Irving (knee) and Anderson Varejao (Achilles) out, this was a major surprise. The Cavs might have played their best defensive quarter of the season while Love sat, but there's still no need to panic. He should be back for his regular rotation on Saturday. Rotoworld.com

    • Darrell Arthur will return on Friday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will play against the Wolves on Friday.

Advice: He has been out for a week due to a mysterious leg injury. Arthur is injury-prone, so the Nuggets might ease him back into the rotation tonight. Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson take mild hits. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 5:35 pm
    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) will play against Philly
Nicolas Batum (wrist) will play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He might not be looking for his shot due to the pain in his wrist, but Batum isn't a high volume scorer anyway. His fantasy owners can plug him back into their lineups in this favorable matchup. Allen Crabbe will likely move back to the bench. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 5:20 pm
    • Kobe Bryant (soreness) out Friday vs. Mavs
Kobe Bryant (general soreness) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Mavs, but coach Byron Scott likes Kobe's chances of playing Sunday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Kobe was doubtful heading into this one, so this news shouldn't come as a surprise. "I just need to kind of hit the reset button," said Bryant. "What happens is my body realizes how messed up it is. Then everything starts hurting. It’s an opportunity to treat everything." While Kobe is sidelined, Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and Carlos Boozer will all see some increased opportunity on offense. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 4:02 pm
    • Kobe Bryant listed as questionable for Friday
Kobe Bryant is listed as questionable for Friday against the Mavericks.

Advice: He said earlier that his Achilles is sore and his chances of playing tonight are slim, so his Bryant's fantasy owners should plan on him sitting. Wayne Ellington will likely get another start while Wes Johnson should have a higher usage rate. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 3:30 pm
    • Nicolas Batum, Aldridge are questionable
Nicolas Batum (wrist) and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) are questionable to play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Considering the matchup and how much Batum has struggled with his shot, he's probably a little closer to doubtful tonight. He did not play on Tuesday and it was mostly Allen Crabbe getting some extra run. Coach Terry Stotts plays the matchups a lot, so Crabbe is still an extremely risky play. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 11:54 am
    • Kobe Bryant (soreness) unlikely for Friday
Kobe Bryant said both of his Achilles are sore, and his chances to play Friday night vs. the Mavs are "slim."

Advice: Wayne Ellington, Nick Young, Wes Johnson, and Carlos Boozer will all be given more offensive responsibilities with Bryant on the sidelines. Nick Young has been struggling lately sans Kobe, going 6-of-19 from the field through his past two outings, so he makes for a risky option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 8:57 am
    • Jonas Jerebko ready to step into the rotation
Jonas Jerebko is ready for a larger role with the Pistons with the departure of Josh Smith.

Advice: "Obviously, with a 4 man gone - I see myself as a 4 man - a lot more minutes open up in practice and in games," Jerebko said. "I feel like I'm ready to take that step and I'm ready to go in there and battle for them." Jerebko was buried on the bench while Smith was with the team, but now he'll likely be one of the first bigs off the bench. We’ll be monitoring coach Stan Van Gundy’s rotations closely over the coming weeks, and owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with Jerebko. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant could sit out for a week?
Coach Bryon Scott told Wayne Ellington and the Lakers that "it could be a week" before Kobe Bryant returns to a game action.

Advice: This is another weird story and Bryant was probable for Thursday, so Scott basically pulled a coach Tom Thibodeau here. Bryant said before the game that he's just feeling old, which is not a surprise because he's struggled so much considering how much he's carrying his team. His fantasy owners should bench him for now. Wes Johnson is worth a look in all leagues while Wayne Ellington could play more in the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 9:08 pm
    • Nick Young doesn't play well on Christmas
Nick Young made 1-of-6 from the field for three points with one rebound, two assists and one 3-pointer on Thursday against the Bulls.

Advice: Well, at least his girlfriend bought him an Impala for Christmas. Young is just 6-of-19 in his two games without Kobe Bryant (rest), so he's been a bit of a letdown. He's been in the top 60 for fantasy value over the previous two weeks, so he'll be worth owning in standard leagues thanks to his 2.4 triples over that span. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 7:36 pm
    • Kevin Love quiet in loss to Heat
Kevin Love hit just 5-of-13 shots and zero 3-pointers for 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in Thursday's loss to the Heat.

Advice: Love is taking a back seat to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving these days, and it was a little surprising to see him struggle with Anderson Varejao out of the lineup. He'll have some great games and some duds the rest of the way, but it's become clear that he was a better fantasy player as the big dog in Minnesota, instead of the third best player in Cleveland. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 5:10 pm
    • Kobe Bryant (rest) will not play on Christmas
Head coach Byron Scott said that Kobe Bryant is dealing with some "overall soreness," and he will not suit up for the Lakers' Christmas Day game vs. the Bulls, while Kobe says there's only a "slim" chance he'll play on Friday vs. Dallas.

Advice: Bryant was listed as probable for this one, so it is surprising to see Scott suddenly pull the plug. Expect Wayne Ellington, Wes Johnson, Nick Young, and Carlos Boozer to see some increased opportunity on offense, with Young offering the most upside. Rotoworld.com

    • Danny Green struggles with shot in SA loss
Danny Green shot 4-of-13 from the field (2-of-5 from the line) for 12 points during the Spurs' Christmas Day loss to the Thunder, adding two rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and two turnovers.

Advice: Green's all-around production is what makes him an elite option, so even when he struggles to score, he's still capable of providing quality statistics in other areas. He had a difficult matchup vs. the Thunder tonight, but he'll likely bounce-back on Friday in what will be a favorable matchup vs. the Pelicans. Keep rolling him out there. Rotoworld.com

    • Serge Ibaka goes for 21 & 9 in OKC win
Serge Ibaka put up 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, with nine rebounds, three 3-pointers, two assists, two turnovers, and one block during the Thunder's Christmas Day win over the Spurs.

Advice: Ibaka had a slow start to the year, but his shot-blocking has been consistent (second in the league with 2.4 per game), and the career-high 1.3 three-pointers per game has been a nice surprise. He should only get better as the year goes on, so it would be wise to send out a few buy-low offers before he really starts rolling. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony's 34 points not enough for NY
Carmelo Anthony logged a season-high 42.5 minutes during the Knicks' Christmas Day loss to the Wizards, putting up 34 points (13-of-28 shooting), three rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers.

Advice: Melo has been logging heavy minutes over the past three games, however, that has not resulted in a win for New York. The Knicks have lost 16 of their past 17 games, and Anthony has admitted that his knee is still bothering him. Questions about Melo potentially shutting things down aren't going away anytime soon, so owners should seriously consider trying to sell-high while he's still in uniform. Rotoworld.com

    • Nuggets receive inquiries on Wilson Chandler
The Nuggets have received trade inquiries on Wilson Chandler, but would like to keep him in Denver, according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.

Advice: Dempsey reports that the Nuggets have received trade inquiries from a few teams, but would prefer to hold onto Chandler. The Nuggets may entertain those inquiries if they slip in the standings over the next few weeks as Chandler is having the best season of his career and could fetch a handsome return. With season averages of 14.0 points, 6.0 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 2.2 three-pointers, Chandler is worth owning in all standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemie will play
Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire will play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

Advice: There was no chance that they would this miss this game, but it is great that we are able to confirm it this early. Both players should be in all lineups with just five games being played on Thursday. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant will have his minutes monitored
Kobe Bryant will have his minutes monitored on a game-by-game basis moving forward according to coach Byron Scott.

Advice: "It might be something I have to do periodically along with trying to get the minutes down," Scott said. "Sometimes I’ll have to give him days off as well as games off." While Bryant is fully expected to play on Christmas, it may be wise to sell-high on the Mamba with this news because there would be no reason to risk his health in a lost season for the Lakers. Nick Young and Wes Johnson would see their value rise whenever Bryant chooses to rest so plan accordingly. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant will play vs. Bulls on Christmas
Kobe Bryant (rest) will play on Christmas Day vs. the Bulls, as expected.

Advice: Did anyone doubt that he'd suit up for this one? Bryant sat out Tuesday's game to get some much needed rest so he should be ready to put on a show against the Bulls. Get the Black Mamba in all active lineups and expect Wayne Ellington to shift back to the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill blocks season-high four shots
Jordan Hill had a season-high four blocks in Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors, adding four points, six boards and one assist in just 18 minutes.

Advice: Owners shouldn't panic too much about the minutes, as the Lakers opted to play a little smaller to match up with the Warriors. Hill is still a double-double threat whenever he gets the minutes and we'll give him a pass for this performance. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 10:32 pm
    • Nick Young scores 15 points w/ rare full line
Nick Young contributed across the board in Tuesday's upset win vs. Golden State, coming off the bench for 15 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Advice: He logged 30 minutes for the second straight game and should thrive whenever Kobe Bryant (rest) isn't in the Lakers' lineup, though he's been good enough to start under any circumstances. He has a total of 11 assists and 11 steals in 17 games this season, while shooting 41.5 percent from the field, so don't expect more than voluminous points (15.6) and 3-pointers (2.4). Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green drops 22 points off of bench
Gerald Green dropped 22 points in 23 minutes on Tuesday vs. Dallas, adding one assist, one board, one steal and six 3-pointers.

Advice: He continues to be one of the streakiest shooters in the league, but when he is feeling it he can put on quite a show. Green shot 7-of-13 from the field and a ridiculous 6-of-9 from 3-point range as the Suns opted to use a smaller lineup down the stretch. Green has been able to hold his value pretty well with limited minutes, but if owners are patient they will be rewarded with big games like these occasionally. Rotoworld.com

    • Luc Mbah a Moute scores season-high 19 points
Luc Mbah a Moute scored a season-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting during Tuesday's win vs. the Heat, adding six rebounds, two steals and one block in 39 minutes on the court.

Advice: The 28-year-old is the only veteran to have a reliable spot in coach Brett Brown's rotation. It seems inevitable that he'll take a backseat to younger players as the season progresses, but for now he's averaging a steady 8.9 points, 0.7 threes, 5.1 boards and 1.4 steals in 28 minutes per game as a starter. That's good enough for value in 16-team leagues, but he's not worth owning in shallower formats. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 8:56 pm
    • Serge Ibaka scores 16 pts w/ two 3-pointers
Serge Ibaka was ejected late in overtime on Tuesday, finishing a loss to the Blazers with 16 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds and four blocks in 33 minutes.

Advice: Ibaka's 46.0 percent shooting is well below his career average (53.8 percent), but the trade-off is that fantasy owners are getting a career-best 1.3 three-pointers per game. His rebounds are down but his shot-blocking has picked up in recent weeks, and he's steadily regaining the early-round value his owners bargained for on draft day. Rotoworld.com

    • Manimal sighting: Kenneth Faried gets 20 & 14
Kenneth Faried finally got going on Tuesday, scoring 20 points with 14 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in just 32 minutes of action.

Advice: Faried's long-suffering owners have been waiting for a game like this, which is a vivid reminder of his enormous upside. The Nuggets lost the game but it's hard to imagine coach Brian Shaw being displeased with the Manimal's effort tonight, so ideally his 30+ playing time will continue during the Nuggets' upcoming games on Friday and Sunday. • Kevin Love(thumb) notches 20 & 10 Tuesday
Kevin Love shook off a thumb injury to finish Tuesday's convincing victory with 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: He mentioned after the game that he suffered the jammed thumb against Brooklyn last Friday, but said that it was just a minor concern moving forward. Regardless, Love hit 5-of-11 shots and was 9-of-11 at the FT line. He failed to contribute any defensive stats but that's not uncommon, and his fantasy owners should be relieved to see him avoid a serious injury while snapping a two-game slump during which he'd averaged 7.0 points. He should be ready to go for the Cavs' matchup with the Heat on Christmas Day. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 7:51 pm
    • Kevin Love (hand) returns to game on Tuesday
Kevin Love suffered a hand injury in Tuesday's game against Minnesota, but he has since returned.

Advice: He is sporting a wrap on his hand but he appears to be fine. Check back after the game to see how he holds up, but for now it looks like Love dodged a bullet here. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 5:30 pm
    • Darrell Arthur (leg) out again on Tuesday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: This will be the fourth game in a row that he will miss due to a lower leg strain, and there is still no known timetable for his return. Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson will continue to see extended run in Arthur's absence. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 3:56 pm
    • Nicolas Batum out Tuesday vs Thunder
Nicolas Batum (wrist) will miss Tuesday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: There isn't a major fantasy beneficiary of Batum's absence, but Wesley Matthews will look to get increased run while Allen Crabbe, Dorrell Wright, Victor Claver, Will Barton, and C.J. McCollum should all see extra minutes. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 11:00 am
    • Kevin Love says Minnesota return emotional
Kevin Love said he won't be emotional when the Cavs face the Wolves on Tuesday, but his eventual return trip to Minnesota will bring up sentimental feelings.

Advice: Love said the game won't bring up any emotion, but his eventual return to the state when he played for six season will. "I’m sure going back to Minnesota will be a lot more emotional," he said. "Here we’ll try to step on the floor and try to get a win." While his fantasy owners would like more scoring production, there's not much else to complain about as Love is averaging 14.0 points, 11.6 boards, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 1.4 three-pointers over his last five games. • Danny Green doesn't get a stealth pop
Danny Green played 29 minutes against the Clippers on Monday with 11 points, one rebound, five assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He was extremely quiet in the first half, but turned it on late with a huge corner 3-pointer to help ice this one. Green is putting up first-round value on the season, but he'll eventually slow down. Also, the next time he isn't in the starting lineup, it should raise a red flag. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:53 pm
    • Trevor Ariza scores seven points in win
Trevor Ariza scored seven points with six rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes on Monday.

Advice: He's really cold right now and the timing couldn't be worse. Over his last 11 games, Ariza has made just 32.3 percent from the field with 2.0 turnovers and his fantasy value is bottoming out. With Corey Brewer going off tonight, it's worth seeing if his current fantasy owners is panicking. Ariza should be a mid-round guy this season. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:08 pm
    • Nicolas Batum has a quiet game vs. Rockets
Nicolas Batum had a quiet night against the Rockets on Monday with two points, two rebounds, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: He's just not taking shots right now and only had three attempts tonight. Batum posted a usage rate of just 10.5 over his last two games, which dropped his season usage rate to just 14.4 -- the second-lowest usage rate among players with at least 34 minutes per game (DeAndre Jordan). His fantasy value is near its low point. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:31 pm
    • Wilson Chandler plays 21 minutes
Wilson Chandler played 21 minutes against the Hornets on Monday with eight points, nine rebounds and one block.

Advice: He picked up some minutes at power forward tonight and he should see an overall increase to his value while Danilo Gallinari (knee) is on the shelf. Chandler is worth owning in standard leagues and perhaps owners can use this dud to try and buy low on him. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 6:55 pm
    • Kenneth Faried scores eight points
Kenneth Faried scored eight points with nine rebounds, one block and two turnovers against the Hornets on Monday.

Advice: He played just 21 minutes because the Nuggets were down 16 with six minutes left in the third quarter. Faried did not return in garbage time, so this can be viewed as just another bad game. His fantasy owners have no choice but to stay patient, and yes we know this sounds like a broken record. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 6:49 pm
    • Darrell Arthur (leg) won't play on Monday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play on Monday night against the Hornets.

Advice: He doesn't have a timetable to return and considering how long it takes for him to recover from injuries, he is likely going to miss more games. Expect J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried to get more run. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 3:42 pm
    • Trevor Ariza ready to roll vs. Portland
Trevor Ariza (calf) will play against the Blazers on Monday.

Advice: He just has some soreness to his calf and it doesn't sound like it will cost him minutes. Corey Brewer is available, but he's not likely going to be a threat to Ariza's minutes. Hopefully he breaks out of his shooting slump soon. His fantasy owners can plug him into their lineups. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 3:21 pm
    • Kenneth Faried had confidence issues?
Kenneth Faried said he's been trying to bring back his confidence.

Advice: "I knew I was kind of just slighting myself and just not focused on the main goals that I wanted to achieve," Faried said about losing playing time. "It was just all on me." It's pretty clear coach Brian Shaw isn't a complete fan of Faried's mistakes on the defensive end, but there could be a happy ending to this story. He's struggled in each of the last two Decembers and is expected to have a strong finish again. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 11:19 am
    • Carmelo Anthony says knee is still hurting
Carmelo Anthony admitted that his knee is still bothering him.

Advice: Asked about shutting it down, here was Melo's reply: "We’re dropping further and further, but we’re in December it’s hard to for me to take it easy and sit out and see what happens. I never know what’s going to happen. If I sit it out, will [the knee] get better? I’m feeling it now.’’ The Knicks are showing zero signs of improvement, and those with Anthony on the roster should really think about moving him before it's too late, even if it means selling at a slight discount. • Ariza added to injury report w/ sore calf
Trevor Ariza (sore left calf) is probable to play on Monday vs. the Blazers.

Advice: A late addition to the injury report, Ariza's calf is not considered a major issue. The Rockets can't afford any more injuries to anyone right now, and Ariza would be an especially difficult player to replace if he were forced to miss any time. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:33 am
    • Darrell Arthur (leg) doubtful again on Monday
Darrell Arthur (leg) is doubtful to play on Monday.

Advice: Arthur has a lower leg/muscle strain, and at this point, it's not clear what kind of timetable he's looking at for a return. Without him, look for Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler to each pick up some extra time. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:15 am
    • Jordan Hill nearly double-doubles Sunday
Jordan Hill nearly double-doubled vs. the Kings on Sunday, finishing with eight points, nine boards and one assist in 33 minutes.

Advice: He recently recovered from an illness and was tasked with containing DeMarcus Cousins during Sunday's game, so he'll be better than this on most nights. Hill remains a must-own player moving forward, and he'll be a nightly double-double threat as long as he continues to see more than 30 minutes per game. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 8:07 pm
    • Nick Young buries four 3-pointers, scores 26
Nick Young hit four 3-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Kings, which he finished with 26 points, five boards, one assist and two steals in 30 minutes.

Advice: He was in danger of missing this game after his altercation with Steven Adams on Friday, so his owners have to be thrilled with this result. Swaggy P has been phenomenal all season, and with rumors going around that Kobe Bryant may be rested, Young's value is only going to get higher as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 7:58 pm
    • Serge Ibaka's struggles continue on Sunday
Serge Ibaka's struggles continued on Sunday in a loss to the Pelicans, as he finished with six points on 2-of-8 shooting to go with eight boards in 38 minutes.

Advice: Ibaka has been inconsistent this season and seems to have regressed somewhat, but his role has also been jostled by the presence or absence of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Ibaka was matched up against Anthony Davis during Sunday's disappointing game, and the buy-low window is still wide open after this showing. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 7:20 pm
    • Gerald Green scores 13 points in 18 minutes
Gerald Green played just 18 minutes on Sunday, but still managed to score 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting while adding four boards and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He is going to be a hit-or-miss option every night, but he has shown that he has the ability to produce in limited minutes. However, unless his role grows he will be a tough player to own in standard formats. He is still worth a look for owners in need of 3-pointers and scoring, though. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 5:51 pm
    • Kevin Love held to single digits again Sunday
Kevin Love was held to single-digit points again on Sunday, making 4-of-9 field goals to score eight points in 35 minutes vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: He's averaging 7.0 points over the past two games and was visibly frustrated tonight, as the Grizzlies both prevented him from establishing a post game and chased him off the 3-point line. Love's declining offense may prevent him from capturing a top-10 fantasy valuation this season, but he's still a top-30 option thanks to elite rebounding and across-the-board production. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 4:12 pm
    • Carmelo Anthony scores 28 points, Knicks lose
Carmelo Anthony played 37 minutes during Sunday's loss, scoring 28 points on 12-of-26 shooting to go with five rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, and two turnovers.

Advice: The minutes suggest that Melo's knee is healthy, but with the Knicks owning a record of 5-24, there's always going to be talk of him shutting things down. Carmelo remains an elite option while he's in uniform, but owners may want to seriously consider selling high. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young will play Sunday vs. Sacramento
Nick Young will not be suspended for his flagrant 2 foul on Steve Adams during Friday's game, and he will suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Kings.

Advice: Young is averaging 14.9 points and 2.3 three-pointers per game this season on 40.8 percent shooting from the field, go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 21, 1:05 pm
    • Carmelo Anthony will play Sunday vs. Raptors
Carmelo Anthony will play on Sunday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: This is exciting news for Melo, and the good news is that he said his knee was feeling great after Saturday's loss. There will always be some risk of the Knicks opting to rest him, but this is definitely a good sign. Get Melo active in all lineups. Rotoworld.com

      Injured
    • Wilson Chandler scores four points
Wilson Chandler could not get it going against the Pacers on Saturday with four points, three rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He made 1-of-10 from the field and is in a mini-slump from beyond the arc, making just three of his last 15 attempts. Chandler is still getting solid minutes even with Danilo Gallinari suddenly coming on. He's still worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 9:53 pm
    • Kenneth Faried scores four in awful game
Kenneth Faried had one of his worst games of the season on Saturday against the Pacers, making 2-of-10 from the field with four points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Advice: He had a couple solid games before tonight and maybe the second half of a back-to-back got to him. Darrell Arthur (leg) could miss time, so Faried may get a bigger chance to redeem himself from a slow start. His owners can't be happy with him, but they just have to hang in there. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 9:46 pm
    • Trevor Ariza really struggling
Trevor Ariza made 5-of-14 from the field for 13 point with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: He has been struggling in his previous 10, making just 32.4 percent from the field for 14.8 points, 7.6 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals, but he is still holding decent value in fantasy because of the treys. His catch-and-shoot percentage is a far cry from last year, so maybe this is the John Wall effect. Still, Ariza is a must-start player. Also, there's no need to worry about Corey Brewer. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 7:37 pm
    • Stealth Pop: Danny Green, Tiago Splitter DNPs
Danny Green and Tiago Splitter have been benched for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.

Advice: He was not listed in the starting lineup and coach Gregg Popovich just kept them on the bench. Green has played magnificent basketball and certainly deserved the night off. He's been the biggest steal of fantasy drafts and should get it going on Monday against the Clippers. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 7:19 pm
    • Nicolas Batum plays 30 minutes in a win
Nicolas Batum looked healthy against the Pelicans on Saturday with 11 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals in 30 minutes.

Advice: It would have been a larger allotment of playing time, but the Blazers had this game won in the middle of the third quarter. Batum isn't quite 100 percent due to wrist and knee ailments, but he's played through plenty of issues -- an evulsion fracture to his hand last season, for example. He's a prime buy-low target. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 6:33 pm
    • Darrell Arthur (leg) out again on Saturday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: He has some sort of muscle strain and it sounds like he's going to miss time. Arthur is hurt far too often, so expect J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried to plck up most of the minutes at power forward. Wilson Chandler also plays some four, too. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 5:39 pm
    • Danny Green to come off bench on Saturday
Danny Green will come off of the bench on Saturday vs. Dallas.

Advice: There is nothing to worry about here, as coach Gregg Popovich is likely doing this to reduce Green's workload after playing 44 minutes on Friday. Marco Belinelli will draw the start, and is a sneaky plug-and-play option. Green's owners should temper their expectations for this contest, as we don't see him playing too many minutes Saturday. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 4:31 pm
    • Nicolas Batum still active for Saturday
Nicolas Batum, who intends on playing Saturday, was in pain and grimacing due to a sore wrist in pre-game warmups.

Advice: He's on the active list and all signs are pointing to him playing, but either way, he'll likely be limited by his wrist and knee, so it would be wise to look in another direction in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 2:50 pm
    • Nick Young not happy with Steven Adams
Nick Young was visibly upset after being ejected in the second half of Friday's loss to the Thunder, and is not happy with Thunder center Steven Adams.

Advice: "I got caught up in the moment, but Adams is a sneaky, dirty player," Young said. "He started talking to me the whole game, but I didn't think I was going to get ejected. I lost my mind a little bit, checked into the crazy house." Swaggy P could be looking at a suspension from the league, and if he has to miss any time Wes Johnson would see a bump in his minutes, while Wayne Ellington could also see a larger role as well. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 20, 6:48 am
    • Jordan Hill (flu) grabs just two rebounds
Jordan Hill (illness) played 21 minutes on Friday against the Thunder, but managed just 10 points with two rebounds and one block.

Advice: Hill has played well enough to be in many lineups this season, but owners may want to get him on the bench until he gets fully on track. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 11:36 pm
    • Faried goes for 14 and seven in 28 minutes
Kenneth Faried scored 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Nuggets' 109-106 win over the Clippers on Friday.

Advice: Faried is coming off an 11 & 11 game on Wednesday and though he hasn't been anywhere near as advertised this is a small step forward. He's not a must-start player, but he should remain owned and is a buy low target though at some point we have to put an expiration date on that. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 11:24 pm
    • Danny Green fireworks continue on Friday
Danny Green scored 27 points on 9-of-21 shooting (including six threes) with 10 rebounds and one steal over 44 minutes in Friday's triple-overtime loss to the Blazers.

Advice: Green is returning top 15-25 value (9/8 cat) and while he's getting heavy run this week with the absences and overtime games, his production isn't the outlier that many believe it to be. The real difference in his value lies in the increase in trust and minutes that Gregg Popovich has been willing to give him this season, and it would be pretty surprising if he's not a top-40 play at the end of the year. Dec 19, 11:08 pm
    • Nick Young gets tossed for flagrant 2 foul
Nick Young was ejected in the second half on Friday for a flagrant 2 foul.

Advice: He elbowed Steven Adams in the throat and this was an easy call for the refs. Young could be looking at a suspension from this one, so Wes Johnson and Wayne Ellington may see more playing time on Sunday. Swaggy P finished with 11 points, two rebounds, one steal and three 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 9:32 pm
    • Jordan Hill officially starting
Jordan Hill is starting against the Thunder.

Advice: He is on a minutes limit tonight, so there might be a few more minutes of Robert Sacre. Hill is worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 7:34 pm
    • Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play on Friday
Darrell Arthur (leg) will not play on Friday night against the Clippers.

Advice: He has a lower leg strain and the injuries just keep coming for Arthur. He's played well, but he's going to be tough to own in most leagues. Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson will pick up some playing time. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 5:09 pm
    • Nicolas Batum (knee) out Friday vs. the Spurs
Nicolas Batum (wrist, knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: C.J McCollum, Dorell Wright, Allen Crabbe, and Will Barton will all step up to help fill the void with Batum sidelined, but none of these guys make for a great play in standard leagues. Portland plays again Saturday against the Pelicans, and we'll be considering Batum questionable for that one. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Dec 19, 3:32 pm
    • Jordan Hill expected to start with minutes limit
Jordan Hill (illness) is expected to start against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: He is expected to have a limitation on his minutes. Hill has been sick for the past two days and was not at shootaround. His owners will want to check back and may want to consider him benching him considering this is a late game. If he's out, Robert Sacre will likely pick up his minutes while Ed Davis may also play a little more. Rotoworld.com
