    • Klay Thompson scores just 13 points in loss
Klay Thompson was held to just 13 points in a loss to the Cavaliers on Thursday, adding seven boards, four assists, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He shot just 5-of-13 from the field and turned the ball over three times, but the three blocks were his most since Jan. 17. Thompson has seen his scoring average dip to 18.2 points per game in February after averaging 25.9 points in January, so hopefully the sharpshooter gets back on track soon. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green has five steals in loss Thurs.
Draymond Green recorded five steals in Thursday's loss to the Cavaliers, finishing with 16 points, eight boards and four assists in 38 minutes.

Advice: The five steals were one off his career-high of six which was set against the Wolves on Dec. 27, but this was actually just the fifth game this season in which he didn't record either a block or steal. Green has emerged as a fantasy stud for arguably the best team in the NBA, and he is going to be one of the most fun players to own for years to come. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith scores just four points on Thurs.
J.R. Smith was held to just four points for the second straight game on Thursday vs. the Warriors, shooting just 1-of-5 from the floor and missing both of his 3-point attempts.

Advice: He saved his line with four rebounds, five assists and four steals, but this has been the story of Smith's career so far. He is one of the streakiest players in the NBA, and his owners will simply have to take the good with the bad. Smith is still worth owing in most leagues, especially now that Kyrie Irving could miss some time with a shoulder issue. Rotoworld.com

    • Poor defense led to Covington's benching Wed.
76ers' head coach Brett Brown said that Robert Covington's lackluster play on the defensive end was the reason he elected to bench him for the second and third quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.

Advice: "The luxury that I have now that we kind of have bodies is you don’t feel a prisoner to somebody like Robert," said Brown. "We’ve got [Jason Richardson] and Hollis Thompson, so there are more options there. That’s not scolding [Covington], it’s just the way the landscape works. It’s a pecking order that’s built on the standards we have defensively." While Covington sat out a large chunk of Wednesday's game, he still put up 13 points with a full line, and hopefully this doesn't become a common occurrence. Rotoworld.com

    • Paul George (leg) goes through full practice
Paul George (leg) went through a full practice on Thursday, but he remains without an official timetable to return.

Advice: This was George's first full practice since sustaining his gruesome leg injury less than seven months ago, and he was seen running with the starters. Head coach Frank Vogel said, "[George has] got a long way to go before he gets cleared to play," but remained hopeful that he'd be able to return at some point this season. George offers plenty of upside and again stated his desire to return by mid-March following Thursday’s practice. If your team is in a position where you can afford to hold on to the dead roster space while he gets himself into game shape, George is certainly worth the risk. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum says he feels refreshed
Nicolas Batum said he feels refreshed and ready for the second half of the season after spending six days in Mexico.

Advice: Batum has been mired in a season-long slump, but said six days of vacation on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico over the All-Star Break helped him hit the rest button. "I needed that," Batum said. "Just to refresh my mind. Just to go away from the stress. Just get away." Batum has has strong back-to-back performances and has averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 3.0 three-pointers in those two games. If he can keep this up, he'll go a long way toward redeeming himself with fantasy owners who spent a top-35 pick on him. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMar DeRozan shares Lowry's trash sentiments
Using Kyle Lowry's recent comments as a jumping off point, DeMar DeRozan said his game is right in the trash next to Lowry's.

Advice: DeRozan's recent play hasn't taken as big of a dip as Lowry's, but his averages of 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over his last five games are all down from his season averages. While DeRozan doesn't provide much in terms of peripheral stats, he's still a solid top-75 fantasy player due to his ability to score in bunches. Rotoworld.com

    • Kerr planning to rest Andre Iguodala
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said he's planning to give Andre Iguodala some rest in the near future.

Advice: Iguodala won't sit against the Cavaliers on Thursday, so we'll likely see him get a rest day on Friday or Sunday. Harrison Barnes will get a small bump in fantasy value on whichever day Iguodala sits, but the value boost will only last for one game. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe has no regrets with Dwight Howard
Kobe Bryant (shoulder) said he has no regrets on his relationship with Dwight Howard during Howard's time with the Lakers.

Advice: Even though Bryant is out for the season, he's had no shortage of excellent quotes as of late. "I tried teaching Dwight. I tried showing him," Bryant said. "But when he saw the reality of it, it made him uncomfortable. And it's very tough to be able to fight through that, to deal with that challenge. And I don't think he was willing to deal with that uncomfortable and combative nature." Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko sees minutes at C for C's
Jonas Jerebko played some center during Boston's win over New York on Wednesday.

Advice: Celtics head coach Brad Stevens admitted he was "throwing darts" when he put together the lineup combination that had the 27-year-old at center, but liked what he saw. "He’s got ability to stretch the floor and he does fit well with what we’re trying to do," Stevens said. He added, "He's a big that can shoot, play the 3 or the 4, space the floor. So I like his skill set and I think he’s excited about being here." It's worth monitoring Jerebko's playing time on the rebuilding Celtics, but he's better off left on waivers for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews bounces back with 31
Wesley Matthews, who missed all seven of his shots and scored four points on Sunday, got it back on Wednesday, hitting 11-of-18 shots and four 3-pointers for 31 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over the Spurs.

Advice: Yes! Arron Afflalo scored 10 points off the bench, and owners who were scared that Afflalo's presence would ruin Matthews should be feeling much better about things after this performance. And yes, he just went from a season low in scoring to a season high in back-to-back games, which is pretty hard for fantasy studs to do at this point in the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum plays well in win over Spurs
Nicolas Batum hit 6-of-8 shots for 15 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals, a block and three 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Spurs.

Advice: Yes, that's the guy you thought you were drafting early last October, and it's nice that he's finally starting to show up. He's averaging 16 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.0 3-pointers over his last two games. Hopefully he's ready to keep the train rolling, just in time for the fantasy playoffs. Rotoworld.com

    • T.J. Warren plays 20 minutes vs. Denver
T.J. Warren played 20 minutes off the bench against the Nuggets on Wednesday with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Advice: He played the majority of his minutes at small forward tonight after logging just nine minutes on Monday. Warren was one of the stars in Las Vegas Summer League and had a couple bright spots in the D-League, but his upside isn't great. He's only an option in extremely deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Luke Babbitt cools off on Wednesday
Luke Babbitt, who had 18 points, eight boards and four 3-pointers on Monday, hit just 3-of-7 shots for eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers on Wednesday.

Advice: Quincy Pondexter and Dante Cunningham were better tonight, and it's going to be tough to figure out which scrub is going to get hot for Pelicans as long as Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis are out. But Babbitt should probably be at the bottom of the list after Pondexter scored 25 tonight, while Cunningham is also starting. Rotoworld.com

    • Dante Cunningham plays well in start
Dante Cunningham started and hit 6-of-11 shots for 13 points, seven rebounds, two steals and a block in 33 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: With Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis out, Cunningham is getting some run, but this was one of his best games of the season, and it's unlikely that he'll play this well on most nights. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin still hot, scores 28 in win
Kevin Martin kept it rolling on Wednesday, hitting 10-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 28 points and two steals in an easy win over the Wizards.

Advice: He's on fire and has scored 21 or more points in six straight games. If you stuck with him through the wrist debacle, he's paying off down the stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko comes off bench for 20 points
Jonas Jerebko came off the bench to hit 7-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers for 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in just 21 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: This was easily a season high for Jerebko and his best game of the year, as the Tyler Zeller was in foul trouble and the Celtics went small. Keep an eye on him, but it's highly doubtful we'll see him do this again any time soon. Especially since they were playing against the Knicks, aka the worst team in the league. Rotoworld.com

    • Robert Covington plays well after benching
Robert Covington was benched for most of the first three quarters and did play the entire fourth quarter, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He wasn't in his usual spot on the bench for much of this game and it's unclear what exactly happened with him. However, Covington really played well down the stretch and he's very unlikely to be in jeopardy of losing his playing time. He should be considered as a top-50 player in standard leagues, especially after posting second-round value this month. Rotoworld.com

Jerami Grant started the second half for Robert Covington on Wednesday.

    • DeMar DeRozan, Lowry shoot combined 11-of-36
DeMar DeRozan scored 18 points on 7-of-21 shooting in Tuesday's road loss, while backcourt partner Kyle Lowry scored 11 points on 4-of-15 shooting.

Advice: DeRozan's fantasy value has tumbled thanks to career-low 39.6 percent shooting this season, and he's been slow to regain his All-Star form since returning from a groin injury in mid-January. He's still a steady top-75 producer in most formats, however, and an uptick in his offensive numbers would vault him into the early rounds. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith cools off, Cavs still beat Pistons
J.R. Smith had a quiet night vs. the Pistons, shooting just 1-of-4 with a pair of free throws to finish with four points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Advice: Smith was in some foul trouble and he only played 22 minutes, his fewest since joining the Cavs on Jan. 6. He's been a steady top-60 value over the past two months and fantasy owners should shrug off tonight's relative dud. Cleveland has now won 17 of their past 19 games and their early-season angst has evaporated ever since GM David Griffin traded for Smith, Iman Shumpert and Timofey Mozgov. Rotoworld.com

    • Klay Thompson cools off w/ Steph in action
Klay Thompson cooled off with Stephen Curry back in action on Tuesday, scoring 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting with one 3-pointer, one rebound, four assists, four steals and three turnovers.

Advice: The Warriors have the league's best defensive rating and they're tops in numerous offensive metrics including assist ratio, recording 19.5 assists for every 100 possessions. They also play at the league's fastest pace, which allows guys like Curry and Klay to produce big numbers every night without stifling their teammates' value. Thompson has been a top-10 fantasy player this season and there's no reason to think he can't maintain elite value down the stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant demanded 2007 trade
Kobe Bryant confirmed that he demanded a trade that never came to fruition in 2007.

Advice: "Chicago was my No. 1 choice," said Bryant on Sunday. The Lakers looked into a deal with the Bulls, but the deal is believed to have fallen apart based on the Lakers' insistence that Luol Deng was included. Bryant also confirmed that he vetoed a trade that would have sent him to Detroit for Richard Hamilton. While this news has no bearing on fantasy owners, it's interesting to wonder what might have been. Rotoworld.com

Luke Babbitt got hot off the bench in Monday's win over the Raptors, hitting 7-of-9 shots (including four threes) for 18 points with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes.

Advice: It's hard to see Babbitt providing consistent returns but if there was a situation that could make it happen it would be the one in New Orleans. If players start to call it a season early, keep an eye on him in leagues that value 3-point shooting. Rotoworld.com

    • Covington steals five, scores 16
Robert Covington scored 16 points with four rebounds, two assists, five steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes against the Heat on Monday.

Advice: He had all five steals in the first quarter and he has stepped up in the steals department as a shooting guard, stealing six in his first start at shooting guard this season. Covington has at least three treys in five of his last six games and has 3.0 per game in February. He's a must-start player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Dante Cunningham starting on Monday night
Dante Cunningham will start against the Raptors on Monday.

Advice: The Pelicans have lost their depth at power forward, so Alexis Ajinca will be come off the bench to back up Omer Asik. Cunningham rarely puts up numbers in any stat category, so Ajinca is the better option in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe says Westbrook reminds him of himself
Kobe Bryant said Russell Westbrook reminds him most of himself in how he approaches the game.

Advice: "In approach to the game: 100 percent," Kobe said. "He’s aggressive and he’s unapologetic about it. At the same time, there are some other 2-guards around the league that have similar skills as far as shooting the long ball, post-up, mid-range. James Harden, Klay Thompson." We are guessing that means Kobe won't be asking Westbrook for fashion advice anytime soon, but Kobe had some rather interesting choices in his prime, so you never know. Rotoworld.com

David Blatt said J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert have been a 'godsend' for the Cavs.

Advice: J.R. Smith has been a dream for us, as a team and for me personally," Blatt said. "I love the guy. I love coaching him. He comes to work every single day. He’s a great teammate. He’s playing both ends of the court for us consistently." He didn't just stop there, either. "He’s one of the main reasons for our turnaround, together with Iman, who simply started later because of the injury. Those guys, honestly, they’ve been a godsend. They really have. Wesley Matthews struggled vs. the Grizzlies on Sunday, shooting 0-of-7 from the field and 4-of-4 from the FT line to finish with four points in Portland's home loss.

Advice: Matthews is shooting 45.4 percent overall this season, which is impressive considering far more than half of his attempts come from downtown. He's averaging 16.3 points with career-highs in triples (3.0) and rebounds (3.6), and remains a steady top-60 option despite occasional duds like Sunday. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum double-doubles in Sunday's loss
Nicolas Batum got back on track vs. Memphis with 17 points, three 3-pointers, 10 rebounds, five assists, one block and two turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: This was Batum's first double-digit scoring performance in five games and it marks his second double-double all season. Tonight's outburst is attributable to LaMarcus Aldridge's absence with a thumb injury, but it's still encouraging to see Batum aggressive and accurate offensively. The All-Star break may have aided his rehab but it's hard to view Batum as more than a rest-of-season mid-round value. Rotoworld.com

• Robert Covington scores 16 pts in tough loss
Robert Covington's 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals weren't enough to prevent Sunday's 98-103 road loss in Orlando.

Advice: He shot 6-of-13 from the field and continues to be Philly's most reliable offensive weapon, having scored double-digit points in nine of his past 10 games. Hassan Whiteside may finish as the waiver-wire pickup of the year, but Covington isn't all that far behind. Rotoworld.com

    • Klay Thompson's 39 points not enough Sunday
Klay Thompson scored a game-high 39 points in a futile effort vs. Indiana on Sunday, making 12-of-28 field goals with five 3-pointers and three boards.

Advice: He picked up the slack with Stephen Curry (sore foot) unavailable tonight, setting new career-highs in free throws made (10) and attempted (10). Klay's supporting stats dipped over his previous 10 games to 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.6 steals while shooting 43.9 percent from the field, creating a small buy-low window that just slammed shut. Follow the link below for highlights of Klay's impressive performance. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green fouls out w/ six points Sunday
The Warriors fell to the Pacers on Sunday, as Draymond Green fouled out with six points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds, two assists and three blocks.

Advice: Dray's shot was off but his across-the-board production is familiar to his fantasy owners, who have reveled in top-30 production all season. He's slipped a bit over the past month but remains a quality early-round value down the stretch, and he's on pace to join Shawn Marion and Robert Horry as the only players since 1946-47 to average at least 1.4 threes, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. • Jonas Jerebko (illness) is available Sunday
Updating a previous report, Jonas Jerebko (illness) will be available to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Advice: Head coach Brad Stevens hinter earlier that Jerebko might not play even if he dresses, so owners should be aware of that before plugging him into lineups. There is plenty of opportunity in the Boston frontcourt now that Jared Sullinger (foot) is done for the season, so owners in deep leagues will want to monitor Jerebko closely. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko (illness) questionable Sunday
Jonas Jerebko (illness) is questionable to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Advice: Head coach Brad Stevens said that Jerebko may not play even if he does dress, so owners will want to avoid this situation if possible. Jerebko could potentially carve out a decent role in Boston with Jared Sullinger (foot) out for the season, but it looks like his debut with the Celtics could be pushed back. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith scores 17 points with full line
J.R. Smith was productive against his former team on Sunday, scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting with four assists, three rebounds, three 3-pointers, one steal, two blocks and one turnover through 29 minutes of action.

Advice: The change of scenery to Cleveland has done Smith wonders, as he's currently averaging 12.7 points and 2.5 assists, while hitting career-highs in 3-pointers (2.7) and steals (1.7). He's getting plenty of open looks playing next to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, and no longer having to think about what a triangle looks like has been a major plus for Smith. He's well worth owning in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko, Luigi Datome available Sunday
Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: While they'll be available to play, both Datome and Jerebko are stepping into a very crowded rotation in Boston, and they're unlikely to see major minutes during their first game with their new team. Jerebko does have a shot of getting some minutes with Jared Sullinger (foot) being ruled out for the remainder of the season, but he's very unlikely to gain any sort of relevancy in standard leagues as a bench player in Boston. • Dante Cunningham starting second half
Dante Cunningham started the second half at power forward on Saturday, finishing with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 27 minutes.

Advice: With Anthony Davis (shoulder) and Ryan Anderson (knee) out, there are going to be some minutes available at power forward. However, Cunningham doesn't really do anything on the stat sheet and starting the second half tonight may have been matchup-based, so he can be left on the wire in most leagues. Alexis Ajinca is the guy we'll watch tonight and is worth a look. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko will have a chance to impress
Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome will have a chance to prove whether or not they will fit into Boston's system.

Advice: "We wanted to see how those two players fit with us," Ainge said. "They’re players we’ve liked before that we watched play and develop, and we want to see how they fit in our system. We want to see how they fit with our coaches and mesh with our players. Datome is a great shooter and Jerebko is a bigger perimeter player who can do a lot of the things Kelly [Olynyk] does." While Jerebko could potentially carve out a decent role with Kelly Olynyk (ankle) and Jared Sullinger (foot) sidelined, owners in most leagues can simply use a wait-and-see approach here, as both players have a lot of work to do in order to pop up on the fantasy radar. • Lakers will not jeopardize future for Kobe
General Manager Mitch Kupchak said that he will not jeopardize the future in order to make a final playoff push for Kobe Bryant next season.

Advice: "To jeopardize the next five or seven years," Kupchak said, "bring in old veterans that make a lot of money, just to win one more year, because that’s Kobe’s last year or could be his last year, I’m not sure that fits into doing it the right way." This is the third straight season that has been cut short by injury for the Black Mamba, and it's clear that the 36-year-old's window is closing, so it makes sense for the Lakers to prepare for life after Kobe. Promising rookie Julius Randle (leg) will be back with the team next season, and the Lakers also have a top-5 protected lottery pick that will likely be used this summer which will expedite the rebuilding process. The Lakers will have plenty of cap space this offseason to make some moves, so it will be interesting to see if Kupchak stays true to his word. Rotoworld.com

Draymond Green scored 11 points with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and three 3-pointers against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: While several Western Conference teams made some improvements in the trade market, none of them compare to the improvements made by Draymond. He's a huge difference maker in reality and in fantasy, averaging 10.0 points, 11.0 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.8 blocks, 1.6 steals and 1.2 treys in his last five. The Warriors wouldn't have the No. 1 seed in the NBA without Green and his fantasy owners are probably looking good in the standings too. Rotoworld.com

    • Batum posts quiet but efficient line in loss
Nicolas Batum scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in Friday's sleepy loss to the Jazz.

Advice: It looked like the Blazers were still on break and though it may be tempting to point out the lack of scoring on this line, Batum had one of the better nights amongst his teammates. LaMarcus Aldridge hit 5-of-16 shots to put up 14 and eight with not much else, Damian Lillard scored 19 points but had just two assists to go with five turnovers, Wesley Matthews was solid with 13 points and seven boards, and Robin Lopez got swallowed up by Rudy Gobert on an eight-point, four-rebound night. We'll see what happens to Batum when Arron Afflalo gets on the floor, as he could get both motivated or gut-punched by it. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Martin scored 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs, 7-of-9 FTs) with six rebounds, two assists and one steal in Friday's win over the Suns.

Advice: Martin doesn't look like he's going to get bought out and he's at peak production levels right now. If your league's trade deadline hasn't passed, you're running out of time to sell high. Rotoworld.com

    • DeRozan goes for 21 and eight with a trey
DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, one assist and three steals in Friday's win.

Advice: DeRozan has had a disappointing season and a small buy low window might still be open. He has mid-round potential. Rotoworld.com

    • Robert Covington has a rough night
Robert Covington scored just eight points with two rebounds, one assist and one steals in 29 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: After scoring more than 20 points in back-to-back games coming into this one, Covington cooled off making just 2-of-10 from the field. Tonight was just his third game without a 3-pointer since Dec. 1. He is going to be a strong finisher and his owners have nothing to worry about. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko not with the Celtics yet
Jonas Jerebko will not play against the Kings on Friday.

Advice: He will join the team in Los Angeles for Sunday's game. Jerebko will likely get minutes, but he's not very effective at filling the stat sheet. Just watch him for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko could get minutes for Boston
Jonas Jerebko is expected to get minutes for the Celtics, but is not expected to play on Friday night against the Kings.

Advice: The Celtics are paper thin up front with Jared Sullinger (leg) out indefinitely and Kelly Olynyk (ankle) day-to-day. Jerebko isn't a strong rebounder and a whopping 68.2 percent of his shots come without a dribble, so it's hard to imagine him behind highly involved in the offense. Keep an eye on him in deep leagues, though. Rotoworld.com

    • Scott thinks Kobe Bryant has another 2 years
Lakers' head coach Byron Scott expressed during a recent interview that he feels Kobe Bryant could play another two years.

Advice: "If we get the right pieces into next year and do a pretty good job of playing basketball like I think we’re capable of doing and he stays healthy for the next year," Scott said, "and the next summer we get a couple of more pieces, he’ll take a hard look at what we got and say, ‘Maybe I’ll go one more.’" There are a lot of "ifs" in that statement, and given the fact that Kobe has now been limited to just 41 games over the past two seasons, it would seem unlikely he plays beyond his current contract that is set to expire after the 2015-16 season. • Jonas Jerebko traded to the Celtics
Jonas Jerebko was traded to the Celtics on Thursday.

Advice: He was playing just 10.5 minutes per game in February and had two DNPs. Jerebko is probably not going to be in the rotation with the Celtics and can be left on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum not wearing a wrist brace
Nicolas Batum was not wearing a wrist brace at practice on Wednesday.

Advice: The All-Star break looks like it helped him get healthy. Batum has been a colossal letdown this season and his numbers over his last nine have been awful, making just 28.2 percent from the field for averages of 7.0 points, 6.2 boards, 4.9 assists and 0.8 steals. If he is able to shoot the ball better, Batum could have a strong second half. He's a nice buy-low target. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: 'No way' Kevin Martin gets bought out
The Wolves said there's "no way" Kevin Martin is going to be bought out, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.

Advice: Coach Flip Saunders loves Martin, but of course this could be a way to build a little bit of leverage in the trade market. If Martin isn't bought out, that will make Shabazz Muhammad slightly less appealing. Martin would also have much more value on the Wolves than almost any other team. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin could pursue buyout with Wolves
Kevin Martin could pursue a buyout with the Wolves if he is not traded before the Feb. 19 trade deadline according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Advice: The Wolves are currently rebuilding for the future, so they will likely do everything they can to deal Martin to a contender for picks or younger prospects before they simply buy him out. Martin would likely use a lot of value if he is traded, so his owners may want to consider selling high while they still can. Shabazz Muhammad would become a must-own player if Martin leaves Minnesota, so it wouldn't be the worst idea to take a flier on him with the deadline quickly approaching. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green would be interested in Detroit
Draymond Green would be interested in pursuing an offer sheet with the Pistons when he becomes a restricted free agent this offseason.

Advice: While Green does enjoy playing for Golden State, he grew up in Michigan, and played for Michigan State during his college years. There will be no shortage of teams looking to give Green a big contract following this year's breakout season, however given the Warriors success this season which can largely be attributed to the fantastic play of Green, it would seem likely the Warriors do whatever they can to retain him. • Kobe talks Secretariat, Mozart, Harry Potter
Kobe Bryant (shoulder) gave a colorful interview to GQ during which he compared himself to Secretariat, Mozart, and Harry Potter villains.

Advice: While Bryant is out for the season, his interview with Chuck Klosterman is well worth a read. In between comparing himself to Mozart and a Slytherin wizard, Bryant spoke about his relationship with Phil Jackson and Shaquille O'Neal. "I was like a wild horse that had the potential to become Secretariat, but who was just too f---ing wild. So part of that was [Phil Jackson] trying to tame me." • Kobe Bryant seeking a career rebirth
Kobe Bryant (shoulder) said he's not considering retirement and is instead looking for a career "rebirth" after drawing inspiration from the Spurs' recent success.

Advice: When asked if he was considering retirement, Bryant steered the conversation a different direction. "I can't say it is the end," Kobe said. "I thought the Spurs were done 20 years ago. Those guys are still winning. So, to answer the question, I can't say this is the end of my era because I thought their [era] was done and they're still there. So I'm hoping I can have the same rebirth." While the Mamba should be ready for the start of training camp, his 2015-16 plans have no effect on fantasy owners in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
