Advice: Many pundits wanted to see an “MVP caliber” performance from Jokic in Game 3 and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player delivered on Friday. The Joker finished one assist shy of a triple-double while recording a full stat line with six “stocks.” Jokic thoroughly outplayed the Minnesota big men, with Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid combining for 13 points, six rebounds, and no blocked shots. Jaylen Brown logged 31 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers, accumulating 19 points (7-of-17 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, and one assist.

Advice: By his standards, Brown’s effort in Game 2 was pedestrian as the Cavaliers ran the Celtics out of their own arena. While he did shoot 7-of-11 from two, JB missed all six of his attempts from beyond the arc. If anything, Brown’s 4-of-6 effort in Game 1 was a departure from the norm, as he shot 31.1% from three on 5.6 attempts per game in the Miami series. If there’s a positive to take away from the first two games of the Cleveland series, it’s that Brown has gone 9-of-9 from the foul line. By comparison, he shot 45% in the first round. Advice: Jayson Tatum had a rough shooting performance in the series opener, but Brown was there to pick him up, and the latter led the Celtics in scoring with an impressive, efficient display on the offensive end of the court. Advice: Jokic can change a game by himself at any point of a contest and is dominant enough to carry Denver to victory on a regular basis, but he hasn't been able to do it in the first two games of the current series. The two-time MVP winner is averaging 27.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game through seven playoff contests. While he remains an absolute stud in fantasy regardless of what happens with the Nuggets as a team, he needs his teammates to take a step forward to avoid an early exit in their quest to win back-to-back NBA titles. Advice: The Timberwolves are taking a 2-0 lead home to Minneapolis, winning Game 2 dominantly despite not having Rudy Gobert (personal). Reid wasn’t the choice to fill the void in the starting lineup (Kyle Anderson was), but that didn’t keep him from impacting the action defensively. The NBA Sixth Man of the Year blocked four shots while hitting four 3-pointers and tallying 14 points. And Reid wasn’t the only reserve to show off his shot-blocking abilities. Nickeil Alexander-Walker racked up three blocks while also tallying 14 points, six rebounds, one assist, and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
