  • Marcus Thornton scores 15 off the bench
Marcus Thornton scored 15 points with three assists, one board, one block, one steal and one 3-pointer vs. the Warriors on Tuesday.

Advice: Thornton probably deserves more reps in Houston, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff likes Corey Brewer too much. His role has been too sporadic and he's basically a hit-or-miss option every night, so he's hard to rely on in most leagues. He scored a combined nine points in his previous two outings on 3-of-15 shooting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:20 pm
  • Trevor Ariza scores 19 w/ four treys
Trevor Ariza scored 19 points with seven rebounds, two steals and four 3-pointers in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors.

Advice: He was coming off a five-point dud vs. the Blazers, so he redeemed himself tonight. Luckily for Ariza, he will get another shot to get revenge against Portland on Wednesday in a game that will have plenty of playoff-race implications. Ariza should be treated as a top-40 player moving forward as long as he continues to start as the stretch four. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:17 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores nine points in loss
Corey Brewer scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting with five boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes vs. the Warriors on Tuesday.

Advice: His coach loves him and said that he's "disruptive" on the defensive end, but he really hasn't looked that good other than a 24-point outburst vs. the lowly Suns on Thursday. Brewer will be on the fantasy radar for any owner in need of steals or 3-pointers as long as he continues to start, but he's better suited for deeper leagues until further notice. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm
  • Terrence Jones (concussion) inactive Tuesday
Terrence Jones (concussion) was not on the active list for Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: The Rockets never updated his status, so it's safe to say that he will not play on Wednesday vs. the Blazers either. Jones will have to pass the league's concussion protocol, but the Rockets won't be in any hurry to rush him back. Unless Jones is moved before the Feb. 18 trade deadline, he won't be worth owning in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm
  • James Harden drops 37 points in loss
James Harden (finger) dropped 37 points in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors, adding five boards and five assists in 40 minutes.

Advice: His finger wasn't an issue tonight and he was very solid on the defensive end with three steals and one block, but his biggest accomplishment was holding Klay Thompson to 13 points on 5-of-19 shooting. Harden hit six 3-pointers in the loss, but he will need to be on top of his game again on Wednesday in a crucial matchup with the Blazers. Both the Rockets and the Blazers have 27 losses on the season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:01 pm
  • Klay Thompson misses all seven 3-pointers
Klay Thompson missed all seven of his 3-point attempts on Tuesday vs. the Rockets, finishing with 13 points, three assists and two boards in 35 minutes.

Advice: Needless to say, this was one of his worst performances on the offensive end this season, but James Harden deserves some credit for his defense. Even if you include tonight's dud, Thompson still has averages of 24.2 points and 3.2 3-pointers over his last five games, so he's going to be fine. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:55 pm
  • Andre Iguodala scores 12 points off bench
Andre Iguodala scored 12 points off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Rockets with six assists, six boards and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was his first game with double-digit points since Jan. 22, so this performance doesn't move the needle much for Iguodala. Harrison Barnes is playing well again and the Warriors are healthy, so his production is going to be hard to rely on in standard leagues. He's also a candidate to get a couple of maintenance days down the stretch. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Draymond Green struggles with foul trouble
Draymond Green got into a little bit of foul trouble on Tuesday vs. the Rockets, scoring eight points with nine rebounds and five assists in 32 minutes.

Advice: Incredibly, this was just his fourth game of the season without a 3-pointer, block or steal. Regardless, Green leads the league in triple-doubles this year (10) and is still returning top-15 value on the season, so there's absolutely no reason to be concerned. He gets a cupcake macthup vs. the Suns on Thursday before he makes his first trip to the All-Star game in Toronto. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:40 pm
  • Harrison Barnes looks good vs. Rockets
Harrison Barnes scored 17 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors defeat the Rockets on Tuesday.

Advice: He was 8-of-12 from the field and added seven boards, two assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes. Barnes didn't look the same when he returned from his ankle injury back in early January, but he's starting to find his groove again and is coming off a 19-point performance vs. the Thunder on Saturday with three treys. He needs to be in all lineups and his fantasy arrow is pointing up. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:25 pm
  • Rodney Hood drops 29 in OT loss
Rodney Hood hit 12-of-26 shots and two 3-pointers for 29 points, five rebounds and five assists in 43 minutes of Tuesday's overtime win against Dallas.

Advice: He hit an incredible game-tying 3-pointer that sent the game to overtime (see the link below) and played very well. He's having a fun season and even the eventual return of Alec Burks probably won't slow him down. Hood is averaging 20.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 3-pointers over his last five games. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm
  • Gordon Hayward hits game-winner in OT
Gordon Hayward hit an 18-footer with Zaza Pachulia right in his face at the buzzer on Tuesday, giving the Jazz a 121-119 overtime win against the Mavericks.

Advice: Hayward's shot wasn't falling at times tonight (8-of-20), but he still finished with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal. He was 0-for-6 from downtown, but is still having a great season and it doesn't look like the return of Derrick Favors is going to hurt him. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm
  • Wes Matthews breaks out of slump with 16
Wesley Matthews, who hadn't scored more than nine points in three straight games, hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 16 points, two rebounds and three assists in Tuesday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: The minutes are there for Matthews, but he's shooting just 40 percent from the floor over his last five games. Hopefully tonight was a sign that he's going to get hot soon, but we'll have to wait until Feb. 19 to find out if it's going to happen. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm
  • Chandler Parsons leads Mavs with 24 in loss
Chandler Parsons hit 8-of-16 shots and three 3-pointers for 24 points, one rebound, one steal and one block in 36 minutes of Tuesday's overtime loss to the Jazz.

Advice: After slumping for a couple games, Parsons is setting up nicely for a big run after the All-Star break, scoring 26 and 24 points in his last two games with eight 3-pointers and nine rebounds. He was tough to stomach over the first couple months of the season, but patient owners are now being rewarded on most nights. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
  • Jonathan Simmons quietly making noise
Jonathan Simmons played 23 minutes and had 10 points, four rebounds and one assist on 5-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Heat.

Advice: Simmons has played 23 or 24 minutes in three straight games and is averaging 9.0 points and 2.3 rebounds over that stretch, but you'd obviously have to be in a really deep league to think about adding him to your roster. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
  • Danny Green scores 15, finally getting hot
Danny Green played 31 minutes and hit 6-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and two 3-pointers in a win over the Heat on Tuesday.

Advice: This is the type of line his owners were expecting when they drafted Green in October, but it took him until late January to finally start being productive. He's averaging 11.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 3-pointers over his last five games, shooting 47 percent in 30 minutes a game. If he was dropped in your league by a disgruntled owner, hopefully you were able to cash in. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • Justise Winslow disappears on Tuesday
Justise Winslow played 24 minutes on Tuesday, but hit just 1-of-2 shots for two points, one assist and two turnovers.

Advice: He looked like a decent DFS option with Luol Deng iffy with an illness, but Deng played and Winslow was eaten up while trying to handle the likes of Kawhi Leonard and other Spurs on the defensive end. Winslow's minutes have been encouraging, but while he's averaging 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals over his last five games, he's also only bringing 5.4 points to the table every night. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm
  • Evan Turner hands out 10 assists in loss
Evan Turner matched his season high with 10 assists in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks, adding six points, six boards and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: He isn't slowing down and is playing some great ball for Boston. He has averages of 12.8 points, 7.6 boards, 6.8 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.6 steals over his last five games on 45.3 percent shooting from the field, returning top-65 value in standard leagues in that span. He doesn't hit 3-pointers, but it still makes sense to own him in all leagues at the moment. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm
  • Lance Thomas returns to action for Knicks
Lance Thomas returned from a concussion on Tuesday, finishing with 11 minutes and two points off the Knicks bench.

Advice: As long as Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Williams are healthy, Thomas has almost no fantasy appeal. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm
  • K.J. McDaniels recalled from D-League stint
K.J. McDaniels has been recalled from his D-League stint.

Advice: McDaniels is rarely a part of the rotation, and he belongs on the waiver wire in all re-draft leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:16 pm
  • Lance Thomas (concussion) cleared to play
Lance Thomas (concussion) has been cleared to play for Tuesday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: Thomas has spent the past two games on the sidelines, but he'll be back on the court tonight. However, he's not a fantasy option in most leagues while Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Williams are healthy. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:19 pm
  • Kyle Anderson (illness) out Tuesday vs. MIA
Kyle Anderson (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: With Anderson on the sidelines, there will be more minutes available for David West and Boris Diaw. None of these guys can be considered viable targets in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:04 pm
  • James Harden (finger) will play vs. Warriors
James Harden (finger) will play Tuesday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Harden is not on the Rockets' injury report, and was a full participant during shootaround, so there's no reason to believe he'll miss Tuesday's matchup against the defending champs. Go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm
  • Anthony Brown (ankle) doubtful for Wednesday
Anthony Brown sprained his right ankle during Tuesday's practice and is being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Cavs.

Advice: With Kobe Bryant (shoulder) probable to play on Wednesday, Brown wouldn't be a major part of the rotation anyway. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:34 am
  • Thanasis Antetokounmpo returns to D-League
Thanasis Antetokounmpo has elected to return to the D-League.

Advice: Antetokoumpo's 10-day contract with the Knicks expired and Lower Case will now return to the Westchester Knicks since he didn't get a second 10-day contract. While Giannis' brother could eventually provide fantasy value, that time is not now and he can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:33 am
  • Kevin Durant scores 32 points in win vs. PHX
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 32 points during a 122-106 win over the Suns on Monday, adding six rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and five 3-pointers.

Advice: He scored 25 in the second half and is a scoring machine in his last seven, averaging 34.4 points, 9.9 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, 0.9 steals and 3.3 treys on 50.3 percent from the field, 45.1 percent from deep and 92.8 percent from the line. KD is getting close to a 50/40/90 year again at 50.6 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from deep and 89.5 percent from the line. He's created some separation as fantasy's No. 2 player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:19 pm
  • Gerald Henderson scores 16 points
Gerald Henderson scored 16 points with three rebounds, one assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: He played some important minutes as both teams went small. The Blazers are likely going to try and unload Henderson and his expiring contract, especially since guys like Allen Crabbe have stepped. He's only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:38 pm
  • Andrew Wiggins scores 15 points in loss
Andrew Wiggins scored 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting with two assists and two blocks in a loss to the Pelicans on Monday.

Advice: This was his fourth game of the season without a rebound, but he does have at least two blocks in three out of his last four games. Wiggins had two 30-point games last week and is still trending up, so hopefully he can recapture some of that momentum on Wednesday vs. the Raptors. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:27 pm
  • Rockets assign K.J. McDaniels to D-League
Rockets assign G/F K.J. McDaniels to the D-League.

Advice: Like the Rockets, McDaniels' season has failed to launch as anticipated. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:12 am
  • Thanasis Antetokounmpo's 10-day deal expires
Thanasis Antetokounmpo's 10-day contract has expired.

Advice: The Knicks could re-sign him to another 10-day deal, but there has been no indication that New York is interested in that move. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:15 am
  • Lance Thomas (concussion) could return Tues.
Lance Thomas (concussion) could return on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: He might, he might not. Either way, Thomas isn't a fantasy option with Carmelo Anthony (knee), Langston Galloway and Derrick Williams all available. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:54 am
  • Evan Turner dishes nine assists in home win
Evan Turner had another strong game in 27 minutes on Sunday, posting 11 points, nine assists, four rebounds and one block in a win vs. Sacramento.

Advice: The Celtics have now won seven straight games at TD Garden, their longest such streak since 2013, and they'll get one more pre-break home game vs. the Clippers on Wednesday. Turner has been terrific in February, averaging 15.7 points, 9.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks -- his role is stable and he's worth deploying in typical leagues. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:42 pm
  • Lance Thomas (concussion) out Sunday
Lance Thomas (concussion) will not play on Sunday vs. the Nuggets as expected.

Advice: He was never expected to play and still has to pass the league's concussion protocol. His next chance to play will be on Tuesday vs. the Wizards. Langston Galloway will continue to see a few extra minutes in Thomas' absence. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:27 am
  • James Harden (finger) says he is fine
James Harden (finger) believes that he should be all right.

Advice: "My middle finger bent back," Harden said. "It's swollen a little bit, but it should be all right." Harden didn't play down the stretch in Sunday's game vs. the Blazers, but it was likely due to the lopsided score and he said that it would've have been "pointless" for him to keep playing. Harden should be considered day-to-day, but it would be surprising if he didn't play vs. the Warriors on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 7:21 am
  • Damian Lillard praises Gerald Henderson
Damian Lillard attributes Gerald Henderson's recent success to him being healthy.

Advice: "I think he's just healthy," Lillard said. "He was coming off hip surgery, so it took some time for him to get in shape. He missed training camp. He had to get in shape, he had to get his rhythm back, he had to get his feel back, get comfortable with our sets, comfortable being out there with the guys. I think the last couple of weeks, you're starting to see him get comfortable. He's finally back." Henderson is averaging 13.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in February, but his expiring contract could draw some interest at the trade deadline. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:13 am
  • Rodney Hood scores 25 w/ three triples
Rodney Hood had his second dominant performance in a row, scoring 25 points vs. the Suns with three 3-pointers.

Advice: He shot 9-of-19 from the field and added four boards, one assist and one steal in 35 minutes. He has now scored 22 or more points in six out of his last nine performances and has now gone 20 straight games with at least one 3-pointer. He's a beast and could have top-50 value the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:59 pm
  • Gordon Hayward scores 22 points in win
Gordon Hayward scored 22 points in a win over the Suns on Saturday with six boards, three assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Advice: He has been logging heavy playing time over his last four games, averaging 39.5 minutes in that span. The Jazz were missing Trey Burke (illness) tonight and Alec Burks (ankle) is expected to return after the All-Star break, so help is on the way for the Jazz. With Utah right in the middle of the playoff hunt, Hayward's mid-round value is safe for the remainder of the season. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:48 pm
  • Harrison Barnes scored 19 points
Harrison Barnes scored 19 points with four rebounds and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: Harry B is finally coming around. In his last five, he averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 boards, 1.2 assists and 1.8 treys. Barnes still hasn't climbed into the must-start guy, but the efficiency is coming and he is still a low-end hold. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:38 pm
  • Draymond Green scores nine with 14 boards
Draymond Green scored nine points with 14 rebounds and six assists against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: He was the unsung hero -- he always seems like the unsung hero. Green had the perfect microcosm of his style late in the game with a huge offensive board and eventually hitting Stephen Curry for a layup after killing the 24-second clock. He may have only scored nine points, but the Warriors probably would've lost without him. He's a fantasy stud, as well. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:35 pm
  • Danny Green scores 11 points in win
Danny Green scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting with five boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes in a win over the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: His production has been sporadic all season, but nights like these are why it's so difficult for us to let him go. Green is now averaging 9.6 points, 5.0 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.6 blocks, 0.6 steals and 2.4 3-pointers over his last five games which is only good for top-100 value, but he's still a hold in standard leagues as long as you have some patience. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:34 pm
  • Kevin Durant's 40 points are not enough
Kevin Durant scored 40 points with 14 rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes against the Warriors during a 116-108 loss on Saturday.

Advice: The Thunder clawed back from an 18-point deficit to make this a game, but it just wasn't enough. As for KD, it's his third 40-point game on the year and he is tearing it up on offense right now. In his last 10, Durant averaged 32.1 points, 9.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.0 steals and 2.6 treys. He is up to 27.7 points per game and trails James Harden for second by just 0.1 points per game. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:33 pm
  • Chandler Parsons drops 26 points w/ 5 treys
Chandler Parsons was phenomenal in Saturday's 114-110 overtime win over the Grizzlies, scoring 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

Advice: He had a six-point dud vs. the Spurs on Friday, so it was great to see him get back on track. The forward added eight boards, four assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in 41 minutes, helping the Mavericks snap a three-game losing skid in the process. Keep Parsons locked in all lineups. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:10 pm
  • Trevor Ariza finally cools off
Trevor Ariza scored five points with five rebounds, four steals and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: At least the steals were there in Ariza's worst game since the lineup change. Before this dud, he was putting up first-round value as the starting power forward. Keep him active and it's fair to expect him to be a top-40 player going forward. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:04 pm
  • James Harden scores 33, hurts right hand
James Harden suffered an apparent minor right hand injury on Saturday, finishing with 33 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block, four 3-pointers and 10 turnovers.

Advice: He had ice on his hand for most of the fourth quarter because the Rockets were blown out tonight. Harden did play through his hand issue for a few minutes before going to the bench, so chances are this is minor. He also took the ice pack off his hand for the final two minutes. For now, there shouldn't be much concern, but you never know when it comes to a hand injury. We'll pass along any info if he needs an X-ray. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:36 pm
  • Terrence Jones out of hospital
Terrence Jones (concussion) is out of the hospital on Saturday and is unlikely to return to action until after the All-Star break.

Advice: He is still in the concussion protocol and will be checked out by team doctors today. Jones is not going to play on Saturday, which means the Rockets will go small a ton against the Blazers tonight. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:25 pm
  • Rodney Hood is mentally stronger this season
Rodney Hood said that he has been getting better mentally which helped him bounce back on Friday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: "I think it helped just having a short-term memory," Hood said. "I've been getting better mentally, and I remember early in the season letting a situation like this go over from game to game. I'm maturing, so I just wanted to be aggressive, as long as I hit shots or not." Hood was held to eight points on Wednesday vs. the Jazz, but he put that performance behind him and dropped 23 points with three treys on Saturday. Hood is a stud and should be considered a must-start player. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:43 am
  • Bickerstaff praises Corey Brewer
Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Corey Brewer is "disruptive" on the defensive end.

Advice: "He's disruptive," Bickerstaff said. "When he's able to get steals, that's when his offense starts. His offense starts on the defensive end of the court. It's a steal for us. It's a defensive rebound for us and then it's a quick outlet. When we're getting stops, that's when [Brewer] is at his best." Brewer scored 24 points against the Suns on Thursday and is still starting at small forward, but he was struggling prior to that game. Unless he does this again, he's better suited for deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:57 am
  • Chandler Parsons scores 6 pts in blowout loss
Chandler Parsons only managed to score six points on 3-of-9 shooting during Friday's blowout loss to San Antonio, adding one rebound, one assist, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 26 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs trailed by 36 points at the half, which was the largest halftime deficit in franchise history, so it's hard to take away much from this unproductive performance from Parsons. He should be able to bounce-back on Saturday vs. Memphis. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:33 pm
  • Wesley Matthews scores four points in 23 mins
Wesley Matthews couldn't get anything going during Friday's blowout loss to the Spurs, tallying just four points on 2-of-5 shooting with one rebound, two assists, one block and one turnover in 23 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs were blown out badly in this one, and the game was essentially over after the first-quarter. Wesley was noticeably upset after the game saying it was the most "embarrassing game" he's ever been a part of "at any level." Matthews has been struggling over the past month, knocking down just 34.5 percent of his shots, and it might not get any better any time soon with Dallas set to play Memphis on Saturday and Utah on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:23 pm
  • Rodney Hood scores 23 points vs. Bucks
Rodney Hood scored a game-high 23 points during a win over the Bucks on Friday with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: That's a bounce-back from his rare dud on Wednesday. Hood has emerged as one of the best sophomores in the NBA and the Jazz continue to build the offense around him. Expect him to keep flirting with top-50 value even when Alec Burks (leg) comes back. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:29 pm
  • Danny Green scores eight points w/ two treys
Danny Green scored eight points on 3-of-8 shooting Friday, to go with two 3-pointers, four boards, one assist and one turnover in 27 minutes.

Advice: Mr. Green has become elite at following up productive outing with meaningless stat lines, although he has managed to produce fifth-round value in 9-cat leagues over the past two weeks with averages of 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.7 three-pointers on 45.7 percent shooting. He can be truly infuriating to own, but with the upward trend, he's a hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:22 pm
  • Evan Turner double-doubles in 32 minutes
Evan Turner double-doubled in 32 minutes off the bench during Friday's win over the Cavs, tallying 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting with 12 boards, six assists, one block and one turnover.

Advice: Jae Crowder (ankle) said after the game that he felt like he was playing on one leg, so he may be forced to the sidelines on Sunday vs. Sacramento, which would likely result in Turner returning to the starting lineup. While Evan isn't the most exciting guy to own, he's been producing late-round value over the past month behind averages of 9.6 points, 4.5 boards, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steal on 48.5 percent shooting. He's worth owning in most leagues, particularly with Crowder hurting. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:21 pm
  • Lance Thomas (concussion) out until Tuesday
Lance Thomas (mild concussion) will not play until at least Tuesday as he undergoes testing, which means he'll miss games on Friday or Sunday.

Advice: With Carmelo Anthony (knee) also on the sidelines, the Knicks are going small with Langston Galloway in the starting lineup on Friday. Derrick Williams should also play big minutes off the bench, however, and he's worth a long look as a cheap DFS play until Melo and/or Thomas return to action. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:52 pm
  • Terrence Jones (concussion) out for Saturday
Terrence Jones (concussion) will not play against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: He suffered the concussion in the car accident on Wednesday. Jones will have to go through the protocol and could miss games through the break. That means more run for Josh Smith while Trevor Ariza continues to thrive at power forward. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:42 pm
  • James Harden scores just 17 points
James Harden was quiet during a 111-105 win over the Suns on Thursday, scoring 17 points with nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-19 from the field.

Advice: Interestingly, coach J.B. Bickerstaff pulled all of his starters four minutes into the the game because of sloppy play. They obviously turned it around, though. Harden usually lights up the Suns and he is also solid on the road, so this is a shocking letdown. He'll be fine and should be a top-five player going forward in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:30 pm
  • Trevor Ariza goes off again, scores 22
Trevor Ariza went off again with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and three 3-pointers against the Suns on Thursday.

Advice: He was killer as a power forward last year with Kevin McHale, but now he's rolling in that role again with coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Since being shifted to power forward back on Jan. 22, he averaged 17.9 points, 4.3 boards, 2.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.8 treys. That's good for top-10 value in that span and has boosted him to fourth-round value on the year now. If you bought low, you look really smart. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:26 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores game-high 24 points
Corey Brewer scored a game-high 24 points against Suns on Thursday with one assist, four steals and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: The Rockets scored 26 points in fast break, so that kind of output there is right up Brewer's alley. In his previous starts, Brewer only has averages of 9.6 points, 3.4 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 treys on 38.8 percent from the field. If you want to ride him while he's played better, hopefully you're not dropping anything of value. He's not an add in standard leagues yet. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:15 pm
  • Lance Thomas gets six stitches
Lance Thomas returned on Thursday after receiving six stitches for a lip laceration.

Advice: He's fine and he didn't need a concussion test. Thomas scored nine points with one rebound and one assist in 31 minutes. He's lost most of his fantasy value while the team is healthy. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:36 pm
  • Marcus Thornton enjoys playing next to Harden
Marcus Thornton expressed his desire to play more alongside James Harden.

Advice: Thornton played alongside Harden more on Tuesday and responded with 18 points off the bench. "I was talking about that this morning," Thornton said. "I love playing with James. Teams are more focused on him. That gives me wide-open shots. In return, I can play-make for him and get him wide-open shots, too." Thornton may get an opportunity to play more alongside Harden, but his minutes are too inconsistent to warrant a roster spot in standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:56 am
  • Chandler Parsons confused by late benching
Chandler Parsons said his late-game benching during Wednesday's loss to Miami was "definitely strange."

Advice: Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle opted for Raymond Felton over Parsons to close the game and explained the move by saying that Parsons had been struggling for most of the game. "It's definitely strange to me, especially after how I've been playing," Parsons said after the game. "It's definitely different, but every game calls for something different." Parsons has been on fire as of late and should be be in all fantasy lineups as he's due for a rebound against the Spurs on Friday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:25 am
  • Andrew Wiggins scores 31 points vs. Clippers
Andrew Wiggins scored 31 points with four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers during a 108-102 win over the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: He was on fire in the first half with 21 points on 9-of-12 from the field. Wiggins scored 30 points in back-to-back games for the second time this season and now he's doing a better job of getting to the basket -- also playing some more SF minutes recently. His team picked up a big win after suffering a tough loss to the Lakers on Tuesday. Wiggins is doing a little more in fantasy, but he'll have to transform into a multi-cat player to put up must-start value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:13 am
  • Danny Green scores 16 points in 39 minutes
Danny Green scored 16 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in a season-high 39 minutes against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Advice: Green did not hit the 30-minute mark in any game since Jan. 8, so this is a shock. He has more ups and downs than an entire amusement park of roller coasters, but Green is putting up value. In 2016, he has put up sixth-round value in his last 15 games, so it's hard to complain too much. Keep him owned in all leagues and remember not to complain to your friends too much about the bad Green nights. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:01 pm
  • Rodney Hood struggles on 3-of-12 shooting
Rodney Hood hit just 3-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points and a block on Wednesday.

Advice: He was piping hot coming in, with his last single-digit scoring game coming on Jan. 6, while he had scored between 16 and 29 points in each of his last six games. He'll bounce back soon, but never got it going against the strong defense of Gary Harris tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:48 pm
  • Not Nice: Durant hits game winner, scores 37
Kevin Durant hit 27-foot game-winner during a 117-114 victory over the Magic on Wednesday, finishing with 37 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, three blocks and six 3-pointers.

Advice: KD is not nice. He gave Tobias Harris a dirty crossover to get free for the shot with 0.5 seconds left (video in link below). Durant is rolling in his last five, averaging 33.8 points, 9.8 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 3.0 treys on 50.5 percent from the field and 90.2 percent from the line. Yes, teams have interest in signing him this offseason. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:11 pm
  • Justise Winslow plays 30 minutes in win
Justise Winslow played 30 minutes off the Heat bench and had four points, six rebounds, a steal and a block on 2-of-6 shooting.

Advice: With the Heat nearly at full strength, it was encouraging to see Winslow get so many minutes. He didn't exactly kill it with them, but he's still worth a look in most leagues as long as he's getting 30 minutes a night. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:58 pm
  • Klay Thompson scores 24 points in win
Klay Thompson scored 24 points with four rebounds, one steal and six 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday.

Advice: It's not often a guy drops six treys in a game and one of his teammates had five more than he did. Thompson certainly has the scoring side down in his last four with an absurd 76.1 true shooting percentage and a 31.9 usage rate. That led to averages of 33.8 points, 3.0 boards, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks and 5.5 treys on 60.2 percent from the field. Klay is being overshadowed big time. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:10 pm
  • Draymond Green posts 10th trip-dub of year
Draymond Green logged his 10th triple-double of the season during a win over the Wizards on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and five blocks.

Advice: That's back-to-back triple-doubles for Green and he managed to keep his lead over Russell Westbrook, who dropped his eighth triple-double on the season tonight. Green's blocks had also dropped in each full month this year, so he got a nice start there in February. He's one of a kind. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:04 pm
  • Terrence Jones involved in car accident
Terrence Jones was involved a car accident on Wednesday and has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: The Rockets are saying that Jones is not injured, but they want to hold him out for one game which is likely just a precaution. Jones has fallen out of favor in Houston, so his absence won't have a significant impact on the Rockets' rotations. Josh Smith will pick up a few extra minutes on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:52 pm
  • Durant and Westbrook to LA highly unlikely
The idea of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook signing with the Lakers as free agents is "almost laughable," according to sources of Basketball Insiders.

Advice: The initial KD and Westbrook to Los Angeles story was spawned by ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who tends to favor sensationalism over journalism, and the reality is that if the pair would like to remain together they'd make more money by staying in OKC. Additionally, it wouldn't make sense for Durant to leave the Thunder in order to pursue a championship and then wind up going through a rebuild with the Lakers. For now, Los Angeles seems like a very unlikely destination for the Durantuala. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:05 am
  • Wiggins breaks out of slump, drops 30 points
Andrew Wiggins snapped out of his slump on Tuesday vs. the Lakers, scoring 30 points on 13-of-20 shooting.

Advice: In his two previous games, Wiggins was averaging 10.0 points on 5-of-29 shooting (17.2 percent). Coach Sam Mitchell did say last week that Wiggins was a little fatigued, but he looked great tonight against one of his idols (Kobe Bryant) and his owners should be encouraged. The rising star added five boards, one assist, two blocks, one steal and one 3-pointer to give himself a full line. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:13 pm
  • Gerald Henderson scores 14 w/ nine boards
Gerald Henderson scored 14 points with nine rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes on Tuesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has scored in double digits in four out of his last five games, but his recent spike in playing time could be because the Blazers are trying to boost his value prior to the trade deadline. Regardless, Henderson doesn't have much upside and his role with minutes in the lower 20s is not appealing, so he can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:59 pm
  • Marcus Thornton scores 18 off HOU bench
Marcus Thornton got hot and hit 7-of-11 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in Tuesday's win.

Advice: Thornton didn't even play on Saturday and scored two points in each of his previous two games, so if you had him in a DFS lineup tonight, pat yourself on the back. He goes on hot streaks occasionally, but has been far too inconsistent to plug into a standard lineup. And he was also up for some extra run tonight with Dwight Howard suspended and Clint Capela out with a thigh injury. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:30 pm
  • Terrence Jones has 11 & 7 in 29 minutes
Terrence Jones played 29 minutes and hit 4-of-9 shots for 11 points, seven rebounds and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Knicks.

Advice: He still came off the bench, but saw a big boost in minutes with Clint Capela (thigh) and Dwight Howard (suspended) in street clothes. Jones played a grand total of 20 minutes with six points and two rebounds in his previous two games, so look for him to take a big step back with Capela and Howard close to returning. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:27 pm
  • James Harden hands out season-high 14 dimes
James Harden hit 10-of-19 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 26 points, four rebounds, a season-high 14 assists, two steals and a block in Tuesday's win over the Heat.

Advice: It wasn't a 40-point bomb like he dropped on Saturday, but it was pretty darn good. And don't look now, but he's hit at least half his shots in four of his last five games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:24 pm
  • Trevor Ariza scores 9, but fills stat sheet
Trevor Ariza hit just 4-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer, but finished Tuesday's game with nine points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Advice: He wasn't great tonight, but did a little bit of everything, salvaging a decent line. He was red hot a week ago, but has scored nine or fewer points in three of his last four games. He should go on another hot streak at some point, but it's anyone's guess as to when it happens. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:19 pm
  • Justise Winslow plays 32 minutes in loss
Justise Winslow played 32 minutes and hit 4-of-5 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals on Tuesday.

Advice: Winslow is averaging 34 minutes, 9.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals over his last five games and as long as those kinds of minutes are there, he's a low-end option in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:12 pm
  • Evan Turner double-doubles in win
Evan Turner played 29 minutes off the bench and hit 6-of-13 shots for 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Advice: Marcus Smart really struggled tonight and Turner took advantage. He's averaging 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals, but is not a 3-point shooter. Given how well he's playing, he should be owned in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:57 pm
  • Jones will play center if Capela out Tuesday
J.B. Bickerstaff said that if Clint Capela (thigh) can't play Tuesday vs. the Heat, Terrence Jones and Josh Smith will split minutes at the center spot with Dwight Howard (suspension) also unavailable.

Advice: Jones logged a season-low six minutes in his previous outing, but he'll likely return to a 20-minute role with the Rockets if Capela can't give it a go tonight. Josh Smith would likely see his playing time in the high-20s, but neither guy makes for all that attractive of a DFS option with a tough matchup against Miami. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:43 pm
  • Harrison Barnes says he's getting rhythm back
Harrison Barnes said that he feels he's playing his way back into game shape and is starting to find his rhythm again after spending all of December on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Advice: "I’m feeling good," Barnes said. "I’m just getting back to playing into game shape and getting my rhythm back. I feel like I’m getting to the point where I can go out there and contribute and not have any pain… I’m still looking to get my explosion back and not have any pain." Barnes hasn't exactly hit the ground running since returning from the injury, as he shot just 42.4 percent from the field through the month of January. However, he has mid-round upside, so Barnes warrants a hold in standard formats. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:42 pm
  • Durant practices in full without knee brace
Kevin Durant went through a full practice on Tuesday without wearing any brace or sleeve on his right knee.

Advice: Durant wore a right knee brace during Monday's game, but he produced a standard stat stuffing line, and after going through a full practice on Tuesday there's nothing to be concerned about here. Move along. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:37 pm
  • Report: Dubs in the running for Kevin Durant?
The Warriors have emerged as "significant frontrunners" to sign Kevin Durant as an unrestricted free agent if he decides to leave the Thunder this offseason, according to sources of Adrian Wojnarowski

Advice: In order for the Dubs to create the cap space for this move, they would need to trade away Andre Iguodala, stretch Andrew Bogut and Jason Thompson, and withdraw Harrison Barnes' qualifying offer. Durant is also by no means a lock to leave OKC this offseason, and another idea that has been floated around is him signing a two-year deal with the Thunder with a player option on the second-year, so that he would hit free agency with Russell Westbrook. This is obviously going to be a huge story this offseason, but for now, Durant is fantasy basketball's No. 2 overall option. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:51 am
  • OKC mum on reason for Kevin Durant's brace
Kevin Durant wore a brace on his right knee during Monday's win over the Wizards, but the Thunder didn't elaborate on the reason.

Advice: Head coach Billy Donovan said reporters would have to ask Durant about the brace/sleeve that he wore on his right knee, but Durant left the locker room without talking to reporters. While he was seen icing the knee on the bench, KD didn't look any worse for the wear on the court en route to scoring 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting. We'll keep an eye out for updates, but it doesn't sound like this is anything fantasy owners should worry about just yet. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:37 am
  • G Time Flies: Gordon Hayward scores 27 points
Gordon Hayward scored 27 points against the Bulls during a 105-96 overtime win on Monday with 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 44 minutes.

Advice: He hit a clutch shot at the rim to tie it in regulation with four seconds left and forced a turnover on the Bulls' next possession. G Time also had one of the prettiest backdoor cuts leading to a jam of the season during OT (in link below). He's playing off the ball more, but its led to fourth-round value in January. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:50 pm
  • Rodney Hood fouls out, scores 19
Rodney Hood scored 19 points with five rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers before fouling out against the Bulls on Monday.

Advice: Hood has a knack for getting two quick fouls, but this was his first time fouling out in his career on six personals. On the positive side, he's quickly becoming one of the best wings in pick-and-roll and that's become the Jazz's new pet play. Hood has top-40 value in 2016 and should flirt with top-50 value going forward. It's all good with the Hood. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:38 pm
  • Chandler Parsons grabs 11 boards
Chandler Parsons grabbed a season-high 11 boards against the Hawks on Monday, adding 19 points, two assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: He has been marvelous and the rebounds are on the upswing, averaging 7.8 per game in his last five. Parsons added averages of 18.6 points, 2.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.4 treys. He's dominating for his owners. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:17 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 28 points in win
Kevin Durant scored 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting in Monday's win over the Wizards, adding nine boards, four assists and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: He was wearing a brace on his right knee tonight, but there is no report of an injury. For now, his owners shouldn't be concerned. KD looked great out there despite turning the ball over a game-high seven times, and he gets a pass for that since he has been the second best player in fantasy this season. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:43 pm
  • Rockets recall K.J. McDaniels from D-League
Rockets recall G/F K.J. McDaniels from the D-League.

Advice: Although he's an exciting athlete, McDaniels isn't going to be in Houston's rotation unless there is an injury on the wing. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:14 am
  • Popovich unafraid to give Kyle Anderson time
Gregg Popovich is unafraid to give Kyle Anderson regular minutes in the rotation.

Advice: "We’re giving [Simmons] and Kyle minutes to try and prepare them to become real pros and real contributors in the league," Popovich said. Despite a regular role of 15-20 minutes over his last six games, Slo-Mo is not a fantasy option in any format. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:54 am
  • Jonathon Simmons earning minutes from Pop
Gregg Popovich has no hesitation about throwing Jonathon Simmons into a "trial by fire" situation.

Advice: "We’re giving [Simmons] and Kyle [Anderson] minutes to try and prepare them to become real pros and real contributors in the league," Popovich said. Despite a consistent role in the rotation over his last six games, Simmons isn't anywhere close to emerging onto the fantasy radar in standard formats. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:50 am
  • Andrew Wiggins shoots 3-of-18 vs. Blazers
Andrew Wiggins shot 3-of-18 from the field on Sunday, but he made 9-of-12 from the line to finish the Wolves' road loss with 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three turnovers.

Advice: Al-Farouq Aminu was his primary defender and Wiggins isn't the first player to struggle vs. AFA this season -- the Blazers are limiting opposing SFs to just 18.0 points over their past five games. Wiggins' usage rate of 27.8 is easily a team-high, and one off-night offensively won't dissuade him from firing away vs. the lowly Lakers on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 8:56 pm
  • Harrison Barnes struggles vs. the Knicks
Harrison Barnes was quiet against the Knicks on Sunday, scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting with three boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Advice: Klay Thompson and Draymond Green ran the show for the Warriors, and even Stephen Curry was quiet in this one. Barnes hit a game-winning 3-pointer vs. the 76ers on Saturday, but his averages of 8.2 points, 4.6 boards, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five games are underwhelming. He is shooting just 36.4 percent in that span, so he's simply in a slump. He has enough upside to warrant a hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:24 pm
  • Wes Matthews' slump continues w/ 2-of-12 FGs
Wes Matthews' slump continued on Sunday, as he shot just 2-of-12 from the field to finish with seven points, four boards, one assist and one steal in 34 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs started a favorable stretch of their schedule with an easy win vs. the Suns, pushing them to within one game of the No. 5 seed Grizzlies. Matthews couldn't join the party offensively, going 1-of-8 from downtown, and he's now averaging just 6.8 points on 10-of-36 shooting in the Mavs' past four games. The perimeter gunner will look to get on track vs. the struggling Hawks on Monday. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:17 pm
  • Chandler Parsons cools off, hits 5-of-14 FGs
Chandler Parsons chipped in 15 points to help the Mavericks beat Phoenix on Sunday, hitting 5-of-14 shots with two rebounds, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Parsons has been particularly excellent when Dirk Nowitzki is resting, but he cooled off tonight and wound up deferring to his teammates. He should continue to earn minutes at PF even when Nowitzki is in the lineup, however, and is locked in for top-50 value rest-of-season. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:15 pm
  • Klay Thompson drops 34 points in win vs. NYK
Klay Thompson dropped a game-high 34 points in Sunday's 116-95 win over the Knicks, adding two assists, one board, one steal and five 3-pointers.

Advice: Is there a hotter player in the NBA right now? Thompson has been unconscious over his last three games, averaging 37.0 points, 2.7 boards, 2.0 assists and 5.3 pointers on 65.6 percent shooting from the field. Needless to say, he has been the best player in standard leagues in that span. This pace is not sustainable, but he should be a top-20 player the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:13 pm
  • Andre Iguodala plays 23 minutes in win
Andre Iguodala (rest) returned from a one-game absence on Sunday vs. the Knicks and finished with eight points, four assists, four boards and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: He hit his only two shot attempts from the field and had a couple of turnovers, but the Warriors didn't really need him tonight because they took care of business early on. Iguodala was averaging 6.6 points, 4.0 boards, 3.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 3-pointers during the month of January prior to Sunday, so he's not a must-own player in standard leagues while the Warriors are healthy. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 6:58 pm
  • Draymond Green records 9th triple-double
Draymond Green recorded his ninth triple-double of the season with 20 points, 10 assists and 10 boards in Sunday's win over the Knicks.

Advice: He was a perfect 9-of-9 from the field and added two steals, two blocks, two 3-pointers and four turnovers in 37 minutes. Green blamed his "selfish unselfishness" after chasing stats in his previous game vs. the 76ers in which he turned the ball over a career-high seven times, but he didn't force a lot of passes tonight. For what it's worth, the last Warrior to go a perfect 9-of-9 from the field on at least nine attempts was Chris Mullin in 1990. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 6:55 pm
  • Harden drops 40, Rockets lose third straight
James Harden dropped 40 points in Saturday's 123-122 loss to the Wizards, adding 11 assists, seven boards, four steals and six 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Wizards had no answer for him on the defensive end and he even fouled Garrett Temple out of the game. The Rockets have lost three straight games, but Harden has been playing some incredible ball with averages of 30.2 points, 8.6 boards, 7.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.0 treys over his last five games. Rotoworld.com Jan 30, 9:19 pm
  • Terrence Jones plays six minutes in loss
Terrence Jones played a season-low six minutes in Saturday's loss to the Grizzlies, scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting.

Advice: Prior to Saturday's game, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that the Josh Smith trade has hurt Jones' playing time and he took the blame for the forward's recent struggles. Regardless, Jones is clearly out of the rotation in Houston, so only a trade can save his season at this point. If you're still stashing him, feel free to let him go if he is not dealt by the Feb. 18 trade deadline. Rotoworld.com Jan 30, 9:15 pm
