      Advice: Booker finished just two assists away from recording a double-double in Game 3, and the star guard will need to be at his best Sunday if the Suns want to avoid getting swept in the first round.     • Devin Booker scores team-high 28 points in loss
      Devin Booker led the Suns with 28 points (10-of-19 FGs), four rebounds, four assists and six triples in a 126-109 loss to Minnesota in Game 3 on Friday.

      Advice: Phoenix’s big three combined to score 76 points on 26-of-52 shooting from the floor. None of them had a spectacular performance, but their total output was solid and efficient. However, it still wasn’t enough. Booker led the way, though he did pad his stats at the end with a few garbage-time buckets. If they want to keep their season alive in Game 4 on Sunday, they’re going to need a big performance from either Booker of KD.     • Carries Denver to Game 3 win
      Gordon posted 29 points (12-18 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 41 minutes during Thursday's 112-105 win over the Lakers in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Nikola Jokic finished just one assist away from a triple-double, and Jamal Murray had another impressive showing, but the Nuggets came through in Game 3 thanks to the energy and tenacity of Gordon, who stepped his game up when Denver needed him the most, especially in the third quarter. The 29-point output was Gordon's second-best scoring mark of the entire campaign, and he's averaging a solid 18.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game through the first three games of the series against the Lakers.       Allen ended with 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds and one block over 24 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 loss to the Magic in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Allen was one of two Cavaliers who reached the 15-point plateau in this blowout loss, and although this ended up being one of Cleveland's worst performances of the campaign, Allen found a way to deliver a decent stat line.       Aaron Gordon shot 12-of-18 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Thursday’s 112-105 win over the Lakers, accounting for 29 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 41 minutes.

      Advice: Gordon was outstanding in Game 3, leading Denver to its 11th straight win over the Lakers (regular season and playoffs). He established playoff career-highs in points and rebounds, and five of his 15 boards were of the offensive variety. All three of Denver’s frontcourt starters scored at least 20 points, with Michael Porter Jr. adding 20 along with 10 rebounds, three assists, and two 3-pointers.     • Jarrett Allen finishes with 15 PTS, eight boards
      Jarrett Allen shot 5-of-6 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Thursday’s 121-83 loss to Orlando, accounting for 15 points, eight rebounds, and one blocked shot in 24 minutes.

      Advice: Allen was dominant in the series’ first two games, grabbing 38 rebounds in two Cavaliers victories. In response, Orlando changed its starting lineup, replacing Jonathan Isaac with Wendell Carter Jr., and that appeared to help keep Allen off the boards. Of course, the nature of Game 3 limited the minutes of all ten starters, so DFS players should not read too much into Allen’s stat line. Evan Mobley was also held in check, as he finished with 10 points, two rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 22 minutes. Cleveland will take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Saturday.     • Stephen Curry wins Clutch Player of the Year award
      Stephen Curry won the Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year award on Thursday.

      Advice: Curry beat out DeMar DeRozan and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, receiving 45 first-place votes to DeRozan’s 34. Those two were separated by 26 total points, with SGA coming in third with 160 points (11 first-place votes). Curry led the NBA in crunch time points (189), made field goals (59), and made 3-pointers (32). “Crunch time” is defined as the final five minutes of a game within five points.       Zion Williamson (left hamstring) could return if New Orleans makes it out of the first round, per Shams Charania.

      Advice: If Williamson plays during this postseason, it will require the Pelicans to make it out of the first round. They’re currently down 0-2 to the top-seeded Thunder and lost by 32 points on Wednesday.       Devin Booker logged 42 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-93 loss to the Timberwolves, accumulating 20 points (6-of-13 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.

      Advice: Booker fouled out of Game 2, but the outcome was no longer in doubt at that point. He did lead the Suns in scoring, but, as was the case in the series opener on Saturday, efficiency was a problem. Booker committing six turnovers was more concerning than the field-goal percentage, with the Suns recording 19 as a team. Bradley Beal wasn’t much better, as he was responsible for four to go along with 14 points (6-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes.
