    • Considered questionable for Game 1
Leonard (knee) is questionable for Sunday's Game 1 against the Mavericks, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: The Clippers announced Thursday that Leonard received an injection in his left knee, and there's "cautious optimism" that he'll be ready for Sunday's matchup, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. While Leonard returned to practice Monday, he hasn't yet been cleared for 5-on-5 drills. Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank said Thursday that he isn't sure whether Leonard will need to participate in full-contact work before he's cleared to return to game action but said that the inflammation needs to continue to reduce. Lawrence said that he's hopeful the issue is trending in the right direction and that Leonard will play but also indicated that the 32-year-old's status remains up in the air. • Shams: Kawhi Leonard received knee injection
Kawhi Leonard received an injection in his right knee, but there is “cautious optimism” that he will be able to suit up for Game 1 on Sunday against Dallas.

Advice: Kawhi was sidelined for the final eight games of the regular season, but the team is expecting him to available for Game 1. However, they won’t officially say one way or another until closer to Sunday. P.J. Tucker has been starting in his place, and he will return to playing a bench role if Leonard is back. • Receives injection in knee
Leonard (knee) recently received an injection to aid in his recovery, and there is "cautious optimism" that he'll be ready for Sunday's Game 1 against Dallas, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Thursday.

Advice: Leonard was unavailable for the Clippers' final eight games of the regular season due to right knee inflammation. He returned to practice Monday but hasn't yet been cleared for 5-on-5 drills. The Clippers will likely wait to see how his knee responds to his recent treatment before determining his status for the start of postseason play Sunday, but even if he isn't cleared for Game 1, it wouldn't be surprising to see him return sometime during the Clippers' first-round series. • Flirts with double-double in win
DeRozan ended with 22 points (10-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal over 44 minutes during Wednesday's 131-116 Play-In Game victory over the Hawks.

Advice: DeRozan put together another successful year during his third season with the Bulls. Perhaps the biggest feather in DeRozan's cap is his attendance record, as he's played at least 74 games per season over three years in Chicago. The veteran will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, and the Bulls will likely make a competitive offer unless another team presents an irresistible package. For the time being, DeRozan's focus will be on advancing with a win against Miami. Rotowire.com Today, 3:46 am
    • DeMar DeRozan pours in 22/6/9/1/1 line vs. Atlanta
DeMar DeRozan posted a full line on Wednesday with 22 points (10-of-19 FGs), six rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block and one triple against the Hawks.

Advice: DeRozan wasn’t the star of the show, but he was able to have an effective night statistically across the board. The Hawks really didn’t have any answers for Chicago’s offense, and DeRozan was no exception. He logged 44 minutes in this game, and he will likely take on a large role once again when they head to Miami to play on Friday. Alex Caruso suffered a foot sprain in this game, and he isn’t expected to play against the Heat, which just means that DeRozan will have to step up even more if they want to make it to the playoffs. • Not cleared for 5-on-5
Coach Tyronn Lue said Wednesday that Leonard (knee) is progressing but hasn't been cleared for 5-on-5 drills yet, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Advice: Leonard missed the final eight regular-season games due to right knee inflammation but returned to practice Monday, albeit in a limited fashion. His official status for Sunday's Game 1 against the Mavericks won't be known until Saturday afternoon, but Lue said he's preparing as if Leonard will be available to start the postseason. • Chris Paul logs 18 minutes in loss to Sacramento
Chris Paul accounted for three points (1-of-3 FGs), one rebound, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes in Tuesday’s 118-94 loss to the Kings.

Advice: Paul’s first season with the Warriors ended poorly, as the veteran point guard did not offer much value when on the court. That wasn’t the case during the regular season, as CP3 (Yahoo ADP: 72.7) was a top 100 player in 9-cat formats. However, Paul only appeared in 58 games, averaging a career-low 9.2 points and 6.8 assists (second-lowest average of his career). The 2024-25 season is a contract year for the 38-year-old Paul, who turns 39 in May. It’s difficult to envision his role being enhanced, so look for the ADP to be considerably lower than it was ahead of this season. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:52 pm
    • Heads back to bench
Paul isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Kings, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.

Advice: Stephen Curry will replace Paul in the starting five Tuesday after missing Golden State's previous contest with an ankle injury. Paul is averaging 8.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 23.3 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:38 pm
    • Recovered from injury
Coach Tyronn Lue said Tuesday that Harden (foot) is "good to go", Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Advice: Harden missed the Clippers' regular-season finale with a right foot inflammation but should be available for Sunday's Game 1 against the Mavericks. The star guard will likely reclaim his starting spot from Xavier Moon. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:36 pm
