      Advice: The Pacers played a terrific game for the majority of the night but made some crucial mistakes in the final minute to allow Boston to sneak away with the win in overtime. The Pacers will be looking to bounce back in Boston for Game 2 Thursday.       Advice: After hitting six 3-pointers in Indiana’s Game 7 win over the Knicks, Haliburton hit six more in the Eastern Conference Finals opener. However, turnovers and a minus-15 margin at the foul line proved costly for the Pacers. Haliburton was only responsible for three of the team’s 21 turnovers, but many of the team’s miscues were unforced. While Indiana can take solace in having a chance to win Game 1 against a well-rested opponent, the truth is that they let this one get away.       Advice: Haliburton once again led the way for Indiana offensively in a winner-take-all victory, leading all Pacers in scoring and threes made while handing out a half-dozen assists to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.       Tyrese Haliburton shot 10-of-17 from the field and 0-of-1 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 win over New York, scoring 26 points with four rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, and six 3-pointers.

      Advice: Haliburton and the Pacers were outstanding in Game 7, with the road team coming out victorious for the first time this series. Indiana shot an NBA playoff-record 67.1% from the field and became the fifth team in NBA playoff history to score at least 130 points in a Game 7. Remove Games 1 and 5, and Haliburton was excellent, properly balancing setting up his teammates and seeking quality looks for himself.       Chet Holmgren finished Saturday’s Game 6 loss to the Mavericks with 21 points (9-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

      Advice: Despite scoring 21 points, Holmgren’s final game of the season wasn’t his best. More concerning than the 1-of-7 night from three was the rebounding, with the rookie only grabbing three. By comparison, Mavericks rookie Dereck Lively II grabbed 15 by himself. Holmgren’s struggles to rebound prompted Thunder coach Mark Daigneault to go with a bigger lineup down the stretch, with Jaylin Williams (6/2/2/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 18 minutes) joining the rookie in the frontcourt. Overall, Holmgren had an excellent rookie campaign, finishing second to Victor Wembanyama in Rookie of the Year voting and providing top-20 per-game value in 9-cat formats. Based on his Yahoo ADP, Chet was expected by many to be a 4th-round player. Those days are over; he should not get out of the third round in standard league drafts, and that’s being conservative.       Tyrese Haliburton logged 32 minutes in Friday’s 116-103 win over the Knicks, accumulating 15 points (6-of-12 FGs), six rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and three 3-pointers.

      Advice: Haliburton and the Pacers rebounded nicely from their 30-point loss in Game 5, pulling away from the Knicks during the second quarter and extending the series to a decisive seventh game. The All-Star point guard only attempted 12 shots in Game 6, but this was a night when it made more sense to attack whoever was defending Pascal Siakam. Haliburton was productive in the assist and blocked shot categories and shot 50% from the field.       Advice: Horford dominated the boards in a series-clinching win Wednesday, leading all players in the contest in rebounds to go along with a handful of assists, a team-high trio of blocks and ending as one of two Celtics with 20 or more points in a double-double performance.       Advice: While Cleveland may have attempted to target Horford in the two-man game this series, the 37-year-old pivot made them pay in Game 5. He became the oldest player in NBA history to tally at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five 3-pointers in a playoff game, passing LeBron James. Horford has been influential this season, especially with Kristaps Porzingis (calf) sidelined. That will remain the case in the conference finals, whether the Celtics draw New York or Indiana.
