  • Anthony Davis finishes with 17/15/4 line in loss
    Anthony Davis recorded a double-double on Monday with 17 points (8-of-11 FGs), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks against Denver in Game 5.

    Advice: After a strong first half, AD exited the game briefly due to a left shoulder injury. While he was able to play through it, he really wasn’t the same player after that. 16 of his 17 points came before halftime, and if he stayed healthy, the result of this game may have been different. AD has been banged up all season, but he was still able to play a career-high 77 games. Davis has been knocked in fantasy hoops over the last few years by his lack of games played, but he may have flipped the script this season.   • Battles through shoulder injury
    Davis suffered a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets but was able to return after visiting the locker room. He recorded 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 40 minutes in the loss.

    Advice: Davis suffered the injury early in the third quarter on a play during which he took contact to his left shoulder, and though he was able to remain in the contest immediately afterward, he was barely able to use his left arm. The 31-year-old exited the game with four minutes left in the third quarter and went to the locker room, later returning for the final period. The injury seemed to impact Davis on the offensive end of the court, forcing LeBron James and Austin Reaves to shoulder heavy workloads down the stretch.   • Michael Porter Jr. turns in 26/4/1/2 line Monday
    Michael Porter Jr. lit up the Lakers with 26 points (8-of-12 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, two steals and five triples on Monday.

    Advice: MPJ had a spectacular series, which included him scoring at least 20 points in the final four games after scoring 19 in Game 1. However, what shouldn’t go unnoticed is that he logged 46 minutes in this game to help close out the series. He’s just two years removed from only playing nine games, and he has now played 86 games this season with only one absence. Porter Jr. has been fantastic, and they’ll need him to stay hot in their second round matchup with the Timberwolves if they hope to repeat as champions. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:41 pm
     
  • Flirts with double-double
    Holmgren notched 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and five assists across 35 minutes during Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

    Advice: Holmgren couldn't get his shot working from downtown, but he was able to bounce back from a sluggish six-point showing in Game 3. The Gonzaga product averaged 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 blocks during a four-game sweep of New Orleans. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
     
  • Delivers 11 fourth-quarter points
    Williams ended Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 38 minutes.

    Advice: Williams made his mark in the fourth quarter of Monday's series-clinching win, scoring six of his 11 fourth-quarter points from downtown while adding two boards and one steal in 12 minutes of action. He scored 20-plus points in the final three matchups of the opening round and will continue to be a key piece of the puzzle for a young Thunder team moving deeper into the postseason.   • Naji Marshall chips in 16 points off bench
    Naji Marshall provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (5-of-9 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one block and four triples against Oklahoma City on Monday.

    Advice: It didn’t end up meaning much, but Marshall had a solid series and ended it with an excellent offensive game off the bench. This was a new playoff career-high for points for him, and he is now set to enter unrestricted free agency. He has been a solid role player for New Orleans, and he may end up fetching a decent-sized contract for a new team this summer.   • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
    Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

    Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:49 pm
     
  • Josh Giddey knocks down four more triples vs. NOR
    Josh Giddey lit up the Pelicans with 14 points (5-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one block and four triples on Monday.

    Advice: Giddey’s shot has been a weakness for the team’s offense all year, but he has improved drastically over the course of the season. He may have peaked during Games 3 and 4, as he knocked down four 3-pointers in each to help the Thunder complete the sweep and advance to the second round. His season-high of five 3-pointers also came in New Orleans, so he seems to really enjoy shooting on these rims.   • Jalen Williams puts up 24/8/4/2/1, Thunder advance
    Jalen Williams posted a full line on Monday with 24 points (9-of-17 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two triples in a 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4.

    Advice: OKC has their superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but JDub is a star in the making that has shined on the national stage. He closed out this series by scoring eight straight points with less than five minutes left to give the Thunder a double-digit lead late in the fourth. Williams didn’t make the impact that Lu Dort did, but he did make contribute a ton on the defensive end in this series, as they held the Pelicans to 89.5 points per game. They’ll take on the winner of the Mavericks-Clippers series in round two, with a chance to make the Western Conference Finals on the line. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:30 pm
