    • Kerr: Kuminga needs to become ‘more versatile’
During his season-ending press conference, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Jonathan Kuminga needs to become more versatile this offseason.

Advice: While the 2023-24 season was the best of Kuminga’s NBA career, his skill set limited where he could play within the Warriors’ rotation. According to Cleaning the Glass, 96% of his minutes were played at the power forward position, meaning he could not share the floor with Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis. That trio can be Golden State’s best defensive frontcourt, but only if Kuminga expands his offensive repertoire. “I think he sees the floor pretty well, but his fundamentals in terms of passing have to improve if he’s going to play the three,” Kerr said. “We need him to play the three if we want to have Trayce out there at the five and Draymond at the four. That ideally would be a great defensive lineup. But we’re not ready for that yet as a team.” Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 pm
    • Clint Capela puts up 22/17 double-double vs. Bulls
Clint Capela recorded a double-double on Wednesday with 22 points (11-of-15 FGs), 17 rebounds and four assists against the Bulls.

Advice: Capela nearly had a double-double before halftime, and he was able to reach 10 rebounds early in the third quarter. He scored 16 points before the break, but he didn’t get many buckets after that. This was a down year for Capela, as he had his worst field goal percentage since his rookie season, which is a big part of his value in 9-cat leagues. He’ll be on the wrong side of 30 to start next season, and it is hard to imagine him bouncing back. He should continue to be a reliable source of big man stats, but he isn’t as dominant in fantasy as he once was. The emergence of Onyeka Okongwu will only continue to hinder that. • Set to play against Chicago
Capela (rest) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the Bulls.

Advice: Capela will return to action Wednesday after sitting out Atlanta's regular-season finale for rest purposes. The 29-year-old big man should reclaim his starting spot from Bruno Fernando. Capela has averaged 12.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 28.6 minutes across his past 10 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:40 pm
    • Jonathan Kuminga tallies 16 points, seven boards
Jonathan Kuminga logged 28 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to Sacramento, producing 16 points (6-of-15 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot.

Advice: While some of their starters struggled in Tuesday’s defeat, the Warriors received good minutes from Kuminga and Moses Moody. Both scored 16 points off the bench, with the former capping a decent third season. However, even with the improved production, Kuminga finished the regular season just outside the top 150 in 8- and 9-cat formats. As for Moody, his 16 points were supplemented by three rebounds, one assist, and two 3-pointers in 15 minutes. He finished the season ranked outside the top 250 in 8- and 9-cat formats. Both wings are eligible for rookie-scale extensions this summer, with Kuminga appearing to have a better chance of receiving that kind of commitment from the Warriors. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:39 pm
    • Goes to bench
Kuminga will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Kings, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.

Advice: Draymond Green is good to go after missing the season finale, so this is an expected move for Kuminga. Despite this move to the second unit, Kuminga figures to see a healthy amount of minutes going forward. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:37 pm
    • Drops 17 points in finale
Banton racked up 17 points (6-26 FG, 0-15 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 39 minutes before getting ejected from Sunday's 121-82 loss to the Kings.

Advice: Banton came back to earth in the final game of the season, but there's no denying his prolific stat lines in the closing weeks. Portland has a $2.2M team option for next season, and Banton's standout play may compel the organization to pick it up. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:41 am
    • Scoreless in regular-season finale
Kuminga contributed zero points (0-4 FG), seven assists, one block and two steals over 23 minutes during Sunday's 123-116 win over the Jazz.

Advice: Kuminga didn't look good in the final game of the regular season, though one bad outing is not going to undermine all the progress he achieved throughout the campaign. Kuminga started the year as a bench alternative but was Golden State's best player on prolonged stretches, hitting the 20-point mark in 23 different appearances and posting career-high per-game figures across most popular categories outside of blocks and three-point percentage. • Karl-Anthony Towns plays 29 minutes vs. Suns
Karl-Anthony Towns (left meniscus surgery) finished Sunday’s 125-106 loss to Phoenix with 10 points (3-of-8 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: After playing 28 minutes in his first game back from knee surgery on Friday, Towns logged 29 on Sunday. Rust may still be an issue, as in addition to shooting 3-of-8 from the field, KAT was responsible for five turnovers. Phoenix won all three meetings with the Timberwolves, but Towns missed the second, and the postseason is an entirely different animal. Naz Reid again came off the bench, finishing Sunday’s defeat with 10 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:40 pm
    • Dalano Banton shoots 6-of-26 before ejection
Dalano Banton struggled with his shot on Sunday and finished with 17 points (6-of-26 FGs), three rebounds, seven assists, three steals and five turnovers in a 121-82 loss to Sacramento.

Advice: Banton moved into the starting unit in place of Scoot Henderson, who sat out the finale. Banton has played really well over the past two months, but he couldn’t get anything going in this game. He missed all 15 of his shots from beyond the arc before he was ejected after picking up a Flagrant 2. It has been an excellent stretch for Banton, and this certainly isn’t the way that he wanted to end the season. Portland can still exercise his option and retain him for about $2 million next season, so he wasn’t fighting for a pay day. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:23 pm
