    • Marco Belinelli (groin) will not play Sunday
Marco Belinelli (groin) will not play against the Bucks on Sunday.

Advice: This is his ninth straight game on the sidelines and there is still no indication on when he will return to action. Belinelli can be dropped in almost all leagues for now, while Manu Ginobili, Patty Mills and Cory Joseph will all benefit in the short-term. Rotoworld.com

    • Mike Dunleavy (ankle) out on Sunday
Mike Dunleavy (ankle) will not play vs. the Heat on Sunday.

Advice: He has been out since Dec. 30 so the Bulls will ease him back into action when he does return. Unless you are in a deep league and are desperate for 3-pointers, there is no need to hold onto Dunleavy. Kirk Hinrich will remain in the starting lineup on Sunday while Aaron Brooks, Tony Snell and Nikola Mirotic will all be in the mix for additional minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah (ankle) probable for Sunday
Joakim Noah (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Miami.

Advice: Noah's ankle has been an issue for a while now, but we doubt he will miss a chance to play against the Miami Heat so his owners can pencil him into lineups barring a setback. He isn't exactly a must-start option anymore, but if he can stay healthy he should be able to improve upon his dwindling numbers. If Noah does end up sitting, Taj Gibson will see a big uptick in minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson ignoring trade rumors
Lance Stephenson has seen his name pop up in trade rumors all season, but he is doing his best to ignore them in an effort to help Charlotte secure a spot in the playoffs.

Advice: "You can't help but hear stuff," said Stephenson. "I just want to stay focused and stay positive and try to help this team. I'm here, and that's all that matters right now." Stephenson played almost 29 minutes on Saturday which is the most he had played since going down with a pelvis injury, so it looks like he is getting close to 100 percent. While the rumors won't stop until all the way up to the trade deadline, a trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing considering how much he has struggled to adapt in Charlotte. Rotoworld.com

    • Thumbs Up: LaMarcus Aldridge scores 26 points
LaMarcus Aldridge looked fantastic in his shocking return to the lineup on Saturday during a 103-96 victory over the Wizards, making 9-of-22 from the field for 26 points with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Advice: He wore a brace on his thumb and didn't seem to be too bothered with his injury. Aldridge was hit on his bad hand a few times and was not in visible pain. Additionally he had some interesting comments today. Before the game, Aldridge said that he is going to try to play through the injury, but he did leave the door open of him changing his mind. Following the game, he said the Blazers losing two games in a row before tonight factored into his decision. Aldridge also said "of course" when he was asked about his thumb hurting. He didn't mention Nicolas Batum (wrist) directly, but reading between the lines suggests that was a factor, too. Aldridge is going to be a volatile fantasy property, but he's a must start player while he's active. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews knocks down five treys
Wesley Matthews extended his league lead for made 3-pointers with five more on Saturday, scoring a total of 19 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and no turnovers.

Advice: He is going to play more minutes at small forward, which is fine. Matthews has 10 starts at small forward in his career and he's been shuffled in at small forward even when the Blazers are at full strength. Whatever his role, Iron Man has a chance to lead the NBA in treys this season while launching tons of imaginary arrows. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Kaman plays 25 minutes vs. Wiz
Chris Kaman played 25 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday with six points, 10 rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes.

Advice: He was questionable tonight with a leg contusion and a thumb issue. Kaman will see minutes in the mid-20s until Robin Lopez (hand) returns next month. He'll be a low-end option in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Thomas Robinson back to a reserve role
Thomas Robinson moved back to the bench on Saturday against the Wizards with two points and four boards.

Advice: With LaMarcus Aldridge back, Robinson's playing time is going to be sporadic. He does have some nice impact on the offensive glass, but there's no need to grab him in almost any fantasy league while LMA is on the active list. Rotoworld.com

    • Dorell Wright scores 10 in 21 minutes
Dorell Wright scored 10 points with six rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: After basically three halves of no Nicolas Batum (wrist), Wright looks like the best player to grab in fantasy leagues. That said, we have to caution you that he is going to be shuffled in and out of the lineup, so he's not really a reliable asset in even 16-team leagues right now. Maybe coach Terry Stotts trusts him eventually. Rotoworld.com

    • Nic Batum (wrist) admits he has torn ligament
Nicolas Batum admitted on Saturday that he suffered a torn ligament on the outside of his right wrist on Dec. 17.

Advice: It was obvious something was structurally wrong with Batum and now we know what it is. He's aggravated it probably more times than we care to count and the Blazers may still be weighing his treatment options. At this point, he's likely going to miss a week or two. There really isn't a great pickup to make with Batum out. Rotoworld.com

    • Paul PIerce scores 19 vs. Blazers
Paul Pierce scored 19 points with six rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: He joined Ray Allen, Reggie Miller and Jason Terry as the only player in NBA history to make 2,000 treys in their careers. Pierce has been particularly hot from deep lately with 2.0 makes per game in January while his rebounds have also seen a nice spike. His minutes are also slightly up, so he's worth starting in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors plays 31 minutes
Derrick Favors was quiet in his return to the lineup on Saturday with nine points, eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: It wasn't a bad line and it was mostly due to his low usage rate. Favors is shooting the ball very well from the field and is at 72.3 percent from the line in 2015, so he could become an elite big man thanks to his contributions in blocks. Rotoworld.com

    • Joe Ingles scores career-high 16 points
Joe Ingles scored a career-high 16 points against the Nets on Saturday with one rebound, five assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.

Advice: The 3-pointers were also a career high. Ingles has done most of his damage in dimes, steals and treys, so he's climbing into the top-140 player conversation. With Rodney Hood (foot) out for at least a few weeks and Alec Burks (shoulder) out for the year, Ingles is worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Cory Jefferson plays just 10 minutes
Cory Jefferson played just 10 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday with two points and one block.

Advice: He is likely going to see more playing time than this soon. The Nets are one of the coldest teams in the NBA now and it's only a matter of time until they unload Brook Lopez. Just keep an eye on Jefferson in most leagues because his upside isn't too high. Rotoworld.com

    • Joe Cold: Joe Johnson has a rough night
Joe Johnson scored six points with one assist and one block in 29 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: Ouch. The Nets are a complete lost cause on offense right now. In fact, the Nets have not outscored Klay Thompson's third quarter from Friday in three of their last four halves of basketball. Johnson should still be considered as a hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Courtney Lee has another really bad game
Courtney Lee was a no-show against the 76ers on Saturday with eight points, one rebound, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He only scored one point on Wednesday and has hit rock bottom since the Jeff Green deal. However, Lee was hot in his three previous games, so there is still some hope. Unless it's to grab someone like D.J. Augustin or even O.J. Mayo, Lee is a hold for a couple more games. Rotoworld.com

    • Ghostface Ilya gets a little better
Ersan Ilyasova played 17 minutes against the Pistons on Saturday with nine points, six rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He did not play in the fourth quarter because the Bucks were up 24 points to start the period. Ilyasova was probably headed towards 24 minutes tonight, and he also has one block and one 3-pointer in each of his last three games. Any improvement is a good start, so Ilyasova is worth a look in standard leagues. Although, his owners will need to be patient. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson battles groin injury
Lance Stephenson played 29 minutes off the bench against the Knicks on Saturday with six points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Advice: He was laboring through his groin strain throughout the first half and finally got into a rhythm in the second half. Stephenson ran the offense tonight with Kemba Walker (knee) out and it resembled his style of play in Indiana. Walker won't be out long, so Stephenson's adjustment period should continue. He's a fringe player to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Kaman will play on Saturday night
Chris Kaman (leg) will play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: He has a sleeve on his leg and also is now dealing with a thumb injury. Kaman played 29 minutes on Thursday, which was probably too much. He'll likely be closer to 20 tonight, but he's still worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) out for Saturday night
Nicolas Batum (wrist) won't play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: He almost had no chance to play tonight due to his nagging wrist injury. It's interesting that LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) is playing tonight and maybe Batum's status was a factor in his decision. The Blazers will use about five different guys to fill the void left by Batum, so there's little reason to make a pickup in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Courtney Lee and Jeff Green are starting against the 76ers on Saturday.

C.J. Miles (groin) is doubtful to play against the Magic on Sunday.

Advice: He did not return from his injury on Friday and it would appear he'll miss a couple games. • Stunner: LaMarcus Aldridge will play Saturday
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: Wow! He is going to put the surgery on hold and will play through the tear in his left thumb. This is easily the most shocking news of the season after the team announced he was going to rest 6-8 weeks. Obviously grab Aldridge in all leagues and hope he can avoid an aggravation. Maybe he's just putting off the surgery until Nicolas Batum (wrist) can play? Whatever his reasoning, it's hard to explain and he will likely have some answers later today. If you added any Blazer in even 14- or 16-team leagues, you can cut him. Although owners in deeper leagues can look to Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum or Victor Claver because Nicolas Batum is hurt. Ryan Anderson has a good chance to play on Sunday vs. the Mavericks according to coach Monty Williams.

Advice: This is definitely good news as it was feared that Anderson's injury might have cost him a few more games on the sidelines. • Cory Jefferson to see larger role in Brooklyn
Cory Jefferson will see an increased role with the Nets due to the loss of Mirza Teletovic (lungs) for the season according to coach Lionel Hollins.

Advice: "Next man up," Hollins said. "That's Cory Jefferson." Jefferson played well on Thursday against the Clippers, scoring nine points with eight boards, two assists, one steal and one block in just 18 minutes. He will be worth a look in deeper leagues if his role grows like Hollins says it will, so at least keep him on your radar. Jefferson's next chance to impress will come against the Jazz on Saturday night. Rotoworld.com

Derrick Favors (personal) will play on Saturday vs. the Nets.

Advice: He missed Thursday's game to tend to an emergency family matter so his owners can pencil Favors into their lineups. Rudy Gobert will likely shift back to the bench with this news, but he should still see enough run to make an impact in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMar DeRozan struggling since his return
DeMar DeRozan has struggled significantly over his last three games, scoring a combined 14 points over that span.

Advice: Since Terrence Ross was benched, DeRozan has been playing a lot more small forward but he doesn't blame his recent production on the switch. "It's not really about me playing the three, just my whole rhythm and feel of everything," DeRozan said. "Just get that back on track and let it come to me natural, like it was before. I kind of find myself looking for fouls now, instead of it coming naturally to me." To be clear, we fully expect him to be fine and it is just a matter of time before he starts scoring at an elite level again. It may not be a bad idea to float some buy-low offers if his owner is panicking. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hickson started the second half of Friday's game instead of Jusuf Nurkic, finishing with a double-double including 15 points and 14 rebounds in 29 minutes.

Advice: Hickson added three assists and two steals but hit just 3-of-6 from the foul line. He's barely clinging to life in 12-team standard formats and JaVale McGee hasn't yet stepped on the floor, making him a stop-gap solution at best for owners needing a big man, regardless of whether he starts or not. Alexis Ajinca blocked a career-high five shots in Friday's win, and also added six points with six boards in 14 minutes.

Advice: Ajinca was probably dropped after his mini-spurt filling in for Anthony Davis, but if you happened to hold onto him you may want to see if Ryan Anderson misses more time with his ankle injury. That said, this is Alexis Ajinca we're talking about here and owners shouldn't piddle around if there are any worthwhile free agents available. Rotoworld.com

Joakim Noah (ankle) returned to action in Friday's road win over the Mavs, scoring six points on 3-of-8 shooting with seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 23 minutes.

    • Overshadowed: James Harden hits game-winner
James Harden hit a game-winning buzzer-beater against the Suns during Friday's 113-111 victory, finishing with 33 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Just when you thought Harden was going to be the story of the night for a sick crossover to break P.J. Tucker's ankles before he buried a mid-range jumper, Klay Thompson happened. Anyway, Harden is still ridiculous on non-Klay terms over his last three, averaging 37.0 points, 3.7 boards, 7.7 assists, 3.0 steals and 4.3 treys on 51.9 percent from the field. Joakim Noah (ankle) and Mike Dunleavy (ankle) are game-time decisions to face the Mavericks on Friday.

Advice: They're both going to warm up to see how they feel. Noah usually isn't a fan of being benched when he has any say, so he's likely closer to probable than to doubtful. If you were dialing up Taj Gibson, there is a lot more risk now. Nikola Mirotic would also take a hit. Rotoworld.com

C.J. Miles will start in place of Rodney Stuckey on Friday night against the Heat.

Advice: This move is likely to prepare for George Hill eventually moving into the starting lineup -- Hill is coming off the bench tonight. Chris Kaman (leg contusion) is questionable to play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: If the Blazers don't have Kaman, that potentially means they will be missing four of their top six for points per game this season. Coach Terry Stotts played Kaman 29 minutes on Thursday, which is certainly more than his usual threshold. If he's out, Stotts almost has no choice but to play Thomas Robinson and Meyers Leonard. Who knows, though? Maybe Steve Blake at center could work. DFS players will want to check back at shootaround on Saturday morning. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) doubtful for Saturday
Nicolas Batum (wrist) is doubtful to play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: There is still no word of Batum getting an MRI, but it would appear he's going to miss multiple games. He's been dealing with wrist soreness for over a month and he's been fairly open about how it's having an adverse effect on his shooting. The Blazers will have to use a combination of Dorell Wright, Victor Claver, and Allen Crabbe to play the three. However, Wes Matthews will certainly slide over to small forward, which could also get C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake some minutes. Also, the Blazers will have more minutes available for Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson. Yeah, this rotation is a mess. We know. Rotoworld.com

Advice: San Antonio is playing it safe with Belinelli, who has now missed 16 of the Spurs' first 44 games. • Chris Kaman plays 29 minutes
Chris Kaman played 29 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday with 13 points, nine rebounds and one assist.

Advice: Coach Terry Stotts usually likes to keep Kaman in the low 20s, but he might not have that luxury now with so many players in street clothes. He was already in the standard league conversation even before today, so give him a look if you're looking for some big man stats over the next month. Rotoworld.com

    • Dorell Wright scores one point
Dorell Wright played just 10 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday with one point, one rebound and two steals.

Advice: He was the 11th player to be used tonight and might have been played a lot less had Nicolas Batum (wrist) been able to stay healthy. The vast majority of Wright's minutes came at small forward tonight and he could see minutes in the 20s while Batum is out. However, coach Terry Stotts is going to pick and choose Wright's spots, so he's a risky grab in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews scores 18 points
Wesley Matthews scored 18 points with three rebounds, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday.

Advice: He played more minutes at small forward tonight and that looks like it'll continue for now. Matthews regained his lead for total 3-pointers on the season and he should have a great chance to retain it because he'll have plenty of shots headed his way with LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) out for 6-8 weeks -- Aldridge is currently third in the NBA for field goal attempts per game. Matthews will likely flirt with top-40 value. Rotoworld.com

    • Truck Stick? Thomas Robinson plays 28 minutes
Thomas Robinson started and played 28 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday with nine points, 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks.

Advice: The Blazers were forced to play Dorell Wright and Victor Claver at small forward due to the loss of Nicolas Batum, so that might actually open up some minutes for Robinson at the four. That said, coach Terry Stotts used a whopping 12 different five-man lineups in just the second half tonight and ran an 11-man rotation, so we're still not too bullish on adding Truck in standard leagues, especially since he can't make free throws. • Nicolas Batum wearing a large wrist brace
Nicolas Batum was wearing a large brace on his right wrist following Thursday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: He could not play through the pain this time after aggravating an old injury. Batum has dealt with a right wrist injury for over the past month and he also dealt with it last season. He said he can't use his wrist right now and he's unsure how much time he's going to miss. In other words, it sounds like he's not going to play on Saturday. Expect to see more of C.J. McCollum, Steve Blake, Dorell Wright, Thomas Robinson, Will Barton and Victor Claver to get more minutes in what will appear to be a random selection from coach Terry Stotts. Rotoworld.com

    • Joe Ingles scores six with seven dimes
Joe Ingles handed out a team-high seven assists against the Bucks on Thursday with six points, two steals and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Rodney Hood (foot) is out until the All-Star break and Ingles seems to have his minutes locked down. He's a very good passer and the upside is there for him with some output in steals and treys. He's worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 9:44 pm
    • Ersan Ilyasova plays 17 minutes in start
Ersan Ilyasova played just 17 minutes in his return to the starting lineup on Thursday with seven points, one rebound, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer against the Jazz.

Advice: It was an awful matchup for him against Enes Kanter and Rudy Gobert. Ilyasova was not involved in the halfcourt offense and had a couple of his buckets come in transition. He should be better than this and the upside is there, but he probably has a better chance to disappoint than to be a helpful pickup. To be clear, we don't hate the idea of adding Ghostface Ilya. • Nicolas Batum (wrist) out for game vs. BOS
Nicolas Batum (right wrist) will not return to Thursday's game due to a wrist injury.

Advice: This nagging shooting wrist injury just will not go away. Batum has been complaining about his wrist injury for almost two months and the Blazers might give him an MRI to make sure he didn't aggravate anything structurally. With Batum out, Dorell Wright, who was the 11th man in the rotation tonight, will pick up some extra playing time. Batum did not score with three rebounds, four assists and no turnovers in 22 minutes tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Thomas Robinson starting on Thursday
Thomas Robinson will start against the Celtics on Thursday.

Advice: There is no such thing as a surprise Terry Stotts starting lineup. Robinson still is a little rough around the edges, but he could be a double-double guy with extra minutes. That said, the messy rotations are something most fantasy owners aren't going to want to deal with. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) ruled out 6-8 weeks
LaMarcus Aldridge (left thumb) will have surgery on his radial collateral ligament tear and will be out 6-8 weeks.

Advice: The Blazers are in deep trouble. Aldridge is sixth in the NBA for points per game and 11th in the rebounds per game. He's also third in the NBA in field goal attempts per game, so coach Terry Stotts is going to have to go back to the drawing board on how to get his other guys shots. It'll be a mixture of guys because Stotts loves to play the matchups. Dorell Wright benefitted the most on Wednesday, but players such as Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard, Victor Claver and Chris Kaman will also have to help out more. Of course, the trio of Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews and Nicolas Batum will also have to step up. Owners in standard leagues can think about grabbing Wright, but he is going to be inconsistent. • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) listed as out
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) is listed as out for Thursday's game against Boston.

Advice: We should know the results of his second MRI very soon, so owners will want to check back for updates. Aldridge is currently wearing a cast on his thumb, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend some additional time on the sidelines. Nicolas Batum and Dorell Wright will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries in Aldridge's absence. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 4:05 pm
    • Ersan Ilyasova to start over Johnny O'Bryant
Ersan Ilyasova will draw the start on Thursday against the Jazz, replacing Johnny O'Bryant.

Advice: The move makes a lot of sense considering that O'Bryant hasn't made an impact at all this season for the Bucks. Ilyasova does have some upside, and an uptick in minutes means he shouldn't be floating around many waiver wires with this news. Rotoworld.com

    • Mike Dunleavy (ankle) will not play Thursday
Mike Dunleavy (ankle) will not play on Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: Coach Tom Thibodeau also said that he was unsure of Dunleavy's status for Saturday's game, but we doubt he plays in that one knowing how cautious the Bulls are. Kirk Hinrich will continue to start for now, while Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell will see a bump in minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Marco Belinelli (groin) out against the Bulls
Marco Belinelli (groin) will not play against the Bulls on Thursday.

Advice: He has been sidelined since Jan. 9, and considering this is the second time that he has seen extensive time on the sidelines due to his groin, the Spurs likely won't bring him back until he is 100 percent. Consider Belinelli day-to-day for now, and expect Manu Ginobili, Patty Mills and Cory Joseph to fill the void. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (personal) out on Thursday
Derrick Favors (personal) will not play against the Bucks on Thursday.

Advice: There is no word of an injury, and all we know is that Favors won't even travel with the Jazz to Milwaukee for "personal reasons". We will be sure to pass along any available updates as needed. On the other hand, Rudy Gobert will likely draw the start on Thursday and is absolutely a must-start option for his upside in blocks and boards. Rotoworld.com

    • Mike Dunleavy a game-time decision Thurs
Mike Dunleavy (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: Dunleavy practiced in full on Wednesday, so there is a good chance he'll play for the first time since January 1 on Thursday. While Dunleavy's fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues, his eventual return will cut into the playing time of Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks, and Tony Snell. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah out for Thursday's game vs Spurs
Joakim Noah (ankle) will miss Thursday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: The Taj Gibson train will keep rolling for at least one more night. Noah has been getting closer to a return, but Taj Gibson will be the biggest beneficiary of Noah's absence as the likely starter on Thursday, while Nikola Mirotic will also see a boost in his minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge has cast on thumb
Sean Deveney of The Sporting News is reporting that LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) has a cast on his thumb and is getting another MRI on Thursday.

Advice: Aldridge's previous MRI was reportedly inconclusive due to swelling, but the cast on his thumb (which could be precautionary) isn't great news. We'll have updates on LA as more information becomes available, but it would be a surprise to see him suit up on Thursday while Chris Kaman, Thomas Robinson, and Dorrell Wright will all see a boost in fantasy value while Aldridge is out. James Harden hit 8-of-18 shots, three 3-pointers and 14-of-16 free throws on Wednesday, finishing with 33 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block.

Advice: He's still in the MVP discussion, but the Rockets are going to have to improve their record for him to win it. They were crushed by the Warriors tonight, despite making a late comeback in garbage time. Rotoworld.com

    • Slump Busted: Nic Batum breaks through w/ 27
Nicolas Batum finally broke out of his season-long slump on Wednesday, hitting 9-of-15 shots and six 3-pointers for 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a block in 39 minutes.

Advice: Finally! This was easily Batum's best game of the season and it may not be a coincidence that LaMarcus Aldridge was out with a thumb injury. Hopefully this was the game that will get Batum's season jump started, and hopefully he will continue to look for his shot going forward. Additionally, this will save the Rotoworld staff from having to answer the "Can I drop Batum?" tweets that have started rolling in. Rotoworld.com

Dorell Wright started for LaMarcus Aldridge on Wednesday and came through with 15 points, three rebounds, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers on 4-of-10 shooting.

Advice: We all know Wright is capable of a game like this if given the opportunity, but it's been a long time coming. Aldridge will have another MRI on his thumb on Thursday, so we still don't know how much time he'll miss. We've also seen the Blazers switch things up from game to game when Aldridge is out, but for now, Wright looks like the best short-term pickup option in Portland. Thomas Robinson came off the bench for six points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles only Pacer to show up vs. ATL
C.J. Miles led the Pacers off the bench with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's loss at Atlanta.

Advice: Miles is rolling again over his last two games, and is averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games, despite shooting just 39 percent. Only Luis Scola (10), Rodney Stuckey (12) and C.J. Watson (13) joined Miles in double figures scoring tonight, but Miles looks like the guy to pick up as long as he can stay healthy. Rotoworld.com

Paul Pierce double-doubled for the second time this season on Wednesday with 14 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Thunder.

Advice: The Wizards pulled out all the stops to try and get the win, but it didn't work. Pierce was only playing 24.8 minutes per game in his previous 2015 outings and he'll likely be in that range again on Saturday at Portland. He's still worth owning in standard leagues even with the limited playing time. Rotoworld.com

    • Alexis Ajinca disappears in AD's return
Alexis Ajinca, who came in hot, played just six minutes and had zero points and four rebounds in the return of Anthony Davis.

Advice: Ajinca had played very well since Davis went down with a toe injury, but we knew it would be a short run. With Davis back you can safely forget about Ajinca again, at least until Davis suffers another injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Courtney Lee struggles in newfound bench role
Courtney Lee played 29 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, scoring one point with five rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and zero turnovers in 29 minutes.

Advice: Lee was very productive in two games off the Grizzlies' bench earlier this season, but he faces a fresh challenge for minutes and touches now that Jeff Green is starting at SF alongside Tony Allen. Lee shot 0-of-3 tonight and is unlikely to hold standard-league fantasy value while playing a diminished offensive role with the second unit. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMar DeRozan scores six points in 33 minutes
DeMar DeRozan logged 33 minutes vs. Memphis on Wednesday, but scored only six points on 2-of-11 shooting with three rebounds and one block.

Advice: DeRozan didn't attempt any 3-pointers and he added just one assist without any steals, making this a thoroughly disappointing line for his patient fantasy owners. The Raptors are 27-15 overall but just 11-8 on the road, and they've fallen from No. 1 in the Eastern Conference to No. 3, with the Bulls trailing by just half a game. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson too quiet in win over Heat
Lance Stephenson played 22 minutes on Wednesday but had just four points, three rebounds, four assists and four turnovers on 2-of-4 shooting.

Advice: Stephenson's disastrous season continues now that he's healthy again and it's just tough to tell if he's ever going to get it going. But the way he's played up to this point, he's simply not a must-own player. Rotoworld.com

    • Dorell Wright starting on Wednesday night
Dorell Wright will start in place of LaMarcus Aldridge on Wednesday vs. the Suns.

Advice: It's not a surprise to see Wright start and he had some starts last year while LMA was out. It's anyone's guess who will get most of Aldridge's minutes, so any other Blazer besides Damian Lillard and Wes Matthews is a gamble in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) getting second MRI
LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) will get another MRI on Thursday.

Advice: He had his first today and the Blazers didn't provide an update. An inconclusive MRI usually isn't good news, but it doesn't necessarily mean Aldridge has structural damage. The Blazers are going to have some wacky rotations sans Aldridge with Thomas Robinson, Chris Kaman and Victor Claver possibly playing more. Rotoworld.com

Mike Dunleavy (ankle) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: He went through a full practice on Wednesday and it would appear he has a real chance to play. If Dunleavy is back, Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich will lose some playing time. Give Dunleavy a look in 14- and 16-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah doubtful for Thursday night
Joakim Noah (ankle) is listed as doubtful to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: He did some work at practice on Wednesday, but the Bulls will still likely keep him out. Noah had lost a step even before his recent ankle sprain, so the time off should help him. It'll likely be Taj Gibson in the starting lineup while Nikola Mirotic will get a chance to redeem himself. Rotoworld.com

    • Ersan Ilyasova likely to start on Thursday
Ersan Ilyasova will likely start against the Jazz on Thursday.

Advice: Johnny O'Bryant will be bumped to the bench. Ilyasova hasn't been able to stay healthy this season, but he's really the only option at power forward with John Henson and Zaza Pachulia playing center. He played 23 minutes and scored 14 points on Monday, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Mike Dunleavy (ankle) practicing in full
Mike Dunleavy (ankle) practiced in full on Wednesday, but his status is still up in the air for Thursday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: He has been sidelined since Jan. 1, so he will likely be eased into action upon his return. Dunleavy is a good source of 3-pointers, but owners in standard leagues can do better. Joakim Noah (ankle) was a partial participant in practice on Wednesday, but his status for Thursday's game against the Spurs is still in doubt.

Advice: Noah has been struggling to stay healthy all season, so we would expect the Bulls to continue to exercise caution and keep him on the sidelines until he is at 100 percent. • Ersan Ilyasova eager to prove himself
Ersan Ilyasova is feeling great since returning from his latest concussion and is eager to prove his worth to the Bucks.

Advice: "It feels great to be back," said Ilyasova. "I feel much better. I’m trying to get back into game rhythm. I want to try to get that back as soon as I can." He had a solid game on Monday against the Raptors, scoring 14 points with seven boards and one block in 23 minutes, and it looks like he could carve out a sizable role for the Bucks considering how shorthanded they are. Ilyasova does cause some headaches to his owners, but he is more than worth a look in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo's 21 pts not enough vs. Spurs
Arron Afflalo paced the Nuggets with 21 points during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs, going 6-of-11 from the field and 6-of-8 at the FT line in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: He chipped in three 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in a terrific bounce-back effort following Monday's dud, which was largely the result of a blowout. Afflalo is second on the Nuggets in scoring (15.0 ppg) but his paltry defensive stats (0.6 steals, 0.1 blocks) prevent him from rising above late-round value. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge scheduled to get MRI soon
Updating a previous report, LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) was evaluated by a hand specialist on Tuesday, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI later this week.

Advice: Aldridge will miss Wednesday's game vs. Phoenix, and he remains without an official timetable to return. Chris Kaman figures to be the primary beneficiary if Aldridge is forced to take an extended absence, with Dorell Wright, Meyers Leonard, and Thomas Robinson all being in line for extended minutes. • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will not play Wed.
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: The Blazers did not provide any further updates on Aldridge's injury other than he will not travel with the team to Phoenix, and he is set to see a hand specialist. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, but it's looking like an extended absence for Aldridge is a real possibility. Chris Kaman, Dorell Wright, Meyers Leonard, and Thomas Robinson will all see some increased opportunity with LaMarcus sidelined, with Kaman being the most consistent option of the group. • Joakim Noah closer to return after clean MRI
Noah 's MRI on his sprained right ankle came back clean and the Bulls hope to have him back soon.

Advice: "It's clean, so it's good," Thibodeau said on Monday. "He's making progress, so we'll see where he is when we get back." Noah has missed the Bulls' last three games, but has until Thursday before the Bulls have to make a decision on his availability for their game against the Spurs. If Noah sits again on Thursday, Taj Gibson would be the biggest fantasy beneficiary. Rotoworld.com

    • Batum says wrist injury hurting his shot
Nicolas Batum hit just 2-of-8 shots (including a late three) for eight points, four rebounds and four assists in the Blazers' 98-94 win over the Kings on Monday.

Advice: Batum said after the game that his right (shooting) wrist is hurting him and that he has been pushing the ball 'right' on his shot as a result. He added that he has taken hundreds of jumpers during practice to try and fix this, which doesn't seem logical if he needs the rest, but he also cited that the team needs him with Robin Lopez out -- which also doesn't make too much sense. What does make sense is that he wants to play through injury like many players, and the All Star break couldn't come sooner for him. Rotoworld.com

Chris Kaman managed just four points, four rebounds and one block over 19 minutes in Monday's win over the Kings.

Advice: Kaman wasn't the first person to struggle with DeMarcus Cousins and he won't be the last. With or without LaMarcus Aldridge suffering a thumb injury, Kaman was a guy to own until Robin Lopez returned. But now with the uncertainty of Aldridge's situation, he should be owned in all but the shallowest standard formats. Rotoworld.com

Thomas Robinson played 21 minutes against his old Kings team on Monday, finishing with five points on 1-of-2 shooting (3-of-6 FTs), six rebounds and three steals.

    • Wright could get more time with Aldridge hurt
Dorell Wright logged 16 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring nine points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Advice: Wright has gotten starts in the past when LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) has missed time, but his history converting those starts into value has been checkered. He's a desperation plug-and-play if Aldridge misses Wednesday's game against the Suns, which seems likely, with the chance to earn greater fantasy consideration with a solid performance in standard formats. Ersan Ilyasova had a nice night off the bench against the Raptors on Monday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds and one block in 23 minutes.

Advice: If he can do this every night he'll be on rosters in most formats, and the Larry Sanders situation has opened up a window of opportunity. This outing doesn't make him a must-add player or even a hot add, but he's worth a look depending on your options. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: X-rays negative on Aldridge's thumb
X-rays taken on LaMarcus Aldridge's left thumb returned negative on Monday, and he will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Advice: This is about as good as the news can get, and he was seen in the locker room with a towel over his hand, grumbling "It's just a towel." Aldridge also had an MRI taken and that might be the bigger test, so owners aren't in the clear. But if you were looking at the speculative adds from earlier in the night, you may want to tap the breaks just a little bit. Chris Kaman should be owned and from there it gets pretty dicey with Meyers Leonard and Dorell Wright being inconsistent options that might hold value if Aldridge is out for a while. Rotoworld.com

Advice: X-rays and an MRI were taken and the results are unknown at this time. Advice: Monster. Harden is fantasy's No. 1 producer in 8-cat leagues and No. 3 in 9-cat formats when measuring on a per-game basis. C.J. Miles scored 23 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 9-of-18 shots (including four threes) with six rebounds, two assists and five steals in 33 minutes.

Advice: Miles is hit or miss but the hits have been big enough to keep owners happy lately as a late-round value over the past two weeks. He is going to have a hard time keeping things up when George Hill returns and takes away a bunch of touches, and his injury history isn't the best, so owners should probably ride him until the wheels fall off and start looking for other options. Arron Afflalo made 1-of-8 from the field for two points with two rebounds, one steal and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Warriors on Monday.

Advice: Now that Randy Foye is back, Afflalo's ceiling is lowered. He's also stuck in a slump over his last three, making just 28.8 percent from the field in that stretch. He is still worth owning in standard leagues, but his owners will want to lower their expectations after a productive a couple weeks before this aforementioned slump. Rotoworld.com

Lance Stephenson made 2-of-9 from the field for eight points with four rebounds, nine assists and one block in 27 minutes against the Wolves on Monday.

Advice: In today's game, Lance was 2-of-4 at the rim and didn't make his other five shots. Stephenson dropped his season field goal shooting to just 38.2 percent from the field and there is no end in sight for his sub-par shooting. He's OK to use in points leagues, but he's not a must-own player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Mike Dunleavy (ankle) has started running, but he isn't pain-free while doing so.

Advice: Dunleavy is riding the stationary bike and getting up shots, but the fact that he still isn't pain-free when he runs indicates that a return is more than just a day or two away. Without Dunleavy in the lineup, expect Jimmy Butler to continue to hold down the small forward spot with Kirk Hinrich sliding into the starting five alongside Derrick Rose in the backcourt. Joe Johnson admitted that his recent slide is due to having to shoulder a larger load.

Advice: "Obviously, maybe some time off would probably be needed," he said. But with the Nets dealing with a lot of injuries, Johnson is "fighting through it." Johnson's last five games have seen him average just 11.6 points on 32.8 percent shooting, and he'll need to get back on track quickly for the Nets to stay above water. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors gets 13 boards, four blocks
Derrick Favors had 13 rebounds and four blocks on Sunday, but he scored only nine points on 4-of-11 shooting during 27 minutes on the court.

Advice: The Jazz couldn't muster enough offense to beat the Spurs, shooting just 28-of-84 as a team (33.3 percent), with a 10-of-16 mark at the FT line. Favors fell one point shy of his third straight double-double in tonight's defeat, and his injury scare last Saturday has proven to be a false alarm. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMar DeRozan scores 22 points on Sunday
DeMar DeRozan scored 22 points on 7-of-18 shooting during Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, adding three rebounds, one 3-pointer, one assist, one steal, and one turnover.

Advice: DeRozan also shot 7-of-9 from the stripe, making this your prototypical DeRozan line. He also logged 35.9 minutes, and he looks to be fully recovered from his groin injury that sidelined him for all of December. Before that extended absence, DeRozan had only missed three games over the past four seasons, so hopefully he'll be able to remain on the court for the rest of the year. He has mid-round upside. Ryan Anderson struggled in another start on Sunday, scoring nine points on 3-of-11 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 27 foul-plagued minutes.

Advice: Anderson hit two 3-pointers but this was an unvarnished dud for fantasy owners hoping he'd erupt with Anthony Davis (toe) out of the lineup. Alexis Ajinca took advantage of Anthony Davis (toe) being out of the lineup on Sunday, setting a new career-high with 22 points, while adding six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one turnover.

Advice: Ajinca hit 10-of-13 of his shots while shooting a perfect 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. He's been on a roll over the past two, grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds during Friday's game against the Sixers, and hitting a career-high in points today. However, With Davis looking likely to return to the lineup on Monday, Ajinca's value will likely be short-lived as he returns to a minimal bench role. Rotoworld.com

Marco Belinelli (groin) will not play on Sunday vs. the Jazz as expected.

He actually played pretty well on Saturday but coach Steve Clifford opted to keep him on the bench down the stretch. • Courtney Lee is on fire again
Courtney Lee scored 17 points against the Blazers on Saturday with two rebounds, three assists and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He's actually red-hot since the Jeff Green trade. In his last four games, Lee averaged 17.3 points, 1.5 boards, 2.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 triples on 52.0 percent from the field in 35.5 minutes per game. Green's minutes have come from Tony Allen, so maybe the Grizzlies are trying to keep him fresh for later. Lee is worth owning in standard leagues again. Rotoworld.com

Nicolas Batum struggled yet again on Saturday during a 102-98 loss in Memphis, making 1-of-6 from the field for three points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Trying to defend Batum in fantasy has become very old here. In his last three games, he's managed to average just 4.0 points, 3.7 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.7 blocks, 0.7 triples and 3.0 turnovers on 16.7 percent from the field. He also has a 13.4 usage rate and is being eliminated from the offense right now. Still, the non-scoring stats are there, so he should remain owned. Rotoworld.com

Wesley Matthews became the Blazers' franchise leader in 3-pointers against the Grizzlies on Saturday with seven makes from beyond the arc, scoring 25 points with four rebounds, one assist and no turnovers.

Advice: That's one way to bounce back from his worst game of the season on Friday. Matthews is tied with Kyle Korver for the lead in total treys thanks to 46.6 percent of his shots coming as catch-and-shoot attempts from beyond the arc. This was also the third time Wes made seven or more treys this season. He's running out of arrows in his quiver for his bow and arrow celebration. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hickson double-doubled off the bench on Saturday against Minnesota, scoring 14 points with 10 boards and one assist in 32 minutes.

Advice: He has now notched double-doubles in four of his last six games, and it's becoming obvious that the trade of Timofey Mozgov has really benefited him. While he is definitely worth owning in points leagues, owners in standard leagues can still probably do better given Hickson's poor free throw shooting and his inability to contribute in areas other than points and boards. • Lance Stephenson plays 20 minutes
Lance Stephenson played 20 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: It was his bobblehead night and he had a lot of energy against his former team. Stephenson will have a fine coming his way for bumping Roy Hibbert in transition in a move that was nowhere near the ball. He only played 18 minutes in his return to the lineup and the rust was highly apparent. Although his scoring numbers on the season are in the toilet at 38.6 percent from the field and 60.3 percent from the line. Stephenson couldn’t crack 38 percent from the field in his first two seasons, so maybe he just needs another adjustment period. He’s still not a must-own player. C.J. Miles made 2-of-13 from the field for five points with five rebounds against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: He missed all eight shots from deep and even air-balled one. If one thing is clear on Miles, it’s that he has a green light from deep. He’s taken 8.1 attempts from beyond the arc in his previous eight games. Joe Ingles scored three points on 1-of-2 shooting (all threes) with two rebounds, four assists and a career-high three steals in 22 minutes on Friday against the Lakers.

Advice: Ingles has quietly played at a mid-round level over his last three games, but he needs to stave off the return of Rodney Hood and then after that keep it up. Advice: He didn't have his wrist brace on for the first time since his injury, but that still didn't cure him. Wesley Matthews had his worst game of the season on Friday against the Spurs with two points, one rebound, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes.

Advice: He had Kawhi Leonard on him and that's about all the analysis needed here. Matthews leads the NBA in 3-pointers and doesn't miss games, so his fantasy owners can view him as a top-50 asset in standard leagues. He will likely have Tony Allen on him on Saturday, so that won't be fun for him either. Rotoworld.com

Courtney Lee backed up a solid outing from Wednesday with 16 points on Friday, hitting 6-of-14 shots (including a three) with two rebounds, one assists and one steal.

Advice: Lee's fantasy friendly game has managed to hold season-long top 75-100 value despite a pretty quiet month of basketball. He can fly up the rankings pretty quick when he's hot and he should be owned in all standard formats, at least until he cools off. Rotoworld.com

C.J. Miles hit just 3-of-10 shots (no threes) for six points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Miles is as inconsistent as they come and an overall injury risk, though his sporadic bursts throughout the past month have made him valuable enough to own during that time. Advice: He has two head injuries in the past month and had his minutes limited. Ilyasova is really the only power forward on the roster besides 37-year-old Kenyon Martin and rookie Johnny O'Bryant, so he should have some opportunity in front of him. He was able to return from his groin injury on Wednesday, but didn't look great. If Stephenson is indeed dealt and the Hornets do not get a wing back, Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal would benefit. Advice: DeRozan played 29 minutes in his return to the lineup on Wednesday, putting up 20 points (9-of-14 shooting) with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block. Updating a previous report, Jason Kidd indicated in a pregame comment that Ersan Ilyasova will likely play between 10-15 minutes during Thursday's game against the Knicks.

Advice: This is interesting considering that Kidd also said Ilyasova won't have a minutes restriction, but Kidd often gives contrary comments to the media. We'll let you know how Ilyasova does after the game, but given the fact that Johnny O'Bryant has been starting at his position, it's very likely Ilyasova will soon return to the starting lineup and he's worth a look as a speculative add in standard leagues.
