    • Jannero Pargo (back) out on Friday
Jannero Pargo (back) will not play on Friday.

Advice: He has low back soreness and the injury is not considered serious. Pargo doesn't get minutes anyway, so he's not worth owning in any league. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster will not play on Thursday
Martell Webster (back) will not play on Thursday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: He is reportedly making a lot of progress and should be able to return soon. However, Webster likely won't be in the rotation anytime soon and can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith (heel) said that he is unlikely to play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

Advice: He is still dealing with plantar fasciitis so we doubt that he will be activated for Thursday. Smith can continue to be ignored outside of deeper leagues while Tim Hardaway Jr. is making a lot of sense in standard leagues for his 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Gal Mekel looking to return overseas
Gal Mekel is reportedly considering heading back overseas after recently being waived by the Pelicans.

Advice: There is no question that he is a solid point guard, but he hasn't really been given a chance to succeed in the NBA. Mekel may latch back onto an NBA team in the future, but he is well off the fantasy radar for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington starts for Kobe Bryant (rest)
Wayne Ellington filled in at SG for Kobe Bryant (rest) on Tuesday, scoring 12 points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes of action.

Advice: Much will be made of the Lakers' success without Kobe dominating the offense, but the Black Mamba will only relinquish control during the handful of games he sits out for rest. Ellington is only worth a look as a deep-league source of scoring and 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Ronnie Price scores season-high 17 points
Ronnie Price scored a season-high 17 points on Tuesday vs. the Warriors, adding eight assists, four boards, three steals and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: It was easily his best game of the season and this should help him fend off Jeremy Lin and Jordan Clarkson for the time being. However, the Lakers have no reason to develop the 31-year-old veteran so it would not be surprising to see him replaced in the starting lineup down the stretch. Price should not be owned in standard leagues unless he does the impossible and strings together a few more games like this. Rotoworld.com

    • Dennis Schroder slows down w/ Teague back
Dennis Schroder had five points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and four turnovers on Tuesday, playing 24 minutes as the Hawks' starting PG despite the return of Jeff Teague (hamstring).

Advice: Schroder's solid play in Teague's absence has earned him some goodwill from coach Mike Budenholzer, but he's unlikely to keep the starting job much longer. Owners gauging his rest-of-season value should consider his mediocre averages through 26 games -- 9.2 points (48.1 percent FGs, 77.4 percent FTs), 0.3 triples, 2.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 turnovers. • Norris Cole very quiet during D-Wade's return
Norris Cole moved back to Miami's bench with Dwyane Wade (knee) active on Tuesday, finishing with only seven points, one rebound, zero assists and one steal in 21 minutes.

Advice: Cole posts the occasional nice game but has been far too inconsistent for use in most fantasy leagues, and his 7.0 points on 39.1 percent shooting are a big reason for his lack of value. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 9:02 pm
    • Gerald Henderson scores 20 points in win
Gerald Henderson scored 20 points in a win over the Bucks on Tuesday, adding four assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: He was fantastic all night and was able to shoot 6-of-10 from the field while connecting on his only 3-point attempt. While this was a great performance, Henderson is very inconsistent and Lance Stephenson (hip) could be back after Christmas, so owners in standard leagues would be wise to leave him on the waiver wire. • Troy Daniels plays just five minutes Tuesday
Wolves guard Troy Daniels didn't leave the bench until the final five minutes of Tuesday's loss in Cleveland.

Advice: Daniels hopes to be unleashed as a perimeter scorer in Minnesota, but for now Flip Saunders is content to bench him in favor of guys like Zach LaVine, Mo Williams and Chase Budinger. Daniels should eventually emerge with a reserve role, but he'll be too limited for use outside of the deepest leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Watson, Stuckey challenged w/ G. Hill healthy
C.J. Watson scored 10 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 28 minutes on Tuesday, helping Indiana defeat the visiting Pelicans.

Advice: Rodney Stuckey added six points, five boards and four assists with some defensive stats, but both starting guards are on notice with George Hill (knee, quad) back in action. Watson's role seems the most precarious, though coach Frank Vogel has yet to reveal his ideal starting lineup. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks steps up w/ Kirk Hinrich out
Aaron Brooks took advantage of Kirk Hinrich's absence on Tuesday, coming off the bench for 13 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 26 minutes.

Advice: Hinrich (hamstring) is questionable to return for Chicago's game on Christmas Day, leaving the door open for Brooks to post another fantasy-worthy line. Owners should keep an eye on the Bulls' injury report, with the understanding that Brooks' value will fade as quickly as it appeared. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington to draw the start on Tuesday
Wayne Ellington will draw the start in place of Kobe Bryant (rest) on Tuesday.

Advice: Ellington is a solid 3-point shooter, but he struggles to contribute in other areas of the box score. Instead, Nick Young is the biggest beneficiary here and should be able to take as many 3-pointers as his heart desires. Get Swaggy P in all lineups and enjoy the show. Rotoworld.com

    • James Young (shoulder) inactive for Tuesday
Updating a previous report, James Young (shoulder) will be inactive for Tuesday's game vs. Orlando.

    • Norris Cole headed to the bench on Tuesday
Norris Cole will head to the bench for Tuesday's game vs. the 76ers with Dwyane Wade back in the starting lineup.

Advice: Mario Chalmers will start at point guard tonight, and Cole isn't going to be a very attractive option playing limited minutes behind Chalmers and Wade. Those who made a speculative add of Cole while Wade was sidelined can probably send him back to the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 3:50 pm
    • Dennis Schroder will start again on Tuesday
Dennis Schroder will start again for Tuesday's game against the Clippers, and Jeff Teague (hamstring) will come off the bench.

Advice: Through three games with the starting unit this season Schroder is averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 assists per game over 28 minutes of action. However, with Teague available for this one, Schroder's minutes will likely come down, and he'll make for a risky option in daily leagues with a tough matchup vs. the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith misses practice on Tuesday
J.R. Smith (heel) missed practice on Tuesday and appears to be questionable to play on Christmas.

Advice: "We’ll just see where they are tomorrow & then probably have a better feel how Thursday will look," coach Derek Fisher said. Smith's injury has kept him out for seven games and it's allowed Tim Hardaway Jr. to play more. Smith is not worth owning in standard leagues while THJ only has short-term value. Rotoworld.com

    • Pablo Prigioni questions Knicks talent
Pablo Prigioni (ankle) questioned whether the Knicks have the talent to win.

Advice: "Maybe we don't have enough talent to win," Pablo Prigioni said after the Knicks fell to 5-25. "I'm a positive guy and I always think the next game is going to be better than the last game. And 30 games into the season and we are in a very bad position." Prigioni may be right, but he's also only averaging 5.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over his last five games, so he's limited to a deep-league fantasy option at the moment. Rotoworld.com

    • Schroder scores career-high 22 with six asts
Dennis Schroder started for injured Jeff Teague (hamstring) and scored a career-high 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting with three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes on Monday against the Mavs.

Advice: Schroder has impressed a lot of folks in the know and he has starter-level upside in the NBA. When Shelvin Mack (two points, four assists) isn't making every single shot he takes, it's clear that Schroder is the starter and Mack is the backup whenever Teague is out. He's been great since taking over the reins for Teague and when that's over he'll go back to being a stash with top 175-200 value (8/9 cat) on the year. Rotoworld.com

    • Brooks scores 17 points off the bench
Aaron Brooks scored 17 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 6-of-10 shots (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.

Advice: If Kirk Hinrich's hamstring injury keeps him out then Brooks could have some low-end value best suited for deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:43 pm
    • Gerald Henderson cools off on Monday
Gerald Henderson scored four points with six rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 19 minutes against the Nuggets.

Advice: It's pretty obvious his 17-point game on Saturday was a fluke. Henderson isn't really capable of posting big-time fantasy lines because he doesn't do much on defense and in treys, so leave him on the wire in standard formats. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 7:28 pm
    • James Young goes through practice
James Young (shoulder) went through practice on Monday and will be available to play on Tuesday

Advice: It was a full-contact practice and he should be getting closer to a return. Young is a major offensive project, but he could get in the rotation now that Rajon Rondo is gone. He's only worth a look in ridiculously deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Troy Daniels wants the green light
Troy Daniels said he is hoping to " get the green light" from the Wolves to shoot.

Advice: "I’m a shooter, so I have to do what I do, what got me here. Shoot the ball," Daniels said. "There will be a lot more threes. I can tell you that." The Wolves are dead last in triples, so they could use a guy like Daniels. Of course, he didn't score in his debut on Sunday, so he's only worth a look in very deep leagues. Coach Flip Saunders also mentioned Daniels won't get much playing time early on. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster getting closer, out Tuesday
Martell Webster (back) almost went through a full practice on Monday, but will not play on Tuesday.

Advice: It sounds like he has a chance to play in 2014. Otto Porter Jr. was a mild disappointment to start the year, so Webster should be on the radar for owners need 3-pointers. Rasual Butler would lose a big chunk of his value. Rotoworld.com

JR Smith (foot) could be facing more than just a "day-to-day" situation.

Advice: Derek Fisher said Smith "may not have been day-to-day," but the Knicks listed him that way anyway on the medical report. Fisher then attempted to clarify with the following: "I think it's day-to-day. From the beginning, it may not have been day-to-day. It was probably going to be a few weeks or so." • C.J. Watson (illness) starts, logs 29 minutes
C.J. Watson returned from a sinus infection to finish Sunday's road win in Minnesota with seven points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and three turnovers.

Advice: Unfortunately, the impending return of George Hill makes Watson an unlikely source of long-term value -- he played 29 minutes on Sunday and that number will only decrease in the coming weeks. Former starter Donald Sloan also remains a threat to Watson's value, finishing Sunday's game with 10 points and seven assists in 19 minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Troy Daniels scoreless in his Wolves debut
Troy Daniels was scoreless in his very brief debut for the Timberwolves on Monday.

Advice: Daniels made a splash with the Rockets in last year's playoffs but he's had a hard time earning minutes this season, so a trade to Minnesota can only be a good thing. The Wolves' backcourt is banged up enough that Daniels is worth a look in very deep leagues, especially if you're hunting 3-pointers, but he's best-suited to the waiver wire in all other circumstances. • Norris Cole thrives in 37 minutes sans D-Wade
Making another start at PG for the short-handed Heat on Sunday, Norris Cole finished Miami's home victory with 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting, four rebounds, four assists, one block and only one turnover in 37 minutes.

Advice: Cole is shooting 37.9 percent from the field this season, and 70.8 percent from the FT line, numbers which have made him a liability in typical fantasy formats. Dwyane Wade (knee) was out tonight, which contributed to Cole's nice game, and we'll need to see a more well-rounded lines before recommending him in typical fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Watson (illness) starting Sunday vs. MIN
C.J. Watson (illness) will start vs. the Timberwolves on Sunday.

    • Norris Cole earns start for Heat on Sunday
Norris Cole will start at PG for the Heat on Sunday with Dwyane Wade (bruised knee) out of the lineup.

Advice: Cole was lousy as a starter on Wednesday and hasn't been worth owning in a 25-minute role this season, averaging a mere 6.7 points, 0.7 threes, 2.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. His poor percentages are bad news in most fantasy formats and owners should be able to find more reliable options while Wade remains day-to-day. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster (back) out Sunday vs. PHO
Martell Webster (back) will not play Sunday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Webster is nearing a return, but Sunday will not be the day. We'll consider him questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Chicago, but with Paul Pierce and Bradley Beal healthy, there's not much reason to give him any attention in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Derek Fisher was not optimistic when asked about J.R. Smith (heel), and speculated that he could be out another week in order to rest his heel.

Advice: For as long as Smith is sidelined, Tim Hardaway Jr. will continue to soak up all his minutes, and he should be owned in most leagues. Over the past two weeks, Hardaway Jr. is averaging 15.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers per game over 29 minutes of action and he has almost zero competition for minutes. Martell Webster (back) could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Suns.

Advice: He has yet to play this season after coming off of his third back surgery in his career, so it will be great to see back out on the floor. He was seen getting up shots at practice on Saturday for a couple of hours, and he is reportedly feeling good. If he doesn't make his season debut Sunday, his next chance to play would be on Tuesday vs. the Bulls. Dennis Schroder slowed down against the Rockets on Saturday with eight points, six rebounds, six assists and four turnovers in 30 minutes.

Advice: He looked great in his first start on Wednesday, but Patrick Beverley will make anyone look a lot worse. Schroder should have another game as the start and would likely have success against Rajon Rondo. He's worth a look for short-term value. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Henderson scores 17 in start Saturday
Gerald Henderson scored 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting in another start on Saturday, adding two boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: He was great again tonight, and while he won't normally shoot this good, these numbers are what you should generally expect from him. Lance Stephenson (hip) will be sidelined at least until Dec. 26, so owners in need of short-term value should give Henderson a look. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Watson (illness) out for Saturday's game
C.J. Watson (illness) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Nuggets, and Donald Sloan will draw the start.

Advice: Watson is dealing with a sinus infection, so he shouldn't be in too much danger of missing additional time. • Alexey Shved not available to play Saturday
Alexey Shved will not be available for the Rockets on Saturday.

Advice: Shved was traded from the 76ers on Friday and can't play because Troy Daniels hasn't passed his physical, but Shved should be available for Monday's game vs. the Trail Blazers. Given the Rockets' backcourt depth, however, there's no reason to own Shved in any leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster still on schedule for return
Martell Webster (back) is on schedule to return to action this month.

Advice: He is going to have a minutes limit when he is able to play. Webster is a tremendous fit for the Wizards and he flourished last season while Bradley Beal was out. He'll have to fend off Rasual Butler for playing time, so most owners can take a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Watson goes for 12 & 4 in start
C.J. Watson had 12 points, four assists and five turnovers on 3-of-9 shooting in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: CJW is likely going to continue to start until George Hill is ready to play again, so he's worth holding until we see Hill back on the floor after his knee injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Norris Cole hits rock bottom on Wednesday
Norris Cole started at point guard on Wednesday, but missed all four of his shots for one point and two assists in just 17 minutes.

Advice: Shabazz Napier was also 0-of-4 in limited minutes, while Mario Chalmers hit just 3-of-13 shots for 11 points and zero assists. Chalmers has struggled since the return of Dwyane Wade, but the Heat could finally be ready to put him back at starting point guard given the struggles of Cole. Cole's minutes have been fine on most nights, so we could be overreacting, but simply put, Cole was awful in this one. Rotoworld.com

    • Dennis Schroder starts, plays well in win
Dennis Schroder started in place of Jeff Teague (hamstring) and hit 4-of-6 shots for 10 points, two rebounds and 10 assists in 22 minutes of Wednesday's surprisingly easy win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Schroder and reserve Shelvin Mack dominated Kyrie Irving and the Cavs tonight for a 127-98 blowout win. Schroder came through if you used him with Teague out, but Mack was even better with 24 points on a great shooting night. It was hard to see this type of blowout coming in Cleveland, but the Hawks are playing very well as a team and didn't even miss Teague tonight. If he misses any more games, look for Schroder to start and share minutes with Mack again. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Watson will start against the Clippers
C.J. Watson (illness) will start against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: He missed shootaround due to an illness, but it sounds like he's good to go based on the starting distinction. Watson has been inconsistent on the season, averaging 11.2 points, 4.4 assists and 1.2 triples in 25.0 minutes. He's worth owning in deeper leagues until George Hill (knee) is back. Rotoworld.com

    • Dennis Schroder will draw the start on Wed
Dennis Schroder will draw the start in place of Jeff Teague (hamstring) on Wednesday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: Teague could miss some additional time, so Schroder makes a lot of sense as a speculative add in deeper leagues. The young point guard from Germany has been fantastic this season and will get an extended look with the first unit on Wednesday. He does have a tough matchup against Kyrie Irving, but Schroder should be up to the task and is worth a look in almost all leagues for short-term value. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Watson (illness) is questionable vs. LAC
C.J. Watson was not at shootaround and is questionable to face the Clippers on Wednesday due to a sinus infection.

Advice: He has been playing around 30 minutes per night before taking garbage time into account, so the Pacers would have a big hole to fill. Donald Sloan would pick up some extra playing time while Rodney Stuckey's minutes would be extremely safe. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith (foot) won't play on Thursday
J.R. Smith (foot) will not play in Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: It will be his fifth straight game out of the lineup and it is becoming pretty evident that this injury has become a real issue for him. Smith isn't worth owning in standard leagues as he has failed to succeed in the triangle offense and it is unclear when he will return to action. Tim Hardaway Jr. will play all the minutes he can handle Thursday and is worth a look in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith (foot) out Tuesday vs. Dallas
J.R. Smith (foot) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, and his status for Thursday's game vs. Chicago remains uncertain.

Advice: That means that Tim Hardway Jr. will get all the minutes he can handle, and he'll make for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Hardaway Jr. has gone for 18, 16, and 23 points in his last three outings while seeing his minutes in the 30s, and with Smith's status uncertain for Thursday, he makes for a decent add in most leagues. • Prigioni misses practice w/ ankle soreness
Pablo Prigioni (ankle) did not practice on Monday.

Advice: There's nothing to suggest his availability is in question, so we're going to leave him off the injury report. The Knicks gave a bunch of guys a rest day on Monday, so Prigioni should be ready to go when the Knicks resume playing on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith (plantar fasciitis) skips practice
J.R. Smith (foot) did not practice on Monday.

Advice: Smith was announced as a starter on Sunday, but then he was ruled out just moments before tipoff. Considering he's dealing with a plantar fascia tear, it's going to be an issue of pain tolerance for Smith that will determine his availability moving forward. With Iman Shumpert (shoulder) already out, Tim Hardaway Jr. could soon find himself playing big minutes after logging 30-plus in each of his last two. Rotoworld.com
