    • Plays well off bench
McBride supplied 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 112-106 overtime loss to the 76ers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: The Knicks are rolling with a tight seven-man rotation lately, and McBride has locked himself in as the sixth man with his strong play off the bench. Through five games in the opening-round series, McBride has averaged 13.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.4 three-pointers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:59 am
    • Dominates in Game 5 victory
Portis racked up 29 points (14-24 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 115-92 victory over the Pacers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Portis atoned for his ejection in Game 4, leading the Bucks to an emphatic victory. He led all scorers with 29 points, having his way on the interior against a Pacers team that looked out-enthused. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) still on the sideline, Portis has been the primary beneficiary. Milwaukee will need him to replicate this performance Thursday should they hope to force a Game 7. • Bobby Portis lights up Pacers with 29/10 line
Bobby Portis lit up the Pacers with 29 points (14-of-24 FGs), 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one triple in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Advice: After getting ejected early in Game 4, Portis was able to play the entire game on Tuesday. He was able to make up for it with his best performance of the series to help them secure the win and extend the series. He has been fantastic as a starter in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo and has a double-double in every game that he has finished this series. It’s unclear if Giannis will be back for Game 6 on Thursday, but if he isn’t, Portis will have to continue to be one of their primary scoring options. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:31 pm
    • Miles McBride chips in 14/4/4/1/1 line off bench
Miles McBride provided a boost off the bench with 14 points (6-of-11 FGs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two triples against the 76ers on Tuesday.

Advice: Tom Thibodeau has been running a tight rotation, and McBride has been a huge part of it throughout the series. Only seven Knicks saw the floor on Tuesday, with McBride logging 33 minutes off the bench. He is averaging 13.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.4 triples per game this series, which has been vital to New York’s success. He doesn’t need to play huge minutes when Jalen Brunson is healthy, but he was regularly playing 45+ minutes when Brunson was sidelined this year. Thibs knows that he can rely on him, and he proved that once again in this game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm
    • Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip) out for Game 5 on Wednesday
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (right hip flexor strain) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics.

Advice: Already playing without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, the last thing Miami needed was another injury. Jaquez injured his hip during Monday’s Game 4 defeat, limiting the rookie to 22 minutes. He will not play in what could be the Heat’s final game of the season, with Jaquez’s absence freeing up a spot in the starting lineup. Delon Wright, Haywood Highsmith, and Duncan Robinson (who’s dealing with left facet syndrome) are all available to absorb the minutes that would usually go to Jaquez. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:29 pm
    • Ruled out for Game 5
Jaquez has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics due to a hip flexor strain, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Advice: Jaquez initially went to the locker room during the first half of Game 4 after experiencing tightness in his hip but quickly returned to action. However, he was sidelined for the entire fourth quarter and finished with only nine points and two boards in 22 minutes. With Jaquez joining Terry Rozier (neck) and Jimmy Butler (knee) on the sidelines for the potential elimination game, Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Haywood Highsmith, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson are candidates for increased roles. • Leads LA with 30 points
James produced 30 points (11-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and four steals in 44 minutes during Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Advice: James did everything in his power to extend the opening-round matchup, including playing all but four minutes of Game 5, but it wasn't enough to get the job done. The 39-year-old forward poured in 30 points in each of the last two games and consistently packed the stat sheet throughout the series, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over five appearances. • LeBron James pours in 30/9/11/4 in Game 5 loss
LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points (11-of-21 FGs), nine rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and three triples in a 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 on Monday.

Advice: While it certainly won’t mean much, LeBron played well in this series and closed it out with another excellent performance. He averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 1.0 block and 2.0 triples while shooting 56.6% from the floor through the five-game series, which was much closer than the gentlemen’s sweep makes it look. The Lakers were outscored by a total of 11 points in five games and were at the mercy of two game-winning shots by Jamal Murray. Year 21 is over for LeBron, and there will be plenty of rumors about his future that start flying as early as Tuesday morning. Rotoworld Monday, 9:53 pm
    • Jaime Jaquez Jr. injures hip in Game 4 loss
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (right hip) contributed nine points (4-of-10 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 22 minutes against Boston on Monday.

Advice: Jaquez said that he “felt something give” while going up for a rebound. Erik Spoelstra said that they will find out more on Tuesday, so hopefully there will be a clearer indication of his status for Game 5 on Wednesday. Miami has been playing without Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, so losing Jaquez Jr. would likely mean more minutes for Delon Wright and Haywood Highsmith. #HeatCulture isn’t going down without a fight, but if they’re down another starter, it will be difficult for them to extend the series in Boston.
