    • Dwight Howard (shoulder) probable Saturday
Dwight Howard (shoulder) is probable for Saturday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: This is the first we are hearing about a shoulder injury, and it will be interesting to see if it has an impact on his game Saturday. Owners can at least take comfort in the fact that Howard's knee appears to be doing well, but this shoulder injury should cause some concern. Owners may want to check back before tip-off just to be safe, but Howard shouldn't be in danger of missing this one. Rotoworld.com

    • Amare Stoudemire and J.R. Smith out Sat
Amare Stoudemire (rest) and J.R. Smith (heel) are out for Saturday's game against the Suns.

Advice: It is just a scheduled day of rest for Amare, and he should be good to go Sunday vs. the Raptors. On the other hand, Smith is considered doubtful against Toronto, and likely won't even travel with the team, meaning Tim Hardaway Jr. should continue to stay hot. Cole Aldrich will draw the start in place of Amare, and is worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony (ankle) will play Saturday
Carmelo Anthony (ankle) will play in Saturday's game against the Suns, and is listed in the starting lineup.

Advice: This is excellent news for his owners, and coach Derek Fisher also said that he is hoping Melo would be able to play on Sunday. Melo is obviously a must-start option when he is healthy, and should be in for a good game against the up-tempo Suns. Rotoworld.com

    • Larry Sanders will return for Saturday's game
Larry Sanders will return from his one-game suspension on Saturday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: He was suspended for Thursday's game against the kings for pushing Nicolas Batum in the back, but the Bucks will be glad to have him back in time to play against DeAndre Jordan. However, Sanders has been very inconsistent this season with averages of 7.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game, so owners may want to bench him until he turns it around. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili may rest Sat
Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili may be held out of Saturday's game against Dallas in order to rest after Friday's second consecutive triple-overtime loss.

Advice: "It's different every night [with the injuries], so it keeps them out of rhythm and we are wearing some guys down," coach Gregg Popovich said. "Timmy [Duncan] is a big worry in that respect and so is Manu [Ginobili]." Duncan played 43 minutes on Saturday, while Ginobili played close to 30, so it is very likely that they will be held out. Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes would benefit the most in Duncan's absence, while Marco Belinelli and Danny Green would soak up Ginobili's minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Ed Davis scores season-high 18 points
Ed Davis scored a season-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 32 minutes in Friday's 104-103 loss to the Thunder.

Advice: Davis has been on the side of a milk carton lately and this is a much-needed game to bring him back onto watch lists. It's going to take more than one good game to get our support as an add in standard formats, but if you have dead weight and want to take a stab on a turnaround there is some upside to latch onto. • Jordan Hill (flu) grabs just two rebounds
Jordan Hill (illness) played 21 minutes on Friday against the Thunder, but managed just 10 points with two rebounds and one block.

Advice: Hill has played well enough to be in many lineups this season, but owners may want to get him on the bench until he gets fully on track. Rotoworld.com

    • Faried goes for 14 and seven in 28 minutes
Kenneth Faried scored 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Nuggets' 109-106 win over the Clippers on Friday.

Advice: Faried is coming off an 11 & 11 game on Wednesday and though he hasn't been anywhere near as advertised this is a small step forward. He's not a must-start player, but he should remain owned and is a buy low target though at some point we have to put an expiration date on that. Rotoworld.com

    • Griffin scores 32, hits 14-of-18 free throws
Blake Griffin scored 32 points on 9-of-20 shooting (14-of-18 FTs) with 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal in Friday's loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Griffin's general performance has improved over the last few weeks but his low rebounding totals have kept him from truly capitalizing on the momentum in fantasy leagues. Hopefully for owners this signals the beginning of a comeback in that regard. Chris Paul went for 17 and 15 with three steals and DeAndre Jordan posted 11 and 14 with three steals and a block. • Spurs lose second straight triple-OT game
Tim Duncan logged 43 minutes in the Spurs' second straight triple-overtime loss on Friday, scoring 32 points on 12-of-24 shooting with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and four blocks in the 129-119 thriller.

Advice: This was the first back-to-back triple overtime set of games for a team since the Baltimore Bullets did it in December of 1951. The Spurs have to get on a plane and go to Dallas for Saturday's game, and we'd be shocked if Duncan is allowed to play in that one. Then again, we were surprised when he played tonight so owners need to stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

Thomas Robinson managed just two points, six rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Spurs.

Advice: Robinson is coming off a 15 and 16 night against the Bucks, but he's prone to these type of outcomes and owners should look for consistency before considering an add. Rotoworld.com

    • Kaman quiet against the Spurs on Friday
Chris Kaman scored just six points with five boards, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Spurs.

Advice: The Spurs had no problem containing Kaman and he has yet to make good on any of the opportunity presented by Robin Lopez's long-term hand injury. There's a long way to go with that, however, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the double-doubles come down the road. Rotoworld.com

    • Tayshaun Prince does little as a starter
Tayshaun Prince scored eight points with one rebound and one block in 24 minutes against the Bulls on Friday.

Shawne Williams hit two 3-pointers in Friday's 105-103 loss to the Wizards, finishing with just eight points and three rebounds in 24 minutes.

Advice: Williams has all of the opportunity in the world with Chris Bosh (calf) out indefinitely and Josh McRoberts (knee) starting down a season-ender. He hasn't done anything with it so far but it wouldn't be surprising if he got hot so keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com

Nikola Mirotic made all six attempts from behind the arc on Friday against the Grizzlies with 27 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: That's good for a 100.0 effective field goal percentage. Mirotic has been a monster in his past two games, but coach Tom Thibodeau has already said he's not going to take away minutes from their big three in the front court. Taj Gibson (ankle) won't be out long, so the rookie only has short-term value. Rotoworld.com

    • End of the road for Kris Humphries?
Kris Humphries saw just 13 minutes in Friday's win over the Heat, scoring four points on 2-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and one assist.

Advice: Nene played 26 minutes off the bench and scored 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, so perhaps he's healthy and ready to knock Humphries to the wire. With little upside to speak of, Humphries' owners shouldn't be afraid to move on. Rotoworld.com

Paul Pierce (toe) returned to action in Friday's win, scoring 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: Pierce has been a top 80-90 play this season and he should be in most lineups when healthy. Rotoworld.com

Nene hit 8-of-10 shots for 20 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes on Friday against the Heat.

Advice: Kris Humphries played just 13 minutes and perhaps Nene is ready to take the lion's share of minutes back at power forward. He has health issues and hasn't been great this season, but Nene is worth a look if you need a big. Rotoworld.com

    • Bang the Drummond: James Johnson throws 1 down
James Johnson had one of the best dunks of the year on Andre Drummond on Friday, finishing with 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 29 minutes.

Advice: "That was nasty, right? I cocked that joint back and banged on him," Johnson said. Yes, James. Yes it was. Johnson also picked up some playing time and could see more action with Landry Fields (head) getting hurt. He hasn't seen much playing time, but his upside makes him worth watching. Rotoworld.com

Anderson Varejao played just 17 minutes in Friday's win, scoring seven points on 1-of-4 shooting with five rebounds and one block.

Advice: Varejao has been ice-cold lately and though he's returning late-round value on the season, with limited upside as well as durability issues owners shouldn't be attached to him in 12-team formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Plumlee continues his push in fantasy leagues
Mason Plumlee continued his push in fantasy leagues on Friday against the Cavs, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 29 minutes.

Advice: The chains are off and he looks good to go, and he even hit 4-of-5 freebies tonight. He was a must-own player before tonight and if he's still available you should run and pick him up. He has a mid-round upside and the health of his frontcourt teammates will be a question for the rest of the year. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyler Zeller has a solid outing
Tyler Zeller played 24 minutes in a start against the Wolves on Friday with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block.

Advice: He's probably in the most danger with Brandan Wright joining the Celtics, but he has earned his playing time. Zeller averaged 12.2 points, 6.0 boards, 1.4 blocks and 0.2 steals on 62.8 percent from the field over his last five. If he's still sitting out there on the wire, you can probably find someone else better in shallower forwards -- Marcus Smart or Shabazz Muhammad for example. Rotoworld.com

    • Teletovic puts up a goose egg vs. Cavs
Mirza Teletovic missed both of his field goal attempts and did not score on Friday, finishing with just three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 17 minutes.

Advice: Teletovic hit four triples on Wednesday and this is life with a streaky 3-point shooting big man. He has very low-end value over 23.4 mpg in 12-team standard leagues this season, but with the age and durability of the guys in front of him being an issue he stands a good chance of improving on that mark as he gets more playing time. Derrick Favors went for 23 and 10 in Friday's road win over the Magic, hitting 9-of-14 shots with three assists and two blocks.

Advice: Favors put up a pedestrian line in his return from an ankle injury on Wednesday and he looked great tonight. He has been a top 40-50 value when on the floor this season. Rotoworld.com

Tayshaun Prince will shift into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bulls with Tony Allen (eye) sidelined.

    • Shawne Williams will start Friday vs. WAS
Shawne Williams will start Friday vs. the Wizards, sending Justin Hamilton to the bench.

Advice: Williams has been struggling lately, but he's a more effective player than Justin Hamilton and it'll be interesting to see how he fares returning to the starting unit. Chris Bosh (calf) is without a timetable to return, and Josh McRoberts (knee) could be done for the season, so the opportunity is there for Williams. He's worth a speculative add, but he has a tough matchup tonight vs. Washington. Rotoworld.com

    • Not Popping: Spurs won't rest players vs. POR
Coach Gregg Popovich said he will not rest his players on Friday against the Blazers.

Advice: Wow. This is shocking considering the Spurs played a triple-overtime game on Wednesday. We can probably assume there will be a handful of rested players on Saturday, though. Of course, Pop may change his mind, so Duncan isn't a 100 percent lead-pipe lock to play. Rotoworld.com

Paul Pierce (sore right toe) will start Friday vs. the Heat.

Advice: Otto Porter will head back to the bench, so those that made a speculative add of Porter can go ahead and send him back to the waiver wire. Pierce has a favorable matchup tonight vs. the Heat, and he could serve as a decent low-budget plug-and-play in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill expected to start with minutes limit
Jordan Hill (illness) is expected to start against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: He is expected to have a limitation on his minutes. Hill has been sick for the past two days and was not at shootaround. His owners will want to check back and may want to consider him benching him considering this is a late game. If he's out, Robert Sacre will likely pick up his minutes while Ed Davis may also play a little more. Rotoworld.com

Paul Pierce (sore right toe) was a full participant during shootaround, and all signs are pointing towards him being available for Friday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: If Pierce is a go, Otto Porter will head back to the bench where he'll be irreverent in nearly all leagues. Amare Stoudemire is questionable to play Saturday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Amare started out of necessity on Thursday with Carmelo Anthony (knee), J.R. Smith (foot), and Iman Shumpert (shoulder) sidelined and put up 16 points, six rebounds, and four blocks in a losing effort to the Bulls. If he's able to go on Saturday, he'll be one of the primary options on offense for a depleted Knicks squad. Carmelo Anthony (knee) is being listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: There has been talk of Anthony shutting things down to get his knee right, so we'd say he's more on the doubtful side of questionable. If he's unable to go Travis Wear could get another start, but he shouldn't be considered an option in standard leagues. Tim Hardaway Jr., however, would be a primary option on offense if Melo is unavailable, so he’d be the guy to target in dailies. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

Andrea Bargnani (calf, hamstring) went through a full shooting workout before Thursday's game vs. Chicago, and Derek Fisher said he's getting close to practicing.

Advice: Until Bargnani can actually step foot on the court, he's not going to be worth owning in most leagues. Advice: The Wizards are listing Pierce as questionable, so owners will need to check back for an official update closer to tip-off. If Pierce is unable to go, Otto Porter would likely get another start, but his limited upside makes him an unattractive option in standard and daily leagues. • Thibodeau heaps praise on Nikola Mirotic
Tom Thibodeau heaped praise on Nikola Mirotic following a solid effort during the Bulls win over the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: "[Nikola] made a lot of great plays, particularly in the first half," said Thibodeau. "He made shots and made plays off the dribble, he hustled. I was very pleased with the way he played. We did not play a great game, but we found a way to win in the end." DeMarcus Cousins returned to action during a 108-107 loss to the Bucks on Thursday, scoring 27 points with 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

Advice: Well, so much for the minutes cap. Cousins was outstanding on the offensive end, making 8-of-12 from the field and 11-of-13 from the line. He wasn't thrilled about the firing of coach Mike Malone and tonight he had a long talk with new coach Ty Corbin. Dwight Howard played 35 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday with 17 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and three blocks.

Advice: He looks healthy, but was a bit late on defense a couple times tonight. Howard should be ready to go for the future, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him miss a game out of the blue considering how much time he missed with a mysterious knee injury. Nikola Mirotic excelled off the bench on Thursday with 13 points, one rebound, three assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Knicks.

Advice: He stepped right in to Taj Gibson's (ankle) role and absorbed 100 percent of the big-man bench minutes. Gibson is looking at another game-time call on Friday, so Mirotic will be worth a look for short-term value. Rotoworld.com

Amare Stoudemire made a surprise start on Thursday with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks in 31 minutes against the Bulls during a 103-97 loss.

Advice: He was expected to rest tonight, but the Knicks needed him to play because of their lack of scoring depth. DeMarcus Cousins will start against the Bucks on Thursday with a minutes limit.

Advice: He's been out since November and his conditioning probably is not up to speed just yet. Advice: There is talk of people advising him to sit out for a few weeks, so Anthony could miss time despite how he said he wants to play. With Anthony out, the Knicks are going to have to come up with some creative ways to score the ball. Tim Hardaway Jr. is probably their best bet based on how he carried the Knicks at summer league. • Carmelo Anthony being told to shut it down?
Carmelo Anthony stated during Thursday morning's shootaround that he's had multiple people tell him he should consider sitting out for an extended period of time.

Advice: "I've had multiple people say kind of just shut it down or just take time off," said Anthony. "At the end of the day it's hard for me to just do that right now with what's happening with the team. So I'm just trying to be smart about it." The Knicks currently own a record of 5-22, and each loss gives Carmelo another reason to shut it down instead of risk further injury. Tim Hardaway Jr. is looking more and more like a must-own player. • Paul Pierce sits out Thursday practice
Paul Pierce (sore right big toe) did not practice on Thursday.

Advice: Pierce missed Tuesday's game with his toe injury and a missed practice on Thursday doesn't bode well for his availability against the Heat on Friday. There's a chance the Wizards are just giving the veteran an extra day to recuperate, so we'll have to check back on his status after Friday's shootaround. If Pierce does sit, Otto Porter would likely get the start and remain a risky option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony expected to sit Thursday
Carmelo Anthony (knee soreness) is now expected to miss Thursday's game against the Bulls, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

Advice: Updating a previous item, Melo is now expected to sit Thursday night as he's dealing with knee soreness that Isola is reporting will require surgery after the season. With Amare Stoudemire (rest) already declared out for Thursday night, Tim Hardaway Jr. should see all the minutes he can handle if Anthony does indeed sit. Rotoworld.com

    • Amare Stoudemire out Thursday vs Bulls
Amare Stoudemire (rest) will miss Thursday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: Carmelo Anthony is also questionable for Thursday, so we may see a very different lineup when the Knicks take the floor against the Bulls. Quincy Acy, Samuel Dalembert, and Travis Wear are likely to inherit most of STAT's minutes on Thursday, though none are worth a look for fantasy purposes outside of daily games. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo Anthony questionable for Thursday
Carmelo Anthony (knee soreness) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: Amare Stoudemire (rest) has already been declared out for the game, so the Knicks will be extremely short-handed for Thursday's game if Melo sits. We'll update his status after shootaround, but Tim Hardaway Jr. and J.R. Smith could be in for big minutes if Melo joins Amare on the Knicks' bench Thursday night. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard plays 43 minutes, scores 24
Dwight Howard played 43 minutes in an overtime win over the Nuggets on Wednesday with 24 points, 16 boards, one assist and four blocks on 7-of-16 from the field and 10-of-15 from the line.

Advice: The Rockets starters lived at the charity stripe with 48 attempts while their bench didn't have any. As for Howard, he was as dominant as he has been all season and helped keep the Nuggets out of the paint. His 43 minutes are a very encouraging sign and his fantasy owners should have some shred of confidence in him now. Of course, it makes a lot of sense to sell high considering how much time he missed from an injury that came out of nowhere. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 12:29 am
    • Kenneth Faried double-doubles
Kenneth Faried started on Wednesday against the Rockets with 11 points, 11 boards, two assists and three turnovers in 32 minutes.

Advice: He fouled out and had an egregious turnover at the end of regulation, so it wasn't all good. Even before his ankle injury, Faried was in coach Brian Shaw's doghouse, which is nothing new in his second season with the coach. He worked his way out of the doghouse last season and erupted as one of the best power forwards in the NBA. Fantasy owners should try to buy low before he turns in a huge game. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin torches Pacers for 31 & 16
Blake Griffin hit 11-of-27 shots for 31 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and a steal in Wednesday's win.

Advice: His field goal percentage wasn't good, but he did hit 9-of-13 free throws and had a big line. His free throw shooting has greatly improved, and his fantasy value as followed as a result. Congratulations if you drafted him this year. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 11:48 pm
    • Chris Kaman's role doesn't change
Chris Kaman played 18 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday, making 3-of-12 from the field for six points and three boards.

Advice: The Blazers are not going to completely unleash him because of his age and injury history, so owners shouldn't consider him as a game-changing pickup. Kaman should have some low-end value and be better than this, though. Give him a look if you need a big man. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 11:44 pm
    • Thomas Robinson explodes for 15 and 16
Thomas Robinson excelled in his first start of the season on Wednesday during a win over the Bucks, scoring 15 points with 16 boards, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 29 minutes.

Advice: The Bucks did a Hack-A-Rob strategy late in the game, so he only made 5-of-15 from the line. Robinson had a couple bright spots last season while the Blazers were missing LaMarcus Aldridge, but he had a number of disappearing acts, too. Coach Terry Stotts said he's going to be mixing up his lineups, so this is not the new norm for Robinson. We'll need to see it again before signing off on him as a pickup in standard leagues. • Larry Sanders plays 21 minutes
Larry Sanders played 21 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday with nine points, four rebounds and one steal.

Advice: He is not getting minutes at power forward, so he's not going to benefit from the injury to Jabari Parker (knee). Before tonight, Sanders has actually played just 67 minutes this season without Jabari next to him, so tonight foreign territory to a small degree. He's an inconsistent player and that's not going to change. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 11:12 pm
    • Mason Plumlee goes for 23 & 8 in loss
Mason Plumlee made another start for Brook Lopez (back) and had a career-high 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 9-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: Plumlee got off to a dreadful start when Bro-Lo went down, but has now scored 21 and 23 points in his last two games. He's a free throw killer and hit just 5-of-11 of them tonight, but as long as Lopez is out, Plumlee should be in your lineup. He's averaging 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, but is shooting just 43 percent at the line during that stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic starts, scores 14 w/ 4 treys
Mirza Teletovic started on Wednesday and hit 5-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers for 14 points, three rebounds and two assists in a loss to Toronto.

Advice: Kevin Garnett got the night off and Sergey Karasev was out with an injury, so Teletovic got the start. He's probably worth owning in most leagues for his 3-point prowess, but he's been very inconsistent all season. He also recently missed three straight games with a hip injury and had just five points in his return on Tuesday, and could be headed back to the bench with Garnett slated to return for the next one. Wednesday, 10:22 pm
    • Shawne Williams plays 29 minutes in loss
Shawne Williams came off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 2-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for five points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 29 minutes.

Advice: The minutes were great, as he played just 19 of them on Tuesday. He's struggled recently, but with Chris Bosh out indefinitely and Josh McRoberts likely out for the season, Williams still has a chance to make some noise in Miami. Just keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com

    • 38-year-old Tim Duncan plays 48 minutes
Tim Duncan played 48 minutes against the Grizzlies during a triple-overtime loss on Wednesday, scoring 23 points with 16 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Advice: Yeah, he's probably not playing on Friday against Portland. Duncan actually hit a buzzer-beater to send this game to triple-OT, but he missed 10 of his 15 free throws -- tied his most misses in a game in his career (happened four other times). Again, his fantasy owners should plan on him sitting out one if not both back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Rotoworld.com

Derrick Favors had 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block on 3-of-8 shooting in 33 minutes in his return from an ankle injury on Wednesday.

Advice: Favors is back and while he didn't do much tonight, he did hurt Rudy Gobert's minutes (19) badly. Favors should be good to go from here on out, so get him back in your lineup. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 9:30 pm
    • Tyler Zeller scores 10 in start
Tyler Zeller started again and had 10 points, seven rebounds, a steal and two blocks on 4-of-5 shooting in 20 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: Kelly Olynyk came off the bench, but played 30 minutes and had a much fuller stat line. Zeller is technically the starter, but at least for now, Olynyk is the guy getting the minutes and production. Rotoworld.com

    • Stotts pulls a Stotts: Thomas Robinson starts
Thomas Robinson will start in place of Robin Lopez on Wednesday.

Advice: Coach Terry Stotts said he is going to mix up his lineups, so T-Rob is not likely going to draw all of the starts. Joel Freeland is expected to get some starts here and there, so keep an eye on him, as well. Chris Kaman should also get a handful of extra minutes and is the best pickup for owners needing a big man. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard will play against Denver
Dwight Howard (knee) will play against the nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: He went through warmups and everything appears to be fine. Howard admitted he had some soreness following Saturday, but that's to be expected with how much time he missed. Fantasy owners can use him like they normally would. Expect the Nuggets to be in foul trouble tonight. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 6:28 pm
    • Chris Kaman at the arena for Wednesday
Chris Kaman has arrived to play against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Advice: His wife is expecting, but apparently it's not going to happen tonight. Kaman is likely going to come off the bench tonight, but should still have nice fantasy value with minutes in the mid-20s. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 5:27 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic will start on Wednesday
Mirza Teletovic will start for the Nets against the Raptors on Wednesday, replacing Kevin Garnett (rest).

Advice: Teletovic just returned from a hip injury on Tuesday, but should be in line for as many minutes as he can handle with KG out of the lineup. Teletovic should be owned in most leagues for his ability to knock down 3-pointers in a hurry, and he should also be considered as a strong plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 3:40 pm
    • Derrick Favors will play on Wednesday night
Derrick Favors (ankle) will play against the Heat on Wednesday, but is still dealing with soreness.

Advice: He went through shootaround on Tuesday and perhaps playing him in one of two games in the back-to-back set was the plan. Favors has been playing well in the starting lineup and his owners should have him locked and loaded for tonight. Rudy Gobert will move back to the bench, but it should be interesting to see if he gets more playing time due to how he's turning heads. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMarcus Cousins practices, plans to play
DeMarcus Cousins (illness) practiced on Wednesday and plans to play against the Bucks on Thursday.

Advice: The Kings will likely make a decision following shootaround on Thursday. Cousins has been out for over three weeks with viral meningitis and the Kings could limit him in his first game back, especially since his conditioning is not likely where it should be. His owners will want to check back tomorrow. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 1:26 pm
    • Jordan Hill (illness) misses practice on Wed
Jordan Hill (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Advice: The Lakers are off until Friday, so Hill should be ready to go. He's been able to stay healthy this season despite the massive increase to 30.1 minutes per game. If for some reason he's not ready to play, the Lakers will have to come up with a patchwork group of Robert Sacre, Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer to help out. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 12:32 pm
    • Dwight Howard (knee) goes through shootaround
Dwight Howard (knee) participated in the morning shootaround, but is still questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Denver.

Advice: His status will likely be determined closer to tip-off, so his owners will have to frequently check back for updates. If he is held out of Wednesday's game, Tarik Black would likely start but still wouldn't be an asset in most leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 10:52 am
    • Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are active Wed
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tiago Splitter will all be active for Wednesday's showdown with the Grizzlies.

Advice: All three players were rested on the second night of a back-to-back set on Monday, so this news comes as no surprise. Duncan is the only must-start option, while Ginobili is worth a look considering Tony Parker (hamstring) is on the sidelines. Splitter, on the other hand, is only an asset in deeper leagues until he earns a larger role. Rotoworld.com

    • Kenneth Faried (ankle) will start Wednesday
Kenneth Faried (ankle) will start for the Nuggets on Wednesday after practicing in full on Tuesday.

Advice: He has had some tough luck with injuries over the past two weeks, but he will look to put that behind him in a key matchup against Houston. Faried has been in a slump since the beginning of the season, but he is loaded with talent and should turn it around soon. The buy-low window is wide open, so now may be your chance to snag him in a trade. J.J. Hickson will return to the bench with this news, and owners in standard leagues can think about moving on. • Mirza Teletovic returns to action on Tuesday
Mirza Teletovic returned to action on Tuesday, finishing with five points, one assist and one 3-pointer in 11 minutes.

Advice: After missing the previous three games, it is not surprising to see the Nets ease him back into action. Teletovic should see his role increase again soon, and he deserves a long look in most leagues for his ability to knock down 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Mason Plumlee stays hot, scores 21 points
Mason Plumlee stayed hot on Tuesday during a loss to the Heat, scoring 21 points to go with nine boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: He was impressive once again on Tuesday and managed to connect on 8-of-12 from the field. Brook Lopez isn't expected to be re-evaluated until Saturday, so the window for playing time is still open for Plumlee. If you are in need of short-term value, Plumlee is definitely worth a look. • Carmelo Anthony posts big line in ugly loss
Carmelo Anthony hit 11-of-23 shots and two 3-pointers for 26 points, five rebounds, five assists, four steals and a block in Tuesday's brutal 107-87 loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: Props to Melo for playing through his sore knee and that's a Durant-esque line, but with the Knicks sitting at just 5-22, you have to wonder just how long he's going to keep abusing his body for nothing. The groundwork has been laid for him to shut it down early with a knee injury this season and it really feels like it's just a matter of time before it happens. You may not be able to get a bona fide stud in return for Melo these days, but if you can move him before it all comes crashing down, we'd advise doing so. Rotoworld.com

    • Amare Stoudemire scores 10 in ugly loss
Amare Stoudemire had 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks on 4-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: He's playing very well for one of the league's worst teams this season, but how long he can stay healthy, or motivated to do so, remains to be seen. The Knicks are now 5-22 on the season, and just 3-11 in the Garden. Rotoworld.com

Kris Humphries bounced back from a two-point, four-rebound game on Sunday with six points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes on Tuesday.

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) out Tuesday vs. NO
Derrick Favors (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans, and Rudy Gobert will draw the start.

Advice: Gobert put up seven points, nine rebounds, two steals, and three blocks during his last start, and he'll make for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Favors was able to go through shootaround, so we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Paul Pierce (toe) out Tuesday vs. MIN
Paul Pierce (sore right toe) will not play Tuesday vs. the Timberwolves, and Otto Porter will draw the start in his place.

Advice: While Porter is starting, this news will likely translate to more shots going to Bradley Beal. Porter has shown flashes, but remains a risky option in daily leagues coming in with averages of just 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) will play on Tuesday
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will play on Tuesday as the Nets take on the Heat.

    • Kenneth Faried (ankle) will play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Kenneth Faried (ankle) will return to the starting lineup on Wednesday as the Nuggets take on the Rockets.

Advice: J.J. Hickson will head back to the bench upon Faried's return, and he can be cut in standard leagues. Faried hasn't been living up to his potential this season, but there are still a lot of games left, and he tends to be a second-half player. The buy-low window remains open. Rotoworld.com

Kenneth Faried (ankle) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Advice: This is a good sign for Faried possibly being able to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game vs. the Rockets after sitting out on Sunday. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, so stay tuned for more updates as we near Wednesday's tip. If Faried returns, J.J. Hickson will head back to the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard (knee) questionable for Wed.
Dwight Howard (right knee strain) is now being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Denver

Advice: Howard returned to the lineup on Saturday, logging 30 minutes and putting up 26 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks. However, he said he felt "tight" on Sunday, and it's a bit concerning that the Rockets are listing him as questionable after he missed a month with the injury. If he's forced to sit, Tarik Black would slide back into the starting lineup, although he doesn’t do enough to warrant consideration in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Advice: It's a good sign that Favors was able to partake in shootaround, but we'll have to loop back for some more concrete news as we get closer to game time. Rudy Gobert would be a great spot-start if Favors is unable to go, while Enes Kanter would see a boost in his fantasy value as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Kaman's wife due with first child
Chris Kaman's wife is due to have the couple's first child within the next few days.

Advice: While this is fantastic news for the Kamans, the Blazers might be extremely short-handed if Kaman misses a game any time to be with his family. With the Blazers playing the Bucks and Spurs on Wednesday and Friday and Robin Lopez (hand) out indefinitely, Meyers Leonard and Joel Freeland could be in line for all the minutes they can handle if Kaman is unavailable for any upcoming games.Thomas Robinson is also worth keeping a close eye on, as he got nice minutes down the stretch on Monday night after Ro-Lo went down. Blake Griffin scored 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in Monday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: Griffin has rehabilitated his season-long value into the top 50-60 range and he's been a solid top-30 play over the last two weeks. It wouldn't be surprising if he continues along that trajectory. Rotoworld.com

    • Kaman looking at big opportunity w/ Lopez out
Chris Kaman scored 11 points with three rebounds in 20 minutes on Monday, and could be looking at a big opportunity with Robin Lopez out for "a while."

Advice: Lopez broke his hand in two places and it's unclear how long "a while" is but it's plenty of time to do some damage if you're Kaman. He'll probably remain with the second unit but see his minutes spike up into the 24-28 range, making him a must-add pickup with a mid-round upside and late-round likelihood. Rotoworld.com

    • Johnson posts balanced line on Monday
James Johnson scored eight points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 21 minutes off the bench on Monday.

    • Recording: Larry Sanders gets in foul trouble
Larry Sanders was in foul trouble as per usual on Monday against the Suns, playing just 13 minutes with no points, one rebound and one steal.

Advice: He had a nice game on Saturday, but inconsistency is Larry Sanders' middle name. His averages weren't too bad before tonight with 7.5 points, 6.3 boards, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals, so there is some promise here. Sanders doesn't play power forward, so don't expect him to gain value. If the inconsistent nights are too much for you, there's no need to be too attached to him. Rotoworld.com

    • Cousins could play on Thursday vs. Bucks
DeMarcus Cousins (viral meningitis) could play on Thursday against the Bucks, but his minutes would be limited.

Advice: Cousins is in the middle of a storm right now and it will be extremely interesting to watch how he reacts as chess pieces appear to be moving wildly around him without his input. To his credit, he has taken the high road while expressing his displeasure with the situation, and if he keeps his head down and plays hard he'll probably come out of this situation smelling better than most. • Davis continues to nosedive in fantasy
Ed Davis missed all five of his shots in Monday's blowout loss to the Pacers, finishing with zero points, four rebounds, two steals and one block in 23 minutes.

Advice: The defensive stats are nice but there has been some sort of problem with his production just about every night for a while now. Davis looked like a solid pickup at the beginning of the year but whatever the issue may be now, owners that were stashing in standard formats should move on. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyler Zeller comes out flat vs. Sixers
Tyler Zeller didn't play well against the 76ers on Monday with five points, five boards, two assists and two blocks in 16 minutes.

Advice: Kelly Olynyk stole the show and took most of Zeller's minutes tonight. Zeller will probably be in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future, but his minutes might be taking a hit. He's been playing 26.3 in December before tonight, averaging 12.9 points, 7.7 boards, 1.3 assists and 0.9 blocks. He's been posting must-start value before tonight, so his owners shouldn't make any hasty cuts yet. Rotoworld.com

    • Cousins (virus) out on Tuesday vs. Thunder
DeMarcus Cousins (viral meningitis) will not play on Tuesday against the Thunder.

Advice: Cousins is saying all the right things about the Mike Malone departure, but he hasn't made his dissatisfaction completely unknown, so it's going to be interesting to see how things progress in new owner Vivek Ranadive's laboratory. As for his absence, plugged-in sports producer Sean Cunningham gave a pure guess on Sunday against the Lakers for a return. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard had some soreness
Dwight Howard "was tight" on Sunday after a game on Saturday, but is good to go for Wednesday.

    • Carmelo Anthony doesn't practice Monday
Carmelo Anthony (rest) did not practice on Monday.

Advice: Anthony is not 100 percent with his knee injury, but there's nothing to suggest this is anything other than an ordinary rest day. Expect the Knicks to do this again with Melo playing through the injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrea Bargnani's return a complete mystery
Andrea Bargnani's (calf) return is a complete mystery.

Advice: "Until he practices, I can’t say what I expect,’’ Derek Fisher said. "When he’s at practices and he’s out there, that’s when it will be. It isn’t a situation where we’re counting the days. He is progressing but we saw what happened last time." Bargs has been out all year, and there is no timetable for his return. Rotoworld.com

    • Ed Davis unimpressive in 21 minutes Sunday
Ed Davis' streak of quiet starts continued on Sunday with six points, four rebounds, three assists and one block in just 21 minutes of action vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: It was a close game and Davis wasn't in any foul trouble, but coach Byron Scott opted to play him just 21 minutes for the second game in a row. Carlos Boozer notched 22 points and 13 rebounds off the bench and seems inspired to regain his starting job, but Davis has enough upside to take a wait-and-see approach in typical fantasy leagues. • Paul Pierce scores 15 pts w/ zero rebounds
Paul Pierce was held without a rebound on Sunday for the first time all season, though he added 15 points, one 3-pointer, one assist and two steals in just 25 minutes of action.

Advice: Pierce's versatility is a saving grace for fantasy owners, and he's been a steady top-100 option with averages of 13.1 points, 1.3 triples, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. The return of Bradley Beal hasn't noticeably impacted his production, making him a safe bet for rest-of-season value. Rotoworld.com

    • Kris Humphries quiet in Sunday's win vs. Utah
Kris Humphries scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting vs. the Jazz on Sunday, adding four rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: He logged 26 minutes and continues to start ahead of Nene (10 points, six boards in 23 minutes). Fantasy owners should stick with him a while longer in case coach Randy Wittman opts for Humphries as his full-time starter. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 5:45 pm
    • Kenneth Faried (ankle) out Sunday vs. Spurs
Kenneth Faried (ankle) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Faried injured his ankle during Saturday's game against the Rockets, and though he was able to return to that game, his ankle is too sore to give it a go today. J.J. Hickson, Jusuf Nurkic, and Darrell Arthur will all benefit with Faried sidelined, with Hickson and Arthur offering the most upside. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) out for Sunday's game
Derrick Favors (ankle) is officially out for Sunday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: This comes as nor surprise as the Jazz have no reason to play Favors at less than 100 percent. As previously mentioned, X-rays were negative on his ankle but there is still no known timetable for his return. The Jazz were hopeful that he would be able to give it a go on Sunday but his ankle swelled up more over the night. In the meantime, Rudy Gobert makes sense as a speculative add for his ability to rebound and block shots while Trevor Booker is also worth a look. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) listed as questionable
Derrick Favors (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: X-rays were negative, but the Jazz haven't said much else about his status or the severity of the sprain. It is a good sign that Favors is traveling with the team and even better that he hasn't already been ruled out, but we would guess that the Jazz would rest him if he isn't at 100 percent. If Favors sits this one out, Rudy Gobert is the most intriguing option for his ability to block shots while Trevor Booker will also get a boost. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard scores 26 points in his return
Dwight Howard played 30 minutes in his return to the lineup against the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring 26 points with 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks.

Advice: He was 9-of-11 from the field and 8-of-18 from the line, so it was like he never left. Howard picked up his 10,000th rebound of his career tonight and dominated in the paint on both ends. The Rockets are off until Wednesday, so Dwight gets to heal after being off for almost one month. • Kenneth Faried returns from an ankle issue
Kenneth Faried returned from an in-game ankle injury on Saturday against the Rockets, finishing with seven points, three rebounds, two assists and one block in 20 minutes.

Advice: He's easily the most frustrating player to own this season. Faried is the No. 164 player based on per-game value in standard leagues and his numbers are actually trending down. The Nuggets paid him big bucks and they kept him in the doghouse in December last year as well, so there is still hope for him to turn it around. Rotoworld.com

    • Larry Sanders has a nice outing on Saturday
Larry Sanders had 15 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He continues to be on a roller coaster following his six-point, 13-minute game on Tuesday. Sanders does have some upside, but he's not a must-own player just because he's bound for an awful game sooner rather than later. Rotoworld.com

    • Mason Plumlee double-doubles in win Saturday
Mason Plumlee double-doubled in a win against Charlotte on Saturday, finishing with 11 points, 13 boards, two assists and one block in 39 minutes.

Advice: He is going to be capable of doing this every time that Brook Lopez (back) or Kevin Garnett (foot) misses a game so this line is not surprising. Though he is wildly inconsistent, Plumlee is worth a long look in all leagues until Brooklyn gets some of their players back from injury. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 7:32 pm
    • Kenneth Faried returns to game on Saturday
Kenneth Faried left Saturday's game against Houston and has since returned to the game.

Advice: He took a hard foul by Joey Dorsey and struggled to get back on his feet. Faried was clearly in pain and it should be noted that he just recently missed two games with a lower back strain. We will monitor this situation closely but it appears that Faried dodged a bullet here. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard expected to play 20-24 minutes
Dwight Howard (knee) is expected to play 20-24 minutes in his return on Saturday.

Advice: He'll play in 4-5 minute spurts, according to coach Kevin McHale. The Rockets played really well without Howard and they certainly won't want him to aggravate his knee injury, so he could see limited playing time for a few games. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 3:26 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic will not play on Saturday
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will not play against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: It'll be his third game out of the lineup. Teletovic's hip pointer has made him questionable for each game, but the Nets have ruled him out fairly quickly. He could be worth a stash, but might be out a little longer. Expect Alan Anderson, Sergey Karasev and Bojan Bogdanovic to get more shots. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 2:36 pm
    • Derrick Favors (ankle) travels with the team
Derrick Favors (ankle) is traveling with the team, but the Jazz have not provided an update.

Advice: The team is on a six-game road trip, so the fact that he's traveling doesn't mean much. Rudy Gobert had a huge game on Friday and is probably the favorite to start on Sunday against the Wizards. Trevor Booker will also get some more run while Enes Kanter has played his best sans Favors. • Kenneth Faried to come off bench again Sat
Kenneth Faried will come off of the bench again on Saturday, though coach Brain Shaw stressed that the move was not permanent.

Advice: J.J. Hickson will draw another start, but it is at least somewhat encouraging that coach Shaw said it wasn't permanent. Faried is loaded with upside and it is only a matter of time before he gets it going, so the buy-low window could be gone before you know it. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 10:49 am
    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) is questionable on Sat
Mirza Teletovic (hip) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: He has already missed the last two games but could be in for some serious playing time if he is feeling up to it with Brook Lopez (back) out of the lineup and Kevin Garnett dealing with an ailing foot. We should know more shortly and owners will have no choice but to wait patently until we get official confirmation. Mason Plumlee would see all the minutes he could handle if Teletovic sits this one out. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 10:47 am
    • X-rays were negative on Derrick Favors' ankle
X-rays were negative on Derrick Favors' ankle, and he is believed to be dealing with an ankle sprain.

Advice: The Jazz are going to provide an update sometime on Saturday, so owners will have to wait patiently until then. While it is good news, owners are not out of the woods just yet if it is determined that it is a severe sprain. If he is forced to miss time, Trevor Booker will see some increased run, but French phenom Rudy Gobert had his best NBA game on Friday and actually started the second half. If Gobert is available in your league, he is worth a speculative add. Rotoworld.com

    • Duncan passes Jerry West on scoring list
Tim Duncan (rest) returned to action in the Spurs' 112-110 loss to the Lakers on Friday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting with 18 rebounds and two blocks.

Advice: Duncan also passed Jerry West for 18th on the all-time scoring list, but he was probably so mad about the loss that he gently tipped over a potted plant in his living room. Rotoworld.com

    • Davis still sputtering in fantasy leagues
Ed Davis continued to sputter on Friday against the Spurs, scoring just two points on 1-of-3 shooting with six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 21 minutes.

Advice: Carlos Boozer went for 14 and 13 with two blocks and Davis is clearly the better player for the Lakers, but Byron Scott isn't ready to bench the veteran and unleash the younger player just yet. Davis has moved into the starting lineup and hasn't been too bad this week, but he's not a must-own player even if he's a guy to watch very closely. Rotoworld.com

    • Johnson scores 13 points in 15 minutes
James Johnson scored 13 points in 15 minutes on Friday, hitting 6-of-9 shots (including a three) with three rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: Johnson hasn't exactly been a world beater over the last two weeks but he's a top 100-125 play over that span (9/8 cat), averaging 9.9 points with 4.4 boards, 59.3 percent field goals and 2.1 combined threes, steals and blocks. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 10:11 pm
    • Mason Plumlee has best game of the season
Mason Plumlee made 9-of-14 from the field for 18 points with 10 rebounds and two steals against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He did a very good job on the defensive end and kept his fouls down. Plumlee will likely get a couple more starts with Brook Lopez (back) and Mirza Teletovic (hip) on the shelf. If you're looking for a center, give him a look. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 9:53 pm
    • Zeller goes for 19 and six with two blocks
Tyler Zeller scored 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting with six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes on Friday against the Knicks.

Advice: Zeller's recent surge has made him worth owning over the last two weeks, as he has averaged 12.1 points, 8.0 boards, 62.9 percent field goals and 90.5 percent free throws in eight contests. He doesn't bring any defense, averaging just 1.3 combined steals and blocks over that span and he's not going to keep those percentages going. But he's hot and he's worth adding especially while he's starting for the Celtics. Rotoworld.com

    • Carmelo (knee) plays and scores 22 points
Carmelo Anthony (knee) played in the Knicks' road win over the Celtics, scoring 22 points on 9-of-20 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks in 39 minutes.

Advice: Owners are going to have to deal with the threat of injury all season long as Anthony doesn't have much to play for in a losing season on the front-end of his massive contract. See what you can do in trades after the big games he's bound to have and otherwise cross your fingers. Rotoworld.com

Amare Stoudemire scored 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting with seven rebounds, one steal and one block in Friday's win.

    • Mirotic posts solid 15-9-1-1-1 line off bench
Nikola Mirotic scored 15 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-9 shots (1-of-3 from deep, 6-of-6 from the line) with nine rebounds, one steal and one block in 19 minutes.

Advice: Mirotic is doing his part to show that he can answer the call in fantasy leagues when he gets the minutes, and he has produced enough in 17.5 mpg to be worth owning in 12-team formats on a standalone basis. He'll be inconsistent unless one of the three other big men in Chicago's rotation are out, which has been the case most of the time this season. There's a lot to like here given his upside, but owners need to be prepared for some lulls when the Bulls are at full strength. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic is traveling with the team
Mirza Teletovic (hip) is traveling with the team for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: It's unknown if he can play and he should be considered questionable. Teletovic has missed the last two games with his hip pointer and he didn't try to warm up tonight, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him sit. Mason Plumlee had a great game tonight and would be worth a look. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 7:49 pm
    • Kris Humphries puts up another nice game
Kris Humphries had a nice outing in 27 minutes against the Clippers on Friday with 11 points, eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block.

Advice: Nene played 23 minutes off the bench, scoring nine points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals. The Wizards were great in the paint and kept the Clippers to just 24 points in that area of the court. Humphries looks like he's stick in the starting lineup for now, so he's worth owning in 14-team leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 7:35 pm
    • Blake Griffin finally has a down game
Blake Griffin was held in check against the Wizards on Friday with 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes.

Advice: He averaged 24.3 points per game over his previous 10, including a 45-point night on Monday. Griffin was just 6-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line tonight, so this was one of his lowest usage rates of the season. He'll be fine and will likely torch the Bucks on Saturday. • Kaman non-existent in Friday's loss
Chris Kaman scored just two points on 1-of-4 shooting with two rebounds, two assists and one block in 19 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Kaman had been a desperation play in 12-team formats and after a really bad stretch over the last two weeks he slides down to the same status in 14-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan is good to go for Friday
Tim Duncan will play against the Lakers on Friday.

    • Carmelo Anthony is starting vs. Boston
Carmelo Anthony (knee) will start against the Celtics on Friday.

Advice: This comes as a big surprise based on some of the comments casting some doubt on Melo at shootaround. The Knicks are expected to play him shorter minutes while he's out there, so his 35.7 minutes per game will likely be more like 30 or so. He'll be worth starting in season-long fantasy leagues but probably not on Daily Fantasy Sites (DFS). Tim Hardaway Jr. also loses a lot of his luster. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 3:05 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) out on Friday night
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will not play against the 76ers on Friday.

    • DeMarcus Cousins could practice next week
DeMarcus Cousins (illness) could practice next week, according to coach Mike Malone.

Advice: That means he's likely over one week from returning. Cousins did a light workout on Friday and will likely have a few more of those. His fantasy owners should be planning on benching him next week. Rotoworld.com

    • DeMarcus Cousins getting shots up at practice
DeMarcus Cousins (illness) was getting shots up at practice on Friday.

Advice: He still has no timetable to return and there are some reports of him being out until January. The Kings are not going to rush him back, but there is a decent chance he can make it back in a week or so. Until then, Derrick Williams, Ben McLemore and Darren Collison have stepped up while Ryan Hollins and Reggie Evans will get more minutes as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) practices on Thursday
Mirza Teletovic (right hip pointer) returned to practice on Thursday.

Advice: This is a positive sign for Mirza being able to suit up for Friday's game vs. the 76ers, and he'll have some nice short-term value while Brook Lopez (back) is out of commission. Kevin Garnett (foot) was unable to practice on Thursday, and if he can't play Friday Teletovic (if able to play) could see heavy minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill wants to attempt more treys
Jordan Hill is trying to expand on his range and wants to attempt more three-pointers.

Advice: Hill has only attempted 11 three-pointers in his six-year NBA career, but he's not letting that hurt his confidence. "If I took 100 3s right now, I would say I could make close to 50," Hill said. "Probably 40." Hill's targeted percentages would put him among the league leaders, but his fantasy owners will have to settle for his relatively inconsistent rebounding numbers until he decides to unleash his inner Kyle Korver. • Kenneth Faried scores 13 off Nuggets bench
Kenneth Faried returned from a back injury on Wednesday and came off the bench, finishing with 13 points and eight rebounds in 22 minutes.

Advice: He may have come off the bench in order to be worked back in slowly after missing time with a back injury, or Brian Shaw may really not like the guy. Either way, given his salary and skills, it's hard to imagine him coming off the bench a week from now. Don't give up on him. Rotoworld.com

Amare Stoudemire was a no show during a 109-95 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday with eight points, two rebounds, one assist and one turnover.

Advice: He was in foul trouble and the Knicks may have taken it easy on him in the second half of a back-to-back set. The Knicks should feed him the rock more often, so his fantasy owners can keep him active for the weekend. Rotoworld.com

Nikola Mirotic hit 3-of-9 shots for 10 points, six rebounds, a block and a 3-pointer in 21 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

    • Mason Plumlee starts, goes for 8 & 8
Mason Plumlee started at center on Wednesday and had eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks on 3-of-11 shooting in 28 minutes.

Advice: He also hit just 2-of-5 free throws and his line would have looked much better had his shot been falling. With Brook Lopez out indefinitely and Kevin Garnett suffering a foot injury tonight, Plumlee looks like a player to grab if you need a short-term center. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 8:34 pm
    • Blake Griffin double-doubles in win
Blake Griffin hit 7-of-17 shots and 3-of-4 free throws for 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in Wednesday's win.

Advice: Griffin has blocked four shots in his last five games and is shooting 79 percent from the line over that stretch. Those used to be two of his Achilles heels, but that no longer seems to be the case, giving him the potential for first-round value for the first time in his career. And by the way, the Clippers have now won nine straight games. Rotoworld.com

    • Nene returns for 12 points and six boards
Nene played through his sore knee on Wednesday and had 12 points, six rebounds and a block off the bench in 21 minutes.

Advice: Kris Humphries started again and could keep the job, but regardless of which player is starting a week from now, given Nene's injury history, a timeshare looks very likely going forward. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 6:43 pm
    • Kris Humphries starts, Nene plays
Kris Humphries started and hit 5-of-12 shots for 11 points, three rebounds and no blocks in 28 minutes of Wednesday'a thrilling win over the Magic.

Advice: Nene played 21 minutes off the bench and had 12 points, six rebounds and a block after missing time with a sore knee. Nene could get his starting job back soon, but Humps may have earned at least a timeshare, and might have permanently stolen Nene's job. Humphries had been playing very well with Nene out, but came back to earth with Nene back tonight. Rotoworld.com

Tim Duncan will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Mason Plumlee will start next to Kevin Garnett on Wednesday.

Advice: The Nets have lost previous starters Mirza Teletovic (hip, game-time decision) and Brook Lopez (back) to injuries. Plumlee will likely see an increase from his 19 minutes on Monday and is a decent pickup in fantasy leagues if you're OK with poor foul shooting. Rotoworld.com

    • Nene (foot) is available to play on Wednesday
Nene (foot, knee) is available to play against the Magic on Wednesday.

Advice: He will come off the bench and we're not expecting him to play more than 20 minutes tonight. If you were planning on rolling Kris Humphries tonight, this news shouldn't totally dissuade you. Nene's return is more likely going to hurt Drew Gooden. Rotoworld.com

    • Nene (knee, foot) expects to play Wednesday
Nene (knee, plantar fasciitis) expects to play on Wednesday, though he's officially listed as questionable.

Advice: He made it through shootaround without any setbacks, though his right foot is still causing him pain and he's unlikely to log more than 20 minutes in a bench role. Kris Humphries will earn another start at PF and is worth deploying as a source of low-volume scoring and rebounds. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobil are questionable Wed
Tim Duncan (rest) and Manu Ginobili (rest) are questionable to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Advice: It's the second half of a back-to-back, so there will always be some uncertainty with these guys. Duncan is catching up to Jerry West on the all-time scoring list, but it might not happen tonight. If he's out, it'll be Aron Baynes and Tiago Splitter (calf) benefiting. Rotoworld.com

Nene (knee) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Advice: He was unable to play in Monday's game vs. the Celtics, so owners will once again have to check back prior to tip-off for the official word. Nene is no longer a must-own player considering he has been benched in favor of Kris Humprhies, and will likely be brought along slowly in an effort to keep him fresh for playoffs. • Ed Davis scores 11 with six rebounds Tuesday
Ed Davis scored 11 points in Tuesday's win over the Kings, adding six boards and two assists in 26 minutes.

Advice: He shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field but he failed to block a shot or record a steal, which was a little disappointing. However, he's now the starting PF for the Lakers and should be better than this on most nights. If you are in need of a big who can contribute steady blocks and rebounds, Davis may be your man.
