    • Hansbrough scored 10 points with six rebounds and one steal in 12 minutes Wednesday night in Indiana's overtime loss to Miami in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Recommendation: Hansbrough was needed for some early minutes and gave the Pacers a boost when David West picked up three fouls in the first half.

    • West (calf) played 41 minutes Wednesday night in Indiana's overtime loss to Miami in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Recommendation: West had missed some practice time leading up to the series with a strained calf, but was ready to go Wednesday. The only thing that slowed him down was foul trouble, but he managed to score 26 points with five rebounds in the loss.

    • Villanueva picked up his $8.5-million contract option with the Pistons for the 2013-14 season, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Recommendation: Villanueva has long stated his plans to opt in to the final year of his contract, so this news comes as little surprise. Despite this news, there's no guarantee Villanueva will suit up for the Pistons next season, as the team will likely explore trade options or could opt to use the amnesty clause to waive the veteran forward.

    • Andersen scored 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and three blocked shots in 18 minutes Wednesday night in Miami's overtime win over Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Recommendation: The Birdman brought a lot of hustle and defense to the game, but also had some key buckets in what was his playoff high in minutes and points.

    • Anthony underwent an MRI that revealed he's been suffering from a small left shoulder tear that may require surgery, the New York Daily News reports.
Recommendation: Anthony first aggravated the shoulder injury near the tail end of the Knicks' first-round series against the Celtics, which may explain his relatively wretched string of shooting performances during the Round 2 series loss to the Pacers. In any case, if such a procedure is required, it wouldn't seem likely to jeopardize Anthony's chances of being ready to play for the regular season.

    • Randolph finished with 15 points (6-18 FG, 3-8 FT), 18 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in Tuesday's Game 2 overtime loss against the Spurs.
Recommendation: Randolph was rather inefficient shooting the ball, but compiled an impressive 18 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end. Tuesday's output was a large improvement on his two-point, seven-rebound performance in Game 1, but the Grizzlies may need more as they return home for Saturday's Game 3.

    • Prince saw 16 minutes of playing time in Tuesday's loss to the Spurs and finished with 2 points (1-5 FG), two rebounds, and one assist.
Recommendation: Prince hasn't been particularly effective this postseason, and he lost playing time to Quincy Pondexter and Jerryd Bayless as the Grizzlies fell into a 2-0 hole in the Western Conference Finals. Prince could be looking at a decreased role going forward, although Memphis will have three days off to figure things out, before returning to the court for Saturday's Game 3.

    • Pendergraph missed practice for the second consecutive day Tuesday to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter, Pacers.com reports.
Recommendation: Pendergraph has not played a major role for the team in the postseason, appearing in just seven games over the first two series. In those seven appearances, he's averaged 2.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game. The Pacers are hopeful Pendergraph will rejoin the team soon, and his status for Wednesday's series opener in Miami is unknown.

    • Landry finished up the regular season averaging 10.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game in 81 games for the Warriors in 2012-13. He averaged 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game during the Warriors' playoff run.
Recommendation: Landry will be mulling his player option for a second season with Golden State, though we don't see him getting the same level of playing time next year if all hands are healthy. He played a big role in 2012-13 due to Andrew Bogut's recovery from ankle surgery. But in the playoffs when David Lee (hip) was extremely limited, head coach Mark Jackson rolled with a three-guard lineup and Harrison Barnes at the four. Landry is a talented inside scorer and rebounder, but isn't a particularly tough defender and is not considered a must-have for Golden State.

    • Novak played 81 games during the regular season for the Knicks and averaged 6.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 three-pointers a game. He played nine games during the playoffs and averaged only 2.0 points and 0.4 three-pointers a game.
Recommendation: Novak regressed this season after averaging 8.8 points and 2.5 three-pointers a game last season. He can provide fantasy owners with solid production from the behind the arc, but isn't likely to contribute much more than that again next season.

    • Lee plans to have surgery to repair a torn right hip flexor in the coming weeks, the Associated Press reports. He is expected to be ready for training camp.
Recommendation: Aside from the injury, Lee had a splendid season, averaging 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game in 79 games. He's developed into a nice low-post scorer with a mid-range game and an ability to draw fouls. He's often knocked for playing sub-standard defense, but there's no doubting his impact offensively.

    • Camby played only 24 regular season games for the Knicks and averaged 1.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.6 blocks a game. He barely saw any action in the playoffs as he averaged just over one minute over three games played.
Recommendation: Camby was injured much of the season again and has struggled to stay healthy over the last few seasons. He is under contract with the Knicks for two more seasons, but is unlikely to provide much fantasy value considering he will have a limited role off the bench even when he is healthy.

    • Stoudemire said he wants to talk with coach Mike Woodson and the rest of the coaching staff about his role next season, ESPN New York reports.
Recommendation: Stoudemire had another injury-filled campaign and played only 29 games in the regular season as a result, many of which he came off the bench. He averaged 14.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks a game, all of which were either his career-low or very close to it. Although he returned in the second round of the playoffs, he played only limited minutes off the bench. Stoudemire's fantasy value has really decreased over the last couple of seasons, and it could continue to plummet if he can't post a healthy 2013-14 campaign.

    • Martin played 18 regular season games for the Knicks and averaged 7.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks a game while shooting 60.2 percent from the field.
Recommendation: The Knicks signed Martin during the season when they experienced multiple injuries to their front line and it turned out to be an excellent signing. He provided them with defense and toughness up front, something they greatly lacked. Martin will be a free agent this summer and will likely only have limited fantasy value next season no matter where he signs.

    • Barron played in 12 regular season games, only one of which was for the Knicks. He did not appear in any games during the Knicks' playoff run.
Recommendation: Barron has played for six teams since the start of the 2010-11 season and isn't much more than a player who provides depth on the bench. Regardless of where he plays next season, he isn't likely to warrant fantasy consideration.

    • Copeland played 56 games during the regular season and averaged 8.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 three-pointers a game. He saw his playing time decrease in the playoffs until the final two games of the series against the Indiana Pacers. He averaged only 4.1 points, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.0 rebound during the playoffs overall.
Recommendation: Copeland is a restricted free agent, and it's unclear if he will return as a member of the Knicks. He is an excellent shooter from behind the arc for his size and provides lots of energy on the defensive end. He may find himself a fairly desirable commodity this offseason and could really increase his fantasy value if he can land with a team who will give him extended minutes.

    • Garnett will not require off-season surgery to correct his foot/ankle issues, the Boston Herald reports.
Recommendation: Garnett dealt with a number of injuries last season and rarely played at 100 percent. The Celtics' medical staff believes rest will alleviate the veteran's issues, but only time will tell whether that will indeed be the case.
