      Brown finished Wednesday's 118-84 victory over Miami in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 25 points (11-19 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes.

      Advice: Brown was one of two Boston players who reached the 25-point mark Wednesday, with Derrick White being the other, but he didn't do much outside of scoring. Brown scored 20-plus points in three of the five outings in the series against the Heat, and he should continue to play a prominent role on offense in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, regardless of the opponent, especially if Kristaps Porzingis (calf) remains sidelined for a prolonged stretch.     • Jaylen Brown finishes series with 25-point effort
      Jaylen Brown logged 26 minutes in Wednesday’s 118-184 win over the Heat, amassing 25 points (11-of-19 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer.

      Advice: Brown recorded a solid point total, shooting well over 50% from the field, but efficiency remains problematic in other areas. In addition to committing five turnovers in the series decider, he shot 40% from the foul line. For the series, Brown was 9-of-20 (45%) from the charity stripe, which will not get it done against stronger opposition. Add in 16 turnovers in the five-game series, and Brown has some things to clean up before the second round begins.     • Caleb Martin scores 10 points in Game 5 blowout
      Caleb Martin played 36 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics, tallying 10 points (4-of-9 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, and one 3-pointer.

      Advice: Martin reached double figures in three of the series’ five games, including a 21-point performance in Miami’s Game 2 victory. But the inconsistency meant he wasn’t a reliable option for DFS players, mirroring his season-long fantasy value. Martin was a late-round pick, at best, in most fantasy leagues before the season began, and his production bore that out. He finished the regular season ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat formats and offers a significantly lower fantasy ceiling than Jaime Jaquez Jr. There’s little reason to plan on selecting Martin in drafts next fall.       Mobley accumulated 14 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 104-103 victory over the Magic in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: The Cavaliers were missing Jarrett Allen (ribs) for this game, so Mobley shifted to center and produced a masterclass on the defensive end. His emphatic block on Franz Wagner's game-tying layup attempt at the end of regulation secured the win for Cleveland, giving the Cavaliers a 3-2 series lead. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:12 am
       
    • Donovan Mitchell leads Cavs with 28 points in win
      Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 28 points (9-of-23 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one triple in a 104-103 win over the Magic in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: After two poor performances in Orlando, Mitchell vowed to play better moving forward. He did just that, and while he didn’t have his best shooting night, he was able to lead the team in scoring and ice the game with two a pair of late free throws. They’ll have a chance to close out the series in Orlando in Game 6 on Friday, but Mitchell will have to be much better than he was in Games 3 and 4.     • Evan Mobley comes away with game-saving block
      Evan Mobley posted a full line on Tuesday with 14 points (7-of-11 FGs), 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks against Orlando in Game 5.

      Advice: With Jarrett Allen sidelined with a rib contusion, Evan Mobley was the primary center for this game. He has had a solid series, but Allen has been more dominant down low. However, this was a golden opportunity for Mobley to shine, and he ended up securing the win by blocking a layup attempt from Franz Wagner with just a few seconds left. He posted a full stat line and made numerous plays down the stretch that resulted in the win. It’s unclear if Allen will be back for Game 6 on Friday, but if he remains out, the Cavs should be confident with Mobley at center. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:02 pm
       
    • Strong fourth quarter not enough
      Reaves closed Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 19 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals over 34 minutes.

      Advice: Reaves scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs on another game-winning shot by Jamal Murray. After a slow start to the opening-round series, Reaves averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 35.0 minutes over the final three matchups, but Los Angeles won only one of those contests. The third-year wing appeared in all 82 regular-season games and averaged 15.9 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 32.1 minutes -- all career highs.       Advice: Jokic dominated on the boards and fell just one assist shy of a triple-double in Monday's series-clinching win. He continues to show why he's one of the most valuable big men in the league, as he averaged 28.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.2 steals over five games in the opening round.     • Austin Reaves posts 19/3/4/3/2 line in Game 5 loss
      Austin Reaves provided a scoring boost on Monday with 19 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks and one triple against Denver.

      Advice: Reaves came alive in the fourth quarter and had nine points over the final six minutes of the game as the Lakers traded leads with the Nuggets. It didn’t end up being enough to keep their season alive, but Reaves was still able to turn in a solid stat line. This was year one of a four year deal that has been a bargain for the Lakers. That flexibility should allow the Lakers to reload this summer, with Reaves being one of the only players outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis that should be a safe bet to be wearing purple and gold again next season.
