  • Justin Hamilton returned to action on Thursday November 20.

  • Darren Collison shines against the Bulls
Darren Collison played terrific ball on both ends of the floor against the Bulls on Thursday during a 103-88 win with 17 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, one block and one turnover.

Advice: The Kings had a season-high 26 assists as a team tonight and had six players in double figures. They still rank 27th in the NBA for assists per game, but at least it's a step up from last in 2013-14. Collison has been a steal for his fantasy owners as a top-50 player despite sub-par shooting and it's become abundantly clear he has no competition for his starter's minutes.

  • Mazel Tov: Omri Casspi has perfect shooting
Omri Casspi made all five shots from the field and all four from the line for 14 points with one rebound and one steal against the Bulls on Thursday.

Advice: He played a handful of minutes as the stretch four tonight, but most of his playing time will come as Rudy Gay's backup. Casspi is only worth owning in deep leagues.
  • DeMarcus Cousins post 22-14 line in win
DeMarcus Cousins played through a hip injury and lived in the paint against the Bulls on Thursday, scoring 22 points with 14 boards, four assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes.

Advice: He did turn the ball over five times and had five fouls. Cousins leads the NBA in fouls and has committed at least five in all but three games this season. Besides that and the high turnovers, Cousins is dominating on the stat sheet and is the main reason why the Kings are 7-5. He's in the mix to be the most valuable big man behind Anthony Davis.
  • Rudy Gay puts up an efficient 20 points
Rudy Gay made 7-of-11 from the field for 20 points against the Bulls on Thursday and added seven rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: He was probable to play with some Achilles soreness and he did have a heating pad on his foot in the fourth quarter. According to TNT's telecast, the Kings were planning on treating him in the game, so there's no need to worry. There is a chance this becomes an issue later, but Gay should be in all lineups right now.
  • Aaron Brooks scores 12 points in a loss
Aaron Brooks played down the stretch against the Kings during a 103-88 loss on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Kirk Hinrich (chest) suffered an injury tonight and the extent is not yet known. If Hinrich is out, Brooks would pick up all the minutes he can handle. Considering it's just a chest injury, fantasy owners shouldn't be too aggressive on adding Brooks.
  • X-rays are negative on Kirk Hinrich (chest)
X-rays were negative on Kirk Hinrich's chest and he was diagnosed with a contusion following Thursday's game against the Kings.

Advice: He didn't play at the end of the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean his injury had anything to do with it. Hinrich finished with nine points, three rebounds, seven assists and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes. If he is going to miss time, Aaron Brooks would almost become a must add as the only healthy point guard who is in the rotation. E'Twaun Moore would also get in the rotation.

  • Taj Gibson has a letdown game in Sacramento
Taj Gibson scored 12 points with eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 34 minutes against the Kings on Thursday.

Advice: Gibson owners had higher hopes than this tonight as the starting power forward. In his seven starts at power forward last season, he averaged 20.6 points, 9.7 boards, 1.7 blocks and 0.9 steals. Pau Gasol (calf) could miss more time, so Gibson owners should continue to have him locked into their lineups until further notice.
  • Joakim Noah turns it on late
Joakim Noah turned it on late against the Kings in a losing effort on Thursday, finishing with 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes.

Advice: He played almost the entire fourth quarter with five fouls and was very active on the glass. Noah had another double-double on Monday in the first game without Pau Gasol, so it's fair to say Noah will have better fantasy value sans Pau.
  • Jimmy Butler scores 23 points
Jimmy Butler scored 23 points against the Kings on Thursday with eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and three turnovers.

Advice: He operated out of the post quite a bit, but he had nine of his 11 makes come off an assist tonight. Butler has been the go-to option for the Bulls these days, but his usage takes a massive hit when Derrick Rose (hamstring) is on the floor. He's putting up first-round value right now.
  • Jamal Crawford stinks on Thursday
Jamal Crawford had his worst scoring output of the season with just five points against the Heat on Thursday, adding three rebounds, nine assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on 1-of-6 from the field.

Advice: His nine assists were the most he's had since Jan. 25, 2014, but his shots were not falling. Crawford is likely going to stay in the second unit unless Matt Barnes (sore calf) needs to miss time. He'll still have decent value as one of the best sixth men in the NBA.
  • Rudy, DMC and Thompson are all in on Thurs
Rudy Gay (Achilles), Jason Thompson (quad) and DeMarcus Cousins (hip) are all starting on Thursday.

Advice: The team called them all probable and didn't provide any updates leading up to the game, but at least there were no surprises here. Get Gay and Cousins in your lineups.
  • Gary Neal (concussion) probable for Friday
Gary Neal (concussion) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: Neal still needs to pass the leagues' concussion protocol, but it's looking like he's very close to making a return. He's averaging 12.2 points and 1.2 three-pointers per game this season, so he's worth a look for owners seeking a 3-point specialist upon his return. Just know that he's also shooting 39.8 percent from the field.

  • Justin Hamilton (groin/hip) available Thurs.
Justin Hamilton (groin/hip) will be "available if needed" for Thursday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Hamilton is averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds with the Heat this season, and it sounds like he may not even get off the bench tonight. It'll take more than a few catastrophic injuries to Miami's frontcourt for Hamilton to gain any sort of relevancy in standard leagues, and owners can continue to leave him untouched on the waiver wire in all leagues.
  • Matt Bonner (stomach) questionable for Friday
Matt Bonner (stomach illness) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Bonner is averaging just 6.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.4 three-pointers on the season, and that pretty much tells you all you need to know about Bonner's non-existent fantasy value. Feel free to leave The Red Mamba on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues.

  • DeMarcus Cousins (hip) probable for Thursday
DeMarcus Cousins (hip) is being listed as probable for Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: Cousins' injury seems very minor, and he was able to put up 24 points and 17 rebounds during his last outing, despite tweaking his left hip flexor during Tuesday's warmups. Stay tuned for an official update as we draw closer to Thursday's tip, but things are looking positive for Sacramento's primary offensive weapon.
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) probable for Thursday
Rudy Gay (Achilles) is being listed as probable for Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: Gay hasn't missed a game yet with his Achilles tendinitis, so we're going to say he's very likely to play in this one. Still, owners will want to check back for an official update as we draw closer to Thursday's tip. If Gay is unable to go, Omri Casspi would likely pick up a majority of his minutes at small forward. Stay tuned.
  • Samuel Dalembert plays eight minutes
Samuel Dalembert played eight minutes against the Wolves on Wednesday with three points, one rebound and one block.

Advice: This is his third game in single-digit minutes on the season, so just remember that when Dalembert turns in a random big game. He's not going to be worth owning in most leagues unless the Knicks get hammered with injuries.
    Wednesday, 10:39 pm
  • Ersan Ilyasova has another good game
Ersan Ilyasova played well against the Nets on Wednesday with 14 points, five rebounds, one assist, three steals and three fouls in 21 minutes.

Advice: He played just 20 minutes in his 20-point game from Tuesday, but there is still no indication he's going to get more than around 20 minutes. Ilyasova can be left on the wire in most leagues until his minutes rise.
    Wednesday, 10:00 pm
  • Rudy Gay is questionable for Thursday
Rudy Gay (Achilles) is questionable to face the Bulls on Thursday.

Advice: He was questionable on Tuesday and didn't play well in a loss to the Pelicans. Gay has dealt with some Achilles issues before, but he should still be in the lineup. Check back tomorrow for an update.
    Wednesday, 7:48 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins is probable for Thursday
DeMarcus Cousins (hip) is probable to face the Bulls on Thursday.

Advice: He should be fine and was able to play through the injury on Tuesday. Cousins has been outstanding this season and he'll get a tough test against a great Chicago frontline.
    Wednesday, 7:44 pm
  • Matt Bonner out Wednesday w/ stomach illness
Matt Bonner will not suit up for the Spurs on Wednesday due to a stomach illness.

Advice: Tiago Splitter (calf) is still on the shelf, so there will be extra opportunities for Tim Duncan, Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes against the Cavaliers' lenient frontcourt. Bonner is coming off a fluky 18-point game vs. the 76ers, but he's too inconsistent for use as more than a 3-point specialist in very deep leagues.
    Wednesday, 2:40 pm
    5:00 pm @ Min
  • Gary Neal (concussion) inactive Wednesday
Gary Neal (concussion) is inactive for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: He is still dealing with symptoms and will still have to pass the NBA's concussion protocol once he is feeling better. Neal has been a spark off of the Hornet's bench this season and when he returns he will be worth a look for owners in need of 3-pointers. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) is out Wednesday and P.J. Hairston (ankle) is doubtful, so Gerald Henderson will likely play all the minutes he can handle and is worth a look in daily leagues.

    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) quiet in 37 minutes Tues.
Rudy Gay (Achilles) had a subpar game in 37 minutes of action on Tuesday, making 6-of-17 field goals to finish with 15 points, four rebounds, five assists, one steal and four turnovers.

Advice: Gay didn't appear hobbled and his playing time suggests the Kings' coaches and trainers weren't overly concerned about his Achilles tendinitis, which had him listed as questionable for the game. Sacramento returns to action on Thursday vs. the Bulls, and fantasy owners should assume Gay will start unless a report surfaces to the contrary.
    Tuesday, 9:38 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (hip) plays well vs Pelicans
DeMarcus Cousins tweaked his left hip flexor while warming up for Tuesday's game, but he still finished with 24 points, 17 boards, three assists and two blocks vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Needless to say, the hip injury didn't limit DMC and shouldn't be a problem going forward. The Kings jumped out to a big lead for the third straight game tonight, but once again they let it slip away and their record has fallen to 6-5 after an impressive 5-1 start to the season. They'll have a tough task staying above .500 with the Bulls coming to town for a nationally-televised game on Thursday.
    Tuesday, 9:36 pm
  • Ersan Ilyasova shoots 8-of-10 for 20 points
Ersan Ilyasova made 8-of-10 field goals with three 3-pointers to finish Tuesday's home win with 20 points in just 20 minutes.

Advice: He chipped in two rebounds and one assist, but also missed 1-of-4 free throws in a fluky line off the bench. His limited playing time is reason enough to avoid him, though he has too much upside to fall completely off the radar.
    Tuesday, 7:50 pm
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) starting vs. New Orleans
Rudy Gay (Achilles) will start Tuesday's game vs. New Orleans, as expected.

Advice: Gay has some tendinitis in his right Achilles but the fact that he's active indicates it's not serious. He's off to a terrific start this season, averaging 22.5 points and 6.8 rebounds, and it's safe to keep him active in all lineups.
    Tuesday, 5:26 pm
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) probable Tuesday vs. NO
Rudy Gay (right Achilles tendinitis) has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: It's looking likely that Gay will suit up for this one, but owners will want to check back for an official update as we draw closer to Tuesday's tip. If Gay sits, Omri Casspi would likely pick up a majority of the minutes at small forward, and would make for a decent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
    Tuesday, 2:22 pm
  • Gary Neal to miss Wednesday's game vs Pacers
Gary Neal (concussion) will miss Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: Neal is still experiencing symptoms from the concussion that he suffered during Saturday's game against the Warriors and will miss his second consecutive game on Wednesday. With Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) already declared out and P.J. Hairston (ankle) listed as doubtful, Gerald Henderson will get all the minutes he can handle and will make for a solid plug-and-play option on Wednesday.

  • Joakim Noah says Bulls have work to do
Joakim Noah said the Bulls still have work to do after Monday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: After easily defeating the Clippers without Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol, Noah said the Bulls have some building to do. "We have a lot of work to do," Noah said. "As long as we stay humble and we keep working, keep getting better as a team, hopefully, we'll have a chance. But we're nowhere near where we have to be." While Noah's numbers haven't been exactly what his fantasy owners expected, his improved play over the Bulls' last five games should give hope that he can still return top-30 value.
    Tuesday, 7:53 am
  • Crawford scores 24 points with five assists
Jamal Crawford scored 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting with two rebounds, five assists, one steal and one three in Monday's loss.

Advice: Crawford is rolling along as a solid mid-round value and is a must-start player until further notice.
    Monday, 11:10 pm
  • Gibson enjoys like without Pau on Monday
Taj Gibson enjoyed life without Pau Gasol (calf) in Monday's road win over the Clippers, scoring 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting with five rebounds, six assists, one steal and two blocks in 41 minutes.

Advice: Yes, he would be quite good if Gasol (day-to-day) missed any extended time, but everybody knew that coming into the season. He still has standalone value and should be in many lineups on a weekly basis.
    Monday, 11:08 pm
  • Noah posts big popcorn line in easy win
Joakim Noah scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting with 16 rebounds and six assists in Monday's easy win over the Clippers.

Advice: Noah's numbers are down in enough areas to worry that he's still not at 100 percent, but he's playing and doing enough to return top-75 value.
    Monday, 11:04 pm
  • Butler headlines night of big lines for Bulls
Jimmy Butler scored 22 points on 6-of-17 shooting with six rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one three and a 9-of-10 mark from the foul line in Monday's win.

Advice: Butler is returning top-10 fantasy value and it's unclear where his shooting percentages are ultimately going to fall because he has clearly improved. Making an ungodly 80.6 percent from the line on 8.0 attempts per game, we're getting past issues involving small sample size too. The safe play is to sell him high in exchange for a well-positioned top-20 asset, but what fun would that be?
    Monday, 11:02 pm
  • Hinrich scores 14 points with five assists
Kirk Hinrich scored 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting with four 3-pointers, two rebounds, five assists and three steals in Monday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: Hinrich doesn't hold 14-team value on the year despite averaging 28.4 minutes per game this season. With Derrick Rose (hamstring) returning any time he's a Hail Mary in daily leagues at best.
    Monday, 10:57 pm
    7:30 pm @ Por
  • Brooks quiet in another missed opportunity
Aaron Brooks scored just seven points on 3-of-8 shooting with one assist in 20 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: Brooks is going to be measured by how he performs on the nights when Derrick Rose is invariably out, and by this measurement he'll be harder to trust next time out. Rose is day-to-day with his current hamstring injury.
    Monday, 10:54 pm
  • Red Mamba scores 18 points in win
Matt Bonner scored 18 points with one rebound, three assists and four 3-pointers in 20 minutes against the 76ers on Monday.

Advice: The 76ers will give up big lines and this is one of the funnier ones. Bonner is not worth owning in most leagues, but he's a deep-league spot-start guy while Tiago Splitter (calf) is out.
    Monday, 10:24 pm
    5:00 pm @ Min
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) is questionable for Tues.
Rudy Gay is questionable for Tuesday night against the Pelicans due to Achilles tendinitis.

Advice: He had some Achilles soreness last year and was able to play through it, so his fantasy owners shouldn't totally panic. We should know more at morning shootaround and his owners will want to check back tomorrow. If he's out, Omri Casspi would likely get most of the time at small forward.
    Monday, 4:19 pm
  • Gary Neal still dizzy, experiencing headaches
Gary Neal (head) is still experiencing dizziness and headaches.

Advice: Neal has no timetable to return from his concussion. He can't begin the concussion protocol until he's symptom-free for 24 hours, so Neal has a very real chance to miss at least a handful of games. Without him and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) available, Gerald Henderson, P.J. Hairston and Brian Roberts will pick up the slack.
    Monday, 8:42 am
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Gary Neal (concussion) will not play vs. Mavs
Gary Neal (concussion) will not play vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

Advice: Neal suffered the injury during Saturday's game, when he hit his head on the court, and he'll need to pass the NBA's strict concussion protocols before returning. Gerald Henderson, P.J. Hairston and Brian Roberts will each absorb some of the 24.7 minutes Neal has been averaging this season.
    Sunday, 6:37 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Ersan Ilyasova fading into Bucks' bench
Ersan Ilyasova shifted to the bench on Sunday and scored only two points with two rebounds and no other stats in 12 minutes.

Advice: This was a disappointing result but it wasn't hard to foresee, as Ilyasova has played poorly in six starts this season, averaging just 6.8 points on 37.0 percent shooting. He's been nowhere near 12-team value this year and can be cut without compunction in all but the deepest formats.
    Sunday, 5:55 pm
  • Samuel Dalembert grabs eight rebounds in win
Samuel Dalembert put up eight points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block over 22 minutes of action on Sunday.

Advice: Dalembert is averaging 2.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks on the season, and his lack of consistency takes him out of the running for standard league consideration. Leave him on the wire.
    Sunday, 3:19 pm
  • Report: Rudy Gay agrees to 3-year, $40M deal
Rudy Gay has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the Kings.

Advice: The deal includes a player option for the 2017-18 season, and the Kings got a relative bargain on Gay. Rudy has been very impressive this season, averaging 22.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 three-pointers per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field. That's good enough for second-round value, and he should continue to fill up the stat sheet as the Kings' No. 2 option on offense.
    Sunday, 12:08 pm
  • Jamal Crawford scores just nine points
Jamal Crawford scored just nine points against the Suns on Saturday with three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He moved back to the bench tonight, which is a role he's certainly comfortable as a multiple winner of Sixth Man of the Year. If his owner isn't smart enough to know that starting isn't the most important thing about fantasy value, maybe a buy-low offer is in order.
    Sunday, 12:27 am
  • Rudy Gay hands out six assists on Sat.
Rudy Gay handed out six assists against the Spurs during a 94-91 win on Saturday with 18 points, three rebounds, one steal and one block.

Advice: He did shoot just 7-of-20 from the field and has seen his field goal percentage head south recently. Gay is still filling up the stat sheet as an eight-category player, so there's nothing to worry about yet.
    Sunday, 12:00 am
  • Darren Collison has a solid 19-point game
Darren Collison scored 19 points with two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 39 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: He scored 20 points on Thursday and has been great so far this year. Nobody really thought Collison was a great pickup by the Kings especially with Isaiah Thomas being signed relatively cheap, but he's worth owning in all standard leagues and should outperform his ADP.
    Saturday, 11:57 pm
  • Boogie Down Production: Cousins scores 25 pts
DeMarcus Cousins scored a game-high 25 points against the Spurs on Saturday during a 94-91 win, adding 10 rebounds and one block on 10-of-19 from the field.

Advice: The Kings were uncharacteristically great in the paint tonight and held the Spurs to just 34 points in the paint, which was almost half of their 58. Cousins is dominating this season with the highest usage rate among big men while making 50 percent from the field. He's for real.
    Saturday, 11:46 pm
  • Kirk Hinrich scores 15 points in start
Kirk Hinrich scored 15 points in a 99-90 loss to the Pacers on Saturday to go with seven assists, two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: He didn't score in his last start, so we didn't see this one coming. Hinrich has been too inconsistent to scoop in most fantasy leagues.
    Saturday, 9:00 pm
    7:30 pm @ Por
  • Aaron Brooks has a colossal letdown
Aaron Brooks played just 18 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday with six points, two rebounds, one assist and three turnovers.

Advice: Ouch. All signs indicated Brooks was set for a big game tonight because he scored 26 points in the last game without Derrick Rose (hamstring). Rose isn't expected to be out for too long, so there's very little reason to be too attached to Brooks right now.
    Saturday, 8:58 pm
  • Jimmy Buckets indeed: Butler scores 32 points
Jimmy Butler scored a career-high 32 points against the Pacers on Saturday with six rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

Advice: The breakout is real, folks. Butler is getting to the free throw line a ton, knocking down jumpers and playing great on the defense end. After tonight's game, Butler will have first-round value in standard leagues and he's arguably been the best pick in fantasy drafts.
    Saturday, 8:52 pm
  • Gary Neal suffers a concussion on Saturday
Gary Neal suffered a concussion on Saturday and will not return to the game, finishing with four points and three boards in ten minutes.

Advice: He hit his head hard on the court right before halftime and was in visible pain, so this comes as no surprise. He will now have to rest a few days and will have to pass the league's concussion protocol before he can play again, so consider him day-to-day for now. In his absence, expect P.J. Hairston and Gerald Henderson to pick up a few extra minutes, with neither of the two being reliable enough for standard league consideration.
    Saturday, 8:50 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Gary Neal will dress against the Warriors
Gary Neal (foot) will play against the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: He's been playing through his foot issue and it didn't seem to affect him much in Phoenix on Saturday. Neal was held out of the lineup last season with the Bucks for an extraordinarily long time, but things are a little different with the Hornets. He's a deep-league option.
    Saturday, 6:11 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Jamal Crawford will come off the bench
Jamal Crawford will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: It was a surprise to see him start against the Spurs and Blazers, but the run stops at two. Regardless, Crawford's fantasy value will be just fine off the bench.
    Saturday, 6:09 pm
  • Gary Neal is questionable on Saturday
Gary Neal (foot) is questionable to face the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: He played through his foot injury on Friday and had 14 points in 25 minutes. The Hornets would need him to play minutes in the 20s with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out tonight.
    Saturday, 3:57 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Kirk Hinrich will get the start on Sat.
Kirk Hinrich will start against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: The Bulls have ruled Derrick Rose (hamstring) out, so Hinrich and Aaron Brooks will get the minutes at point guard. Hinrich has posted a usage rate of just 16.7 on the season while Brooks has turned in a usage of 26.8, so it's pretty obvious Brooks is the preferred play tonight.
    Saturday, 11:51 am
    7:30 pm @ Por
  • Jimmy Butler (ankle) probable for Saturday
Jimmy Butler (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against Indiana.

Advice: This news comes out of nowhere, and the Bulls are describing the injury as just soreness in his left ankle. Check back for updates prior to tip-off, but if Butler can't go, expect Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks, and even Tony Snell to pick up some extra minutes. Stay tuned.
    Saturday, 7:34 am
  • Neal (foot) plays and scores 14 points
Gary Neal played through a foot injury on Friday, scoring 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Neal wasn't even a sure thing to go tonight and he started off real slow, but eventually dug out a win for deep-league owners relying on him. In nine games and at 26.4 minutes per contest, he's returning top-125 value and has carved out a nice little role for himself.
    Friday, 11:39 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Dalembert goes without a defensive stat
Samuel Dalembert followed up his seven-rebound, four-assist and five-block effort on Wednesday with just four points, four rebounds and no defensive stats in 18 minutes on Friday against the Jazz.

Advice: Dalembert just can't seem to get anything right in New York and owners should wait until he shows sustained production before considering him in standard formats.
    Friday, 9:46 pm
  • Gary Neal (foot) expected to play Friday
Gary Neal (foot) is expected to play Friday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Neal doesn't have much fantasy value in a backup role, so this news doesn't mean much to owners in standard leagues.
    Friday, 4:41 pm
    4:00 pm vs Orl
  • Justin Hamilton (groin) questionable for Fri.
Justin Hamilton (groin/hip) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Hamilton is averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds through 12 minutes of action the season, so even if he plays, it won't matter for owners in standard leagues.
    Friday, 9:17 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins has 'no respect' for Barkley
DeMarcus Cousins said that he has "no respect" for Charles Barkley during a recent interview.

Advice: "I have no respect for [Barkley] and I never will," said Cousins. "We have nothing to talk about. So, yes, every time we see each other, there will never be words." Barkley has been hard on Cousins for most of his career, and Cousins apparently is holding a grudge. However, Cousins is also currently averaging 22.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 3.4 turnovers with the Kings this season, making him one of the best big men to own in fantasy basketball. So if Chuck is adding fuel to the fire, fantasy owners should be thanking him.

  • Darren Collison scores 20 in loss to Memphis
Darren Collison scored 20 points in a 111-110 loss to the Grizzlies on Thursday with two rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: He missed Tuesday due to a shoulder injury and thrived in what's usually a tough matchup for point guards. While Collison has really struggled with his jumper, no player has dished out more assists to DeMarcus Cousins, which is paramount in the SAC offense. He's a low-end No. 2 fantasy point guard.

  • DeMarcus Cousins gets a tech in big line
DeMarcus Cousins was called for his first technical foul of the season against the Grizzlies on Thursday, finishing with a line of 22 points, 12 boards, one assist, two steals and three blocks in just 31 minutes.

Advice: That means he's projected to finish ahead of his goal to have below five technical fouls on the season. Regardless, Cousins is leading big men in usage rate, providing plenty of defensive stats and is likely going to be a top-15 asset in fantasy leagues.

  • Joakim Noah plays 33 minutes in quiet game
Joakim Noah played 33 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday with six points, eight rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals.

Advice: He had a little bit of momentum coming in with back-to-back double-doubles, but the Raptors put the clamps on him in the first half with just two points and four boards. Noah's minutes were expected to be held in check and he still had a decent line, so it's all good. Continue to start him in all leagues.

  • Jimmy still has new moves: Butler nets 21 pts
Jimmy Butler's offensive game flourished again on Thursday against the Raptors, making 7-of-10 from the field for 21 points with nine rebounds, six assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.

Advice: So the preseason matters after all? Butler was one of the most impressive players in October and it's carried over into the regular season. Butler's efficiency was his only question mark and he's been able to turn in an effective field goal percentage of at least 46 in every game this season. We're not even 10 percent into the season, but his owners should feel pretty, pretty good.

  • Darren Collison (shoulder) will start Thurs.
Darren Collison (shoulder) will play and start on Thursday as the Kings take on the Grizzlies.

Advice: Collison's return to the starting lineup will send Ramon Sessions back to the bench, and owners in standard leagues can go ahead and send Sessions back to the waiver wire. Collison has gotten off to a hot start this season, averaging 14.7 points, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Get him in your lineups.
    Thursday, 3:47 pm
  • Darren Collison (shoulder) probable Thursday
Darren Collison (shoulder) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Collison was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, and all signs are pointing towards him giving it a go Thursday night. If Collison returns, Ramon Sessions will head to the bench and go back to being irrelevant in standard leagues. Stay tuned for an official update on Collison's status as we draw closer to Thursday's tip-off.

  • Samuel Dalembert blocks five shots in loss
Samuel Dalembert had two points, seven rebounds, four assists and a season-high five blocks in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: He played a season-high 27 minutes against the Magic and if he's been warming the pine on your bench, you might as well keep him there in case he starts getting these kind of minutes on the regular. He's averaging just 2.6 points over his last five games, but also 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. His lack of scoring would make it very tough for you to put Sammy D in any lineup, but he's worth a Roto look if you're desperate for blocks.

  • Jimmy Butler (thumb) officially 'probable'
Jimmy Butler (thumb) is officially listed as 'probable' for Thursday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: Butler has been playing very well lately, averaging 18.6 points on 50.0 percent shooting in the Bulls' past five games, while logging almost 40 minutes per game. It's almost certain that he'll be in the starting lineup, but it's worth mentioning that Chicago is still including him on their injury report.

  • Hamilton has a hip flexor strain
Justin Hamilton has a slight strain of his hip flexor.

Advice: He was getting minutes for the Heat with the team banged up, but he might be out of the rotation upon his return now that Chris Andersen is back. Hamilton has no fantasy value.
    Wednesday, 2:53 pm
  • Darren Collison expected to play on Thursday
Darren Collison (shoulder) practiced on Wednesday and is expected to play against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Advice: He was a game-time decision on Tuesday and was ruled out after warming up, but he will still have to play through some discomfort. Collison has been terrific and is fitting in nicely with DeMarcus Cousins as more of an off-ball guy. He should be owned in all leagues, but he might not play well on Thursday in a sub-par matchup. If you added Ramon Sessions, you can probably look elsewhere.
    Wednesday, 12:14 pm
  • Justin Hamilton (groin) out for Wednesday
Justin Hamilton (groin) is out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: He wasn't able to practice on Tuesday, and it's unclear when he will suit up again. "Ham was doing more today," coach Spoelstra said. "But he wasn't ready for contact." Owners can safely ignore him in almost all fantasy leagues now that Chris Andersen (ribs) is expected to return on Wednesday.
    Wednesday, 6:44 am
  • Ersan Ilyasova scores just two points Tuesday
Ersan Ilyasova scored just two points in Tuesday's win over the Thunder while adding five boards, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes.

Advice: He is one of the most inconsistent players in the league and we won't blame you if you want to cut ties with him. Ilyasova's days of fantasy relevancy are slowly fading and his minutes may trend downward on a rebuilding Bucks team.
    Tuesday, 8:39 pm
  • Darren Collison (shoulder) out on Tuesday
Darren Collison (shoulder) is out for Tuesday's game and Ramon Sessions will draw the start.

Advice: He was upgraded to a game-time decision earlier on Tuesday but will now sit out as he battles stiffness in his shoulder. He will likely be fine with a little rest and the injury isn't considered serious. Sessions makes for an excellent plug-and-play option while we also may get a good look at Ray McCallum. Consider Collison day-to-day for now and we will update his status as needed.
    Tuesday, 4:49 pm
  • Darren Collison (shoulder) game-time decision
Darren Collision has been upgraded to a game-time decision and he'll test his stiff shoulder during pre-game warmups before making a decision.

Advice: The injury isn't serious but Collison was listed as 'doubtful' earlier in the day, with the Kings giving him just a 25 percent chance of playing. His improved status makes Ramon Sessions a riskier fill-in fantasy option, but we're unlikely to learn Collison's status until just prior to the 8:30 ET tip-off. Stay tuned.
    Tuesday, 4:17 pm
  • Darren Collison (shoulder) doubtful Tuesday
Darren Collison (left shoulder stiffness) is being listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. Dallas.

Advice: The Kings are saying there's just a 25 percent chance that Collison suits up on Tuesday, however, the injury is not considered serious. If Collison is forced to sit this one out, Ramon Sessions would draw the start in his place and makes for an excellent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Ray McCallum would also likely see some extended run off the bench, so stay tuned for an official update on Collison's status as we draw closer to Tuesday's tip.
    Tuesday, 11:24 am
  • Justin Hamilton ruled out for Wednesday
Justin Hamilton (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: While the Heat will likely get Chris Anderson back on Wednesday, they'll have to go at least another game without Hamilton. With Chris Bosh playing big minutes and Birdman getting healthy, Hamilton doesn't hold much fantasy value upon his eventual return and can be safely left on waiver wires.
    Tuesday, 10:32 am
  • Joakim Noah admits he still has work to do
Joakim Noah said he still has work to do after Chicago's win over the Pistons on Monday.

Advice: Noah scored 13 points with 14 rebounds and six assists during the win, so he's being a little bit hard on himself in saying, "I still have work to do, but I'll get there." The big man has strung together solid back-to-back performances after missing two games with an illness, so fantasy owners looking to buy low might want to try one last-ditch effort before Noah gets back to normal.
