    • Chalmers scored 20 points and sunk four of his five three-point attempts in Tuesday's Game 6 win over the Spurs.
Recommendation: Chalmers scored 14 of his 20 points in the first half, but did hit a big three-pointer to pull the Heat within seven points at the start of the fourth quarter. Only Lebron James played more minutes for Miami, while Norris Cole didn't make it off the bench. We wouldn't expect to see much (if any) of Cole in Game 7, so look for Chalmers to take on a heavy workload again.

    • Hill finished the 2012-13 season averaging 14.2 points (44.3/36.8/81.7) with 4.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in a career-high 34.5 minutes.
Recommendation: When the Pacers were a .500 team early in the season, Hill and David West carried the Pacers. Hill was never supposed to be the team's third leading scorer, but Danny Granger's knee injury and Roy Hibbert's offensive malaise forced him to look for his shot more often. With a healthy Granger in 2013-14 and perhaps a more confident Hibbert, Hill won't be asked to carry as heavy a scoring load. But he's still more of a combo guard, so we're not expecting 7-to-8 assists per game.

    • Mills played 58 games during the regular season, averaging 11 minutes per game.
Recommendation: Mills played in a limited role for the deep Spurs' bench. He was behind fellow guards Nando De Colo and Cory Joseph for playing time. For the season, he averaged 5.1 points (on 46.9 percent shooting) and 1.1 assists. He's a contributor for three-pointers when given minutes but is often overlooked due to the Spurs' depth. Mills has a player option for the 2013-14 season that he's likely to accept to remain in San Antonio.

    • Mack appeared in 31 NBA games in 2012-13, spending time with the Wizards, 76ers and Hawks.
Recommendation: Mack, who played last season for the Wizards, was cut by the team at the end of the preseason and subsequently spent the next two months in the D-League. He was re-signed by the Wizards in December and started a couple games in the absence of John Wall and A.J. Price. The Wizards released Mack on Jan. 7, one day before his contract would have become guaranteed. He then signed a pair of 10-day deals with the 76ers before eventually landing with the Hawks in early March, where he would remain for the rest of the season. The former Butler star was not overly effective, but his shooting percentages (46.0 percent FG, 36.7 percent 3Pt) in limited minutes were encouraging. He's a free agent once again this summer and will likely have a few teams interested in his services as a third point guard.

    • Brooks has been told by the Rockets that the team will not pick up his $2.5 million contract option for the 2013-14 season at the end of the month, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Recommendation: The Rockets are trying to clear some cap room to have more financial flexibility to target a top free agent, making Brooks undesirable at that salary figure after playing only a minor role for the Rockets last season. Brooks figures to look for a backup point guard job elsewhere around the league.

    • Parker (hamstring) scored a game-high 26 points (10-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT) to go with one rebound and five assists in 36 minutes Sunday to help lead the Spurs to a 3-2 series lead against the Heat.
Recommendation: It certainly seemed like Parker wasn't as hindered by his injury as he was in Game 4, and with less than 48 hours before Game 6, the treatment Parker gets on his hamstring will be critical to his continued success in this series.

    • Terry's knee was a concern the entire 2012-13 season, as it limited him and forced cautious play, the Boston Herald reports.
Recommendation: Terry further mentioned that the Celtics' team physician recommended surgery during the regular season, but he ultimately delayed the procedure in order to play out the year. As a result, his production suffered across the board, with averages of 10.1 points (on 43.4 percent shooting), 2.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 three-pointers in 26.9 minutes. Nevertheless, he intends to be 100 percent by the time training camp begins in late September.

    • Wayns played in six games for the Clippers this season, posting 3.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
Recommendation: Wayns was signed by the Clippers at the end of March for the rest of the season, but given the team's depth at point guard, he averaged just 6.2 minutes nightly. He started the season with the Sixers and was featured in 21 games, but Wayns will likely be one of the last players on the bench should he find himself on an NBA roster next season.
