  • Larry Nance posts 13/11/1/2 line in 21 minutes
Larry Nance tallied 13 points (6-of-7 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist, and two steals in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets, playing 21 minutes.

Advice: Nance has two double-doubles on the season, and they've been recorded in the Pelicans' last two games. The backup role is a big reason he's rostered in less than 30% of Yahoo leagues, but Nance still provides top-100 per-game value in 9-cat formats. In totals, his value is just one round lower. He's worth holding onto in deeper leagues, especially for that night when starter Jonas Valanciunas struggles. JV played 19 minutes on Tuesday, scoring 10 points (5-of-9 FGs) with six rebounds and two assists, and he's ranked two rounds below Nance in per-game value. Today, 1:51 am
  • Herb Jones shines in Denver, scores 21 points
Herb Jones shot 6-of-8 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets, accumulating 21 points, four rebounds, four assists, five steals, and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Jones was excellent on both ends of the floor Tuesday night, but the offensive production stands out. The 21 points are a season-high for Jones, who had not scored 20 points or more in a game this season. The defense will be there, as Jones is one of the NBA's best defenders. But if he can provide consistent offense, especially with Zion Williamson (hamstring) sidelined, that would help the Pelicans snap out of their current funk. He's providing 10th-round value in 9-cat formats this season. Today, 1:32 am
  • C.J. McCollum scores 21 with seven assists Tuesday
C.J. McCollum accounted for 21 points (7-of-19 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets, playing 38 minutes.

Advice: McCollum has scored 20 points or more in four straight and seven of his last eight appearances, but he's shooting 40.5% from the field over the last two weeks. That's a big reason why he's providing 11th-round value over the last two weeks. Injuries have been an issue, and not because of McCollum himself. Brandon Ingram and Naji Marshall are among those who have missed time recently, and Zion Williamson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. That has impacted the quality of shots that McCollum gets and the Pelicans as a whole. One of the West's biggest surprises to begin the month, New Orleans has lost nine straight games. Today, 1:23 am
  • Brandon Ingram struggles but posts full stat line
Brandon Ingram shot 5-of-17 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets, tallying 16 points, four rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: Ingram was back in the starting lineup after sitting out Sunday's loss to the Bucks, and he struggled to get going offensively. In addition to the low field goal percentage, he was responsible for a team-high four turnovers. Over the last two weeks, he's averaging 4.7 turnovers per game while shooting 29.8% from the field. With Zion Williamson (hamstring) still sidelined, Ingram is of even greater importance to a team that has now lost nine straight games. He'll look to turn things around Thursday night in Dallas, and another off night could be on the horizon with the Pelicans closing Week 16 with a back-to-back against the Lakers and Kings. Today, 1:14 am
  • Bones Hyland plays five minutes vs. Pelicans
Bones Hyland scored two points (2-of-2 FTs) and dished out one assist in Tuesday's 122-113 win over the Pelicans, playing five minutes.

Advice: Hyland's name has come up in trade rumors recently, as the Nuggets are reportedly looking for a frontcourt defender. With the second-year guard slipping further down the pecking order due to the steady presence of Bruce Brown and the emergence of rookie Christian Braun, fantasy managers who have Bones rostered must be rooting hard for a deal to be made. And it was reported by TNT's Chris Haynes that Hyland would be open to a move in order to get more playing time. One would hope that Tuesday would be the low point, as Bones missed both of his field goal attempts, but the lack of playing time doesn't bode well for him. Today, 12:59 am
  • Jamal Murray sinks seven triples, scores 32 points
Jamal Murray finished Tuesday's 122-113 win over the Pelicans with 32 points (10-of-21 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, and seven 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Game by game, Murray appears to be returning to the level he was playing at before tearing his ACL in the spring of 2021. He's providing 2nd-round value in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks, averaging 25.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.8 3-pointers in 36.0 minutes per game. During this six-game run, Murray's shooting 49.5% from the field and 93.1% from the foul line. The turnovers can occasionally be problematic, as he racked up five Tuesday night, but the overall production has more than made up for that. With Denver finishing Week 16 with a back-to-back, Murray may only be available for two of the Nuggets' remaining three games. Today, 12:49 am
  • Masterclass: Nikola Jokic posts 26/18/15/1/1 line
Nikola Jokic shot 10-of-14 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Tuesday's 122-113 win over the Pelicans, scoring 26 points with 18 rebounds, 15 assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Advice: Jokic did record five turnovers on the night, but the overall performance was elite. He leads the NBA with 16 triple-doubles and trails only Anthony Davis in season-long value in 9-cat formats. After struggling in Saturday's showdown with Joel Embiid, Jokic got back on the right track in a big way. Denver plays three more games in Week 16, including a back-to-back to end it. Hopefully, there are no injury management days in the cards for Jokic because he's been an incredible asset for managers who have him rostered. Today, 12:37 am
  • Khris Middleton plays 20 minutes vs. Hornets Tues.
Khris Middleton played 20 minutes in Tuesday's 124-115 win over the Hornets, scoring 18 points (4-of-10 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs) with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Middleton's minutes limit increased slightly on Tuesday, with the 20 minutes being the most he's played since returning to action. And with Middleton's minutes being restricted, Pat Connaughton has remained in the starting lineup. Connaughton played 29 minutes, scoring eight points with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer. He shot 1-of-8 from three, and the fantasy value is limited when those shots aren't falling. Connaughton is worth holding onto as long as Middleton's minutes remain restricted, but we may be approaching the end of that setup. Today, 12:14 am
  • Jrue Holiday grabs 13 rebounds vs. Hornets Tuesday
Jrue Holiday accumulated 15 points (6-of-20 Fgs, 2-of-3 FTs), 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in Tuesday's 124-115 win over the Hornets.

Advice: Holiday had a rough night shooting the basketball, but he made up for it by doing more on the glass. Only Giannis (18 rebounds) had a better night rebounding-wise, and the two steals didn't hurt, either. Holiday's providing 4th-round value in 9-cat formats for the season and 3rd-round value in 8-cat (punting turnovers). He'll look to build on his effort in the non-scoring categories when the Nuggets host the Clippers on Thursday.                    Today, 12:02 am
