    • Jrue Holiday records double-double in Game 2 win
      Jrue Holiday recorded a double-double on Thursday with 15 points (6-of-7 FGs), three rebounds, 10 assists and three triples against the Pacers in Game 2.

      Advice: Holiday did most of his work in the first half of this game, but after being relatively quiet through the first two rounds, he turned in his second straight excellent performance. After having his highest scoring game of the playoffs in Game 1, Holiday followed that up with his first double-double of this postseason. That helped them take a 2-0 lead in this series, which leaves them two wins away from the NBA Finals.       Irving ended with 30 points (12-23 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one block over 40 minutes during Wednesday's 108-105 win over the Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

      Advice: Even though Luka Doncic grabbed most of the headlines following an impressive performance in the series opener, there's no question Irving also played a pivotal role in the Mavericks' win. Irving has had a few subpar showings in the current postseason run, but he's scored 22 or more points in three of his last five appearances, so he seems to be peaking at the right time for a Dallas team that's only three wins away from a berth in the 2024 NBA Finals.     • Kyrie Irving comes out hot, finishes with 30 PTS
      Kyrie Irving shot 12-of-23 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 108-105 win over Minnesota, tallying 30 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one blocked shot in 40 minutes.

      Advice: Irving missed all three 3-point attempts in Wednesday’s series opener but was excellent in the paint. The Mavericks guard shot 8-of-13 in the paint, including 5-of-7 inside the restricted area. And after consistently getting off to slow starts during Dallas’ second-round series against Oklahoma City, Irving set the tone on Wednesday. He shot 11-of-14 from the field in the first half, scoring 24 of his 30 points.     • Jrue Holiday tallies 28 points, eight assists
      Jrue Holiday played 48 minutes in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over Indiana, amassing 28 points (10-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and four 3-pointers.

      Advice: Holiday has seemingly found his groove after struggling to begin this postseason. He’s shot 54.5% or better in each of Boston’s last four games, and the 28 points scored in Tuesday’s Game 1 were a postseason high. Holiday was also effective as a distributor and rebounder, with five of his seven boards coming on the offensive end of the floor. With Derrick White (15/6/9/2/1 with three 3-pointers) shooting 5-of-13 from the field, Holiday scoring as efficiently as he did gave the Celtics a welcome boost. Game 2 is on Thursday night.     • Kyrie Irving extends closeout record to 14-0
      Kyrie Irving finished Saturday’s 117-116 win over the Thunder with 22 points (9-of-23 FGs), two rebounds, three assists, and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

      Advice: As in the series’ first five games, Irving picked up the production after halftime on Saturday. He made seven of his nine field goals in the second half, finishing as one of three Mavericks with at least 22 points. The win pushed Irving’s record in closeout games to 14-0, the best mark in NBA postseason history. The chemistry between him and Luka Doncic has been strong, and the supporting cast has come into its own. Dallas advances to the Western Conference Finals, where they will play Denver or Minnesota.     • Evan Mobley scores game-high 33 points in Game 5
      Evan Mobley shot 15-of-24 from the field and 3-of-5 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 113-98 loss to the Celtics, tallying 33 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocked shots in 43 minutes.

      Advice: With Jarrett Allen again sidelined, Mobley did his best to help the Cavaliers force a Game 6. He fell short in his efforts, but this was a good performance for the third-year big man. Statistically speaking, Mobley’s 2023-24 season went as planned. He had a Yahoo ADP of 41.7 and produced at that level in 8- and 9-cat formats, ranking behind only Donovan Mitchell among Cavaliers players. However, Mobley only appeared in 50 regular season games due to injury. While capable of providing greater value to fantasy managers, Mobley sharing the court with Allen may limit his ceiling.       Mobley provided 33 points (15-24 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 43 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 loss to Boston in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Mobley once again stepped up in the starting lineup for the shorthanded Cavaliers, putting forth his best game of the series despite the team coming up short as Cleveland's season come to an end. Mobley led all players in Wednesday's contest in scoring while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and notching a team-best pair of blocks. Mobley concluded the semifinals by averaging 21.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 62.7 percent from the field. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:50 pm

      Irving posted nine points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and nine assists in 41 minutes during Monday's 100-96 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: The Mavericks have welcomed the emergence of P.J. Washington in the series against the Thunder, as Kyrie Irving has struggled badly so far. He's failed to score in double digits in two of four games versus OKC and is shooting a mere 35.7 percent from three-point range. Irving needs to take on a bigger role on offense if the Mavericks want to move to the Western Conference Finals, especially considering how banged up Luka Doncic is. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:11 am
