      Dereck Lively II shot 4-of-4 from the field and 1-of-1 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over Minnesota, amassing nine points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 27 minutes.

      Advice: As has been the case on most nights since the trade deadline, Lively and starting center Daniel Gafford combined to provide solid production for the Mavericks in Wednesday’s series opener. The rookie out of Duke was more effective as a rebounder and shot blocker, and his ability to make plays out of the short roll is why Lively played more than Gafford. And DG was solid in his time on the court, accounting for 10 points, nine rebounds, and one blocked shot. While Lively and Gafford averaged similar minutes in the second round (23.0 per game for the former, 23.5 for the latter), don’t be surprised if the former plays a little more in this series.       Tatum amassed 36 points (12-26 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 46 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime win over Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Everyone knows what Tatum can do offensively, and he's now scored at least 33 points in three of his last four games. However, it was his defense on Tyrese Haliburton that was ultimately the difference in this game. Tatum was clutch in overtime, and Boston will now head into Game 2 with a ton of momentum.       Siakam contributed 24 points (12-23 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 12 rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 42 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime loss to Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: This was one of the best games of the postseason for Siakam, and he's now scored at least 20 points in four straight outings. He's had quite an impact in these playoffs, posting averages of 21.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 am

      Pascal Siakam shot 12-of-23 from the field in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime loss to Boston, scoring 24 points with 12 rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 42 minutes.

      Advice: In the final games of the Pacers’ second-round series win over New York, Siakam did most of his damage in the mid-range and restricted areas, which was also the case on Tuesday. He missed both 3-point attempts and did not attempt a free throw. In addition to the turnovers, of which Indiana had 21, the charity stripe is where the Pacers lost Game 1, as Boston outscored them by a 24-9 margin. Siakam isn’t elite at getting to the line, as he averaged 4.2 attempts per game with the Pacers during the regular season (and 4.0 per game against New York). But he and the Pacers will have to do a better job of getting those opportunities to score when the clock is stopped, as Boston leads all playoff teams in free throws made differential (+5.8).       Jayson Tatum shot 12-of-26 from the field and 10-of-12 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over the Pacers, scoring 36 points with 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 45 minutes.

      Advice: Tatum led all scorers with 36 points, and his 3-pointer with a little over 42 seconds remaining in overtime gave Boston a four-point lead. From there, the Celtics did what they needed to do to sew up Game 1. Tatum shot 2-of-8 from three but was considerably more efficient inside the arc. Both teams had some miscues down the stretch, with Boston benefitting from Indiana’s fourth-quarter errors to force overtime.     • Isaiah Hartenstein goes scoreless in Game 7 loss
      Isaiah Hartenstein missed both of his shot attempts in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, going scoreless with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 30 minutes.

      Advice: The Knicks didn’t count on Hartenstein for consistent scoring, but his production dropped considerably as their second-round series progressed. The 7-footer went scoreless in Game 7 and did not attempt more than three shots in any of the final four games. Give Myles Turner and the Pacers credit for taking away Hartenstein’s beloved floater, and they did a better job of keeping him off the glass after iHart grabbed 17 rebounds in Game 5. Hartenstein earned himself a nice payday once he hits free agency this summer. The question is whether or not the Knicks will offer a contract that is large enough to keep him in the fold.       Pascal Siakam finished Sunday’s Game 7 win over the Knicks with 20 points (8-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

      Advice: Siakam was one of the few players on the Pacers roster with prior experience in a Game 7, and his leadership helped set the stage for Sunday’s 130-109 victory. The brief return of OG Anunoby did not impact Spicy P, as the Knicks forward could barely move due to his strained hamstring. Siakam was once again efficient offensively, hitting a few 3-pointers while doing most of his damage in the mid-range.       Advice: Lively continues to play well above his age, producing when it mattered most as the Mavericks eliminated the Thunder. Despite coming off the bench, Lively played the majority of the center minutes, recording his second straight double-double. Dallas will face either the Timberwolves or the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, and either team will provide Lively with elite opposition at the center position.
