  • Ray McCallum expected to sign with Pistons
Ray McCallum is expected to sign with the Pistons.

Advice: Detroit has been in the market for a third-string point guard, but McCallum would have to beat out Lorenzo Brown in order to take that job. Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith are locked in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively on the depth chart. There is no fantasy spin here. Rotoworld.com 56 minutes ago

  • Anderson Varejao (back) headed for exam
Anderson Varejao is traveling to the United States in order to have his back "tested and evaluated."

Advice: Varejao is dealing with back pain, but that's all we really know at this point. If it proves to be a serious issue, Golden State could suddenly be in the market for another backup big man. The Warriors have just rookie Damian Jones behind Varejao and projected starter Zaza Pachulia. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:27 am
  • Victor Oladipo believes a breakout is coming
Victor Oladipo implied that he's prepared to take his game to the next level with the Thunder.

Advice: "I feel like you’re going to see a lot more from me; I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface of how good I really can be," Oladipo said. "I’m getting better every day and I’m looking forward to [showing] it. I can still grow way, way more." Without Kevin Durant in the picture, the opportunity for Oladipo to show out alongside Russell Westbrook is certainly there. We wouldn't be afraid to "reach" for him in upcoming fantasy drafts. • Jae Crowder feeling like part of the core now
Jae Crowder was appreciative of the fact that the Celtics included him in the free agent recruiting process.

Advice: "Obviously, that's a big step," Crowder said. "I can't say no to that. I took it in. I was very humbled and grateful for the opportunity to show that I'm a big part of the puzzle." Clam Crowder is clearly starting to feel like a part of Boston's core, and it's worth reminding everyone that he's signed through the 2019-20 season at approximately $28 million total. What a bargain. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:33 am
  • Durant: Westbrook wasn't factor in departure
Kevin Durant said that Russell Westbrook was not a factor in his departure from the Thunder.

Advice: "Nah, it wasn't [a factor in him leaving]," Durant said. "I mean obviously [that alleged subplot is] coming out now [that] I'm gone, all these reports are going to come out. I can't really control it, but I just made a decision based on where I wanted to go, man. It was as simple as that. We can think about all the reasons and the factors and what factored in, but it was simple. That's where I wanted to play basketball." Durant also added that he hasn't spoken to Westbrook since informing him of his decision to join Golden State, and you can be sure that Russ already has his red pen out waiting to circle the Warriors on the schedule.
