  • Kosta Koufos excited to play for George Karl
Kosta Koufos said that he is looking forward to playing for George Karl in Sacramento this upcoming season.

Advice: "[Karl is] one of the best coaches in the NBA," said Koufos. "He gets the best out of his players and I'm very excited." Koufos will be challenging rookie Willie Cauley-Stein for minutes in Sacramento's frontcourt, and it’s possible he begins the 2015-16 season as a starter for the Kings. We'll be watching this position battle closely over the course of the preseason, but even as a starter, it's unlikely Koufos would offer much fantasy value to owners in standard leagues. Cauley-Stein offers much more upside, and is worth a late-round selection in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com 44 minutes ago
  • Kelly Olynyk will start for Canada on Tuesday
Kelly Olynyk will be in the starting lineup for the Canadian National Team on Tuesday as they take on Argentina in the FIBA Americas tournament.

Advice: We can officially put to rest any concerns about Olynyk's minor knee injury with this news. However, he'll be competing for playing time with Amir Johnson, Jared Sullinger and David Lee next season, so there's no reason to give him a second thought in standard fantasy leagues. • James may not sign long-term until 2017
LeBron James may not sign a long-term deal with the Cavs until the summer of 2017.

Advice: James is one of the unique talents around the league that can safely sign short-term deal after short-term deal until he feels the timing is right to lockup a long-term contract. The salary cap is expected to reach well over $100 million by 2017, meaning James could potentially sign a max-contract that would pay him roughly $35 million a season. James has a player option for next season, but he will almost assuredly opt out next summer, in order to maximize his potential earnings. He'll be a top-8 selection on draft day. • Cory Joseph excited for FIBA Americas
Cory Joseph said he's excited to play in the FIBA Americas tournament.

Advice: Joseph and Team Canada will first play Argentina on Tuesday and the 24-year-old is looking forward to the start of the tournament. "For sure we’re itching to play the games now," Joseph said on Monday. "We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time now." While Joseph will see an increase in minutes from last season, he's unlikely to put up numbers that will warrant a spot on standard-league fantasy rosters. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:00 am
  • Clippers sign F/C Chuck Hayes
    Clippers sign F/C Chuck Hayes.

Advice: After the Rockets backed out of a deal to sign him last week, the 32-year-old will now head to Los Angeles to join the Clippers. While he'll help provide the Clips with veteran leadership off the bench, he only played 8.8 minutes per game last season and shouldn't be drafted in standard fantasy leagues.
