  • George (calf) leaves game early on Tuesday
Paul George suffered a left calf strain during Team USA's win over China on Tuesday.

Advice: The game was a blowout, so George obviously didn't return. The report adds that Team USA sat him down for precautionary reasons, so he should be considered day-to-day moving forward. George finished with six points (two 3-pointers), two assists, one board and one block in 10 minutes. Carmelo Anthony led USA with 20 points and five boards, DeMarcus Cousins double-doubled with 21 points and 11 rebounds and Kevin Durant chipped in with 13 points in 19 minutes. • Wizards officially re-sign Bradley Beal
The Wizards officially announced the re-signing of Bradley Beal on Tuesday.

Advice: The contract is reportedly for five-years at $128 million, and while the talent certainly is there, Beal's ability to stay on the court is a serious concern. Stress reactions in Beal's right leg have constantly put him on the sidelines for prolonged stretches throughout his career, and last season he only managed to get out there for 55 games. He did, however, produce averages of 17.4 points, 2.9 assists, 1.9 triples and 1.0 steal per game last season, so he's on the radar as a risk-reward, late-round target. • Victor Oladipo seeking a max extension
Victor Oladipo is reportedly seeking a max extension from the Thunder.

Advice: Why wouldn't he? The No. 2 overall pick of the 2013 NBA draft has made significant improvements to his game each year in the league, and he finished as a top-10 player in standard 9-cat leagues after the All-Star break this past season. However, OKC may be leery to hand out Oladipo the full max as it would impact their salary cap situation during the 2017 offseason, an offseason in which Russell Westbrook will become an unrestricted free agent. The deadline for an extension is Oct. 31. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:30 pm
  • Atkinson wants Bennett to focus on rebounding
Brooklyn coach Kenny Atkinson believes Anthony Bennett will help the Nets with his rebounding and versatility on the offensive end.

Advice: "Rebound the ball, run the court and really help us on the defensive end with his length and size and speed. Then the other parts of the game, that’ll come," Atkinson said. "I think he’s proved with Team Canada he can shoot the three, I think he’s proved that he can drive it, I think he can proved he can be a versatile offensive player, but with his package, we want to minimize it a little instead of expand it." Bennett is looking forward to a fresh start in Brooklyn and said that he's already feeling his confidence return. He's not guaranteed a role with his new team, so he needs a strong training camp. • Extension looks 'unlikely' for Otto Porter
According to Wizards reporter J. Michael, a contract extension for Otto Porter is unlikely.

Advice: This means that Porter would become a restricted free agent next summer if the two sides don't reach an agreement. Porter will now have the chance to bet on himself in the hopes of landing a massive deal in 2017 -- the salary cap is expected to rise again. Coach Scott Brooks is a "big believer" in Porter's potential, so he could have a big season if he can hold off Kelly Oubre for the starting small forward role. He averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 triples last season, shooting 47.3 percent from the field. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:00 am
