Player Notes

  • Mason Plumlee looks great yet again
Mason Plumlee scored nine points with 14 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal against the Clippers on Friday.

Advice: He went blow for blow with DeAndre Jordan in the paint. In the last five games of this series, Plumlee averaged 8.8 points, 14.8 boards, 6.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.2 blocks and 2.0 turnovers. The Blazers' trade with the Nets for basically Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has worked out nicely for them. He'll be very important against the Warriors. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:36 pm
  • DeAndre Jordan tweaks ankle, drops 15 & 20
DeAndre Jordan tweaked his ankle in the fourth quarter on Friday and did return, finishing with 15 points, 20 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two turnovers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He rolled his right ankle in the fourth quarter as he stepped on Mason Plumlee's foot. Jordan did come out of the game right away, but he didn't go to the locker room. His ankle injury is very unlikely to affect his offseason program. Jordan led all postseason players in rebounds per game and was second in the regular season. His summer figures to be slightly more uneventful this year. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside plays 28 minutes
Hassan Whiteside (hand, thigh) played 28 minutes against the Hornets on Friday with 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.

Advice: He was slightly limping at times when play was stopped, but he looked fine during the game action. Whiteside has cooled off in his last three, averaging 10.3 points, 8.7 boards, 3.3 blocks and 2.0 turnovers in 28.5 minutes. It could be due to the injury because his minutes haven't really jumped up in the postseason. He'll likely be the top option at center for DFS on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:32 pm
  • Bismack Biyombo not a key this time
Bismack Biyombo scored two points with 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: Biyombo with four smaller players lineup was the saving combination in Game 5, but it didn't work at all tonight. Jonas Valanciunas was in foul trouble again tonight, which helped Biyombo's playing time. Expect Biyombo to be in the low 20s for minutes in Game 7. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:42 pm
  • Jonas Valanciunas scores 14 points in loss
Jonas Valanciunas played 26 minutes against the Pacers on Friday during a Game 6 loss, scoring 14 points with nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Advice: The Raptors have to figure out how to get Valanciunas the ball more while keeping his fouls down. Valanciunas' production has fallen off as the series has gone on, but the Raptors may turn to him for more on Sunday. Of course, we've been saying that for basically a whole season.
