  • Gary Harris hits two triples in Game 7 defeat
    Gary Harris (hamstring) accounted for six points (2-of-4 FGs), two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes in Sunday’s Game 7 loss to the Cavaliers.

    Advice: Questionable for Sunday’s game after sitting out Game 6 with a strained hamstring, Harris started and played 27 minutes. While he did make two 3-pointers, the overall impact was muted. Unfortunately for Harris, injuries have been a significant storyline since the nine-year pro arrived in Orlando via the Aaron Gordon trade. He played 54 games this season, finishing ranked well outside the top 200 in 8- and 9-cat formats. Harris will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and regardless of where he could land, fantasy managers don’t need to consider selecting him in most drafts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
  • Franz Wagner endures brutal Game 7 performance
    Franz Wagner shot 1-of-13 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s 106-94 loss to the Cavaliers, scoring six points with six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 34 minutes.

    Advice: Playing in the biggest game of his brief NBA career, as were many of his Magic teammates, Wagner struggled mightily on Sunday afternoon. He could not make anything happen offensively, missing all five of his 3-point attempts while shooting 1-of-8 from two. Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro certainly deserves some credit for that, but this performance was a severe departure from the norm for Wagner. Based on the Yahoo ADP (66.6), 2023-24 went as expected for Franz, who finished the regular season as a 6th-round player in 8- and 9-cat formats. Sunday wasn’t a good way for him to go out, but Wagner will be one of Orlando’s solid building blocks moving forward.   • Caris LeVert chips in with 15 bench points Sunday
    Caris LeVert accumulated 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 29 minutes in Sunday’s Game 7 victory over Orlando.

    Advice: Cleveland went into the halftime break trailing by ten (53-43), with LeVert and Donovan Mitchell being why the home team remained within striking distance. LeVert scored 10 of his 15 points in the first half, taking a back seat to Max Strus and Darius Garland (and Mitchell, of course) in the second. While he did score 15 points in Games 3 and 7, LeVert was responsible for 22 total in the other five games. The Cavaliers will need more consistent production in the second round against Boston, with Game 1 of that series set for Tuesday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm
  • Max Strus scores 11 second-half points in Game 7
    Max Strus finished Sunday’s Game 7 victory over the Magic with 13 points (5-of-9 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

    Advice: After scoring seven points or less in the series’ first four games, Strus hit double figures in the final three. He was critical during the second half of Game 7, scoring 11 of his 13 points to (along with Darius Garland) give Donovan Mitchell the offensive assistance Cleveland’s star guard desperately needed. Garland had a rough Sunday overall, shooting 3-of-13 from the field and finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer. While he and Strus did what was required to get past Orlando, both must be better in Cleveland’s second-round series against Boston. Game 1 is on Tuesday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm

  • Back in starting lineup
    Okoro will start Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.

    Advice: With Jarrett Allen (hip) out, Okoro started Cleveland's Game 5 win and posted eight points (2-10 FG), four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes. Okoro was replaced in the starting lineup by Marcus Morris for Game 6, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff has flipped them again ahead of Game 7. As a starter this season (43 games), Okoro has averaged 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 30.1 minutes per game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:33 am
  • Career high in Game 1 victory
    Edwards supplied 43 points (17-29 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 42 minutes during Saturday's 106-99 victory over the Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Edwards did it all to lead Minnesota to a Game 1 win on the road, posting a new playoff career high in scoring while leading all players in Saturday's contest in points scored in an offensive showcase. Edwards, who scored 16 points in the first quarter alone and capped the game with 12 points in the final quarter, became the first Timberwolves player to post two consecutive 40-point playoff games. If Edwards can continue to pace Minnesota the way he did in Game 1, the Timberwolves will be in a good position to steal another game on the road in Game 2. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:11 pm
  • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
    According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

    Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019.   • Carries Mavericks to Game 6 win
    Irving provided 30 points (11-19 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 42 minutes during Friday's 114-101 victory over the Clippers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

    Advice: Irving led the Mavericks on offense and was a consistent weapon alongside Luka Doncic, reaching the 30-point mark in three of the six outings in the first-round series against the Clippers.   • Scores 18 points in Game 6 defeat
    George amassed 18 points (6-18 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 42 minutes during Friday's 114-101 loss to the Mavericks in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

    Advice: George was asked to carry the Clippers offensively in the absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee), but he ended the series on a sour note, as he couldn't reach the 20-point mark in three of his last four appearances. In fact, George surpassed the 22-point mark just once in the six contests against the Mavericks, and his numbers throughout the series were disappointing. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point range. That marked a clear decline compared to his regular-season figures, and it might be fair to wonder if the Clippers are going to bring him back for 2024-25 or if they might look at potential trade options during the offseason.
