DRAFT RULES
***********************************************************
1. [DRAFT POOL] will include all incoming NBA rookies and players who are not named keepers for each new season when a draft is held.
2. [DRAFT POSITION] will be random. Nominating order does not give a team any benefit over another.

KEEPER RULES
***********************************************************
1. [NO LIMIT ON # OF KEEPERS] as long as it fits within your drafting bidding budget.
2. [TO DESIGNATE A KEEPER] it will cost:
=+$5 to last season's drafted cost for 1st year as keeper.
=+$10 to last season's drafted cost for 2nd year as keeper.
= Undrafted player: $6
= Drafted player: (last season’s drafted cost + $5)
*All players eligible as a keeper before the 2019 rule change of limiting assigned keepers to 2 consecutive years will still follow old rules and can be kept at +$5 per year until the maximum of 3 year(s) owned runs out. (legacy rules)
3. [MAX LENGTH] a team can designate a player as a keeper is, 2 consecutive seasons after a player is drafted..
= If a player has been assigned as a keeper by a manager for two consecutive seasons, he is no longer eligible to be a keeper for that team.

STARTING BIDDING BUDGET RULES
***********************************************************
1. [$200 STARTING BIDDING BUDGET] for any team with keepers.
2. [$210 STARTING BIDDING BUDGET] for all new teams and any returning teams without keepers.
3. [MUST ALLOW $1] for each player not selected as a keeper.
= Example: If you choose to keep 5 players, the most you can spend is $191 leaving $1 for the 9 remaining roster spots.

FREE AGENT BUDGET (FAB)
***********************************************************
1. [$100 FAB] is the amount each team will start with at the beginning of each new season to spend on free agents in replace of normal waivers.
= $6 FAB will be awarded to League Champ the next season.
= $2 FAB will be awarded for the top 2 Regular Seasons teams next season.
2. [FAB MAXIMUM = $110] and will include any amount gained from being division/league champ or previous season surplus over $100.
= Any team with a surplus above $100 at the end of the season will be able to carry that amount to the next season.

1. [DROPPED PLAYERS] will retain his drafted cost for the entirety of that year.
2. [UNDRAFTED PLAYERS] picked up from the free agent pool will cost $6 to designate as a keeper the following season. ($1 + $5 = $6)

TRADE RULES
***********************************************************
1. [A TRADED PLAYER] will retain their draft cost from the current year for his new team.
= A player cannot be traded back to the same team in the same season.
= Traded players who have already been declared as keepers, can now only be kept at 1 additional year at +$5 for the 2nd year on the new team.
= Players traded in the season they were drafted, can still be kept by the new team for +$5 for Year 1 as a keeper & +$10 for Year 2 as a keeper
2. [50%] minimum drafted cost applies to all trades.
= Example: If one side of a trade totals $40, the other side must be within $20-$60 no more or no less.
3. [BALANCING TRADES WITH THE 50% RULES] will apply to all trades, in order for it to go through.
= Using your Free Agent Budget (FAB) to meet the 50% rule, scaled. No maximum.
TIER1: $1/$0.5 FAB for trades $20 and under
TIER2: $1/$1 FAB for trades $21-30
TIER3: $1/$2 FAB for trades $31-40
TIER4: $1/$4 FAB for trades $41-50
TIER5: $1/$8 FAB for trades $51 and over
= Example: (Team 1) trades a $40 player for a $15 player from (Team 2), In order for the trade to go through, Team 2 has to make up $5 in salaries (40/2=20-15=$5) to pass the 50% rule.
a. Team 2 can either add more players to balance out the trade to fall within 50%.
b. Team 2 can use FAB to balance out the trade at the cost of $2 FAB per $1 (TIER 3 Scaled)
= If option B is chosen, -$10 FAB will be subtracted from Team 2 and added to Team 1.
= The amount used in FAB to meet the 50% rule will be subtracted from the lower salaried team and added to the higher salaried team.
