LOTTERY DRAFT

New rule starting next year. I have been trying for years to get the league so it is even for everyone so long as you play your team. So to further this effort next year we will have a Lottery Draft. What is the Lottery Draft? We now have 18 teams in the league and 8 will make the playoffs and 10 will not make the playoffs. The 10 teams that do not make the playoffs will get an extra pick as a Keeper. This pick will not cost any keepers funds. The pick will occur after keepers and trades are set. All the free agents that are left each team will get a pick. The 10 teams not in the playoffs will be ranked 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, 17, 18 from the previous year. Each teams number will be put in a box and drawn out of the box at random to determine the order of the Lottery pick. Team 9 well be entered 1 time, Team 10 2 times, Team 11 3 times and so on. Team 18 will be entered 10 times. This gives the last place team a better chance of getting first pick. This will be done several weeks before the draft.

Please choose Keepers by the specified date of Thursday, August 31st, 2023 EST. You can keep up to 4 players. You have $150 of funds to select your keepers. Whatever money is left over you will get ½ of that added to your draft funds of $75. If you go over your keeper funds the amount of overage will be deducted from your draft funds $75. If you need help please ask. I will do my best to help you. Each team will also receive up to ½ of their unused draft funds from last year not to exceed $25

Pre-Draft Trade Rule
You can trade 1 player for 1 player before the draft. All trades must be made by the keeper deadline. Traded player will not count against your keeper funds or your draft funds. The players traded before the draft will count as a keepers, however it will not affect your keeper funds or your draft funds. Remember each manager can trade up to 4 players or none at all keep 1 to 4 players or none at all. This is each manager’s desecration as to what is best for his or her team. The trade must be posted on the messenger where all can see and accepted on the messenger by both managers involved in the trade. Once posted the trade is final. This must be done by the keeper deadline. Up to 4 trades per manager allowed pre-draft but you may not trade more than 1 time with the same manager.

The Draft
The draft is a live auction draft set up for Fri, Sep 22, 9:45 pm EDT. Each manager has $75 to draft with. If there are any keeper funds left remember ½ of the remaining keeper funds will be added to your draft funds. Anything over the $150 keeper funds will be subtracted from your draft funds.
