The way the consolation bracket has always worked in this league since season 1 is that the teams that place high in the consolation bracket get the better draft picks to avoid teams from tanking matchups at the end to get a better draft slot next season. So those who succeed in the consolation bracket will get a better draft pick placement next season. Also the 5th/6th place game will work out in the same fashion for the winners bracket.
Here is how the draft works based on your final placement in the standings as to where you will draft next season...
1st - 14th (Last pick in the draft)
2nd - 13th
3rd - 12th
4th - 11th
6th - 10th
5th - 9th
12th - 8th
11th - 7th
10th - 6th
9th - 5th
8th - 4th
7th - 3rd
14th - 2nd
13th - 1st pick in the draft
I know this looks kind of odd but it actually is designed to make every game count for something. When you play and win in the post season no matter whether your in the Winners Bracket or the Consolation Bracket it works out better for you in next seasons draft.
