Okay, so after today the salary cap will be suspended with a couple of exception. Three teams are still under the cap (YAY Basketball-17, Salary Cap Victum-19, WI$E UP-18). Those teams must be under the cap with 20 players before they can start adding players without regard to salary. The second exception applies to all teams. The players currently on waivers must clear waivers before they can be added without regard to salary. In other words, if you make a waiver claim on these players the transaction must result in your team being under the cap. This will also apply to any players dropped and picked up from waivers throughout the season. This means that I will maintain the salary spreadsheet throughout the season. This means, in effect, that if you don't use waivers at all you can ignor the cap, but if you aquire a player through waivers you must be under the cap.
All teams are currently locked from adds/drops. I will unlock all teams at around 10pm CST tonight. -

The draft is over. the salary cap is set at $154,000,000. Teams over the cap are Sick Boyz, Penguins, YAY Basketball, and Formidable Opponent. Check the spreadsheet in the Salary Cap Info message board post for the exact numbers. Deadline to get under the cap is 10/24. Teams picking up players may go over the cap temporarily, but all teams must be under the cap by 10/24

Getting ready to start the draft. Trades can happen now, players, draft picks. You don't have to worry about the salary cap yet, however you can look at where you're at and see your situation. If you are going to have to drop salary you could think about trades. If you are formulating your plan about which players to drop I recommend waiting to drop until after the draft. Then dropped players will go on waivers and teams will be forced to use a waiver to get a dropped player. If they are dropped before or during the draft then they could be picked in the draft. Also, keeping the higher salaries until after the draft means a higher salary cap since those players salaries will be included in the calculation. Here is the draft order. Let's start the draft on October 2nd.
