  • Welcome back Silver Screen and Rollers. It's almost time for fantasy basketball again as Lakers media day has come and gone. Every returning manager played in the league last year. We did say goodbye to ABB and The_Machine, who were two inactive managers last year, and just don't have the time for it this year. So we go from 16 teams to 14, which will force me to make a change in the divisions; going from 4 different ones, to 2.

    I've also made some other changes:

    1. We are going back to 3PT%, instead of 3PTM. The change takes extra value away from the guys at the top, and adds value to guys who were probably on waivers last year.

    2. With the teams dropping to 14, I added an extra bench player to each roster. With 16 teams and 10 roster spots, 160 players were drafted. With 14 teams & 11 roster spots, that number only drops to 154, which should make the waiver wire basically the same as it has been in the past.

    3. The Division names were changed to the 1st place and 2nd place finishers last year. Also, the divisions were created by taking last years final standings into account, and making them as evenly as possible without putting rivals in the same division.

    4. There will be less waiver money to earn throughout the year this year. There will be no weakly payouts for injured players. You will only receive a payout if the player is deemed out for the season. If the player is currently in the top 35, you will receive $3 for every remaining week. Top 100, you will receive $2 for every remaining week. Outside the top 100, $1 for each remaining week.
    Rivalry weeks will be the same as last year: $2 for every category you win by.
    Teams in the bottom half of the standings (not in a playoff spot) will receive cash infusions after weeks 10 and 15 (ranging from $5-$11)

    5. The schedule - each manager with play each team in their division twice, their rival three times (weeks 6,12 & 18), and teams in the other division once.

    *Everybody should have the same rival as last year except Britney and Marty, who lost their rivals.

    6. IL spot has been removed

    1. I will not be posting a FanPost on SS&R. The league chat room through yahoo will be the place where all business is handled.
    2. Draft Lottery time (Thursday, Sept 28 @ 7:00am MDT) - emails will be sent out to verify order, and I will post it in the league chat room.
    3. Draft time (currently set for Saturday, Oct 14 @ 8:30pm MDT) - this gives us over 2 weeks for draft pick trades.
    4. Draft order (will be randomly decided by fftoolbox's 'fantasy draft order generator' and will be revealed via email and in yahoo chat room).
