Commish Notes

logo Commish WTF Maginka?
  • Welcome back Silver Screen and Rollers. It's almost time for fantasy basketball again as Lakers media day has come and gone. We have one new manager this year. Raison d'Basketball took over for Bald Billy, who wouldn't respond to any emails I sent.

Here is the basic layout for the league:

    1. Teams consist of G, G, F, F, C, Util, Util & 4 bench spots. Scoring categories are FG%, FT%, 3PT%, Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks & TO's.

    2. The Division are named after the 1st place and 2nd place finishers last year. Also, the divisions were created by taking last years final standings into account, and making them as evenly as possible without putting rivals in the same division.

    3. Each team is given $100 in waiver money at the beginning of the season, with a few oppurtunities throughout the season to earn more.

    4. Waivers go through on Monday and Thursday. Only 2 waiver pickups allowed per week .

    5. There will be no weekly payouts for injured players. You will only receive a payout if the player is deemed out for the season. If the player is currently in the top 35, you will receive $3 for every remaining week. Top 100, you will receive $2 for every remaining week. Outside the top 100, $1 for each remaining week.

    6. You can earn waiver money during rivalry weeks (week 6, 12 & 18): $3 for every category you win by.

    7. Teams in the bottom half of the standings (not in a playoff spot) will receive cash infusions after weeks 10 and 15 (ranging from $8-$14)

    8. Each manager with play each team in their division twice, their rival three times (weeks 6,12 & 18), and teams in the other division once.

    9. There is no IL spot.

    10. You can trade draft picks. They must be submitted by 12:00 PST on Monday, October 15th (draft day). You can post them in the Yahoo app chat or on the SS&R FanPost.

If you have any questions or concerns, please bring it up. We can make changes to the rules or settings to the league if we want to.

    ---------------------------------------------

That's all I have for now. Welcome back, and good luck.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BRITTNEYM WHO WAS OUR CHAMPION LAST YEAR!
