Our League is highly competitive, lively and exciting – reason for its success. So it's all about managers showing mutual respect and fair play.
So here's the buzz...
--- R U L E S ---
ADDING/DROPPING PLAYERS
Every manager will have a maximum amount of 3 moves per week during the entire season - avoiding an add/drop (aka sweatshop) strategy or dubious moves.
TRADES/VETOES
Keep an open mind when judging a trade early on and don't forget that some managers may over/under value their players. DO NOT take a strategic view which YOU will benefit from ;)
- The two managers involved in a trade need to justify in a post their reasons for it in a post, if they believe the deal could be questioned by other managers.
If a manager believes the deal is lopsided, veto it and post your reason in a single post (keep it simple without the need to over-scrutinise)
- If a manager for a legitimate reason needs to pull out of a deal within the 24hrs of a trade being accepted, then they in that time need to advise the league of their reason for it and the league can - if they decide to – veto the deal.
- In the NBA when a player is signed or traded and subsequently fails a medical / has a serious injury, the deal is usually called off – like Fantasy NBA. So if a trade is pending and a player(s) involved in the trade suffers a heavy suspension (15+ games) or a severe injury (NOT day-to-day), the trade itself will be cancelled, unless BOTH managers involved still want to continue with the deal. This protects managers as would happen in real life.
- Don't forget that you can now trade future draft picks too - enjoy!
INACTIVE TEAMS
If a team does go inactive and makes no moves or rotations for a while (weeks/months), then the Commish will "Leave the strongest lineup intact and only modify starters with bench players if they suffer a severe injury. But players will NOT be added from the FAs or will there ever be any daily rotations".
TRASH TALK
Nothing wrong with a bit of banter to add some fun to our league. But anything which is deemed to be very offensive, threatening or abusive will be removed and the manager will spend time in the sin bin and if it's repeated, be suspended from our league.
