  • Jared Dudley gets just 13 minutes Saturday
Jared Dudley played just 13 minutes in Saturday's blowout loss to the Warriors, hitting 1-of-4 shots for two points, two rebounds and one assist.

Advice: This was basically his worst game of the season and a little surprising, as he had 17 points and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday. The lopsided score had a lot to do with it, but the bottom line is that Dudley has been maddeningly inconsistent this season. We'd rather own P.J. Tucker. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
  • Dwight Powell scores career-high 17 in win
Dwight Powell hit 7-of-11 shots off the bench and finished Saturday's surprising win over the Bulls with a career-high 17 points, eight rebounds and one assist.

Advice: With Dirk Nowitzki's season potentially hanging in the balance, Powell is someone to keep an eye on. Yes, Nowitzki says he'll be fine, but continues to remain out indefinitely. Powell is averaging 9.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks over his last five games, so he's far from a must-own player. But he's also averaging 21 minutes over that stretch and played 28 of them tonight. Put him on your radar. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:20 pm
  • Derrick Williams gets a DNP-CD
Derrick Williams was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: That's cold. Williams was available to play, but coach Erik Spoelstra just went with other guys. Williams may get playing time another day, but this has to sting with only eight guys playing tonight. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:12 pm
  • Josh McRoberts scores 13 points
Josh McRoberts scored a season-high 13 points with two rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: From inbounds specialist to main power forward. McRoberts could stick in the starting lineup until guys like Justise Winslow (wrist) can return. He could disappear very soon, but McBobs has some short-term value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm
  • Troy Williams scores seven in win
Troy Williams scored seven points with six rebounds, two assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: The other Troy stole the show with Daniels dropping 31 points, but Williams was still really solid. He's earned all his playing time with defense, he runs the floor for coach David Fizdale, and Williams is really the only starting option next to Tony Allen. Williams should have some value this week with four games and Chandler Parsons (knee) out for at least another week. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:38 pm
  • Luol Deng posts a big game vs. Memphis
Luol Deng scored a season-high 18 points with five rebounds, one block, four steals and two 3-pointers 38 minutes.

Advice: He saw a nice bump in minutes because Larry Nance (knee) was out and Jose Calderon (hamstring) missed most of this game, which pulled Ingram to be more of a perimeter guy. Deng has only played 23.9 minutes per game on the season before tonight, so he may only have a short-term boost. He could play over 30 minutes with the Lakers missing so many guys. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Will Barton scores 20 in 34 minutes
Will Barton played through is sore ankle again on Saturday and hit 8-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 34 minutes.

Advice: He had 17 points, seven boards and five assists on Friday and the fact he made it though back-to-back games should mean the ankle injury is behind him. And with Gary Harris (foot) still out and Jamal Murray as cold as ice, Barton should keep rolling until further notice. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
  • Tim Hardaway scores 15 off Hawks bench
Tim Hardaway Jr. hit 6-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in Tuesday's embarrassing 128-84 loss at Toronto on Saturday.

Advice: Hardaway has quietly scored in double figures in four straight games and with Kyle Korver struggling as badly as any time in his career, Hardaway is a candidate to replace the struggling shooting guard in the starting lineup. The reeling Hawks have lost nine of their last 10 games and have been blown out by a combined 80 points in their last two games. Something's got to give for coach Bud in the ATL, and bringing Korver off the bench and starting THJ might be the easiest move for him to make. If THJ becomes the starter at some point, he might be worth stashing. But if you've been holding Korver in a deep league and need to make a move for a warm body, picking up THJ might be worth a flier until we see what happens here. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm
  • Dario Saric busts out with 21 and 12 in loss
Dario Saric matched his career highs with 21 points and 12 boards against the Celtics on Saturday, adding two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

Advice: He did get plenty of minutes at small forward tonight despite coach Brett Brown saying it wasn't the best matchup to do so against the Celtics. Saric was as cold as ever coming into this game, but maybe the new role is just what he needs -- there is still no prognosis on Robert Covington (knee). We'd obviously like to see him do it again after a two-week slump, but he's worth a look if your league is quick with the pickups and you have something to cut. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:58 pm
  • Will Barton will play on Saturday
Will Barton (ankle) will play on Saturday against the Jazz.

Advice: The Nuggets put him on the report as probable, but he was never in doubt. Barton should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:54 pm
  • Doug McDermott getting better
Coach Fred Hoiberg said Doug McDermott (concussion) has been cleared for contact.

Advice: He will practice with the D-League Windy City Bulls on Monday and Tuesday, if no setback. McDermott will likely be out for a couple more games due to suffering two concussions last month. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:11 pm
  • Nick Young out of the walking boot
Nick Young (calf) is out of his walking boot.

Advice: There's no word of his progressions on his strained calf, so he is still expected to miss the next 1.5-3.5 weeks. With Young out, it's been Brandon Ingram moving over the the two while the other guards have seen a few more minutes. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:39 pm
    Injured

  • Brandon Rush inactive
Brandon Rush is inactive for Saturday against the Hornets.

Advice: The Wolves not using Rush is part of the reason Zach LaVine has played 42.0 minutes per game in his last three. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:17 pm
    Out

  • Dario Saric could play some small forward
Dario Saric could play some small forward for the 76ers while Robert Covington (knee) is out.

Advice: Hey, a positive for The Homie. Saric has really hit the rookie wall, so maybe a shift to a slightly different role can help him. He's not worth owning in standard leagues right now, but we'll let you know if anything changes after the game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:01 pm
  • Derrick Williams will play vs. Blazers
Derrick Williams (back) will play against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: He was listed as questionable and is good to go for tonight. Williams was losing minutes to guys like James Johnson, but he should get playing time tonight due to the depth issues at forward. Even if he starts, he'll be a risky option in almost any league. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:46 am
  • Will Barton (ankle) probable for Saturday
Will Barton, Danilo Gallinari, and Darrell Arthur are listed as probable for Saturday's game vs. Utah.

Advice: Barton had missed 12 of the Nuggets previous 15 games, but looked great in his return to the Denver lineup on Friday night. He finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes. Better yet, he seems to have avoided aggravating his ankle injury. Barton should be locked and loaded in fantasy lineups going forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:58 am
  • Brandon Rush (toe) questionable for Saturday
Brandon Rush (sprained right big toe) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Rush has been sidelined for the past two contests with a sprained right big toe. He's averaging just 1.6 points this season and hasn't played more than eight minutes in a game since November 5th. He holds no fantasy value and can be left on waivers. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:12 am

  • Corey Brewer gets 13 minutes
Corey Brewer played 13 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday with two points, one assist, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: Trevor Ariza (back) was hurt in this game, which could help Brewer. He's really fallen down in the wing pecking order, but coach Mike D'Antoni may opt to go with Brewer in the first unit to keep some continuity. Just keep an eye on Brewer with his low upside. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:33 pm
  • K.J. McDaniels scores two
K.J. McDaniels scored two points in four minutes against the Nuggets on Friday.

Advice: He only saw garbage time, but McDaniels could be called upon to step up for Trevor Ariza (back). There's no need to add him in almost any league, but he could get in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:30 pm
  • Darrell Arthur scores eight in nine minutes
Darrell Arthur scored eight points in nine minutes against the Rockets on Friday with four rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: Even with Nikola Jokic (wrist) out, Arthur still couldn't get decent run. Arthur can stay on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:40 pm
    GTD

  • Will Barton scores 17 points in 33 minutes
Will Barton hit the ground running in his return to the starting lineup on Friday, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

Advice: Well, he looks like himself again. Barton had been battling his ankle sprain since Halloween and only played in three games since then -- he also was awful in those three with a 21.4 field goal percentage. Simply put, Barton has to be picked up everywhere after this one. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:39 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 11 points off bench
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 11 points with two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday vs. the Pistons.

Advice: He missed all six of his triples, but he started the second half and he's certainly a candidate to start over the struggling Kyle Korver on Saturday vs. the Raptors -- coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game that he will "look at everything." THJ is just a speculative pickup in deeper formats for now and it's worth noting that he was coming off a 21-point effort against the Suns. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:02 pm
  • Derrick Williams (back) questionable Saturday
Derrick Williams (back spasms) is questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Blazers.

Advice: He said earlier that he was hopeful to play, so that's good news for a Heat team that's not expecting Luke Babbitt to play. If D-Will is ultimately ruled out, James Johnson and Josh McRoberts will hold down the fort at PF. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:04 pm
  • Mudiay, Barton, Gallo, Faried & Nurk starting
Emmanuel Mudiay, Will Barton, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic will start against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: We'll see how many minutes Barton gets in his return. He's worth a pickup in standard leagues while he will take minutes away from all the other forwards and wings. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:53 pm
  • Dario Saric plays 16 minutes in loss
Dario Saric played 16 minutes against the Magic on Friday with two points, and two turnovers.

Advice: He's really struggling and may have hit the rookie wall. In his last five, Saric averaged just 5.4 points, 4.0 boards, 2.4 assists, 0.4 blocks and 0.8 treys on 25.6 percent from the field. The 76ers have played him at small forward at times, so maybe he gets a bump if Robert Covington (knee) needs to miss games. Saric is more of a drop than an add right now. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:32 pm
  • Will Barton is active as expected
Will Barton (ankle) will play against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: The earlier report from Chris Haynes of ESPN was as good as gold, so this is not a surprise. Barton may be limited in his first game back, but he's worth a pickup in most leagues. He will take minutes away from Jamal Murray, Jameer Nelson and Wilson Chandler. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:30 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (illness) is available Friday
Darrell Arthur (illness) is available to play on Friday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: With Nikola Jokic (wrist) out, Arthur will likely be in the rotation. He hasn't been healthy all season, so his minutes will likely be pretty limited. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:26 pm
    GTD

  • Doug McDermott (concussion) out Fri. and Sat.
Doug McDermott (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday night vs. the Cavs and Saturday night in Dallas.

Advice: The Bulls are hopeful McDermott will be cleared for contact on Friday. However, coach Fred Hoiberg wants to see him get a couple workouts in before being cleared for a game. Isaiah Canaan and Nikola Mirotic have been the biggest beneficiaries of McDermott's absence and should continue to see increased workloads this weekend. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:21 am
  • Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night
ESPN is reporting that Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Barton started off the year strong, averaging 18 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes over Denver's first three games of the season. However, he has missed 12 of the Nuggets last 15 games due to this nagging ankle injury. It is unknown if Barton will be on a minute restriction Friday. If you have room on your roster and he is still floating around your league's waiver wire, now is the time to nab him. Barton finished last season ranked among the top-85 overall fantasy players, according to BasketballReference.com. Barton's return will likely eat into the minutes of Wilson Chandler and Jamal Murray. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:03 am
  • Derrick Williams (back) hopeful to play Sat.
Derrick Williams (back spasms) is hopeful he will able to play Saturday in Portland.

Advice: The Heat announced prior to Thursday's game that Williams would be unavailable due to back spasms that ultimately were confirmed as the reasons he also had been held out of Wednesday's victory over the Nuggets. Williams said that in addition to the back spasms, he also is dealing with shoulder and neck pain. "Kind of right before the [Denver] game, actually, just warming up kind of just made the wrong movement and it just stiffened up on me," he said. However, Williams is hopeful of being in uniform Saturday. Miami may only have nine healthy players. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:28 am
  • Troy Williams struggles with his shot
Troy Williams made 2-of-13 from the field for five points with two rebounds, one assist, three steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer against the Magic on Thursday.

Advice: It was a bad game for Williams and he didn't close the game out. He continues to play good defense, so coach David Fizdale isn't likely to take him out of the lineup. Williams should hold value for deep leagues over the next 7-10 days while James Ennis (calf) and Chandler Parsons (knee) are out. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:10 pm
  • Derrick Williams in locker room w/ back spasm
Derrick Williams, who has fallen out of the Heat rotation recently, is in the locker room with back spasms on Thursday night, according to the broadcast team.

Advice: Williams got a DNP-CD in his last game and lost his starting job to Luke Babbitt recently. Babbitt was also injured tonight (hip flexor), so red-hot Wayne Ellington got the start in the second half. Ellington's the pickup here, along with James Johnson. Ellington led the Heat in the first half with 14 points and two 3-pointers after scoring 22 and nine points in each of his previous two games. Johnson had 10 points at the half and has been playing well, and both are worth a close look with the Heat down to just seven healthy players right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 pm
  • Dwight Powell scores six with eight boards
Dwight Powell scored six points with eight rebounds, one block and one steal in 24 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: Thank goodness he looks to be out of his slump. In his last five games, Powell has made 57.7 percent from the field with averages of 7.6 points, 4.0 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks. He's likely going to remain in his role as the backup big man with around 20 minutes regardless of who is out on a given night -- he did get four minutes at power forward tonight. He's only an option in deep leagues right now, but his playing time may increase later in the year. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:50 pm
  • Darrell Arthur probable for Friday
Darrell Arthur (illness) is probable for Friday against the Rockets.

Advice: He missed Wednesday due to an illness and should be back. Arthur won't be playing much while the Nuggets are somewhat healthy at the four and five. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:29 pm
    GTD

  • Will Barton (ankle) likely to play on Friday
Will Barton (ankle) is likely to play against the Rockets on Friday night.

Advice: He's been limited by his ankle injury dating back to Halloween, playing in just three games at 21.0 minutes per outing in that span. Barton has said he wants to be 100 percent before he gives it a go, so maybe that's the case. Since he's been out for the last three, Jameer Nelson and Jamal Murray have both improved. Plus, Wilson Chandler has played more minutes at the three. Barton's playing time is uncertain, so he's not as strong of a pickup this time around. He can get hot, so he's worth a long look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:30 pm
  • Doug McDermott out for Friday night
Doug McDermott (concussion) will not play against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: There's not much of an update here. McDermott has still not been cleared for contact and doesn't have a target date. Isaiah Canaan has been the most consistent bench perimeter guy while Nikola Mirotic has seen some bright spots. Hopefully, McDermott can make it back next week. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:46 am
  • Brandon Rush questionable for Friday vs NYK
Brandon Rush (toe) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks.

Advice: Rush looks to be a game-time decision with his toe injury, but he can be left on waivers in fantasy leagues regardless of his status. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:58 am
    Out

  • Jared Dudley (foot) posts 17 points Wednesday
Jared Dudley (foot) returned vs. the Hawks on Wednesday, scoring 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting with three 3-pointers, two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Advice: Dudley missed Sunday's game but it looks like a minor ailment that won't limit him going forward. Phoenix relies on two-point field goals for 60.0 percent of their scoring (sixth-highest in the league), but three-point shots account for just 20.7 percent of their scoring (third-lowest in the league). Dudley's shooting should be critical, in other words, but he's a borderline option in most leagues while Devin Booker and P.J. Tucker are healthy. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:53 pm
  • Josh McRoberts starts without leaving a mark
Josh McRoberts started at PF for the Heat on Wednesday, finishing with one point, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one turnover in 16 minutes.

Advice: McRoberts missed all four of his shots and he was the only Heat player to post a negative plus-minus rating during tonight's road win. Miami is also likely to get some healthy players back in the near future, including Justise Winslow, so there's no reason to grab McBob in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:49 pm
  • McRoberts, McGruder & Babbitt starting vs DEN
Goran Dragic, Rodney McGruder, Luke Babbitt, Josh McRoberts and Hassan Whiteside will start against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: It's another new lineup for the Heat, who look to be without Josh Richardson (ankle) for this one. McRoberts likely won't play too much after playing just seven minutes on Monday. He's not a reliable fantasy option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:25 pm
  • Brandon Rush out again for Wednesday
Brandon Rush (toe) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Advice: His toe sprain is minor, but Rush isn't a lock for the rotation anyway. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:04 pm
    Out

  • Darrell Arthur ruled out for Wednesday
Darrell Arthur (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday night against the Heat.

Advice: With Danilo Gallinari (thigh) back, the Nuggets won't need Arthur as much. Wilson Chandler should slide over to the four more tonight and should still get plenty of minutes. Arthur isn't worth stashing in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:32 pm
    GTD

  • Will Barton (ankle) out for Wednesday night
Will Barton (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday against the Heat.

Advice: The Nuggets may have brought Barton back too soon last week, so they'll be extra careful. Barton's role could also diminish upon his return because of Jamal Murray playing very well. Barton isn't quite as appealing as a stash these days. Jameer Nelson should also benefit with Barton out tonight.Daily Slant: Even with Danilo Gallinari back in the fold, Wilson Chandler should still see ample run with the Nuggets thin on the wing. Chandler has seen huge run in games that have remained competitive and has poured in at least 25 real-life points in his last two games, and he appears to be the Nuggets most reliable contributor offensively. Mike Malone's rotations can always be volatile, so the Nuggets are best utilized in GPPs. The Heat are ranked sixth or better in defensive efficiency and points allowed per game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:29 pm
  • Nick Young (right calf) will miss 2-4 weeks
Nick Young (strained right calf) will miss the next 2-4 weeks.

Advice: An MRI confirmed his injury, which occurred in the first quarter on Tuesday night. Young was having a very solid season with career highs in field goal percentage, free throw percentage and 3-point percentage, but now his fantasy owners probably have to cut him. While he's out, the Lakers will have to lean more on Jose Calderon and Marcelo Huertas until D'Angelo Russell (knee) can return. Both Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams should be very busy while more shots should go to rookie Brandon Ingram. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:49 am
    Injured

  • Doug McDermott (concussion) out Wednesday
Doug McDermott (concussion) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, as expected.

Advice: "Every case is individualized," Fred Hoiberg said. "You look at it based on what their symptoms are, and Doug, unfortunately has two of them in this early portion of the season, so he’s just not ready yet." He's yet to be cleared for contact, so for now, we'll be considering him doubtful for Chicago's upcoming back-to-back set Friday vs. Cleveland and Saturday vs. Dallas. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:00 am
  • Jared Dudley (foot) available to play vs. ATL
Jared Dudley (foot) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Dudley missed Sunday's game due to soreness on the ball of his left foot, but he was back at practice on Tuesday and should step right back into his 25-minute reserve role tonight. With Dudley active, P.J. Tucker's minutes will likely fall closer to the 30-minute mark. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:50 am
  • Nick Young (Achilles) out Wednesday vs. CHI
Nick Young (right Achilles) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: The Lakers haven't yet released the results of Young's MRI, so we won't be speculating on the length of his absence until that information is made available. With Young on the sidelines Wednesday night, Jordan Clarkson will more than likely move into the starting lineup, and he'll get all the run he can handle with D'Angelo Russell (knee) also unavailable. Lou Williams should also see an uptick in value, as he won't have to share the floor with a teammate that steals his passes tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:31 am
    Injured

  • Darrell Arthur (illness) sits out shootaround
Darrell Arthur (illness) did not participate during shootaround and he remains questionable for Wednesday's game against the Heat.

Advice: Arthur sitting out shootaround is a pretty good indication that he won't be playing tonight. He's not worth owning anywhere. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:22 am
    GTD

  • Will Barton (ankle) doubtful for Wednesday
Will Barton (left ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Heat.

Advice: Barton was able to go through Tuesday's practice, so while he'll likely be spending third straight game on the sidelines Wednesday night, it does appear that he's getting close. With Barton out, Jameer Nelson will have another opportunity to start with Jamal Murray being asked to do more with the second unit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:12 am
  • Nick Young (Achilles) sporting a walking boot
Nick Young (right Achilles strain) was spotted leaving the Smoothie King Center wearing a walking boot.

Advice: Young was also able to put pressure on his foot while limping around the Lakers' locker room after Tuesday's game, and he was in high spirits, although Uncle P is eternally optimistic. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI once the Lakers arrive in Chicago, but for now, we'll be considering him doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. If he's out, Jordan Clarkson will get all the burn he can handle and Brandon Ingram will see some increased opportunity with the second unit. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:06 am
    Injured

  • Nick Young (Achilles strain) won't return
Nick Young (right Achilles strain) will not return on Tuesday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Young needed the help of his teammates to get back to the locker room and the Lakers ruled him out for the game after just a few minutes. Young will have an MRI on Wednesday and the Lakers will provide an update at that time. His status for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls isn't looking great right now. Jordan Clarkson is looking at heavy minutes if Young misses additional time. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 5:25 pm
    Injured

  • Nick Young goes to locker room Tuesday
Nick Young (right leg) left Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans and went to the locker room. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 5:19 pm
    Injured

  • Darrell Arthur (sick) questionable Wednesday
Darrell Arthur (illness) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Heat.

Advice: Arthur seems to always find a way to pop up on the injury report, but he's not a meaningful part of the rotation anyway. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:26 pm
    GTD

  • Doug McDermott (concussion) not yet cleared
Doug McDermott (concussion) has not yet been cleared for full-contact practice, so it appears he will miss Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: McDermott has to be symptom-free and pass all required tests in order to progress through the league-mandated concussion protocol. He has missed six straight games, but appears to at least be headed in the right direction. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:14 am
  • Troy Williams scores nine points in start
Troy Williams made his third start in a row on Monday vs. Charlotte, scoring nine points (4-of-9 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs) with two rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes.

Advice: After the rookie scored a career-high 18 points vs. the Heat on Saturday, Memphis coach David Fizdale praised him for his efforts. "He is another kid that stays ready. He is not afraid of the moment," Fizdale said. "He works really hard. He had a great summer. He really took his spot on this team. We are so decimated now at the wing position. I threw him in there and he took advantage of the situation." He's been a little inconsistent, but he's playing 28.7 minutes per game over his last three and is on the radar in deeper formats. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:17 pm
  • Doug McDermott cleared for non-contact work
Doug McDermott (concussion) has been cleared for non-contact work and shooting.

Advice: He's been out for a few weeks and still doesn't have a clear return date, but this is a step in the right direction. Prior to going down, McDermott was averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 triples in 23.7 minutes per game, so he's only worth stashing in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:57 am
  • Nick Young (toe) returns with 17-point game
Nick Young (toe) returned in style on Sunday with 17 points on 6-of-12 field goals, including 4-of-5 shooting from downtown.

Advice: Young slotted into his normal starting SG spot, as coach Luke Walton seems pleased with the backcourt rotation he's established early in the season. He didn't do much beyond scoring tonight, adding just one rebound and one steal, but he remains a viable late-round option in most formats. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 9:48 pm

  • Tim Hardaway Jr. struggling as Hawks slide
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored seven points in garbage time on Sunday, adding one rebound, one block and one turnover in 13 minutes.

Advice: Hardaway Jr. has had some nice moments this year, but he's a combined 4-of-17 from the field in his past three games. As long as the Hawks are at full strength, there's no reason to touch him outside of deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 9:42 pm
  • Dwight Powell gets five steals in 26 minutes
Dwight Powell came off the bench on Sunday for four points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and a career-high five steals in 26 minutes.

Advice: Powell tied a Mavericks record for most steals in a game by a center, the position he was playing in a small-ball attack vs. the Pelicans tonight. His efforts helped snap a brutal eight-game skid and he's averaging a steady 1.3 steals per game this year, but he's done little else to recommend himself in 12-team formats. • Nick Young (toe) returns to action Sunday
Nick Young (toe) will start vs. the Hawks on Sunday.

Advice: His return sends Jordan Clarkson back to the bench, and Young's owners should feel free to deploy him as usual tonight. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:53 pm

  • Dario Saric posts minimal line in 20 minutes
Dario Saric scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting Sunday, to go with four boards, three assists, two 3-pointers, one block and an unfortunate four turnovers in 20 minutes off the bench.

Advice: The arrival of Ersan Ilyasova has basically crushed Saric's upside, and through the first 17 games of the year the rookie ranks well outside the top-200 with averages of 9.2 points, 6.1 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.2 triples and 2.1 turnovers per game. There's a chance he could turn things around after the All-Star break, but that's a long ways away, and given his minimal upside he's just not worth owning in standard leagues at the moment. • Jared Dudley (left foot) will not play Sunday
Jared Dudley (left foot) will not play on Sunday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: The severity is not known, but the injury leaves the Suns shorthanded at forward with T.J. Warren (head) out for a while. P.J. Tucker and Dragan Bender should both see an uptick in minutes off the bench, but neither player is worth adding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 10:54 am
  • Troy Williams scores career-high 18 points
Troy Williams scored a career-high 18 points against the Heat on Saturday, adding three rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: He was awesome in his second NBA start. Williams' defense should keep him in the lineup and he's shown better offensive output than expected. Additionally, ESPN reports that the Memphis staff views him as an Andre Roberson-type with better offense. Williams should get a big opportunity in the next couple weeks while James Ennis (calf) and Chandler Parsons (knee) are on the shelf. He's still only worth a look in deep leagues. • Troy Williams starting over Troy Daniels
Troy Williams is starting over Troy Daniels on Saturday.

Advice: This move was expected with Williams looking good on Friday and Daniels having a tough time. Although, coach David Fizdale could still change his mind. Williams is only worth a look in extremely deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 4:56 pm
  • Nick Young back at practice
Nick Young (toe) was back at practice on Saturday.

Advice: Coach Luke Walton said Young should be back for Sunday against the Hawks. The X-rays on his toe were negative, so there is nothing structurally wrong with his toe sprain. Young has played above almost all expectations as the starting shooting guard and has been worth owning in standard leagues to this point. That said, he's likely to cool off and is only a borderline hold. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 12:56 pm

  • Troy Williams gets 20 minutes vs. Heat
Troy Williams played 20 minutes against the Heat on Friday with nine points, six rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He may have earned more minutes with the starters having a tough time out there tonight. Even in a best-case scenario, Williams is likely only going to be used situational. If for some reason Tony Allen does sit on Saturday, Williams could get over 30 minutes. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 10:01 pm
  • Dario Saric scores just four points
Dario Saric scored four points with seven rebounds, three assists and three turnovers in 22 minutes against the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: He's in another bad shooting slump over his last three. In that span, he's made just 18.8 percent from the field with averages of 3.3 points, 5.3 boards, 1.7 assists and 0.7 treys. His minutes appear to be capped at 24 because Ersan Ilyasova is playing well in the first unit and coach Brett Brown barely plays them together, so his upside isn't what it used to be. He's probably not worth owning in shallower formats or for owners needing a change. There will be upside later in the year, though. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 8:00 pm
  • X-rays negative on Nick Young's toe
X-rays taken on Nick Young's toe came back negative.

Advice: This confirms that he's day-to-day. While Young didn't know if he would be able to return on Sunday vs. the Hawks, coach Luke Walton said he was hopeful. Expect Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams to benefit the most while Young is out. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 7:16 pm

  • McDermott is not symptom free yet
Doug McDermott (concussion) is "still having symptoms" but is "getting better," according to coach Fred Hoiberg.

Advice: He's not going to be able to progress through the concussion protocol until he is symptom free. Plus, McDermott having two concussions in a month suggests the Bulls will be extra careful. They'll use more of Denzel Valentine and Isaiah Canaan to help out in the second unit. Rotoworld.com Nov 24, 11:53 am
