  • Wesley Matthews (hip) will not return Sunday
Wesley Matthews (right hip strain) will not return to Sunday's game against the Lakers.

Advice: Matthews asked to come out of the game with 1:16 left in the second quarter and was sporting a noticeable limp on his way to the locker room, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out for the remainder of the game. He'll end his evening with 13 points, three triples, two boards, two assists, one steal and one turnover in 14 minutes, and for now, we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. • Report: CHI actively shopping Nikola Mirotic
The Bulls are reportedly actively shopping Nikola Mirotic.

Advice: The Bulls are clinging to the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference seeding, and they're hoping a roster shake up can boost their spot in the standings. Mirotic could technically see an uptick in value if he lands in a situation where he can start, but even when he's starting, consistency is always an issue. If Mirotic does end up getting traded and the Bulls don't bring another big back, Taj Gibson and Bobby Portis would see a boost in value. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:06 pm
  • Nick Young (knee) will start Sunday vs. DAL
Nick Young (knee) will start Sunday vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Young suffered a hyperextended left knee on Friday, but played through it, and there's no word on a minutes limit for tonight's game. He is wearing a protective sleeve on his knee, but he should be fine and is safe to activate anywhere you have him. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:35 pm
  • Luol Deng, Young starting on Sunday vs. DAL
Luol Deng (wrist) and Nick Young (knee) will start Sunday vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Deng will be returning from a two-game absence, and Brandon Ingram, Young, Julius Randle and Timofey Mozgov will join him in the starting five. Deng hasn't played very well over the past month, and with Larry Nance (knee) also getting back to the court tonight, he's not a strong pickup in most settings. Ingram has been playing really well lately, and after flirting with a triple-double the last time he started at point, he makes for an intriguing DFS play today. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:22 pm
  • Aaron Gordon struggles w/ shot in loss to GSW
Aaron Gordon was held to eight points on 4-of-14 shooting Sunday, to go with three rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one turnover in 34 minutes.

Advice: While Golden State's excellent defense is partly to blame here, there's no denying that Gordon has been consistently inconsistent this year, and if that awkward frontcourt stays in place in Orlando Gordon's rest-of-season outlook won't look great. The only positive here is that Gordon has seen his usage rate jump to 22.0 over the past two games sans Evan Fournier (heel) and Jodie Meeks (thumb), and he could see another small usage bump if D.J. Augustin (ankle) misses time. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:07 pm
  • Klay Thompson scores 21 points w/ seven treys
Klay Thompson scored 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting Sunday, to go with seven 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist and three turnovers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Thompson torched Orlando from beyond the arc, scoring all 21 of his points from distance and missing just two of those nine attempts. This was also the second time the Splash Brothers each drained seven triples in the same game, a feat that no other pair of teammates has ever done more than once. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:50 am
  • Kevin Durant scores 15 points with full line
Kevin Durant posted his 17th double-double of the season on Sunday, racking up 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one 3-pointer, three steals, two blocks and one turnover in 29 minutes.

Advice: If there’s one negative thing we could say about Durant, it’s that he’s been a pretty awful screen setter for the Dubs this season. Luckily, screen setting is not a category in fantasy hoops, and in all that statistical categories that matter, The Duranchula is an absolute monster. He's hitting career-highs in boards (8.5), blocks (1.7) and field goal percentage (54.6) which are just a few reasons why he ranks No. 1 overall this year. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:30 am
  • Draymond Green struggles in win over ORL
Draymond Green couldn't get his shot to drop during Sunday's win over the Magic, going 1-of-7 from the field on his way to six points, 10 boards, four assists and three turnovers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Serge Ibaka made life difficult for Green in this one, but his owners can fully expect a bounce-back performance with a much more favorable matchup against Miami on Monday. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:27 am
  • Rudy Gay (Achilles) to have surgery Monday
Rudy Gay will undergo surgery to repair his ruptured left Achilles tendon on Monday.

Advice: Gay has already been ruled out for the season. The Kings have lost five straight games and are in danger of falling out of the playoff hunt, and they will have to rely on Garrett Temple and Matt Barnes to fill the void left by Gay. He was expected to decline his player option for the 2017-18 season, so it will be interesting to see if this injury changes his plans. We won't have a timetable until Monday afternoon at the earliest. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:36 am

  • Danilo Gallinari (ankle) probable for Sunday
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game vs. the Wolves.

Advice: When a player is probable on the injury report in Denver they are usually a lock to play, but just keep in mind that this is second night of a back-to-back set. Gallinari's ankle issue has lingered all week, but he has been playing well and had 18 points with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes on Saturday. Juancho Hernangomez will be in the rotation if Gallo is held out. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:16 am
  • Gary Harris (ankle) questionable for Sunday
Gary Harris (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Wolves.

Advice: He was said to be targeting a return on Tuesday, but he now has an outside chance to play against the Wolves. If Harris decides to give it a go, that will lower the ceiling of Will Barton and Jamal Murray could lose minutes. Keep in mind that Emmanuel Mudiay (back) is out, so that might be why Harris is thinking about giving it a go. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:14 am
  • Andre Iguodala could be rested on Monday
Andre Iguodala could be rested on Monday vs. the Heat.

Advice: He's going to play on Sunday vs. the Magic and could see a couple more minutes with Shaun Livingston resting, but the Warriors are contemplating giving Iggy the day off on Monday. Their final decision likely hinges on the workload he sees vs. the Magic. If he's rested, Ian Clark and Patrick McCaw would be candidates to see a bump in minutes. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:41 am
  • Evan Fournier (heel) out again on Sunday
Evan Fournier (heel) will not play on Sunday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: His return is not "imminent" and it sounds like the Magic are prepared for him to miss additional time -- the Magic signed Anthony Brown to a 10-day contract to provide some emergency depth on the wings. C.J. Watson will draw another start at shooting guard, but fantasy owners can ignore him for now after he scored five points in 31 minutes on Friday. Expect to see a lot of two-PG lineups with Elfrid Payton and D.J. Augustin getting a boost. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:23 am
  • Magic sign Anthony Brown
The Magic have signed Anthony Brown to a 10-day contract.

Advice: Brown was cut by the Lakers during the preseason and had a short stint with the Pelicans this season. He averaged 3.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 triples in 15.9 minutes per game in nine appearances in New Orleans, so his upside is obviously pretty low. Even with the Magic banged up on the wings, Brown is not a viable fantasy pickup. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:10 am

  • Jabari Parker punished for talking to media
Jabari Parker was punished on Saturday for violating a team rule that prohibits disclosing locker room discourse to the media.

Advice: The Bucks held a private team meeting on Friday in which Parker voiced "his frustration with the lack of togetherness," but then he revealed to the media what happened in the locker room which was against team rules. The Bucks have lost five straight games, but his benching during the first quarter on Saturday was likely a one-time thing. Parker is fully expected to return to the starting lineup on Monday vs. Houston. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:06 am
  • Ben Simmons (foot) to have final scan Monday
Ben Simmons (foot) will have a "final scan" on Monday according to 76ers GM Bryan Colangelo.

Advice: While an official timetable has not been released, Simmons' return is coming "soon enough" and Chris Haynes of ESPN reported that he's expected to debut shortly after the All-Star break. 76ers coach Brett Brown hinted earlier in the week that he expects to see the No. 1 overall pick at some point this season, so feel free to stash him if you have an available IR spot. Expect the 76ers to monitor his minutes similar to the way they treated Joel Embiid earlier this season. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:48 am

  • P.J. Tucker not worried about potential trade
P.J. Tucker said he's not concerned about a potential trade.

Advice: "It’s part of business,'' Tucker said. "Contract year. Being a defensive player, a lot of teams are looking to make an addition to fight for a championship. But for me, it’s just focusing on being with my team and trying to win games. It happens every contract year. A lot of talk. A lot of it’s just rumors and people talking, but you never know in business. You just try to stay ready and block it out." The Suns are hoping to get a first-round pick in return for Tucker, and so far the Clippers, Bulls, Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Hawks are all rumored to have some interest. To be clear, Tucker would lose most of his fantasy value on all of those teams. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:27 am
  • Danilo Gallinari returned to action on Saturday January 21. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 18 points in return
Wilson Chandler scored 18 points with seven rebounds, one assist, two 3-pointers and two turnovers in 23 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: Chandler has looked just fine in his role as the backup power forward. Earlier in the year, he was destroying second unit due to Nikola Jokic playing the vast majority of his minutes next to him. Chandler did actually play eight minutes at small forward during this game, which should continue due to Gary Harris (ankle) and Emmanuel Mudiay (back) being out to force Will Barton to play more two. Barton was also very good in this game with 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers. The Nuggets offense is legit. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:56 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari scores 18 in return
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) returned after a one-game absence against the Clippers on Saturday, scoring 18 points with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: The Nuggets are just rolling as an offense and it really hasn't even mattered who starts. Coach Mike Malone seems hellbent on playing Gallinari big minutes and was headed to the upper 30s today because he didn't play in the final nine minutes for garbage time. Gallo is a must-start guy, but the injury risk is real. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm
  • Juan Gone: Hernangomez falls out of rotation
Juan Hernangomez played five minutes with two points and one assist against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: He was out of the rotation until garbage time. We'll see Hernangomez again after his 38-minute game on Thursday, but there's no need to hold him in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 16 points in start
Austin Rivers scored 16 points with two rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes as the starting point guard against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: The fact that he started over Raymond Felton was a good sign, but getting smoked in the first half negates that. With Blake Griffin (knee) getting really close, it should affect Rivers the most because he's more of a score-first guard and that's not needed as much next to BG. Plus, he has been a nightmare on defense. He's a hold for the rest of the month, but may fall off in February. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores 11 points in win
Nikola Mirotic scored 11 points with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in Saturday's 102-99 victory over the Kings.

Advice: It was his best game since returning from illness, but nothing to be too excited about. He can frustrate owners with his volatility. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard scores career-high 41 points
Kawhi Leonard won the battle against LeBron James during a thrilling 118-115 overtime victory in Cleveland on Saturday, scoring a career-high 41 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

Advice: He's not a system player. He's a system, player. Leonard's offense has been better than his defense these days with six consecutive games of at least 30 points. He joins only George "The Iceman" Gervin as the only two in Spurs history to do that. Leonard wasn't expected to have a J coming out of college, but he posted a 58.7 effective field goal percentage on just his 92 jumpers alone in his last six. The Spurs are first in the NBA in offensive rating in that span and it's all about Kawhi. The Spurs are a Kawhi system these days. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver struggles vs. Bulls
Anthony Tolliver hit 2-of-7 shots for six points with one rebound and two 3-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Bulls.

Advice: Tolliver continues to struggle and has now scored fewer than 10 points in four of his last five games, averaging 27.8 minutes, 6.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game during that stretch. With Rudy Gay (Achilles) out, more was expected out of Tolliver, but he has not lived up to the hype and is far from a must-own player at this point. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm
  • Manu Ginobili hurts his back
Manu Ginobili hurt his back at the end of Saturday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: He grabbed his lower back and was in a lot of pain. Ginobili has a slew of back problems in the past, so you can pencil him as a DNP on Monday and possibly beyond. Jonathon Simmons would be worth a look in deep leagues while Bryn Forbes could be in the rotation. This helps Danny Green too. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm
  • Kyle Anderson gets 18 minutes
Kyle Anderson played 18 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday with two points, four rebounds, one assist, four steals and two blocks.

Advice: The Spurs when with a small-ball four and it really worked out. Anderson was a +19 in the plus-minus stat and he was out there on the last play, as well. Anderson could get decent run on Monday against the Nets, but obviously we're not adding him. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores 15 off Suns bench
P.J. Tucker played 36 minutes and hit 6-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals in Saturday's win over the Knicks.

Advice: We got good Tucker tonight, but he had scored eight or fewer points in his previous four games. He's getting heavy minutes and is worth keeping an eye on going forward, but we'll need to see more games like this one before getting too excited. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:35 pm
  • Jabari Parker plays 31 minutes off the bench
Jabari Parker came off the bench for violating team rules and scored 16 points with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in 31 minutes of Saturday's 109-97 loss to the Heat.

Advice: Parker played well despite the benching and the fact he got 31 minutes was a savior if he was in your lineup tonight. He should be back in the starting lineup for the next one and even with tonight's benching, he's averaging 17.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 3-pointers on 43 percent shooting over his last five. The only surprise here, albeit mild, was that Thon Maker, and not Michael Beasley, got the start. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:58 pm
  • Chandler, Gallo, Mudiay are available to play
Wilson Chandler (personal), Danilo Gallinari (ankle) and Emmanuel Mudiay (back) are all available to play on Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: Chandler only needed one game away from the team for personal reasons. This game figures to be somewhat fast and Danilo Gallinari is a go, so Chandler should slot into the four most of this game. Juan Hernangomez takes a big hit here. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:20 pm
  • Gary Harris could play Tuesday
Gary Harris (ankle) could play on Tuesday.

Advice: He did some pre-game shooting and looks to be progressing. Harris is not going to play on Sunday unless something crazy happens and he's still not a lock for Tuesday. With him out Will Barton is a must-start player while Jamal Murray benefits in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:38 pm
  • Jabari Parker benched for team rule violation
Jabari Parker has been benched for Saturday's game against the Heat due to a team rule violation.

Advice: Those are really all the details we have so far on this. Coach Jason Kidd is about as unpredictable as they come, so Parker could play anywhere from zero seconds to 47 minutes and 59 seconds. Thon Maker will get the start with Parker being punished. Obviously there's no long-term concern here, but DFS owners probably want to steer clear of this situation today. Although, you have to like Giannis Antetokounmpo even more. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:27 pm
  • Jabari Parker to bench, Thon Maker to start
Thon Maker will start for Jabari Parker against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: Coach Jason Kidd is at it again. The Bucks are on the road for the back-to-back set, so Jabari getting the night off clearly comes to mind here. There's an off chance the team just wants to get a look at Maker, but that's quite the sharp adjustment. We wouldn't suggest using Parker in DFS today. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:14 pm
  • Luol Deng (wrist) goes through full practice
Luol Deng (wrist) went through a full practice on Saturday and is questionable to play against the Mavs on Sunday.

Advice: That's a great sign for Deng to return. Deng was previous ruled out "indefinitely" earlier this week, but it was just their way of saying they didn't know how long his shooting wrist would bother him. With Brandon Ingram playing much better and Larry Nance back, Deng may not be returning to the same role he had before the injury. Most owners can take a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:55 am
  • Gary Harris (ankle) out at least 2 more games
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) will miss at least the next two games, but Denver is hoping he can return early next week.

Advice: Harris has missed each of the last three games, and will miss two more, but the Nuggets are reportedly hoping to get Harris back for their game Tuesday vs. the Jazz. Will Barton had a good game (18 points, seven assists, three rebounds in 36 minutes) starting in place of Harris on Thursday. Jamal Murray (13 points six rebounds, two 3-pointers in 26 minutes) also played well off the bench. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:14 am
  • Gallinari (ankle) says he will play Saturday
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) says he will play Saturday vs. the Clippers

Advice: Gallinari sat out Thursday's game vs. the Spurs after logging heavy minutes on his nagging ankle earlier in the week. The Nuggets have been unafraid to play Gallinari plenty even when he is dealing with bumps and bruises. Feel free to insert Gallo back in your starting lineup for Saturday. Gallinari's return will cut into Will Barton and Jamal Murray's minutes. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:05 am
  • X-Rays negative on Nick Young's knee
Nick Young was diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee on Friday night but was able to return to the game and the X-rays taken were negative.

Advice: Young finished with 15 points, five 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes. Young said his knee was "a little sore" after the game, "but the win made it feel much better." He should be ready to roll for Sunday's game against the Mavs. In fact, he could see additional minutes if D'Angelo Russell (knee/calf) misses the contest. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:09 am
  • Joe Johnson scores 15 points
Joe Johnson scored 15 points with five rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: Joe Cool lived up to his old nickname with a clutch three to help earn this win. The Jazz went smaller more often in this one, so Johnson saw more than his 24 minutes from Monday. He could have some low-end value with Rodney Hood (knee) likely out another 1-2 weeks. He'll lose most of his value next month. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:52 pm
  • Nick Young hits five treys, scores 15 points
Nick Young (knee) returned from an injury scare in Friday's 108-96 win over the Pacers and scored 15 points in 26 minutes.

Advice: He hyperextended his left knee in the second quarter, but X-rays were negative and he returned for the second half. Young was moving well and hit five 3-pointers with three rebounds, one assist and one steal, and while he did say his knee was "a little sore" after the game, he should be fine for Sunday's game vs. Dallas unless the Lakers want to be cautious. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:44 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores five points
Nikola Mirotic made 1-of-6 from the field for five points with four rebounds, two assists and five fouls in 17 minutes against the Hawks on Friday.

Advice: When Bad Mirotic shows up, he shows up in emphatic fashion. These are the breaks with him, but he is still worth owning in standard leagues unless there is an irresistible free agent out there. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:44 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 32 points in win at HOU
Kevin Durant was on his A game during a 125-108 win in Houston on Friday, making 12-of-19 from the field for 32 points with four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He was just awesome on the defensive end in what has been an underrated part of his game in his career. The Warriors also made all of their shots off KD passes today. Obviously, it's about his offense and you may need a microscope to spot a KD slump. Durant has turned in a true shooting percentage below 60 in two consecutive games in just one instance this year. That and the stats across the board make him fantasy's No. 1 player this season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:28 pm
  • Draymond Green fills it up in a win
Draymond Green was key in the win over the Rockets on Friday, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: The Dubs get all the credit for their offense, but their defense was a big reason why they won this game. Green actually only played eight minutes at the five in this game, which is somewhat surprising with how the Rockets count on perimeter scoring so much. Despite a three percent dip in usage and a four percent dip in true shooting percentage, Green is still a first-round value in standard leagues. It's not all about scoring, you guys. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:14 pm
  • Nick Young (knee) starts second half Friday
Nick Young (knee) started the second half of Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: He hyperextended his left knee in the second quarter, but X-rays were negative and it sounds like he escaped with a minor tweak. Young is moving well as we report this, but check back after the game for an update. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:02 pm
  • Nick Young (left leg) to the locker room
Nick Young limped to the locker room in the second quarter on Friday.

Advice: He had a tweak to his left knee on a non-contact injury and couldn't put weight on it as he hopped off the floor. Young was in a lot of pain along the baseline for about two minutes before going back to the locker room. If he's out, Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams will be busy. We'll likely see more Jose Calderon and Brandon Ingram, as well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:29 pm
  • Aaron Gordon scores 17 w/ eight rebounds
Aaron Gordon scored 17 points with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 32 minutes vs. the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: He played 32 minutes tonight and his playing time has been steady since the Magic shook up their lineup. Gordon hit 7-of-16 from the field tonight, but only hit 3-of-6 from the line and that has been one of his biggest weaknesses this season -- he's now shooting a career-low 61.6 percent from the line. He's still worth owning and could have a big finish to the season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:43 pm
  • Jabari Parker scores 25 w/ three triples
Jabari Parker scored 25 points with six rebounds, six assists and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes vs. the Magic on Friday.

Advice: The Bucks really struggled tonight but Parker was one of the few bright spots. He finished 8-of-17 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line, and this was his fourth game of January with three or more 3-pointers. It's going to be interesting to see how the rumored return of Khris Middleton (hamstring) will impact Parker's touches, but his owners have no reason to be concerned. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:42 pm
  • Luol Deng (wrist) out, Ingram to start
Luol Deng (wrist) will not play on Friday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Brandon Ingram will start in his place once again. The Lakers initially said Deng was out indefinitely a few days back, but he was a game-time call tonight which suggests he's probably day-to-day. Regardless, he belongs on the wire in most leagues anyways. Ingram is looking at a heavy workload and is trending up as a nice stash in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:32 pm
  • Luol Deng a game-time call vs. Pacers
Luol Deng (wrist) is a game-time call to face the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: He will test out his shooting wrist and the team will go from there. If he sits, Brandon Ingram would get the start again. We'll pass along the decision on Deng in hopefully about an hour. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:52 pm
  • Gary Harris listed as out for Saturday
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) is listed as out for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: That makes it three games for Harris, who was hurt on Monday. Harris is having a really rough season, but his owners should still try to hang in there. In the meantime, Will Barton is going to get some serious run as the starter with Jamal Murray backing him up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:08 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari (ankle) questionable for Sat
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) is listed as questionable to play against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: Back on Wednesday, he was listed as probable for Thursday, but he did not play in the loss to the Spurs. Gallinari was only ruled out about 30 minutes before the game started, so he was fairly close to playing. If he's out again, Juancho Hernangomez could get another start, but he would be a risky play with Wilson Chandler likely back. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:06 pm
  • Wilson Chandler not on the injury report
Wilson Chandler (personal) is not on the injury report for Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: It looks like Chandler only needed the one game for his personal reasons. With him back, he'll likely be getting a few minutes at the three to go with his heavy dose of minutes at the four. Juancho Hernangomez would be the most likely to lose minutes. Chandler should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:58 pm
  • Stein confirms report on P.J. Tucker
ESPN's Marc Stein confirmed the Suns are looking for a first-round pick in a P.J. Tucker deal.

Advice: This coincides with a local Arizona report, saying the Suns still have some interest in trying to resign Tucker. In a good portion of coach Earl Watson's post-game interviews, he talks about Tucker helping the team's identity, so the coach clearly likes having him around the young players. If Tucker is dealt, T.J. Warren would be a big winner while the Suns may get a look at Dragan Bender playing more three. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:14 pm
  • Luol Deng (wrist) questionable for Friday
Luol Deng (right wrist) skipped the contact portion of the Lakers shootaround on Friday morning and is listed as questionable for for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Deng did not play Wednesday due to the wrist injury. Brandon Ingram started in his place and posted an impressive all-around game, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes. Ingram is an intriguing DFS play if Deng is ruled out on Friday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:59 am
  • Evan Fournier (heel) ruled out Friday
Evan Fournier (heel) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: This news is certainly not surprising, as plugged-in, Magic beat writer Josh Robbins recently termed Fournier's return as "not imminent." Friday will be the fourth straight game Fournier has missed after aggravating a right-heel injury that also caused him to miss five games from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2. With Jodie Meeks (thumb) sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks, Orlando will have to lean heavily on Mario Hezonja and C.J. Watson to pick up the slack for Meeks and Fournier. D.J. Augustin will also likely see an uptick in minutes playing alongside Elfrid Payton in the backcourt. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:12 am
  • Evan Fournier (heel) unlikely to play Friday
Evan Fournier (heel) is unlikely to play Friday vs. Milwaukee.

Advice: The Magic have yet to release their game notes for Friday's matchup with the Bucks, however, Fournier's return is "not imminent," according Josh Robbins. "It’s really, really frustrating," Fournier said. "I don’t sleep at night right now, and there’s nothing I can do. So my focus right now is on getting better because that’s the only thing I can control." With Jodie Meeks (thumb) expected to miss 4-6 weeks, Orlando is extremely shorthanded at shooting guard. Mario Hezonja and C.J. Watson will see a major uptick in minutes until Fournier returns. D.J. Augustin will also see additional time playing off the ball. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:49 am
  • Austin Rivers scores 20 points vs. T-Wolves
Austin Rivers scored 20 points with two assists, one rebound, one block and two 3-pointers in Thursday's 101-104 loss to the Timberwolves.

Advice: Rivers fouled out with five seconds left in the game, but was feeling it tonight as he scored 20 points for just the sixth time this season. He continues to play big minutes, averaging over 35 minutes per game in January and playing at least 31 minutes in eight consecutive games. With Chris Paul (hand) out for 6-8 weeks, Rivers will remain a big part of the Clippers offense until Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:11 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard scores 34 points in win vs. DEN
Kawhi Leonard was on fire yet again during a 118-104 win over the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring 34 points with five rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He earned an All-Star starting spot today, which was fairly obvious. Leonard has scored at least 30 points for five consecutive games, which has only been done by two other Spurs ever (George Gervin and Mike Mitchell). Coach Gregg Popovich had a very typical answer about Kawhi's play after the game. "Kawhi Leonard was super, but he's getting paid to be super," Pop said. Leonard is going to be super for a long time. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:24 pm
  • Juan Hernangomez scores eight in a start
Juan Hernangomez played 38 minutes in a start against the Spurs on Thursday, scoring eight points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He was really good and his defensive presence will get him on coach Mike Malone's good side. He played mostly at the three in this game, but he also played some power forward minutes. Hernangomez also played the entire fourth quarter of his close game as the PF-C combo with Nikola Jokic. If Danilo Gallinari (ankle) needs to miss more time, we may see more of Juancho. He's worth a look in 20-team leagues for now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:33 pm
  • Wesley Matthews scored 18 points in loss
Wesley Matthews scored 18 points with five rebounds, one assist, one block and four 3-pointers in Thursday's 95-99 loss to the Heat.

Advice: He’s been shooting the ball well from beyond the arc with 15 3-pointers in his last four games. Matthews has now scored in double figures in four consecutive games, including three games with at least 18 points. Despite tying his career-low 38.8 field goal percent this season, his peripheral stats have been just fine. He has a tough matchup on Friday against the Jazz, but has scored in double-figures each time he has faced them this season. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:20 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores just two points
P.J. Tucker scored two points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

Advice: Coach Earl Watson always plays Tucker against top-notch wings, so that explains the playing time. As you can see with his stat line, he's not really doing much with his minutes. Tucker has actually been a ninth-round guy in his last 10, but a possible trade and a low upside makes him a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:38 pm
  • Juancho Hernangomez likely to start
Juancho Hernangomez is likely to start against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: With no Danilo Gallinari (ankle) or Wilson Chandler (personal), Hernangomez could see minutes around 24 tonight. We should also see a ton of Barton at the three, which would open up some minutes for Jamal Murray. Hernangomez is only worth a look in deep leagues for now with Chandler and Gallo not expected to miss much time. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:15 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari (ankle) ruled out vs. Spurs
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) has been ruled out to face the Spurs on Thursday night.

Advice: He was probable on Wednesday, but was downgraded this morning to questionable. The Nuggets have continuously listed him as probable for several points this season and would play him, but they'll sit him against Kawhi Leonard. Hopefully, it's just a one-day thing for the oft-injured forward. Will Barton should get massive minutes tonight while Jamal Murray and Juan Hernangomez get some decent burn. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:04 pm
  • Rudy Gay suffers full rupture of Achilles
Rudy Gay suffered a full rupture of the left Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the season.

Advice: He is going to have surgery in the coming days. This is a brutal blow for the Kings, who were in the mix to fight for the eighth seed. It's just as bad for Gay and now he may not opt out of his $14.2 million player option for next season at age 30. For the rest of the season, the Kings may look to Garrett Temple, Anthony Tolliver and Matt Barnes to step up. The last stint Gay missed, it was Temple turning in the best value. • Brett Brown says Simmons should play
Coach Brett Brown said he thinks the 76ers will have Ben Simmons (foot) at some point this year.

Advice: In case you missed it yesterday, ESPN reported he could debut shortly after the All-Star Game. This is really the most positive sign from Brown about a potential target date. This could be due to the 76ers arguably playing the best basketball in 2017 and now they actually have a chance to make the playoffs. We'd still rather stash Khris Middleton (hamstring), but feel free to stash Simmons if you have a big lead or an open I.R. spot. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:27 am
    Injured

  • Gallinari (ankle) downgraded to questionable
Danilo Gallinari (right ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: He was listed as probable on Wednesday, so this is a concern. However, a conflicting report from Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post said Gallinari is a "go." The forward has been on the injury report in his previous three games, but played 30, 40 and 39 minutes in those three contests. If he's unable to play, rookie Juan Hernangomez could see a sizable bump in minutes. Will Barton should also be a workhorse on the wings. Hopefully we'll have more clarity soon. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:18 am
  • Wilson Chandler, Gary Harris out Thursday
Wilson Chandler (personal) and Gary Harris (ankle) will not play on Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Chandler was listed as out, but now we have official confirmation. This is a tough blow for the Nuggets because Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was just downgraded to questionable. The Nuggets play two more times this week on Saturday and Sunday, so Chandler's owners should sit tight for now. Will Barton looks like a great DFS play and we could see more of rookie Juan Hernangomez. Chandler's absence also raises Kenneth Faried's floor, especially with Darrell Arthur (knee) out. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:15 am
  • P.J. Tucker drawing interest around the NBA
P.J. Tucker is reportedly drawing interest from around the league.

Advice: Tucker is on the final year of an affordable deal, as he's on the books for just $5.3 million. With the Suns rebuilding, it's no secret that they will listen to offers for their defensive stopper. According to this report, the Clippers, Bulls, Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Hawks all have interest in Tucker, but Suns GM Ryan McDonough said earlier in the week that he doesn't like taking back late-round picks in deals which could complicate things in trade talks. If the Suns can find a new home for Tucker, T.J. Warren will get a bump and Dragan Bender will have a larger role. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:22 am
  • Andre Iguodala gets four steals w/ full line
Andre Iguodala had another nice game on Wednesday, swiping four steals to go along with six points, five assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes.

Advice: The 13-year veteran is quietly having a phenomenal month of January, scoring 7.3 points on 62.5 percent shooting with 1.0 threes, 3.7 boards, 3.6 assists and 0.7 steals. He's a combined 7-of-11 from deep in that span. It's inevitable that he'll cool off, but he's getting a ton of easy shot attempts and is at least worth some attention in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:39 pm
  • Klay Thompson (personal) starts, logs 30 mins
Klay Thompson (personal) started Wednesday's game and finished with 14 points, five boards, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes of action.

Advice: Thompson's status was a roller-coaster throughout the day. He was initially ruled out after flying to Portland to be with his ill grandfather, but he was later deemed 'questionable' and then 'probable'. Thompson's stats this season are remarkably similar to last year, including an identical 17.3 shots per game, and he's still returning fourth-round value despite the surplus of talented scorers in Golden State. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:38 pm
  • Hello Again: Kevin Durant gets 40 pts vs. OKC
Kevin Durant was phenomenal against his former team on Wednesday, scoring a season-high 40 points (13-of-16 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs) with 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and five 3-pointers.

Advice: "It's never going to be a regular game for me," Durant said prior to the game. "I'm sure it will [be emotional]. It's people I've been with for so long and to see them again, yeah, they'll be some emotions. But I've still got a job to do." He did his job at an MVP level tonight, playing with a little extra juice against Russell Westbrook and co., and he continues to hold off all challengers for No. 1 fantasy value in 9-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:38 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver likely headed for minutes
Anthony Tolliver came off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes.

Advice: The first time Rudy Gay (Achilles) missed extended time, Tolliver was let loose a bit with 28.7 minutes per game in that 11-game span. He averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 boards, 0.9 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.9 treys on 50.0 percent from the field. While that percentage may not be sustainable, Tolliver did post ninth-round value in that span, so he's worth a look if you need treys from a power forward. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:20 pm
  • Tests indicate Rudy Gay tore his Achilles
Preliminary tests indicated Rudy Gay has suffered a torn left Achilles.

Advice: He'll have an MRI on Thursday to confirm the injury, which is likely to end his season. Gay had micro tearing in his left Achilles dating back to 2014 and received shockwave treatment before. He's heading into a contract year and the timing is just terrible for the 30-year-old forward. The Kings will have to count on Garrett Temple, Matt Barnes and Anthony Tolliver. Temple is worth a pickup in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:48 pm
    Injured

  • Rudy Gay (leg) gets carried off the court
Rudy Gay (leg) was carried off the court in the third quarter on Wednesday.

Advice: It did not look good. He was driving along the baseline and his leg gave out on the play. Gay couldn't put any weight on his left leg and the Kings had four people carry him off the court. Considering how the Kings have been careful with him, he's likely to miss time here. Matt Barnes, Anthony Tolliver and Garrett Temple could all gain value. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:22 pm
    Injured

  • Aaron Gordon logs 31 minutes in ugly loss
Aaron Gordon played 31 minutes on Wednesday, more than any other starter, finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: "We need every win right now," coach Frank Vogel said before the game, which concluded a six-game road trip. "We’re behind the 8-ball in the standings. Every win matters." The Magic lost again tonight, 118-98, but the fact that Gordon got 30+ minutes is a terrific sign. He's heating up lately and shouldn't be on your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:45 pm
  • Klay Thompson (personal) will play Wednesday
Klay Thompson (personal) has arrived at Oracle Arena and he will play vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Thompson flew back from Portland and he made it to the arena with enough time to ensure that he'll be in the starting lineup. Get him into your active lineups. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:12 pm
  • ESPN: Ben Simmons could debut after AS break
Ben Simmons (foot) "could make his much-anticipated NBA debut shortly after the All-Star break," according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

Advice: The report adds the No. 1 pick has a chance to make his NBA debut "near March," assuming he doesn't have a setback. He went through 5-on-5 for the first time last week and continues to do some work pre-game, including on the road. He'll likely have a minutes limit upon his return, so it may be a while before he's contributing reliable production. Simmons is a questionable stash in standard leagues, especially if you need to make up ground in the standings. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:36 pm
    Injured

  • Evan Fournier (heel, foot) out for Wednesday
Evan Fournier (heel, foot) will not play against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Advice: He tried to return from a heel injury last week and apparently it's caused additional problems to his foot due to compensation. Fournier's owners obviously have to stash him. Jodie Meeks should play minutes around 30 while Elfrid Payton has also been terrific without Fournier lately. Meeks is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:35 pm
  • Woj: Klay Thompson intends to play vs. OKC
Klay Thompson (personal) flew to Portland to visit his ill grandfather today and intends to return to Bay Area to play against the Thunder on Wednesday night, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Advice: Thompson has told general manager Bob Myers he could fly back in time for the game tonight, so Thompson looks like he's closer to probable for this game. If he isn't back in time, we'll see more Pat McCaw Ian Clark and Andre Iguodala could play more. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:31 pm
  • No chance Simmons plays on Jan. 27
Coach Brett Brown said there is "no chance" Ben Simmons will play on Jan. 27 against the Rockets.

Advice: That game was switched to national TV, which has caused some speculation about Simmons making his debut. He is doing some on-court work and the 76ers actually in the mix to make the postseason has given the team a reason to play him. Perhaps he can make his debut next month, but he's still only a questionable stash without a target date. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:32 pm
    Injured

  • Gary Harris will not play on Thursday
Gary Harris (ankle) will not play against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: This will be his second game out of the lineup. Harris is having a tough go this year, suffering injuries to his groin, foot and now this ankle sprain. With him out, Will Barton is a must-start player in season long and is probably worth using in DFS. Jamal Murray also benefits. Harris should still probably remain owned in standard leagues despite all these injuries. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:25 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari probable to play on Thursday
Danilo Gallinari (right ankle) is probable to play on Thursday against the Spurs on Thursday.

Advice: This is fairly routine for the Nuggets with Gallo also on the injury report on Tuesday. He played 39 minutes and scored 14 points, so he's fairly close to healthy. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:06 pm
  • Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out
Wilson Chandler (personal) is listed as out for Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: Being listed as out isn't the same thing as being out, so hopefully we get another update on Thursday before the road game. Kenneth Faried has played really well in the first unit, which has cost Chandler some playing time. He's still worth owning, though. If he is indeed out, Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Juan Hernangomez could play more. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:56 pm
  • Luol Deng (wrist) questionable for Friday
Luol Deng (right wrist) is questionable to play against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: He also did not practice on Wednesday. Deng was called out indefinitely on Tuesday, so he's likely not going to play with a sprained shooting wrist. Even when he's back, the Lakers seem to be shifting to their younger players. If he's out, Brandon Ingram should continue to start and get heavy minutes, making him a target in standard leagues. The guards also benefit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:06 pm
  • Update: Klay Thompson is questionable vs. OKC
Updating a previous item, Klay Thompson (personal) is now questionable to play against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Advice: It was just five minutes ago Klay was called out for this game, but now there is a chance he can make it back with the team in time for tonight after dealing with a family matter. He'll likely be a game-time call for the late start tonight, so DFS players likely won't know when it's time to set your lineup. If he's out, Pat McCaw, Ian Clark and Andre Iguodala would benefit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:15 am
  • Report: OKC turned off by Rudy Gay's agency
The Thunder have reportedly been turned off by Rudy Gay joining the Roc Nation Sports agency.

Advice: This is the same agency that represents Kevin Durant, and according to Sam Amick of USA Today, OKC management partly blames the Roc Nation agency for the departure of Durant. Amick speculates that a trade sending Gay to Miami in some sort of Goran Dragic package is more likely, although Pat Riley may prefer to wait for Gay to hit free agency rather than unload assets to grab him for half a season now. In terms of fantasy hoops, Miami would be a decent landing spot, but this is all speculation at the moment. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:04 am

  • Wesley Matthews hits game-winner, plays D
Wesley Matthews hit the game-winning 3-pointer with just under 12 seconds remaining in Tuesday's tough, 99-98 win over the Bulls, and also played tough defense all night on Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade.

Advice: While it may seem strange to praise Matthews' defense on a guy who just missed a triple-double with 24 points, nine boards and 12 assists (Butler), the two players had a running dialogue all night and Matthews had the last laugh when he knocked the ball away from Butler with the game on the line. Matthews finished with just 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers, but was much better in real life than fantasy tonight. And the Mavericks have quietly won three straight games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:26 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic plays 22 minutes in return
Nikola Mirotic returned from an illness on Tuesday and had six points, five rebounds, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Advice: Not a bad line from Mirotic, who also benefitted from the absence of Taj Gibson, who was out with an ankle injury. The song remains the same with Miro - he'll have some big games and some bad games, so catching him on the right night can be tough. But if Gibson's ankle injury lingers, Mirotic will be someone worth picking up, while he could also bounce back for a decent second half, with or without Gibson. Mirotic is the textbook definition of a borderline player to own in 12-team leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:09 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard scores 34 w/ 7 boards, 5 dimes
Kawhi Leonard scored 34 points on 12-of-17 shooting in Tuesday's 122-114 win over the Wolves.

Advice: He's unfair. This was Leonard's 12th 30-point game of the season and his fourth in a row, becoming the first Spur to score 30+ points in four straight since Tim Duncan in Jan. 2004. The Claw added seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two triples, and he also finished 8-of-9 from the free throw line. There's no reason why he shouldn't be a top-5 option in standard leagues the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:08 pm
  • Luol Deng (wrist) ruled out indefinitely
Luol Deng will not play on Tuesday due to a sprained right wrist and will be out indefinitely.

Advice: This came out of nowhere, but he apparently suffered the injury two days ago and he was sporting a huge wrap on his wrist prior to being ruled out. Look for Brandon Ingram to get some extra run in his absence, while Thomas Robinson could also see a small boost. Deng has a history of wrist problems so it will be interesting to see how long this one keeps him out. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:27 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) out for Nuggets
As expected, Gary Harris will not play for the Nuggets on Tuesday due to a sprained right ankle.

Advice: Will Barton (flu) is available and it would be surprising if both he and Jameer Nelson don't make some noise tonight in Harris' absence. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:19 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari and Will Barton will play
Danilo Gallinari (ankle) and Will Barton (illness) will play on Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: Both players were listed as probable, but they are ready to roll in a favorable matchup vs. the Lakers. Get them active and check back after the game for an update. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:18 pm
  • Austin Rivers looking at an increased role
Austin Rivers is looking at an increased role moving forward with Chris Paul (thumb) out 6-8 weeks.

Advice: Rivers was going to lose some value with Blake Griffin (knee) nearing a return, but not so fast. With Paul out, both Rivers and Felton could realistically play over 30 minutes a night even with a healthy Blake. Rivers is averaging 16.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 triples in January, and his usage rate climbs from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court. Go pick him up. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:34 pm
  • Fournier, Biyombo questionable for Wednesday
Evan Fournier (heel) and Bismack Biyombo (knee) are being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.

Advice: Fournier missed five straight games with this same injury earlier this month, and that wasn't enough time off to get himself right, so he could miss more time this time around. Considering he's only sat out the past two, we feel he's much closer to doubtful for Wednesday's game, but we should get another update after shootaround. Biyombo had a nasty fall on Monday, and while he played through it, it looks like the knee swelled up on the flight to New Orleans. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:26 pm
  • Gallinari (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Danilo Gallinari (left ankle soreness) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: Gallinari has been battling a nagging ankle injury for over a week now, but it has not limited his playing time. In fact, Gallo played a game-high 40 minutes in Monday's win over the Magic. Don't hesitate to insert Gallinari in your starting lineup as usual. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:04 am
  • Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play Tuesday
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play Tuesday vs. the Mavs.

Advice: Mirotic, who has missed four straight games due to strep throat, has been a disappointment this season, averaging career-lows in points (9.5), assists (0.8), field goal percentage (.387), 3-point percentage (.312) and free-throw percentage (.758). Hopefully, he can bounce back in the second half of the season to salvage his 2016-17 campaign. Mirotic's return will cut into Doug McDermott's minutes and likely knock Bobby Portis out of the rotation. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:11 am
  • Gary Harris (ankle): X-rays are negative
X-rays on Gary Harris' sprained right ankle came back negative, but Harris is not expected to be available on Tuesday when the Nuggets play the L.A. Lakers.

Advice: Harris has played just 17 of the Nuggets 38 games this season due to a variety of groin and foot injuries, and it appears he will miss at least one more due to this ankle sprain. The good news is that this injury seems relatively minor. "I don’t think this is nearly as serious or severe as the previous injury," coach Mike Malone said. Jameer Nelson and Will Barton will likely see a boost if Harris is unable to play. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:44 am
  • Evan Fournier returned to action on Monday January 16. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:41 am
  • Joe Johnson returned to action on Monday January 16. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:41 am
  • Austin Rivers scores 16 w/ six assists
Austin Rivers scored 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Advice: He played impressive defense on Russell Westbrook and is thriving with the first unit. Rivers logged 35 minutes and added six assists, two rebounds, one steal and two triples, and he could have the ball in his hands a lot more if Chris Paul (sprained thumb) misses any time. Rivers' usage rate rises from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court, so he looks like a solid pickup in addition to Raymond Felton. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:18 pm
  • Joe Johnson scores 15 in Hood's absence
Joe Johnson hit 5-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds and one assist in Monday's win 106-101 win over the Suns.

Advice: Johnson is getting extra run with Rodney Hood out for a couple weeks with a knee injury, although Joe Ingles is the new starter. Johnson scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and hit a huge 3-pointer to put the Jazz up one with just 42 seconds remaining. Johnson and the Jazz have two more games this week, so picking him (and/or Ingles) up might make sense, if you have someone you don't mind dropping. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:13 pm
  • P.J. Tucker hauls in season-high 13 boards
P.J. Tucker tied his season high with 13 rebounds and added eight points and two steals in 27 minutes on Monday.

Advice: Tucker is averaging just 6.2 points over his last five games, but also 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 29 minutes a game. He doesn't hit threes, hand out assists or block shots, and with his shaky field goal percentage and lack of scoring, is a borderline player to target in fantasy leagues. Chances are you can do better off your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:55 pm
  • Andre Iguodala scores season-high 14 points
Andre Iguodala scored a season-high 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: You just knew he was going to step up with LeBron James in town. Iguodala did all of his damage in just 25 minutes of the blowout, adding five assists, three rebounds, one block and two triples. As good as he was tonight, Iggy was only averaging 5.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists on the season, so we can't get behind an add in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:01 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 21 on 9-of-16 FGs
Kevin Durant scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Durant had three blocks on the night including a massive rejection on a LeBron James dunk attempt (link below). He added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and three triples, but only played 29 minutes in the blowout win. Durant should be a popular DFS target on Wednesday vs. Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. The last time those two teams met, Durant had 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:50 pm
  • Draymond Green triple-doubles in win vs. Cavs
Draymond Green triple-doubled in an easy 126-91 win over the Cavaliers on Monday, scoring 11 points with 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Advice: This was his third triple-double of the season and the 17th of his career. Green was incredible on the defensive end, racking up one steal and matching his career-high with five blocks. He didn't have a single turnover in 35 minutes and finished 4-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from the stripe in one of his best lines of the season. The Warriors will go for their fifth straight win on Wednesday vs. the Thunder. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:43 pm
  • Aaron Gordon struggles, scores just 4 points
Aaron Gordon had a disappointingly quiet night on Monday in Denver, finishing with just four points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes.

Advice: Gordon has alternated bad games and good games over the last two weeks. Here are his scoring totals over Orlando's last six games: 18, two, 28, eight, 21, four. Hopefully, that means he'll bounce back in a big way on Wednesday when the Magic travel to New Orleans. Despite the inconsistency, his numbers are solid this season and his roster spot in standard leagues should be secure. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:10 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores nine off Denver bench
Wilson Chandler came off the bench in Denver victory over Orlando and finished with nine points (on 4-of-12 shooting), eight rebounds, three assists, two turnovers, one 3-pointer and a steal.

Advice: Kenneth Faried slid into the starting lineup on Monday, which limited Chandler impact. It was actually the first time all season Chandler played fewer than 23 minutes. Wilson had been hot coming into Monday (averaging 17.4 points and 5.8 boards in 31.1 minutes over his last five games), so Monday's game can be viewed as a blip on the radar for the time being... • Gary Harris (ankle) doubtful Tuesday vs. LAL
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) is doubtful to play Tuesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: "It is the same leg that his foot injury was on but this is separate," said head coach Mike Malone. "It is an ankle thing and he is doubtful for [Tuesday's game against the Lakers]." With Harris on the sidelines, Jameer Nelson could enter the starting lineup and Will Barton will see some increased opportunity with the second unit. Jamal Murray could also get into the rotation, although he only managed to get on the court for five minutes on Monday despite the game being a blowout. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:41 pm
  • Jabari Parker scores 23 points in loss
Jabari Parker scored 23 points in Monday's loss to Philly, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line.

Advice: He continues to thrive from beyond the arc and hit a pair of triples on four attempts Monday, bumping his 3-point percentage up to 41.1 percent on the season. He added five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 35 minutes, and he's now scored 22+ points in five out of his last six games. He should feast in a great mathchup vs. Houston on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:45 pm
  • Gary Harris (ankle) will not return Monday
Gary Harris (right ankle sprain) will not return to Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Ugh. Harris just hasn't been able to stay healthy this season, as he's had some major issues with his right leg. He's now missed time with a groin and foot injury (both to his right leg), and it's looking like this new ankle injury could again force him to the sidelines for at least a few games. Will Barton and Jamal Murray will benefit sans Harris, with Barton offering a bit more upside. The only positive here is that X-rays came back negative, but we should get a rough timetable after he undergoes an MRI. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 2:45 pm
  • Gary Harris (groin) headed to the locker room
Gary Harris (right groin) is headed to the locker room.

Advice: Harris appeared to tweak his groin on a drive to the hoop, and after being evaluated on the bench, the Nuggets trainers decided to take him back to the locker room for further evaluation. It's worth noting that he was walking with a noticeable limp, which isn't the greatest sign. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 2:26 pm
  • Wilson Chandler will come off the bench Mon
Wilson Chandler will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Kenneth Faried will get the start in what is likely a matchup based move, but Chandler tends to get his numbers regardless of how he enters the game, so his value won't take much of a hit with the second unit. Feel free to get him active for a favorable matchup with the Magic. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 1:34 pm
  • Evan Fournier (heel) out Monday vs. Denver
Evan Fournier (heel) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Nuggets, as expected.

Advice: He's currently without an official timetable to return, and it sounds like there's a good chance he'll spend the entire week on the sidelines. Jodie Meeks will draw the start in his place, and Elfrid Payton, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Nikola Vucevic will join him in the starting five. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 12:47 pm
  • Luol Deng returned to action on Sunday January 15. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 12:19 am
  • Luol Deng plays team-high 36 minutes
Luol Deng returned from a rest day on Sunday with two points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal, making 1-of-6 shots in a team-high 36 minutes of action.

Advice: Deng has had some nice stretches for the Lakers this year, but his rest-of-season outlook is shaky at best. As a 13-year veteran on a team that should increasingly emphasize player development down the stretch, Deng is a borderline cut in 12-team leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:37 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver plays 31 minutes vs. OKC
Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Thunder on Sunday.

Advice: Tolliver started in his fourth consecutive game tonight and has played over 30 minutes in each of his starts. During that stretch, he is averaging 33.3 minutes, 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.3 treys per game. Coach Dave Joerger likes to mix it up with his starting five, so at any moment Tolliver could head back to his bench role. However, until that happens, he is worth considering in deeper leagues for fantasy owners in need of 3-pointers and steals. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:27 pm
  • Rudy Gay double-doubles vs. Thunder
Rudy Gay scored 22 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes on Sunday against the Thunder.

Advice: This was his second consecutive double-double and his fourth of the season. He continues to have a nice January, averaging 35.4 minutes, 19.4 points, seven rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game. There is no reason to think he will slow down any time soon. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:16 pm

  • Jabari Parker dishes career-high nine assists
Jabari Parker handed out a career-high nine assists on Sunday, adding 10 rebounds, eight points and one steal in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: The ball has been in Parker's hands a ton in January. His 31 total assists this month are more than Giannis Antetokounmpo (25) and not that far behind ostensible point guard Malcolm Brogdon (34). Giannis' ridiculous season has overshadowed Parker, to some extent, but he's flirting with top-50 value in roto leagues and has been even better for the past month. There's no reason to think he'll cool off. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 4:49 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic could return on Tuesday
Coach Fred Hoiberg is "hopeful" that Nikola Mirotic (illness) will play on Tuesday against Dallas.

Advice: Mirotic has missed four games due to the illness, which appears to be strep throat. Prior to the issue, he averaged 25.8 minutes, 10.8 points, four rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game in the month of January. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 4:43 pm
  • Wesley Matthews scores 19 points w/ 4 triples
Wesley Matthews scored a team-high 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting during Sunday's 98-87 win over the Wolves, adding four 3-pointers, seven boards, one assist, one block and one turnover.

Advice: Matthews has been connecting on a career-low 38.6 percent of his attempts this season, but aside from the shooting he's been solid with averages of 15.1 points, 2.2 dimes, 1.3 steals, 2.9 triples and just 1.4 turnovers per game, which has him sitting on an eighth-round evaluation in standard 9-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 2:36 pm
  • Evan Fournier doesn't have a timetable
Evan Fournier (heel, foot) doesn't currently have a timetable to return.

Advice: "I was compensating a lot, so now it’s more than just the heel," Fournier said. "It’s just the bottom of the foot, period. It’s frustrating, man. I could probably keep playing like this, but it’s not getting any better and I’m playing [at] like 60 percent [of my ability]." This is the same injury that sidelined him for five games in a row earlier in the season, so don't expect him to play on Monday vs. the Nuggets or Wednesday vs. the Pelicans. His owners just need to hold onto him for now, while Jodie Meeks is worth a look if you need a short-term boost in triples and points. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 7:24 am
  • Aaron Gordon remains hot with 21 points
Aaron Gordon hit 8-of-14 shots for 21 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz.

Advice: After a subpar game against Portland, Gordon bounced back nicely tonight and continues to have a nice month. Prior to tonight’s game, he averaged 31.4 minutes, 15.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in January. At this time, there is no reason why he should be on waivers in any format, especially now that the Magic have abandoned the two-center ball that has hurt Gordon for so much this season and with Evan Fournier (foot, heel) hurting. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 8:56 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores six points
P.J. Tucker scored six points with five rebounds, two assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

Advice: He did get the business from Kawhi Leonard for most of this game, but Tucker came up big late to get the big win. He'll have some low-end value while the Suns are technically in playoff contention, but he's only a guy on deep-league radars. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 7:03 pm
  • Ka-Wow: Kawhi Leonard scores career-high 38
Kawhi Leonard exploded for a career-high 38 points during a 108-105 loss to the Suns in Mexico on Saturday, adding four rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: It's almost shocking to see the Spurs lose a game when Kawhi turns in his best offensive game, but he got very little help. Leonard has now scored 30-plus points for three straight games for the first time in his career. Leonard is also three games shy of tying Tim Duncan's franchise record for consecutive games with double-digit scoring. Leonard has an absolutely absurd 77.9 true shooting percentage in his last three as the hottest scorer in the NBA. Oh and he's a good defender. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 6:42 pm
  • Manu Ginobili gets added run
Manu Ginobili scored 16 points with two rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: With Tony Parker as the only active point guard, Manu picked up some added playing time as the second unit ball handler. If Patty Mills (calf) needs to miss more time, Ginobili could see meaningful minutes in the mid 20s. Plus, the Spurs do not have any back-to-backs for their three games this week. There are worse players to use this week in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 6:22 pm
  • Evan Fournier (foot) could miss road trip
Evan Fournier (foot, heel) could miss the remainder of the Magic's road trip due to the concern of his foot and heel injuries.

Advice: On top of being out Saturday, he could be out Monday and Wednesday. The interesting thing here is that it sounds like he has problems in two different areas on his right foot. His heel injury was a problem at the end of last month and cost him five games, so he could be looking at a similar amount of time off due to the aggravation. In the meantime, go ahead and add Jodie Meeks in competitive leagues for short-term value. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:09 pm
  • Evan Fournier (foot) out, Jodie Meeks starts
Evan Fournier (foot) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday and Jodie Meeks will start in his place.

Advice: Fournier is still battling through his heel injury from earlier this month and he just hasn't been right. The Magic are wisely going to rest him up to get him right, and hopefully he should be OK for Monday against the Nuggets. Meeks is worth a look as insurance in deep leagues while Mario Hezonja is on the radar in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 4:34 pm
  • Joe Johnson (rest) will not play on Saturday
Joe Johnson (rest) will not play on Saturday against the Magic.

Advice: The Jazz have consistently held him in the upper teens since they've been healthy. The Jazz used Dante Exum for the first time in a while on Friday and he looked pretty good, so he's likely just going to slot into Johnson's minutes tonight. Alec Burks will also be in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 4:25 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 15 points in start
Austin Rivers scored 15 points with one rebound, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: He likely has the starting job locked up with his dad trusting him against small forwards of all sizes until Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rivers has been very effective in his last four, averaging 19.0 points, 3.8 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 treys. He'll be taking a big hit once BG comes back and only has three games for the upcoming week, so Rivers' value isn't the greatest going forward. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 3:26 pm
  • Nick Young scores 11 points
Nick Young scored 11 points with one steal and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: His minutes have taken a hit this month, but some of that is due to the Lakers being blown out for three games in a row. Coach Luke Walton still is trusting Young's defense and he asked him to chase around J.J. Redick in this game. He's almost certainly past his peak on the season and has slowed down in his last five, averaging 6.8 points, 1.2 boards, 0.6 assists and 1.4 treys on just 27.5 percent from the field. If you want to cut him for an upward-trending free agent, go for it. We would cut him for someone like Terrence Jones in a second. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 3:09 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic ruled out for Sunday night
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will not play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Advice: He has a really, really bad case of something with now four games out of the lineup. Mirotic being out should open up minutes for Doug McDermott as the second-unit shooter, but McDermott has been awful lately. If things change on Saturday, maybe Bobby Portis gets a look. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 12:31 pm
  • Luol Deng (rest) will not play on Saturday
Luol Deng (rest) will not play on Saturday against the Clippers.

Advice: It's just rest for the veteran on the front end of a back-to-back set. Deng has been consistently getting around 30 minutes before the Lakers were blown out on Thursday, but he'll likely see fewer minutes as the season goes on. He's still worth owning. For today, Brandon Ingram should be sliding into the first unit while there are more three-guard lineups today -- the Clippers should also go small a ton. Julius Randle also gets a slight bump today. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 11:14 am
  • Rudy Gay scores 23 points in loss to Cavs
Rudy Gay scored 23 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, four blocks and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: After all the time off due to a hip injury, Gay has turned it up over his last four. In that span, he averaged 18.8 points, 6.3 boards, 2.5 assists, 1.8 blocks, 1.3 steals and 1.8 treys. He should feast the rest of the way while he's on the Kings roster, but the trade rumors and rest will be a pain for his owners. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 10:50 pm
    Injured

  • Nikola Mirotic (illness) out for Saturday
Nikola Mirotic (illness) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: This will be his third game out of the lineup with his very bad illness. With him out, it was Paul Zipser getting the start while Bobby Portis also saw some late minutes in a close game. Doug McDermott could also benefit, but he's been in a brutal slump. Mirotic is still a stash. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 2:29 pm
  • Klay Thompson hits 9-of-15 shots in win
Klay Thompson hit 9-of-15 shots, 4-of-5 3-pointers and 1-of-4 free throws for 23 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes on Thursday.

Advice: He stayed in the blowout for most of the fourth quarter, while Stephen Curry watched from the bench. Thompson's a career 85 percent free throw shooter so you can bet he's not happy with his free throw performance tonight. But the rest of his game was on point and he looked great after getting a day of rest on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:17 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 25 on 10-of-15 shooting
Kevin Durant hit 10-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 25 points, six rebounds, nine assists and a steal in Thursday's blowout 127-107 win over the Pistons.

Advice: He stayed in the game for a lot of fourth-quarter garbage time when Stephen Curry and most other starters were resting, giving him a nice boost in DFS. This was one of Durant's most efficient games of the season, but then again, it's also just a good example of what he does. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:11 pm
  • Draymond Green scores 2 with 13 dimes
Draymond Green missed all four of his shots and scored just two points on Thursday, but also had nine rebounds, 13 assists and two blocks in 30 minutes of Thursday's blowout win over the Suns.

Advice: The bottom line is that Dray simply doesn't need to score on this team and he tied his season low with two points tonight. But he can also score when necessary and was averaging 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.1 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 3-pointers per game coming into this one. That's awfully close to triple-double territory, which is why he's still one of the top players in fantasy despite not being much of a scorer on a stacked team. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:09 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard scores 31 points on 13 FGAs
Kawhi Leonard was on fire early in a 134-94 win over the Lakers on Thursday, making 10-of-13 from the field for 31 points with two rebounds, two assists, two steals, three 3-pointers and no turnovers in just 26 minutes.

Advice: His 24 points in the first half was a career high and he also made 8-of-9 from the line for some magnificent efficiency. Leonard became the only player to score at least 30 points in fewer than 29 minutes in multiple games this season -- he scored 30 in 27 minutes on Dec. 10. His offense may have caught up to his defense. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 9:04 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 21 in 32 minutes
Wilson Chandler scored 21 points in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday, adding eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He likes playing overseas and tore it up in China during the NBA lockout season. After a sub-par finish to his 2016, Chandler is rolling in 2017 with averages of 17.4 points, 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.0 treys. He is a bit of a sell-high player due to trade rumors and being injury prone. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 2:44 pm
  • Klay Thompson will play on Thursday night
Klay Thompson will play against the Pistons on Thursday.

Advice: After getting Tuesday off, Thompson is ready to roll. "It was good for me in the long run," Thompson said about his rest. Even with Kevin Durant around, Thompson's usage rate has only dropped 1.2 percent from last year. His efficiency has also dropped due mostly to a dip in catch-and-shoot treys. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 12:25 pm
  • Mudiay, Harris, Gallo, Chandler & Jokic start
Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinaro, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic will start against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets go back to their usual starting lineup with most of their depth set for this one -- Darrell Arthur (leg) is out. Chandler should be looking at minutes in the low 30s, assuming his illness doesn't limit him. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 11:59 am
  • Wilson Chandler will play in London
Wilson Chandler (illness) will play in London against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: He popped up on the injury report earlier today and it sounds like he's good to go. He'll obviously be a risky DFS play because he may not be able to finish the game. With Darrell Arthur (leg) out, Chandler has a good chance to start. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 11:39 am
  • Austin Rivers returns in 33 mins Wednesday
Austin Rivers (illness) returned to action on Wednesday with nine points, five assists, four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: Rivers moved back into the starting five alongside Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Luc Mbah a Moute and DeAndre Jordan, as the Clippers continue to go small in the absence of Blake Griffin (knee). He's worth a glance if you need points, 3-pointers and a dash of assists, but he's not a well-rounded roto option. Rotoworld.com Jan 11, 11:30 pm
  • Aaron Gordon scores 28 points on 11-of-17 FGs
Aaron Gordon made 11-of-17 shots to finish Wednesday's road loss with a game-high 28 points, four 3-pointers, three rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes.

Advice: Gordon scored a career-high 33 points in his last game vs. the Clippers on Dec. 14, but unfortunately this is the last time he'll face them this season. He was coming off a dreadful two-point game, and he saw extra opportunities tonight with Serge Ibaka (shoulder) on the sidelines, but that's no reason to downplay tonight's performance. He was aggressive all night and seems to have found his sweet spot in the offense -- excluding Sunday's dud, he's averaging 20.8 points on 50.8 percent shooting in his past four games. Needless to say, he shouldn't be on your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 11, 11:08 pm
