  • Derrick Favors double-doubles in loss
Derrick Favors double-doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds vs. the Thunder on Monday.

Advice: This was just his third double-double of his disappointing season. Favors logged 27 minutes and hit 5-fo-12 shots with two steals and two turnovers. As underwhelming as Favors has been, he hasn't seen less than 24 minutes in a game since Jan. 2 and should only trend up after the All-Star break. He's a buy-low option, but not one that comes without risk. Rotoworld.com 51 minutes ago
  • Gordon Hayward scores 17 in loss
Gordon Hayward scored 17 points in Monday's loss to the Thunder, snapping a six-game winning streak for the Jazz.

Advice: "It was a tough game for us," Hayward said. "I felt like they made the plays when they needed to and we didn't. It's a frustrating one, but it's one you have to try and let go and move on." The Jazz are one of the hottest teams in the West right now and they're still not even at full strength with Rodney Hood (knee) out. The Jazz are just one loss behind the fourth-seeded Clippers and have every reason to keep giving Hayward big minutes the rest of the way. He shot 6-of-17 from the field in the loss and added six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two triples. Rotoworld.com 55 minutes ago
  • Alec Burks scores 13 points in loss to OKC
Alec Burks scored 13 points for the second straight game on Monday vs. the Thunder, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line with two rebounds and two assists in a season-high 25 minutes

Advice: Burks is now in the rotation with Rodney Hood (knee) out and he played 19 minutes in his previous outing. "Being out for so long, it's hard to get back into the rhythm, but I'm getting there. I feel like I'm getting better," Burks said. "I feel more comfortable with my teammates. I'm making progress." Burks took an ill-advised shot in the final seconds of the two-point loss, but the fact that he was even in there suggests that he will be a big part of Utah's plans in the short term. If you have something to cut in a deep league, give Burks a look since the Jazz play three more times this week. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:29 pm
  • Jerami Grant returns to bench Monday
Jerami Grant returned to the bench on Monday vs. the Jazz and scored two points in 19 minutes.

Advice: Steven Adams (concussion) returned to the starting lineup and looked healthy in 37 minutes, so Grant's owners should look elsewhere for production. The blocks specialist shot 1-of-3 from the field and added two rebounds, one assist and one block. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:21 pm
  • Steven Adams blocks four shots in return
Steven Adams (concussion) returned from a two-game absence on Monday vs. the Jazz and scored nine points with six rebounds, one assist and four blocks.

Advice: The Thunder didn't waste any time easing him back into action by giving the big man a 37-minute workload. Rudy Gobert usually shuts down opposing centers, so Adams' owners should take this line and run. Adams will be a strong play against a Pelicans team on Wednesday that could be without Anthony Davis (quad). Rotoworld.com Today, 10:14 pm
  • Stephen Curry scores 20 vs. the Heat
Stephen Curry scored 20 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists, one block and three triples vs. the Heat on Monday.

Advice: He finished 7-of-19 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line with four turnovers in 37 minutes. This was his second 20/10 game of the season and he matched his season high with 10 rebounds. Curry is trending up in the new year and he's averaging 80.5 touches per game with 5.4 seconds per touch in January compared to 76 touches and 4.7 seconds per touch before Jan. 1, and his owners can expect another strong performance in a homecoming game in Charlotte on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:02 pm
  • Justin Holiday scores 13 points in win
Justin Holiday played 32 minutes and hit 4-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, three rebounds, three steals and two blocks in Monday's 109-103 win over the Pacers.

Advice: He's coming off the bench, but is making some noise, averaging 10.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.4 3-pointers on 53 percent shooting over his last five games. His 32 minutes were easily his most since Dec. 28, so it's possible he's on the verge of getting hot. Just keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:54 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 27 points in loss
Kevin Durant scored 27 points on 12-of-23 shooting in a loss to the Heat on Monday.

Advice: The Warriors had their seven-game winning streak snapped by a Dion Waiters 3-pointer in the final seconds after KD tied the game at 102 apiece with a driving slam. Durant only hit 1-of-8 triples tonight, but added six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes. He's still the No. 1 overall player in standard fantasy leagues and we don't see that changing anytime soon. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:44 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis struggles vs. Pacers
Kristaps Porzingis hit just 3-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for eight points, four rebounds, a steal and a block in 25 minutes of Monday's 109-103 win over the Pacers.

Advice: Porzingis has been pretty quiet since returning from his Achilles injury three games ago and has yet to look like his old self. The Knicks are considering starting him at center and Joakim Noah played just 12 minutes tonight. The good news is the injury appears to be behind Porzingis and he should get back on track any day now. This looks like a good time to make a low-ball offer for the talented young big man. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:42 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside scores 10 points in win
Hassan Whiteside scored 10 points with 15 rebounds, one block and two steals vs. the Warriors on Monday.

Advice: The Heat have suddenly won four games in a row which is their longest streak of the season. Whiteside wasn't efficient tonight and hit 4-of-13 shots from the field and 2-of-5 from the line, but he played 36 minutes which suggests he's healthy after tweaking his ankle last week. HW has been a little disappointing this season, but his schedule looks tasty moving forward with three out of nine games against the Nets including on Wednesday night in Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:38 pm
  • Paul George's 31 not enough for Indy
Paul George hit 11-of-24 shots and 3-of-10 3-pointers for 31 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal in Monday's 109-103 loss to the Knicks.

Advice: George hadn't scored more than 24 points in any of his previous six games, so it was nice to see him break out of a min-funk tonight. He's averaging 22.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.6 3-pointers on 47 percent shooting over his last five. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:29 pm
  • C.J. Miles starts, scores 10 for Pacers
C.J. Miles replaced Glenn Robinson in the starting lineup on Monday and hit 4-of-14 shots and 2-of-9 3-pointers for 10 points, three rebounds, a steal and a block in a 109-103 loss to the Knicks.

Advice: Miles can get hot at any time, but is currently not feeling it, hitting just 29 percent of his shots over his last five games. He's worth keeping an eye on if he sticks in the starting lineup, but he's injury prone and is averaging just 6.8 points and 1.4 3-pointers over his last five. But he's also set to get a boost if Monta Ellis misses time with his sprained ankle, so now might be a good time to think about taking a flier on Miles. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:25 pm
  • Willie Cauley-Stein scores 12 in win
Willie Cauley-Stein came off the bench and played 21 minutes with 12 points, five rebounds, a steal and a block on 5-of-8 shooting in Monday's 109-104 win over the Pistons.

Advice: The Kings are still trying to figure out how to replace Rudy Gay (Achilles, out for season), and WCS played well tonight. The 21 minutes were easily a high for WCS in January and while he's far from worth owning right now, he at least deserves to be on watch lists after this game. Anthony Tolliver played an empty 24 minutes yet again, while Matt Barnes, Garrett Temple and Cauley-Stein all played fairly well. But the bottom line is that the Kings are going to miss Gay dearly, and none of the aforementioned fill-ins are must-own players at this point. We'd rank them Temple, Barnes, Tolliver, Cauley-Stein for now. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:12 pm
  • Greg Monroe returns to form w/ 17 and 10
Greg Monroe returned to form on Monday vs. the Rockets with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Advice: Monroe was held to single-digit points and minutes in the teens in his previous three outings, but he broke out of his slump tonight in a big way. He logged 27 minutes compared to 20 for starting center Miles Plumlee, finishing 7-of-13 from the field with one assist and three steals. "I thought Moose [Monroe] was great," Kidd said after the game. "I thought our bench was better today." Monroe has been all over the place this season with one of the most volatile roles in the league, but he's worth owning in standard leagues and could potentially benefit from a possible trade. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:03 pm
  • Garrett Temple scores 11 in start for Kings
Garrett Temple started and played 34 minutes on Monday, finishing with 11 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in a 109-104 win over the Pistons.

Advice: Temple is averaging 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five games, and will continue to see heavy minutes with Rudy Gay's season over due to a ruptured achilles tendon. But if you want to drop Temple for a red-hot Dion Waiters, it makes sense. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:01 pm
  • Steven Adams (concussion) will play Monday
Steven Adams (concussion) will play on Monday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: He returns just in time to face Rudy Gobert. The matchup is brutal, but season-long owners can activate Adams in lineups after a two-game absence. Barring a surprise, Jerami Grant will return to the bench with Adams back in action. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:41 pm
  • C.J. Miles starting, Glenn Robinson to bench
C.J. Miles will start in place of Glenn Robinson III on Monday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: The Pacers have lost two straight games and coach Nate McMillan wants to shake things up. Miles has been held to single-digit points in his last four games, but maybe the move into the first unit will get him going. Put him on your radar if you need 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Today, 4:23 pm
  • Knicks to use normal starters Monday
The Knicks are not expected to change their starting lineup on Monday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Coach Jeff Hornacek said he may consider moving Kristaps Porzingis to the five, but for now he's planning on starting Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee, Carmelo Anthony, Porzingis and Joakim Noah vs. the Pacers. We'll have official confirmation before tip-off, but Porzingis is an elite play regardless of where he starts the game. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:05 am
  • Seth Curry hits 6-of-8 shots for 14 points
Seth Curry went 6-of-8 from the field during Sunday's blowout win over the Lakers, on his way to 14 points, two boards, two 3-pointers, three assists, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: Curry had the hot hand early, and he didn't even miss his first shot until midway through the second quarter. The Mavs ended the first half with a season-high 29-point lead and finished the game with a season-best 49-point win (the third-largest victory in Mavs history). As for Curry, he's jumped into the mid-round equation over the past month, and he could be looking at a more active role in the offense if Wesley Matthews (hip) is forced to miss any time. He's worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:25 pm
  • Steven Adams (concussion) held to non-contact
Steven Adams (concussion) was limited to non-contact work on Sunday, and his status remains unclear for Monday's game in Utah.

Advice: Adams did travel with the team for their road game, which is a good sign, but owners will have to wait until shootaround for another update. OKC has four games next week, so even if Adams sits on Monday he could still have a productive slate. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:03 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 15 points with full line
Kevin Durant posted his 17th double-double of the season on Sunday, racking up 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one 3-pointer, three steals, two blocks and one turnover in 29 minutes.

Advice: If there’s one negative thing we could say about Durant, it’s that he’s been a pretty awful screen setter for the Dubs this season. Luckily, screen setting is not a category in fantasy hoops, and in all that statistical categories that matter, The Duranchula is an absolute monster. He's hitting career-highs in boards (8.5), blocks (1.7) and field goal percentage (54.6) which are just a few reasons why he ranks No. 1 overall this year. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:30 am
  • Stephen Curry drains seven triples in win
Stephen Curry was en fuego during the Warriors 118-98 blowout victory over the Magic, tallying 27 points, seven 3-pointers, four boards, six assists and three turnovers in 30 minutes of floor time.

Advice: Orlando had precisely zero answers for Curry in this one, as he regularly lit them up from beyond the arc (as per usual) and also showcased his elite passing and decision making abilities during the blowout win. He was the primary factor in Golden State going off for 42 points during the third quarter (their 11th time scoring at least 40 points in a quarter this season), and he may have had an even crazier game if it weren’t for the lopsided score. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:21 am
  • Steven Adams (concussion) will travel to Utah
Steven Adams (concussion) is traveling to Utah for Monday's game against the Jazz.

Advice: There's no word that he's officially cleared the league mandated concussion protocol testing, but him traveling with the team is an encouraging sign. Owners can expect to get another update following Monday morning's shootaround, and if he is able to get back to the court, Jerami Grant would more than likely return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:05 am
  • Alec Burks looks great vs. Pacers
Alec Burks scored 13 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: This was the Burks we were expecting after the Rodney Hood injury (knee) last weekend. He did run some of the second-unit offense and attacked like he has done throughout his career. Most fantasy owners can take a wait-and-see approach here. Joe Ingles has a strong grip on his role as the short-term starter, playing 33 minutes with two points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:15 pm
  • Garrett Temple plays 30 minutes in loss
Garrett Temple scored eight points with three rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and one 3-pointer on Saturday against the Bulls.

Advice: He is averaging 30.2 minutes, 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his last five. With Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season, Temple should continue to see consistent minutes and is worth adding off of waivers in many leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:03 pm
  • Greg Monroe plays just 17 minutes Saturday
Greg Monroe came off the bench, as usual, but played just 17 minutes and finished with nine points, six rebounds and nothing else.

Advice: Starter John Henson had 11 points, nine rebounds and a block and played 22 minutes tonight, while Miles Plumlee didn't get into the game. Monroe's minutes are nosediving again, as he's played 18 or fewer of them in each of his last three games. He's been one of the most frustrating players to own this season and owners have to hope his minutes rebound again soon. But for now, he probably deserves a spot on the bench in weekly leagues if he's only going to get 16 minutes a night. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:37 pm
  • Paul George ejected after fouling out
Paul George was ejected for arguing with a ref on Saturday night in Utah.

Advice: He fouled out anyway, so the ejection didn't hurt his playing time. George did have some things to say to the ref and he does have a track record for comments about officials, so he could be fined. We would be very surprised if he is suspended or anything. George finished with 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:09 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis scores 14 in 33 minutes
Kristaps Porzingis played 33 minutes, hit 7-of-13 shots and scored 14 points on Saturday, but the good news ends there.

Advice: He didn't hit a 3-pointer (0-for-3), had just one rebound, one steal, one block and two assists in the loss. The good news is that he's back and playing solid minutes, but his numbers over his last two games have not been impressive. Hopefully it's just rust after missing four games with an achilles injury, but he's clearly not back to 100 percent just yet. Hopefully he turns it around against the Pacers on Monday, but there are signs he's not far off, as he's hit 16-of-30 shots in his two games since returning. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:45 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside double-doubles vs. the Bucks
Hassan Whiteside scored 16 points with 15 rebounds and two blocks in Saturday's win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Whiteside recorded his 27th double-double of the season and continues to play well for the Heat. After rolling his ankle in the last game, he did not appear to have any lingering effects tonight. He's averaging career highs in minutes, points and rebounds. Aside from his poor free throw shooting, there's still hope for his owners to get what they paid for on draft day. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:27 pm
  • Porzingis starting, Kuzminskas to bench
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will start and Mindaugas Kuzminskas will come off the bench against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: The Knicks are playing their old lineup here and will shift Carmelo Anthony back to the three. We'll see how the Knicks stagger KP, which was a good plan earlier this season. Porzingis should be all set in a fantastic matchup today. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:06 pm
  • Steven Adams still in the protocol
Steven Adams (concussion) is still in the league's concussion protocol.

Advice: It's possible he won't travel for Monday's game and the team won't know until tomorrow. The game is in Utah, so you can bet Enes Kanter will be getting big minutes regardless. Domantas Sabonis and Jerami Grant have stepped up, as well. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 11:26 am
  • Willie Cauley-Stein frustrated in Sacramento
Willie Cauley-Stein is frustrated with his lack of playing time and production this season.

Advice: "I feel I was showing stuff at the end of last season that would make people say, ‘Oh, damn, they got a steal in the draft,’ " Cauley-Stein said. "Now it’s like I took 25 steps forward and 30 steps back. It’s like my whole rookie season didn’t matter and I’m back at square one. Nothing I did last year is having an effect on my career. It’s been very frustrating." After averaging 21.4 minutes per game last season, he's averaging just 10.9 this season. And he's averaging just 6.4 minutes per contest over the last month. He can obviously be left on the waiver wires for now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:19 am
  • Alec Burks gets just 12 minutes
Alec Burks played 12 minutes against the Mavs on Friday with seven points, two rebounds and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He actually got some run at point guard tonight, but clearly the Jazz aren't ready up Burks' minutes so soon with the team playing well. If you haven't dropped him yet, we'll let you know if he pops back up. It does help that the Jazz seem pretty clueless on their backup point guard right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:18 am
  • Derrick Favors doesn't do much vs. Dallas
Derrick Favors scored five points with four rebounds, one block and four fouls in 26 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: The minutes were on the rise, but Boris Diaw having a solid game and Favors getting into some foul trouble cost him a bit. We'll see how the Jazz play it at home against the Pacers, but Favors should be in the 24-30 window. He's starting to trend up for his patient fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:16 am
  • Gordon Hayward hurts hand, scores 26
Gordon Hayward scored 26 points with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: He did hurt his hand and the team had to call timeout to stop the game because he was in so much pain. Hayward looked fine after that, but he sure does have a lot of hand injuries this year. Hayward has been wonderful since returning from a hand injury to start the year, posting third-round value per game on the season. He also ran the offense tonight in a no-PG lineup for eight minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:50 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 32 points in win at HOU
Kevin Durant was on his A game during a 125-108 win in Houston on Friday, making 12-of-19 from the field for 32 points with four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He was just awesome on the defensive end in what has been an underrated part of his game in his career. The Warriors also made all of their shots off KD passes today. Obviously, it's about his offense and you may need a microscope to spot a KD slump. Durant has turned in a true shooting percentage below 60 in two consecutive games in just one instance this year. That and the stats across the board make him fantasy's No. 1 player this season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:28 pm
  • Paul George scores 21 points in loss
Paul George scored 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers in Friday's loss to the Lakers.

Advice: George's name has popped up in the rumor a couple times this season, but Pacers president Larry Bird reiterated his desire to keep PG-13 in Indiana for the long term. "Before the year started, I told Paul and I said, ‘Look, if you want to sign a long-term deal, we’re willing to do that max [contract] and if you want to wait, I understand.’ But this year, we’re not going to worry about it, we’re not going to talk about it and he’s going to make the decision that’s best for Paul when it comes down to it." George has a player option for the 2018-19 season, but his contract situation isn't a pressing issue right now and is not a concern for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:20 pm
  • Stephen Curry scores 24 points
Stephen Curry scored 24 points against the Rockets on Friday with one rebound, seven assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: The Warriors continue to get him more touches as the facilitator of the offense. Curry's disappointing December by his standards is way behind him and he can chalk it up to the X's and O's of the offense. Not that any Curry owner should've been worried, but he's back to being that team-carrying guy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:20 pm
  • Garrett Temple scores 14 points in start
Garrett Temple started on Friday vs. the Grizzlies and scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 33 minutes.

Advice: He was the only starter to eclipse 30 minutes in the blowout, so it's safe to say that the workload will be there with Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season. Temple added three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples and was averaging 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season, so pick him up if those stats fit your team well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:51 pm
  • Greg Monroe plays 14 minutes in loss to ORL
Greg Monroe played just 14 minutes in Friday's loss to the Magic and scored seven points on 2-of-7 shooting.

Advice: The worst nightmare for Monroe's owners came true on Friday as the Bucks used a three-man rotation at center for the first time since November (with the exception of garbage time) -- Miles Plumlee and John Henson each played 16 minutes. Hopefully the lopsided score had something to do with it, but this is worth keeping an eye on during Saturday's game vs. the Heat. Monroe added five rebounds, one assist and one steal, and he's still a hold in standard leagues despite scoring just two points in 18 minutes in his previous outing. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:58 pm
  • Garrett Temple starting vs. the Grizzlies
Garrett Temple is starting vs. the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: Rudy Gay (Achilles) is out for the season and Temple and Matt Barnes will likely see the biggest bump in minutes. Temple doesn't have great upside, but he did put up averages of 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season. Give him a look if has a strong game tonight. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:58 pm
  • Steven Adams remains in concussion protocol
Steven Adams (concussion) has not yet been cleared to return to play, as he is still in concussion protocol.

Advice: Adams has missed each of the Thunder's last two games. Fortunately, OKC doesn't play again until Monday vs. Utah, which gives Adams a few extra days to recuperate. Check back in over the weekend for an update on his status. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:55 am
  • Hassan Whiteside has quiet night vs. Mavs
Hassan Whiteside hit 6-of-12 shots for 13 points with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in Thursday’s win against the Mavs.

Advice: Whiteside briefly left the game after rolling his ankle, but was able to return. He also took a hit to the throat, but was fine after a timeout. Clearly it was not his night. This was his sixth game this season with fewer than 10 rebounds and his fifth game without a block. He has scored in double figures in his five games since returning from his eye injury. The Heat face the Bucks on Saturday who are giving up 14.8 rebounds per game to opposing centers, so Whiteside should bounce back nicely. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:09 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis looks good in his return
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) returned from a four-game absence during a 113-110 loss to the Wizards on Thursday, playing 29 minutes with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: He looked healthy and played 17 minutes at center in this game, which is way more than he's been averaging. The Knicks were 5-0 without Joakim Noah (ankle) before this game, so there should be more of KP at the five going forward. Obviously his fantasy owners don't really care as long as his Achilles is healthy. The Knicks may be careful with their prized player, so his owners will need to be on the lookout for rest on back-to-backs sets. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:53 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis coming off the bench
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) is coming off the bench in his return to the lineup on Thursday.

Advice: The Knicks will stick with their winning lineup from Wednesday in Boston: Ron Baker, Derrick Rose, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Kyle O'Quinn. The Knicks are fully expected to limit Porzingis in his return, but he should be in your season-long lineups. We'll see where he gets his minutes with plenty of talk about him playing more center. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:30 pm
  • West All-Star starters named on Thursday
Stephen Curry, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis were named as the Western Conference All-Star starters.

Advice: That's right. Russell Westbrook is averaging a triple-double and he's not going to be starting the All-Star Game. Westbrook is also on pace for the record for usage rate and is second in the NBA in assists per game. Curry got a bump to get the nod over Westy due to the fan voting, but he's certainly playing like an All-Star. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:14 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis available to play vs. WAS
An MRI of Kristaps Porzingis' left Achilles confirmed no structural damage and he will be available to play on Thursday against the Wizards.

Advice: This is wonderful news on the future of the franchise. Porzingis has missed the last four games and he also missed three games from Dec. 31 to Jan. 4 for the same reason, so the Knicks will likely be careful on him tonight. Additionally, there is a lot of talk of Porzingis playing more at the five, so that will be something to watch for tonight. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Willy Hernangomez take some hits here. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:59 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis hopes to play on Saturday
Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) said he's "90 percent ready" and he is hopeful to play on Saturday vs. the Suns.

Advice: He hasn't been officially ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Wizards, but it sure sounds like he's not planning to play. Porzingis is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday morning, so his plans for Saturday could change too based on the results. "Still not there yet," Porzingis said. "I have to be really careful of how much I do and how explosive the movements are. If not I get a little pinch again in the heel down there where the Achilles starts." We should have an update this afternoon, but Mindaugas Kusminskas looks like a nice short-term pickup and he's coming off a 17-point effort on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:25 am
  • Paul George scores 24 points vs. Kings
Paul George scored 24 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in a 106-100 win over the Kings on Wednesday.

Advice: You could say this was the best win for the Pacers, coming back from a 22-point deficit to get a road win. The Pacers ended 2016 on a serious down note with five losses in their final six games. Well, 2017 has been the opposite, winning six of their first seven games. George is starting to trend up again with second-round value so far in 2017. He could flirt with first-round value going forward. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:05 pm
  • Hello Again: Kevin Durant gets 40 pts vs. OKC
Kevin Durant was phenomenal against his former team on Wednesday, scoring a season-high 40 points (13-of-16 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs) with 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and five 3-pointers.

Advice: "It's never going to be a regular game for me," Durant said prior to the game. "I'm sure it will [be emotional]. It's people I've been with for so long and to see them again, yeah, they'll be some emotions. But I've still got a job to do." He did his job at an MVP level tonight, playing with a little extra juice against Russell Westbrook and co., and he continues to hold off all challengers for No. 1 fantasy value in 9-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:38 pm
  • Jerami Grant quiet in 29 minutes as starter
Jerami Grant started Wednesday's game but he didn't do much, scoring seven points with one rebound, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 29 minutes.

Advice: Steven Adams (concussion) was out again tonight and Grant continues to start, but it's Enes Kanter who gains the most in this situation. Grant can be left on the wire in almost all scenarios, especially since the Thunder are off until Monday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:25 pm
  • Garrett Temple drops nine points in 29 mins
Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with nine points, four rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He should be getting a big bump in usage and playing time with Rudy Gay (Achilles). In the previous stretch Gay missed 10 of 11 games, Temple averaged 10.2 points, 3.4 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 treys on 42.4 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the line. That was good for eighth-round value, so he is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:15 pm
  • Jerami Grant starting again
Jerami Grant will start again on Wednesday against the Warriors.

Advice: The Warriors attack Enes Kanter like he is four feet tall, so the Thunder will go small again with Domantas Sabonis shifting over to the five. Both Grant and Sabonis are worth using in DFS tonight while Grant is worth a look for short-term value. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:13 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis set to undergo an MRI
Kristaps Porzingis is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sore left Achilles on Thursday.

Advice: "He’s fine if he’s shooting a jump shot or something, but when he really pushes off hard to drive the ball he’s feeling a little pinch in the heel," said head coach Jeff Hornacek. "They’re giving him treatment and trying to get rid of that but I think that’s the last step and then he can play." Porzingis will miss his fourth consecutive game on Wednesday, but we should get a better idea on his potential return date once the MRI results are released. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:02 pm
  • Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) out Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will not play Wednesday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: He's still dealing with soreness in his left Achilles, so the Knicks will continue to take an extremely cautious approach with their franchise big man. Joakim Noah (ankle) did not participate during shootaround and is looking doubtful, so we could see a lot of Kyle O'Quinn and Willy Hernangomez operating at the five-spot today, with Mindaugas Kusminskas earning another start at the four sans Porzingis. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:35 am
  • Steven Adams (concussion) out Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Steven Adams has officially been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Warriors.

Advice: He's still going through the league mandated concussion protocol testing, and he won't be able to return until he clears all the necessary steps. Because the Warriors like to play small, Jerami Grant could be looking at another start sans Adams, and Enes Kanter should see his minutes closer to the 30-minute mark. After Wednesday, the Thunder don't play again until Monday vs. the Jazz, so this might only end up being a two-game absence for Adams. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:57 pm
  • Steven Adams listed as out for Wednesday
Steven Adams (concussion) is being listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Warriors.

Advice: To be clear, this report is coming from the game notes, which are notoriously unreliable, so we'd recommend checking back for another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. Jerami Grant got the start in his place on Monday night vs. the Clippers, although the game was a massive blowout, so head coach Billy Donovan might want to rethink that strategy. If Adams can't give it a go on Wednesday, both Grant and Enes Kanter should see an uptick in minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:27 pm
  • Jerami Grant blocks three shots in start
Jerami Grant started in place of Steven Adams (concussion) against the Clippers on Monday and scored nine points on 3-of-4 shooting.

Advice: Grant logged a team-high 34 minutes and added eight rebounds, one assist, three triples and three blocks, but the Thunder only play one more time this week against the Warriors on Wednesday. Unless you're looking to stream some blocks in that contest, it's best to leave Grant on the wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 10:38 pm
  • Alec Burks fizzles in nine minutes
Alec Burks played just nine minutes and missed all four of his shots, failing to score a point in Monday's 106-101 win over the Suns.

Advice: Joe Ingles started for Rodney Hood (knee) and played well, and Joe Johnson was Joe Cool off the bench with 15 points and three 3-pointers, so Burks looks like the big loser in the Hood-injury sweepstakes. If you picked up Burks in hopes of a decent week, we'd recommend throwing him back and taking a flier on Ingles or Johnson, instead. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 9:16 pm
  • Stephen Curry hands out 11 assists in win
Stephen Curry scored 20 points and matched his season high with 11 assists in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Curry was quiet when these two teams met on Christmas day, but he looked much more comfortable out there this time. He finished 7-of-20 from the field and 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, adding two rebounds and four steals in 31 minutes. Curry has been a new player since the turn of the year and was averaging 29.2 points, 6.2 assists and 4.2 3-pointers in his previous six January games. This is the Curry fantasy owners spent a top-3 pick on. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 7:55 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 21 on 9-of-16 FGs
Kevin Durant scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Durant had three blocks on the night including a massive rejection on a LeBron James dunk attempt (link below). He added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and three triples, but only played 29 minutes in the blowout win. Durant should be a popular DFS target on Wednesday vs. Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. The last time those two teams met, Durant had 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 7:50 pm
  • Jerami Grant will start vs. the Clippers
Jerami Grant will start against the Clippers on Monday.

Advice: Steven Adams (concussion) is out, but it was initially believed that Enes Kanter would move into the starting five after he was listed as a probable starter. Instead, the Thunder will go with a frontcourt of Grant and Domantas Sabonis to match up with the small-ball lineup of the Clippers. Grant is just a short-term option for owners in need of a couple blocks. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 7:27 pm
  • Paul George scores 19 points in win
Paul George scored 19 points in Monday's win over the Pelicans, but only shot 6-of-17 from the field.

Advice: PG-13 added six assists, five rebounds, two steals, two triples and three turnovers in 34 minutes, but he's really cooled off in his last three games. He's averaging 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.6 triples in that span, shooting a combined 15-of-45 from the field (33.3 percent). He has two cupcake matchups against the Kings and Lakers up next, so expect him to get it going sooner rather than later. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 4:20 pm
  • Greg Monroe scores 14 in 21 minutes
Greg Monroe scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting in Monday's loss to the 76ers.

Advice: "Moose" only played 21 minutes in this one, as the Bucks opted to roll with John Henson for his defense against Joel Embiid. Monroe was still productive with six rebounds, two assists and one steal, but his owners can expect a stronger performance and larger workload on Wednesday vs. Houston. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 3:53 pm
  • Steven Adams (concussion) out Monday vs. LAC
Steven Adams has been diagnosed with a concussion and he will not play Monday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Adams won't be able to return until he clears the league-mandated concussion protocol testing, and whether or not Enes Kanter moves into the starting five, he's sure to be flirting with minutes in the 30s so he could have a huge game tonight. For now, we'll be considering Adams questionable for Wednesday's game in Golden State. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 11:58 am
  • Steven Adams scores six points, exits game
Steven Adams (head) scored six points with four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes against the Kings on Sunday.

Advice: Adams left the game after hitting his head on the floor and never returned, as he was being evaluated for a concussion. The Thunder play against the Clippers on Monday, so if Adams did indeed suffer a concussion, he will almost certainly miss that contest. If that is the case, Enes Kanter will see a boost and becomes an enticing DFS value play. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:42 pm
  • Justin Holiday scores 17 points off the bench
Justin Holiday scored 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting Sunday, to go with three 3-pointers, three boards, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 26 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Holiday also went 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, giving him a sterling true shooting percentage of 83.3 on the evening. The blowout nature of the game, partnered with Lance Thomas (orbital fracture) going down early with an injury helped Holiday get some extended minutes, and it'll be interesting to see if he can keep his momentum going into Monday's matchup with the Hawks. This is a wait-and-see situation in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 3:22 pm
  • Stephen Curry intends to re-sign with GSW
Stephen Curry made it clear once again that he will re-sign with the Warriors this summer.

Advice: "I can’t," Curry said when asked if he could see himself leaving the Warriors as a free agent. "Like I’ve said from Day 1 when I was first asked about free agency, this is a perfect place to play. Bay Area fans are amazing, our organization’s amazing, we’ve put together an amazing team that’s competing for championships every year." Under the new CBA, the Warriors could potentially offer Curry a five-year extension worth about $209 million, while opposing teams would only be able to offer a four-year deal worth about $133 million. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:52 am
  • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks said he's close to 100 percent after his eight-point game in 15 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: He said he's been waiting for this for "like a year" and he said he knew he was ready to play. Burks acknowledged he had a serious injury and he's still improving. He said he wanted to get to the rim more and he plans on doing that more as he gets more comfortable. With Rodney Hood (knee) possibly missing time, Burks is a speculative add in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 2:17 am
  • Derrick Favors plays 31 minutes vs. Magic
Derrick Favors hit 7-of-12 shots for 17 points with six rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes against the Magic on Saturday.

Advice: Favors played big minutes on the second game of a back-to-back, but he only played 27 minutes in yesterday’s blowout win against the Pistons. This was the second time since returning from injury that he plays at least 30 minutes. The increase in minutes is a big positive, so he's trending up. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:33 pm
  • Dante Exum a non-factor vs. Orlando
Dante Exum scored two points in seven minutes with one assist in Saturday’s win against the Magic.

Advice: Exum appears to have fallen behind in Utah’s backcourt rotation. Alec Burks is back in the picture and played well tonight, so Exum could continue to struggle for playing time in the foreseeable future. He should not be owned in any format. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:18 pm
  • Alec Burks scores eight points in 14 mins
Alec Burks played 14 minutes and scored eight points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in Saturday’s 114-107 victory of the Magic.

Advice: Burks was recalled from the D-League on Jan. 12 and could hang around for a while, as Rodney Hood (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee in tonight’s game. He has only appeared in six games for the Jazz this season, but could see a larger role if Hood misses any time. He looked good tonight and can play multiple positions for Utah. That being said, for now, Burks can be left on waivers, but he is someone worth keeping an eye on. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:12 pm
  • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks will be in the rotation with Joe Johnson (rest) out on Saturday against the Magic.

Advice: We saw Burks get five minutes on Friday night, but he didn't play well on the offensive side. The Jazz loved him at times last year with some point guard minutes, but he's in a tight spot for minutes. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 4:49 pm
  • Derrick Favors held to nine points in win
Derrick Favors scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting vs. the Pistons on Friday.

Advice: While he didn't play well, it was still encouraging to see Favors log 27 minutes in the blowout. He added eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal, but his owners are going to have to be patient with him as he works his way back into shape. Don't be surprised if the Jazz limit his minutes on Saturday vs. Orlando on the second night of a back-to-back set. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 11:13 pm
  • Greg Monroe double-doubles vs. Heat
Greg Monroe double-doubled vs. the Heat on Friday with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Advice: He only hit 5-of-13 shots, but hit all six of his free throws with one turnover in 25 minutes. "[Monroe] has been playing at a very high level for us, being that star off the bench that we need," head coach Jason Kidd said. "He’s being a leader with that group." Monroe said that he's not thinking about his $17.8 million player option for the 2017-18 season, but it's one of the reasons why his name has been tossed around in trade rumors. With the way he's been playing lately, the Bucks may want to hold onto him. He's the center fantasy owners want to own in Milwaukee. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 8:19 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside scores 19 vs. Bucks
Hassan Whiteside scored 19 points vs. the Bucks on Friday with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was just his fifth game of the season with less than 10 rebounds and his fourth without a block, but that's a testament to his consistency. He finished 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line, but unfortunately this was the second and final game for the Heat in Week 12. The Heat will now return home from a six-game road trip and will face the Rockets on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 7:43 pm
  • Steph Curry has 5 steals, 3 treys in win
Stephen Curry hit 9-of-17 shots and 3-of-9 3-pointers for 24 points, two rebounds, six assists, five steals and a season-high eight turnovers in Thursday's blowout win over the Suns.

Advice: His previous season high in TOs was six, so he was a bit uncharacteristic tonight. He also sat out the fourth quarter in another Warriors' blowout, which is pretty much the only downside to his game right now. He's scored between 22 and 40 points in all six of his January games and is shooting 48 percent this month. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:14 pm
  • Kevin Durant scores 25 on 10-of-15 shooting
Kevin Durant hit 10-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 25 points, six rebounds, nine assists and a steal in Thursday's blowout 127-107 win over the Pistons.

Advice: He stayed in the game for a lot of fourth-quarter garbage time when Stephen Curry and most other starters were resting, giving him a nice boost in DFS. This was one of Durant's most efficient games of the season, but then again, it's also just a good example of what he does. Rotoworld.com Jan 12, 10:11 pm
