• Signs three-year deal with Dallas
Marshall has agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Mavericks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: Marshall has spent all four years of his career with the Pelicans, but he will now be joining the Mavericks who look to gear up for another deep run. The 26-year-old pro averaged 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 19.0 minutes per game across 66 appearances last season. Marshall could hold a sizeable role next year with Derrick Jones hitting free agency. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 pm
  • Woj: Mavs, Naji Marshall agree to three-year deal
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Mavericks and Naji Marshall have agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal.

Advice: A solid bench contributor for the Pelicans during his four seasons in New Orleans, Marshall is headed to Dallas for the next step in his career. Appearing in 66 games last season, he averaged 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.9 3-pointers in 19.0 minutes. Marshall’s signing calls into question the future of Derrick Jones Jr., who is also a free agent. Jones was a consistent starter for the Western Conference champions, and his exit would free up additional minutes for Marshall. In fact, Marshall could start if Dallas was unable to sign Klay Thompson. Rotoworld Today, 7:05 pm
  • Strikes deal with San Antonio
Paul agreed Sunday with the Spurs on a one-year deal worth at least $11 million, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.

Advice: After being waived by Golden State shortly before the start of the free-agent moratorium period that began Sunday at 6 p.m. ET, Paul quickly found a new home with the rebuilding Spurs. In San Antonio, the 39-year-old may not see a major increase in the 26.4 minutes per contest he averaged with the Warriors in 2023-24, though he should benefit from a spike in the career-low 15.4 percent usage rate he handled now that he's part of a far more green Spurs backcourt rather than one that includes established All-Star talents in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The Spurs could elect to deploy a rough platoon of Paul and Tre Jones at point guard, which would enable rookie first-round Stephon Castle pick to begin his career in the more familiar off-ball role that he filled at UConn. • Heading to Philadelphia
Gordon agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the 76ers on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Gordon spent the 2023-24 campaign in Phoenix and averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 three-pointers, 2.0 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game over 68 regular-season appearances. He's converted 38.5 percent of his 5.4 three-point attempts per game over the past three seasons and should be a solid perimeter presence for his new team, but the extent of his role will likely depend on whether the 76ers land Paul George in free agency. • Haynes: Chris Paul expected to sign with Spurs
According to TNT’s Chris Haynes, Chris Paul is expected to sign with the Spurs.

Advice: Waived by the Warriors on Sunday afternoon due to the team’s desire to avoid guaranteeing his $30 million salary for next season, Paul has been perceived as a player the Spurs wanted to add in free agency. San Antonio struggled mightily last season despite having rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama, and there was a dire need to improve the options at point guard. Paul certainly accomplishes that, and it’s fair to question the future of Tre Jones, as San Antonio selected Stephon Castle with the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft. Paul’s presence will benefit Wembanyama and Devin Vassell, and it should boost his value after an underwhelming 2023-24 with the Warriors. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Paul’s deal is worth $11 million for one season. Rotoworld Today, 5:36 pm
  • Shams: Eric Gordon signs with 76ers
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Eric Gordon has agreed to a deal with the 76ers.

Advice: The terms of the deal are not yet known, but Philly will add some needed shooting and another veteran presence. Gordon won’t make a huge splash for fantasy hoops managers, but the signing is a great real-life move for a 76ers team looking to contend in the Eastern Conference. Rotoworld Today, 5:33 pm
  • Plans to leave Clippers
George has informed the Clippers that he plans to sign with another team in free agency, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: George recently declined his $48.7 million player option with the Clippers, and he won't return to the team after the two sides had a meeting Sunday. The 76ers appear to be the favorites to sign the 34-year-old, but he'll presumably have offers from multiple suitors. Over 74 regular-season appearances last year, George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 33.8 minutes per game. Rotowire.com Today, 5:33 pm
  • Woj: LAC, Paul George ‘moving on from each other’
The Clippers and Paul George are “moving on from each other” after failing to agree to a new deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Advice: The lack of movement on a new deal prompted George to opt out of the final season of his contract and hit the market as an unrestricted free agent. Failure to make progress after that move likely means PG’s time as a Clipper has ended. TNT’s Chris Haynes reported Sunday afternoon that Philadelphia appeared to be the favorite to land George. With Orlando signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, George’s options are limited with his desire for a four-year deal. Rotoworld Today, 5:30 pm
  • Cade Cunningham to ink 5-year, $226M extension
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Cade Cunningham will sign a five-year, $226 million rookie extension with the Pistons.

Advice: Cunningham appeared in only 12 games in his second season due to a heel injury, but he bounced back and appeared in 62 games in 2023-24. Cunningham averaged 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.9 three-pointers, shooting 44.9% from the floor, 86.9% from the charity stripe and 35.5% from beyond the arc. Aside from the rebounds, the other numbers and the percentages were career highs for the Oklahoma State product. Availability will be a concern for Cunningham, but when healthy, he’s a stat-stuffer with early-round upside in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld Today, 5:29 pm
