  • Al Jefferson (ankle) ruled out for Tuesday
Al Jefferson (left ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup with Minnesota.

Advice: Nate McMillan said that at the very least he's expecting Jefferson to spend a couple days on the sidelines, and considering Jefferson was recently spotted on crutches and in a walking boot, we'd considered him doubtful for Wednesday's game in Memphis as well. Lavoy Allen and Kevin Seraphin will likely pick up most of Jefferson's minutes, but that really doesn't mean much at all in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:31 pm
    Injured

  • Joe Harris (shoulder) out Tuesday vs. 76ers
Joe Harris (shoulder) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.

Advice: He hasn't played since March 3 and is currently without an official timetable to return, so there's absolutely no reason to own him anywhere. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:00 pm
    Injured

  • Carlisle says Wesley Matthews is feeling fine
Rick Carlisle said that Wesley Matthews is "feeling fine" healthwise, and he's confident Matthews will soon be able to bust out of his shooting slump.

Advice: Through the month of March, Matthews has only managed to connect on 28.6 percent of his shot attempts, and in general, efficiency has been a major issue for him this season. He's just not the same player he was prior to the Achilles tear, and while it's unlikely he'll be this bad for the rest of the season, he's simply not doing enough right now to warrant a standard league roster spot. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:24 pm
  • Ish Smith will remain a starter on Monday
Ish Smith will remain in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Knicks.

Advice: This will be Smith's third start in a row, although it's worth pointing out that he hasn't exceeded 28-minute mark in any of those outings. The point guard situation in Detroit has entered value-killing timeshare territory with Reggie Jackson and Smith, so this is something that should be avoided in standard leagues. Joining Smith in the starting five will be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Marcus Morris, Tobias Harris and Andre Drummond. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:52 am
  • Kyle Korver (foot) will be re-evaluated Thurs
Kyle Korver (foot) said he will be re-evaluated prior to Thursday night's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: Korver will not play Monday vs. San Antonio, so J.R. Smith should be looking at minutes in the 30s tonight. Korver has now undergone two MRIs on his sore left foot, both of which have come back clean, but he acknowledged that his foot "never really felt all the way right," when he returned on March 19 from a seven-game absence. With the Cavs focused on the Finals, Korver may not play again during the regular-season, so he's a cut candidate in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:36 am
  • Taurean Prince expected to start again Tues
Mike Budenholzer said that Taurean Prince will more than likely earn another start on Tuesday vs. Phoenix.

Advice: Thabo Sefolosha (groin), Paul Millsap (knee) and Kent Bazemore (knee) will all be on the sidelines for Tuesday's game, so it would be surprising if Prince weren't in the starting lineup. In his first career start on Sunday, Prince popped off for 17 points, six boards, one assist, three steals, one block and two triples in 38 minutes, so he'll be someone to consider throwing out there as a streamer or DFS punt play on Tuesday night. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:22 am
  • Al Jefferson (ankle) out at least a few days
Al Jefferson (ankle) is expected to miss at least a few days according to coach Nate McMillan.

Advice: This means it's safe to rule him out for Tuesday's game vs. the Wolves. X-rays came back negative after he sprained his left ankle on Sunday, but Big Al woke up on Monday morning with a lot of swelling. He's also still on crutches and in a walking boot. In his absence, Lavoy Allen, Kevin Seraphin and Rakeem Christmas are all candidates for more minutes, but there are no fantasy pickups here. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:44 am
    Injured

  • Patrick Beverley won't be taking any time off
Patrick Beverley said the NBA's trend of resting players is a "disgrace to the association."

Advice: "I could care less about coaches asking players to rest or not. It's up to you to play or not, and if you don't, you're disrespecting the game," Beverley said. "And I don't believe in disrespecting the game, because there was a time where I wasn't playing in the NBA and I was trying to get here. So me resting, I feel like, is disrespecting me, disrespecting the name on the front of the jersey and disrespecting the name on the back of the jersey." The Rockets only have nine games remaining and are ahead of the Jazz by 7.0 games, but at least Beverley's owners don't have to worry about DNPs going forward. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:00 am
  • Raptors recall Bruno Caboclo
The Raptors have recalled Bruno Caboclo from the D-League.

Advice: He's nowhere close to being in the rotation and is also dealing with a bit of shoulder soreness. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:44 am
  • Kyle Korver (foot) ruled out for Monday
Kyle Korver (foot) will not play on Monday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Not good. He's dealing with left foot soreness again, the same issue that sidelined him for seven games earlier this month. Fantasy owners can't mess around during the playoffs, and considering coach Tyronn Lue doesn't know when the sharpshooter will return, it makes sense to evaluate other options. With Iman Shumpert (sore right knee) considered questionable, J.R. Smith should get a lot of burn. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:12 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins is questionable Monday
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Coach Alvin Gentry also said on Sunday that Cousins would be questionable, but he will likely end up being a game-time call since the Pelicans aren't expected to have a morning shootaround. Dante Cunningham could earn another start if Boogie sits, but he's not a good fantasy option. Instead, look for Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday to carry the Pelicans if Boogie can't go. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:35 am
  • Whiteside says playing w/ bandage is tough
Hassan Whiteside said that playing with his heavily wrapped right hand is "tough."

Advice: "It's tough rebounding. It's tough to do a lot," Whiteside said. "But I try to give everything I can possibly give to help the team." The big man is playing with 13 stitches in his right hand in addition to a tweaked right ankle, but with the Heat in a playoff race, he can't afford to take any time off. His fantasy owners don't mind, as he was still able to post a dominant line of 19 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal and a blocked shot in 30 minutes against the Celtics on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:32 am
  • Wade Baldwin was signed by MEM on Sunday March 26. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:11 am
  • Tyler Ennis scores season-high 14 points
Tyler Ennis took advantage of expanded minutes on Sunday to post a season-high 14 points (6-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with five assists, four steals and three rebounds in 26 minutes.

Advice: Ennis was a big winner in the rotation tonight as the only true guard in the second unit. He hit season-highs in nearly every category and benefited from L.A.'s unusual rotations in a blowout loss without Brandon Ingram (knee). We'll need to see a few more solid performances before approaching him as a fantasy pickup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:53 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson OK after hand injury Sunday
X-rays were negative on Jordan Clarkson's bruised fifth metacarpal on Sunday, and he returned to finish with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists, going 4-of-16 from the field with one 3-pointer.

Advice: Clarkson dropped a career-high 35 points on Friday and he seems to have avoided any serious injury tonight, although he was ice-cold after returning. "He has the ability to be so dynamic," Luke Walton said before the game. "He’s been one of our more consistent players." His long-term outlook is terrific, and barring a setback owners can also expect him to be ready for Tuesday's game vs. the Wizards. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:42 pm
  • Julius Randle cools off in loss to Blazers
Julius Randle cooled off during Sunday's lopsided defeat, scoring four points on 2-of-7 shooting with nine boards, two assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: He played 27 minutes and this was a big letdown after Friday's huge all-around game. Such is life for Randle's fantasy owners, who can anticipate a bigger line vs. the Wizards on Tuesday -- in his previous 10 games, Randle was averaging 14.7 points, 0.7 threes, 10.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:35 pm
  • Noah Vonleh grabs career-high 14 rebounds
Noah Vonleh racked up a career-high 14 rebounds in 26 minutes vs. the Lakers on Sunday, adding eight points on 4-of-8 shooting.

Advice: Vonleh posted 12 boards on Thursday vs. the Knicks and it didn't take him long to exceed that mark -- he could have gone even higher, but Portland's starters were reined in during tonight's blowout win. Vonleh is thriving lately and he's making the most of limited attempts on offense, but fantasy owners shouldn't rely on him in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:29 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) questionable Monday
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Jazz, according to coach Alvin Gentry.

Advice: For what it's worth, Cousins took some shots during halftime on Sunday with a pronounced limp. The Pelicans may not hold a shootaround prior to the second game in a back-to-back set, but owners should check for updates in the afternoon. Dante Cunningham will likely earn another start if Cousins isn't ready to go vs. Utah. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:40 pm
  • X-rays negative for Al Jefferson (left ankle)
X-rays were negative on Al Jefferson's sprained left ankle, and he was in good spirits after Sunday's game.

Advice: "Everything seemed normal so it's just an ankle sprain," Jefferson said. He was in a great deal of pain after the injury and left the court in a wheelchair, however, and the veteran center could easily miss extended time here. If he does get some DNPs, that would open up a few extra minutes for Lavoy Allen, Kevin Seraphin and Rakeem Christmas. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:23 pm
    Injured

  • Hassan Whiteside snags 15 boards in loss
Hassan Whiteside finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot over 30 minutes in Sunday's 112-108 loss against the Celtics.

Advice: Just another night at the office for Whiteside, who now has double-doubles in each of his 13 games in the month of March, and 15 straight games dating back to Feb. 24. He is also working on a streak with at least one blocked shot in 29 consecutive games since he was last held off the board Jan. 19 against the Mavericks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:47 pm
  • Al Jefferson (ankle) won't return Sunday
Al Jefferson won't return after spraining his left ankle during Sunday's game vs. the 76ers, finishing with 14 points and seven rebounds in 11 minutes.

Advice: X-rays were negative but Jefferson appeared to be in considerable pain, as he was screaming in agony after the injury. The team brought out a wheelchair to take him back to the locker room. It's uncertain how much time he'll need before he returns, but his absence could be a big blow to the depth of the Pacers down the stretch. Rakeem Christmas and Kevin Seraphin figure to pick up the scraps if Jefferson is forced to the shelf. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:01 pm
    Injured

  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) out Sunday vs. DEN
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) will not play vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: Dante Cunningham will start and Solomon Hill stands to benefit from Cousins' absence, while both Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday will also have less competition for usage. Cousins was essentially a game-time decision tonight, so there's a chance he'll return vs. the Jazz on Monday. Check back for updates after New Orleans' shootaround, assuming they hold one in the second half of a back-to-back set. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:40 pm
  • Patrick Beverley goes scoreless in 28 minutes
Patrick Beverley missed all six of his shot attempts during Sunday's win over the Thunder, contributing just two boards, one steal, five dimes and five turnovers through 28 scoreless minutes.

Advice: Beverley is prone to the occasional scoring dud, particularly when his primary responsibility is to chase around a guy like Russell Westbrook, and unfortunately, it could be tough for him to immediately bounce back with another tough matchup against the Warriors on Tuesday. Still, he's been a steady top-50 play on the year with his steady contribution of treys (1.7), dimes (4.2) and steals (1.5), so he's worth hanging onto in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:29 pm
  • Taurean Prince scores 17 points in start
Taurean Prince matched a career-high 17 points in his first NBA start against the Nets on Sunday, adding six rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

Advice: Not a bad start and obviously not having Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefolosha helped him get some added run. Plus, it helps to go against the Nets with those extra minutes. Prince still has a lot of work to do as a scorer and he really struggles around the rim, but the opportunity is there for him right now and he's been adept at adding defensive stats. With Millsap and Bazemore in doubt this week, Prince is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:52 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) is a game-time call
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is a game-time call vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: He didn't go through the morning shootaround, but he will do everything he can to play in tonight's must-win game -- the Pelicans trail the Nuggets (No. 8 seed) by 5.0 games. If Boogie can't go, Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill will get a bump, but they aren't great options in fantasy. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis will get a nice usage bump as well if Boogie sits. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:21 am
  • Taurean Prince will start on Sunday vs. BKN
Taurean Prince will start on Sunday vs. the Nets.

Advice: This will be the rookie's first career NBA start. With Paul Millsap (knee), Kent Bazemore (knee) and Thabo Sefolosha (groin) all out, Prince does have some streaming appeal with per-36 minute averages of 11.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 triples. He's looking at a heavy workload this afternoon and does offer plenty of upside in the money categories. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:10 am
  • Hassan Whiteside (ankle) expected to play
Hassan Whiteside (sprained ankle) feels "a lot better" and is expected to play on Sunday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: The big man sat out of Saturday's practice as a precaution, but it sounds like he's ready for a full workload. He was also talking about the matchup with Boston, so his status doesn't appear to be in jeopardy. We'll confirm that he's starting, but go ahead and get him active. According to Heat reporter Ira Winderman, Whiteside will be a "full go." Daily Slant: Boston has gotten a rep as one of the worst rebounding teams – on the season they’re the 5th-worst in rebounding percentage (48.4%) – but they’re the 11th-best since the all-star break (50.3%) and 8th-best over the past five games (52.3%). They have the 6th-best defensive rating since the break (102.5) and have allowed 44.6 points in the paint per game (13th), where Whiteside scores 74.5% of his points. While the league’s leading rebounder should produce today, his upside may be limited. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:44 am
  • Wes puts up another dud
Wesley Matthews made 2-of-12 from the field and missed both free throws for four points with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.

Advice: Besides the missed shots, that's a pretty good line for Matthews. Still, Matthews is now down to just 28.6 percent from the field in March, and a lot of that is because he's only made two shots at the rim for the entire month. The downside is outweighing the upside by a lot these days. He did go to the locker room today, but quickly returned. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:09 pm
  • Kyle Korver doesn't get much vs. Wizards
Kyle Korver scored 10 points with two rebounds and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: His playing time didn't change much even with Iman Shumpert (knee) not playing in this game. Korver isn't getting enough usage or minutes to be counted on while the Cavs are close to 100 percent. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:13 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) questionable Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (right ankle sprain) is questionable to play against the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: This may have been sustained late in the game when he had some contact with Ryan Anderson. Cousins did finish the game and played the entire fourth quarter. We should have an update at shootaround, but there's a decent chance Boogie can give it a go. If not, Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill should benefit. Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis would do the heavy lifting, of course. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:40 pm
  • Joe Harris out again for Sunday
Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play against the Hawks on Sunday.

Advice: He doesn't have a timetable to return and may be out of the rotation when he gets back. It's been K.J. McDaniels slotting into Harris' minutes, but he doesn't have much value. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:26 pm
    Injured

  • Hassan Whiteside (ankle) probable for Sunday
Hassan Whiteside (sprained ankle) did not practice with the team on Saturday but is expected to play Sunday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Whiteside, who is playing with 13 stitches in his right hand, rolled his ankle late in the fourth quarter of Thursday's loss to the Raptors. However, he did downplay the injury after the game and, fortunately, it appears he will not be forced to miss any time. We are still awaiting an official announcement from the team or coach Erik Spoelstra regarding Whiteside's availability for Sunday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:59 am
  • Pat Beverley scores 17 points
Patrick Beverley scored 17 points with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: That's two great games in a row with a 14-point game coming on Wednesday. While Beverley isn't known for his offense, he does get a 3.3 usage rate increase when Ryan Anderson (ankle) is on the bench. He should have a solid week and is a must-start player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:30 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins scores 29 points
DeMarcus Cousins scored 29 points with six rebounds, four assists, four blocks, one steal and five 3-pointers against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: It looks like all is right in the Boogie world. With one of his techs getting rescinded, he hasn't picked up a tech since his last one-game suspension, and his numbers have climbed since he missed Mar. 17 due to an injury. In those three games, Cousins averaged 28.3 points, 11.3 boards, 3.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 2.3 blocks and 3.7 treys. Sure, small sample size matters here, but this is still very impressive after such a rough start. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:13 pm
  • Julius Randle scores 23 points w/ 12 rebounds
Julius Randle lit up the Wolves for 23 points and 12 rebounds on Friday.

Advice: He hit 8-of-14 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws in 34 minutes, adding three assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples in one of his best all-around games of the season. He's always been a great points, dimes and rebounds guy, but the lack of consistent defensive stats limits his fantasy upside -- he was averaging 0.5 blocks and 0.7 steals prior to Friday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:33 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson scores 33, hits 8 triples
Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting with eight 3-pointers, five assists and two rebounds in 47 minutes in a 130-117 overtime win over the Wolves on Friday.

Advice: What a way to respond after he scored five points on 1-of-9 shooting vs. the Clippers on Tuesday. It's no secret that Clarkson is a high-volume shooter, but Walton said earlier this week that he wants him to find other ways to impact the game if his shot isn't falling. "He’s too good of an athlete. He’s one guy who loves to compete, but you can’t get locked in and focus on the fact you can’t make any shots," Walton said. "That’ll come eventually. Get into someone on defense, make some steals, make some passes, take a charge, do something." Clarkson has been a beast since the Lou Williams trade and should be owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:26 pm
  • Ish Smith scores six in start
Ish Smith scored six points in the starting lineup during a start against the Magic on Friday, adding three rebounds and one turnover in 16 minutes.

Advice: This isn't going to end well for the Pistons with two bad losses in a row. While Smith should remain in the first unit for the short term, it's still going to be a timeshare and his usage figures to take a hit with better players around him. He's more of a steals and dimes specialist than a guy fantasy owners should count on the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:27 pm
  • Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play Friday
Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play Friday night vs. the Wizards.

Advice: No fantasy impact here, as Harris has not played since March 3rd. He belongs on waivers in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:05 am
    Injured

  • Ish Smith will start again on Friday night
Ish Smith will remain in the starting lineup Friday night vs. the Magic.

Advice: Coach Stan Van Gundy wanted to shake things up on Wednesday and inserted Smith into starting five. Smith finished with nine points, seven assists, three steals, one rebound and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes. Reggie Jackson had just six points and four assists in 19 minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:40 am
  • Whiteside (ankle) plans on playing Sunday
Hassan Whiteside downplayed the ankle injury he suffered Thursday night and said he plans on playing Sunday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Whiteside, who received 13 stitches in his hand on Tuesday, rolled his ankle late in the fourth quarter of Thursday's loss to the Raptors. "It’s not crazy like Dion’s," Whiteside said of the injury, referring to the badly sprained ankle of his teammate Dion Waiters. "More just annoying." Coach Erik Spoelstra was not quite as confident. "We'll know more, how severe or not severe," he said after the game. Stay tuned for updates out of Miami this weekend. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:12 am
  • Noah Vonleh grabs 12 boards
Noah Vonleh matched his career-high 12 rebounds against the Knicks on Thursday, adding four points, one steal and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: He's actually making an impact on the stat sheet and for coach Terry Stotts. The problem is Stotts just has another weapon to use and make his rotation even more complicated. Most fantasy owners will just want to avoid this situation. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:50 pm
  • Wes Matthews scores five points
Wesley Matthews made 1-of-8 from the field for five points with four rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: He just is stuck in one of his brutal slumps again. In his last five, Matthews made just 28.9 percent from the field with averages of 6.6 points, 3.0 boards, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. The Iron Man has some of the longest slumps among NBA starters, so some fantasy owners may want to just leave him on the wire until he snaps out of it. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:54 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside sprains ankle late vs. TOR
Hassan Whiteside rolled his ankle at the end of Thursday's game.

Advice: Coach Erik Spoelstra said he doesn't know how severe the ankle injury is, so we'll have to wait on the details. Whiteside had a right ankle injury before the All-Star Game and there's a chance that injury affected him for arguably the worst part of his season. As for this new injury, the schedule helped the Heat out this week because they won't play again until Sunday. Whiteside already was playing with 13 stitches in his hand, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in this loss to the Raptors. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:39 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside will start on Thursday night
Hassan Whiteside (hand) will start on Thursday night against the Raptors.

Advice: He went through warmups and apparently is good to go. Whiteside also went through morning shootaround and has intended to play all day. Fantasy owners can fire up Whiteside, but the Raptors did a good job against him in their last meeting with just 12 points. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:46 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside goes through shootaround
Hassan Whiteside (right hand laceration) was able to go through the morning shootaround.

Advice: Coach Erik Spoelstra said that Whiteside still intends to play on Thursday vs. the Raptors, but did add that most of the stuff he did at the shootaround was left handed. With the Heat fighting for a playoff spot, the chances of Whiteside playing should be pretty good. Check back for an update after the pre-game warmups. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:50 am
  • Kyle Korver (foot) scores nine points on Wed
Kyle Korver (sore left foot) returned to action on Wednesday with nine points on 3-of-9 shooting, including a 3-of-8 mark from downtown.

Advice: "A lot of my shots are turning over this left shoulder," Korver said, explaining the cause of his recent injury. "That’s kind of the foot I’m planting on more. I think that’s kind of where I get the wear and tear I’ve had over the years." Korver logged 19 minutes in his return but he should be in the mid- to high-20s before long. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:54 pm
  • Taurean Prince chips in across the board Wed
Taurean Prince played 28 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, finishing a road loss with seven points on 3-of-8 shooting, four rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The rookie has entrenched himself in coach Mike Budenholzer's rotation, and his role has increased with Paul Millsap (knee) and Kent Bazemore (knee) both out of commission. His ability to chip in threes, steals and blocks is crucial to his fantasy value, and he's worth holding in most roto leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:33 pm
  • Ish Smith dishes seven assists as starting PG
Ish Smith moved into Detroit's starting lineup on Wednesday, where he posted nine points, seven assists, three steals, one rebound and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

Advice: Stan Van Gundy threatened lineup changes after Tuesday's loss to the lowly Nets, saying, "We'll find out [Wednesday]," and it wasn't an idle threat. The fact that Detroit got destroyed tonight doesn't help Smith's case, but SVG will probably roll with him for at least a few more games. He's a decent pickup if you missed out on guys like Tyler Ulis and Malcolm Brogdon. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:38 pm
  • Kyle Korver (foot) will play against Nuggets
Kyle Korver (foot) will play against the Nuggets on Wednesday night.

Advice: It will be his first action since Mar. 6. With Korver back, it'll be interesting to see how coach Ty Lue divides the minutes on the wing. Korver will have a lower upside, but he should be a solid specialist for treys going forward. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:36 pm
  • Ish Smith starting, Jackson to the bench
Ish Smith will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, sending Reggie Jackson to the bench.

Advice: Smith has been heating up over the past month, while Jackson has been trending in the wrong direction, so this could be a lineup change that holds. Through 21 games as a starter this season, Smith owns averages of 10.8 points, 6.4 assists, 1.0 steal and just 1.5 turnovers per game on 43.1 percent shooting, so he's worth a look if those numbers fit your needs. Jackson, on the other hand, is quickly approaching cut candidate territory. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:22 pm
  • Joe Harris is out again
Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play on Thursday against the Suns.

Advice: The Nets are not revealing too much on Harris. He could be out for a little while longer as he recovers from his sprained shoulder. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:01 pm
    Injured

  • Whiteside (right hand laceration) is probable
Hassan Whiteside (right hand laceration) is listed as probable for Thursday's game vs. Raptors.

Advice: He cut his hand on Tuesday night and has said he wouldn't miss additional time. Whiteside looks healthy again and turned in averages of 21.8 points, 15.2 boards and 2.2 blocks in his last five games. The Raptors did shut him down last time with just 12 points and 14 boards back on Mar. 11. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:43 pm
  • Whiteside (hand) 'intends to play' Thursday
Hassan Whiteside (hand) said that he "has the intent to play" in Thursday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: It was widely assumed Whiteside would miss multiple games after receiving 13 stitches on his right hand Tuesday night. He left the arena with his hand heavily bandaged. However, Whiteside was working out in the weight room at the Heat's practice facility on Wednesday and told reports that he plans to play. We still haven't heard from a team official or coach Erik Spoelstra on the matter, so you'll obviously want to check back for updates. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:22 am
  • Kyle Korver (foot) questionable Wednesday
Coach Tyronn Lue said he was unsure whether Kyle Korver (sore left foot) will be able to play Wednesday night vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Korver has not played since March 6th due to the foot injury. He did state that he felt "a lot better" on Tuesday, so Korver is clearly headed in the right direction. We may be looking at a game-time decision Wednesday night. The issue for Korver owners is that even once he is fully healthy and active, Korver will have to divvy up minutes with J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert. Thus, it will be very difficult for him to match the numbers he was putting up his first few weeks in Cleveland. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:58 am
  • Tyler Ennis returned to action on Tuesday March 21. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:20 am
  • DeMarcus Cousins drops 41 w/ monster line
DeMarcus Cousins dropped 41 points in a 95-82 win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, adding 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and five 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: This was easily his best game with the Pelicans as he shot 14-of-27 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line. He became just the second player since '83 with 41+ points, 17+ rebounds and 5+ triples, and the first since Kevin Love did it in 2010. The Pelicans trail the No. 8 seed (Denver) by 3.5 games, so expect him to keep playing through some minor ailments -- he missed Friday's game with a right rib contusion and a knee issue. • Wes Matthews back in a funk on Tuesday
Wesley Matthews, who had 15 points and two 3-pointers on Sunday, hit just 3-of-8 shots for eight points, three boards, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Warriors.

Advice: If you throw out Sunday's mini-explosion against the lowly Nets, he's scored a grand total of 13 points in three of his last four games. The emergence of Seth Curry has hurt him, but if he doesn't show improvement immediately, owners may have to think about hitting the waiver wire, since fantasy seasons are on the line here. He's hit just 33 percent of his shots over his last four games, although the rest of his line was pretty good tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:37 pm
  • Ish Smith gets hot late, outplays Jackson
Ish Smith scored 12 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's tough 98-96 loss to the Nets and finished with seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block, and hit 8-of-15 shots in 28 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Starter Reggie Jackson played just 20 minutes and hit 3-of-9 shots for seven points and two assists, and gave way to Smith in the fourth quarter when Smith caught fire. Jackson is still the starter and it's still his job to lose, while we've seen Smith turn in games like this one before. As usual, Smith is always worth keeping an eye on and might even be worth a deep-league flier, but Jackson played well in his previous two games and probably isn't in jeopardy of losing his job this deep into the season. • Kyle Korver (left foot) feeling much better
Kyle Korver (sore left foot) said on Tuesday that he was feeling "a lot better," and "well rested."

Advice: Korver added that his foot is feeling stronger, and with him getting in a full practice on Tuesday, it's looking like there's a chance we could see him back in action on Wednesday night vs. the Nuggets. Korver was playing well prior to going down, but that was with J.R. Smith on the sidelines, so it could be tough for him to replicate that production fighting for minutes with Smith and Iman Shumpert. We should get another update following shootaround, but this is a wait-and-see situation in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:42 pm
  • Tyler Ennis (shoulder) available to play Tues
Tyler Ennis (left shoulder) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Ennis tweaked his shoulder during Monday's practice, but it's not going to be something that forces him to the sidelines. That being said, Ennis has been a non-factor in the rotation as of late, so whether he plays or not will be irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:19 am
  • Al Jefferson busy in small window
Al Jefferson jacked up nine shots in just 11 minutes off the bench Monday against the Jazz, hitting five field goals to end up with 10 points.

Advice: Jefferson certainly made the most of his small amount of playing time, and for that his remaining fantasy owners in deeper leagues thank him. Perhaps this decent showing will get him more intertwined in the team's rotation, as he has been limited to fighting for scraps lately behind the likes of Rakeem Christmas and Kevin Seraphin. It was Seraphin who didn't leave the bench in this one because Jefferson was so hot. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:36 pm
    Injured

  • Taurean Prince scores 11 points
Taurean Prince scored 11 points with four rebounds, one assist and one triple vs. the Hornets on Monday.

Advice: Kent Bazemore (knee) is going to miss at least another week and Paul Millsap has been ruled out for at least one more game, so Prince may continue to be a workhorse. He didn't shoot the ball well tonight (4-of-13 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), but he logged 30 minutes and was the first player off the bench. He averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 boards, 1.3 dimes, 0.8 steals, 2.3 blocks and 1.5 treys in his previous four games, so there's some upside here and he's someone to consider streaming with three more games on the schedule this week. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:29 pm
  • Joe Harris (shoulder) ruled out for Tuesday
Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play Tuesday vs. the Pistons.

Advice: Harris hasn't played since March 3, and it's unclear exactly when he'll be able to return to the court. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Mar 20, 1:54 pm
    Injured

  • Tyler Ennis tweaks left shoulder at practice
Tyler Ennis tweaked his left shoulder during Monday's practice and he'll be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Advice: Ennis wasn't able to finish the scrimmage portion of Monday's practice following the shoulder tweak, so there's a chance he could be forced to the sidelines on Tuesday night. That being said, Ennis has been a negligible part of the rotation over the past three, so his potential absence from the rotation won't have any real consequences in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Mar 20, 1:15 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins returned to action on Sunday March 19. Rotoworld.com Mar 20, 1:02 am
  • Julius Randle gets 10/7/7 in tough home loss
Julius Randle finished Sunday's 125-120 home loss with 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, making 3-of-9 shots with one 3-pointer and zero steals or blocks.

Advice: Randle blew up for 32 points on Wednesday, but in the two games since he's averaging just 7.0 points on 4-of-15 shooting. He's contributing more than enough in other categories to mask occasional shooting woes, however, and is perfectly positioned as a young cornerstone on a tanking team. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 9:18 pm
  • Noah Vonleh hits 10+ pts in 3rd straight game
Noah Vonleh logged 29 minutes during Sunday's impressive road win, chipping in 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Advice: Vonleh has now scored double-digit points in three straight games, something he's never done before in his NBA career. The low-usage forward is getting it done thanks to extreme efficiency, connecting on 72.2 percent of his shot attempts during his double-digit streak. There are higher-upside guys on the vast majority of waiver wires. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 6:42 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (knee) double-doubles Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (knee) returned on Sunday with 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting, 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Cousins had an MRI, which came back negative, and the fact that he played two days later confirms that it's not serious. The Pelicans host the Grizzlies on Tuesday, after which they don't play until Friday, so Cousins' knee should have plenty of time to heal. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 6:00 pm
  • DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) starting Sunday
DeMarcus Cousins (knee, ribs) will start for the Pelicans on Sunday.

Advice: Cousins missed Friday's game but an MRI came back negative and he said he would play tonight, so hopefully he's in your active lineups. His return should dent Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday's usage, but AD in particular has proven that he can post elite value even while playing alongside Boogie. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 2:13 pm
  • Wes Matthews scores 15 points
Wes Matthews scored 15 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Nets on Sunday.

Advice: He was in a rough slump since the break, so luckily he got the slump-busting Nets today. Hopefully, this game could get Matthews going, but his shot total is also down because there are more mouths to feed with J.J. Barea getting in the mix. Matthews is usually a mid-round guy, but his month-long slump makes him a questionable player to own in standard leagues. He only has three games this week, too. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 12:36 pm
  • Kyle Korver remains out
Kyle Korver (foot) remains out and said there's "still something in" his left foot.

Advice: "It's getting better but it hasn't come along like I'd hoped," Korver said. "I should've stopped playing on it a week and a half earlier. Now that I'm out, we might as well let it come all the way back, but it just hasn't yet." Considering the Cavs have been careful with their guys, we're likely not going to see Korver for a few games at least. J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert will play a little more. Rotoworld.com Mar 19, 9:45 am
  • Noah Vonleh posts a double-double
Noah Vonleh scored 10 points with 11 rebounds and five turnovers in 27 minutes against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: He may be playing his best ball of the season and turned in his first double-double of his third-year campaign. Vonleh is still just 21 and he did slide in the 2014 draft because he was raw, so maybe better days are ahead. That said, there's very little reason to add him in fantasy unless you're streaming on a light night. Rotoworld.com Mar 18, 6:21 pm
  • Taurean Prince scores eight with three blocks
Taurean Prince scored eight points with six rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 31 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: That's multiple blocks in three of his last four games. In that span, Prince averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 boards, 1.3 dimes, 0.8 steals, 2.3 blocks and 1.5 treys. Some of this is due to the Hawks getting blown out and Paul Millsap (knee) not playing gave Prince more minutes at SF, so Prince is still only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Mar 18, 5:29 pm
  • Joe Harris will not play on Sunday
Joe Harris (shoulder) will not play on Sunday against the Mavs.

Advice: He does not have a target date to return and there has been no word of him practicing. Harris may even lose minutes to K.J. McDaniels upon his return. Rotoworld.com Mar 18, 2:03 pm
    Injured

  • Jordan Clarkson scores 21
Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points in 38 minutes vs. the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: He made his third consecutive start at point guard and got a few extra minutes with Nick Young and D'Angelo Russell getting ejected in the third quarter. Clarkson shot 8-of-20 from the field with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four triples, and he's thriving in his new role with averages of 18.5 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.0 triples in his previous two starts. Coach Luke Walton hinted before the game that his lineups aren't set in stone going forward and that he wants to keep trying out different combinations, but Clarkson should be owned in most leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 10:50 pm
  • Wes Matthews' rough second half continues
Wes Matthews (calf) returned from a one-game absence during a 116-74 loss to the 76ers on Friday, making 1-of-8 from the field for three points with two rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: He looked frustrated throughout the game and maybe he wasn't 100 percent. Matthews is not exactly having a great post-break run so far, averaging 8.5 points, 3.5 boards, 2.9 dimes, 1.1 steals and 1.5 treys on 30.5 percent from the field in his previous games since the break. We've seen some brutally long slumps from Wes, so a couple more bad games could make him a drop candidate. Considering it's the fantasy playoffs in many leagues, he already is for shallow formats. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 6:45 pm
  • Wesley Matthews (calf) will start on Friday
Wesley Matthews (right calf strain) will start Friday night vs. Chicago.

Advice: Matthews ends up missing just one game; he sat out Wednesday night after injuring himself on Monday. Dorian Finney-Smith will get bumped back to the bench with Matthews back in the mix. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 2:41 pm
  • Joe Harris out again for Friday
Joe Harris (left shoulder) will not play Friday against the Celtics.

Advice: The good news on Harris is that he isn't dealing with concussion symptoms anymore. The severity of his shoulder sprain isn't known, but the Nets are clearly not fans of playing guys at less than 100 percent. With Harris out, Randy Foye, Caris LeVert, K.J. McDaniels and Spencer Dinwiddie should get some added wing minutes. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 11:29 am
    Injured

  • Jordan Clarkson starting; SG is undetermined
Jordan Clarkson will get another start against the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: Coach Luke Walton said he didn't know who he would start next to Clarkson. We've seen D'Angelo Russell, Nick Young and David Nwaba get starts, but nobody has really stepped up. Walton also said on Thursday it would be "by committee" at guard, so it's likely to change on a nightly basis. Clarkson should be owned in standard leagues while Russell's fantasy owners have to hang tight for him to snap out of this brutal funk. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 11:11 am
  • Kyle Korver (foot) listed as out for Saturday
Kyle Korver (left foot soreness) is listed as "out" in the game notes for Saturday's matchup with the Clippers.

Advice: This is merely a 'game notes designation,' so we will have to wait for a complete medical update from the Cavs before Saturday's game in L.A. Korver, who has missed five straight games, has begun participating in team practices and is headed in the right direction. Rotoworld.com Mar 17, 9:26 am
  • Wes Matthews (calf) expected to play Friday
Wesley Matthews (right calf strain) is expected to play Friday night vs. the Bulls.

Advice: Matthews injured himself on Monday night and did not play in Wednesday's win over Washington. On Thursday, coach Rick Carlisle did say he was hopeful that Wes would return for the Chicago game and it appears that is the case. Matthews' return will bump Dorian Finney-Smith back to the bench.
