      Advice: Turner had issues with foul trouble all game long, and that was the main reason why he was limited to just 24 minutes -- his second-lowest mark in the current playoff run.       Advice: Turner had a rough first half, and he entered the break with zero points, four turnovers and three fouls after playing just 12 minutes. He was better in the second half, and he didn’t add anymore turnovers or fouls. However, he only played 12 more minutes after that before Rick Carlisle pulled the plug. Turner was huge in Game 1, and even though it didn’t result in a win, it became even more clear that he is vital to their success.       Jrue Holiday recorded a double-double on Thursday with 15 points (6-of-7 FGs), three rebounds, 10 assists and three triples against the Pacers in Game 2.

      Advice: Holiday did most of his work in the first half of this game, but after being relatively quiet through the first two rounds, he turned in his second straight excellent performance. After having his highest scoring game of the playoffs in Game 1, Holiday followed that up with his first double-double of this postseason. That helped them take a 2-0 lead in this series, which leaves them two wins away from the NBA Finals.       Advice: The Timberwolves need Towns to be consistent as an offensive threat, and while the numbers have been there most of the time, the efficiency has been lacking. Towns has scored at least 20 points in four of his last eight appearances since the start of the series against the Nuggets while shooting 47.4 percent from the field in that span, so he seems to be getting the job done even when he has an off night from time to time.       Karl-Anthony Towns finished Wednesday’s 108-105 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (6-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

      Advice: Minnesota’s top two offensive weapons struggled on Wednesday, with Towns shooting 6-of-20 from the field and Anthony Edwards slightly better at 6-of-16. KAT shot 51% from the field in the second-round series against Denver, and he was a 52.6% shooter in four regular-season meetings with the Mavericks. However, each meeting with Dallas was played before the trade deadline, so Wednesday was KAT’s first look at a Mavericks lineup that included PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.
