      According to Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, the Cavaliers are not expected to entertain any trade offers for their “core four” players.

      Advice: While the team is still searching for a new head coach, there have also been questions regarding constructing the Cavaliers’ roster for next season. There has reportedly been interest in Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, but according to Fischer, the team has no plans to move anyone. That “core four” includes Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, with the latter flourishing while Allen was sidelined during the postseason with a rib injury. The fantasy ceilings of Garland, Allen, and Mobley were limited this season, and that likely remains the case in 2024-25 if Cleveland sticks with the same starting lineup.       Advice: White was ice-cold in the first half but hit some clutch second-half three-pointers to help Boston take a 3-0 Finals lead. His two blocks highlighted a Celtics defensive effort that once again held Dallas under 100 points. The veteran guard was one of four Boston starters to see over 40 minutes of run.       Derrick White finished Wednesday’s 106-99 win over Dallas with 16 points (4-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

      Advice: White has scored at least 15 points in seven of Boston’s last eight games, with the Game 3 win over Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals being the exception. On Wednesday, he hit four 3-pointers for the second straight game, providing solid offensive production on a night when stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined to score 61 points. White has also blocked two shots in two straight games, totaling 11 rejections in his last five. He and the Celtics will look to close out the series on Friday night, and no team in NBA history has blown a 3-0 lead.       Advice: White will grab most of the headlines following this Game 2 win due to a game-saving block in the dying stages of the fourth quarter when the Mavericks were inching closer to mounting a comeback, and he also made some clutch buckets in the second half every time Dallas posed a threat. White will rarely carry the Celtics on offense, but the little things he does on both ends of the court are essential for the Celtics to be two games away from winning the NBA title.       Advice: Gafford was efficient from the field and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double, but he had problems dealing with Kristaps Porzingis once again. The fact that the Celtics' big men can play on the perimeter has limited Gafford's defensive influence. Gafford has now posted at least eight rebounds in three of his last four playoff appearances.       Daniel Gafford shot 6-of-9 from the field and 1-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s Game 2 loss to the Celtics, scoring 13 points with nine rebounds and one blocked shot in 23 minutes.

      Advice: Limited to 14 minutes in Game 1, Gafford was more impactful as a finisher and rebounder in Game 2. As a result, he played 23 minutes while backup center Dereck Lively II (two points and seven rebounds) logged 19. Dallas broke even in Gafford’s minutes, but they were a minus-15 with Lively on the floor. Regardless of which big man is on the floor, they’ll need to be better if the Mavericks are to have any chance of knocking off the Celtics. Game 3 is on Wednesday night in Dallas.       Derrick White tallied 18 points (6-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, three steals, two blocks, and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes in Sunday’s 105-98 win over Dallas.

      Advice: White came up big on both ends of the floor, hitting four of Boston’s 10 3-pointers while also tallying five “stocks” in Game 2. One of his biggest plays was a block of a PJ Washington dunk attempt with a little under one minute remaining and Boston holding a five-point lead. Jaylen Brown, who some argued fouled Washington on the shot, would score a layup on the other end to extend the Celtics’ lead and put the game away. The focus in championship series tends to be on the stars, but White and Jrue Holiday came up big for Boston in the first two games. The performance marked White's sixth consecutive with at least 13 points and four assists, and he's committed only four total turnovers during this stretch compared to nine steals and 11 blocks. The Celtics shot 16-of-42 from deep as a team, outscoring Dallas by a 48-21 margin. Backcourt sidekick Jrue Holiday also had a good night, as he finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
