    • Aggravates hamstring in Game 2
Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said after Thursday's 126-110 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals that Haliburton's departure late in the third quarter was the result of left hamstring soreness, Joe Vardon of The Athletic reports. "We hope that this is a very short-term aggravation," Carlisle said.

Advice: Though Haliburton tallied 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight assists, four rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes before leaving the game for good with 3:44 remaining in the third quarter, he appeared to have picked up the injury earlier in the contest. He fell hard to the floor in the first half and was spotted in the medical imaging room at TD Garden during halftime to get evaluated for a chest injury, but Carlisle relayed after the game that Haliburton was also getting his hamstring worked on. Haliburton was playing in pain in the third quarter before checking out of the game for good with an injury that the Pacers officially labeled as left leg soreness before Carlisle provided more clarity afterward. The All-Star guard previously missed 10 games in January due to a strain of the same hamstring, so he could struggle to gain clearance ahead of Saturday's Game 3 in Indiana. • Posts 23 points in Game 2 victory
Tatum posted 23 points (9-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists across 42 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 victory over the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: Tatum endured a slow start in this game, but he improved as the contest progressed, and the star forward ended with a solid stat line even though his shot wasn't falling, particularly from three-point range. Tatum has surpassed the 20-point mark in each of his last six playoff appearances and should continue to lead the Celtics on offense when the series shifts to Indiana for Game 3 on Saturday. • Exits early with leg injury
Haliburton won't return to Thursday's matchup with the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to left leg soreness. He finished with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight assists, four rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes.

Advice: Haliburton wasn't moving around well due to the injury, and the Celtics took advantage of him defensively because of it before he checked out of the game for good with 3:44 remaining in the third quarter. T.J. McConnell, Andrew Nembhard and Ben Sheppard are candidates to see more minutes if Haliburton is unable to play through the injury in Saturday's Game 3. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:24 pm
    • Tyrese Haliburton (leg) exits early from Game 2
Tyrese Haliburton (left leg soreness) will not return to Game 2 against Boston on Thursday.

Advice: The team announced that Haliburton with the team down about 20 points with eight minutes left in the fourth, and they have most of their starters on the bench. The main concern now is whether or not he’ll be available to play in Game 3 on Saturday. If he isn’t able to, it’s unclear who would start in his place, though T.J. McConnell and Ben Sheppard will certainly take on extra minutes. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the injury was to his left hamstring, and he missed time earlier this season due to an injury in the same hammy, which is certainly concerning. • Naz Reid tallies 15 points, full line in Game 1
Naz Reid shot 5-of-9 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Advice: As has been the case throughout this season, Reid gave the Timberwolves solid production off the bench in Wednesday’s Game 1. Unfortunately for the Timberwolves, their bench outscoring the Mavericks reserves by a 28-14 margin didn’t mean much. Kyle Anderson added 11 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes, shooting 5-of-8 from the field. While Reid and Rudy Gobert (12/7/1/1/2 in 38 minutes) recorded full stat lines, the struggles of Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards were too much to overcome. Minnesota will look to tie the series in Game 2 on Friday night. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:58 pm
    • Drops 36 points in Game 1 win
Tatum amassed 36 points (12-26 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 46 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime win over Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: Everyone knows what Tatum can do offensively, and he's now scored at least 33 points in three of his last four games. However, it was his defense on Tyrese Haliburton that was ultimately the difference in this game. Tatum was clutch in overtime, and Boston will now head into Game 2 with a ton of momentum. • Double-doubles in Game 1 loss
Haliburton totaled 25 points (8-18 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists, one block and three steals in 40 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: The Pacers played a terrific game for the majority of the night but made some crucial mistakes in the final minute to allow Boston to sneak away with the win in overtime. The Pacers will be looking to bounce back in Boston for Game 2 Thursday. Haliburton has been terrific in the postseason, averaging 19.3 points, 8.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.6 three-pointers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:24 am
    • Obi Toppin contributes 15 points in Game 1 loss
Obi Toppin tallied 15 points (6-of-8 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes in Tuesday’s 133-128 loss to the Celtics.

Advice: The Pacers reserves scored 30 points in Game 1, enjoying a 17-point advantage in that category. Toppin and T.J. McConnell (13/3/4/1 in 25 minutes) were responsible for 28 of those 30 points, but it wasn’t enough to help the Pacers hold onto Game 1. Getting outscored by a 24-9 margin at the foul line and committing 21 turnovers were the issues for the Pacers, who had a three-point lead with 46.1 seconds remaining in regulation. A Jaylen Brown 3-pointer with six seconds remaining forced overtime, with Boston taking a 1-0 series lead. Game 2 is on Thursday night, and this is another series in which Toppin and McConnell will have an advantage.

    • Tyrese Haliburton tallies 25 points, 10 assists
Tyrese Haliburton shot 8-of-18 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime loss to the Celtics, amassing 25 points, three rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, one block, and six 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: After hitting six 3-pointers in Indiana’s Game 7 win over the Knicks, Haliburton hit six more in the Eastern Conference Finals opener. However, turnovers and a minus-15 margin at the foul line proved costly for the Pacers. Haliburton was only responsible for three of the team’s 21 turnovers, but many of the team’s miscues were unforced. While Indiana can take solace in having a chance to win Game 1 against a well-rested opponent, the truth is that they let this one get away. Haliburton and the Pacers will look to grab home-court advantage in Game 2 on Thursday. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:36 pm
