  • Alec Burks scores 13 points in loss to OKC
Alec Burks scored 13 points for the second straight game on Monday vs. the Thunder, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line with two rebounds and two assists in a season-high 25 minutes

Advice: Burks is now in the rotation with Rodney Hood (knee) out and he played 19 minutes in his previous outing. "Being out for so long, it's hard to get back into the rhythm, but I'm getting there. I feel like I'm getting better," Burks said. "I feel more comfortable with my teammates. I'm making progress." Burks took an ill-advised shot in the final seconds of the two-point loss, but the fact that he was even in there suggests that he will be a big part of Utah's plans in the short term. If you have something to cut in a deep league, give Burks a look since the Jazz play three more times this week. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 18 points
Victor Oladipo scored 18 points on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting on Monday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Dipo added four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one triple in 30 minutes, but he said over the weekend that his wrist is still causing him some pain. "Lingering pain and I've fallen on it a few times unluckily," Oladipo said. He added that he's "not worried about it," but he will continue to ice it and receive treatment going forward. If tonight was any indication, Oladipo should be just fine. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:19 pm
  • Westbrook triple-doubles, hits game-winner
Russell Westbrook scored 38 points and hit a game-winning mid-range jumper with a couple seconds left in Monday's 97-95 win over the Jazz.

Advice: He's an absolute monster. Westbrook recorded his 22nd triple-double of the season with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, adding four steals, one block, three triples and six turnovers. He finished 11-of-29 from the field and 13-of-17 from the line, an incredible feat against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Per StatMuse, Westbrook now has the most 30-point triple-doubles (21) in the last 30 years over LeBron James (21) and Michael Jordan (16). Not bad for an All-Star reserve... • Stephen Curry scores 20 vs. the Heat
Stephen Curry scored 20 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists, one block and three triples vs. the Heat on Monday.

Advice: He finished 7-of-19 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line with four turnovers in 37 minutes. This was his second 20/10 game of the season and he matched his season high with 10 rebounds. Curry is trending up in the new year and he's averaging 80.5 touches per game with 5.4 seconds per touch in January compared to 76 touches and 4.7 seconds per touch before Jan. 1, and his owners can expect another strong performance in a homecoming game in Charlotte on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
  • Shaun Livingston returns to action
Shaun Livingston (rest) returned to action on Monday vs. the Heat and scored four points with five assists, five rebounds, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.

Advice: Livingston was averaging 17.4 minutes per game prior to Monday, but saw a few extra minutes tonight with Andre Iguodala resting. Livingston won't be a fantasy factor while Stephen Curry is healthy despite this solid line. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:51 pm
  • Jeff Teague cools off against Bulls
Jeff Teague hit just 3-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer for seven points, four rebounds and seven assists in Monday's loss to the Knicks.

Advice: Teague had scored in double figures in all nine of his January games prior to tonight's mishap and was averaging 16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 9.3 assists, a steal and a 3-pointer during the month coming into this one. He was due for an off night, but should bounce back against the Timberwolves on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm
  • Ty Lawson scores 19 off Kings' bench
Ty Lawson played 23 minutes and hit 7-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 19 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal off the Kings' bench on Monday.

Advice: Darren Collison continues to start, but Lawson has been the better point guard over the past month. Lawson is averaging 11 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and a steal over his last four games, but he's not much of a 3-point threat. We'd rather own Lawson over Collison, at least for now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:07 pm
  • Garrett Temple scores 11 in start for Kings
Garrett Temple started and played 34 minutes on Monday, finishing with 11 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in a 109-104 win over the Pistons.

Advice: Temple is averaging 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five games, and will continue to see heavy minutes with Rudy Gay's season over due to a ruptured achilles tendon. But if you want to drop Temple for a red-hot Dion Waiters, it makes sense. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon hands out nine assists
Malcolm Brogdon dished out nine assists in Monday's win over the Rockets, finishing with six points, two rebounds and four steals.

Advice: He still can't find his shot and finished 2-of-8 from the field after going 1-of-10 on Saturday. He came off the bench behind Matthew Dellavedova for the second straight game, but still played 30 minutes compared to 31 for Delly. Coach Jason Kidd said before the game that he moved Brogdon to the bench to give the second unit a spark and Brogdon and Greg Monroe (17 points) did exactly that on Monday. As long as the minutes are there, Brogdon is worth holding onto in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm
  • Matthew Dellavedova scores 16 w/ 7 assists
Matthew Dellavedova started again on Monday vs. the Rockets and had 16 points with seven assists.

Advice: He played 31 minutes compared to 30 minutes for Malcolm Brogdon, but both guards should be heavily involved going forward. Delly added three rebounds, two triples and three turnovers, and considering he was coming off a 15-point game with seven assists, two rebounds and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes on Saturday, feel free to give him a look if you need a low-end guard. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm
  • Reggie Jackson double-doubles in loss
Reggie Jackson hit 6-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers for 18 points, three rebounds and 11 assists in 35 minutes in Monday's 109-104 loss to the Kings.

Advice: RJax has been in cruise control over his last four games, averaging 19.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.8 3-pointers over that stretch. But he only has one steal and has hit 30-of-69 shots over that stretch, good for 44 percent. He's been a bit up and down this season, but is finally in a groove and remains a must-own fantasy point guard as long as he's starting for the Pistons. Andre Drummond also double-doubled with 14 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in the loss. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm
  • Tyreke Evans plays 12 minutes on Monday
Tyreke Evans played just 12 minutes on Monday, finishing with nine points, two rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer on 3-of-8 shooting.

Advice: Evans played just 13 minutes on Friday and has scored a total of just 17 points in his last two games after hitting double digits in five straight games, which included a 29-point breakout on Jan. 12. We're guessing his minutes will come back around soon, but for now, he's not a must-start player until his minutes get back to 20-plus again, instead of the 12.5 he's averaged over his last two. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm
  • Jrue Holiday drops 33 & 10 on Cavs
Jrue Holiday hit 12-of-19 shots, four 3-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws for a season-high 33 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and three blocks in 39 minutes.

Advice: Wow. The Cavs aren't great against opposing point guards and Holiday was in full effect tonight, scoring more than 23 points for the first time this season. We're still a little worried about him being rested down the stretch if the Pelicans are no longer flirting with the playoffs, but owners should plan on riding him until he breaks down at this point. Then again, if there was ever a time to sell high on Holiday, Tuesday will be the day. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
  • James Harden scores 26 w/ 12 assists
James Harden scored 26 points with 12 assists, nine rebounds, four steals, one block and one triple in 40 minutes in Monday's 127-114 loss to the Bucks.

Advice: He came up one rebound short of his 14th triple-double on the season, but he's still leading the league with 39 double-doubles. Harden finished 6-of-10 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line, but according to StatMuse, he's the first player to finish with 11 turnovers in a regular season game vs. the Bucks in the last 30 years. The Rockets are suddenly struggling with five losses in their last eight games, but they will look to bounce back vs. the Celtics on Wednesday, a team that Harden dropped 37 points on earlier this season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:52 pm
  • Austin Rivers tweaks ankle in win
Austin Rivers played through a sprained ankle and finished Monday's 115-105 win over the Hawks with 27 points, four rebounds, six assists and five 3-pointers on 10-of-21 shooting, and played 41 minutes despite the injury.

Advice: The ankle sprain didn't look great on television, but Rivers powered through it and looked like the best player on the court tonight. He's playing very well right now. averaging 18.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 3-pointers on 49 percent shooting over his last five. River and teammate Raymond Felton are both players to own for as long as Chris Paul remains out with his thumb injury, which will be at least for another month. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:40 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick double-doubles in loss
Sean Kilpatrick double-doubled in Monday's loss to the Spurs with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Advice: He played a team-high 31 minutes and had a 27.7 usage rate with Caris LeVert resting and Joe Harris (ankle) on the shelf, adding one assist and one triple on 7-of-16 shooting. Kikpatrick was in a week-long slump before scoring 13 points on Saturday vs. the Hornets with four rebounds, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers, so he might be ready to go on another run. With Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out another 3-5 weeks, give Kilpatrick a look if you need help at guard. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:38 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead scores career-high 19 points
Isaiah Whitehead scored a career-high 19 points in Monday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: He scored six points in nine minutes during garbage time of the fourth quarter, but this was one of Whitehead's best games of the season. He finished 6-of-15 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line with a pair of 3-pointers, adding three assists and one rebound in 29 minutes. Whitehead will have a chance to log plenty of minutes going forward with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out another 3-5 weeks, but keep in mind that he was averaging just 6.6 points and 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in his previous 11 January games. Owners in deeper points leagues can just keep an eye on him for now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:33 pm
  • Dennis Schroder plays well in loss to Clipper
Dennis Schroder hit 7-of-18 shots, a 3-pointer and 6-of-6 free throws for 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 34 minutes of Monday's 115-105 loss to the Clippers.

Advice: He only had two turnovers and has been killing it lately, averaging 20.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 3-pointers on 55 percent shooting over his last five games. If he was a little better at stealing the ball he'd be a little closer to "elite" instead of above average when it comes to NBA point guards in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:23 pm
  • Patty Mills scores 20 w/ four triples
Patty Mills scored 20 points with four 3-pointers, three boards, two assists and one turnover in Monday's 112-86 win over the Nets.

Advice: Mills finished 7-of-13 from the field and did all of his damage in just 20 minutes off the bench. Rookie PG Dejounte Murray cooled off tonight and Mills scored 13 points with five assists and two triples in 31 minutes on Saturday vs. Cleveland, so he will be a streaming option on Tuesday vs. the Raptors if Tony Parker (foot) misses his fourth straight game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:12 pm
  • Dejounte Murray struggles in third start
Dejounte Murray struggled in his third straight start on Monday vs. the Nets, scoring four points on 2-of-8 shooting.

Advice: He only played 22 minutes because Patty Mills had the hot hand off the bench. Murray salvaged his quiet line with six rebounds and three assists, but his owners were left wanting more in a dream matchup. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich called Murray a "keeper" after averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples in his last two games, so look for the rookie to redeem himself on Tuesday vs. Toronto if Tony Parker (foot) misses another game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:09 pm
  • Austin Rivers (ankle) available to return
Austin Rivers (ankle) is available to return on Monday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: The injury looked pretty bad and Rivers had quite a limp, but the Clippers finally get some injury luck with this report. Rivers was the best player on the floor in the first half, so his owners are very fortunate right now. We'll let you know how he fares after the game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:51 pm
  • Austin Rivers (ankle) goes to locker room
Austin Rivers (ankle) left Monday's game vs. the Hawks and went back to the locker room. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:38 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out again Monday
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) will not play on Monday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: He still has no timetable for a return. Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles will continue to log around 20 minutes each off the bench until Stuckey is cleared to return. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:04 pm
    Injured

  • MRI comes back clean on Augustin's ankle
The MRI results on D.J. Augustin's sprained right ankle came back clean, and he's expected to be listed as day-to-day moving forward.

Advice: Augustin might not be able to play Tuesday against the Bulls, but it doesn't sound like he's going to be forced into a lengthy absence here. If Augustin can't play Tuesday, Elfrid Payton will be forced into heavy minutes and Mario Hezonja could see some extended run with the second unit. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:01 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick will come off the bench
Updating a previous report, Sean Kilpatrick will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: The Nets are going to start Randy Foye next to Spencer Dinwiddie in the backcourt. With Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out for the next 3-5 weeks, Kilpatrick has an opportunity to build off his 13-point effort on Saturday vs. the Hornets when he added four rebounds, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers. If he has another strong game tonight, it might be time to give him a look again. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:54 pm
  • Aaron Brooks (right knee) out Monday vs. NYK
Aaron Brooks (sore right knee) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Knicks.

Advice: This is the first we're hearing of a knee issue for Brooks, but considering it's just soreness, he should be able to get back to the court for Thursday's game in Minnesota. With Brooks on the sidelines, Monta Ellis will likely pick up most of his minutes and Joe Young could get into the rotation. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:49 pm
  • Brian Roberts (illness) ruled out for Monday
Brian Roberts (illness) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Roberts rarely makes appearances in the rotation, so his absence from tonight's game will have a negligible impact in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:53 pm
  • D.J. Augustin (ankle) will get an MRI Monday
D.J. Augustin (ankle) will undergo an MRI on Monday.

Advice: He's walking "gingerly" without the use of crutches, but we should get an update on his timetable later this evening. For now, it sounds like he's closer to doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the Bulls. If Augustin misses time, Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson will log heavy minutes in the backcourt and coach Frank Vogel may finally have no choice but to give Mario Hezonja some burn. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:19 am
  • Demetrius Jackson (illness) out Tuesday
Demetrius Jackson (illness) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: Jackson is the fourth-string PG in Boston and has no fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:18 am
  • Popovich says Dejounte Murray is a 'keeper'
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Dejounte Murray is a "keeper."

Advice: Murray has made two straight starts in place of Tony Parker (foot) and is expected to make another one on Monday vs. the Nets. "It doesn’t faze him," Popovich said. "He just comes in and plays. I’m really pleased he’s shown that kind of fiber and composure." The rookie has averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples in his last two games, and while he will likely be demoted to third-string duties when Parker is back, he looks like a nice short-term add and is an intriguing stash in dynasty formats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:17 am
  • Seth Curry hits 6-of-8 shots for 14 points
Seth Curry went 6-of-8 from the field during Sunday's blowout win over the Lakers, on his way to 14 points, two boards, two 3-pointers, three assists, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: Curry had the hot hand early, and he didn't even miss his first shot until midway through the second quarter. The Mavs ended the first half with a season-high 29-point lead and finished the game with a season-best 49-point win (the third-largest victory in Mavs history). As for Curry, he's jumped into the mid-round equation over the past month, and he could be looking at a more active role in the offense if Wesley Matthews (hip) is forced to miss any time. He's worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 3:25 pm
  • Stephen Curry drains seven triples in win
Stephen Curry was en fuego during the Warriors 118-98 blowout victory over the Magic, tallying 27 points, seven 3-pointers, four boards, six assists and three turnovers in 30 minutes of floor time.

Advice: Orlando had precisely zero answers for Curry in this one, as he regularly lit them up from beyond the arc (as per usual) and also showcased his elite passing and decision making abilities during the blowout win. He was the primary factor in Golden State going off for 42 points during the third quarter (their 11th time scoring at least 40 points in a quarter this season), and he may have had an even crazier game if it weren’t for the lopsided score. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:21 am
  • D.J. Augustin (ankle) won't return Sunday
D.J. Augustin (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: X-rays were negative and the Magic are calling the injury a right ankle sprain. Augustin was able to walk gingerly under his own power to the locker room, so hopefully it's not too serious. He finished with zero points, one assist and one rebound in five minutes. Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson will log a ton of minutes the rest of the game and we may see more of Mario Hezonja as well. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:55 am
  • Shaun Livingston will rest on Sunday vs. ORL
Shaun Livingston will rest on Sunday vs. the Magic.

Advice: He's only playing 17.4 minutes per game this season, so this won't have a huge impact on the rotation. With Livingston out, Ian Clark gets a small bump off the bench and Andre Iguodala will run the offense a bit more than usual for the second unit. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 7:16 am
  • Alec Burks looks great vs. Pacers
Alec Burks scored 13 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: This was the Burks we were expecting after the Rodney Hood injury (knee) last weekend. He did run some of the second-unit offense and attacked like he has done throughout his career. Most fantasy owners can take a wait-and-see approach here. Joe Ingles has a strong grip on his role as the short-term starter, playing 33 minutes with two points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:15 pm
  • Dejounte Murray plays really well in start
Dejounte Murray scored 14 points with two rebounds, six assists and two turnovers in a start against the Cavs on Saturday.

Advice: Solid. He didn't close this game out, but that would put him on pace to be a Spurs great with how coach Gregg Popovich doesn't trust rookies. Murray should see some decent run in the first half with Tony Parker (ankle) out and he's already way ahead of the curve. He's worth a look in the short term for deep leagues and his Dynasty owners should be really encouraged today. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:37 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 16 points in start
Austin Rivers scored 16 points with two rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes as the starting point guard against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: The fact that he started over Raymond Felton was a good sign, but getting smoked in the first half negates that. With Blake Griffin (knee) getting really close, it should affect Rivers the most because he's more of a score-first guard and that's not needed as much next to BG. Plus, he has been a nightmare on defense. He's a hold for the rest of the month, but may fall off in February. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:24 pm
  • Mills scores 13 off the bench
Patty Mills scored 13 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday

Advice: With Tony Parker (ankle) set to miss time, Mills will get a better chance for minutes. Although, Dejounte Murray has been fantastic, so Mills may actually not benefit at all. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:04 pm
  • Garrett Temple plays 30 minutes in loss
Garrett Temple scored eight points with three rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and one 3-pointer on Saturday against the Bulls.

Advice: He is averaging 30.2 minutes, 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his last five. With Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season, Temple should continue to see consistent minutes and is worth adding off of waivers in many leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:03 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon plays 30 minutes off bench
Malcolm Brogdon moved to the bench against the Heat on Saturday, scoring four points with two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes.

Advice: The minutes are the good news. The bad news is that he hit just 1-of-10 shots, which has been an issue for Brogdon lately after being one of the best catch-and-shoot players in 2016. Coach Jason Kidd said he wanted to play Brogdon next to Monroe and he certainly did with 14 of Monroe's 17 minutes coming next to the rookie. Brogdon's owner should not worry too much here. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:31 pm
  • James Harden double-doubles vs. Memphis
James Harden scored 29 points with 10 assists, six rebounds, three steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers in Saturday’s 119-95 victory over the Grizzlies.

Advice: This was his best game against Memphis this year, as he recorded his 38th double-double of the season. He will have a day of rest before playing against the Bucks on Monday, a team he scored 38 points with six rebounds and eight assists against in their last meeting. It should be business as usual for the Beard in that matchup. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:28 pm
  • Matthew Dellavedova scores 15 points in loss
Matthew Dellavedova hit 5-of-8 shots for 15 points, seven assists, two rebounds and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes on Saturday against the Heat.

Advice: The move into the starting lineup helped the slumping Dellavedova, who scored more than 10 points for the first time since Dec. 28. Although this was refreshing to see, fantasy owners can leave him on waivers, as he does not produce like he did tonight on a consistent basis. However, if he sticks in the starting unit over Malcolm Brogdon, he's at least worth putting on your watch list in case he starts playing like this on the regular. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:07 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick scores 13 points in loss
Sean Kilpatrick made 5-of-14 from the field for 13 points with four rebounds, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in a start against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: It was just a spot start for the sixth man. Kilpatrick did run the offense more in the first unit in this game, but he had a costly turnover late. Kilpatrick usually subs in for Joe Harris (ankle), so he could be looking at an uptick in minutes. Still, we want to see him play well again before suggesting him as an add. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:54 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead scores three points
Isaiah Whitehead scored three points with three rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: Sure, this line is nothing to write home about, but Whitehead has been very solid. He's not making nearly as many mistakes on both ends and surprising only has just 0.7 turnovers in his last three games. Although, he doesn't have anywhere close to the same ball-handling responsibility as he did when he was a turnover machine earlier year. With Spencer Dinwiddie in a slump, we may see Whitehead get into the upper 20s. All that said, he doesn't really have the upside for ownership in most leagues. Jeremy Lin (hamstring) still isn't practicing yet, by the way. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:43 pm
  • Reggie Jackson scores 19 points in win
Reggie Jackson scored 19 points with three rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: In case you missed it earlier today, coach Stan Van Gundy denied the Jackson trade rumors. "I texted Reggie and just said, 'This is crazy season, and we're not trading you for Ricky Rubio,'" Van Gundy said. In other words, it feels like the recent trade rumor is more about the Ricky Rubio side of this. Jackson hasn't really been very good for his fantasy owners, posting just ninth-round value in standard leagues in 2017. He'll be better than that, but he likely will only be in the middle rounds. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:24 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon to the bench
Malcom Brogdon will come off the bench against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: Besides wanting to get Matt Dellavedova going, coach Jason Kidd likes the idea of keeping Brogdon with Greg Monroe -- that's actually a very valid point. Brogdon owners shouldn't worry too much here because he was playing well off the bench before he was put into the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:24 pm
  • Matt Dellavedova starting, Brogdon to bench
Matt Dellavedova will start and Malcolm Brogdon will come off the bench against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: This is designed to get Dellavedova going and get out of a slump, according to coach Jason Kidd. It could be a one-time thing for Delly and he wasn't playing well even when he was a starter before the injury, so leave him on the wire for now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:22 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick, Trevor Booker will start
Spencer Dinwiddie, Sean Kilpatrick, Bojan Bogdanovic, Trevor Booker and Brook Lopez will start against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: The Nets will keep the NBA's newest sensation, Caris LeVert, on the bench. That's OK, though. Coach Kenny Atkinson likes LeVert a lot as a ball-handler, so he should be very busy in the second unit. As for Kilpatrick, he's been struggling lately, so maybe the day off helps him. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:55 pm
  • Jackson is out for Saturday.
Demetrius Jackson (illness) is not available for Saturday.

Advice: He's not in the rotation right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:29 pm
  • Dejounte Murray to start at PG on Saturday
Dejounte Murray will start at point guard in place of Tony Parker (foot) Saturday vs. the Cavs.

Advice: It was announced earlier in the day that Parker would miss at least two more games. The Spurs are 3-0 when Murray starts this season. He is averaging 12.3 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in the those three contests, although those numbers are inflated due to his awesome outing in the Spurs previous game on Thursday, when he finished with 24 points, two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes. It is probably safe to assume that Patty Mills will see more than the 16 minutes he played on Thursday. A fair expectation is the two point guards will split Saturday's minutes fairly evenly. • Stan Van Gundy denies Jackson-Rubio rumors
Coach Stan Van Gundy has denied an ESPN report that there are currently ongoing trade discussions with the Timberwolves involving Reggie Jackson.

Advice: Van Gundy said the organization doesn't "have a single thing under consideration." However, that's what he would be expected to say if he was trying to hammer out a deal, so conflicting reports don't tell us much. We will keep an eye on the situation. Assuming that Jackson and Ricky Rubio are the primary pieces in the deal, such a trade would not have a major impact on either player's fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:15 am
  • Alec Burks gets just 12 minutes
Alec Burks played 12 minutes against the Mavs on Friday with seven points, two rebounds and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He actually got some run at point guard tonight, but clearly the Jazz aren't ready up Burks' minutes so soon with the team playing well. If you haven't dropped him yet, we'll let you know if he pops back up. It does help that the Jazz seem pretty clueless on their backup point guard right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:18 am
  • Dennis Schroder carves up Bulls
Dennis Schroder was in control against the Bulls during a 102-93 win on Friday, making 11-of-14 from the field for 25 points with three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in just 27 minutes.

Advice: Since he was benched last weekend for two games, Schroder looks to be back. In those three games, he's averaged 22.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.3 steals and 1.0 treys on 70.7 percent from the field. He'll have another slump at some point, but that's just who he is. Expect him to be around mid-round value. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:09 pm
  • Jeff Teague scores 11 w/ seven assists
Jeff Teague scored 11 points with seven assists, three rebounds, one steal, one block and one triple in Friday's loss to the Lakers.

Advice: He was just 3-of-9 from the field in 33 minutes with six turnovers, but did hit all four of his free throws. Teague cooled off tonight, but he's been great for the most part this season and Pacers president Larry Bird made it clear that re-signing Teague in the offseason will be a priority. "We like Jeff. We like Jeff very much," Bird said. "We hope he’s a part of this franchise for a long time." Teague should be a top-50 option going forward with the Pacers making a playoff push. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:35 pm
  • Stephen Curry scores 24 points
Stephen Curry scored 24 points against the Rockets on Friday with one rebound, seven assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: The Warriors continue to get him more touches as the facilitator of the offense. Curry's disappointing December by his standards is way behind him and he can chalk it up to the X's and O's of the offense. Not that any Curry owner should've been worried, but he's back to being that team-carrying guy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:20 pm
  • James Harden struggles in loss to Warriors
James Harden scored 17 points with seven rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and seven turnovers against the Warriors during a 125-108 loss on Friday.

Advice: It was a game to forget. The Warriors ability to switch so well really kept Harden in check to limit his open looks. Plus, Harden said the Rockets really missed Ryan Anderson (illness) tonight to help space the floor. Harden gets another bad matchup on Saturday in Memphis, but he's as matchup proof as it gets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:08 pm
  • Tyreke Evans scores eight points in loss
Tyreke Evans scored just eight points with four rebounds, no assists, two steals and one turnover in 13 minutes during a 143-114 blowout loss to the Nets on Friday.

Advice: The last time we saw Evans play the Nets, he busted out for 29 points. Of course, that was because he was on fire and Anthony Davis was out. He's going to be off for a couple days, so we'll see if he gets an increase on his minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:45 pm
  • Garrett Temple scores 14 points in start
Garrett Temple started on Friday vs. the Grizzlies and scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 33 minutes.

Advice: He was the only starter to eclipse 30 minutes in the blowout, so it's safe to say that the workload will be there with Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season. Temple added three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples and was averaging 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season, so pick him up if those stats fit your team well. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:51 pm
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) plays well in return
Ty Lawson (ankle) returned to action on Friday vs. the Grizzlies and played well with 13 points and five assists off the bench.

Advice: He shot 4-of-10 from the field in 23 minutes and also added four rebounds, one steal and one turnover. The Kings briefly used a two-PG lineup tonight, but we should see more of that moving forward with Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season. Lawson outplayed Darren Collison in this one and the Kings have lost four straight games, so it will be interesting to see if he's more involved on Saturday vs. the Bulls. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:22 pm
  • D.J. Augustin hands out eight assists in win
D.J. Augustin scored 10 points with eight assists, two rebounds and a 3-pointer in 28 minutes in Friday's win over the Bucks.

Advice: With Jodie Meeks (thumb) and Evan Fournier (heel, foot) out, we could see a lot more two-PG lineups going forward. That means a boost in minutes for Augustin (28), Elfrid Payton (37) and C.J. Watson (31). Augustin doesn't have great upside and finished just 3-of-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line, but he's a decent pickup in deeper leagues if you need short-term value. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:52 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon scores 16 points
Malcolm Brogdon scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting vs. the Magic on Friday.

Advice: He was held to seven points in Wednesday's loss to the Rockets, but the matchup was a lot better tonight. Brogdon hit a career-high four triples in the loss with five assists, two rebounds and one steal, and he was third on the team in minutes played with 35. Brogdon's usage rate could take a hit with Khris Middleton (hamstring) rumored to be near a return, but his owners shouldn't be concerned. He's been the second best rookie in fantasy right behind The Process. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:05 pm
  • Reggie Jackson linked to Minnesota
The Wolves and Pistons have discussed a potential PG swap between Reggie Jackson and Ricky Rubio.

Advice: Both teams have really struggled this season so it's not a surprise that they are looking to shake things up. Both Jackson and Rubio are signed to long-term deals, so it would be a shock if they did not start on their new teams if a deal can be worked out. The two teams are in the "talking" stage for now, but we'll let you know when we learn more. Jackson's value would be safe in Minnesota and he would be a decent fit under coach Tom Thibodeau for his defensive prowess. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:45 pm
  • Garrett Temple starting vs. the Grizzlies
Garrett Temple is starting vs. the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: Rudy Gay (Achilles) is out for the season and Temple and Matt Barnes will likely see the biggest bump in minutes. Temple doesn't have great upside, but he did put up averages of 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season. Give him a look if has a strong game tonight. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:58 pm
  • Ty Lawson says he will play against Memphis
Ty Lawson (ankle) said he will play against Memphis on Friday night.

Advice: He went through warmups and apparently everything went well. The Kings were ditching their two-PG lineups earlier this month, but it may be back out of necessity due to the Rudy Gay (Achilles) injury. Garrett Temple is still worth a look in standard leagues even though he'll play more two and three. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:57 pm
  • Ty Lawson will be a game-time call
Ty Lawson (ankle) will be a game-time call to face the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: He is going to warm up to see how he feels. Lawson had the same scenario last time and was expected to play, but he did not. If he can't go, Garrett Temple should get heavy run as a combo guard behind a busy Darren Collison. Arron Afflalo would also play more, but isn't a fantasy option. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:48 pm
  • Sean Kilpatrick, Trevor Booker will rest
Sean Kilpatrick and Trevor Booker will rest against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: It's the front end of a back-to-back set and Kilpatrick will get his first rest day. For tonight, there will be more minutes going to Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic and Rondae-Hollis Jefferson. Kilpatrick has lost a lot of his luster and isn't worth owning in standard leagues. By the way, expect rest coming for other Nets on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:41 pm
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) questionable for Friday
Ty Lawson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. Memphis.

Advice: Lawson did not play Wednesday after twisting his ankle in the second half of Sunday's game. Darren Collison is a tempting DFS play if Lawson does not suit on Friday. Collison played well on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points, nine assists and four steals in 37 minutes. Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:37 am
  • Dejounte Murray returned to action on Thursday January 19. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:29 am
  • Austin Rivers scores 20 points vs. T-Wolves
Austin Rivers scored 20 points with two assists, one rebound, one block and two 3-pointers in Thursday's 101-104 loss to the Timberwolves.

Advice: Rivers fouled out with five seconds left in the game, but was feeling it tonight as he scored 20 points for just the sixth time this season. He continues to play big minutes, averaging over 35 minutes per game in January and playing at least 31 minutes in eight consecutive games. With Chris Paul (hand) out for 6-8 weeks, Rivers will remain a big part of the Clippers offense until Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:11 pm
  • Patty Mills doesn't do much as backup
Patty Mills scored three points with one rebound, two assists and one 3-pointer against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: Dejounte Murray isn't going to go off every night, so expect Mills to be better when Tony Parker (foot) doesn't play. Keep an eye on Parker's status for Saturday, but he is traveling to play in Cleveland. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:49 pm
  • Dejounte Murray scores career-high 24 points
Dejounte Murray had easily his best NBA game of his career in a start for Tony Parker (foot) on Thursday, scoring a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from the field with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Wow. Murray had no jumper in his time at Washington, making just 34.0 percent of his twos and 28.8 percent of his threes. He also had some horrendous turnover woes, so the one turnover in all that playing time is almost as impressive as the scoring. Clearly, things are working out nicely for the rookie and the Spurs clearly trust him as their No. 3 point guard. This game is a huge fluke, but keep him in mind if Tony Parker (foot) misses games again. Parker is likely to play on Saturday against the Cavs. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:47 pm
  • Dejounte Murray will start for Parker vs. DEN
Dejounte Murray will start for Tony Parker (foot) against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: It'll be the third start of his career. In his previous two, he averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 boards, 2.5 assists and 0.5 treys. He's actually shot the ball a lot better, but obviously you would have to be in a deep league to grab him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:30 pm
  • Dejounte Murray expected to be available
Dejounte Murray (ankle) is expected to be available for Thursday against the Nuggets.

Advice: He may actually get a start after missing the last two games. Murray has almost no value right now, but he is playing better. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:11 pm
  • West All-Star starters named on Thursday
Stephen Curry, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis were named as the Western Conference All-Star starters.

Advice: That's right. Russell Westbrook is averaging a triple-double and he's not going to be starting the All-Star Game. Westbrook is also on pace for the record for usage rate and is second in the NBA in assists per game. Curry got a bump to get the nod over Westy due to the fan voting, but he's certainly playing like an All-Star. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:14 pm
  • 76ers will take a 'hard look' at Jrue Holiday
According to Zach Lowe of ESPN, the 76ers will take a "hard look" at Jrue Holiday.

Advice: The 76ers traded away Holiday to start "The Process" back in 2013, but he would be an interesting fit next to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid in Philly. Holiday is set to become a free agent and several teams will be in the market for a PG including Philly, Orlando, New York and Sacramento, and the Pelicans are worried that he will walk this summer. It's not clear if the 76ers will entertain the idea of trading for Holiday when they can just wait until the summer to make him an offer, but this is something to keep an eye on as we approach the Feb. 23 deadline. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:32 am
  • Victor Oladipo scores 20 pts w/ four steals
Victor Oladipo bounced back on Wednesday with 20 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block during a 121-100 loss in Oracle Arena on Wednesday.

Advice: The Thunder were pummeled by the Clippers on Monday, which limited VO to 24 minutes, a fluky game that should be dismissed for evaluation purposes. The best sign for fantasy owners is that Oladipo's four steals tonight were a season high -- he has eight in his past three games, a trend that could significantly boost his overall fantasy appeal. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:31 pm
  • Russell Westbrook gets his 21st triple-double
Russell Westbrook picked up his 21st triple-double of the season on Wednesday with 27 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists, but he also had 10 turnovers in a lopsided loss to the Warriors.

Advice: Westbrook had his triple-double halfway through the third quarter, marking the 22nd time in his career that he's done it in three quarters or less. He made 8-of-23 FGs and 10-of-11 FTs tonight, with two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer, and continues to be a ridiculous fantasy asset on a nightly basis, especially in DFS and points leagues. Tonight's loss drops the Thunder into a virtual tie with Memphis for the No. 7 seed in the West, but they're still six games up on the No. 8 seed Nuggets. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:26 pm
  • Garrett Temple drops nine points in 29 mins
Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with nine points, four rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He should be getting a big bump in usage and playing time with Rudy Gay (Achilles). In the previous stretch Gay missed 10 of 11 games, Temple averaged 10.2 points, 3.4 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 treys on 42.4 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the line. That was good for eighth-round value, so he is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:15 pm
  • James Harden scores 38 points in victory
James Harden put on an offensive clinic during a 111-92 win over the Bucks on Wednesday, scoring 38 points with six rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: If you didn't see this game, you missed a great one with Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo going off. Antetokounmpo gave Harden some props after the game. "I think I can say right now he is the best player in the league," Giannis said. Harden has been surging over his last seven, averaging 34.3 points, 9.0 boards, 10.1 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.9 treys on 63.2 true shooting percentage. This game also moved him past Anthony Davis for No. 2 on the points per game leader board this season. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:17 pm
  • Reggie Jackson's 26 points lead DET past ATL
Reggie Jackson drained 10-of-20 shots en route to 26 points on Wednesday, adding five boards, four assists and two 3-pointers in an easy 118-95 win vs. Atlanta.

Advice: Detroit scored 42 points in the first quarter tonight, their highest-scoring quarter of the entire season, and Jackson was the early engine of the offense. He's really found a groove in January, averaging 19.5 points, 1.8 triples, 5.4 assists and 0.9 steals, which is more in line with his numbers from last season. His owners' patience is finally paying off. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:09 pm
  • Tyreke Evans fills it up in just 20 minutes
Tyreke Evans made the most of his 20 minutes vs. the Magic on Wednesday, scoring 18 points with five assists, four rebounds, three steals and four 3-pointers.

Advice: New Orleans' offense ran wild tonight and Evans looked great once again -- over the past five games he's now averaging 17.0 points on 50.0 percent FGs and 92.9 percent FTs, 1.6 triples, 3.2 boards, 4.4 assists and 2.0 steals. He said he's "getting used to [a bench role], just coming off, being aggressive," and he needs to be in your active lineups in light of his recent success. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:04 pm
  • Jrue Holiday gets five steals in win vs Magic
Jrue Holiday stole the ball five times vs. the Magic on Wednesday, while scoring 14 points with five assists, two rebounds and two blocks in just 26 minutes.

Advice: The Pelicans have "tried something new" by going small lately, and coach Alvin Gentry noted that "it increases the pace" but makes it hard to compete on the boards. New Orleans wound up with a season-high 38 fast-break points tonight, and Holiday could have had an even bigger line if the game weren't out of hand in the fourth quarter. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:02 pm
  • Matthew Dellavedova plays 17 minutes
Matthew Dellavedova scored five points with two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Advice: The Bucks are playing him next to Malcolm Brogdon at times this season, but clearly the rookie has earned the lion's share of the minutes at point guard. Dellavedova isn't worth owning in most leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:17 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon scores seven points
Malcolm Brogdon scored seven points with eight rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Advice: He had to go up against Pat Beverley a lot tonight, but he's slightly cooled off since Matt Dellavedova played 20 minutes for the first time in 2017. In those five, Brogdon averaged 12.0 points, 4.4 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 treys on 42.0 percent from the field. That's still more than serviceable for his owners, so keep him rolling in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:04 pm
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) ruled out for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play against the Pacers on Wednesday night.

Advice: He tried to test out his ankle, but apparently wasn't as healthy as expected. With Lawson out tonight. Garrett Temple should get some minutes as the backup point guard to go with some minutes at the two. Darren Collison is also coming off a 21-pont game and could have some success against his former team. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:24 pm
  • Ty Lawson expected to play on Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) remains expected to play on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Advice: This is a pretty much non-update, but it may also be the last one with how the Kings report their injuries. For now, expect Lawson to play and get minutes in the low 20s. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:14 pm
  • Report: 76ers will target Jrue Holiday as UFA
The 76ers will reportedly "take a hard look" at Jrue Holiday during free agency this offseason.

Advice: Holiday will be an unrestricted free agent when the offseason hits, and Holiday will be one of the more attractive point guards on the market, and he also makes sense in Philly's system as he could work off the ball next to Ben Simmons. We still have a long way to go until free agency, so this is just something to file away for later. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:26 am
  • Patty Mills (left calf tightness) scores 11
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) returned from a one-game absence on Tuesday vs. the Wolves and scored 11 points in 19 minutes.

Advice: His injury is minor and it sounds like he was rested against the Suns on Saturday. He saw a couple minutes less than normal tonight, but was still productive with four assists, one rebound and three triples on 4-of-10 shooting. Tony Parker is playing better these days, so he's the PG you want to own in San Antonio unlike earlier in the season. We'll let you know when that changes. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:21 pm
  • Austin Rivers looking at an increased role
Austin Rivers is looking at an increased role moving forward with Chris Paul (thumb) out 6-8 weeks.

Advice: Rivers was going to lose some value with Blake Griffin (knee) nearing a return, but not so fast. With Paul out, both Rivers and Felton could realistically play over 30 minutes a night even with a healthy Blake. Rivers is averaging 16.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 triples in January, and his usage rate climbs from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court. Go pick him up. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:34 pm
  • Demetrius Jackson sent down to D-League
The Celtics have assigned Demetrius Jackson to their D-League affiliate.

Advice: Neat. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:46 pm
  • Ty Lawson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (ankle) is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Lawson twisted his left ankle in the second half of the Sunday's game vs. OKC and was unable to return. However, it appears that the injury is minor and that Lawson "isn't expecting to miss" the Kings next game, which is Wednesday vs. Indiana. Stay tuned for a formal update from the team regarding his status. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:12 am
  • Russell Westbrook scores 24 points in loss
Russell Westbrook scored 24 points on 7-of-19 shooting with five rebounds, four assists, two steals, two triples and four turnovers in Monday's blowout loss to the Clippers.

Advice: It's amazing that a line like this can actually be called an off night, but that's how good Westy has been this season. He's still averaging a triple-double on the year, so his owners have nothing to complain about. He gets a matchup with Kevin Durant and the Warriors on Wednesday, but he struggled in their first meeting with 20 points on 4-of-15 shooting. He will still be a recommended DFS target for obvious reasons. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:35 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 16 w/ six assists
Austin Rivers scored 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting in Monday's win over the Thunder.

Advice: He played impressive defense on Russell Westbrook and is thriving with the first unit. Rivers logged 35 minutes and added six assists, two rebounds, one steal and two triples, and he could have the ball in his hands a lot more if Chris Paul (sprained thumb) misses any time. Rivers' usage rate rises from 14.9 to 21.8 when Paul is off the court, so he looks like a solid pickup in addition to Raymond Felton. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:18 pm
  • Alec Burks fizzles in nine minutes
Alec Burks played just nine minutes and missed all four of his shots, failing to score a point in Monday's 106-101 win over the Suns.

Advice: Joe Ingles started for Rodney Hood (knee) and played well, and Joe Johnson was Joe Cool off the bench with 15 points and three 3-pointers, so Burks looks like the big loser in the Hood-injury sweepstakes. If you picked up Burks in hopes of a decent week, we'd recommend throwing him back and taking a flier on Ingles or Johnson, instead. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:16 pm
  • Stephen Curry hands out 11 assists in win
Stephen Curry scored 20 points and matched his season high with 11 assists in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Advice: Curry was quiet when these two teams met on Christmas day, but he looked much more comfortable out there this time. He finished 7-of-20 from the field and 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, adding two rebounds and four steals in 31 minutes. Curry has been a new player since the turn of the year and was averaging 29.2 points, 6.2 assists and 4.2 3-pointers in his previous six January games. This is the Curry fantasy owners spent a top-3 pick on. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:55 pm
  • Jrue Holiday scores 11 w/ six assists
Jrue Holiday scored 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting with six assists, two rebounds, one steal and two triples vs. the Pacers on Monday.

Advice: Holiday only played 26 minutes because E'Twaun Moore had the hot hand off the bench Monday. His minutes are down in January and he's coming off a one-point dud in his previous outing vs. the Bulls, but this has opened up a nice buy-low opportunity for savvy fantasy owners. Holiday has early-round upside and was a monster after the All-Star break last season, so hopefully he can find his form soon. Moore is not a long-term threat. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:53 pm
  • Tyreke Evans scores 12 points in loss
Tyreke Evans scored 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting in Monday's loss to the Pacers.

Advice: Evans appeared to bang his surgically-repaired left knee on the floor after a layup attempt and he was seen rubbing it, but he was able to carry on and didn't appear to be limited. Evans' owners are going to freak out whenever they hear about his left knee, but it sounds like he escaped with just a bruise. He added five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 23 minutes, and he could be looking at a larger role if Anthony Davis (back) is forced to miss any time -- the last time Davis missed a game, Evans went off for a season-high 29 points with four rebounds, three assists, four steals, one block and two 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:30 pm
  • Jeff Teague scores 16 w/ 10 assists
Jeff Teague double-doubled with 16 points and 10 assists in Monday's 98-95 win over the Pelicans.

Advice: Teague rolled his right ankle and hobbled to the bench, but fortunately he didn't miss any time. Teague had a right ankle sprain back in November and a left ankle sprain earlier this month, but it sounds like he escaped with a minor tweak. He finished 7-of-10 from the field and hit his only free throw, adding eight rebounds and one triple in 37 minutes. Teague should be fine for Wednesday's game vs. the Kings, but his owners should double check his status just in case his ankle swells up overnight. He's yet to miss a game this season. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:05 pm
  • Dennis Schroder close out, scores 28 points
Dennis Schroder bounced back against the Knicks on Monday during a 108-107 win, scoring 28 points with three rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: This was a huge game for him. Schroder has plenty of blemishes in his time in MSG. He was a DNP-CD last year and he also didn't close out in a previous game this season. Schroder also didn't close out in the previous two games, but he did today and hit a massive 3-pointer to get the win. After a brief drop off, Schroder looks like he's back. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:30 pm
  • Dejounte Murray (ankle) out Tuesday vs. MIN
Dejounte Murray (sprained right ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Advice: He's a negligible part of the rotation on most nights, so his absence from Tuesday's game will have zero consequence in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:09 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out next 4 games
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) will miss at least the next four games for the Pacers.

Advice: Stuckey has suited up for just 17 of Indiana's 42 games this season, and there's no scenario out there where he would warrant a hold. Monte Ellis and C.J. Miles will continue to earn minutes in the 20s off the Pacers' bench, and Miles is worth a look for deep league GMs looking for some 3-point help. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:52 am
    Injured

  • Patty Mills (calf) plans to play Tuesday
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) said that he will play vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

Advice: He said he's been experiencing tightness in his calf for a while, so that might explain his recent dip in production. Assuming he's good to go for Tuesday, Mills should see his normal workload of minutes in the 20s. Give him a look if you need to stream a couple 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:02 am
  • Isaiah Whitehead returned to action on Sunday January 15. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 12:19 am
  • Victor Oladipo scores 23 points in win
Victor Oladipo hit 7-of-14 shots for 23 points with two assists, one rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes on Sunday vs. the Kings.

Advice: This marked the first time he has a 20-point game since Nov. 30. However, Oladipo is having a nice month, averaging 34.3 minutes, 17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 treys per game in January. He's becoming more consistent as the season progresses, which is a good sign for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 10:02 pm
  • Russell Westbrook triple-doubles vs. Kings
Russell Westbrook scored 36 points, with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in Sunday’s 122-118 victory over the Kings.

Advice: He shot the ball well today, hitting 11-of-21 field goals and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, while recording his 20th triple-double of the season. He does have a tendency to turn the ball over a lot, but makes up for it by stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis. He remains the league’s leader with a 41.1 percent usage rate. The Thunder are 16-4 whenever Westbrook has triple-doubled this season. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 9:52 pm
  • Ty Lawson exits Sunday's game vs. OKC
Ty Lawson (ankle) twisted his left ankle and will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: Lawson played 20 minutes and scored four points with four assists, one rebound and one steal before leaving the game. If he misses any time, Darren Collison and Garrett Temple will get a boost. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:22 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returns, plays 15 min
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returned from a one-game absence on Sunday with six points, four assists, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Whitehead came off the bench behind Spencer Dinwiddie, who chipped in eight dimes in 24 minutes as a starter. Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been sidelined for most of the season and his return date is still something of a mystery, but it's hard to trust either Whitehead or Dinwiddie while they're pitched in a position battle. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:20 pm
  • James Harden gets 12th triple-double Sunday
James Harden posted another triple-double on Sunday, his 12th of the season, with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, four 3-pointers, one steal and one block.

Advice: The Rockets scored 74 points in the first half, matching a season-high, and they finished with 137 points in a high-scoring rout in Brooklyn. Harden trails Russell Westbrook's 19 triple-doubles, but he leads the league with 35 double-doubles. Any way you slice it, he's been amazing in both reality and fantasy. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:08 pm
  • Dennis Schroder lousy in 24 minutes vs. Bucks
Dennis Schroder had a game to forget on Sunday, committing five turnovers with six points, six assists and two rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

Advice: This marks Schroder's second straight dud, and it's not encouraging that backup PG Malcolm Delaney has been great in both of those games. The Hawks have been streaking lately and coach Mike Budenholzer isn't afraid to ride the hot hand, but there's no cause for panic here. Schroder should get back on track in a matchup vs. Derrick Rose and the Knicks on Monday. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 4:55 pm
  • Malcolm Brogdon gets zero boards or assists
Malcolm Brogdon didn't have any rebounds or assists in 26 minutes on Sunday, though he did score 12 points with two 3-pointers, two steals and one block.

Advice: The Bucks' rookie had at least five dimes in his previous seven games, but tonight his playmaking duties were overtaken by Giannis Antetokounmpo (six assists) and Jabari Parker (nine assists). Brogdon has been a textbook waiver-wire steal this season, and owners should just shrug this one off. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 4:52 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) available to play
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: He could start, which would send Spencer Dinwiddie back to the bench, but even as a starter Whitehead isn't worth a roster spot in almost any setting. Dinwiddie is also a non-option in most leagues regardless of how he enters the game. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 12:45 pm
  • Celtics recall Demetrius Jackson
The Celtics have recalled Demetrius Jackson from the D-League

Advice: He's fourth on the depth chart at PG in Boston and has zero fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 8:02 am
  • Stephen Curry intends to re-sign with GSW
Stephen Curry made it clear once again that he will re-sign with the Warriors this summer.

Advice: "I can’t," Curry said when asked if he could see himself leaving the Warriors as a free agent. "Like I’ve said from Day 1 when I was first asked about free agency, this is a perfect place to play. Bay Area fans are amazing, our organization’s amazing, we’ve put together an amazing team that’s competing for championships every year." Under the new CBA, the Warriors could potentially offer Curry a five-year extension worth about $209 million, while opposing teams would only be able to offer a four-year deal worth about $133 million. • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks said he's close to 100 percent after his eight-point game in 15 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: He said he's been waiting for this for "like a year" and he said he knew he was ready to play. Burks acknowledged he had a serious injury and he's still improving. He said he wanted to get to the rim more and he plans on doing that more as he gets more comfortable. With Rodney Hood (knee) possibly missing time, Burks is a speculative add in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 2:17 am
  • Dante Exum a non-factor vs. Orlando
Dante Exum scored two points in seven minutes with one assist in Saturday’s win against the Magic.

Advice: Exum appears to have fallen behind in Utah’s backcourt rotation. Alec Burks is back in the picture and played well tonight, so Exum could continue to struggle for playing time in the foreseeable future. He should not be owned in any format. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:18 pm
  • Alec Burks scores eight points in 14 mins
Alec Burks played 14 minutes and scored eight points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in Saturday’s 114-107 victory of the Magic.

Advice: Burks was recalled from the D-League on Jan. 12 and could hang around for a while, as Rodney Hood (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee in tonight’s game. He has only appeared in six games for the Jazz this season, but could see a larger role if Hood misses any time. He looked good tonight and can play multiple positions for Utah. That being said, for now, Burks can be left on waivers, but he is someone worth keeping an eye on. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:12 pm
  • Tyreke Evans scores 14 points
Tyreke Evans made 6-of-15 from the field 14 points with one rebound, six assists, one steal and one turnover in 22 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: Bad shooting line aside, Evans really does look great. He's run the offense for most of his minutes while he's out there and he's playing three positions in the process. There's a massive injury risk on Evans going forward, but his owners can start using him as a must-start player when active. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:18 pm
  • Jrue Holiday struggles vs. Bulls
Jrue Holiday missed all seven attempts from the field against the Bulls on Saturday, adding one point, three rebounds and 12 assists in 29 minutes.

Advice: It was a bad day for Holiday for obvious reasons. He did also tweak his foot or ankle, but he didn't need to miss time. Another negative is that Tyreke Evans was really in control of the offense and had a better feel for where the weak spots of the defense were. To be clear, there's no need to worry about Holiday, but there could be an adjustment period playing with Evans. He should flirt with early-round value once he gets it going. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:16 pm
  • Alec Burks will be in the rotation
Alec Burks will be in the rotation with Joe Johnson (rest) out on Saturday against the Magic.

Advice: We saw Burks get five minutes on Friday night, but he didn't play well on the offensive side. The Jazz loved him at times last year with some point guard minutes, but he's in a tight spot for minutes. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 4:49 pm
  • Austin Rivers scores 15 points in start
Austin Rivers scored 15 points with one rebound, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: He likely has the starting job locked up with his dad trusting him against small forwards of all sizes until Blake Griffin (knee) comes back. Rivers has been very effective in his last four, averaging 19.0 points, 3.8 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 treys. He'll be taking a big hit once BG comes back and only has three games for the upcoming week, so Rivers' value isn't the greatest going forward. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 3:26 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) probable for Sunday
Isaiah Whitehead (sprained left knee) is probable for Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: It looks like he only needs one game off due to his injury from Thursday night. Whitehead should go back to his starting role and be looking at minutes in the mid 20s. Spencer Dinwiddie will seem similar playing time while Randy Foye could get bumped out of the rotation. This is a situation to avoid for most fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 2:05 pm
  • Patty Mills (left calf) will not play vs. PHX
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: Mills doesn't have any noteworthy calf issues in his career, so this is something new. The Spurs can rest him today to give him four full days off before their game on Tuesday against the Wolves. With Dejounte Murray also out, the Spurs will have to be creative with their backup point guard. It would likely be Manu Ginobili while Tony Parker could get a few extra minutes in a great matchup tonight. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 12:06 pm
  • Celtics send Demetrius Jackson to D-League
Demetrius Jackson has been assigned to the D-League.

Advice: Jackson, who is not a part of the Celtics rotation, has been back and forth between Boston and the D-League multiple times this season. He should not be owned in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:05 am
  • Rivalry between Thomas & Schroder heats up
The rivalry between Dennis Schroder and Isaiah Thomas escalated during the Celtics victory over the Hawks on Friday night.

Advice: Schroder played poorly on Saturday (four points, three rebounds, three assists) while Thomas excelled (28 points, four rebounds, nine assists) and hit the game-winner. Afterward, Schroder said: "If he thinks that he got to curse at my mom or say some dumb stuff about my family, that has nothing to do with basketball. That’s his choice. I’ve got too much class for that. Next one, we are going to get it." Mark down Feb. 27 on your calendars, as that's the next time the C's and Hawks meet up. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 6:45 am
  • Jackson: 'It's been a season from hell'
Reggie Jackson voiced his frustration regarding the Pistons poor defense after getting blown out by the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: "It has to be fixed -- or it's going to be a long (expletive) season," Jackson said. "It's been a season from hell so far. So it's going to be a long-(expletive) season if we don't find a way to fix it." Over the last 15 games, the Pistons possess the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA while allowing 111.0 points per game. Coach Stan Van Gundy has tried to tweak the lineup but hasn't found the right recipe. Jackson has struggled himself but his minutes will likely stay consistently high. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 6:33 am
  • Ty Lawson scores 17 points vs. Cavs
Ty Lawson scored 17 points with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: The Kings are really starting to ditch the two-PG lineups, which is going to hurt Lawson and Darren Collison, who scored 13 points with one rebound, four assists and two 3-pointers. Lawson is trending back down and is only a borderline asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 10:53 pm
  • James Harden scores 27 points in loss
James Harden scored 27 points in a 110-105 home loss to the Grizzlies on Friday, adding three rebounds, nine assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Coach Mike D'Antoni was a little late on putting Harden back in during this game, which may have been a factor in the loss. The Rockets are now on their first losing streak of the season, but you can bet they'll be snapping out of it in Brooklyn on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 10:29 pm
  • Dennis Schroder gets benched late
Dennis Schroder played just 23 minutes against the Celtics on Friday with four points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: He did not close this game out in what was obviously his worst game in a long time. We've seen Schroder getting in coach Mike Budenholzer's doghouse before, but it hasn't happened too much this season. Perhaps he was just worked up based on his comments about Isaiah Thomas before the game because of an incident last year. "If he don’t slap me, nothing is going to happen," he said. Expect him to bounce back on Sunday against the Bucks. Rotoworld.com Jan 13, 9:27 pm
