  • Jose Calderon (hamstring) out Monday vs. UTA
Jose Calderon (right hamstring strain) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Jazz.

Advice: With Calderon, Nick Young (Achilles), D’Angelo Russell (knee) all set to spend Monday night on the sidelines, the Lakers could go with a starting backcourt of Jordan Clarkson and Marcelo Huertas, with Clarkson being the preferable fantasy target. Lou Williams, who is coming off a 40-point game, will also see some increased opportunity on Monday night, as would Brandon Ingram. Rotoworld.com 45 minutes ago
  • Trevor Ariza (back) listed as day-to-day
Mike D'Antoni said that Trevor Ariza (back) was feeling better, and the Rockets are listing him as day-to-day.

Advice: Ariza exited Friday's game during the closing minutes with back spasms and did not return, but Houston was up by 20 when Ariza tapped out. He did sit out Sunday's practice, and while he did say he was feeling better, he acknowledged that he might not play Monday vs. Boston. If he’s out, Corey Brewer and K.J. McDaniels would see a boost in value. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:17 am

  • John Wall sits out practice, will play Monday
John Wall (rest) sat out of practice on Sunday.

Advice: He is a little "banged up" with a thigh contusion, but the Wizards are just managing his reps in practice to keep him fresh for the games. He also missed a practice on Thursday and ended up scoring 17 points with 15 dimes against the Spurs on Friday. He's fine. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:58 am
  • Reggie Jackson (knee) will play Sunday
Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) will play on Sunday vs. the Magic.

Advice: He was listed as out on the pre-game notes, but the decision on his status was always up to Jackson. Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Jackson will play 4-5 minutes per quarter, so he's looking at roughly 18-20 minutes of action if this holds up. The Pistons are going to ease him back into action, so DFS owners can't trust him right away. If you own Ish Smith, it makes sense to wait and see what happens over the next week before moving on. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:49 am
  • Gary Harris (foot) is ahead of schedule
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said he thinks that Gary Harris is "ahead of schedule."

Advice: "I don’t want to say anything that would be off-base. I don’t know if he’s going to be able to play at the end of this road trip," Malone said. "Maybe when we get back. I know that our medical staff has been very pleased about how he’s progressed with his rehab and his on-court work." The Nuggets are going to ramp up his workload this week, so he's a nice stash for owners in need of triples and steals. Will Barton should be a strong play in fantasy for the next couple weeks until Harris is able to return. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:43 am

  • Malone says DEN is being cautious w/ Jokic
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said the team is being cautious with Nikola Jokic (wrist).

Advice: "Talking to Nikola, he wants to play right when he can catch the ball," Malone said. "I think we’ll probably be a little more cautious than that on this road trip, maybe get it looked at again just to kind of see where it’s at once the swelling goes down." He's been ruled out for the next two games, meaning the earliest we could see him back on the court is Thursday against the Wizards. Jokic looked great right before the injury and should obviously be stashed everywhere. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:15 am

  • James Jones will retire after next season
James Jones said that he will retire after the 2017-18 season.

Advice: "I know playing 15 years is a number where I can look back and I can be like, ‘I accomplished something," Jones said. "Fourteen vs. 15 may not be much, but to be able to say I played 15 years, that’s enough for me to hang ‘em up." He's only averaging 5.0 minutes per game this season, but he's hit 8-of-11 from 3-point range on the season. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:09 am
  • Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) listed as out
Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) is listed as out for Sunday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: Game notes aren't 100 percent accurate and there's still an outside chance that R-Jax could be active Sunday. He returned to full practice last week and coach Stan Van Gundy said it's basically up to him when he wants to return. SVG did mention that his stamina will be an issue early on, so his workload should be limited right out of the gate. Regardless, he shouldn't be sitting on any waiver wires right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:34 am
  • Jared Dudley gets just 13 minutes Saturday
Jared Dudley played just 13 minutes in Saturday's blowout loss to the Warriors, hitting 1-of-4 shots for two points, two rebounds and one assist.

Advice: This was basically his worst game of the season and a little surprising, as he had 17 points and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday. The lopsided score had a lot to do with it, but the bottom line is that Dudley has been maddeningly inconsistent this season. We'd rather own P.J. Tucker. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
  • Eric Bledsoe scores 27 in loss to Warriors
Eric Bledsoe hit 10-of-19 shots and five 3-pointers on his way to 27 points, five rebounds, four assists and five steals in Saturday's blowout 138-109 loss to the Warriors.

Advice: You hardly hear Bledsoe's name this season or see him in the highlight shows, but he's killing it, averaging 22.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.4 3-pointers over his last five games. He's returning fourth-round value for the season in leagues that don't count turnovers, and his value appears to be climbing right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:42 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores 16 points vs. Heat
Allen Crabbe scored 16 points with three rebounds and four 3-pointers against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: He's been whisper quiet for most of the season due to only a 14.0 usage rate on the season. Crabbe is coming off a 15-point game on Wednesday, but he just isn't adding anything of note in the non-scoring categories on top of the low usage rate. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm
  • P.J. Tucker quietly hot for Suns
P.J. Tucker had nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 4-of-11 shooting against Kevin Durant and the Warriors on Sunday.

Advice: He came into this one hot and at least stayed relevant with the line and is averaging 12.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 3-pointers on 49 percent shooting over his last five games. It's possible you're holding a player doing less than that, so at least give Tucker a look as long as he's starting for the Suns. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
  • Evan Turner turns in nice game off bench
Evan Turner scored nine points with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block in 28 minutes.

Advice: This may have been his best game in reality and he's actually shown some nice consistency. In his last five, Turner averaged 12.2 points, 4.2 boards, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys. He's worth a look, but he'll likely take a hit once Al-Farouq Aminu (calf) comes back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:28 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside scores 28 in 41 minutes
Hassan Whiteside played 41 minutes during a 99-92 loss to the Blazers on Saturday, scoring 28 points with 16 rebounds, one assist and five blocks.

Advice: That is a ton of playing time for Whiteside. He made 12-of-16 from the field and now has double-digit rebounding games in all but one game this season. Whiteside padded his lead in rebounds with 14.9 and he's also leapfrogged Rudy Gobert for the No. 2 spot in blocks per game. He's going to post some massive stat lines for the short-handed Heat and is sitting on second-round value this season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm
  • Wes Matthews scores 26 in blowout win
Wesley Matthews hit 9-of-17 shots and seven 3-pointers on his way to tie a season high with 26 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes against the Bulls.

Advice: The Mavs surprisingly dominated this game and the strong play of Matthews was a big reason as to why it happened. He's been killing it from downtown lately, hitting at least five 3-pointers in three of his last four games. He's averaging 22 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 4.8 3-pointers over his last four. After a hot start in an October and a mostly forgettable November, Matthews is crushing right now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:14 pm
  • Deron Williams hands out 15 assists in win
Deron Williams hit just 3-of-11 shots, but had nine points, two rebounds, a season-high 15 assists and a steal in 31 minutes of Saturday's surprising 107-82 win over the Bulls.

Advice: After missing eight of nine games with a calf injury, Williams has played in five straight. And while we don't love his game or trust him, he's deserving of some attention right now. He's averaging 9.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists over his last five games, but is shooting just 34 percent and has just one steal, zero blocks and two 3-pointers over that stretch. If you are desperate for assists, Williams is worth a look. But you'll just have to hope he's not hurt again before you actually get him into your lineup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:07 pm
  • Andrew Bogut plays well vs. Bulls
Andrew Bogut returned from a day of rest and had a season-high eight points, 11 rebounds, two steals and zero blocks in 22 minutes before fouling out on Saturday.

Advice: He's averaging just 4.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks over his last four games played, and while the rebounds are fun, the non-existent scoring and blocks are not. Add in that he's always a candidate to miss games and he's barely worth owning in most fantasy leagues, especially when an eight-point night in December is your season high in scoring. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:03 pm
  • Rodney McGruder scores seven in 39 minutes
Rodney McGruder scored seven points with four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: The Heat need wings in the worst way, so McGruder may have the best opportunity for playing time in the NBA. Even with 34.4 minutes per game over his last five, McGruder averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. He's worth a look as a desperation play with four games coming up. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:00 pm
  • JaMychal Green drops 16 points with 13 boards
JaMychal Green had a big game during a 103-100 win over the Lakers on Saturday, scoring 16 points with 13 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 34 minutes.

Advice: It's a season high in boards and just his second double-double on the year. As a member of the Nasty Nine, Green has been quietly consistent over his last nine, averaging 12.1 points, 7.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.6 treys on 59.1 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the line. He has top-45 value in standard leagues in that span, so his patient owners have to be feeling great right now. Make sure he's somehow not on your wire. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:53 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic disappears in rare start
Nikola Mirotic started over Dwyane Wade (rest) on Saturday, but missed all four of his shots and played just 13 minutes, finishing without a point and five rebounds as the Bulls were crushed by the lowly Mavericks 107-82.

Advice: There is nothing good about this situation. Mirotic had 15 points and 15 boards against the Lakers in his last start, so there was some hope he might post a decent line tonight. It wasn't meant to be and if Mirotic couldn't do anything with this opportunity, other than somehow managing a +/- of -24 in just 13 minutes, the outlook for him coming off the bench is pretty bleak. He belongs on waivers in most leagues until he starts showing that he can play well consistently. Or at all. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:42 pm
  • Gordon Hayward stays hot in win over Nuggets
Gordon Hayward hit 9-of-18 shots, three 3-pointers and 11-of-11 free throws to match his season high of 32 points with four rebounds and two steals in Saturday's win over the Nuggets.

Advice: Hayward has scored 32, 32 and 31 points in his last three games and is averaging 28.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on 51 percent shooting over his last five. His finger injury appears to finally be fully behind him and he's rolling. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:29 pm
  • Money Green: Troy Daniels scores 31 points
Troy Daniels played the best game of his NBA career during a 103-100 win over the Lakers on Saturday, scoring a career-high 31 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and six 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Hey now. On Thursday, coach David Fizdale said he's going to "use the heck out of him to get shots" and he wasn't lying. Daniels had a 30.1 usage rate with no turnovers and a 63.7 true shooting percentage. Fizdale also said Daniels wants him to have the "money green light" when he's hot, so it was definitely that color tonight. The Grizzlies are rolling with their Nasty Nine, so feel free to grab Daniels and use him until Chandler Parsons (knee) and James Ennis (calf) can return. His green light should be money green with four games next week. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:28 pm
  • Jameer Nelson bounces back in loss to Jazz
Jameer Nelson played 26 minutes and hit 5-of-8 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, four rebounds, seven assists and a block on Saturday.

Advice: Nelson was rolling before Friday's five-point game in 19 minutes, but bounced back on Saturday. He's averaging 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 2.8 3-pointers on 50 percent shooting over his last five games, but with Will Barton back and balling at a high level, and Emmanuel Mudiay playing 30 minutes a night, it will be tough for Nelson to keep up this pace. Mudiay played just 22 minutes tonight, which is why Nelson was back in the picture. But Mudiay is healthy, so it would likely take an injury to him or Barton to keep Nelson relevant. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Luol Deng posts a big game vs. Memphis
Luol Deng scored a season-high 18 points with five rebounds, one block, four steals and two 3-pointers 38 minutes.

Advice: He saw a nice bump in minutes because Larry Nance (knee) was out and Jose Calderon (hamstring) missed most of this game, which pulled Ingram to be more of a perimeter guy. Deng has only played 23.9 minutes per game on the season before tonight, so he may only have a short-term boost. He could play over 30 minutes with the Lakers missing so many guys. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Will Barton scores 20 in 34 minutes
Will Barton played through is sore ankle again on Saturday and hit 8-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 34 minutes.

Advice: He had 17 points, seven boards and five assists on Friday and the fact he made it though back-to-back games should mean the ankle injury is behind him. And with Gary Harris (foot) still out and Jamal Murray as cold as ice, Barton should keep rolling until further notice. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic still awful without Jokic
Jusuf Nurkic started again on Saturday, but hit 4-of-6 shots for eight points, four rebounds and zero blocks in just 13 minutes of a 105-98 loss to the Jazz.

Advice: It's hard to believe how bad Nurkic has been this season, but the fact he's averaging just 17.6 minutes over his last five games has a lot to do with why he's averaging just 7.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks over that stretch. If the Nuggets aren't going to cut him loose and let him play, fantasy owners are going to be forced to cut him loose. And Nurkic didn't benefit one iota with Nikola Jokic out with a wrist injury again, and Jokic is expected to miss at least a couple more games. Sadly, it may be time to finally move on, since the Nuggets show no intentions of giving him the 25 minutes he needs to succeed, although there is still a sliver of hope that he finally gets it going as long as Jokic is missing games. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm
  • P.J. Tucker will start opposite Kevin Durant
P.J. Tucker will start at small forward against the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: He'll start opposite Kevin Durant. Good luck, Mr. Tucker. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:30 pm
  • Jose Calderon (hamstring) will not return
Jose Calderon (right hamstring) will not return to Saturday's game.

Advice: He was feeling a lot of discomfort, was checked out near the bench for a couple minutes and the training staff took him to the locker room. Calderon has dealt with hamstring strains throughout his career, so he's almost certainly going to miss time. With D'Angelo Russell (knee) also out, there will be plenty of minutes going to Marcelo Huertas now while Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams may pick up a little more work. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:42 pm
  • Deron Williams will start against the Bulls
Deron Williams (calf) will start against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: He had his minutes increase in his last game, so Williams could get over 30 again tonight. He's a hold while he's healthy, but he's one of the most injury-prone players in the NBA. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:32 pm
  • Will Barton will play on Saturday
Will Barton (ankle) will play on Saturday against the Jazz.

Advice: The Nuggets put him on the report as probable, but he was never in doubt. Barton should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:54 pm
  • Gary Harris hopeful for return on trip
The Nuggets are hopeful Gary Harris (foot) can return at the back end of their six-game road trip.

Advice: That doesn't necessarily mean Harris will be back on this trip. The Nuggets are on the road from Dec. 3-12, so it's a big range of target dates. For now, he's still likely to be back closer to Christmas than early December. Will Barton will get plenty of minutes at the two until Harris is back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:52 pm
    Injured

  • Nikola Jokic is out at least 3 more games
Nikola Jokic (wrist) is expected to be out at least the next three games.

Advice: Ouch. Just as Jokic turned the corner, he's now going to miss at least four games with his sore wrist. The new timetable means the soonest he can return would be Thursday against the Wizards. With Jokic out, the Nuggets will really need Jusuf Nurkic to play better while Darrell Arthur, Kenneth Faried and Juan Hernangomez could get more playing time. Jokic's owners have to hold him. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    Injured

  • Nikola Mirotic starting for Dwyane Wade
Nikola Mirotic is starting for Dwyane Wade (rest) against the Mavs on Saturday.

Advice: He erupted in his last start with 15 points and 15 boards against the Lakers. The matchup isn't quite as good and Mirotic is wildly inconsistent, but he's certainly capable of putting up another nice line. He's a prime DFS option tonight and is a low-end hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm
  • Will Barton (ankle) probable for Saturday
Will Barton, Danilo Gallinari, and Darrell Arthur are listed as probable for Saturday's game vs. Utah.

Advice: Barton had missed 12 of the Nuggets previous 15 games, but looked great in his return to the Denver lineup on Friday night. He finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes. Better yet, he seems to have avoided aggravating his ankle injury. Barton should be locked and loaded in fantasy lineups going forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:58 am
  • Nikola Jokic (wrist) ruled out for Saturday
Nikola Jokic (left wrist sprain) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: Jokic initially suffered what was believed to be a minor wrist injury on Wedneday. However, it has now cost him two straight games, which stings because Jokic was finally starting to snap out of his season-long slump. Starters Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic should see more time on Saturday. Darrell Arthur could also see a few extra minutes off the bench, as the Nuggets are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:46 am
    Injured

  • Deron Williams (calf) probable for Saturday
Deron Williams (left calf strain) is probable to play vs. Chicago on Saturday.

Advice: Williams appears to have finally put his nagging calf issue in the rear-view mirror. D-Will has seen his playing time and production increase in each of the Mavs four previous games, from 15 minutes and four points last Friday to 14 points in 29 minutes on Thursday. When healthy, Willims is a fantasy asset, especially for teams in need of point guard depth. Over the first five games of this season, Williams averaged 15.0 points, 5.8 assists and 2.4 3-pointers in 35 minutes per game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:40 am
  • Jusuf Nurkic doesn't capitalize on Friday
Jusuf Nurkic played 20 minutes against the Rockets on Friday with 10 point, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Advice: Nikola Jokic (wrist) did not play in this game, so Nurkic only getting 20 minutes is a pretty bad sign. He has been a disaster in pick-and-roll coverage and he didn't do a good job in really any facet on defense. Nurkic also missed both free throws, so he's killing his owners there, too. His fantasy value depends a lot on who owns him, but he's lost a lot of his preseason luster for sure. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:17 pm
  • John Wall scores 15 with 17 assists
John Wall scored 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting with 15 assists in Friday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: This was his second game in a row with 15 dimes and he added two rebounds, three steals and one triple in 37 minutes. Wall did miss practice on Thursday, but the Wizards are just managing his reps to keep him fresh for the games. The Wizards are only 6-12, so they will need to turn things around in order for Wall's fantasy value to be safe when it matters the most. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:12 pm
  • Jameer Nelson loses minutes with Will back
Jameer Nelson scored five points with one rebound, two assists and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: The return of Will Barton should really hurt Nelson's minutes. Barton looked 100 percent and ready to take on most of the shooting guard minutes, which is noteworthy for Nelson because he was playing big minutes in two-PG combos. Nelson will have value at some point because he has multiple avenues for minutes and Emmanuel Mudiay is shaky, but Jameer is a drop candidate now. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:44 pm
  • Will Barton scores 17 points in 33 minutes
Will Barton hit the ground running in his return to the starting lineup on Friday, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

Advice: Well, he looks like himself again. Barton had been battling his ankle sprain since Halloween and only played in three games since then -- he also was awful in those three with a 21.4 field goal percentage. Simply put, Barton has to be picked up everywhere after this one. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:39 pm
  • Trevor Ariza leaves game with back spasms
Updating a previous report, Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with back spasms.

Advice: He didn't return, but there was only a few minutes left. Ariza played 43 minutes the night before and logged 31 minutes tonight, but luckily he gets two days off before Monday's game vs. Boston. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and four treys. If we get some bad news on Ariza, Sam Dekker would get some extra burn. To be clear, Ariza should be fine. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:12 pm

  • Nikola Mirotic set for a big Saturday
Nikola Mirotic scored two points with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 22 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: He'll likely be getting a start against the Mavs on Saturday night with Dwyane Wade (rest) getting the night off. The last time Wade sat, Mirotic exploded with 15 points and 15 boards in 37 minutes. He's going to be a popular DFS target. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:07 pm
  • Trevor Ariza (leg) goes to locker room
Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with an apparent leg injury and went back to the locker room.

Advice: He was down on the ground for a while, but he was able to get up and was seen gingerly walking to the locker room without a noticeable limp. He left the game with only a few minutes left, so his night is likely done. If Ariza needs to miss time, Sam Dekker looks like he will be the primary beneficiary. Stay tuned. • Mudiay, Barton, Gallo, Faried & Nurk starting
Emmanuel Mudiay, Will Barton, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic will start against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: We'll see how many minutes Barton gets in his return. He's worth a pickup in standard leagues while he will take minutes away from all the other forwards and wings. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:53 pm
  • Will Barton is active as expected
Will Barton (ankle) will play against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: The earlier report from Chris Haynes of ESPN was as good as gold, so this is not a surprise. Barton may be limited in his first game back, but he's worth a pickup in most leagues. He will take minutes away from Jamal Murray, Jameer Nelson and Wilson Chandler. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:30 pm
  • Nikola Jokic (left wrist) out vs. Rockets
Nikola Jokic (left wrist) will not play against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: This is a surprise after Jokic played through what looked like a minor wrist injury sustained from Wednesday night. Jokic did say he couldn't move his wrist the following day, so it apparently was worse than it looked. Jokic was really coming on after a rough start with two straight double-doubles. For tonight, it'll be more of Jusuf Nurkic, Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur. Plus, there should be more small-ball lineups against the Rockets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 5:19 pm

  • Suns looking to get more dimes?
The Suns are looking to add more passing into their offense.

Advice: "It’s been stagnant at times," Eric Bledsoe said of the team’s passing. "But at the end of the day, everybody is happy with how the offense is going. The heart of our team is me, Brandon and Devin. We’re going to have the ball the majority of times." The Suns are 29th in dimes per game and lead the NBA in unassisted baskets per game. There shouldn't be much change overall, but more dimes could add more fantasy value to the Phoenix guards. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:33 pm
  • Nikola Jokic likely to be a game-time call
Nikola Jokic (left wrist) is shaping up to be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: On Wednesday night, Jokic was pushed to the ground and braced himself with his left wrist, so that's likely when he suffered the injury. Jokic did stay in the game and it doesn't sound serious. He's playing some outstanding ball and does appear to have a good chance to play. If he's out, more run will go to Jusuf Nurkic, Kenneth Faried and a number of other forwards. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:23 am

  • Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night
ESPN is reporting that Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Barton started off the year strong, averaging 18 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes over Denver's first three games of the season. However, he has missed 12 of the Nuggets last 15 games due to this nagging ankle injury. It is unknown if Barton will be on a minute restriction Friday. If you have room on your roster and he is still floating around your league's waiver wire, now is the time to nab him. Barton finished last season ranked among the top-85 overall fantasy players, according to BasketballReference.com. Barton's return will likely eat into the minutes of Wilson Chandler and Jamal Murray. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:03 am
  • Trevor Ariza struggles from deep
Trevor Ariza made 5-of-13 from the field for 12 points with four rebounds, and one steal in Thursday’s double-overtime win against the Warriors.

Advice: Ariza missed all seven of his shots from beyond the arc, but continues to get plenty of looks. He has now attempted seven or more 3-pointers in four of his last six games. While he does have plenty of bumps in the road due to his cold spells, Ariza's output in steals has still made him an early-round asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:18 pm

  • Troy Daniels scores 19 points vs. Magic
Troy Daniels matched a season-high 19 points in 29 minutes against the Magic on Thursday, adding two rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

Advice: On the heels of a 19-point Wednesday, this is the best two-game run of his career and the first time he's had consecutive games with at least 16 points. Daniels had his best game on defense, closed this one out, and clearly impressed his coach. "Whenever he’s out there, I’m going to use the heck out of him to get shots," coach Fizdale said. Fizdale also asked Daniels what color green light he should have when he gets to let it fly and Daniels said "money green." He may have some short-term value and is worth a look in deep leagues for owners needing treys. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:51 pm
  • Gordon Hayward has huge night
Gordon Hayward scored 32 points with seven assists, three rebounds, and two steals in Thursday’s loss to the Heat.

Advice: Hayward hit a season-high in points and has now scored over 30 points in two consecutive games, while scoring more than 20 points in six straight games. He is shooting the ball well recently and maintains a healthy usage rate of 28.3 percent. He is also contributing in assists, rebounds, and 3-pointers. His next game is against the Nuggets who play at the fifth highest pace in the league. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:14 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside almost double-doubles
Hassan Whiteside hit 4-of-11 shots for nine points, 10 rebounds, and one steal in Thursday night’s win against the Jazz.

Advice: Whiteside was one point shy of 16th double-double of the season and his fourth consecutive one. He is averaging 17.7 points, 15.1 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game and remains one of the league's best centers. It was a rough night for Whiteside against a tough defense and his 47-game streak with a blocked came to an end. His next game comes against Portland who is allowing 45.8 rebounds per game with a -3.3 differential Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:31 pm
  • Deron Williams gets 30 minutes vs. CHA
Deron Williams scored 14 points with three rebounds, eight assists and one 3-pointer against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: This is a very encouraging sign to see Williams get this much playing time on the second half of a back-to-back set -- he played 26 minutes on Wednesday. Williams is basically an injury waiting to happen, but he's worth a pickup if you have something to cut and need a point guard. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:13 pm
  • Wes Matthews cools off against Hornets
Wesley Matthews made 4-of-15 from the field for 14 points with three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: He was coming in on fire with 11 treys in his last two games combined. Matthews did have to go to the locker room for about two minutes in real time, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. Despite ugly 35.3 percent from the field on the year, Matthews is worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:01 pm
  • Heat using same starters on Thursday
The Heat will start Goran Dragic, Rodney McGruder, Luke Babbitt, Josh McRoberts and Hassan Whiteside against the Jazz on Thursday.

Advice: There is a shortage of guards in Utah tonight, so McGruder should be busy. Expect to see plenty of Wayne Ellington off the bench. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:19 pm
  • Deron Williams will start against the Hornets
Deron Williams (calf) will start against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: He played 26 minutes on Wednesday night, so the back-to-back factor is likely in play on his minutes tonight. Coach Rick Carlisle has rested Williams in the second half of a game before, so that's an option. Williams is a risky asset in standard leagues and is a tough target in DFS. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:52 pm
  • Nikola Jokic pops up on the injury report
Nikola Jokic (left wrist) is questionable to face the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: This is surprising for Jokic, who didn't appear to be hurt during Wednesday's game against the Heat. Jokic is expected to see a few extra minutes and coach Mike Malone wants to run more offense through him. Hopefully, Jokic goes through shootaround and we can get more information on his wrist issue on Friday morning. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:18 pm

  • Jokic to get extended minutes?
Coach Mike Malone said he's made an effort to give Nikola Jokic extended minutes.

Advice: "Even though [Jusuf Nurkic] has been starting, Jokic been getting the lion share of minutes at center and I think I’ve been making a more concerted effort when he is out there to play through him," Malone said. Jokic has been terrific in his last two games, averaging 15.0 points, 12.5 boards, 3.0 assists and 0.5 blocks in his 27.5 minutes per game. After a horrible start, he's trending up big time. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:52 pm

  • Will Barton (ankle) likely to play on Friday
Will Barton (ankle) is likely to play against the Rockets on Friday night.

Advice: He's been limited by his ankle injury dating back to Halloween, playing in just three games at 21.0 minutes per outing in that span. Barton has said he wants to be 100 percent before he gives it a go, so maybe that's the case. Since he's been out for the last three, Jameer Nelson and Jamal Murray have both improved. Plus, Wilson Chandler has played more minutes at the three. Barton's playing time is uncertain, so he's not as strong of a pickup this time around. He can get hot, so he's worth a long look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:30 pm
  • John Wall gets the day off on Thursday
John Wall was given the day off for practice on Thursday.

Advice: He's fine after playing 44 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday. The Wizards wanted to keep Wall's minutes down, but that hasn't happened with his 40.2 per game over his last five. He also led the team in usage rate over that span with a 43.1 assist percentage. He'll get plenty of minutes against the Spurs on Friday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:15 pm
  • Andrew Bogut will sit on Thursday vs Hornets
Andrew Bogut (rest) will not play against the Hornets on Thursday.

Advice: Bogut will get a rest day on the second half of the Mavs back-to-back, and Salah Mejri will likely draw the start in his stead. Mejri is worth a look in daily fantasy leagues, while Bogut is worth holding onto as a blocks and boards specialist. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:10 am
  • Deron Williams probable for Thurs vs Hornets
Deron Williams (left calf strain) is probable for Thursday's game against Charlotte.

Advice: Williams was able to play 26 minutes on Wednesday and is likely to see similar minutes on Thursday. He doesn't have a ton of upside, but D-Will is worth a look as a bottom-of-roster player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:06 am
  • Jared Dudley (foot) posts 17 points Wednesday
Jared Dudley (foot) returned vs. the Hawks on Wednesday, scoring 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting with three 3-pointers, two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Advice: Dudley missed Sunday's game but it looks like a minor ailment that won't limit him going forward. Phoenix relies on two-point field goals for 60.0 percent of their scoring (sixth-highest in the league), but three-point shots account for just 20.7 percent of their scoring (third-lowest in the league). Dudley's shooting should be critical, in other words, but he's a borderline option in most leagues while Devin Booker and P.J. Tucker are healthy. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:53 pm
  • P.J. Tucker efficient in win vs. visiting ATL
P.J. Tucker led the Suns' starters on Wednesday with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, hitting two 3-pointers with three rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Advice: Tucker has been on fire for his past two games, with a combined 12-of-19 mark from the field, including 2.5 threes, 5.5 rebounds. 1.5 assists and 0.5 steals. T.J. Warren (head) is out indefinitely, which opens up more opportunities for Tucker, but he's not a strong rest-of-season addition. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:50 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic struggles in Wednesday's defeat
Jusuf Nurkic had another forgettable game on Wednesday, scoring four points on 2-of-3 shooting with six rebounds, one assist, five turnovers and three fouls in 17 minutes.

Advice: Nurkic has been much improved scoring around the rim this season, but he's still haunted by familiar fantasy failings. He's shooting 30.1 percent while 3-10 feet from the hoop, and he's averaging more turnovers (2.2) than assists (1.6). His fouls per minute have dropped this season, but he's still been a net-negative contributor in 8-cat and 9-cat leagues. He has enough upside to hold in most leagues, but it makes sense to start floating some trade offers. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:06 pm
  • Nikola Jokic posts 17 & 14 w/ three assists
Nikola Jokic had another productive evening on Wednesday with 17 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and one steal, making 7-of-11 FG and 3-of-4 FTs in 24 minutes.

Advice: "We took a big step back tonight, and that's disappointing," coach Mike Malone said after the game. That quote isn't likely to apply to Jokic, who was one of three players to finish with a positive +/- rating, and he's quietly on the upswing for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:59 pm
    Injured

  • Wesley Matthews has five 3s, scores 26 points
Wesley Matthews stayed hot on Wednesday, making 8-of-19 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs, with five 3-pointers, to finish with a team-high 26 points, two rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block.

Advice: Matthews said recently that he's "never going to be worried" about his shot, and that he was always confident despite a brutal start from the field this season. In the seven games prior to tonight, he was averaging 15.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 steals and a whopping 3.6 triples per game, good enough for top-100 value in 8-cat leagues. He's on the upswing and is a fine pickup in most formats. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:27 pm
  • Deron Williams (calf) plays 26 minutes Wed
Deron Williams (calf) finished Wednesday's game with nine points, eight rebounds and five assists in 26 minutes.

Advice: Williams' playing time is slowly creeping up, which is one bit of good news in the midst of a depressing season for the Mavs. With a 3-14 record they are dead last in the league, trailing even the 76ers (4-14), Nets (5-12), and Timberwolves (5-13). Williams has late-middle-round upside, but his injury-based risk makes him a borderline option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:25 pm
  • John Wall gets 44 minutes vs. Thunder
John Wall played 44 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday with 15 points, six boards, 15 assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: The Wizards probably should've had this game with a seven-point lead with four minutes left. After the loss, Wall said this was the toughest loss of the season, which may hurt even more for coach Scott Brooks against his former team. Wall getting 44 minutes tonight clearly indicates the Wizards have no intention of limiting him right now. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:23 pm
  • Troy Daniels scores 19 points in loss to TOR
Troy Daniels came off the Grizzlies' bench to score 19 points in a loss on Wednesday, making 6-of-12 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs with four 3-pointers, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: Vince Carter was out tonight with a hip injury, joining a pile of injured Grizzlies that includes Mike Conley, Chandler Parsons, James Ennis and Brandan Wright. The result was 21 minutes for Daniels, who made the most of the opportunity. Most fantasy owners can take a wait-and-see approach here, especially while Carter is day-to-day. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:15 pm
  • JaMychal Green scores 16 pts with five steals
JaMychal Green had 16 points, five rebounds, a career-high five steals, one block and one assist vs. Toronto on Wednesday.

Advice: Green played 34 minutes with just one turnover, finishing 5-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. He's been a low-end fantasy option in most 12-team leagues this season, but has stepped up his game during the absence of Zach Randolph (personal). Z-Bo is day-to-day, but if you need a productive PF don't hesitate to add JaMychal to your squad. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:13 pm
  • Deron Williams in the starting lineup
Deron Williams (ankle) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: He'll likely be limited, but coach Rick Carlisle said he wants to see him add a little more run. Williams is a risky fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:32 pm
  • Will Barton (ankle) out for Wednesday night
Will Barton (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday against the Heat.

Advice: The Nuggets may have brought Barton back too soon last week, so they'll be extra careful. Barton's role could also diminish upon his return because of Jamal Murray playing very well. Barton isn't quite as appealing as a stash these days. Jameer Nelson should also benefit with Barton out tonight.Daily Slant: Even with Danilo Gallinari back in the fold, Wilson Chandler should still see ample run with the Nuggets thin on the wing. Chandler has seen huge run in games that have remained competitive and has poured in at least 25 real-life points in his last two games, and he appears to be the Nuggets most reliable contributor offensively. Mike Malone's rotations can always be volatile, so the Nuggets are best utilized in GPPs. The Heat are ranked sixth or better in defensive efficiency and points allowed per game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:29 pm
  • Jared Dudley (foot) available to play vs. ATL
Jared Dudley (foot) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Dudley missed Sunday's game due to soreness on the ball of his left foot, but he was back at practice on Tuesday and should step right back into his 25-minute reserve role tonight. With Dudley active, P.J. Tucker's minutes will likely fall closer to the 30-minute mark. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:50 am
  • Wall limited at shootaround, says he'll play
John Wall (left knee) was a limited participant during shootaround, but said that he's planning on playing Wednesday vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Wall spent most of shootaround getting treatment on his surgically repaired left knee, but it doesn't sound like he's planning on missing Wednesday's game against his head coach's former team. We'll have official confirmation closer to tip-off, but owners in season-long settings can probably go ahead and just get him active. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:18 am
  • Will Barton (ankle) doubtful for Wednesday
Will Barton (left ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Heat.

Advice: Barton was able to go through Tuesday's practice, so while he'll likely be spending third straight game on the sidelines Wednesday night, it does appear that he's getting close. With Barton out, Jameer Nelson will have another opportunity to start with Jamal Murray being asked to do more with the second unit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:12 am
  • Gordon Hayward scores season-high 31
Gordon Hayward hit 8-of-16 shots, three 3-pointers and 112-of-13 free throws for a season-high 31 points, five rebounds and seven assists in Tuesday's win over the Rockets.

Advice: Hayward got off to a slow start tonight, but came on late to post one of his best lines of the season. He's rolling, averaging 25.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over his last five games. He's also been very consistent, scoring between 22 and 31 points in each of his last five. His finger injury is obviously no longer a concern. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:14 pm
  • Jose Calderon struggles vs. Pelicans
Jose Calderon hit 1-of-5 shots for two points and six assists in 16 minutes against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Advice: Calderon has now played fewer than 17 minutes in back-to-back games and has not been a huge factor in either of the games. It appears that the Lakers will roll with Jordan Clarkson at the one, who played 29 minutes on Tuesday night and 32 minutes in the previous game. Calderon holds little fantasy value at this time and should only be owned in the deepest of leagues. He will completely disappear once D'Angelo Russell is back from his knee injury. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:20 pm
  • Gary Harris (foot) limited at practice Tues
Gary Harris (foot) went through the non-contact portions of Tuesday's practice.

Advice: Harris is currently in Week-2 of his initial four-week timetable, so while he's still a ways away, this is small step in the right direction. Will Barton, Jamal Murray and Jameer Nelson will continue to benefit in Harris' absence, and while it's been an extremely rough start to the year for Harris, he still offers enough upside to warrant a stash in standard leagues with an IR-spot. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:09 pm

  • Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) 'feeling good'
Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) feels his rehab has gone "tremendously well," and he's "feeling good."

Advice: "I’ve seen him for a couple of weeks. He looks fine playing," Stan Van Gundy said after Monday’s practice. "Stamina is going to be an issue. I don’t think he could play 33 minutes a game right now. But whenever they tell me he’s ready to go and he tells me he’s ready to go in his mind, then he’ll go." Jackson was a full participant during Monday's practice, but acknowledged that he'd like to get in another full practice before returning to the court. Ish Smith's fantasy clock is ticking. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:03 pm
  • Deron Williams (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Deron Williams (ankle) is probable to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: "I’d like to get him up some and see," said Rick Carlisle in reference to expanding Williams' workload. "Things are trending in a good direction." Williams logged 20 minutes in his return to action on Sunday, and it seems that he could see a slight increase in his playing allotment on Wednesday night. As Williams' minutes go up, Seth Curry's minutes will likely trend in the opposite direction. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:44 am
  • Gordon Hayward scores 24 points Monday
Gordon Hayward scored 24 points on 6-of-14 shooting against the Wolves on Monday.

Advice: He added five rebounds, two assists, two steals and zero turnovers in 34 minutes. Hayward also got to the free throw line 15 times, connecting on 12 of them. He's scored 22 or more points in each of his last four games and has made a total of 30 free throws in that span. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:11 pm
  • John Wall posts ugly triple-double in win
John Wall had 19 points, 11 assists and 11 turnovers for the kind of triple-double NBA players don't love posting on Monday night.

Advice: He hit 6-of-16 shots, a 3-pointer and 6-of-6 free throws, and added eight rebounds, three steals and a block, so his line was still nice despite the 11 turns. Maybe he was just getting jealous of Russell Westbrook's 5.4 TOs per game, and Wall came in at 4.2 per game. He's having a nice season and his knee seems to be holding up well, so things are still looking up for Wall. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:53 pm
  • JaMychal Green struggles in loss to CHA
JaMychal Green struggled against the Hornets on Monday, scoring four points on 1-of-4 shooting with five rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes.

Advice: He also had five fouls on the night. Green was coming into Monday's game with averages of 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.0 3-pointer and 0.5 blocks in his previous four games, so his owners should stick with him. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:12 pm
  • Rodney McGruder scores 11 in start
Rodney McGruder started on Monday and hit 4-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, five rebounds, a steal and six turnovers in a season-high 38 minutes of a loss to the Celtics.

Advice: McGruder has scored in double figures in four straight games and played at least 31 minutes in all four of them. He could take a hit once Justise Winslow is finally back from his wrist injury, so he's not a must-add player right now. But if you're in a deep league and need a warm body, he may suffice. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:46 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside posts monster line Monday
Hassan Whiteside, who was iffy coming into Monday night with a knee injury, hit 10-of-13 shots for 25 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks.

Advice: He hit just 5-of-10 free throws, but coming through with the monster line after it looked like he might not even play was huge. He's been the best fantasy center in the game this season and has already racked up 14 double-doubles in his 17 games. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:38 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside (knee) is starting Monday
Hassan Whiteside (knee) is starting against the Celtics on Monday.

Advice: He made it through warmups unscathed and the good news is that the MRI results came back negative. We'll let you know how he looks after the game, but he belongs in all season-long lineups. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:50 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside (knee) is a game-time call
Hassan Whiteside (knee) is a game-time call vs. the Celtics on Monday.

Advice: Whiteside's MRI came back clean and it's a good sign that he's warming up. We should have another update within the hour, but expect Willie Reed to step up if Whiteside can't go. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:53 pm
  • Matthews was never worried about his shot
Wesley Matthews said he was "never worried" about getting his shot to drop.

Advice: "I was never worried about it. That was you guys," Matthews said of his slow start. "I think I said that during the time. I wasn’t worried about my shot. I’m never going to be worried about it. I know the time I put into it, I know the confidence that I have, and I know the confidence that the team has in me." Matthews has been much improved over the past seven games, putting up late-round value with averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 triples and 2.1 dimes per contest on 43.2 percent shooting. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:29 pm
  • Reggie Jackson goes through full practice
Reggie Jackson (thumb, knee) made it through a full practice on Monday.

Advice: The Pistons begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday against the Hornets, and while coach Stan Van Gundy is not expecting him to play on the trip, he won't rule him out either. He shouldn't be sitting on any waiver wires at this point, while Ish Smith's owners may have to start evaluating other options depending on how R-Jax looks upon his return. Rotoworld.com Nov 28, 10:44 am
  • Hassan Whiteside (knee) questionable Monday
Hassan Whiteside (left knee) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Boston.

Advice: Whiteside's left knee was an issue during the preseason, but this is the first mention of it since the regular season started. He's likely dealing with soreness, but the Heat may be cautious since they currently have a 5-11 record. He will have an MRI later this afternoon, so we'll know more shortly. Willie Reed (knee) is expected to be available Monday and could be in line for a sizable workload if Whiteside sits. Rotoworld.com Nov 28, 9:32 am
  • John Wall said his knees feel 'fine'
John Wall said his surgically-repaired knees feel fine despite his increased workload.

Advice: "I feel fine," Wall said "Just doing everything I'm supposed to do, treatment, cold tub, all that. I feel fine. Just would've been better if we got both wins." He played in both games of the back-to-back set and has played 37 or more minutes in four straight games, so the Wizards are playing with fire. Wall will try to keep up his momentum against the Kings on Monday. Rotoworld.com Nov 28, 6:40 am
  • Evan Turner scores 15 points on 6-of-12 FGs
Evan Turner pitched in 15 points, six rebounds and two assists during a high-scoring loss to Houston on Sunday.

Advice: Turner went 6-of-12 from the field with two 3-pointers in 23 minutes off the bench. He's starting to find his groove with the Blazers, scoring double-digit points in four of the past five games with strong FG percentages and at least two assists in each of those contests. His defensive stats leave a lot to be desired, and he's an inconsistent 3-point shooter, but deep-league owners should consider scooping him up while he's hot. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 9:18 pm
  • Allen Crabbe hits 2-of-3 triples off bench
Allen Crabbe was quiet in 29 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring six points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds and one steal.

Advice: Crabbe started the last time Portland faced the Rockets, beginning the game as James Harden's primary defender, but tonight that honor went to Moe Harkless. The upside is that he made 2-of-3 shots from deep after coming in with a career-worst 33.8 percent mark from downtown. He's getting plenty of easy looks, so eventually that number should trend up. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 9:17 pm
  • Trevor Ariza scores 18 points on seven FGA
Trevor Ariza made the most of limited opportunities on Sunday, scoring 18 points on seven shot attempts with three assists, two rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers.

Advice: The Rockets have won five of their past six games and Ariza is a subtle reason for their success. In addition to his defensive play, he's been lights-out on corner 3-point shooting this season -- he leads the NBA in that category and sank 4-of-5 triples tonight. Although he's less valuable in most points leagues, he's sitting as a top-30 roto value in 9-cat. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 9:11 pm

  • Wesley Matthews hits 6-of-8 threes, scores 21
Wesley Matthews drained 6-of-8 three-pointers to finish Sunday's victory with 21 points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 39 minutes of action.

Advice: Dallas improved their record to 3-13 but that's still the worst mark in the NBA, trailing teams like the Suns (5-13), Wolves (5-11), 76ers (4-13) and Nets (4-12). They'll take what they can get at this point, though, and that includes a strong game from Matthews. He got off to a terrible start shooting the ball, but in his past four games he's a combined 14-of-25 from downtown. Now is the time to pick him up if he's floating on your waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 7:36 pm
  • Deron Williams (ankle) logs 20 minutes Sunday
Deron Williams (ankle) played 20 minutes during Sunday's home victory, finishing with nine points, four assists, two rebounds and five turnovers.

Advice: "I think there's a chance [Williams] will play into the second half tonight, but I don't know that for sure," coach Rick Carlisle said before the game. D-Will did start the third quarter but he sat out the final 16 minutes and it looks like the Mavs were keeping him on a strict 20-minute limit. If you own him, it makes sense to at least bench him until his playing time increases. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 7:35 pm
  • P.J. Tucker scores season-high 21 points
P.J. Tucker moved into the starting lineup on Sunday and scored a season-high 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go with eight rebounds, three 3-pointers, one assist and one steal in 42 minutes.

Advice: This was Tucker's 10th career game with 20-plus points, so don't expect the scoring to become a regular thing for the five-year veteran. He can, however, provide sneaky low-end value in deep leagues with his ability to contribute a little bit of everything to the box score, and with T.J. Warren still a few weeks away, he makes sense as a speculative add in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:21 pm
  • Eric Bledsoe scores career-high 35 points
Eric Bledsoe went off for a career-high 35 points Sunday, adding four 3-pointers, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and three turnovers in 40 minutes.

Advice: This was Bledsoe's 10th career 30-point game, and the four 3-pointers also tied a career-high. He got off to a slow start this year, but he's been a top-50 play over the past six with averages of 22.7 points, 6.3 boards, 5.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.8 treys and 4.0 turnovers per game while his usage rate has spiked to 32.5. This hot streak does happen to coincide with T.J. Warren (head) hitting the sidelines, but it would be surprising to see a significant drop-off in production when T.J. gets back. • Nikola Jokic double-doubles in 31 minutes
Nikola Jokic double-doubled in 31 minutes off the bench on Sunday, producing 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one block and one turnover.

Advice: Jokic has excelled off the bench for the Nuggets, and since the demotion he's returned top-80 value in standard 9-cat leagues with averages of 9.6 points, 7.0 boards, 3.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and just 1.1 turnovers per game on 54.3 percent shooting from the field and 82.4 percent from the stripe. The 31 minutes were the most he's played since the second game of the season, so hopefully things continue to trend in this very positive direction. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:52 pm

  • Jusuf Nurkic plays just 16 minutes on Sunday
Jusuf Nurkic was only on the floor for 16 minutes during Sunday's 120-114 win over the Suns, ending his evening with just eight points, six boards, two assists and two turnovers.

Advice: Nurkic's value has been trending in the wrong direction ever since Nikola Jokic went to the bench, and at this point it's looking like a trade is going to be the only thing that can rectify his season. Since Jokic went to the bench seven games ago, Nurkic has been abysmal with averages of 8.9 points, 7.3 boards and just 0.7 swats per game while hitting just 35.3 percent of his freebies. Those numbers have him ranked well outside the top-250, but he still has way too much upside to outright cut. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:40 pm
  • Jameer Nelson scores 21 points w/ four treys
Jameer Nelson scored 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting Sunday, to go with four 3-pointers, two boards, three assists and two turnovers in 28 minutes.

Advice: Nelson looks like a starter until further notice with Will Barton (ankle) and Gary Harris (foot) ailing, and this was his second productive game in a row (he posted a 21-point, 13-dime double-double on Friday). Nelson could be worth a speculative add in deep leagues for owners seeking some production in triples and assists, but just know that the 34-year-old veteran can fall off at a moment's notice. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:33 pm
  • P.J. Tucker starting, Knight to the bench
P.J. Tucker will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Nuggets, sending Brandon Knight to the bench.

Advice: Tucker can rack up the steals when given the minutes, so he's on the radar as a potential streamer option with a favorable matchup against Denver tonight. Knight's value is going to take a bit of a hit with the move to the bench. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 11:51 am
  • Jared Dudley (left foot) will not play Sunday
Jared Dudley (left foot) will not play on Sunday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: The severity is not known, but the injury leaves the Suns shorthanded at forward with T.J. Warren (head) out for a while. P.J. Tucker and Dragan Bender should both see an uptick in minutes off the bench, but neither player is worth adding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 10:54 am
  • Evan Turner starting to feel comfortable
Evan Turner said he's starting to feel more comfortable in Portland.

Advice: "It’s always going to be a big adjustment getting the plays down," Turner said. "The pace of it [in the Western Conference] is crazy. The last couple of weeks I am fully getting our plays second nature to me, and once again now it’s just building the consistency." He's playing a little better since his brutal start to the season, averaging 11.8 points, 3.0 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.8 treys on 39.5 percent shooting, but he's only getting 26.2 minutes per game because Moe Harkless has been outstanding. Turner is just a deep-league asset while the Blazers are healthy. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 8:09 am
  • Nikola Mirotic would like to re-sign with CHI
Nikola Mirotic said that he would like to re-sign with the Bulls when his contract expires this summer.

Advice: "I love the Bulls," Mirotic said. "I love my teammates. I love the city. It's the perfect place for me. The first idea is to re-sign." Mirotic has been linked to a move to his former team Real Madrid, but he said the NBA is the best place for him to grow as a player. Mirotic has been wildly inconsistent for the Bulls with averages of 9.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.6 triples on 40.0 percent shooting, so it will be interesting to see how much the Bulls are willing to spend on the impending free agent. • Troy Daniels was a DNP-CD
Troy Daniels was a DNP-CD against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: He is likely going to remain out of the rotation unless the Grizzlies need threes in bunches. Daniels can be dropped almost everywhere. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 9:29 pm
  • J-Myke stringing games together, scores 12
JaMychal Green scored 12 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, three 3-pointers and no turnovers against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: After way too many tough matchups to start the season, J-Myke is finally on a roll. In his last five, he's averaging 13.4 points, 8.0 boards, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 treys on a phenomenal 77.5 true shooting percentage. He's flirting with top-50 value in that span and has his arrow pointing up. He's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 9:22 pm
  • Rodney McGruder gets 34 minutes
Rodney McGruder played 34 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: That is a lot of playing time for a guy who wasn't in the rotation earlier this season. McGruder's fantasy value is directly tied to Goran Dragic (elbow) missing time and it also helps that Justise Winslow (wrist) is out. Unless you're cutting someone with very little value, McGruder may not have value in 3-4 days. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 8:57 pm
  • John Wall plays 37 minutes vs. Spurs
John Wall played 37 minutes against the Spurs during a 112-100 loss on Saturday, scoring 21 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and four turnovers.

Advice: Before the game, coach Scott Brooks said he was not expecting big minutes for his studs, but he obviously doesn't trust his bench enough to limit Wall following 39 minutes on Friday. The Wizards only have one back-to-back with a set on Dec. 5-6 as their only one for almost the next four weeks, so Wall shouldn't have to worry about limits too much. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 6:47 pm
  • Troy Daniels available to play vs. Heat
Troy Daniels (groin) is available to play against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: We'll see what available to play means here, but Daniels isn't a lock to start. He had a bad game on Friday while Troy Williams had some productive minutes. We'll be looking for Memphis' starting lineup and post it ASAP. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 4:11 pm
  • Brooks says don't expect big minutes
Coach Scott Brooks said not to expect big minutes for his key players on Saturday.

Advice: This is pretty obvious after Wall played 39 minutes on Friday when he had his minutes monitored. He's obviously locked and loaded for season-long leagues, but DFS owners may only want to look for him to play minutes around 30-33. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 2:34 pm
  • Troy Daniels questionable for Saturday
Troy Daniels (left groin) is questionable to play against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: He started for the second time in a row on Friday, but it did not go well in his 19 minutes. If Daniels doesn't play, Troy Williams would be a good bet to start while Andrew Harrison could wind up getting 40 minutes tonight. Daniels has no fantasy value right now. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 11:04 am
  • Ariza scores 18, HOU takes NBA record 50 3PAs
Trevor Ariza scored 18 points with nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and six 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Kings on Friday.

Advice: The Rockets were bombing threes like never before, setting an NBA record with 50 attempts from beyond the arc -- they made 21. Ariza has typically been a horrible starter in the season, but he's off to a fantastic run this year with top-30 value in standard leagues. He has at least one trey and at least one steal in all but one game this season and clearly the return of Pat Beverley hasn't hurt him. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 11:58 pm

  • Eric Bledsoe scores 23 points with 10 dimes
Eric Bledsoe scored 23 points during a 98-85 loss to the Wolves on Friday, adding six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, seven turnovers and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Since he was semi-benched with only 13 minutes on Nov. 18, Bledsoe is surging again. In those four, he averaged 23.8 points, 7.3 boards, 6.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.8 blocks, 1.8 treys and 4.5 turnovers. Although, those turnovers are really high and coach Earl Watson was not happy with his team turning it over 26 times tonight. Still, Bledsoe is trending up after a brutal start. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 10:54 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside fouls out on Friday
Hassan Whiteside fouled out in 27 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday with four points, 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: It's the first time he fouled out this season. Whiteside's fouls have seen a slight uptick to 3.3 per game, but that's not too surprising with his 3.7 minute increase. While he has slowed down offensively with just 10 points combined in his last two, there's no need to worry. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 10:27 pm
  • Rodney McGruder plays 32 minutes
Rodney McGruder played 32 minutes in a start for Goran Dragic (elbow) against the Grizzlies on Friday with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He actually closed this game out with the Heat playing well in the fourth. Dragic shouldn't be out for long, so there's no need to add McGruder in most leagues unless you're streaming with hopes of the Heat taking it easy on The Dragon. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 10:23 pm
  • JaMychal Green scores 14 points
JaMychal Green scored 14 points with six rebounds and one assist during a 90-81 loss to the Heat on Friday.

Advice: He's starting to show some signs of life in his last four, averaging 13.8 points, 8.3 boards, 0.8 blocks and 0.3 treys on 67.9 percent from the field and 84.2 percent from the line. Green has sixth-round value in that span, so maybe he can string games together going forward. If he was dropped, give him a look. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 10:19 pm
  • Troy Daniels gets another start
Troy Daniels scored three points with three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes on Friday.

Advice: Troy Williams played pretty well in the second unit, so Daniels may be bumped from the starting lineup. Although, they both might start on Saturday for the aging Tony Allen. Daniels isn't worth owning. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 9:59 pm
  • Jameer Nelson picks up 21 points, 13 assists
Jameer Nelson started vs. the Thunder on Friday and had 21 points, a season-high 13 assists, four rebounds and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Denver was playing without Gary Harris (foot) or Will Barton (personal/ankle), which thrust Nelson back into the starting five. Barton is questionable to return for Sunday's game, and his availability will determine whether Nelson (who closed out the game at PG ahead of Emmanuel Mudiay) has more short-term fantasy appeal. Keep an eye on the injury report. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 9:11 pm
  • Nikola Jokic posts understated line Friday
Nikola Jokic chipped in seven points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer during the Nuggets' tough home loss on Friday.

Advice: Jokic has found his rhythm after moving to the bench, and over the past five games he's averaging a steady 8.8 points on 57.6 percent shooting, 7.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 blocks. It's not ideal, but he's doing enough to maintain a roster spot in all formats. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 9:06 pm
    Injured

  • Gordon Hayward scores 24 points in win
Gordon Hayward scored 24 points against the Hawks on Friday with seven rebounds, two steals, one block, one triple and two turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He was very efficient, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and hitting all seven of his free throws. Hayward was in a bit of a mini-slump last week, but he's since scored 22 or more points in his last three games and is averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.7 treys in that span. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 8:38 pm
  • Nikola Mirotic scores six off bench
Nikola Mirotic scored six points with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: After the monster 15-point, 15-board game in 37 minutes on Sunday, Mirotic is back to his normal playing time of 23.5 minutes per game over his last two. He's a little below average in that span with averages of 8.5 points, 3.0 boards, 1.5 assists, 0.5 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.0 treys. He's a hold in standard leagues, but he's going to be annoying somewhat often. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 8:16 pm
  • John Wall scores 26 with 10 dimes
John Wall scored 26 points during a 94-91 win over the Magic on Friday, adding seven rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in a game-high 39 minutes.

Advice: Yeah, so what minutes monitor was coach Scott Brooks using here? Wall was expected to have his minutes held in check tonight on the front end of a back-to-back, so you can bet he has some sort of minutes restriction against the Spurs on Saturday night. Wall is still expected to play, but expect him to be closer to 30 than 40. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 7:18 pm
  • Wes Matthews quiet in crushing road loss
The Mavericks added another loss to their league-worst record on Friday, with Wes Matthews contributing just six points on 2-of-8 shooting, three assists, two rebounds, one steal and four turnovers.

Advice: Dallas recently got back Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles), and Deron Williams (calf) was in the starting lineup tonight, but it didn't matter in a tough road game at Cleveland -- the Mavs trailed by 20 points after one quarter and they ultimately lost by 38 points. Matthews came in shooting just 34.5 percent on the season but he was accurate in his previous two games, so hopefully he'll get back on track vs. the Pelicans on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 7:14 pm
  • Jameer Nelson starting next to Mudiay
Jameer Nelson will start at shooting guard over Jamal Murray on Friday.

Advice: Coach Mike Malone will stick with his familiar backcourt rotation. Murray is playing lights out right now, so he's the preferred option in both season long and for DFS. Nelson is worth a look in deeper formats while Will Barton (ankle) is out. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 4:32 pm
  • Rodney McGruder starting on Friday
Rodney McGruder is starting on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Goran Dragic (elbow) is out, so McGruder will start next to Josh Richardson and Dion Waiters. With Justise Winslow (wrist) also out, McGruder is not a bad streaming option and is looking at a heavy workload. In his only other start of the season, he played 37 minutes with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 4:20 pm
  • Jose Calderon starts, plays 20 minutes
Jose Calderon started Wednesday's blowout loss to the Warriors, finishing with seven points, six assists, four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes.

Advice: D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out 2-3 weeks which leaves Calderon as the presumptive starter until he returns. The opportunity isn't likely to yield much fantasy value, however, as Calderon's usage is limited and he contributes just a handful of assists and 3-pointers. Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams are infinitely more appealing options both short- and long-term. Rotoworld.com Nov 23, 11:14 pm
  • Hassan Whiteside struggles in loss to Pistons
Hassan Whiteside followed up Monday's career game with just six points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes of action.

Advice: Whiteside scored 32 points in a losing effort vs. the Sixers but he flopped in tonight's matchup vs. Andre Drummond. He gets a pass tonight due to the tough opponent and the fact that he's been incredible through Miami's first 14 games, averaging 18.8 points, 15.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.7 blocks. That's good enough for top-20 roto value, and he's an easy first-round player if you toss out free throw shooting. Rotoworld.com Nov 23, 10:59 pm
  • Jusuf Nurkic has an awful game
Jusuf Nurkic made 1-of-8 from the field and missed all three shots from the line for two points with six rebounds and one block in 15 minutes against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He's had success against Rudy Gobert before, but not tonight. Nurkic had a big game on Tuesday and is still battling with his consistency this season. Nurkic's abysmal 50.0 percent from the line this season has torpedoed his fantasy value, but he's still a hold for his upside. Rotoworld.com Nov 23, 9:58 pm
  • Andrew Bogut (calf) plays well in 25 minutes
Andrew Bogut (calf) looked good in his return on Wednesday, posting four points with 12 rebounds (four offensive), six assists and two steals in 25 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs' big man got off to a quiet start this year, averaging just 3.8 points on 41.3 percent shooting with 9.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 blocks in 25.6 minutes. He picked apart the Clippers with his passing tonight, and helped Dallas earn a 44-43 edge in rebounding, but it wasn't nearly enough as Dallas fell at home 124-104. If you own Bogut as a blocks and boards specialist, feel free to run him out there. Rotoworld.com Nov 23, 9:52 pm
