  • James Harden struggles in loss to Warriors
James Harden scored 17 points with seven rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and seven turnovers against the Warriors during a 125-108 loss on Friday.

Advice: It was a game to forget. The Warriors ability to switch so well really kept Harden in check to limit his open looks. Plus, Harden said the Rockets really missed Ryan Anderson (illness) tonight to help space the floor. Harden gets another bad matchup on Saturday in Memphis, but he's as matchup proof as it gets. Rotoworld.com 26 minutes ago
  • Thaddeus Young racks up five more steals
Thaddeus Young racked up five more steals in Friday's loss to the Lakers, adding nine points (3-of-9 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer 33 minutes.

Advice: He's a thief and has racked up a ridiculous 20 steals over his last five games. He's averaging 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 0.6 triples in that span, so the steals are really boosting his value right now. He gets a tough matchup vs. the Jazz on Saturday, but continue to roll him out there. Rotoworld.com 26 minutes ago
  • Sam Dekker looks good off the bench
Sam Dekker scored 17 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Warriors on Friday.

Advice: With Ryan Anderson (illness) set to miss at least one game and probably more, Dekker could have some value in the next week. He's played better defense and coach Mike D'Antoni has used him at three different positions. He'll lose most of his short-term value once Ryno returns. Rotoworld.com 32 minutes ago
  • Eric Gordon whiffs from deep in loss
Eric Gordon made 2-of-14 from the field for six points against the Warriors on Friday, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 33 minutes.

Advice: Yuck. Gordon had the lead for total 3-pointers before tonight, but Stephen Curry passed him back. After Gordon made an incredible 4.4 treys per game on 45.7 from deep in December, he's down to 3.3 on 30.6 percent. Obviously volume helps with his 10.9 attempts and Gordon is still at a respectable 40.0 percent overall this month. He probably has peaked, but keep him going. Rotoworld.com 36 minutes ago
  • Tyreke Evans scores eight points in loss
Tyreke Evans scored just eight points with four rebounds, no assists, two steals and one turnover in 13 minutes during a 143-114 blowout loss to the Nets on Friday.

Advice: The last time we saw Evans play the Nets, he busted out for 29 points. Of course, that was because he was on fire and Anthony Davis was out. He's going to be off for a couple days, so we'll see if he gets an increase on his minutes. Rotoworld.com 49 minutes ago
  • Dante Cunningham post a -32
Dante Cunningham scored 14 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

Advice: In the plus-minus stat, he managed an incredible -32. Coach Alvin Gentry insists on starting him to help on switches and perimeter defense, but it's costing him in other areas. He's worth a look in deep leagues, but his low upside makes him a low-demand player. He's actually been decent, as a top-200 player lately. Rotoworld.com 51 minutes ago
  • Anthony Davis gets banged up yet again
Anthony Davis suffered a right quad contusion against the Nets on Friday, finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 27 minutes.

Advice: That's yet another injury for Davis. In the last week, we have him down for bumps and bruises to the following areas: right quad, left hip, right hip, tailbone, left fingers, left thumb and right wrist. Before the injury, he was actually going off, but he was limping throughout the second half. He'll likely be on the injury report, but he has until Jan. 23 to get right. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:22 pm
  • Zach Randolph scores 20 w/ 10 boards
Zach Randolph scored 20 points with 10 rebounds in Friday's win over the Kings.

Advice: Z-Bo finished 7-of-14 from the field with a pair of assists in 24 minutes. He also hit multiple 3-pointers (two) for the first time as a Grizzly which included a 35-foot buzzer-beating triple. Randolph was coming off a six-point dud vs. the Wizards, but he's still averaging 14.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists over his last five. His upside is low due to the lack of defensive stats, but he's worth owning right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:21 pm
  • Brook Lopez scores 23 points in win
Brook Lopez scored 23 points with eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday during a 143-114 win.

Advice: The Nets offense was just ridiculous today, scoring more points than any Eastern Conference team in a regulation game this season. It was also the second-most scoring in franchise history for regulation and most since 1982. As for Lopez, his fantasy owners will be on red alert with possible rest coming up on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:17 pm
  • Marc Gasol scores 28 points in win over Kings
Marc Gasol scored 28 points in 33 minutes in Friday's 107-91 win over the Kings.

Advice: Gasol filled it up tonight, shooting 9-of-19 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line with nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and three triples in 33 minutes. Gasol has now scored 24+ points in three straight games, but his owners will want to make sure he's active on Saturday vs. the Rockets on the second night of a back-to-back set -- Gasol has rested twice this season and both DNPs occurred during back-to-back sets. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:15 pm
  • Joe Harris gets just 13 minutes
Joe Harris played just 13 minutes with eight points, two rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: That's some low playing time with his backup, Sean Kilpatrick (rest), not playing today. Caris LeVert is coming for his minutes, so Harris is trending down for owners who had him in super deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:10 pm
  • Quincy Acy scores 12 points
Quincy Acy scored a season-high 12 points with eight rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: He was happy to get a second 10-day deal and he made the Nets feel good about it right off the bat. Acy plays mostly center for the Nets, so keep that in mind if Brook Lopez rests. He'll only be a desperation stream or punt in DFS best case. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:07 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson plays all PF
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 12 points with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 18 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: The Nets actually played him at straight four in this game, but some of that was likely because Trevor Booker (rest) didn't play. Coach Kenny Atkinson really likes him as a combo forward and it helps with their tempo. Hollis-Jefferson hasn't really been sniffing value in standard leagues, but he's trending up a bit. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:04 pm
  • Nick Young (knee) starts second half Friday
Nick Young (knee) started the second half of Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: He hyperextended his left knee in the second quarter, but X-rays were negative and it sounds like he escaped with a minor tweak. Young is moving well as we report this, but check back after the game for an update. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:02 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell (knee, calf) won't return
D'Angelo Russell (knee, calf) will not return to Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: In addition to his right MCL sprain, Russell also has a strained right calf. The Lakers didn't rule Russell out right away, so hopefully the injuries are minor. Russell is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Saturday, but don't be surprised if he misses time since the Lakers have nothing to play for. Jose Calderon started the second half, but he's not a great speculative pickup. Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams will each get a boost with Russell out. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:01 pm
  • Nick Young (left leg) to the locker room
Nick Young limped to the locker room in the second quarter on Friday.

Advice: He had a tweak to his left knee on a non-contact injury and couldn't put weight on it as he hopped off the floor. Young was in a lot of pain along the baseline for about two minutes before going back to the locker room. If he's out, Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams will be busy. We'll likely see more Jose Calderon and Brandon Ingram, as well. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:29 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell (knee) has a mild MCL sprain
D'Angelo Russell has been diagnosed with a mild MCL sprain in his right knee, but he could return for the second half of Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: This is great news. It sounds like the injury is very minor, but we'll know for sure when Russell is re-evaluated at halftime. Jose Calderon entered the game when Russell went back to the locker room, but Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams will benefit the most if Russell misses time. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:09 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell (knee) goes to locker room
D'Angelo Russell (knee) left Friday's game vs. the Pacers and went back to the locker room.

Advice: Russell was coming off a Julius Randle screen, but Russell's leg got caught on Randle's leg and it caused him to slip. He also had his knee hit hard on the ground as he fell awkwardly. This is the same knee that sidelined him earlier this season, but the good news is that Russell was able to get up and walk under his own power to the locker room with a team trainer. We'll have an update soon. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:49 pm
  • Anthony Davis wearing right wrist tape
Anthony Davis was wearing right wrist wrap in warmups on Friday before the game against the Nets.

Advice: To be clear, he is fully expected to play without any restriction. Davis suffered a minor wrist injury on Wednesday, but he did return. He has recently suffered injuries to his left hip, right hip, right wrist, left fourth and fifth fingers, left thumb and tailbone in the last week. All that said, he could have a massive game today against the NBA's fastest team. Rotoworld.com Today, 3:16 pm
  • Atkinson likes Rondae at the four
Coach Kenny Atkinson said he thinks Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has helped the team and Hollis-Jefferson.

Advice: "I think we envision him playing both positions," Atkinson said. "But we have been more skewed towards the four position and he’s adapted really well. A lot of second units now play small ball." With the Nets leading the NBA in pace and Caris LeVert pushing for minutes at the three, this move makes a lot of sense for Hollis-Jefferson. He still hasn't hit his peak yet, so he's more of a stash right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:43 pm
  • Anthony Davis aiming to win All-Star MVP
Anthony Davis said that he will definitely do his best to take home MVP honors in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played in New Orleans.

Advice: 'I'm definitely going after trying to get MVP, especially here in New Orleans. 'Coach Gentry told me every time I catch it, put it up. So I'm going to go out there and represent the city and try to walk away with that MVP for sure," said Davis. The Brow also talked about how he is becoming more comfortable playing center. ''I like playing the four, but right now with the team that we have and the way we are playing with small ball, it's helpful and I'm beneficial to the team at the five." Rotoworld.com Today, 6:18 am
  • Quincy Acy will sign another 10-day contract
Quincy Acy will sign another 10-day contract with the Nets.

Advice: Acy has made four brief appearances for the Nets, but he made a decent fist impression with averages of 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game. Unless his role grows, fantasy owners can continue to ignore him. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:09 am
  • James Harden scores 38 points in victory
James Harden put on an offensive clinic during a 111-92 win over the Bucks on Wednesday, scoring 38 points with six rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: If you didn't see this game, you missed a great one with Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo going off. Antetokounmpo gave Harden some props after the game. "I think I can say right now he is the best player in the league," Giannis said. Harden has been surging over his last seven, averaging 34.3 points, 9.0 boards, 10.1 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.9 treys on 63.2 true shooting percentage. This game also moved him past Anthony Davis for No. 2 on the points per game leader board this season. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:17 pm
  • Tyreke Evans fills it up in just 20 minutes
Tyreke Evans made the most of his 20 minutes vs. the Magic on Wednesday, scoring 18 points with five assists, four rebounds, three steals and four 3-pointers.

Advice: New Orleans' offense ran wild tonight and Evans looked great once again -- over the past five games he's now averaging 17.0 points on 50.0 percent FGs and 92.9 percent FTs, 1.6 triples, 3.2 boards, 4.4 assists and 2.0 steals. He said he's "getting used to [a bench role], just coming off, being aggressive," and he needs to be in your active lineups in light of his recent success. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:04 pm
  • Dante Cunningham hits 7-of-11 FGs for 14 pts
Dante Cunningham earned another start for the Pelicans on Wednesday, posting 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting with five rebounds and no other stats in 27 minutes.

Advice: The veteran came in shooting 38.9 percent this season, and he's typically a vacant fantasy option no matter how many minutes he gets. He belongs on the wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:01 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb, hand) escapes Wed
Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) played 29 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with 21 points (9-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and one block.

Advice: AD survived yet another injury scare tonight when he left to get X-rays on his left hand, but he quickly returned while wearing a splint on two fingers. He seems to be perpetually banged up, yet he's only missed three games this season. The risk of a shutdown is limited by the fact that New Orleans is just 1.5 games out of the playoff picture, and thus far Davis has paid off richly for his risk-taking owners. As a precaution, we'll add him to the injury report ahead of Friday's home game vs. Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:00 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores 25 points vs. Bucks
Eric Gordon scored 25 points with four rebounds and seven 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Advice: That ankle issue clearly didn't bother him. Gordon had been in a shooting slump this month, making just 31.1 percent from deep in his previous January games. After the game, Gordon passed Stephen Curry for first in the NBA for total 3-pointers -- Curry could pass him back tonight against the Thunder. These sharpshooters will face off on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:00 pm
  • Marc Gasol scores 28 points vs. Wizards
Marc Gasol scored 28 points against the Wizards on Wednesday during a 104-101 loss, adding two rebounds, seven assists, one block and one turnover in 39 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies aren't quite playing their best ball and are now down to the No. 7 seed. Gasol also hasn't played as well as he did in December with his January averages dropping in points, rebounds, blocks and treys. He gets two home favorable matchups over the weekend with the Kings on Friday and the Rockets on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:21 pm
  • Anthony Davis returns to action vs. Magic
Anthony Davis (left thumb, left hand sprain, right hip) returned to action on Wednesday.

Advice: X-rays were negative on his left hand and he should be OK. Hopefully, he can stay healthy for the rest of the game tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:57 pm
  • Confirmed: Anthony Davis will play Wednesday
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) will play Wednesday vs. the Magic, as expected.

Advice: Davis looked fine while going through his pregame routine, and there's been no discussion of a minutes restriction, so his owners can feel free to fire him up. Alvin Gentry may have had the quote of the year during his pregame interview, stating, "AD will play hurt. He's played hurt since the day he got here." Yup. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:40 pm
  • Eric Gordon will play on Wednesday night
Eric Gordon (ankle) will play on Wednesday night against the Bucks.

Advice: He should be ready to roll after a tweak of his ankle. Gordon continues to make his money when he's not on the court next to James Harden, posting a 33.2 usage rate without The Beard and only a 19.0 with him. He's worth using in standard leagues tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:28 pm
  • Eric Gordon not on the injury report
Eric Gordon (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday against the Bucks.

Advice: He looked to tweak his ankle on Tuesday and did have to leave the game. The Rockets didn't have a shootaround today, so we likely won't get another update on him until about 90 minutes before tip. For now, expect him to play in a high-scoring game as the Rockets look to bounce back from a loss on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:38 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) says he'll play
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) said that he will play Wednesday vs. Orlando.

Advice: Davis really likes going up against the Magic, in eight career outings against Orlando he owns impressive averages of 18.8 points, 13.4 boards, 1.4 dimes, 1.4 steals and a whopping 4.1 swats per contest, so he's on the radar as a potential DFS target. Just check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:12 am
  • Russell blames himself for lack of 4Q minutes
D'Angelo Russell blamed himself for his lack of fourth-quarter minutes as of late.

Advice: "It’s been [crappy], it’s been real [crappy] I haven’t been bringing it," Russell said of his play late in games. "I applaud coach [Luke Walton] for not putting me on the floor the times that I haven’t [been bringing it]." In the past three games, Russell has been on the floor for a grand total of three minutes and 47 seconds during the fourth quarter, although he should eventually start seeing crunch time minutes once player development (and not winning) becomes Walton's primary focus. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:32 am
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scores 14 points
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's loss to Toronto.

Advice: This was his second game in a row with 14 points, but he played 26 minutes this time compared to 17 on Sunday. He also added eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in one of his better games of the season. A recent report by Zack Lowe of ESPN indicated that the Nets are "willing" to listen to offers for the second-year wing, but he's one of the few building blocks on the roster and a move away from Brooklyn would likely be a bad thing for his value -- he has a great path to extended minutes on the Nets. To be clear, a trade seems very unlikely and RHJ looks like a nice stash for the second half of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:18 pm
  • Sam Dekker plays 25 minutes in loss
Sam Dekker played 25 minutes and hit 3-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points, seven rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's loss to the Heat.

Advice: He saw some extra minutes with Ryan Anderson out with an illness, but will return to his normal (read: fewer) minutes with Anderson due back quickly from the flu. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:12 pm
  • Eric Gordon has one of those nights in loss
Eric Gordon hit just 3-of-17 shots and 1-of-10 3-pointers for seven points, one rebound and one assist in Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Heat.

Advice: Ouch. He left the game briefly to have either his ankle or toe re-taped, but never got into a groove tonight. And with Ryan Anderson out with the flu, the Rockets were looking for him to step up. Hopefully his re-taping issue is not a problem going forward and we expect him to bounce back on Wednesday against the Bucks. That is a back-to-back situation and coach Mike D'Antoni said after the game he's a little worried about whether Gordon will be ready to bounce back. Watch for news on Gordon on Wednesday, just in case. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:10 pm
  • Brook Lopez scores 28, tweaks right ankle
Brook Lopez scored 28 points in Tuesday's loss to the Raptors, but appeared to roll his right ankle in the fourth quarter.

Advice: Lopez had a slight limp on the next couple plays, but he was moving better and better as the fourth quarter progressed. There's a chance that his ankle will swell up on him overnight, but luckily he gets a few days of rest before Friday's game vs. the Pelicans. Lopez added eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks on 11-of-23 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. If you're in a deep league, handcuffing him with Justin Hamilton isn't a bad idea. For what it's worth, Lopez said he felt "fine" after the game. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:02 pm
  • Eric Gordon leaves, then returns for Rockets
Eric Gordon suffered a lower right leg injury of some sort on Tuesday and went to the locker room, but returned a short time later.

Advice: He likely either aggravated his toe injury or suffered a sprained ankle, but whatever the case, he had it taped back up and is back in the game. He's having a tough night, currently sitting on seven points on 3-of-11 shooting. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:09 pm
  • Brook Lopez is starting for the Nets Tuesday
Brook Lopez, who got the day off on Sunday for rest, is starting for the Nets on Tuesday.

Advice: He's good to go and should have a decent matchup against the Raptors tonight. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:29 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) questionable Weds
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Davis hit the ground hard on Monday, and given that he tends to be a slow healer, we feel he's probably a bit closer to doubtful for Wednesday's game. If he's out, Terrence Jones would likely move back into the starting five, and there would be more minutes available for Donatas Motiejunas, while Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans would be tasked with more offensive responsibilities. Check back for another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:47 am
  • Dante Cunningham scores three points in start
Dante Cunningham moved into the starting lineup on Monday vs. the Pacers, but scored just three points on 1-of-7 shooting in 31 minutes.

Advice: We have no idea why coach Alvin Gentry insists on giving Cunningham this type of workload, but it could be his downfall. The forward added just two rebounds, one steal and a triple, while Terrence Jones had 15 points with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a triple in 26 minutes off the bench. Even with Anthony Davis (back) going down, Cunnigham isn't worth adding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:36 pm
  • Tyreke Evans scores 12 points in loss
Tyreke Evans scored 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting in Monday's loss to the Pacers.

Advice: Evans appeared to bang his surgically-repaired left knee on the floor after a layup attempt and he was seen rubbing it, but he was able to carry on and didn't appear to be limited. Evans' owners are going to freak out whenever they hear about his left knee, but it sounds like he escaped with just a bruise. He added five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 23 minutes, and he could be looking at a larger role if Anthony Davis (back) is forced to miss any time -- the last time Davis missed a game, Evans went off for a season-high 29 points with four rebounds, three assists, four steals, one block and two 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:30 pm
  • Thaddeus Young racks up six steals in win
Thaddeus Young racked up six steals in Monday's win over the Pelicans, finishing with 17 points, three rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes.

Advice: Young was poked in the left eye tonight, but it only cost him a couple minutes and he looked fine down the stretch. This was his eighth career game with 6+ steals (his career high is eight steals) and his second in the span of a week, so this wasn't a complete fluke. He finished 8-of-9 from the field and hit his only free throw in one of the best fantasy lines of the day. He gets another favorable matchup vs. the Kings on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:13 pm
  • Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) doubtful to return
Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) is doubtful to return to Monday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: The good news here is that the X-rays taken on his thumb and hip both came back negative, so it appears AD has avoided a serious injury. He was barely able to walk to the locker room, so it would be quite shocking to see him return to the game today. He'll end his evening with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. Terrence Jones is going to be the primary beneficiary if Davis is forced to miss any additional time, so he's a solid pickup in any setting. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:12 pm
  • Anthony Davis (back) heads to the locker room
Anthony Davis (tailbone) is headed to the locker room.

Advice: Davis tried to posterize Myles Turner on a dunk attempt, but Turner did not let that happen, and Davis hit the floor hard. He was writhing in pain on the ground for roughly a minute, and while he stayed in the game to knock down his free throws, he went straight back to the locker room after knocking them down. Davis was barely able to walk on his way back to the locker room, so it seems unlikely he'll be able to return to this one. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:38 pm
  • Thaddeus Young (eye) available to return
Thaddeus Young (eye) is available to return to Monday's game against the Pelicans.

Advice: Jrue Holiday inadvertently poked Young in the left eye, but after being examined in the locker room, he was deemed available to return. He should be fine. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:57 pm
  • Cunningham starting, Jones to the bench
Dante Cunningham will return to the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Pacers, sending Terrence Jones back to the bench.

Advice: Alvin Gentry just loves Cunningham, but there's nothing to like about his production in fantasy hoops. Jrue Holiday, Buddy Hield, Solomon Hill and Anthony Davis will join Cunningham in the starting five for today's matinee, and Jones' value will take a hit with the demotion to the second unit. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:37 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell recovers, scores 20 points
D'Angelo Russell bounced back on Sunday with 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: Russell's playing time was actually down tonight, tying his lowest mark since Dec. 27, but it was nice to see him knocking down some shots -- in his previous three games, he averaged just 7.7 points on 9-of-34 shooting (26.5 percent). He has terrific breakout potential, and his recent shooting slump presented an ideal buy-low situation. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 11:11 pm
  • Zach Randolph posts 16 & 15 in win vs Chicago
Zach Randolph grabbed eight of his 16 rebounds on the offensive end vs. Chicago on Sunday, adding 15 points, two assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: In the process, Randolph passed Chris Webber for 88th on the NBA's all-time scoring list -- after Sunday's game he has 17,188 points in his career. He was awful to start tonight's game, but the veteran's newfound bench role hasn't prevented him from posting mid-round value over the Grizzlies' past 15 games. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:15 pm
  • Quincy Acy plays 20 minutes vs. Rockets
Quincy Acy played 20 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets, finishing with seven points, four boards, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Acy is a combined 3-of-4 from deep since joining the Nets on Jan. 10, but perimeter shooting isn't a facet of his game we expect to see with regularity. He was also averaging just 3.0 minutes in his previous two appearances for Brooklyn, with a DNP-CD to his credit, and there's no reason to consider him in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:26 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson plays well vs Houston
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 14 points (5-of-8 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) during Sunday's home loss to the Rockets, adding seven boards, three steals and two assists.

Advice: RHJ also committed five turnovers and he played just 17 minutes in the blowout loss, but at least he was active while on the court tonight. He's an interesting rest-of-season target, since the Nets are likely to emphasize the development of their young guys, but most owners should wait before stashing him. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:25 pm
  • James Harden gets 12th triple-double Sunday
James Harden posted another triple-double on Sunday, his 12th of the season, with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, four 3-pointers, one steal and one block.

Advice: The Rockets scored 74 points in the first half, matching a season-high, and they finished with 137 points in a high-scoring rout in Brooklyn. Harden trails Russell Westbrook's 19 triple-doubles, but he leads the league with 35 double-doubles. Any way you slice it, he's been amazing in both reality and fantasy. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:08 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores game-high 24 points Sunday
Eric Gordon lit up the Nets on Sunday for a game-high 24 points, making 9-of-14 shots with four 3-pointers in 28 minutes of action.

Advice: Gordon added three boards, three assists and just one turnover, and his recent toe injury isn't a concern. The Rockets' perimeter-happy offense has enabled him to drained a whopping 3.7 triples per game this season, which has anchored his mid-round fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:06 pm
  • Sam Dekker (shoulder) looks good in 17 mins
Sam Dekker (strained left shoulder) posted eight points on 4-of-5 shooting vs. the Nets on Sunday, adding three assists, one rebound and one steal in 17 minutes.

Advice: Dekker didn't miss any time with the injury, but even at full strength he's an unappealing fantasy asset in standard leagues. In Houston's previous five games, the second-year forward was averaging just 5.8 points on 38.5 percent shooting, 1.2 threes, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.6 steals. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:01 pm
  • Brook Lopez (rest) won't play Sunday vs. HOU
Brook Lopez (rest) will not suit up for Sunday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: Head coach Kenny Atkinson said that the Nets having played six games in nine nights, including a Thursday-Friday back-to-back set is the reason why he's resting Lopez today. Justin Hamilton will start tonight sans Lopez, so he's on the radar as a potential streamer or DFS punt play. Sean Kilpatrick and Bojan Bogdanvoic will likely be doing the heavy lifting on the offensive end, and Caris LeVert could see some increased opportunity with the second unit. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 12:41 pm
  • Walton wants Russell to keep shooting
Lakers coach Luke Walton wants D'Angelo Russell to keep being aggressive despite his recent shooting slump.

Advice: "If it’s a good shot and if his defender is under him, I want him shooting those 3s," Walton said. "I want him being aggressive. I’d rather him err on being the side of being too aggressive than too cautious at this point. He knows that." Russell has been held to single-digit points in each of his last three games on a combined 9-of-34 shooting, but Walton is confident that the PG will turn things around. Russell is a nice buy-low player and will look to get back on track vs. the Pistons on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:05 am
  • Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) will play
Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) will play on Sunday vs. the Nets.

Advice: He picked up the injury at the end of Friday's game and was held out of practice on Saturday, but he's good to go tonight and there's no word of any restrictions. Dekker is averaging 5.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 triple through the first seven games of January. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:37 am
  • Tyreke Evans scores 14 points
Tyreke Evans made 6-of-15 from the field 14 points with one rebound, six assists, one steal and one turnover in 22 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: Bad shooting line aside, Evans really does look great. He's run the offense for most of his minutes while he's out there and he's playing three positions in the process. There's a massive injury risk on Evans going forward, but his owners can start using him as a must-start player when active. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:18 pm
  • Dante Cunningham scores seven points
Dante Cunningham scored seven points with five rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes off the bench against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: He was the first forward sub of the game and checked in for Terrence Jones, so coach Alvin Gentry may see him in that role going forward. Cunningham needs a ridiculous amount of minutes to have value in even deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:00 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell puts up a dud against CP3
D'Angelo Russell made 1-of-7 from the field for five points with six rebounds, five assists and two turnovers in 28 minutes during a blowout 113-97 loss to the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: It's not fun to go against Chris Paul. Russell may have ice in his veins, but he also has ice on his jumper, making only 1-of-11 from deep in his last three. The Lakers could keep an eye on his knee injury and he did jam his finger in practice on Wednesday, so maybe that's part of it. We still like him as a buy-low player. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:14 pm
  • Nick Young scores 11 points
Nick Young scored 11 points with one steal and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: His minutes have taken a hit this month, but some of that is due to the Lakers being blown out for three games in a row. Coach Luke Walton still is trusting Young's defense and he asked him to chase around J.J. Redick in this game. He's almost certainly past his peak on the season and has slowed down in his last five, averaging 6.8 points, 1.2 boards, 0.6 assists and 1.4 treys on just 27.5 percent from the field. If you want to cut him for an upward-trending free agent, go for it. We would cut him for someone like Terrence Jones in a second. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:09 pm
  • Sam Dekker (shoulder) questionable for Sunday
Sam Dekker (left shoulder strain) is questionable for Sunday's game at Brooklyn.

Advice: Dekker has played in all 42 the Rockets games this season, averaging 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per contest. Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson and Corey Brewer would likely see more minutes than usual if Dekker does not play Sunday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:09 am
  • Zach Randolph scores 16 points
Zach Randolph scored 16 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: Even with the Grizzlies going big, they still kept the Rockets in check from deep in the second half. Randolph posted his ninth double-double on the season in this game and was especially important in the second half, scoring 14 points after the break. Randolph is starting to flirt with mid-round value lately, which probably means it's time to sell high. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:36 pm
  • James Harden scores 27 points in loss
James Harden scored 27 points in a 110-105 home loss to the Grizzlies on Friday, adding three rebounds, nine assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Coach Mike D'Antoni was a little late on putting Harden back in during this game, which may have been a factor in the loss. The Rockets are now on their first losing streak of the season, but you can bet they'll be snapping out of it in Brooklyn on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:29 pm
  • Eric Gordon returns, looks rusty
Eric Gordon scored 13 points in his return to the lineup on Friday, adding one rebound, one assist and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: The left big toe sprain didn't hinder his playing time, playing just above his 30.6 minutes per game average. Gordon goes from a tough matchup tonight to a dream matchup on Sunday against the Nets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:18 pm
  • Brook Lopez scores 20 in a loss at TOR
Brook Lopez scored 20 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one turnover in 29 minutes against the Raptors on Friday.

Advice: He wasn't happy with how the Nets blew a lead on Thursday and maybe that's why he played so much in a road game tonight. The Nets are plummeting in the standings with a nine-game losing streak, so the likelihood of a Brook shutdown in April is growing by the day. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:42 pm
  • Harris, Bojan, Booker & Lopez are starting
Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic, Trevor Booker and Brook Lopez will start against the Raptors on Friday.

Advice: The Nets are not resting their starters in a road back-to-back game, but there is a very good chance their minutes are held in check. Go ahead and start Brook in season long leagues, but he's a little risky in DFS. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:29 pm
  • Eric Gordon wants to test toe before game
Eric Gordon has been cleared to play Friday against Memphis, but said he still wants to give it one more test before the game to be sure.

Advice: Gordon is still likely to play on Friday, but it's not a certainty. "I just started running a little bit for the first time (Thursday). It's still painful a little bit, but we'll see how it goes before the game, try to get ready for the game," Gordon said after shootaround. "You got to play with some kind of pain. You have to deal with it." Check back prior to tip-off, as we will pass along offical word once it is announced. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:33 am
  • Eric Gordon (toe) will play Friday night
Eric Gordon (left big toe sprain) is available to play Friday night vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Gordon has missed each of the Rockets last two games due to the toe injury, which allowed Steph Curry to pass him for the league lead in made 3-pointers. However, Gordon, who is a strong early-season candidate for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, will look to get back on track Friday night. Gordon is averaging 17.8 points and 3.7 3-pointers per game this season. Get him back in your starting lineups. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:44 am
  • Tyreke Evans busts out with 29 points vs. BK
Tyreke Evans turned in his best game since his knee surgery in a 104-95 win over the Nets on Thursday, scoring a season-high 29 points with four rebounds, three assists, four steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He played a season-high 28 minutes, made all seven from the line and hit 10-of-15 from the field. After the game, Evans talked about all his work he's put in to recover from knee surgery. "I'm still trying to strengthen my knee up. It shows the hard work I'm putting in," Evans said. The minutes limit should still be there, but Evans' fantasy owners have to love this. HIs 29 points are the most scored by a Pelican not named Anthony Davis. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:12 pm
  • Dante Cunningham comes off the bench
Dante Cunningham moved to the bench on Thursday against the Nets, finishing with four points, five boards and one steal.

Advice: Maybe, just maybe coach Alvin Gentry will start playing Terrence Jones over Cunningham more now. Cunningham isn't worth owning in almost any league regardless. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:49 pm
  • Joe Harris scores 15 points vs. NO
Joe Harris scored 15 points during a 104-95 loss to the Pelicans on Thursday, adding two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

Advice: He was likely on thin ice with only four total points in his previous three games, so a good game here has to help. Plus, Caris LeVert is also making a charge for more playing time and possibly even starting. Although, LeVert usually checks in for Bojan Bogdanovic while Sean Kilpatrick checks in for Harris. If Isaiah Whitehead (knee) misses time, that would help Harris slightly for owners in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:35 pm
  • Brook Lopez scores 20 in a loss
Brook Lopez scored 20 points with six rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday.

Advice: He's been extremely consistent with at least 20 points in each of his last three. That said, there is a very good chance Lopez gets the night off in Toronto for the road game in a back-to-back set on Friday. If that' the case, Justin Hamilton would benefit most while Luis Scola would help out. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson moves to the bench
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson moved back to the bench against the Pelicans on Thursday, scoring four points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in 18 minutes.

Advice: The minutes haven't been there for RHJ. He's been squeezed out a bit for small forward minutes, but coach Kenny Atkinson has used him more at the four. Hollis-Jefferson will likely get minutes later in the season, so he's more of a stash right now. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:12 pm
  • Dante Cunningham moves to the bench
Dante Cunningham will move to the bench against the Nets on Thursday.

Advice: He should still be in the rotation tonight, but obviously fantasy owners shouldn't be looking his way. Cunningham will need a lot to happen to have consistent fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:10 pm
  • Thaddeus Young puts up a dud
Thaddeus Young scored just four points with four rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: Wilson Chandler took him to school throughout this game. Young's offensive game was coming around in his previous 10 with 13.2 points per game to go with his 7.1 boards and 2.2 steals on 50.5 percent from the field. Young should continue to be a mid-round guy in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:21 pm
  • James Harden's 33/12/6 not enough vs. MIN
James Harden racked up 33 points, 12 assists and six rebounds in a losing effort vs. the Wolves on Wednesday, making 10-of-23 field goals and 11-of-13 free throws.

Advice: Harden has been ridiculous lately with five triple-doubles in his last seven games, and tonight was no exception -- in addition to the points, boards and assists, he added two blocks, one steal and a pair of 3-pointers. Incredibly, this was Houston's first loss in the second of back-to-back games all season, dropping them to 9-1 in such situations. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:01 pm
  • Zach Randolph scores 14 points against OKC
Zach Randolph scored 14 points with nine rebounds, one assist and four turnovers in 27 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Advice: With those Z-bounds, he moved ahead of A.C. Green for 44th on the all-time list for rebounds. Randolph has obviously lost a step and his screen game has fallen off lately. He's still worth a look in standard leagues, but his upside isn't the greatest. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:14 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell jams finger, is fine
D'Angelo Russell jammed his finger in practice on Wednesday and is fine for Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: There's no reason to be alarmed here. Russell is coming off a bad game with just nine points on Tuesday, but he's been trending up before that. Even in a sub-par matchup, he could have a great game on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:17 pm
  • D’Angelo Russell scores nine on 4-of-14 shots
D’Angelo Russell was held to nine points on 4-of-14 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Blazers.

Advice: Despite the rough shooting performance, coach Luke Walton praised him after the game for contributing in other areas -- Russell added eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block in 30 minutes. Russell has been playing much better and was averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.0 triples in his previous five games in January, but tonight's dud may have opened up a buy-low window again. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:15 pm
  • James Harden triple-doubles in win
James Harden kept it going on Tuesday with 40 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists and seven 3-pointers in 38 minutes of Tuesday's 121-114 win over the Hornets.

Advice: He hit 11-of-24 shots and 11-of-14 free throws, and only had four turnovers tonight. Harden now has 11 triple-doubles on the season, has triple-doubled in back-to-back games, and has also done so in three of his last five games. Over that stretch, he's averaging a staggering 28.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, 10.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 3.0 3-pointers and is shooting 39 percent. He's also averaging 6.4 turnovers, but as long as the triple-doubles and massive stat lines are coming, owners will just have to live with some poor shooting and a ton of TOs. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:16 pm
  • Brook Lopez scores 20 points in loss
Brook Lopez scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Hawks.

Advice: He played 32 minutes and added two rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples. The Nets have a back-to-back set coming up on Thursday vs. the Pelicans (at home) and Friday vs. the Raptors (on the road), so a maintenance day could be in his future because he plays for the Nets. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:43 pm
  • Quincy Acy scores four points in debut
Quincy Acy made his debut for the Nets on Tuesday vs. the Hawks and scored four points with one rebound and a triple in just one minute.

Advice: He made a strong first impression, but we don't see playing many minutes when Trevor Booker (hip) returns on Thursday vs. the Pelicans. Leave Acy on the wire. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:39 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scores 10 points
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson started on Tuesday vs. the Hawks and scored 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Advice: RHJ drew the start in place of Trevor Booker (hip), but Booker said after the game that he's expecting to play on Thursday. Hollis-Jefferson was able to grab seven rebounds with one assist and hit all six of his free throws, but didn't really make the most of his opportunity in this one. He only averages 20.1 minutes per game as a reserve, so he's hard to trust in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:34 pm
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will start on Tuesday
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: Trevor Booker (hip) is out tonight, which is what prompted the change, and it'll be interesting to see how RHJ fares in his return to the starting lineup. Isaiah Whitehead, Joe Harris, Bojan Bogdanovic and Brook Lopez will join him in the starting five for tonight's game. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:45 pm
  • Quincy Acy will be available to play Tuesday
Quincy Acy will be available to make his Brooklyn debut Tuesday vs. Atlanta.

Advice: Acy will provide the Nets with some depth at the power forward position during his 10-day contract, but as long as Trevor Booker is starting, it's unlikely he'll be able to command any fantasy value in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:56 pm
