  • Alexis Ajinca back to bench on Thursday
Alexis Ajinca will shift back to a bench role vs. Houston on Thursday.

Advice: DeMarcus Cousins is starting alongside Anthony Davis tonight, and that's about all fantasy owners need to know here. Ajinca doesn't have value while those two studs are healthy. 58 minutes ago
  • Corey Brewer goes through practice
Corey Brewer went through practice on Thursday.

Advice: Coach Luke Walton doesn't expect Brewer to play many minutes in his debut on Friday. There are some minutes available with Lou Williams in Houston, but there's no need to add Brewer almost anywhere for fantasy. Today, 3:04 pm
  • Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen are questionable
Thaddeus Young (wrist) and Lavoy Allen (knee) are questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: The Pacers were unable to add anyone at the deadline to help their depth at the four or on the wing. Young has been out since his injury back on Feb. 23 due to sprained shooting wrist, so it could take some time for him to get going again. If Young and Allen can't play, Kevin Seraphin should get big minutes again. Today, 1:35 pm
  • Brandan Wright (personal) ruled out Friday
Brandan Wright (personal) will not play vs. the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: Zach Randolph should pick up a few more minutes with Wright out of commission, but there aren't any big repercussions here since Wright is averaging 13.9 minutes this season. He's day-to-day and could return as soon as Sunday's game vs. Denver. Today, 1:11 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari (groin) will play vs. Kings
Danilo Gallinari (groin) will play against the Kings on Thursday.

Advice: He has been out since his Feb. 1 and was back at practice on Wednesday. The Nuggets were expected to traded away either Gallo or Wilson Chandler, but were unable to do so. Gallinari should have some minute restrictions in the early going. His return will hurt guys like Will Barton and Juancho Hernangomez. Chandler should also play more at the four. Today, 12:34 pm
  • Anthony Morrow traded to the Bulls
Anthony Morrow has been traded to the Bulls.

Advice: It appears that the Bulls are switching into rebuild mode, so this isn't a great spot for Morrow. He could be in the rotation because the Bulls have little to no perimeter shooting with Doug McDermott in OKC, but most fantasy owners can monitor Morrow from the wire. He averaged 5.8 points and 0.9 triples in 15.7 minutes per game for the Thunder. Today, 12:02 pm
  • Y!: Wolves-Rose talks stalled significantly
New York and Minnesota talks for a Derrick Rose trade have "stalled significantly," according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Advice: This is music to the ears of Wolves fans. There is a chance Rose is still dealt, but the Knicks are not getting many bites on their expiring Rose contract. For now, expect Rose to stay put today. Today, 11:44 am
  • Report: Pacers interested in Arron Afflalo
The Pacers reportedly have interest in trading for Kings swingman Arron Afflalo.

Advice: If the Pacers don't get a suitable offer for Paul George, it sounds like they'll pivot to being buyers at the deadline. Afflalo would provide redundant depth on the wings and he's a poor per-minutes fantasy option, so there's no cause for optimism here. Today, 11:40 am
  • Andre Roberson could be dealt to CHI
Andre Roberson could be headed to Chicago in a potential Doug McDermott and Cameron Payne trade, according to Frank Isola of The Daily News.

Advice: OKC is trying to find out how much it will cost to re-sign Roberson, as well. This trade sounds like it's going down and Andre Roberson was giving hugs to his teammates in practice. The Bulls could be very busy with more deals coming, but Roberson isn't going to be much more than a defender anyway. Today, 11:13 am
  • Report: Clippers interested in Courtney Lee
The Clippers and Knicks have discussed a trade involving Courtney Lee, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.

Advice: The Knicks are reportedly looking for draft picks, which the Clippers don't have, so it's unclear how far these discussions have gone. Lee would be a nice real-world addition to the Clippers but it wouldn't help his fantasy stock. Today, 10:26 am
  • Joel Embiid (knee) to miss next four games
Joel Embiid (left knee) is expected to miss the Sixers' next four games, following the recommendation of the team's doctors.

Advice: Embiid went through a full practice on Thursday but the Sixers are being extremely cautious, as expected. If he returned after four games he could play on March 3rd, but there are no guarantees -- it's worth noting that that game is the first of a back-to-back set. Embiid did say he had some swelling on Thursday morning, which obviously isn't good, but for now it sounds like Philly is just playing it safe. His owners just have to hold him in the hopes of a return in early March. Today, 9:25 am
  • Omer Asik (illness) not at practice
Omer Asik (illness) was not at practice on Thursday.

Advice: Asik is not likely to be in the rotation anyway. Today, 9:08 am
  • C.J. Watson (Achilles) will not play Thursday
C.J. Watson (Achilles) will not play against the Blazers on Thursday.

Advice: The means Elfrid Payton is expected to start tonight with D.J. Augustin likely to back him up. Although, the Magic could be making a move with DJA's name popping up in rumors. Watson is 32 years old and could need some time to recover from this strained Achilles. Today, 8:14 am
  • Arron Afflalo expected to be traded?
League executives expect Arron Afflalo to be moved prior to the deadline according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Advice: The Kings are clearly tanking so they can keep their top-10 protected lottery pick that they owe to Chicago. Afflalo's owed a non-guaranteed $12.5 million next season, so his expiring contract shouldn't be too hard to move. The Kings will be lucky to get a second-round pick in return. Today, 8:01 am
  • Raptors still after Wilson Chandler?
The Raptors have pursued Wilson Chandler in a trade, according to Marc Stein of

Advice: The Raptors want a bigger forward or a shooter, so Chandler clearly fits the bill. They're going for it this year and really just need one more guy in their rotation to replace Terrence Ross. Chandler would take a big hit in fantasy with a trade while Norman Powell also takes a hit if the Raptors add a forward. Plus, don't forget Masai Ujiri was a former GM in Denver. Today, 7:57 am
  • Courtney Lee still not feeling well
Courtney Lee (illness) is still not feeling well on Thursday.

Advice: The good news is he was at shootaround and got shots up. He did not practice on Wednesday and should be considered questionable for tonight against the Cavs. If he can't go, we should see more Justin Holiday while Brandon Jennings will be next to Derrick Rose more often. Of course, the Knicks could be making a trade today. Today, 7:54 am
  • Suns interested in Mindaugas Kuzminskas?
According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Suns are interested in Mindaugas Kuzminskas.

Advice: The rookie forward has been a nice surprise for the Knicks, so New York isn't going to just give him away -- he's on a reasonable contract valued at $2.95 million in 2017-18 and $3.68 million in 2018-19. The Suns are possibly going to deal P.J. Tucker at the deadline, so a potential move to the Suns for Kuzminskas could be good for his fantasy value. Nothing is imminent and there are better stashes at the moment. Today, 6:20 am
  • Thunder aren't after Wilson Chandler anymore?
Oklahoma City no longer has Wilson Chandler on its radar, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.

Advice: That leaves the Rockets and Clippers as the favorites to land the combo forward. The Nuggets are likely going to trade at least one of their veteran forwards, Chandler or Danilo Gallinari, so there could also be another mystery team after Chandler. A trade would likely hurt his fantasy value. Yesterday, 3:12 pm
  • Omer Asik is doubtful for Thursday
Omer Asik (illness) is doubtful to play against the Rockets on Thursday.

Advice: He's not in the rotation anyway. The Pelicans would love to shed Asik's contract. Yesterday, 2:09 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari is questionable for Thursday
Danilo Gallinari (groin) is questionable to play against the Kings on Thursday.

Advice: He did go through some practice on Tuesday, so he's coming along from what looked like a scary injury earlier this month. Of course, there is a chance that Gallinari is on another team before Thursday's game. The sense around reporters is that the Nuggets will be dealing either Gallo or Wilson Chandler. A trade would likely hurt Gallo's fantasy value. Yesterday, 12:25 pm
  • Derrick Rose sits out Wednesday's scrimmage
Derrick Rose sat out the scrimmage portion of Wednesday's practice.

Advice: There's no injury to report here, so this is just going to add more fuel to the fire on the Rose trade speculation. The Knicks are reportedly actively shopping Rose, and he's received some interest around the league, with Tom Thibodeau being one of his more noted advocates. Rose hasn't been anything more than a late-round guy this season, and that's unlikely to change based on his jersey. His assist-to-turnover ratio is embarrassing, and he brings very little defensive stats to the table. Yesterday, 10:03 am
  • Courtney Lee, Noah don't practice Wednesday
Courtney Lee (illness) and Joakim Noah (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.

Advice: Head coach Jeff Hornacek said that Lee has been too ill to be able to fly in to New York to rejoin the team, but he's still expecting him to be available for Thursday's matchup with the Cavs. Noah, tweaked his hamstring just before the break and has already been ruled out for Thursday's game, so this isn't at all surprising. In the off-chance that Lee can't give it a go on Thursday, Justin Holiday and Brandon Jennings would likely pickup most of his minutes. Stay tuned. Yesterday, 9:48 am
  • Joel Embiid (knee) doubtful for weekend games
Joel Embiid (knee) practiced in full on Wednesday, but he's not yet been cleared by the 76ers medical staff and is being listed as doubtful for the 76ers' next two games.

Advice: Embiid being able to scrimmage is obviously a positive, but the fact the Philly is listing him as doubtful after having the entire All-Star break to rest up is a bit concerning. Embiid is dealing with a minor tear to his meniscus, and while it's not something that's expected to require surgery, the 76ers will be taking an extremely cautious approach with their franchise cornerstone. For what it's worth, head coach Brett Brown said Embiid looked "fluid" and "moved well" on Wednesday. Yesterday, 9:18 am
  • Afflalo (hamstring) goes through practice
Arron Afflalo (hamstring) was a full participant at Tuesday's practice.

Advice: In case you missed it, Afflalo left Wednesday's game early with right glute/hamstring stiffness, but he's had nearly a week off to get healthy. Afflalo could be moved at the deadline because his contract isn't guaranteed for the 2017-18 season, but he's not worth stashing in most formats. Tuesday, 6:40 pm
  • Wilson Chandler (illness) returns to practice
Wilson Chandler (illness) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Advice: He missed the two games prior to the All-Star break, but he's had several days off to rest up and should be ready to play on Thursday vs. the Kings. However, Chandler's name has been incredibly popular with the Feb. 23 deadline looming, so it's not a lock that he will be a Nugget much longer. The Rockets, Clippers and Thunder are all rumored destinations for the versatile forward. Tuesday, 5:50 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari, Faried go through practice
Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Kenneth Faried (ankle) went through practice on Tuesday.

Advice: The Nuggets are "hopeful" that they will be both be available for Thursday's game vs. the Kings. Gallo has missed the past eight games for the Nuggets, but his fantasy owners should be more concerned about whether or not he's traded at the deadline -- the Celtics, Rockets and Clippers are all rumored destinations. A move would more than likely hurt his value, but at least he's healthy again. Tuesday, 5:41 pm
  • HOU sends Corey Brewer and 1st rounder to LAL
The Rockets will send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to the Lakers in exchange for Lou Williams.

Advice: The Lakers are clearly rebuilding and probably have no use for Brewer, as this trade was all about securing another first-round pick. If Brewer isn't waived by the Lakers, he will provide some depth off the bench behind Brandon Ingram. He's shooting 23.4 percent from deep this season and is not a fantasy pickup. With Williams gone, it makes sense for fantasy owners to add Jordan Clarkson. D'Angelo Russell will also get a nice bump. Tuesday, 4:45 pm
  • Courtney Lee (illness) misses practice
Courtney Lee (illness) did not practice on Tuesday.

Advice: Lee still has another 48 hours before Thursday's game vs. the Cavaliers, but we should know more about his status after Wednesday's practice. If Lee is unable to play, Brandon Jennings and Justin Holiday will benefit the most. Through the first seven games of February, Lee averaged 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 triples. Tuesday, 4:34 pm
  • C.J. Watson (Achilles) headed for an MRI
C.J. Watson (sore right Achilles) was not able to practice on Tuesday and he's expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday.

Advice: This is concerning given that Watson had the entire All-Star break to rest up, but we'll wait for the MRI results before making any speculation on a timetable. Orlando's first game after the break comes Thursday vs. Portland, and if Watson can't give it a go, we could see Elfrid Payton back in the starting five with D.J. Augustin logging extended minutes off the bench. Stay tuned. Tuesday, 3:16 pm
  • Report: Thibodeau pushing for Rose trade
Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau is reportedly making a push to strike a deal for Derrick Rose.

Advice: Thibs reported infatuation with Rose is a bit strange, but it does sound like a trade between New York and Minnesota involving Rose and Ricky Rubio could be brewing. This is a situation we'll be monitoring closely as the deadline approaches. Tuesday, 3:02 pm
  • ESPN: Wolves inquire about Derrick Rose
According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Wolves have inquired about the availability of Derrick Rose.

Advice: The Wolves are "among several teams" to reach out to the Knicks regarding a potential Rose deal, but it's not clear what Minnesota is offering. Rose will be a free agent this summer, so the Knicks will have to keep their asking price down. Rose played seven seasons under coach Tom Thibodeau, so he should be able to hit the ground running if he was moved to Minnesota. However, unless Ricky Rubio is part of the proposed deal, Rose would lose a lot of fantasy value on the Wolves. Monday, 7:40 pm
  • Rockets interested in Wilson Chandler?
According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, the Rockets are another team to keep an eye on in pursuit of Wilson Chandler.

Advice: In case you missed it, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported on Sunday that the Clippers and Thunder are going to make a push for Chandler at the deadline. There were some rumors going around in early February that Chandler was unhappy with his role in Denver, so he could be available for the right price. A move to Houston wouldn't be ideal for Chandler's fantasy value because they are set at SF and PF with Trevor Ariza and Ryan Anderson, but it would give them a solid second unit that already includes Eric Gordon and Sam Dekker. This report is firmly in the rumor stage. Monday, 8:56 am
  • Report: Arron Afflalo is available
Arron Afflalo is available in trade talks as we approach the Feb. 23 deadline.

Advice: The Kings are in rebuild mode after moving on from DeMarcus Cousins, so it seems like a no-brainer for them to shop the veteran SG. Afflalo's contract for the 2017-18 season isn't guaranteed, so any team that has interest in acquiring him will likely view him as a one-season rental. To be clear, there's no reason to stash Afflalo in most formats. Monday, 6:52 am
  • Wilson Chandler linked to Clippers, Thunder
Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical is reporting that the Clippers and Thunder could make a push for Wilson Chandler at the deadline.

Advice: Both teams are in the market for a SF, as the Clippers were previously linked to Carmelo Anthony and the Thunder had their eyes on Rudy Gay (Achilles) before his injury. There was a report in early February that Chandler wanted a trade due to "inconsistency with his role," but his minutes have stabilized due to a lot of injuries in Denver. The Nuggets are committed to making a playoff push and won't just give Chandler away, but it's worth noting that Danilo Gallinari's name is also floating around the rumor mill. A trade could hurt Chandler or Gallinari, but it would open up minutes for impressive rookie Juancho Hernangomez. Sunday, 6:43 am
  • Celtics keeping an eye on Gallo?
The Celtics will "keep an eye on" Danilo Gallinari (groin) as a possible trade target, according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.

Advice: The Celtics are reportedly making their picks available for the right deal, including the potential No. 1 lottery spot with Brooklyn's pick. That pick likely isn't going to be in play for Gallinari, but young talent or future firsts could be in play on this deal. Gallo would take a big hit in big hit in Boston while Will Barton and Juancho Hernangomez could benefit. Saturday, 5:13 pm
  • Joel Embiid hoping to play right after break
Joel Embiid (knee) said he thinks he can "probably" play in the first game after the All-Star break.

Advice: In case you missed it, he had suffered a minor tear to his meniscus late last month. He said as long as the practices go well and he's not dealing with swelling or soreness, he expects to be out there against the Wizards on Feb. 24. Embiid said he's been getting through some workouts about every other day to help get him going, as well. This is encouraging news for The Process and perhaps he can get back out there, but obviously the training staff and front office will have their say on this matter. Friday, 1:08 pm
  • Derrick Rose viewed as a trade target
Multiple teams view Derrick Rose as a potential trade target, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.

Advice: While Carmelo Anthony rumors continue to swirl, ESPN reports that Rose is attracting some attention from other teams in need of point guard help. Rose has been putting up impressive numbers of late. Over the Knicks last four games, Rose is averaging 19.0 points (on 57.9 percent shooting), 5.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds. If he is traded, his fantasy value would likely take a hit, as Rose would probably see fewer minutes and a reduced usage rate on a new team. Friday, 7:38 am
  • Thaddeus Young (left wrist) out Thursday
Thaddeus Young (left wrist) will not play on Thursday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: This is his seventh game in a row on the shelf, but it makes sense for the Pacers to hold him though the All-Star break. He now gets a full week of rest and will hopefully be ready on Feb. 24 against the Grizzlies. Lavoy Allen (knee) is questionable, so Kevin Seraphin could see 25+ minutes tonight. Thursday, 8:43 am
  • Andre Roberson bounces back on Wednesday
Andre Roberson bounced back from an invisible game on Monday to score 10 points with seven rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: Anyone deploying Roberson will take it after Monday's dud, in which he committed two fouls, missed two shots, and recorded no other stats in 16 minutes of action. Roberson is averaging 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals in his past five outings, but owners shouldn't expect more than that level of defensive contribution. Wednesday, 9:41 pm
  • Derrick Rose hits 11-of-21 shots, scores 25
Derrick Rose stayed hot on Wednesday, hitting 11-of-21 shots for 25 points, but it wasn't enough to avoid a road loss to the Thunder.

Advice: Rose heads into the All-Star break on an upswing, having averaged 19.0 points on 33-of-57 shooting (57.9 percent) in his past four games. He rounded out tonight's line with seven assists, four rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes, which is all his owners can ask for. Wednesday, 9:40 pm
  • Arron Afflalo out for game, Barnes starts 3Q
Arron Afflalo is out for the remainder of the game on Wednesday with right glute/hamstring stiffness.

Advice: Matt Barnes started the second half for Afflalo. The team saying that Afflalo is only dealing with stiffness suggests the time off should help him get over this issue. It has also been called precautionary. Afflalo finished with four points and two assists in 16 minutes. Wednesday, 8:56 pm
  • Alexis Ajinca puts up a great line
Alexis Ajinca posted season-highs 10 boards and three steals against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, adding 12 points, three steals and two blocks in 35 minutes.

Advice: Surprising line of the night? It's his best game of the season and the timing is interesting. Ajinca reportedly wants a trade, so maybe this game will help the demand before the deadline. Terrence Jones (thumb) should be back after the break, so leave Ajinca on the wire. He's only a trade stash in super deep leagues. Wednesday, 8:46 pm
  • Corey Brewer starts 2nd half w/ Beverley out
Corey Brewer started the second half on Wednesday following Pat Beverley's exit with a groin injury.

Advice: Brewer finished with four points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes tonight. He might get a boost if Bev's injury doesn't heal during the break, but that's not a given. Even without Beverley to start the season, Brewer did nothing to recommend himself outside of very deep leagues. Wednesday, 8:33 pm
  • Brandan Wright cools off vs. Pelicans
Brandan Wright scored six points with one rebound in 12 minutes against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Advice: He had his breakout game on Monday with 17 points, but the old "against the Nets" grain of salt applies here. Wright still has more bounce to his game, so the Grizzlies have to be encouraged as he heads into the break. He could be a sneaky DFS play when the Grizzlies rest their bigs. Wednesday, 8:07 pm
  • C.J. Watson (sore Achilles) out for game
C.J. Watson (sore right Achilles) will not return on Wednesday against the Spurs.

Advice: It is just soreness for Watson and nothing really looked too bad during the game. He'll have the All-Star break to get right. Elfrid Payton started the third quarter for this game, but D.J. Augustin should play a lot with this game headed to garbage time. Watson finished with four points, three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 18 minutes. Wednesday, 5:23 pm
  • Alexis Ajinca starting again Wednesday
Alexis Ajinca will start again vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Advice: The Pelicans don't have many options with both Dante Cunningham (personal) and Terrence Jones (thumb) out of commission. Ajinca rarely does anything but foul and grab a few boards, even as a starter, so he's not a strong punt play against a tough defense tonight. Wednesday, 5:05 pm
  • Wilson Chandler (sick) out against the Wolves
Wilson Chandler (illness) is out against the Wolves on Wednesday night.

Advice: He was very unlikely to play, so he'll have the All-Star break to feel better. Chandler was also on the trade block, but that may have changed due to his new role at small forward. For tonight, we should get another heavy dose of Juan Hernangomez. Wednesday, 4:25 pm
  • Malone not expecting Wilson Chandler to play
Coach Mike Malone said he's not expecting Wilson Chandler (illness) to play against the Wolves on Wednesday.

Advice: That means Juan Hernangomez is the heavy favorite to start and will try to build off his career-high 27 points against the Warriors. Will Barton would also be in a great spot for tonight. We'll have another update on Chandler later this evening, but Hernangomez looks like a nice play tonight. Wednesday, 3:05 pm
  • Update: Wilson Chandler is now questionable
Updating a previous item, Wilson Chandler (illness) has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday against the Wolves.

Advice: He was ruled out earlier today, but apparently he is feeling better with this newest injury report update. If Chandler can't go, Juancho Hernangomez will likely join his bro, Willy, as a starter tonight. Will Barton and Gary Harris would also benefit while we could see some Mason Plumlee play a handful of PF minutes. Daily Slant: Even if Chandler is able to suit up, the Denver side still has plenty of appealing options in what should be one of the best games on the slate. Nikola Jokic is a lock and load option regardless of Chandler's status, but Jokic would only become more appealing if Chandler sits. Jameer Nelson and Will Barton both figure to continue seeing minutes in the mid-thirties, and while Juan Hernangomez isn't likely to play 40+ minutes again tonight, he should still see enough court time to pay off his modest DFS price tag. Wednesday, 12:50 pm
  • Chandler, Mudiay out Wednesday vs. Minnesota
Wilson Chandler (illness) and Emmanuel Mudiay (back) have been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Kenneth Faried (ankle), Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Darrell Arthur (knee) will also be on the sidelines on Wednesday night, so we could see Juan Hernangomez earn another start with Mason Plumlee logging extended minutes with the second unit. Hernangomez shined as a starter during Monday's win over Golden State, popping off for 27 points, 10 boards and six triple over 43 minutes, so he'll be on the DFS radar if he gets another start tonight. Wednesday, 10:33 am
  • Joel Embiid will not play in All-Star events
Joel Embiid (knee) will be in New Orleans with the 76ers medical staff for the All-Star festivities, but he will not participate in either of the events he was selected for.

Advice: Embiid was supposed to compete in the Rising Stars game, as well as the Skills Challenge, but unfortunately, this knee injury will preclude him from participating in those events. He's also not with the team in Boston for today's game against the Celtics, but the 76ers continue to suggest this lengthy absence for Embiid has been largely precautionary, so perhaps he gets back on the court after the break. Nerlens Noel will start tonight with Jahlil Okafor backing him up. Wednesday, 8:15 am
  • Report: DEN open to moving Danilo Gallinari
The Nuggets are reportedly open to moving Danilo Gallinari (groin) at the trade deadline.

Advice: Gallinari has reportedly received interest from the Clippers, Celtics and Rockets, and of those locations, Los Angeles and Houston would be the best potential landing spots. As for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Gallinari will not play, and with Wilson Chandler (illness) being listed as questionable, we could again see Juan Hernangomez in the starting lineup. To be clear, nothing is imminent on the trade front for The Rooster, but this is a situation we'll be monitoring closely. Wednesday, 7:53 am
  • Danilo Gallinari (groin) won't play Wednesday
Danilo Gallinari (groin) will not play Wednesday vs. Minnesota.

Advice: The Nuggets are smartly playing it safe and keeping Gallo out through the All-Star break, which will give him another full week to heal. With Kenneth Faried (ankle) and Darrell Arthur (knee) already ruled out, and Wilson Chandler (illness) questionable, Juancho Hernangomez and Will Barton will see all the minutes they can handle on Wednesday. Hernangomez, who exploded for 27 points, six 3-pointers and 10 rebounds in 43 minutes on Monday, will be a very popular DFS play on Wednesday night. Tuesday, 2:07 pm
  • Wilson Chandler, Mudiay questionable vs. MIN
Wilson Chandler (illness) and Emmanuel Mudiay (back) are questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Chandler was withheld from Monday's win over the Warriors due to the illness, but we should have a better idea on his status following Wednesday morning's shootaround. The same goes for Mudiay. If Chandler can get back to the court Wednesday night, he could be forced into heavy minutes with Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Kenneth Faried (ankle) out. Stay tuned. Tuesday, 1:55 pm
  • Thaddeus Young (wrist) out Wednesday vs. CLE
Thaddeus Young (left wrist) will not play Wednesday vs. the Cavs.

Advice: Young has spent the past six games on the sidelines, and with Wednesday being the first of a back-to-back set, the Pacers may elect to just keep Young out until after the All-Star break. Lavoy Allen (knee) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday, and if he's out, that would result in Kevin Seraphin earning another start with Paul George getting all the burn he can handle. Stay tuned. Tuesday, 12:50 pm
  • Embiid (knee) injury not expected to linger
Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo said that he does not believe Joel Embiid's knee injury will linger long-term but that Embiid will not return to the court until he’s fully free of all symptoms.

Advice: "If the injury presents as asymptomatic, and he can show he’s healthy and able to play basketball, there’s no reason he shouldn’t play," Colangelo said. "I don’t think there’s any potential long-term effects. This is not thought to be a severe injury. It’s thought to be a complicated injury." It is highly unlikely Embiid will play in the Sixers final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday. We will likely have to wait until early next week for a thorough update on Embiid's knee and will then find out how soon we can expect to see him back in action. Tuesday, 6:39 am
  • Alexis Ajinca scores five points in start
Alexis Ajinca moved into the starting lineup on Monday vs. the Suns, scoring five points on 2-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and one steal.

Advice: As per usual, Ajinca racked up four fouls in 19 minutes and had a rough outing. Terrence Jones (thumb) and Dante Cunningham (personal) could return as soon as Wednesday vs. the Grizzlies, but Ajinca wouldn't be worth a pickup even if we learned that Jones and Cunningham will miss more time. Monday, 10:31 pm
  • Andre Roberson goes scoreless in 16 mins
Andre Roberson failed to score in 16 minutes of action vs. the Wizards on Monday.

Advice: After averaging 9.8 points, 10.0 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 turnovers in his previous four games, Roberson burned any fantasy owners who took a flier on him this week. He missed two shots from the field and didn't record a single stat besides two fouls. It's almost impossible to not drop him after a night like this, especially outside of deeper leagues. He should be better against the Knicks on Wednesday, but his upside is low anyways. Monday, 8:23 pm
  • Brandan Wright scores season-high 17 points
Brandan Wright scored a season-high 17 points with three rebounds and an assist in 21 minutes in Monday's victory over the Nets.

Advice: Wright was 7-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-3 from the charity stripe. He looked impressively spry and athletic on Monday. However, his fantasy upside is limited. As long as Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph remain healthy, it will be difficult for Wright to see enough minutes and scoring opportunities to make a consistent impact. Monday, 7:39 pm
  • C.J. Watson quiet in 17 minutes Monday
C.J. Watson was quiet in another start on Monday, finishing a road victory with five points on 2-of-6 shooting, one 3-pointer and one assist in 17 minutes.

Advice: Elfrid Payton logged 31 minutes off the bench and D.J. Augustin played 15 minutes. Watson's starting gig is tenuous, given Frank Vogel's penchant for mixing things up, and he's only worth considering in very deep leagues. Monday, 7:21 pm
  • Alexis Ajinca starting next to Anthony Davis
Alexis Ajinca is starting next to Anthony Davis on Monday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Terrence Jones (thumb) and Dante Cunningham (personal) are both out, so this will give the Pelicans a chance to showcase Ajinca for a potential trade. He's prone to foul trouble and probably isn't going to see a heavy workload anyways, so there's no reason to stream him in most leagues. We should see more of Donatas Motiejunas tonight. • Thaddeus Young (left wrist) out Monday vs. SA
Thaddeus Young (sprained left wrist) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: Monday will mark Young's sixth straight game on the sidelines, with the Pacers having a back-to-back set after Monday's game, head coach Nate McMillan acknowledged that he doesn't anticipate Young returning to the court prior to the All-Star break. Lavoy Allen will continue to start in his absence, but he's not doing enough to be considered a viable target in most settings. Feb 13, 12:32 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari (groin) eyed by TOR & LAC?
The Raptors and Clippers are "monitoring" Danilo Gallinari (groin) as the trade deadline approaches, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: The Nuggets reportedly expect Gallo to opt for free agency this summer, bypassing a $16.1 million player option, so they might try to deal him before that happens. They're negotiating from a position of weakness, however, so it's unclear how much they could extract for the oft-injured veteran. To be clear, this is firmly in the 'rumor' stage. Feb 12, 9:47 pm
  • Vogel: Magic starting lineup in flux again?
Magic coach Frank Vogel suggested that he might tweak his starting lineup again after Saturday's loss to the Mavericks.

Advice: "The bench unit the last two games has come in and created big deficits," Vogel said. "We went away from it early tonight, and it didn’t work. Coming back to the starters didn’t work. Maybe that group’s not a good fit, so we have to shuffle the deck again and figure it out again." C.J. Watson and Mario Hezonja are the most obvious candidates to be benched, but anything is possible with Vogel at the helm. Feb 12, 9:29 pm
