  • Kent Bazemore may be heating up again
Kent Bazemore kept it going during a win over the Knicks on Monday, scoring 16 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: He didn't shoot the ball well, making just 5-of-13 from the field. Bazemore is playing with more confidence these days and had a big 24-point effort on Sunday. Theoretically, he should have seen a bump in productivity with Kyle Korver gone and it wasn't happening until recently. Maybe now he gets it going, so go ahead and pick him up after his breakout 2015-16 season. Rotoworld.com 21 minutes ago
  • Wilson Chandler will come off the bench Mon
Wilson Chandler will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Kenneth Faried will get the start in what is likely a matchup based move, but Chandler tends to get his numbers regardless of how he enters the game, so his value won't take much of a hit with the second unit. Feel free to get him active for a favorable matchup with the Magic. Rotoworld.com 25 minutes ago
  • Mike Dunleavy doesn't score
Mike Dunleavy did not score in 19 minutes against the Knicks on Monday, adding three rebounds and one steal.

Advice: The minutes were there and he's basically slid right into Kyle Korver's role. Dunleavy is coming off an impressive 20-point on Sunday, but he's really just worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com 26 minutes ago
  • Dennis Schroder close out, scores 28 points
Dennis Schroder bounced back against the Knicks on Monday during a 108-107 win, scoring 28 points with three rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: This was a huge game for him. Schroder has plenty of blemishes in his time in MSG. He was a DNP-CD last year and he also didn't close out in a previous game this season. Schroder also didn't close out in the previous two games, but he did today and hit a massive 3-pointer to get the win. After a brief drop off, Schroder looks like he's back. Rotoworld.com 29 minutes ago
  • Harris, Gallinari starting Monday vs. Magic
Gary Harris (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) will be in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Magic.

Advice: They were both listed as probable so no surprises here. Emmanuel Mudiay, Kenneth Faried and Nikola Jokic will join them in the starting five with Wilson Chandler heading to the bench. Feel free to get Harris and The Rooster active. Rotoworld.com 33 minutes ago
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 20 points vs. NY
Tim Hardaway scored 20 points in a start against the Knicks on Monday, adding three rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Revenge game? Hardaway Jr.'s team got a big win at MSG to make them 9-1 in their last 10. Even though he may not start going forward, Hardaway Jr. has been terrific since the Kyle Korver trade. While he may be traded as a restricted free agent this summer, he has to be owned in standard leagues with his recent play. Rotoworld.com 37 minutes ago
  • Brandon Jennings not happy about changes
Brandon Jennings wasn't happy about the Knicks making lineup changes on Monday.

Advice: "'Every day is something new, you never know if you're going to play," Jennings said. Uh oh. Jennings was also in a bad mood when he and Mindaugas Kuzminskas totally whiffed on a switch to leave Malcolm Delaney wide open for a jumper. Jennings may be feeling passed over for the Knicks starting Ron Baker over him here, but he's not worth adding in most leagues anyway. Rotoworld.com 46 minutes ago
  • Barton, Harris, Gallinari expected to play
Will Barton (illness), Gary Harris (right groin soreness) and Danilo Gallinari (left ankle soreness) are all expected to play Monday vs. the Magic.

Advice: All these guys are probable, so owners can go ahead and plug them into their starting lineups with confidence. Rotoworld.com 54 minutes ago
  • Derrick Rose scores 18 points vs. ATL
Derrick Rose scored 18 points with four rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block and six turnovers in 33 minutes against the Hawks on Monday.

Advice: He had a chance to win the game on the last possession, but he couldn't get a layup to fall with Paul Millsap getting a block at the rim against him. Although, he may have been fouled and it wasn't called. The Knicks clearly won't be penalizing Rose on the court for his no-call, no-show move last week with his minutes also on par with 31.8 per game since then. He'll be a low-end guy in standard leagues, but he is trending up slightly. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:48 pm
  • Evan Fournier (heel) out Monday vs. Denver
Evan Fournier (heel) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Nuggets, as expected.

Advice: He's currently without an official timetable to return, and it sounds like there's a good chance he'll spend the entire week on the sidelines. Jodie Meeks will draw the start in his place, and Elfrid Payton, Aaron Gordon, Serge Ibaka and Nikola Vucevic will join him in the starting five. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:47 pm
  • Courtney Lee scores seven off bench
Courtney Lee scored seven points off the bench with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer against the Hawks on Monday.

Advice: After the game, Lee said he found out he was benched just before the game. In a halftime interview, Carmelo Anthony said Lee handled the benching like a pro and also made it seem like it was more of an experiment. Lee has also really fallen off as a shooter lately, making just 2-of-15 from deep in his last four -- he was leading the NBA in 3-point percentage last month. Lee is only a 16-team guy for now. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:33 pm
  • Sergio Rodriguez will start Monday vs. Bucks
Sergio Rodriguez will return to the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with Milwaukee, with T.J. McConnell (wrist) unavailable.

Advice: With McConnell on the sidelines, Rodriguez may be able to see his minutes closer to the 30-minute mark, although head coach Brett Brown may want to get an extended look at Chasson Randle who is in the final week of his 10-day contract. Still, Rodriguez is someone to consider throwing out there as a streamer for those looking for a boost in the assist category. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:09 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out next 4 games
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) will miss at least the next four games for the Pacers.

Advice: Stuckey has suited up for just 17 of Indiana's 42 games this season, and there's no scenario out there where he would warrant a hold. Monte Ellis and C.J. Miles will continue to earn minutes in the 20s off the Pacers' bench, and Miles is worth a look for deep league GMs looking for some 3-point help. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:52 am
  • McConnell (wrist) w/out timetable to return
T.J. McConnell (wrist) is currently without an official timetable to return.

Advice: The only positive here is that the MRI results came back negative, but with the way Philly tends to handle injuries, McConnell could be looking at a lengthy absence here. Sergio Rodriguez will likely move back into the starting five, and with McConnell on the sidelines, he may be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s. He's worth a speculative add in deep leagues for those looking for an assist specialist. McConnell could be a tough guy to hang onto in standard leagues without an IR-spot. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:42 am
  • Patty Mills (calf) plans to play Tuesday
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) said that he's planning on playing vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

Advice: He said he's been experiencing tightness in his calf for a while, so that might explain his recent dip in production. Assuming he's good to go for Tuesday, Mills should see his normal workload of minutes in the 20s. Give him a look if you need to stream a couple 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:02 am
  • Allen Crabbe will return to the bench Monday
Allen Crabbe will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Moe Harkless (calf) is back in the starting lineup, so Crabbe's run as a starter has concluded. That being said, Crabbe has actually been better as a reserve this season, so the demotion to the second unit shouldn't have a significant impact on his value. Still, he's only worth owning as a deep league 3-point specialist. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:58 am
  • Revenge: Tim Hardaway Jr. will start vs. NYK
Tim Hardaway Jr. will move into the starting lineup for Monday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Revenge game! Dwight Howard is resting, so the Hawks are going to go small with Paul Millsap at center. THJ was already trending up before this news with averages of 16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 3.0 triples per game in January, so give him a look if those numbers mesh well with your fantasy team. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:50 am
  • Courtney Lee will come off the bench
Courtney Lee will come off the bench on Monday vs. Atlanta.

Advice: The Knicks have been shredded on defense all season, so they're going to take their best wing defender out of the lineup. Sounds about right. Lee was a low-end asset to own before this news, so feel free to drop him for a hot free agent. With that said, he should still see a healthy dose of minutes Monday. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:27 am
  • Lance Thomas (orbital fracture) out Monday
Lance Thomas (left orbital fracture) will not play on Monday vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Thomas has cleared the concussion protocol, but he will have to get fitted for a mask to protect his orbital fracture and he's considered to be out indefinitely. Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) is a game-time call and will slide back into the starting lineup if he's cleared, but Mindaugas Kuzminskas is looking at a larger role off the bench in the short term and is worth keeping an eye on in deeper formats. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:25 am
  • T.J. McConnell (wrist) ruled out for Monday
T.J. McConnell (wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has a right wrist sprain, but he should be considered day-to-day barring another update. McConnell has thrived as the starting PG, so stick with him unless we learn that he will miss additional time. Sergio Rodriguez will likely move back into the starting lineup, but the 76ers will probably want to get an extended look at Chasson Randle before his 10-day contract expires later this week. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:44 am
  • Zach LaVine returned to action on Sunday January 15. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:19 am
  • Isaiah Whitehead returned to action on Sunday January 15. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:19 am
  • D'Angelo Russell recovers, scores 20 points
D'Angelo Russell bounced back on Sunday with 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: Russell's playing time was actually down tonight, tying his lowest mark since Dec. 27, but it was nice to see him knocking down some shots -- in his previous three games, he averaged just 7.7 points on 9-of-34 shooting (26.5 percent). He has terrific breakout potential, and his recent shooting slump presented an ideal buy-low situation. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:11 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 23 points in win
Victor Oladipo hit 7-of-14 shots for 23 points with two assists, one rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes on Sunday vs. the Kings.

Advice: This marked the first time he has a 20-point game since Nov. 30. However, Oladipo is having a nice month, averaging 34.3 minutes, 17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 treys per game in January. He's becoming more consistent as the season progresses, which is a good sign for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
  • Russell Westbrook triple-doubles vs. Kings
Russell Westbrook scored 36 points, with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in Sunday’s 122-118 victory over the Kings.

Advice: He shot the ball well today, hitting 11-of-21 field goals and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, while recording his 20th triple-double of the season. He does have a tendency to turn the ball over a lot, but makes up for it by stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis. He remains the league’s leader with a 41.1 percent usage rate. The Thunder are 16-4 whenever Westbrook has triple-doubled this season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:52 pm
  • Ish Smith back in Pistons' rotation Sunday
Ish Smith was back in the Pistons' rotation on Sunday, coming off the bench for six points on 3-of-7 shooting, six assists, two assists and one rebound in 30 minutes.

Advice: Stan Van Gundy said he wanted to give Smith a game off "to sit and recalibrate," though it's not clear what the veteran guard was 'recalibrating' from in the first place. Smith would only be worth considering if Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's shoulder injury proves to be a long-term issue. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:39 pm
  • Reggie Bullock quiet as fill-in starter
Reggie Bullock started for the short-handed Pistons on Sunday, but he committed five fouls in 29 minutes to finish with four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) and Jon Leuer (knee) were both out tonight, and the Pistons didn't want to go big with Aron Baynes in a matchup vs. the Lakers. Bullock's playing time was robust, considering his foul trouble, and he's just a short-term option in deeper leagues while KCP is out of commission. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:35 pm
  • Tony Allen solid in 33 minutes Sunday
Tony Allen chipped in across the board on Sunday with four points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 33 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies are now 8-13 in games they've trailed at halftime this season, which isn't shocking for a team that relies on their defense to win games. The veteran Allen isn't an obvious fantasy option, but he's worth owning with averages of 5.5 boards, 1.8 steals, and 10.1 points per game on 49.0 percent shooting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returns, plays 15 min
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) returned from a one-game absence on Sunday with six points, four assists, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Whitehead came off the bench behind Spencer Dinwiddie, who chipped in eight dimes in 24 minutes as a starter. Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been sidelined for most of the season and his return date is still something of a mystery, but it's hard to trust either Whitehead or Dinwiddie while they're pitched in a position battle. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:20 pm
  • Dennis Schroder lousy in 24 minutes vs. Bucks
Dennis Schroder had a game to forget on Sunday, committing five turnovers with six points, six assists and two rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

Advice: This marks Schroder's second straight dud, and it's not encouraging that backup PG Malcolm Delaney has been great in both of those games. The Hawks have been streaking lately and coach Mike Budenholzer isn't afraid to ride the hot hand, but there's no cause for panic here. Schroder should get back on track in a matchup vs. Derrick Rose and the Knicks on Monday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:55 pm
  • Mike Dunleavy scores season-high 20 points
Mike Dunleavy scored a season-high 20 points vs. the Bucks on Sunday, making 6-of-10 shots with four 3-pointers, three rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 23 minutes.

Advice: Dunleavy also went 4-of-5 at the FT line, but he had a few things working in his favor tonight -- the Hawks played a lot of wing-heavy lineups against a relatively small Bucks team, and more minutes were available with Mike Muscala injuring his ankle after one minute of action. We're very skeptical of Dunleavy, who is only worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:54 pm
  • Kent Bazemore scores team-high 24 points
Kent Bazemore scored a team-high 24 points in 28 minutes during Sunday's home win, making 8-of-13 FGs and 4-of-5 FTs with two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Advice: Four of Bazemore's makes came from downtown and this is the first time he's scored 20 points since Nov. 30, so it was a welcome if wholly unexpected outburst. His shot has been awful all season, at a career-low 36.5 percent, and we'll need to see him sustain some efficiency before fully buying in. That said, Bazemore has enough proven upside to be worth a look if you need a swingman. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:53 pm
  • Lance Thomas w/ facial fracture, doubtful Mon
Lance Thomas has been diagnosed with a left orbital fracture and concussion-like symptoms, and he's doubtful to play on Monday.

Advice: The fractured bone is near Thomas' left cheek, and with concussion symptoms it would be shocking to see him in uniform for Monday's game. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Justin Holiday should pick up minutes in Thomas' probable absence, and Holiday looked very good on Sunday with 17 points, three 3-pointers and three boards off the bench. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:05 pm
  • Derrick Rose hits 6-of-12 shots for 16 points
Derrick Rose scored 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting Sunday, to go with two rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 29 minutes.

Advice: This is pretty much your prototypical Rose-line with double-digit scoring and not much else. Rose's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.83 is one of the worst in the league amongst starting point guards, and his lackluster contributions in assists (4.4), steals (0.7) and triples (0.3) has him sitting on a late-round evaluation on the year. He's a much more attractive guy to own in points formats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:00 pm
  • Zach LaVine scores 11 points w/ three treys
Zach LaVine (hip) scored 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting in his return from a two-game absence on Sunday, adding three 3-pointers, five boards, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 34 minutes.

Advice: LaVine looked a bit rusty out there, and he didn't connect on any of his attempts from inside the arc, but the heavy minutes would suggest that he'll be just fine for Tuesday's game in San Antonio. LaVine popped off for 25 points with four triples in his last game against the Spurs, so his owners can expect a bounce-back performance. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm
  • Lance Thomas (head) will not return Sunday
Lance Thomas (head) will not return to Sunday's game against the Raptors.

Advice: With both Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) and Thomas on the sidelines, Mindaugas Kuzminskas is going to see some increased opportunity while Carmelo Anthony will likely be forced into heavy minutes as he and Derrick Rose take turns dominating the offense. For now, we'll consider Thomas questionable for Monday's matchup with the Hawks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:53 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) available to play
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Rockets.

Advice: He could start, which would send Spencer Dinwiddie back to the bench, but even as a starter Whitehead isn't worth a roster spot in almost any setting. Dinwiddie is also a non-option in most leagues regardless of how he enters the game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:45 pm
  • Lance Thomas (head) questionable to return
Lance Thomas took an elbow to the face via Jonas Valanciunas on Sunday, and he is questionable to return.

Advice: Thomas needed to be helped off the floor, and there's a chance he may have suffered a concussion. We should have more info soon, but if he's unable to get back out there tonight, Mindaugas Kuzminskas will see a healthy heaping of minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 12:23 pm
  • Gary Harris, Gallinari probable for Monday
Gary Harris (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) are probable to play Monday vs. the Magic.

Advice: Harris got back to the court following a one-game stint on the sidelines on Thursday, and Gallinari has been playing through his ankle soreness, so both these guys should be in uniform on Monday night. Check back for official confirmation following Monday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:59 am
  • Reggie Bullock will start Sunday vs. Lakers
Reggie Bullock will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Lakers, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) unavailable.

Advice: This likely means that Aron Baynes is headed back to the bench. Bullock is a solid defender, but a pretty low usage rate guy, so he's not all that attractive of an option despite the increased opportunity as a starter. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:39 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) is active for Sunday
Zach LaVine (hip) is active for Sunday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: He will be returning from a two-game absence, but there's no word of any restrictions. LaVine made it though warmups just fine and is safe to deploy in season-long leagues. We'll let you know how he looks after the game. Brandon Rush will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:05 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) is a game-time call
Zach LaVine (hip) is a game-time call vs. the Mavericks on Sunday.

Advice: He's going to go through warmups and will play if his hip feels good according to coach Tom Thibodeau. If LaVine is able to return from a two-game absence, Brandon Rush will shift back to the bench. LaVine was also a game-time on Friday vs. the Thunder, so don't consider him as a lock to play. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:41 am
  • Walton wants Russell to keep shooting
Lakers coach Luke Walton wants D'Angelo Russell to keep being aggressive despite his recent shooting slump.

Advice: "If it’s a good shot and if his defender is under him, I want him shooting those 3s," Walton said. "I want him being aggressive. I’d rather him err on being the side of being too aggressive than too cautious at this point. He knows that." Russell has been held to single-digit points in each of his last three games on a combined 9-of-34 shooting, but Walton is confident that the PG will turn things around. Russell is a nice buy-low player and will look to get back on track vs. the Pistons on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:05 am
  • Evan Fournier doesn't have a timetable
Evan Fournier (heel, foot) doesn't currently have a timetable to return.

Advice: "I was compensating a lot, so now it’s more than just the heel," Fournier said. "It’s just the bottom of the foot, period. It’s frustrating, man. I could probably keep playing like this, but it’s not getting any better and I’m playing [at] like 60 percent [of my ability]." This is the same injury that sidelined him for five games in a row earlier in the season, so don't expect him to play on Monday vs. the Nuggets or Wednesday vs. the Pelicans. His owners just need to hold onto him for now, while Jodie Meeks is worth a look if you need a short-term boost in triples and points. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:24 am
  • T.J. McConnell takes the loss as starter
T.J. McConnell scored four points with three rebounds, six assists, one steal and one turnover against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: He did jam his right wrist in the second half, but he stayed in the game. It's pretty obvious Joel Embiid makes T.J. McConnell a heck of a lot better. Despite McConnell suffering just his second loss as a starter on the year, he still has his starting job locked up. Keep him on your roster in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:24 pm
  • Evan Fournier (foot) could miss road trip
Evan Fournier (foot, heel) could miss the remainder of the Magic's road trip due to the concern of his foot and heel injuries.

Advice: On top of being out Saturday, he could be out Monday and Wednesday. The interesting thing here is that it sounds like he has problems in two different areas on his right foot. His heel injury was a problem at the end of last month and cost him five games, so he could be looking at a similar amount of time off due to the aggravation. In the meantime, go ahead and add Jodie Meeks in competitive leagues for short-term value. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:09 pm
  • Evan Fournier (foot) out, Jodie Meeks starts
Evan Fournier (foot) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday and Jodie Meeks will start in his place.

Advice: Fournier is still battling through his heel injury from earlier this month and he just hasn't been right. The Magic are wisely going to rest him up to get him right, and hopefully he should be OK for Monday against the Nuggets. Meeks is worth a look as insurance in deep leagues while Mario Hezonja is on the radar in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:34 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell puts up a dud against CP3
D'Angelo Russell made 1-of-7 from the field for five points with six rebounds, five assists and two turnovers in 28 minutes during a blowout 113-97 loss to the Clippers on Saturday.

Advice: It's not fun to go against Chris Paul. Russell may have ice in his veins, but he also has ice on his jumper, making only 1-of-11 from deep in his last three. The Lakers could keep an eye on his knee injury and he did jam his finger in practice on Wednesday, so maybe that's part of it. We still like him as a buy-low player. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:14 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) probable for Sunday
Isaiah Whitehead (sprained left knee) is probable for Sunday against the Rockets.

Advice: It looks like he only needs one game off due to his injury from Thursday night. Whitehead should go back to his starting role and be looking at minutes in the mid 20s. Spencer Dinwiddie will seem similar playing time while Randy Foye could get bumped out of the rotation. This is a situation to avoid for most fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:05 pm
  • Patty Mills (left calf) will not play vs. PHX
Patty Mills (left calf tightness) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: Mills doesn't have any noteworthy calf issues in his career, so this is something new. The Spurs can rest him today to give him four full days off before their game on Tuesday against the Wolves. With Dejounte Murray also out, the Spurs will have to be creative with their backup point guard. It would likely be Manu Ginobili while Tony Parker could get a few extra minutes in a great matchup tonight. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:06 pm
  • Evan Fournier (foot) questionable vs. Jazz
Evan Fournier (sore right foot) is questionable to play against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: He really doesn't look right since returning from his heel injury. In those five games, Fournier averaged 11.8 points, 3.6 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 treys on 36.1 percent from the field. On a back-to-back set, it makes a lot of sense to just rest him before a revenge game in Denver on Monday. If he is out, Jodie Meeks would be thrust into the starting lineup while Mario Hezonja could add to his renewed role in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 11:19 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) questionable for Sunday
Zach LaVine (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Mavs.

Advice: LaVine has missed each of the Wolves last two games, but appears to be inching closer to a return. Brandon Rush has started in place of LaVine and has played surprisingly well. Rush scored 12 points on Wednesday and then backed that up with 11 points and four rebounds in a team-high 40 minutes on Friday. Still, Rush would be a risky DFS punt on Sunday, even if LaVine does not play. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 11:11 am
  • Rivalry between Thomas & Schroder heats up
The rivalry between Dennis Schroder and Isaiah Thomas escalated during the Celtics victory over the Hawks on Friday night.

Advice: Schroder played poorly on Saturday (four points, three rebounds, three assists) while Thomas excelled (28 points, four rebounds, nine assists) and hit the game-winner. Afterward, Schroder said: "If he thinks that he got to curse at my mom or say some dumb stuff about my family, that has nothing to do with basketball. That’s his choice. I’ve got too much class for that. Next one, we are going to get it." Mark down Feb. 27 on your calendars, as that's the next time the C's and Hawks meet up. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:45 am
  • Tony Allen scores 22 points in a big win
Tony Allen scored a season-high 22 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal and three turnovers in 25 minutes against the Rockets during a 110-105 win.

Advice: He made his first eight attempts and finished 9-of-10 in another massive win for the Grizzlies. They were down 16 on the road in this game and now have five wins against the Warriors, Cavs and Rockets combined on the year. Mike Conley was effective as per usual with 17 points, six rebounds, nine assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:41 pm
  • Reggie Bullock returns from 25-game absence
Reggie Bullock returned from a 25-game absence on Friday vs. the Jazz and scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shoulder) was out and the game was a blowout, but it was still a surprise to see Bullock log a season-high 26 minutes right out of the gate. Coach Stan Van Gundy loves him and the Pistons don't have great depth, so maybe he earns some minutes going forward. Most fantasy owners can ignore him for now. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:28 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores seven points in start
Allen Crabbe started in place of Moe Harkless (calf) on Friday vs. the Magic and scored seven points on 3-of-10 shooting with three boards, two assists, one steal and one triple in 33 minutes.

Advice: When he starts he has to compete for touches with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, so it's not a huge surprise that he averages more points per game (11.0) as a reserve than when he starts (10.1). Harkless is day-to-day, so leave Crabbe on the wire outside of deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:17 pm
  • Mike Dunleavy gets late minutes
Mike Dunleavy scored six points in his Hawks debut on Friday, adding five rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 15 minutes against the Celtics.

Advice: He actually closed this game out and hit a clutch trey. Still, we're not totally sold Dunleavy will stay on the team and get consistent run, so he's only an add in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:39 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 23 points
Tim Hardway Jr. scored 23 points with two rebounds, two assists, one block, three steals and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

Advice: We have a four-game sample on Hardaway post-Kyle Korver and it's going well. In those four, he averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.3 treys. That's good enough to make him a top-50 player in that span. Yeah, he won't be this good, but he has to be picked up in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:37 pm
  • Dennis Schroder gets benched late
Dennis Schroder played just 23 minutes against the Celtics on Friday with four points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: He did not close this game out in what was obviously his worst game in a long time. We've seen Schroder getting in coach Mike Budenholzer's doghouse before, but it hasn't happened too much this season. Perhaps he was just worked up based on his comments about Isaiah Thomas before the game because of an incident last year. "If he don’t slap me, nothing is going to happen," he said. Expect him to bounce back on Sunday against the Bucks. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:27 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops 19th triple-double
Russell Westbrook dropped his 19th triple-double of the season during a 96-86 loss to the Wolves on Friday, scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: This was actually a brutal game for him, making just 7-of-23 from the field and turning it over 10 times to give him the bad quad-double. Westbrook was asked about turning in his 19th triple-double to set a record for the most in a season since the merger. "It don't mean [expletive]. We lost," Westbrook said. For what it's worth, the Thunder are 15-4 when Westy drops a triple-double this season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:52 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 19 points vs. MIN
Victor Oladipo scored 19 points with five rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Wolves on Friday.

Advice: We're still waiting for him to add the other stats to go with some scoring, but he's trending up. In his previous January games, Oladipo averaged 16.2 points, 3.8 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.7 treys on 44.2 percent from the field. There's still a chance to buy low. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:46 pm
  • Allen Crabbe will start for Harkless (calf)
Allen Crabbe will start in place of Moe Harkless (calf) on Friday vs. the Magic.

Advice: Barring a surprise, Harkless is likely day-to-day so there's no real need to add in Crabbe in standard leagues. In five previous starts this season, Crabbe averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.8 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:10 pm
  • Sergio Rodriguez scores 11 in 16 minutes
Sergio Rodriguez scored 11 points with one rebound, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: T.J. McConnell clearly has the starting job locked up and looks like he'll get 30-33 minutes most nights, so Rodriguez will be picking up the scraps. If you haven't dropped him yet in a standard league, go for it. He may have value in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:03 pm
  • T.J. McConnell looks great again
T.J. McConnell scored four points with three rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 31 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: Do you know who has a better winning percentage as a starting point guard than Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry or really anyone with a handful of starts this year? You bet, it's T.J. McConnell. He has his job locked up with his 6-1 record and should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:59 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) will be inactive on Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) will be inactive on Friday against the Thunder.

Advice: They ruled him out somewhat early for his game-time decision, so he could miss the next game on Sunday against the Mavs. The matchup is a little different today for the Wolves because the Thunder obviously don't shoot anywhere close to as many threes as the Rockets, but Brandon Rush should still get some heavy run. Shabazz Muhammad has also stepped up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:03 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) ruled out Friday
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) will not play Friday vs. Toronto.

Advice: Whitehead hurt his left knee in Thursday's game vs. New Orleans. He will have the knee evaluated in New York on Saturday. The Nets next game is Sunday vs. Houston. We should have an update after Whitehead meets with team doctors. Spencer Dinwiddie will start at point guard for Brooklyn on Friday night. Sean Kilpatrick will also see an uptick in minutes off the bench and is the preferable streaming option and DFS play. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:20 pm
  • Reggie Bullock unlikely to play
Reggie Bullock (personal) is unlikely to play on Friday against the Jazz.

Advice: He is back with the team and there is a chance he plays. If he doesn't, Stanley Johnson would be looking at big minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:49 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead (knee) questionable Friday
Isaiah Whitehead (knee) is questionable for Friday's game vs. Toronto.

Advice: Whitehead injured his knee in a collision with Jrue Holiday on Thursday night and was unable to return to the game. Jeremy Lin has already been ruled out on Friday. If Whitehead does not play, Sean Kilpatrick and Spencer Dinwiddie will see additional minutes at the point. Kilpatrick would be the preferred choice as a cheap DFS play, as he has scored in double-figures in four of Brooklyn's last five games. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:54 am
  • Zach LaVine (hip) a game-time decision Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) said "I don't know" when he asked after shootaround if he would play Friday night vs. OKC.

Advice: Here is the full quote from LaVine: "I don't know. Want to make sure I'm ok... Make sure I'm 100 percent." It seems he is headed in the right direction, but it would be sheer speculation to try and predict if he will return on Friday night. It will come down to a game-time decision. For wat it's worth, he is listed as questionable. If LaVine can't play, Brandon Rush, Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica should see an uptick in minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:16 am
  • Derrick Rose scores 17 points in win vs. CHI
Derrick Rose scored 17 points with three assists and four rebounds in 34 minutes on Thursday night against the Bulls.

Advice: Rose played well against his former team and has scored 42 points in the last two game since returning from an unexcused absence to attend a family matter. It appears that things are back to normal for the Knicks’ backcourt and Rose can be deployed as per usual. New York’s next game is on Sunday against the Raptors, who are giving up the sixth most points per game and the highest field goal percentage to opposing point guards. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:16 pm
  • Lance Thomas struggles in start vs. Bulls
Lance Thomas hit 2-of-9 shots for four points with two rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes on Thursday against the Bulls.

Advice: Thomas got the start for the injured Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles), but was inefficient and outplayed but Mindaugas Kuzminskas. If Porzingis remains sidelined, Thomas will continue to play significant minutes, but can be left on the waivers in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:06 pm
  • Reggie Bullock expected back w/ team
Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Reggie Bullock (personal) will rejoin the Pistons on Friday in Salt Lake City.

Advice: Bullock who has missed the last 25 games with a torn meniscus, was attending a family matter and is expected to be back with the team on Friday. He can be left on waivers, as he will likely not have a big role in the Pistons rotation. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:30 pm
  • Isaiah Whtehead hurts knee, questionable
Isaiah Whitehead left Thursday's game after banging knees with Jrue Holiday and is questionable to return.

Advice: It's being called a sprained left knee, but it didn't look bad on replays. If he's unable to return he'll likely be day-to-day and finish with four points and one assist on 2-of-7 shooting. And if he's going to miss any time, Sean Kilpatrick will see a bit of a boost. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:11 pm
  • Lance Thomas will start on Thursday night
Lance Thomas will start on Thursday night for Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles).

Advice: He should be looking at heavy minutes with Mindaugas Kuzminskas backing him up. KP shouldn't be out for long, so Thomas is only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:15 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 21 in 32 minutes
Wilson Chandler scored 21 points in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday, adding eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He likes playing overseas and tore it up in China during the NBA lockout season. After a sub-par finish to his 2016, Chandler is rolling in 2017 with averages of 17.4 points, 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.0 treys. He is a bit of a sell-high player due to trade rumors and being injury prone. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:44 pm
  • Gary Harris picks up where he left off
Gary Harris (groin) returned to action on Thursday with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: This is a very Harris-like line with a little bit of everything in efficient fashion, making 6-of-11 from the field and all three free throws. Harris did miss his last game due to a groin strain, which is what cost him the first four games of the regular season and most of the preseason. Harris won't light up the box score, but he's safe enough to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:40 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) questionable for Friday
Zach LaVine (hip) is questionable for Friday against the Thunder.

Advice: He did some rehab work on Thursday and is feeling better. LaVine was ruled out about an hour before Wednesday's game due to his hip contusion injury on Monday, so he should be close. LaVine is tied with Kyle Lowry for minutes per game with two DNPs on the season. If he can't go, Brandon Rush should get another chance to start. Shabazz Muhammad and Nemanja Bjelica would also benefit. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:15 pm
  • Mudiay, Harris, Gallo, Chandler & Jokic start
Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinaro, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic will start against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: The Nuggets go back to their usual starting lineup with most of their depth set for this one -- Darrell Arthur (leg) is out. Chandler should be looking at minutes in the low 30s, assuming his illness doesn't limit him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:59 am
  • Wilson Chandler will play in London
Wilson Chandler (illness) will play in London against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: He popped up on the injury report earlier today and it sounds like he's good to go. He'll obviously be a risky DFS play because he may not be able to finish the game. With Darrell Arthur (leg) out, Chandler has a good chance to start. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:39 am
  • Gary Harris will play on Thursday
Gary Harris (groin) will play on Thursday against the Pacers.

Advice: He was a late scratch on Saturday after an apparent aggravation in warmups. Harris has also been playing through it, so hopefully the time off got him all the way back. He should be owned in standard leagues. Even with Harris back, Will Barton should see minutes around 30. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:37 am
  • Mike Dunleavy expects to play Friday
Mike Dunleavy said he expects to play on Friday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Dunleavy wasn't planning on joining the Hawks after he was traded from Cleveland, but a phone call from coach Mike Budenholzer changed his mind. Regardless, we don't see Dunleavy playing more than a handful of minutes Friday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:31 am
  • Brett Brown praises T.J. McConnell
76ers coach Brett Brown praised T.J. McConnell for running away with the starting PG role.

Advice: "He seized the moment, grabbed an opportunity and he ran hard with it," Brown said. "The preparation prior to that opportunity happening for him was A-plus. … To see him be rewarded, it’s a great story." This quote comes on the heels of McConnel's game-winning shot on Wednesday, but it's safe to say that he has locked himself into the starting role. The 76ers are 5-1 when he starts with averages of 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.7 steals, so pick him up if you need guard help. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:06 am
  • Gary Harris (groin) is expected to play
Gary Harris (groin) is expected to play on Thursday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: The Nuggets have been off since Jan. 7 and only play one time this week, so hopefully the extra time off has helped Harris' groin. He's been playing at less than 100 percent and wasn't able to play in the last game, but he's still worth holding onto in standard leagues. Harris has season averages of 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.3 triples. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:39 am
  • Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable
Wilson Chandler (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: It feels like half the NBA is dealing with an illness right now including a few players on the Nuggets. We've seen studs like Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo post duds while playing through an illness, so Chandler will be very risky in DFS if he suits up. Danilo Gallinari (ankle) was originally questionable, but he's now expected to play and should benefit if Chandler sits. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:26 am
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out Thursday
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) will not play on Thursday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: This is only game of the week for the Pacers, but Stuckey wasn't expected to play and still has no timetable for a return. In his absence, Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles have been logging around 20 minutes each off the bench, but they are hit-or-miss options. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:18 am
  • Evan Fournier struggles in 25 minutes
Evan Fournier struggled throughout Wednesday's 105-96 loss to the Clippers, going just 3-of-8 from the field for eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes.

Advice: Beat writer Josh Robbins speculated that Fournier's heel injury might still be an issue, but foul trouble took a toll and he still played the final eight minutes. He also looked very good on Sunday (19 points in 34 minutes) and was coming off two days of rest. We'll let you know if there's a hint of injury concern, but for now owners should start him with confidence vs. the Blazers on Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:21 pm
  • Allen Crabbe scores 24 points in win vs. CLE
Allen Crabbe was on fire early in a win over the Cavs on Wednesday, scoring 24 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Even off the bench, he was the first player in double-digit scoring. Crabbe has been loving the Moda Center with 30 points in his last game there on Sunday. He's also been way more efficient at home all season, posting a 65.7 true shooting percentage (TS%) at home compared to a 56.2 TS% on the road. Keep that in mind if you're looking to use Crabbe as a punt in DFS. He's more of a 16-team guy in season-long leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:36 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops 18th triple-double
Russell Westbrook turned in his 18th triple-double on the season during a 103-95 win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday, scoring 24 points with 13 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies actually defended him well in this game with Westbrook only making 6-of-19 from the field. That's not too surprising after they help him assists-less in their last game -- he was also ejected in the second half. This was also the first time he's had a triple-double against the Grizzlies in a regular season game -- the Grizzlies have 10 as a franchise and Westy has three playoff triple-doubles in his career. Westbrook should have a field day against the Wolves on Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:02 pm
  • T.J. McConnell sinks game-winner in comeback
T.J. McConnell sank a game-winner to escape with a 98-97 victory on Wednesday, finishing with eight points on 4-of-6 shooting, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.

Advice: McConnell said that tonight's clutch bucket was the first game-winner he's ever made. He's seized the starting job from Sergio Rodriguez (four assists in 14 minutes), and he's converting heavy minutes into January averages of 9.2 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals. The scoring hasn't been there, at just 8.8 points per game, and he's made only six 3-pointers all season, but he's well worth owning if you need some PG help. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:16 pm
  • Brandon Jennings logs 24 minutes off bench
Brandon Jennings shifted to the bench on Wednesday, where he posted nine points, three rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: Derrick Rose returned to the lineup after a one-game absence, bumping Jennings to his usual, unpredictable bench role. He went 4-of-6 from the field with a 3-pointer, to his credit, but as long as Rose is healthy he's best suited to leagues with 14 or more teams. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:07 pm
  • Derrick Rose returns, scores 25 pts in defeat
Derrick Rose (personal) started Wednesday's game vs. the Sixers, finishing a brutal road loss with 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting, four assists, two rebounds, one steals and two turnovers in 32 minutes.

Advice: The strange saga of Rose's unexcused absence from Monday's game ended with a "hefty" fine but no suspension, and it clearly didn't distract him from his on-court duties tonight. He played some minutes alongside Brandon Jennings, while Ron Baker picked up a DNP-CD, so for now order has been restored in the Knicks' backcourt. Get Rose back in your active lineups. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:06 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) ruled out for Wednesday
Zach LaVine (hip) has officially been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: This is far from surprising with LaVine being listed as doubtful and limited at shootaround. With LaVine watching from the sidelines, Namanja Bjelica, Shabazz Muhammad and Kris Dunn will all see a boost in value with Bjelica being the preferable DFS target. For now, we'll be considering LaVine questionable for Friday's game against OKC. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:07 pm
  • Zach LaVine (hip) a game-time call vs. HOU
Zach LaVine (hip) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup with the Rockets.

Advice: LaVine will go through his pregame routine before making a final decision, but he wasn't very active at shootaround and is being listed as doubtful, so things aren't trending in a positive direction here. If LaVine is out, Nemanja Bjelica could be forced into heavy minutes with Shabazz Muhammad and Kris Dunn also getting some extra run. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:41 pm
  • D'Angelo Russell jams finger, is fine
D'Angelo Russell jammed his finger in practice on Wednesday and is fine for Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: There's no reason to be alarmed here. Russell is coming off a bad game with just nine points on Tuesday, but he's been trending up before that. Even in a sub-par matchup, he could have a great game on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:17 pm
  • Brandon Jennings will return to the bench Wed
Brandon Jennings will return to the bench for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.

Advice: Derrick Rose (personal) has rejoined the team, and he will be back in the starting five tonight, thus queuing the end of Jennings' run with the starting unit. As a reserve, Jennings is only averaging 6.8 points, 5.0 assists, 1.8 turnovers and 1.0 triple per contest on 37.0 percent shooting, so he's not worth owning in most leagues while he's running with the second unit. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:22 am
  • Derrick Rose (personal) will start Wednesday
Jeff Hornacek confirmed that Derrick Rose (personal) will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.

Advice: Rose had an unexcused absence on Monday as he abruptly left the team to be with his family, and he was reportedly in such a bad mental state on Monday that he briefly considered stepping away from the game for an extended period to "clear his mind." He will, however, be back in the starting lineup on Wednesday, which will send Brandon Jennings back to the bench. Hopefully Rose can move past whatever issue he was dealing with. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:18 am
  • Gary Harris, Gallinari questionable vs. IND
Gary Harris (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (ankle) are questionable to play Thursday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Harris' groin injury has officially turned into a nagging issue, as this is the same injury that sidelined him for the early portion of the season, so if there's any chance of him suffering a setback you can bank on him sitting out Thursday's contest. Gallinari is only dealing with sore ankles, so he seems a bit more likely to gut it out. If Harris is forced to the sidelines, Will Barton and Jamal Murray would benefit most. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:34 am
  • D’Angelo Russell scores nine on 4-of-14 shots
D’Angelo Russell was held to nine points on 4-of-14 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Blazers.

Advice: Despite the rough shooting performance, coach Luke Walton praised him after the game for contributing in other areas -- Russell added eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block in 30 minutes. Russell has been playing much better and was averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.0 triples in his previous five games in January, but tonight's dud may have opened up a buy-low window again. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:15 pm
  • Kent Bazemore held to six points
Kent Bazemore was held to six points on 1-of-7 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Nets with three boards and two steals in 22 minutes.

Advice: His only field goal of the night was a wide-open layup in the fourth quarter. Bazemore is in a brutal slump right now with a combined 14 points on 23.5 percent shooting over his last three games. We can't defend his awful play anymore and he looks like a drop candidate in standard leagues. Also, Taurean Prince and Tim Hardaway Jr. are coming for his minutes. We'll let you know when Bazemore heats back up. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:22 pm
  • Dennis Schroder scorers 19 w/ 10 assists
Dennis Schroder scored 19 points with 10 assists on Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: The PG is doing just fine without Kyle Korver out there to space the floor, as Tim Hardaway Jr. and Taurean Prince have stepped up. Schroder hit 7-of-14 shots with a couple treys in 30 minutes tonight, adding one rebound and two steals. He's now scored 18+ points in four straight games and the Hawks are rolling with seven straight wins. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:08 pm
  • Report: Hawks shopping Tim Hardaway Jr.
The Hawks are reportedly shopping Tim Hardaway Jr.

Advice: Hardaway Jr. can reportedly be had for just some second-round picks, so Atlanta should be able to strike a deal with someone. The Hawks are reportedly going with the trade route because they don't want to pay Hardaway Jr. as a restricted free agent this offseason, but they also don't want to lose him for nothing. If the Hawks are serious about getting Hardaway Jr. off the books, it would make sense to start showcasing him with the second unit. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:43 pm
  • Hornacek says Rose will start on Wednesday
Jeff Hornacek said that if Derrick Rose is in "the right mental state," then he will start Wednesday vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Rose abruptly left the team for what is being called a "family issue," but he did not inform anyone on the Knicks staff that he would not be with the team for Monday night's game, and also failed to pickup a phone call because he needed his "space." The Knicks have fined him, but it sounds like he'll be back in action on Wednesday night, which will queue Brandon Jennings' return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:41 am
  • Mike Dunleavy reports to Atlanta
Mike Dunleavy Jr. has reported to Hawks and will take his physical Tuesday afternoon.

Advice: The Hawks don't play again until Friday, so Dunleavy is on track to make his debut then. However, the Hawks have plenty of depth on the wing and he'll be competing for minutes with Kent Bazemore, Thabo Sefolosha and Tim Hardaway Jr. Thus, Dunleavy is not expected to make a fantasy impact and can be left on waiver wires. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:51 am
  • Derrick Rose is expected to play Wednesday
Derrick Rose (personal) has been fined by the team, but has not been suspended and is expected to play Wednesday vs. Philadelphia.

Advice: The Knicks PR announcement stated that Rose "will be in uniform" on Wednesday, so it's possible coach Jeff Hornacek could still choose not to play him. We will update the situation once we have more info, as we await to hear from Rose and Hornacek following Tuesday's practice. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:38 am
  • D Rose 'ok' but his future in NY is uncertain
Knicks officials eventually heard from Derrick Rose on Monday night, but it wasn't until after the team's loss to New Orleans.

Advice: The Knicks are trying to determine what course of action they should take with Rose now that they have learned he is okay. A suspension seems like a very real possibility at this point. It is being reported that Rose may request a trade or a buyout. This situation is obviously still developing, as we have not yet heard Rose's side of the story. From a fantasy perspective, it makes sense to grab Brandon Jennings, who will start any games that Rose misses. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:10 am
  • Russell Westbrook scores 21 w/ 14 assists
Russell Westbrook scored 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting with 14 assists, nine rebounds, one steal, one triple and three turnovers against the Bulls on Monday.

Advice: Westbrook's 3-point attempts are way up and he attempted a whopping 49 triples in his last four games, hitting them at a 38.7 percent clip. He was just 1-of-7 from deep tonight, but Thunder coach Billy Donovan doesn't seem to mind. "When he gets a couple in a row, I think you have to let him maybe take a couple more that may look highly contested or difficult, because he can make them." Westbrook will look to get some revenge against Memphis on Wednesday after he was ejected in their previous meeting. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:01 pm
  • Brandon Jennings scores 20 w/ four triples
Brandon Jennings started at point guard in Monday's loss to the Pelicans and scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

Advice: Derrick Rose didn't even show up to the game and the Knicks still don't even know why. Whatever the case, Jennings looks like a nice add in all formats and played well in the lopsided loss, adding five rebounds, four assists, two steals, four 3-pointers and two turnovers in 29 minutes. In five previous starts this season, Jennings has posted averages of 17.0 points, 6.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 triples on 43.3 percent shooting. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:37 pm
  • Hornacek won't comment on Rose situation
Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek would not reveal after Monday's game vs. the Pelicans if Derrick Rose has contacted the team.

Advice: "Right now we don’t have information to give you anything," Hornacek said. "That’s just going to have to wait until we hear from Derrick himself." Team officials, Rose's teammates and his close associates don't know why Rose failed to show up to Monday's game, and Brandon Jennings simply said that he hopes Rose is OK. It sounds like we won't know more about this until Tuesday at the earliest, but it makes sense to pick up Jennings in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:20 pm
  • Knicks have no idea what's going on w/ Rose
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Knicks have no idea what's going on with Derrick Rose.

Advice: Rose was listed as the starter 90 minutes before tip-off, but failed to show up to the game. Knicks officials tried to get in contact with him all the way up until tip-off, but it's still unclear if they've been able to reach him. According to Woj, team officials, teammates and Rose's close associates don't know what's going on. Rose was reportedly unhappy about being benched in the fourth quarter on Friday vs. the Bucks, but it's not clear if that's the issue here. Hopefully we'll learn more after the game, but this might be the weirdest story of the NBA season so far. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:24 pm
  • Brandon Jennings starting for Rose
Brandon Jennings is starting in place of Derrick Rose (undisclosed) on Monday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: The Knicks have not revealed why Rose is away from the team, so Jennings is just a speculative add in deeper leagues for now. We'll have an update after the game. Ron Baker will take over as the backup PG. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:42 pm
  • Mike Dunleavy agrees to join the Hawks
After having a discussion with head coach Mike Budenholzer about the role he'll have in Atlanta, Mike Dunleavy has agreed to join the Hawks and he'll report for his physical on Tuesday.

Advice: Once Dunleavy completes his physical in Atlanta, Kyle Korver will be allowed to suit up for the Cavs, so we could see Korver make his Cleveland debut on Tuesday in Utah. It'll be interesting to see what sort of role Dunleavy has with the Hawks, but it's unlikely he'll be able to carve out much fantasy value at all fighting for minutes with the likes of Kent Bazemore, Thabo Sefolosha and Tim Hardaway Jr. Dunleavy won't play Tuesday, but he could make his Atlanta debut Friday vs. Boston. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 12:42 pm
  • Report: GSW interested in Mike Dunleavy
The Warriors would reportedly be interested in signing Mike Dunleavy as a free agent if he secures a buyout from the Hawks.

Advice: That would make for an interesting reunion as Dunleavy suffered the scorn of many Warriors fans during his early years in the league (he was Golden State's No. 3 overall selection in the 2002 draft, but many fans would have preferred to see their franchise roll the dice on Amare Stoudemire). He's also been linked to the Rockets, but regardless of where Dunleavy winds up, his fantasy value will be non-existent. Rotoworld.com Jan 9, 11:47 am
  • Sergio Rodriguez returned to action on Sunday January 8. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 11:59 pm
  • D’Angelo Russell has 17/8/7 with three steals
D’Angelo Russell finished Sunday's home win with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, two 3-pointers, eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block and two turnovers.

Advice: Russell was listed as 'probable' tonight due to a sore left knee. His status was never truly in doubt, but we'll monitor him as a precaution since it's the same knee that required a platelet-rich plasma injection in late November. He tied his season-high in boards tonight, while falling one short in assists, and owners shouldn't hesitate to deploy him in L.A.'s upcoming four-game week. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:41 pm
  • Allen Crabbe pours in career-high 30 points
Allen Crabbe scored a career-high 30 points on Sunday, making 12-of-15 shots with a 5-of-5 mark from downtown in a heartbreaking home loss to the Pistons.

Advice: Crabbe added one rebound, one assist and one steal in a season-high 43 minutes off the bench. He's scored double-digit points in six straight games, one shy of his career high, but hasn't offered much fantasy value beyond efficient scoring and 3-pointers. Feel free to deploy him until he cools off. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:33 pm
  • Reggie Bullock (meniscus) close to return
Reggie Bullock (torn meniscus) didn't play on Sunday, but coach Stan Van Gundy said he's "trending toward being ready."

Advice: "I think he wants to get in a couple practices," Van Gundy said on Saturday. "Quite honestly, I’d be comfortable putting him in a game right now." Stanley Johnson played 25 minutes on Sunday while Darrun Hilliard picked up a DNP-CD, and Van Gundy seems eager to have an alternative wing player in his second unit. We'll consider Bullock day-to-day going forward. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 10:25 pm
  • Mike Dunleavy wants buyout, but ATL wants him
Mike Dunleavy has failed to report to the Hawks following the recent Kyle Korver trade, according to ESPN's Marc Spears.

Advice: Dunleavy wants a buyout, according to the report, which would free him to sign with a team of his choosing. The Hawks, however, would apparently prefer to keep him on their roster. Atlanta has plenty of younger wing options, but they might view Dunleavy as a rotation player and veteran mentor. The two sides are "working through" the situation, but if it drags on much longer it could potentially endanger Korver's status for Tuesday's game. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 4:29 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead struggles as a starter
Isaiah Whitehead struggled in his return to the starting lineup on Sunday, tallying five points, three boards, one 3-pointer, three assists, two blocks and an unfortunate six turnovers in 21 minutes.

Advice: Spencer Dinwiddie wasn't much better in his 25 minutes off the bench, producing just nine points, three boards, three assists, two blocks and one turnover. The Nets point guard rotation sans Jeremy Lin (hamstring) has been a mess, and this is a situation that should be avoided in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 12:40 pm
  • T.J. McConnell hands out six dimes in win
T.J. McConnell went 2-of-11 from the field during Sunday's win over the Nets, on his way to four points, eight boards, six assists, two steals and two turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: McConnell's shot wasn't falling, but he still found a way to make a positive impression on the stat sheet, and over the past four games as a starter he's put in averages of 9.0 points, 9.8 dimes, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and just 2.0 turnovers per game. It was encouraging to see him stick in the starting five despite the return of Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) and with Philly winning three of their past four with McConnell at the helm, that trend will likely continue. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 12:14 pm
  • Sergio Rodriguez logs 12 mins off the bench
Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) logged 12 minutes off the bench in his return to action on Sunday, hitting 2-of-6 shots on his way to four points, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: Rodriguez was eased into things after spending the previous three games on the sidelines with an ankle injury, but as the lesser defender between T.J. McConnell and himself, there are no guarantees he’ll immediately be re-inserted back into the starting five once he’s fully up to speed. As a reserve in Philly, Rodriguez can remain on the wire in most settings. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 11:54 am
  • Isaiah Whitehead starting, Dinwiddie to bench
Isaiah Whitehead is back in the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Spencer Dinwiddie flopped in a start on Friday while Whitehead logged the first double-double of his NBA career with 10 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers in 30 minutes. He's too inefficient to rely on in standard leagues, but he's worth a look in deeper leagues or in points formats with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) without a timetable. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 8:37 am
  • T.J. McConnell will start on Sunday vs. Nets
T.J. McConnell will keep his starting job on Sunday vs. the Nets even with Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) returning.

Advice: More importantly, coach Brett Brown said McConnell "could continue" to get starters minutes moving forward. This move makes a lot of sense because McConnell has looked great in four starts, averaging 11.0 points, 10.5 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.8 triples in that span. He looks like a solid flier in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 7:40 am
  • Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) is available Sunday
Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) is available for Sunday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: He's going to come off the bench behind T.J. McConnell and that move will likely stick because McConnell has been lighting it up with the first unit. Rodirguez's minutes will take a hit in the second unit and he's just an assist specialist for now. Rotoworld.com Jan 8, 7:36 am
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 22 points vs. DAL
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 22 points with two rebounds, three assists and five 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday.

Advice: He is going to be the main man in the second unit with most of the other bench guys holding low usage rates. Even before this game, he was off to a strong start in 2017 with averages of 18.3 points, 4.3 boards, 1.0 assists and 4.0 treys. He's making a case to be added in standard leagues with a Nick Young-esque kind of upside. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 9:14 pm
  • Russell Westbrook drops another trip-dub
Russell Westbrook posted his 17th triple-double of the season during a 121-106 win over the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring 32 points with 17 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and seven 3-pointers.

Advice: When Westbrook is hitting seven treys, it's pretty much a wrap, as his coach knows. "When he's got it going, I want him to heat-check a little bit," coach Billy Donovan said. Westbrook's rebounding numbers have been center-like and he has more of those than assists this season. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:22 pm
  • Victor Oladipo scores 15 points vs. Denver
Victor Oladipo scored 15 points with three rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and no turnovers in 33 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: He still has his wrist wrapped and maybe that's why he missed all eight shots from beyond the arc tonight. Oladipo hasn't quite got his shot going in his last five, making 40.8 percent from the field with averages of 16.6 points, 4.4 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.6 treys in 34.8 minutes. He should go back to being an early-round guy soon enough. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:14 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 24 points in loss
Wilson Chandler scored 24 points with seven rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: It looked like he was going to go bonkers with 19 points with seven minutes left in the second quarter. Chandler is also on the trade block according to ESPN's Marc Stein. He's in a really good spot for his value, so a trade would likely hurt him a bunch. He's still a hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 8:05 pm
  • Will Barton scores 21 points against OKC
Will Barton scored 21 points in a start for Gary Harris (groin) on Saturday, adding seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-poiners in 28 minutes.

Advice: He actually got into some foul trouble early in this game or he would've been well over 30 minutes. Harris was a late scratch and there's no word if he'll miss time going forward, but Barton just has to be picked up right now. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 7:55 pm
  • Brandon Jennings gets ejected on Saturday
Brandon Jennings was ejected with 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: He was being very physical all night and the refs finally called him out on it. Jennings likely won't be suspended for this infraction and should be ready for Monday against the Pelicans. Jennings finished with 17 points, three rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers in 23 minutes. He's worth a look if you're desperate for a point guard. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 6:31 pm
  • Will Barton starting in place of Gary Harris
Will Barton is starting in place of Gary Harris (groin) against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: We still don't know what is wrong with Harris, but his groin injury may have been an aggravation. Whatever the case, Barton shouldn't be on any waiver wires right now. He should be looking at minutes in the upper 30s tonight. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 5:08 pm
  • Gary Harris (groin) is a late scratch vs. OKC
Gary Harris (groin) is a late scratch against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: Uh oh. Harris had a tear in his groin earlier in this season, so there is a good chance this injury is related. Hopefully the Nuggets are just playing it safe because taking Harris away will likely make their bad defense even worse. Will Barton gets a massive bump and should be owned in all leagues. Jamal Murray should also get an increased role and is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 5:04 pm
  • Mike Dunleavy won't play for Hawks Saturday
Now that the trade has been completed, Mike Dunleavy is expected to join the Hawks soon but will not play for Atlanta on Saturday vs. Dallas.

Advice: Dunleavy was also dealing with an ankle sprain earlier this week, but that does not seem to be an issue at this point. The Hawks are rumored to be looking to trade Dunleavy as well, so we don't know where he will end up at this point. Nonetheless, it unlikely he is able to carve out fantasy value no matter where he lands. He can be left on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 11:07 am
  • Rodriguez (ankle) hopeful to play Sunday
Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) is "hopeful" he will be ready to play Sunday in Brooklyn.

Advice: "Hopefully the next game I’ll be ready," Rodriguez said on Friday night. "I will try as much as I can. I want to play. It’s been eight days without doing what I’ve been doing for a long time." T.J. McConnell has played very well in place of S-Rod. McConnell has started each of the last three games and is averaging 10.7 points, 11.0 assists 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals over that stretch. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 10:07 am
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) ruled out Saturday
As expected, Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: This is no surprise, as we learned on Friday that Stuckey has not yet been cleared for full practice and is still without a timetable for his return. He can be left on waiver wires. Rotoworld.com Jan 7, 9:56 am
  • First Team All Defense: Allen steals 6 in win
Tony Allen recorded six steals in Friday's win over the Warriors, finishing with 11 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 48 minutes.

Advice: He was everywhere tonight and helped the Grizzlies climb back from a 24-point deficit. Allen shot just 5-of-16 from the field, but who cares with a line like this? He was averaging 1.7 steals per game prior to Friday and that's where he gets most of his fantasy value, so anything else he can contribute is icing on the cake. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 10:57 pm
  • Brandon Jennings plays five minutes in win
Brandon Jennings played a season-low five minutes in Friday's win over the Bucks, finishing with one rebound, one assist and two turnovers.

Advice: The Knicks turned to Ron Baker down the stretch, but this was likely a fluke. Jennings has been solid off the bench all season and we'd be surprised if Baker suddenly leapfrogged him in the rotation after one bad game. With that said, Jennings shouldn't be owned in standard leagues right now anyways. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:52 pm
  • Lance Thomas returns to bench, scores 10
Lance Thomas returned to the bench and scored 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting with two rebounds, two triples and a steal in 20 minutes vs. the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: This was one of his best games of the season, but this line is basically his ceiling while Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) is healthy. Leave Thomas on the wire. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:42 pm
  • Isaiah Whitehead scores 10 with 10 boards
Isaiah Whitehead logged the first double-double of his NBA career on Friday with 10 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers in 30 minutes off the bench against the Cavs.

Advice: He lucked out because Spencer Dinwiddie squandered his chance in the starting lineup. Whitehead will likely be starting on Sunday against the 76ers, but he doesn't have much fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:30 pm
  • T.J. McConnell hands out 17 assists in loss
T.J. McConnell handed out a career-high 17 assists in a loss to the Celtics on Friday, adding nine points, four rebounds, two steals and two turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: He was killer in pick-and-roll with both big men and also made 4-of-6 from the field on his shots. McConnell has made a very compelling case to start with how he can get the bigs the rock and how he's a better defender than Sergio Rodriguez (ankle). It's not a bad idea to pick him up and see what happens. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 7:46 pm
  • Evan Fournier struggles in start
Evan Fournier scored 10 points in a 100-93 loss to the Rockets on Friday, adding nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and two turnovers in 35 minutes.

Advice: He was not in a good groove with Elfrid Payton in the first unit. Coach Frank Vogel has been all over the place with his rotation, but Fournier should be a staple for him no matter what he does. Keep him rolling in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 7:08 pm
  • Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) ruled out Friday
Sergio Rodriguez (left ankle sprain) will not play Friday vs. Boston.

Advice: Rodriguez was listed as probable on Thursday but was then downgraded to questionable, before finally being ruled out prior to Friday's tip. T.J. McConnell is expected to draw another start. McConnell has played well in Rodriguez's absence and will be a popular DFS tournament play on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 3:04 pm
  • Evan Fournier back in the starting lineup
Evan Fournier is starting against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: Jodie Meeks will move back to the bench. Fournier was running the offense, so it will be interesting to see how he fits next to Elfrid Payton in the first unit. His usage rate takes a hit along with his assist percentage, but he is more efficient. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 2:30 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) w/out a timetable
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) has not yet been cleared for full practice and still does not yet have a timetable for his return.

Advice: Stuckey has played a total of six minutes over the Pacers last 11 games. Monta Ellis, C.J. Miles and Glenn Robinson will continue to divvy up minutes in his absence. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 11:48 am
  • Sergio Rodriguez (ankle) questionable Friday
Sergio Rodriguez (left ankle sprain) has been downgraded from probable to questionable for Friday's game vs. Boston.

Advice: It's obviously not a good sign that the Sixers downgraded S-Rod, who has missed each of Philly's two previous games. If Rodriguez can't play, T.J. McConnell will draw another start at point guard. In his three starts this season, McConnell is averaging 11.7 points, 8.3 assists and 6.3 rebounds. He is a very enticing streaming and DFS option if S-Rod is unavailable. Rotoworld.com Jan 6, 8:33 am
  • D'Angelo Russell scores 22 points in loss
D'Angelo Russell hit 6-of-18 shots and missed all eight of his 3-pointers for 22 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in Thursday's loss to the Blazers.

Advice: The second-year player was also under the weather. He salvaged his scoring night by getting to the line 11 times and hitting 10 of them. He came in shooting well over his last two games, which included 12 3-pointers, but couldn't get dialed in from downtown tonight. He's healthy again and played 35 minutes tonight, making him a solid point-guard option in all formats right now. Rotoworld.com Jan 5, 10:24 pm
  • Wilson Chandler scores 11 points off bench
Wilson Chandler scored 11 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes on Thursday against the Spurs.

Advice: The Nuggets elected to go with a bigger frontcourt against the San Antonio tonight, which is why Chandler moved to the bench. Expect him to go back into the starting lineup on Saturday against the Thunder and play his 30+ minutes. He scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in their last meeting.
