  • Ed Davis returned to action on Friday January 20. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:41 am
  • Derrick Favors doesn't do much vs. Dallas
Derrick Favors scored five points with four rebounds, one block and four fouls in 26 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: The minutes were on the rise, but Boris Diaw having a solid game and Favors getting into some foul trouble cost him a bit. We'll see how the Jazz play it at home against the Pacers, but Favors should be in the 24-30 window. He's starting to trend up for his patient fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:16 am
  • Shelvin Mack gets a DNP-CD
Shelvin Mack was a DNP-CD on Friday.

Advice: He was a DNP-CD on Monday and is likely considered as the No. 4 point guard today. That could change, but Mack can be ignored almost everywhere right now. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:08 am
  • Deron Williams scores 16 points vs. Jazz
Deron Williams scored 16 points during a 112-107 loss to the Jazz on Friday, adding four rebounds, eight assists and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: His scoring chances should be going up, as well. Compared to when he's with J.J. Barea (calf) this season, Williams gets a 7.9 usage rate bump without JJB. Although, the sample isn't too big with just 106 minutes of Barea-Williams lineups, and also some of this is due to Dirk Nowitkzi's absence overlapping Barea's time off. Still, Williams is playing some great ball as a sell-high player due to his injury history and the Mavs losing so many games. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:46 pm
  • Devin Harris scores 10 points vs. Jazz
Devin Harris scored 10 points with three assists and two 3-pointers in 18 minutes against the Jazz on Friday.

Advice: He'll likely be getting a few extra minutes with J.J. Barea (calf) going down. The Mavs are very unlikely to unleash Harris due to some of his injury demons, so he would only be a pickup for deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:34 pm
  • Dennis Schroder carves up Bulls
Dennis Schroder was in control against the Bulls during a 102-93 win on Friday, making 11-of-14 from the field for 25 points with three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in just 27 minutes.

Advice: Since he was benched last weekend for two games, Schroder looks to be back. In those three games, he's averaged 22.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.3 steals and 1.0 treys on 70.7 percent from the field. He'll have another slump at some point, but that's just who he is. Expect him to be around mid-round value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. gets 21 minutes
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored nine points with three rebounds, three assists and three steals against the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: That's two bad games in a row from the offensive side of things, but at least Hardaway Jr. brought it with some defensive output. He is slightly losing his grip as an asset in standard leagues, but we would still hold him for now unless it's for an irresistible free agent. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:02 pm
  • Myles Turner scores 15 points in loss
Myles Turner scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 33 minutes vs. the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: Turner is having a breakout season in every sense of the word and Pacers president Larry Bird gushed about his young center this week. "He wants to be great. He’s going to be great," Bird said. "To me, I think he’s got a chance to be one of the best players or maybe the best player [in the franchise’s history]." Turner is just 20 years old and is flirting with top-20 value in standard leagues on the season, so he's going to be a superstar in real life and in fantasy for a very long time. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm
  • Draymond Green fills it up in a win
Draymond Green was key in the win over the Rockets on Friday, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: The Dubs get all the credit for their offense, but their defense was a big reason why they won this game. Green actually only played eight minutes at the five in this game, which is somewhat surprising with how the Rockets count on perimeter scoring so much. Despite a three percent dip in usage and a four percent dip in true shooting percentage, Green is still a first-round value in standard leagues. It's not all about scoring, you guys. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:14 pm
  • Eric Gordon whiffs from deep in loss
Eric Gordon made 2-of-14 from the field for six points against the Warriors on Friday, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 33 minutes.

Advice: Yuck. Gordon had the lead for total 3-pointers before tonight, but Stephen Curry passed him back. After Gordon made an incredible 4.4 treys per game on 45.7 from deep in December, he's down to 3.3 on 30.6 percent in January. Obviously volume helps with his 10.9 attempts and Gordon is still at a respectable 40.0 percent overall this month. He probably has peaked, but keep him going. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:58 pm
  • Clint Capela scores career-high 22 points
Clint Capela showed he was close to 100 percent against the Warriors on Friday, scoring a career-high 22 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.

Advice: We'll keep this one simple here. If Capela is somehow on your waiver wire, go fix that right now and pick him up. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:49 pm
  • Dante Cunningham post a -32
Dante Cunningham scored 14 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

Advice: In the plus-minus stat, he managed an incredible -32. Coach Alvin Gentry insists on starting him to help on switches and perimeter defense, but it's costing him in other areas. He's worth a look in deep leagues, but his low upside makes him a low-demand player. He's actually been decent, as a top-200 player lately. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm
  • Terrence Jones scores 13 points off bench
Terrence Jones scored 13 points with eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

Advice: Coach Alvin Gentry is really just using Jones as a backup center behind Anthony Davis. With Davis banged up for the umpteenth time, Jones should still be held despite the dip in minutes. Besides, Jones has still flirted with standard league value even with Davis healthy for the most part. Just hold him and hope you hit the jackpot. In football terms, he's the Spencer Ware of handcuffs. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm
  • Marc Gasol scores 28 points in win over Kings
Marc Gasol scored 28 points in 33 minutes in Friday's 107-91 win over the Kings.

Advice: Gasol filled it up tonight, shooting 9-of-19 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line with nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and three triples in 33 minutes. Gasol has now scored 24+ points in three straight games, but his owners will want to make sure he's active on Saturday vs. the Rockets on the second night of a back-to-back set -- Gasol has rested twice this season and both DNPs occurred during back-to-back sets. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm
  • Quincy Acy scores 12 points
Quincy Acy scored a season-high 12 points with eight rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: He was happy to get a second 10-day deal and he made the Nets feel good about it right off the bat. Acy plays mostly center for the Nets, so keep that in mind if Brook Lopez rests. He'll only be a desperation stream or punt in DFS best case. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:07 pm
  • Ed Davis makes his return
Ed Davis (ankle) played 15 minutes with two points, six rebounds, one assist and five fouls in 15 minutes against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: This is definitely one of those Ed Davis games for coach Terry Stotts. The coach loves to use Davis against the stud bigs and put Davis on Joel Embiid quite a bit tonight. He does not have much fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
  • Ed Davis likely to play on Friday
Ed Davis (ankle) is likely to play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Coach Terry Stotts and the Blazers may not give us another update on Boss, but it makes sense to use him with how Stotts like Davis against skilled bigs. Obviously, fantasy owners shouldn't be reacting to this news at almost any depth. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:46 pm
  • Ed Davis (ankle) probable for Friday
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game vs. 76ers

Advice: Davis missed Wednesday's game due to the ankle sprain. There is only minimal fantasy impact here, as Davis will split minutes off the bench with Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:08 am
  • Deron Williams struggles vs. Heat
Deron Williams hit 2-of-8 shots for six points with nine assists, three rebounds and one 3-pointer on Thursday against the Heat.

Advice: It was a quiet night for Williams who was averaging 15.1 points in the month of January heading into tonight. He has another tough task tomorrow against a good defensive Jazz team, so fantasy owners should temper their expectations. That said, he remains a must own PG in all formats. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:36 pm
  • Quincy Acy will sign another 10-day contract
Quincy Acy will sign another 10-day contract with the Nets.

Advice: Acy has made four brief appearances for the Nets, but he made a decent fist impression with averages of 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game. Unless his role grows, fantasy owners can continue to ignore him. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:09 am
  • Myles Turner scores 16 points vs. Kings
Myles Turner made 7-of-9 from the field for 16 points with five rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

Advice: While he didn't do much damage on the glass and only had one block, Turner was really good against DeMarcus Cousins on the defensive end. Turner had seen a sudden spike on the glass this month, averaging 10.3 boards per game in his previous January games -- he only had 6.5 in December. Turner has held steady as a second-round player in standard leagues this season. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:59 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. gets 10 pts w/ nothing else
Tim Hardaway Jr. came off the bench on Wednesday with 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting, two 3-pointers, one rebound, and no other stats in 19 minutes of action.

Advice: He started for the Hawks on Monday, but that was only because Dwight Howard was being rested. THJ has been great this month, averaging 16.9 points and 2.9 triples on 54.2 percent shooting. He's worth deploying until he cools off, but be aware that he offers little beyond the scoring stats. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:06 pm
  • Terrence Jones plays 18 minutes off bench
Terrence Jones played just 18 minutes off the bench vs. Orlando, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Jones also had a steal and a block, so it wasn't altogether terrible for fantasy purposes. The playing time is a concern, but with Donatas Motiejunas basically out of the rotation we expect T-Jones to see more run vs. the Nets on Friday. If you've owned him for any stretch of time this season, you already know that a ton of patience is required. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:03 pm
  • Dante Cunningham hits 7-of-11 FGs for 14 pts
Dante Cunningham earned another start for the Pelicans on Wednesday, posting 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting with five rebounds and no other stats in 27 minutes.

Advice: The veteran came in shooting 38.9 percent this season, and he's typically a vacant fantasy option no matter how many minutes he gets. He belongs on the wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:01 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores 25 points vs. Bucks
Eric Gordon scored 25 points with four rebounds and seven 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Advice: That ankle issue clearly didn't bother him. Gordon had been in a shooting slump this month, making just 31.1 percent from deep in his previous January games. After the game, Gordon passed Stephen Curry for first in the NBA for total 3-pointers -- Curry could pass him back tonight against the Thunder. These sharpshooters will face off on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:00 pm
  • Clint Capela scores just five off bench
Clint Capela came off the bench against the Bucks on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds and two blocks in 11 minutes.

Advice: He still has a minutes limit and it may stick around. The good news is Capela came in for garbage time, so maybe the plan all along was to have him close out for this game. While he hasn't done much yet, he has to be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:32 pm
  • Marc Gasol scores 28 points vs. Wizards
Marc Gasol scored 28 points against the Wizards on Wednesday during a 104-101 loss, adding two rebounds, seven assists, one block and one turnover in 39 minutes.

Advice: The Grizzlies aren't quite playing their best ball and are now down to the No. 7 seed. Gasol also hasn't played as well as he did in December with his January averages dropping in points, rebounds, blocks and treys. He gets two home favorable matchups over the weekend with the Kings on Friday and the Rockets on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:21 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. will come off the bench Weds
Tim Hardaway Jr. will come off the bench Wednesday vs. the Pistons.

Advice: The Hawks will roll out a starting five featuring Dennis Schroder, Thabo Sefolosha, Kent Bazemore, Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard (rest), but Hardaway should still be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s regardless of how he enters the game. He's been averaging 16.9 points and 2.9 triples per contest through the month of January, so he's worth owning while he's this hot. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:47 pm
  • Clint Capela will come off the bench vs. MIL
Clint Capela will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Capela started in his return from a 15-game absence on Tuesday, but only lasted nine minutes, so it doesn't make much sense to start him while he's dealing with a minutes limit. Capela does have some nice upside, but it'll probably take him at least a week before he's really up to speed. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:33 pm
  • Eric Gordon will play on Wednesday night
Eric Gordon (ankle) will play on Wednesday night against the Bucks.

Advice: He should be ready to roll after a tweak of his ankle. Gordon continues to make his money when he's not on the court next to James Harden, posting a 33.2 usage rate without The Beard and only a 19.0 with him. He's worth using in standard leagues tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:28 pm
  • Eric Gordon not on the injury report
Eric Gordon (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday against the Bucks.

Advice: He looked to tweak his ankle on Tuesday and did have to leave the game. The Rockets didn't have a shootaround today, so we likely won't get another update on him until about 90 minutes before tip. For now, expect him to play in a high-scoring game as the Rockets look to bounce back from a loss on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:38 pm
  • Deron Williams packs stat sheet in win
Deron Williams hit 5-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, six rebounds, nine assists and a steal in Tuesday's thrilling 99-98 win over the Bulls.

Advice: Harrison Barnes scored 20 and Dirk Nowitzki had a 10 & 10 double-double in the win, and Williams has scored in double figures in four straight games. He's averaging 13 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over his last five and should be owned in all leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:37 pm
  • Eric Gordon has one of those nights in loss
Eric Gordon hit just 3-of-17 shots and 1-of-10 3-pointers for seven points, one rebound and one assist in Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Heat.

Advice: Ouch. He left the game briefly to have either his ankle or toe re-taped, but never got into a groove tonight. And with Ryan Anderson out with the flu, the Rockets were looking for him to step up. Hopefully his re-taping issue is not a problem going forward and we expect him to bounce back on Wednesday against the Bucks. That is a back-to-back situation and coach Mike D'Antoni said after the game he's a little worried about whether Gordon will be ready to bounce back. Watch for news on Gordon on Wednesday, just in case. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:10 pm
  • Clint Capela fails to score in return
Clint Capela played for the first time in 15 games after a broken leg and started on Tuesday, but missed all three of his shots and didn't score in just nine minutes of action.

Advice: The good news is that he's back and the bad news is that it will be baby steps for Capela as he works his way back into game shape. He's worth holding, but it may be a week or so before we see him return to form. He did have five rebounds and a block, for what it's worth. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:03 pm
  • Eric Gordon leaves, then returns for Rockets
Eric Gordon suffered a lower right leg injury of some sort on Tuesday and went to the locker room, but returned a short time later.

Advice: He likely either aggravated his toe injury or suffered a sprained ankle, but whatever the case, he had it taped back up and is back in the game. He's having a tough night, currently sitting on seven points on 3-of-11 shooting. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:09 pm
  • Ed Davis (ankle) out Wednesday vs. Hornets
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Davis only lasted five minutes on Monday night before the ankle flared up on him, so he could be spending a few games on the shelf here as he gets his ankle back to 100 percent. Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh will likely split Davis' minutes, but that means very little in fantasy hoops. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:02 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) will start Tuesday night
Clint Capela (knee) will return to the starting lineup Tuesday night in Miami, but will "probably" play fewer than 20 minutes.

Advice: Capela will return after missing 15 games. Coach Mike D'Antoni indicated that there will not be a minutes cap in place, but did say: "His condition being what it is, we'll keep him under 20 minutes, probably." Capela was averaging 24.5 minutes per game over Houston's first 28 games this season. Montrezl Harrell had played relatively well in Capela absence, but will now get bumped back to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:28 am
  • Clint Capela (knee) expected to play Tuesday
Clint Capela (knee) is expected to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. Miami.

Advice: "I've been doing pretty good in the workouts by myself, sprinting, dunking. It all felt good," Capela said. He had been playing the best basketball of his career prior to the injury, which was initially projected to cost him 4-6 weeks. He is averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks - all career-highs. Make sure he is not floating around your league's waiver wire, as he was returning mid-round value over the first two months of the season. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:00 am
  • Ed Davis returned to action on Monday January 16. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:41 am
  • Draymond Green triple-doubles in win vs. Cavs
Draymond Green triple-doubled in an easy 126-91 win over the Cavaliers on Monday, scoring 11 points with 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Advice: This was his third triple-double of the season and the 17th of his career. Green was incredible on the defensive end, racking up one steal and matching his career-high with five blocks. He didn't have a single turnover in 35 minutes and finished 4-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from the stripe in one of his best lines of the season. The Warriors will go for their fifth straight win on Wednesday vs. the Thunder. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:43 pm
  • Terrence Jones scores 15 w/ 8 boards
Terrence Jones returned to the bench on Monday vs. the Pacers, but looked great with 15 points (6-of-13 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one triple in 26 minutes.

Advice: To the surprise of no one, coach Alvin Gentry started Dante Cunningham, but the forward predictably flopped once again with three points in 31 minutes. Gentry's handling of Jones' minutes has been incredibly frustrating, but he may be forced to roll with Jones for extended minutes with Anthony Davis leaving the game with a back injury. Jones was worth owning before Davis went down, so make sure he's not sitting on your wire as we await further news on The Brow's status. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:43 pm
  • Dante Cunningham scores three points in start
Dante Cunningham moved into the starting lineup on Monday vs. the Pacers, but scored just three points on 1-of-7 shooting in 31 minutes.

Advice: We have no idea why coach Alvin Gentry insists on giving Cunningham this type of workload, but it could be his downfall. The forward added just two rebounds, one steal and a triple, while Terrence Jones had 15 points with eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a triple in 26 minutes off the bench. Even with Anthony Davis (back) going down, Cunnigham isn't worth adding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:36 pm
  • Myles Turner scores 18 w/ four blocks
Myles Turner scored 18 points with 12 rebounds, four blocks and one assist in Monday's win over the Pelicans.

Advice: Turner held his own against Anthony Davis and turned in one of the best lines of the night so far, but he did shoot just 7-of-17 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line. Turner was shooting 80.9 percent from the line prior to Monday, so cut him some slack this time around. This was Turner's third game of the season with 18+ points, 12+ rebounds and 4+ blocks, second to only Anthony Davis (6) and Hassan Whiteside (5). Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:26 pm
  • Clint Capela (knee) feeling good in workouts
Clint Capela (knee) said that he's been sprinting and dunking during recent workouts, and it all felt good.

Advice: Capela has been out of commission since Dec. 17, but he could return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Heat. The Rockets will make an official determination on his status following Tuesday morning's shootaround, but he's close enough to a return that he should be stashed in most leagues. He'll likely be eased back into things after the lengthy layoff, but once he's fully up to speed, Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:42 pm
  • Dennis Schroder close out, scores 28 points
Dennis Schroder bounced back against the Knicks on Monday during a 108-107 win, scoring 28 points with three rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: This was a huge game for him. Schroder has plenty of blemishes in his time in MSG. He was a DNP-CD last year and he also didn't close out in a previous game this season. Schroder also didn't close out in the previous two games, but he did today and hit a massive 3-pointer to get the win. After a brief drop off, Schroder looks like he's back. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:30 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 20 points vs. NY
Tim Hardaway scored 20 points in a start against the Knicks on Monday, adding three rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Revenge game? Hardaway Jr.'s team got a big win at MSG to make them 9-1 in their last 10. Even though he may not start going forward, Hardaway Jr. has been terrific since the Kyle Korver trade. While he may be traded as a restricted free agent this summer, he has to be owned in standard leagues with his recent play. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:22 pm
  • Terrence Jones to return to the bench vs. IND
Terrence Jones will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: Dante Cunningham will get the start today, and Jones value will take a hit with the move back to the bench. As a reserve this season, Jones owns averages of 9.3 points, 5.5 boards and 1.0 block per game, so he's not a great guy to utilize in daily leagues today. He's still a solid stash, though. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:41 pm
  • Cunningham starting, Jones to the bench
Dante Cunningham will return to the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Pacers, sending Terrence Jones back to the bench.

Advice: Alvin Gentry just loves Cunningham, but there's nothing to like about his production in fantasy hoops. Jrue Holiday, Buddy Hield, Solomon Hill and Anthony Davis will join Cunningham in the starting five for today's matinee, and Jones' value will take a hit with the demotion to the second unit. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:37 pm
  • Revenge: Tim Hardaway Jr. will start vs. NYK
Tim Hardaway Jr. will move into the starting lineup for Monday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Revenge game! Dwight Howard is resting, so the Hawks are going to go small with Paul Millsap at center. THJ was already trending up before this news with averages of 16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 3.0 triples per game in January, so give him a look if those numbers mesh well with your fantasy team. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:50 am
  • Ed Davis (sprained ankle) will play Monday
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) is available to play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: He was considered questionable, but he said his ankle felt fine after warmups. Davis has played 21 or less minutes in three straight games, so he shouldn't be in many fantasy lineups. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:41 am
  • Quincy Acy plays 20 minutes vs. Rockets
Quincy Acy played 20 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Rockets, finishing with seven points, four boards, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Acy is a combined 3-of-4 from deep since joining the Nets on Jan. 10, but perimeter shooting isn't a facet of his game we expect to see with regularity. He was also averaging just 3.0 minutes in his previous two appearances for Brooklyn, with a DNP-CD to his credit, and there's no reason to consider him in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:26 pm
  • Eric Gordon scores game-high 24 points Sunday
Eric Gordon lit up the Nets on Sunday for a game-high 24 points, making 9-of-14 shots with four 3-pointers in 28 minutes of action.

Advice: Gordon added three boards, three assists and just one turnover, and his recent toe injury isn't a concern. The Rockets' perimeter-happy offense has enabled him to drained a whopping 3.7 triples per game this season, which has anchored his mid-round fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:06 pm
  • Dennis Schroder lousy in 24 minutes vs. Bucks
Dennis Schroder had a game to forget on Sunday, committing five turnovers with six points, six assists and two rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

Advice: This marks Schroder's second straight dud, and it's not encouraging that backup PG Malcolm Delaney has been great in both of those games. The Hawks have been streaking lately and coach Mike Budenholzer isn't afraid to ride the hot hand, but there's no cause for panic here. Schroder should get back on track in a matchup vs. Derrick Rose and the Knicks on Monday. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:55 pm
  • Deron Williams double-doubles w/ two steals
Deron Williams scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting Sunday, to go with 10 assists, four rebounds, three 3-pointers, two steals and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Williams has been playing very well in his past three outings, owning averages of 15.7 points, 9.7 dimes, 2.7 triples, 1.0 steal and 2.7 turnovers per game on 57.6 percent shooting, which has been good enough for mid-round value. However, the sky-high field goal percentage is unsustainable, and Williams is definitely a guy that could be rested down the stretch with the Mavs sitting on a 13-27 record, so owners may want to use this hot streak to try and sell high on the oft-injured point guard. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:19 pm
  • Ed Davis (ankle) questionable Monday vs. WAS
Ed Davis (sprained left ankle) is a game-time call on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Advice: It's unclear exactly when Davis suffered this injury, but we should have a better idea on his status following Monday morning's shootaround. If he's out, Meyers Leonard would have the opportunity for some extended minutes off the bench, but he's too inconsistent to rely upon in standard settings. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:50 pm
  • Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday
Clint Capela (leg) could return on Tuesday vs. the Heat or Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: He has missed about one month of action, but the big man is scheduled to go through practice on Monday. It's fair to assume that Capela will have restrictions right out of the gate, but he shouldn't be sitting on your waiver wire with season averages of 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. Montrezl Harrell is now a drop candidate in most leagues, while Nene loses a lot of value as well. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:11 am
  • Derrick Favors plays 31 minutes vs. Magic
Derrick Favors hit 7-of-12 shots for 17 points with six rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes against the Magic on Saturday.

Advice: Favors played big minutes on the second game of a back-to-back, but he only played 27 minutes in yesterday’s blowout win against the Pistons. This was the second time since returning from injury that he plays at least 30 minutes. The increase in minutes is a big positive, so he's trending up. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:33 pm
  • Dante Cunningham scores seven points
Dante Cunningham scored seven points with five rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes off the bench against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: He was the first forward sub of the game and checked in for Terrence Jones, so coach Alvin Gentry may see him in that role going forward. Cunningham needs a ridiculous amount of minutes to have value in even deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:00 pm
  • Terrence Jones gets 34 minutes in his start
Terrence Jones made a start next to Anthony Davis on Saturday against the Bulls, scoring nine points with eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 34 minutes.

Advice: The bad news is the Pelicans were smashed on the glass and they lost this game, but the rotation is encouraging. The other centers didn't play, Jones soaked up the remaining nine minutes as the backup center, and he was staggered a bit with Davis. Considering the Pelicans are -23.1 in net rating in their minutes without both AD and TJ, you would think Jones would get major minutes as a starter to shorten up the second unit minutes without both. We know coach Alvin Gentry is tough to trust, but Jones has to be added in all standard leagues with his upside. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:22 pm
  • Terrence Jones expected to start next to AD
Terrence Jones is expected to start next to Anthony Davis (hip) against the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: Could it be? Could coach Alvin Gentry finally be starting his best two big men together? As we've said all season, the Pelicans have a +5.9 net rating with the Jones-Davis lineup while AD is -2.0 without TJ. Maybe, just maybe this move sticks. Make sure Jones isn't on your wire just in case it does. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 1:07 pm
  • Rivalry between Thomas & Schroder heats up
The rivalry between Dennis Schroder and Isaiah Thomas escalated during the Celtics victory over the Hawks on Friday night.

Advice: Schroder played poorly on Saturday (four points, three rebounds, three assists) while Thomas excelled (28 points, four rebounds, nine assists) and hit the game-winner. Afterward, Schroder said: "If he thinks that he got to curse at my mom or say some dumb stuff about my family, that has nothing to do with basketball. That’s his choice. I’ve got too much class for that. Next one, we are going to get it." Mark down Feb. 27 on your calendars, as that's the next time the C's and Hawks meet up. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:45 am
  • Derrick Favors held to nine points in win
Derrick Favors scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting vs. the Pistons on Friday.

Advice: While he didn't play well, it was still encouraging to see Favors log 27 minutes in the blowout. He added eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal, but his owners are going to have to be patient with him as he works his way back into shape. Don't be surprised if the Jazz limit his minutes on Saturday vs. Orlando on the second night of a back-to-back set. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:13 pm
  • Eric Gordon returns, looks rusty
Eric Gordon scored 13 points in his return to the lineup on Friday, adding one rebound, one assist and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: The left big toe sprain didn't hinder his playing time, playing just above his 30.6 minutes per game average. Gordon goes from a tough matchup tonight to a dream matchup on Sunday against the Nets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:18 pm
  • Tim Hardaway Jr. scores 23 points
Tim Hardway Jr. scored 23 points with two rebounds, two assists, one block, three steals and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

Advice: We have a four-game sample on Hardaway post-Kyle Korver and it's going well. In those four, he averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.3 treys. That's good enough to make him a top-50 player in that span. Yeah, he won't be this good, but he has to be picked up in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:37 pm
  • Dennis Schroder gets benched late
Dennis Schroder played just 23 minutes against the Celtics on Friday with four points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: He did not close this game out in what was obviously his worst game in a long time. We've seen Schroder getting in coach Mike Budenholzer's doghouse before, but it hasn't happened too much this season. Perhaps he was just worked up based on his comments about Isaiah Thomas before the game because of an incident last year. "If he don’t slap me, nothing is going to happen," he said. Expect him to bounce back on Sunday against the Bucks. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:27 pm
  • Deron Williams calls the game in the fourth
Deron Williams called the plays in the fourth quarter on Thursday night.

Advice: D-Will was in a serious groove in the first three quarters as a scorer, but he actually didn't have any points in eight fourth-quarter minutes. Plus, the Mavs were -21.9 in net rating during that time, so technically it didn't work. Among players with fewer than 31 minutes per game, Williams ranks first in touch time per game, so this is a positive for him. He's worth owning in all leagues while he's healthy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:51 pm
  • Eric Gordon wants to test toe before game
Eric Gordon has been cleared to play Friday against Memphis, but said he still wants to give it one more test before the game to be sure.

Advice: Gordon is still likely to play on Friday, but it's not a certainty. "I just started running a little bit for the first time (Thursday). It's still painful a little bit, but we'll see how it goes before the game, try to get ready for the game," Gordon said after shootaround. "You got to play with some kind of pain. You have to deal with it." Check back prior to tip-off, as we will pass along offical word once it is announced. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:33 am
  • Eric Gordon (toe) will play Friday night
Eric Gordon (left big toe sprain) is available to play Friday night vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Gordon has missed each of the Rockets last two games due to the toe injury, which allowed Steph Curry to pass him for the league lead in made 3-pointers. However, Gordon, who is a strong early-season candidate for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, will look to get back on track Friday night. Gordon is averaging 17.8 points and 3.7 3-pointers per game this season. Get him back in your starting lineups. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:44 am
  • Draymond Green scores 2 with 13 dimes
Draymond Green missed all four of his shots and scored just two points on Thursday, but also had nine rebounds, 13 assists and two blocks in 30 minutes of Thursday's blowout win over the Suns.

Advice: The bottom line is that Dray simply doesn't need to score on this team and he tied his season low with two points tonight. But he can also score when necessary and was averaging 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.1 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 3-pointers per game coming into this one. That's awfully close to triple-double territory, which is why he's still one of the top players in fantasy despite not being much of a scorer on a stacked team. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:09 pm
  • Deron Williams his 9-of-15 shots for dub-dub
Deron Williams hit 9-of-16 shots and four 3-pointers for 23 points and 12 assists in Thursday's win over the Suns.

Advice: This was just his second double-double of the season and it's not surprising, given how bad the Suns are against opposing guards. He's played in 25 straight games and the Mavs have five more on the schedule before a back-to-back on Jan. 25-26. He may sit in one of those, but Williams looks good to go for another week or so. He's got another good matchup on Sunday against Ricky Rubio and the Timberwolves. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:36 pm
  • Terrence Jones goes off with 24 points in win
Terrence Jones carried the Pelicans frontcourt in a win over the Nets on Thursday, scoring 24 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Advice: Why oh why doesn't coach Alvin Gentry play him more? He obviously stepped up because of Anthony Davis (hip) not playing, but the Jones-Davis lineup has been effective for the Pelicans. Plus, the true centers have been really bad. Jones played just 30 minutes combined in the previous two and Davis could be back for Saturday, but it's kind of hard to leave him on the wire in almost any league. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:06 pm
  • Dante Cunningham comes off the bench
Dante Cunningham moved to the bench on Thursday against the Nets, finishing with four points, five boards and one steal.

Advice: Maybe, just maybe coach Alvin Gentry will start playing Terrence Jones over Cunningham more now. Cunningham isn't worth owning in almost any league regardless. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:49 pm
  • Dante Cunningham moves to the bench
Dante Cunningham will move to the bench against the Nets on Thursday.

Advice: He should still be in the rotation tonight, but obviously fantasy owners shouldn't be looking his way. Cunningham will need a lot to happen to have consistent fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:10 pm
  • Terrence Jones, Omer Asik will start vs. BK
Terrence Jones and Omer Asik will get the start against the Nets on Thursday.

Advice: With Anthony Davis' 37.1 minutes, 33.6 usage rate and 17.1 rebounding rate out of the picture, there are a lot of stats up for grabs against the NBA's fastest team. The last time AD was out, we saw TJ score 18 points in 26 minutes in a tough matchup against the Clippers, so he should be a nice option in DFS tonight. We'll see how much Donatas Motiejunas plays, as well. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:07 pm
  • Clint Capela (leg) says he feels good
Clint Capela (leg) said he's feeling good and he remains on pace to return in the next week or two.

Advice: "My legs feel good. My quickness, I can run, stuff like that," Capela said. "Right now, I just take it day-after-day working out. I'm on schedule for four-to-six weeks (original timetable), like they said before. My workout is getting better, really better." As long as you're OK with his 44.6 percent shooting from the free throw line, Capela is worth stashing after averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks before going down. Montrezl Harrell will lose most of his value when Capela is cleared. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:48 am
